Great food and big portions! They also hold promotions on certain items daily!

I was not going to write a review but now I feel compelled to. Was in the hood and feeling peckish, checked out this place and since I only wanted a small snack I ordered medu vadas. Was told they come in batches of 4 so I ordered two batches. Tab came to just over $20. I thought that was too pricey. However on delivery, they were well packed with a generous serving of sambar and chutney. The vadas were among the best I have had, the sambar was smokey, yummy and not runny. A hint of sweet but still very tasty. Chutneys were ok and on the bland side. Considering the whole package of 4 vadas, sambar and chutney I now feel that at $9.99 is acceptable (remember I got two servings for $20 and change). I got value for my money. I will go back to taste their other dishes. They place is clean and the service is pleasant. I wish them well.

Service was great. Food was okay but the portion is a bit small for the price.

I have been here before and the quality of food has been decreasing . The lamb biryani that I ordered outstanding taste but the lamb was raw and not properly cooked . This is my go to place hope they look into this more seriously.

The honey garlic cauliflower was out of this world and the masala dosa was also yummy. They were a bit spicy for me but perfect level of spice for my son. I am a meat lover but this meal was one that both my vegetarian son and I could enjoy.

Ordered a lamb roti. Lots of potato but only two small pieces of lamb. I think $20 is too much for this. Wont do it again thats for sure.

If youre looking for value for your money, this is not the place. I ordered chicken biryani and one piece of naan bread. The biryani chicken with rice was extremely dry and it was about six little chunks of chicken with spiced white rice. Then I got one piece of naan bread and a pop which cant do almost $27. When I mentioned to the guy that the price seemed a bit high for the food, all he could do was smile at me and tell me it was heavy. He is correct. It was heavy because there was a lot of white rice so there was a total value of about $2 in that dish that I spent $27 on. I will not be back!

Wow. 2nd time ordering the masala dosa and it is really good. Nice portion and the masala is tasty with the right amount of spice. Comes with the obligatory dipping sauces and sanbar.

Guys I m giving you five stars for the food but the outside appearance is bad. You need to Windex your front doors to show people you run a clean place. Honest. It s a turn off when I can barely see through the door. It would only take ten minutes and it may get you more customers. Just a kind gentle suggestion.

Very disappointed with the service. By seeing the group of 2families (8ppl), the person at the counter said they ve only half an hour before closing so we were told to get take away and said NO to dine in. Will never go again

Ordered BOGO uber eats promotion. They only filled both the bowls 50%. This is a very deceiving strategy.

Crazy Spicy Chicken Lollipop and the Biryanis are my favorite at this location. Dosas are good too. Havent tried any rotis. Owner is generally in the restaurant and ensures food is up to the mark and customers are satisfied. Ordered catering, price was reasonable and service was excellent.

Great food. We are vegetarian and ordered around 7 different dishes including Idli, Dosa, Biryani and Roti combo. Everything was superb in taste. A special shout out for Idli, Chutney and Sambhar. Ambience is also superb compared to other My Roti and My Dosa locations Only average Taste was Kadai paneer.

Food is definitely good but knocking off 2stars due to small portions. I ve ordered masala dosa and pav bhaji dosa on different occasions and the filling is too little, sambhar too little. It leaves you still hungry! That s unusual if you get a dosa. I understand inflation is here but ok then charge $2more but do justice to the dish. Im a petite woman and dont need big portions but this is a bit too small.

Should be called Roti Cheapskates. Portions (filling) is too small to be called a roti. I ordered a butter paneer roti because I wanted more vegetables in my roti and not just paneer. At least this was their suggestion when asked .what a cheap portion and filling!! The whole thing was bread and very little inside, what happened to the good old days when rotis were actually full, and there was more filling than the wrap???! Won t go back

Very welcoming owner ( Akshay) and staff..had idlis which were hot and fluffy. The chutneys complemented the idlis so well !! Will be back for more !

Vadapav was fabulous

I ordered the med chicken roti with double the chicjen. For some readon...the roti spice wa not as spicy wgen you ordered double the chicken. I tam guesding they do not accommidate the spices when you double the chicken.

Ive been searching for good roti in the Newmarket area for years and now Ive found it. Had the classic roti with chicken and moms sauce and medium heat. It was damn near perfect. Cant wait to try more on the menu.

Had the lamb vindaloo roti. Amazing flavour. Had a good amount of spice and good portion. Definilty recommend this place for people who enjoy curry.

Ive been meaning to try this place and it did not disappoint. I had the My Dads Potato roti and it was great! Be careful if you order it extra spicy. I did with no regrets, but others may not feel the same.

Came for takeout. Ordered one masala dosa, it took over an hour for the food to be prepared. The restaurant had 5 tables of guests. All without food until 40 minutes after I arrived when finally 1 table got their food. I ve been to the Bradford location and ordered 3 meals vs 1 and it was ready in 15 minutes. I won t be returning to this location unless assured that the speed is increased. Waiting over an hour for a single take out meal is unacceptable

Ive been there before and its amazing! The food is absolutely delicious, especially their Indian dishes. The flavors are rich and authentic, and the portions are generous. The service is top-notch too. I highly recommend trying their butter chicken and garlic naan. You wont be disappointed!

The food at My roti place/My dosa place was delicious. I tried various dishes of curries and dosa it was packed with flavour. The portion size was just right and the presentation was lovely. We had Masala dosa, Mysore masala dosa, chennai chicken fry and indian coffee. Both dosas was really huge and tasty. But i expected chennai chicken fry more to be South Indian but it was not, more like a Indo-Chinese dish. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars. Chennai has nothing to do with that dish. Place is pretty new in this location. Staff seemed nice and the food seemed fresh. I ordered a roti and it was delicious, however I dp like a little spice, but the one I ordered I asked for some spice and they werent kidding. It was in fact the spiciest meal Ive eaten in my life.

Great indian food in Newmarket, finally! As. brit who moved to the area 7 years ago have struggled to find tasty indian food outside of Toronto. A friend recommended this after trying the Toronto one. I did, and loved it. ill be back for more soon.

Takeout food arrived with containers packaged on its sides. Nothing was leaking but seemed really weird. The food was pretty bad anyway. Overly spiced, small pieces of vegetables, a slimy salad. I threw most of it away.

Super Duper like all the chaat.. If you wanna eat authentic Vada pav, this is the place to go to I tried most of the vegetarian dishes today, n I can t wait to try the Non vegetarian dishes next The taste surely superseded my expectations.

Great food must try

First time getting take out and trying this place. It took about 15 min to make the food. I ordered chicken roti and pan puri. The roti had 3 very small pieces of chicken and 3 small pieces of potato and lots of sauce, I expected more for the size of the roti. The pan puri was barely filled, maybe 2 chickpeas per puri. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Nice ambiance. Had dosa and rose milk. Good taste. Could not say economical but still good to go..

We ordered on uber eats a couple days ago for their curry chicken stuffed roti & it sucked & super flat. Flavor was there but they are stingy! Only 5 small cut up chickens in the roti & sauce thats it. Not even any potatoes. Better to eat at other indian restaurants to be honest. That was our first & last time ordering here.

I got the chicken Briyani bone in at this place. I was dissapointed with the lack of chicken that came with this meal. For 17.49+ tax I would expect a bit more meat. The food was packed with rice, came with 3 pieces of chicken 1 drumstick, and 2 thigh pieces. However, the thigh pieces were all bone and had very little meat. I felt cheated. Service and decor was nice though. Definitely better value out there in terms of portions and quality in Newmarket.

Its an amazing restaurant in Newmarket. The honey garlic cauliflower, paneer poutine, was best in start up. Maysore Masala Dosa is really a best test above all. Its a real South Indian large size dosa. Sambhar has real authentic taste. Desert (cheese cake) made the manu complete, and it was an amazing time. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so ambient and pleasant. The staff did an amazing job. I recommend this place.. must try....

We ordered 1 masala dosa, ghee dosa and take out onion chilli uttapum. The dosa was crispy but the masal in the dosa is a less quantity. The Sambhar didn t even taste like the Sambhar. It was sweet. Coconut, tomato and peanut chutney was good. Vegetarian options: Lots of south Indian dishes to choose from

Amazing food! Only concern is that they didn t put the sticker to seal the box on the lip of the lid, instead they just put it on the face. This worries me for food safety during delivery as we don t know if the food is tampered with. One box they did it right, the other box they didn t. See photo. Everyone do yourself a favour and order the Samosa Chat, Just trust me! This is my third time ordering it on uber eats. From savoury to sweet yet spicy and salty the perfect balance of every flavour combination. OMG, I just had the most incredible experience at My Roti Place My Dosa Place! The food was out of this world! From the moment I walked in, the aroma of spices filled the air and got me even more excited. I started with the samosas, and they were perfectly crispy with a deliciously spicy filling. Then, the butter chicken arrived, and it was pure perfection and the chicken was super tender. The naan bread was fluffy and topped off the meal perfectly. And the dosa! It was like a crispy, savory pancake filled with a mouthwatering potato masala. The combination of textures and flavors was mind-blowing.Overall, a truly satisfying and unforgettable dining experience! Its definitely a special place to check out!

Went to try this restaurant with some friends since we have heard such good things about it on different food groups. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted with friendly smiling faces right away. They then proceeded to answer all of our questions about the different dishes and made some recommendations. We ordered the Classic Roti with Lamb filling and the vindaloo sauce, and also the dosa with chicken pikka. Both had generous portions and were very delicious. We did get the medium spicy and it does have a bit of a kick to it. The great thing about the dosa was that my son, who has a LIST of food allergies, can eat it. He LOVED the dosa and kept asking for more. The person we spoke to at the restaurant basically said he can have any of the dosas even with his allergies, which is awesome. My friends ordered the minced lamb dosa and the portions were also very generous. I would definitely recommend this place. Great service, great food.

It does take a bit of time to get your food, so call ahead. It s well worth it, because everything is cooked completely fresh. I ve been here twice and had the dosa and the sambar vada. The flavours do not disappoint. This is on the top of my list for favourite Indian restaurants in Newmarket!

Ive been here to this location four times now after first having tried their Maple store. It is excellent. I have had the uttampham and the chicken tikka dosa and can highly recommend either. I have had South Indian cuisine at fancier places down in Mississauga and the food here is on par with theirs. The key difference it is served on a box rather than a plate. The staff at this location are very friendly and accommodating to special requests. The amazing part is excellent dosa is available right here in Newmarket now.

Honey Garlic Cauliflower is so yummy, delicious and mouth watering. It s crispy and very testy. Would definitely recommend to all. Vegetarian options: There are lots of options for vegetarian. Definitely like to go again.

My colleagues and I came here on the grand opening, excited to try this new restaurant as we love Indian food. The staff were very friendly, however after eating here my colleagues and I faced stomach issues and were on the toilet for a while. I would also like to add that I had made a reel in order to enter the contest for the $100 gift card that was offered for the best reel on Instagram , if enter during the grand opening. They never announced a winner and whenever I called the restaurant or messaged them on Instagram, I was given the run around. The owner said the winner would be announced within 5 days from The grand opening and would be reposted on their Instagram store (@myrotiplace). I checked everyday. They posted stories but none of the stories had a reel from the Newmarket location. If they re lying about something as small as a gift card, it makes me wonder what other shadiness is going on within the restaurant. My colleagues and I will not be back.

Awesome food and authentic South Indian food. Fabulous service, very clean and atmosphere looked exuberant. Great value for money because of large food portions. Everything is cooked fresh. Staff was very friendly and inviting. Most recommend place for all.
