My husband & I chose to celebrate our anniversary here for the 1st time. We were served and greeted by Jake. He was very welcoming, kind and friendly. He wasn’t overwhelming or pushy. Their food was well seasoned and cooked. I had the double surf and turf with a medium well steak that was cooked very well. The seasoning on the seafood was buttery and not over seasoned. My husband had his steak cooked medium and that was also well cooked. We will definitely will be visiting again soon!
Our waitress, Sue was just phenomenal. We came in as a big group for Christmas and she managed us like a champ. Food came out hot and the menu options had something for everyone. This place wins for our family needs!
Ordered a 7 oz steak and lobster tail which came with two onion rings, baked beans and a house salad. Ordered my steak medium rare but it was all over the place. Raw in the middle, well done on both ends and two bites of medium rare. The server asked how it was after one bite and I showed her it was a little well done but said not to worry about it. As I cut into the middle I discovered a massive wad of tendon that even the provided steak knife could not cut through and I ended up leaving 4 of the 7 ounces on the plate because it was inedible. The lobster tail was no better. All the juices and any modicum of moisture was baked right out of it and it had the texture of a rubber ball and it was also inedible. The only edible part of that meal was the salad and two onion rings, which I ate. The server asked if I’d like to order something else but at that point, the question was moot. My dinner was two onion rings, three bites of protein and a salad. That’s what I paid $25.30 for because my lovely server said she was only authorized to take 30% off my food. This used to be a place I frequented and for the most part I’ve never been dissatisfied with the food but this is just a bridge too far to cross back. If the person in the kitchen couldn’t recognize how terrible the food was, it is a poor reflection on the business and I will simply take my business elsewhere.
The place looks very nice inside, the service was excellent, I ordered beefy slow smoked ribs and I really enjoyed the meal, the only thing I didn't like was the loaded potato, it was a bit hard meaning less baked. There is a large car park outside with plenty of parking.
I have always love Log Cabins so feel so comfortable here. Surf n Turf been a long time since I had one so good. We added a skillet of mushrooms now so full. Sue is a wonderful waitress and care about my dining experience from beginning to end.
Jake was our server and he was amazing. Fish and chips and burger was good. Do not recommend the tacos. Overall, food is okay but service is amazing.
Great food! Great service (thanks to our server Ty who helped make it even better). We were so excited and hungry I forgot to snap a shot of our food before we devoured it! All I can share is a shot of our dessert, what's left of it! Lol..NY cheesecake was sooo good and the kids loved the mini donuts.
Went in for dinner with the family on Sunday evening. Our server was attentive and prompt. The food tasted good and the portions were great as always. Although, I remember the ribs being juicier and meaty.

clean place, staff is terrific however you would think that a barbecue house would offer chicken wings with some sort of barbecue sauce or a spicy barbecue sauce rather than just hot medium and Mild Buffalo sauce or for that matter some dry rubs
The last time I visited Montanas, I was glutened by the gf food I ordered, and the service was inattentive and scarce. We came quite often, but this time, I was disappointed with the service. ²

As a Newmarket local, Ive tried just about every restaurant in town. Ive had some less-than-stellar experiences at Montanas in the past, but Im thrilled to report that something has changed for the better! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. Our server, Kevin, was fantastic. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. He even let me know the coffee would be a few minutes because they were brewing a fresh pot and it was worth the wait! Theres nothing like a good cup of Joe. I drink it black and it was definitely not burnt and not very acidic. The food was also on point. My girlfriends pulled pork nachos were a huge portion and delicious. I opted for the two-piece fish and chips, and it was cooked to perfection with a crispy beer batter. The kids enjoyed their pizza and fries and sliced cucumber, which were also well-prepared. It seems like maybe new management or some kind of internal shift has happened because this visit was a complete 180 from past experiences. If youve been hesitant to try Montanas or had a bad experience before, I highly recommend giving them another chance. Theyve definitely stepped up their game and are living up to the Montanas name. Came here Saturday night with a group of friends in the dining room - we wanted to sit at the bar but couldn t because of some private party that ruined the night for loyal customers. First of all, the music was SO LOUD we couldn t hear each other at all! Montanas isn t a club!! Service was slow because literally every staff member was preoccupied with this private party - drinks took FOREVER. We even asked to see a manager at one point and our server told us the manager was too focused on the party. So we just left after one drink. Tip for management - if you re a RESTAURANT open to the public and you insist on hosting private events, CLOSE THE RESTAURANT THAT NIGHT. For a loyal customer it s such a slap on the face to be treated like that.

There is no changing mat in the womens restroom. I had to get out of the car to change for my baby. was very cold and we had to sit with coats on, Even though we asked them to turn on the heating
December 7th 2024 we came to celebrate my birthday as a party of 9. We sat down to order when we noticed that our waitress is being really short with us, I understand my old man took a little while to decide what he wanted to order but our waitress didn t even wait for him and just left our table to punch in the order. Anytime she brought anything she would throw at on the table and run away, that includes napkins, straws and our cutlery. Nobody checked on us after we got our food. We were constantly trying to flag someone down for wet napkins, anytime we tried they either ran by or said they ll be back. After everything I flagged a lady down and asked for a manager, she said I can speak to her, I explained everything that happened and honestly it just felt like she didn t care, I thanked her for listening to me and asked for the bill. She came back with some free appetizer coupons that I didn t bother taking because there s no way I m coming back there. I know a big corporation like the one that owns Montana could care less, but I left with tears in my eyes, we all know how hard it is to afford eating out these days and the one time I do that s what happens.

We used to come to Montana s for steaks and they always were good. This location we tried first and a bit disappointed. The meat was not only overcooked but was also definitely frozen. I understand that it s not the main dish in the menu, but remove it then if you don t want to cook it. Also it wasn t busy at all and we still had to wait longer then usual first for our meals, for bill, for change and in the end the waitress totally forgot about our change. I m on strict sport diet and it was my rare time when I can get something extra, so upset that it turned out like this

Our family came (6 of us) and we made a point to be ready to order right away because we were in a rush. One of my kids also had to go pee so we wanted to get our order in before she left the table (in a rush). We told the waitress that we were all ready to order but she (older, blond hair and tan) told us that she would do the drinks first (even though we told her we were ready). She came back with the kids drinks and we asked again if we could order and told her that we re in a rush. She told us again to wait. After a while, My daughter couldn t wait and had to go to the bathroom and while she was away at the bathroom, the waitress finally came back to get our order but they didn t have what my daughter usually (we would regularly go here) which meant that we couldn t order. Everyone has bad days, busy days and things can go wrong but the waitress seemed annoyed and giving us attitude so we reminded her that we were ready right away and even reminded her that we told her the second time we were in a rush and ready to order. Other than that the drinks were watered down (the momma or the poppa). The time it took to finally order (about 30mins), the attitude and experience made us just want to ask for the bill (and leave a review). We paid for the drinks that just showed up and left.

Worst meal ever!! 13+ bucks for lunch meal, that has only beef soup, beans were horrible, and Ceasars salad was gross. Never got my extra dressing. Still starving! Ohhhh, free lemonade that we got when we were leaving, so we never drink it. And what....a whole dollar off my meal? Instead of getting me the salad dressing, she just took the whole salad. which was fine because it was not that good. Disappointed is an understatement!!! Wont be back for lunch anytime soon, that is for sure. What happened to this place? Definitely will tell all my friends.
