Placed an order with skip. Last time they did forget my 2 Pepsi-Cola. Probably 3 months ago. I placed an order tonight. Called the store and brought up how they forgot my pops months and months ago. They remembered my order. Added 2 pops no questions asked. The food. 2 Montreal smoked meats. Amazing. Pilled high. Good amount of fries. Great experience

Food was fantastic, the place was clean and quiet and our server was a lovely lady. Portions were amazing, flavourful definitely will be back.

The clubhouse and Caesar salad were so delicious. Caesar dressing tasted homemade and garlicky - yum. I look forward to trying more dishes!

Greek salad with steak was very good for a hearty luncheon. Place was empty, hopefully this will change so we keep the business going.

Good portion sizes

I got delivery....the sauce that com a with the bacon-wrapped scallops is insane. I know its homemade. You could never purchase something that good. Next time I will just order a bucket of it and dip whatever in it. A spoon will do.

Amazing food

I was having a very tough time finding a restaurant to eat at that had not already disappointed me in the past with either bad service , food etc i can assure you i was not disappointed even the slightest while visiting cousins this past week with my family ! We had never eaten there before and wanted to try something new and I m so glad we did . The food was excellent, service was amazing as well and over all i will be going back . Steak was seasoned beautifully and veggies were perfectly cooked . 10/10

Sunday evening Sept 15th 2024 Prime Rib served cold, seared both sides. Cold mashed potatoes. Had to re-ask for side order mushrooms. Bartender served as Chef? Novice waitress?

Went with some friends last night for the first time, food was good and the chef was extremely accommodating. Would definitely go again.

We went there to take someone for his 16th birthday He had the New York steak didn t even look like a Mew York steak my husband had the prime rib prime rib came to him like the meat was boiled. It was white with gravy on This is a place that we would never ever go back to again the food was not good at all. I would say more enough said

First time there, food was fantastic and I m a very picky eater. Got the fried shrimp and jalapeño poppers to start. Chicken parm and blt club with fries for the main. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Service was very quick efficient and super friendly. Atmosphere was nice with great music playing. Also got a few drinks and the bill was under $100! Lovely time.

Ok food... didnt try the grill which is the speciality.. tried a daily special risotto.. it had good ingredients and portion but it was bland... Im not sure if it is, but it looks like a restaurant you find on any regular hotel.

Found this place why strolling around Newmarket. It is definitely a hidden treasure. Food was AMAZING. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The service is just as amazing and the owner is so welcoming. This will definitely be our regular spot for lunch and dinners

We stayed at the hotel across the street. We wanted a nice light dinner after a long day of travelling. We found the prices of standard meals very high. We decided to split a 2 pce fish n chips. The price was higher than other places, and the fish and chip share was very small. No coleslaw, but were offered Broccoli soup. No Belgium Moon beer as advertised. May try it one more night for wings, but not sure, They too are pretty pricey.

I got the top sirloin steak came raw, I sent it back then they just recooked that steak so it became dry for a 40 dollar steak I expect way better than frozen steaks and mash potatoes that are 20 years old tasted not good at all for the prices they charging dont recommend this place

Quickly becoming one of my favourite places to eat locally. Quiet location, great staff and the music they play is (all cover music, very relaxing) made the atmosphere pop for me.

It was fine. We got great service. My prime was tasty. The veal was tough, though. Biggest complaint would the paper napkins. Really? Paper napkins in a self-described steak house? If you want to be taken seriously you need to atep it up and get cloth.

The service here was amazing. We came into Newmarket late for a hockey tournament and it was around 930 when we came into the restaurant. We were able to order apps and our meals and also received some desserts to share as a family. The food was delicious as well. Thank you to the manager for being so hospitable as well.

Great place for a bite. I have the Montreal smoke sandwich and fries...they serve the shoestring fries which were quite good. Tasty food. Went there for lunch. I was told serving size is huge, but I didnt find that to be true. So between average serving size and price, I give them 4 stars. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly for sure. Is there any bad dish here??? Our experience found the food here are all good and delicious. We are not Newmarket local ppl, we have been here for 5-6 times within a year and a half since our nephew goes to boarding school in Newmarket. (I am Asian-born and my husband is Canadian) Executive Chef Vannan and his team always cook steak right as requested and also others dishes. Front staffs are always nice and polite and attentive. Make it short-it s worth the time and the money in all aspects We highly recommend this restaurant if anyone looks for the good food. Parking: Right in front of the restaurant.

Food was mediocre. Some tasted old and reheated. -House breaded shrimp okay - slightly soggy -Chicken bites - very soggy -Broccoli soup - was good but likely microwave heated -Chicken souvlaki dinner - pretty terrible. Potatoes were hard and old and reheated. Tzatziki tasted old and slightly off. Rice was bad. Salad ok. Chicken was ok. Not nicely char grilled. -Fish and chip haddock special - extremely soggy despite confirming with server that it was be crispy. Tartar did not taste house made. Sugary. Not thick batter though. Tried to complain but nothing was done to offer to resurrect the situation. -Reuben seemed ok - did not come with mustard or sauce. -Steak sirloin dinner - was it ok, was served way over done as we asked for medium. Sloggy mashed potatoes. Nice vegetable medley. -Asked for an order of grilled shrimp which was not offered on the menu and it was probably the best item that was served. Service was alright, but we were constantly having to help lift and clear heavy plates whilst eating as opposed to allowing time to finish plates and place to the side for clearing. Restaurant infrastructure needs update too. Female washroom stall door was completely broken, and no toilet paper. No paper towels provided to open multiple doors for exiting which I found unhygienic. Table top to the side was completely broke and leaning upon it almost caused an accident. Patched up holes in the walls needed paint. Cool disco ball in larger banquet room.

I thought it would be different according to the reviews, but from the moment I arrived, I felt very hurried, and the strong smell of fried foods was hard to enjoy lunch. I wont be going back.

Staff, especially Vannan, the chef/manager are very friendly and want to make sure you enjoy your food. I cannot eat onions so he allowed me to have bacon instead on my yummy liver. Fresh grilled vegetables are an amazing mixture of bok Choy, beet, carrots, asparagus, and zucchini. Definitely a place I would recommend. Oh and the home made cream of potato soup was delicious.

Not very cozy! All red decor. I ordered chicken parmasean. I have never heard of non breaded Chicken Parm. Wasnt a fan. The rest of my group seemed ok with their food but didnt like the atmosphere. Quite pricey also.

All of our meals were delicious and had great portion sizes. We ordered the fish and chips, chicken souvlaki, and prime rib. Very good customer service and the owner is very sweet as well! Highly recommend :)

Went to Cousins Steakhouse & Bar for dinner. It s located 110 Pony Dr in Newmarket. Fantastic food!!!! I ordered their Prime Rib (medium rare). They came back to me to let me know they only had the medium and would that be okay. Wow any other place would just serve you with what they had and hope you don t complain. I graciously declined and ordered their steak with shrimp. Done to perfection! The staff are sooo friendly. The servings are a good size. The prices are great. I highly recommend!!!!

Although a considerable improvement to our last visit, its still a meh place to eat. My souvlaki was flavourful and the potatoes were well cooked, however the chicken was on the dry side. I played it safe. My husband got the ribs. They had been boiled before being waved over flames. No seasoning to speak of, just some store bought sauce. Service was alright. We were a large party. Food came out on time. I did not see the steak one of our table mates got. Atmosphere is still very 80-90s chic.

We were a party of 5 last night. 2 are picky eaters. Everyone had an amazing meal. Ribs were fall off the bones delicious. Chicken souvlaki was really good too. Service was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to returning.

Cousins Steak House & BAR is one of the best restaurants that I have been to in my life. First of all, their appetizers are delicious and irresistible. I particularly love their hot wings and sea food platter, and they go well with my scotch and draft of Stella. Their service is very fast compared to the other restaurants that I have been to, whereas from the moment you arrive at the restaurant till you leave the place, all of your needs are taken care of in a timely manner. When it comes to their main items, I love the chicken souvlaki and their prime ribs the most. Prime ribs are cooked to perfection. If I were to describe all my favorite items at this place, I would need pages because every item I tried on the menu was more than satisfactory. One thing I can never forget is: I had gone to dine with few of my friends on a very busy day and there was no space left in the dining area for customers during that time, but the owner was kind enough to still accommodate our group in their banquet hall area which was strictly reserved for events only at the time. So yeah, if anyone wants to grab food with their friends/family or host an event, then I would highly recommend this place.

We came with our cousins . First time coming here. Its a great ambiance and very good service. Price is so resonance for the quality of food. We will definitely come again. The only small request i have will be hotter coffees.

This place is absolutely amazing! I d compare it to Baton Rouge. The ribs are the best. Now that we ve found this little gem, I bring my family every week. Great food, great staff and great atmosphere. I can t say one negative thing.

First time here. We saw the place when we had the Cambodian noodles the other day. We didn t expect much but what a surprise! We ordered seafood linguine and smokey ribs. Both are absolutely delicious. Even the cream of potato and chicken barley soups come with the sets are amazing.

Had the Prime Rib !! It was absolutely fabulous. Very friendly staff . Will definitely come back .

Had baby back ribs. Came with a side (french fries), coleslaw and choice of salad or soup. (potato and cheddar soup). Everything was really good. We also ordered the pork souvlaki. Pork was very tender. Came with potatoes, rice and Greek salad. The staff were very friendly. They seemed honestly happy to be cooking for us.

Would not recommend ordering takeout from this restaurant. Order confirmation estimates 20-30 minutes to prepare the order, only to tell me Ready for Pickup 10 minutes later. Needless to say my order sat on the bar for a while. When I got back and opened my order, there was no soup, which the menu states is included with the meal. Lastly, and this could just be a personal preference, but I found it odd that the fries were sweet, as if there was sugar in the seasoning. Definitely not for me.

Honestly our hopes were high based off of reviews. We walked in and it was quite quiet for a Saturday night. We decided to order a grilled calamari to share before ordering mains. It took 20 minutes for an appetizer even though it was quiet . We were provided with plates but no cutlery and no one came to check in as to how the food was or if we would like to order anything else- although when we sat down we let her know that we had no decided if we only wanted an appetizer or if we were going to order mains. The calamari was not cooked well as it was chewy- although the sauce it came in was great Overall not a great experience and we decided to go to another restaurant to continue our evening. Disappointing experience, did not stay for dinner so take this as you will. Went there tonight based on reviews (travelling from outside the area) and was sorely disappointed to the point I left before ordering. It all came down to the staff not knowing what a Rusty Nail was. 2 servers, and I believe the bar tender? came to ask me and then one of the servers came back a 2nd time to ask me to write it down so they could look it up in a book they had. It was at this point I decided to leave. Now the staff on duty were very courteous, and apologized when I told them I was leaving so this is not down to uncaring staff. The owners of this place need to revisit their training procedures, invest in their staff to help them be successful, and in turn you wont have patrons who never become customers because they leave before they order and writing reviews such as these. I hope you find this feedback useful.

Amazing food, very cool restaurant. Jennifer was an amazing server such a beautiful girl, such a genuine and sweet heart could come back just to see her.

This place was really nice for a celebratory steak dinner with my son (9). We each had the 8oz steak dinner followed by an ice-cream sundae and cherry cheesecake. We shared the ice-cream and brought the cheesecake home, because we were both too full from the dinner. Overall, we were both very pleased with the taste, presentation, and portion sizes of the food. In short, the food was great!! The service was also very good - attentive without being overbearing, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is cozy, family friendly, and the prices are affordable.

Definitely would not recommend the set menu for large groups. $45 for a small pale lettuce only salad, small piece steak or salmon, 2 coins of barely cooked carrot, 1 tiny sprig broccoli, decent scoop of mashed potatoes, ok piece of cheesecake. Not sure where these awesome reviews are coming from. Could be the alacarte or lunch menu is much better. The fact it wasnt busy on Friday night may be saying something. Sorry but cant recommend. Well, quite frankly all I really have to say is wow but I really couldnt leave it at that. We had our fantastic meals delivered and it showed up HOT, the portions were massive and the veggies in the pasta were fresh and al dente as well as the noodles it came with.

My husband and I were in Newmarket for a couple days and discovered Cousins. The food was fantastic, big portions and priced right. We were so impressed the first night we went back again our second night. The first night we both had pastas which were excellent and the second night I had a steak and my husband the smoked meat sandwich. Highly recommend this restaurant - it exceeded our expectations.

Good energy

This restaurant is a nice low key establishment. A smaller dining room, can make for an intimate location for dinner, especially if you re on a date. I went with my fiancée, we had a whole spread, steak, salad, soup, garlic bread, calamari, etc etc. I enjoyed the Cesar salad and the garlic bread, my fiancèe thoroughly enjoyed her calamari. The steaks were good, but not my greatest yet. Overall though we had a pleasant dining experience here and would definitely come back again soon!

The food was great, the service and staff were wonderful and it was a great atmosphere. Definitely family friendly- we had a large group with two babies and a toddler and they made us feel very comfortable and accommodated for. Would definitely recommend! Kid-friendliness: Its a comfortable atmosphere to have your kids with you.

For the value here, a solid 4. Portions were great, food was very flavourful service was fast. Patio is awesome. Just missing a few small items to make it a 5 like a proper drink list or cocktail list and music without commercials! I reserve my 5 stars for fine dining that has it all and this is great but not fine dining. Looking forward to coming back.

This steak house is off the main road, so not everyone knows about it. We are so glad we found it. The food is always top shelf, service is quick and its quieter than the at the Keg etc. We like shopping with the small guy vs the big brands more and more. Give cousins a try, youll love it. We do.

Went for dinner on Sunday with my family. Was fairly busy but we were still able to get a booth. We ordered a 10 oz New York steak, grilled chicken breast with garlic mash, Caesar salad with salmon, and a grilled cheese for my little one. Our starter salads were promptly brought to our table. There appeared to be a few larger groups dining so it was totally understandable that it might take a few minutes to get our food, but before we could even think about it the owner graciously offered us some soup options to choose from and apologized for the wait. We had beef and barley soup which was very tastey. Just as we finished the soup our meals arrived and everything tasted great, I did order my steak medium and it came a little on the medium-well side but it was still delicious. The owner again suprised us with a complimentary dessert which was tiramisu and a chocolate brownie with ice cream. Overall the atmosphere was nice, service was good and friendly and the food was exceptional. The menu has good variety which makes this place perfect for family dining. My only suggestions would be... Crayons and coloring books for kids. Condiments either on the table or brought out with the food (ketchup primarily, vinegar is nice too) Overall it was a good experience and we will definitely be back again. Update: Have since been back twice. Both times service was rather poor. Quality of food seemed lackluster for the price. Our last visit there was only 1 other table and as soon as I walked in I mentioned we needed a high chair, it took nearly 10 minutes before the waiter noticed we had a baby... Water was brought out but we were never asked about drinks even though we were holding drink menus in our hands as he poured the water so we never ended up ordering any... Long wait for menus.... long wait for order to be placed... waiter checked on us once the entire time... We were all packed up and ready to go... still the only table... and finally waiter showed up with the pitcher of water asking if we wanted refills lol... asked for the bill... long wait again... Should have gone to Cambodia Noodle King instead which is what we wanted to do but they were full, now I understand why there was only 1 other table

Just had lunch here for the first time since Covid. The new owners took over right before Covid--unlucky timing for sure. As before, the food was excellent. I had the Greek Salad (creamy dressing version--not village style)--so yummy!!! Hubby had a deli sandwich (came with fries AND soup) which he also really enjoyed. But what really prompted me to write this was a small but significant gesture on the part of the server (Arutra). When he brought over the water, the lemon perched on the side of the glass had fallen in. He just noticed it after placing the water on the table so he immediately offered to take the glass away and replace it. To me, this indicates a high respect of hygiene practices. A cut lemon is touched by the bar tender and Arutra was sensitive enough to realize that this was something I might be uncomfortable with--the lemon now floating in my glass. We will be back for sure!

We normally go to The Keg, but thought we d try Cousins based on the reviews. Very nice on the inside, but very boring music and vibe. Music is horrible - that s all I can say about that. Service was attentive; but, we did had to ask for our bill, and we were the only people in the restaurant on a Friday night. We did eat early - but still - no one at the bar, on the patio? Food was ok - prime rib and NY steak - both were a little tough and the steak was very thin. Sides were good (mashed potatoes, veggies and fries). Wine and beer selection is good. We may try a weekend lunch for a burger to sit on the patio. Really wanted this place to be better. Overall, not worth the $ we paid. And update your menu - no 6 oz strip loin on your menu when we got there.

Once again enjoying this delicious food. This occasion was to celebrate our daughters 20th birthday; Everything was spectacular: the attention, the quality of the food, the generous portions of the dishes, the appetizers. simply 10/10

The coworkers took me out for a birthday dinner!!! and the food was absolutely delicious and made fresh and everything came out very quick. I was very happy with the server. She put up with us being a little loud and excited I will definitely be coming back.

What a gem - was recommended to us by two other families and happy to report, this place lived up to their description. Service was warm, friendly and attentive, patio was a lovely setting and the food was excellent and of very good value. Looking forward to making this our regular place.

I saw good reviews on Google and looked at the menu on the review page. I was looking forward to trying it. However, the menu I got on site was completely different from the Google review page and the price was relatively high. The waiter said that the operator had changed but the original store name was still the same. The web menu is not updated in time. The replacement of a new operator may be the reason why there was only one customer at our table at noon that day, and only two more customers were added before leaving. Although the meat of the steak I ordered was medium rare as requested, maybe it was because it was a thick piece of meat that was quite hard and difficult to chew, so I was a little disappointed. The other ribs were pretty good.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cousin s. The place was near empty because of nearby road construction, but glad we persevered through the detour to get to it. Nice atmosphere with large comfy booths and ridiculously high ceilings. Food was delicious and ample portions. Perfectly attentive and friendly service. Will definitely be back.

The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating. I sat at the bar after a long day of work and Rupan made me feel so welcomed and suggested the perfect meal. Strongly recommend

Their food was great steak, and the Alfredo fettuccine was perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive, we were here as part of a company event so cant judge the atmosphere since it was empty but overall I enjoyed it and would recommend this restaurant.

Brought my staff of 12 people here for a dinner out. They had ample room to seat us as one group. Service was prompt, polite and respectful. I was impressed to see them bring out all 12 steaks cooked to preference without a single one going back! The food was delicious and worth the money spent. They even helped me out when I needed to print something for where I was taking my team next. I will be returning here for sure!

This is Newmarkets new old best kept secret. I hadnt been here is over 15 years and wow! So good. Chef is from a well know franchise restaurant with 20 years experience and knows how to cook a steak perfectly. Food was delicious. Staff were lovely! What a hidden gem this is! If you like great food made homemade by a chef you need to check this place out. We ordered the grilled calamari, prime rib and chocolate brownie dessert. Everything was delicious and they even had our favourite wine from Niagara. Great atmosphere. Staff was fantastic. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

It was a great experience at Cousins. Noticed they opened again and wanted to try it out. I remember rousing from back when I was a kid so the nostalgia was nice. Also the food was amazing had the calamari and the rib eye. Both are very good and definitely worth it. Nice to see you back cousins

Great place

Had a wonderful dinner experience at Cousins. They have high quality steak and good choices of wine. We ordered their New York steak w/ Lobster and Liberty school red wine, it was so great! The place has great ambiance and servers were very accommodating! Really one of the best steakhouse in town! Worth the visit! Captured some good photos of their instagrammable place!

Food was good but VERY overpriced for portion size. Montreal smoked sandwich was small and lack luster. Prime rib was satisfactory to the customer who ordered it.

Really nice place for a drink or proper dinner, food is surprisingly good,way above my expectations. Honestly I may choose it over some of the top rated restaurants in Toronto. Dont judge by the Outside or inside decor, if you live in the Newmarket area, this is a place worth to try out.

Havent been since it changed ownership. The food is better now. Still fair prices. Going to star going there again.

Went there for dinner tonight it was busy but there was a few tables empty a nice lady came and said table for 3 no problem I just gotta wipe it down as she did that and then went to get menus another not so nice lady came and ask if we had a reservation we said no she went on to say sorry but we are full and have no room, when the other lady came back to seat us at the table she cleaned with menus in hand I told her that this lady just told us that there was no room and you were full , I am so mad we go there at least 3-4 times a month the nice one did tell her she shouldn t of said that as we walked out the door, I understand busy and we might of had to wait for food a little longer then normal which would of been fine as we were with our grandson who also likes going there, but as the big party in the side was getting cake, and the ones that were sitting on the regular side most had food pretty sure it wouldn t of taken to much time

Ive been going to Cousins for over 30 years and the new owners have really done a great job updating the restaurant! The only thing that hasnt changed us the amazing food and excellent staff, well done!
