We were so excited to finally try this Mandarin as we recently moved to this area. We went on a Tuesday evening (around 7:30 pm), with empty bellies and were surprised to find that while all of the typical food options were available, many of them were cold and had been sitting there for the remainder of the night. It was a quieter night so I understand they wouldn t be making fresh food as frequently, but it was disappointing to go back to grab items like pizza, lemon chicken, garlic bread and waffles to find that they were cold. I will add that the service itself was excellent. The servers are very personable. They shut the music off at around 8:15 despite being open until 9:00 which was also odd and changed the experience. Overall, compared to other experiences at Mandarin, this one didn t live up to what I d expect. Hoping for a better experience in the future.

The Mandarin Newmaket is our favorite place to dine out. Food is always fresh and divers. We always have a good time. Vegetarian options: Im vegan and have difficulty finding vegan food in restaurants. At Mandarin I always eat the brocoli garlic, garlic beans, marinated mushrooms, veggi rolls and salads. Kid-friendliness: We are taking our 2.5 years old grandson with us. The fish tanks are a kid magnet, beautiful looking and very clean. Lots of fun for the little one

Really disappointed. We go to mandarin quite often, but tonight may have very well been the last time. Came with hubby and 2 kids and a baby in a stroller. First, found a hair in the bread and in the sushi, ew, long and black. Second, so ridiculously crowded, they just kept adding tables to the point where you couldnt walk between tables. So tight that my husband had to lift the stroller over peoples heads to get it out of the dining room. Im glad for them that theyre busy, but crowding so many people inside a room is surely a safety violation. Next, we ordered drinks, had to remind the waitress 3 times about it. Then I asked the waitress for a cupcake as it was my sons birthday, she was beyond rude in telling me that cupcakes are in the buffet area, then she turned around to ignore me. I asked another waitress about the birthday cupcake, she ended up coming with a hat and camera, but no cupcake and candle. Im genuinely happy youre doing so well in terms of an astonishing amount of people in a night, but I sincerely hope that you do not continue to provide the kind of service you provided tonight, it would be a shame to a good name. Its also unfortunate youre generating fake reviews to boost your rating. Let really customers speak.

Throughout the year I get bombarded with notifications of free meal on your birthday with 3 paying customers. 7 day before or 7 days after. Well we could only get together 10 days before. But we had 5 paying customers.The guy at the door was very strict about the 7 day rule. If he was a true manager, buisness person or just a nice guy , he should have let it slide because he just lost 6 future customers.

A few weeks ago me, my husband and grandkids coming from Vancouver decided to visit this restaurant. Unfortunately we had poor customer service. It was packed the day we decided to go on (it was around my birthday week in October) and I understand that the employees were flying around everywhere but they made us wait almost 40 minutes to even get a table.I tried speaking to the young ladies up on-front but they were being quite disrespectful. Particularly one young lady in the bar I believe that really that had me on a short fuse simply because I asked where the washroom was and if it was supposed to take long and she decided to ignore me or pretend I wasnt there until I asked again. After that she hastily pointed toward the direction and responded in an ill-mannered tone. I understand that it was hectic and the employees were busy but I knew she wasnt (she was on her phone). I dont exactly remember her name it mustve been Marsa or Marisa. But she should be this rude to customers especially us old folks. Luckily for us we will never need to come back anyway because we live very far off but the wait was not worth the while. My husband thought so too.
