Ghost Taco in Newmarket

Was blown away by how good the tacos are here. They really were exceptional. Most taco places have the same toppings with a different protein, but these tacos all have different toppings that go with the different proteins on each taco. Highly recommend.

this is SUCH a good taco spot, total hidden gem. it s always really awesome when a place has several thoughtfully-curated vegetarian options. the charred brussels sprouts live rent-free in my head. plus service is always friendly :) highly recommended! Vegetarian options: 3 different veggie tacos!

After returning twice to Ghost Taco and trying their pick 3 tacos I definitely recommend the Korean tofu taco which has an amazing sauce and is a flavour bomb! The fried chicken taco was also amazing as well. The interior is nice and the service is good. As for price, it can be a little pricey especially including a drink/side and tip. Be prepared to spend at least $20 for a full meal (or more lol) but that s pretty normal for Main St. in my opinion. I haven t personally tried the bowls after my first experience (I found them much too small for the price and wasn t happy with the quality) but my friends have tried them several times and said the quality and size has improved! I m glad they were taking customer feedback and am happy to have different cuisines available on Main St.

Tacos are good. Dont order the fries.. Ghost Taco, can you add any more seasoning and salt? I had to drink two bottles of water to end my thirst. Ugh, skip the fries!

We got delivery and ordered a Ghost Taco beer, but it wasnt included in the order. We ordered pico and guacamole on the side and there was none in the order, ordered no onions (because Im allergic) and one of the three tacos was covered in onions. The tacos were okay, but not great and the order was completely missing items.

Shout out for Andrea! Visited several times and every time we are VERY impressed with ghost taco. This most recent time we visited Andrea greeted us and elevated the experience, they recommended their favourites and the unsung heroes on the menu. Was really great at building rapport and connecting with us as guests cracking jokes and ensuring we got an all star experience. The kitchen staff and fast and amazing at making some of the best tacos. Thank you Andrea for recommending the Birria Quesa! It was absolutely delicious!

Wow!!! You need to check this place out. The food is unreal, but what really pushes it over the top are the friendly and easy going staff. The entire team was welcoming and you could tell they take pride in the place. Great job, cant wait for next time.

Super easy place to bring the kiddo for a dinner out that wasnt stressful. Enjoyed our tacos and a beer, while feeling relaxed. Kid-friendliness: Food came out fast, so we didnt have to manage the squirmies. Atmosphere is relaxed and kids meal was yummy. Vibe is relaxed, so no concerns about kids making noise.

spacious seating; busy w take out orders taquila can drinks is strong in alcohol 12.5% good portions and value on the 4 pack mix and match taco: highly recommend the pull pork; chicken and beef taco; the fish is hugh but not freshly made; very messy but tasty. average $5 each piece i have no complaint. chili fries is really good too; the churro is a bit disappointing; a bit dry and too much cinnamon sugar. in genera, very good value and convenient location. for sure a revisit place for quick dinner or lunch selection

I ate here on Sunday and again today with the family. The food is amazing, and I love the retro vibe. The tacos are delicious, and they are a nice addition to Main St. Cant wait to eat there again. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu us delicious according to my kids. Meat, cheese, bread

Ghost Taco is one of my Newmarket go to s and it never disappoints. The menu is inventive and the food and the flavours are always fresh. My only suggestion is to mix up the menu - like the cheeseburger tacos that were here briefly - more often. And bring back the amazing chicken wings you used to make as a pop up.

A cute yet hip tacos spot which has few indoor spots to sit and eat. We had their poblano con queso tacos (amazing! Almost gave a burger after taste), the Baja fish tacos (very good) and their Korean tofu taco (good but high on the sauce section). Their chili fries were very good too and we enjoyed the guac and chips as well. Fast and friendly service, would definitely come here again for a quick bite. There some street parking but a lot of parking behind the Main Street, which is a few mins walk. Love the Main Street vibe so enjoyed our visit!

A great take on the modern taco! Also has a lot of vegetarian options too. Was really impressed with the service given this this is more of an in and out fast food type of service. It was phenomenal!

Rice was crunchy in my fajita bowl. Flavour was dull. Not as good as Taco Bell and Taco Bell is not great.

The place is right on Main Street Newmarket so perfect for walking around and getting a bite to eat. The tacos were all delicious. My favourite was the birria. Sooo much flavour. I wouldnt get the baja fish one again, just nothing special and the fish was okay. I liked the Alabama chicken but birria stilll stole the show. We got the 3 mix and match tacos for $15. If you order a birria taco you also get consume on the side and it was delicious.

Pretty good taco spot in Newmarket. Service was quick. One thing to point out is the proportion of toppings and meat to the tortilla is not quite even so expect to get somewhat messy when you eat your tacos. They do also have good patio. I tried 4 different tacos and my favourite was the Birria. Vegetarian options: Brussels and Tofu Tacos

I wish there was more beef braised meat in my taco. The baja fish was amazing! So was the birria! Enjoyed it all! Had Jarrito lime drink. three filled me up.

UPDATED: 01JUN2024 Ordered two of their 4 pack taco sets. Ive come to the conclusion that this is fusion food and a twist on Mexican cuisine. The baja fish was a letdown. It was over fried, and the fish was no longer fluffy inside. Imagine an over-cooked fish stick. In my humble opinion, the Alabama Chicken is fire, absolutely amazing. All the other tacos are okay. Nothing to rave home about sadly. My expectation for Mexican cuisine is high, and there are better restaurants in Newmarket. I find they add a lot of different sauces, but the proteins are bland, and the flavors are not really there. The ancho chili fries are okay, but the seasoning is a bit too salty for me. The restaurant is quite nice and has a good ambiance if yourre looking to hang out with friends. Give them a try and see for yourself. Ill leave my review at 3 because the price just doesnt justify the food. *********** Flavors are okay but definitely not authentic enough. Feel free to compare with MADE IN MEXICO (NEWMARKET) or DOS MARIACHIS (AURORA). These restaurants will give you more authentic flavors and value for your money. My wife and I usually spend about $50 at these locations. The price does not justify the value in my opinion. We ordered pretty much one of everything from the taco menu. This is definitely better than a fast food chain. The ingredients are fresh, presentation is top notch even for take-out but the food lacked a little on flavor overall. We spent $90 on everything and the food was good but needs improvement. The wings were not overly chewy which is great and the breading was light and tasted good. The tacos definitely had good portions of meat but again tasted bland. The frijoles was really tasty but the beans lacked that real Mexican flavor. Theres also no dine-in but you have the option of sitting outdoors with minimal seating. Plenty parking available. Judge for yourself and give them a try.

Great first impression at Ghost Taco. We tried most of the tacos and our favourites were the Birria taco and my husband s was the Alabama chicken. I also loved that they had gluten free and dairy free options as well. Would love to see some lower sugar drink options for the marg etc like from the brand Casa Del Ray as an example. Will definitely be back again soon :)

Got Ghost Taco for dinner on a Wednesday, place had steady traffic was busy but no wait to order. I had these once before when they were a ghost kitchen on main, very cool to see they have their own place now. Tacos are delicious, your averaging about $5 a taco, but honesty worth it because they tasted amazing and service was great! Got the Birria Queso, Chicken Tinga, Carnita, and Alabama Chicken. Personal favourite was the Birria Queso, will 100% be back again. Customer service is awesome, very delicious.

Ghost Taco, a lot of hype and nothing to back it up. Tacos are small and covered in sauce, they give you lots of napkins cause it gets messy! The Birria supreme was the only good thing on the menu. The Baja fish taco is literally a fish stick with tons of sauce to mask the fish taste. Pretty disappointed, the food lacks flavor.

Tacos and fries were delicious! The charred brussel sprouts were so good! I got a bowl the second time, and the rice was sooo hard. I expected soft, fluffy rice, but the hard rice really overshadowed everything.

Well Im vegan and my wife vegetarian so we wanted to try the options they have. We had the Brussel sprout and the tofu tacos and ended up going back for seconds. Amazing food. Vegetarian options: Definitely have to try the Brussel sprouts!!

Birria is sooo salty I am still bloated hours later and not fun. This was our 3rd time kept giving it a shot not worth the price. I understand inflation but save your $ on this one. I will never spend another dollar here my stomach still hurts

I m a long time Ghost Taco customer, when they first started out portions and quality were excellent. Somewhere in the middle of its inception the quality of their products dropped off and I became very disappointed and stopped getting Ghost Taco. Tonight I wanted to give them another shot because I was asked to try it again by my friends. When I visited the store was really clean, the service was ok but felt like a fast food restaurant. The taco s quality was a lot better than the last time I had it however, the portion was very small for dinner. Definitely not the best taco I ve had but it s not the worst that honour belongs to St.Louis bar and grill (garbage tacos). It s still better than made in Mexico tacos. I would highly recommend if you need a fast snack or after having a couple of drinks (wink,wink) this is the snack for you. Lots of room for improvement but it was an ok experience all around if you need a snack not dinner. Update: Sent an email to the address Ghost taco replied with and never got a response. Very disappointed .

Seriously GFTs! Order was ready 5m after placing it and everything was fresh and amazing. The birria (both varieties) is a must, as is the fried chicken. The tinga surprised me with a whack of fresh kale, but it works! We will absolutely be back. A bit pricey maybe, what isn t these days? $20 for 4 tacos, but at least you know they re gonna be good. Anyways, definitely worth a try if you re a taco freak like me

OMG, I could not believe how tasty these tacos are and that I would actually fall in love! I ordered the carnita (slow roasted pork), birria (braised beef) supreme, and baja (fish) taco and had a difficult time picking my favorite one. Everything ingredient played a part in achieving the best bite in each taco. The carnita ended up being my favorite due to its freshness from the pineapple and the texture from the chicharron. The consommé that came with the birria taco had a depth of flavor and rich in umami, plus the braised beef was juicy and melted in my mouth. The fish sat right at the top with the two other tacos and was actually my first bite when I quickly fell in love. They dont fall short anywhere here. From the limes that were provided for the fish to the tacos being loaded with ingredients and the friendly service & staff, making it a great experience. They even stopped by our table to ask which one was my favorite. The storefront is spacious and bright. The front of the restaurant is open concept, which opens up to the outside. There is a communal long rectangular table facing the outside with about 5-6 seats & we sat there to gobble up our tacos (and enjoyed a nice tasting guava jarritos), and it felt like we were outside even though we were sitting inside. The storefront is located on Main Street, and the limited street parking can be tricky. However, if you drive onto Doug Duncan, where the Riverwalk Commons & the Community Centre is, there are plenty of parking spots. I highly recommend this place & am dreaming of my next visit already!

I was treated so rudely yesterday at this restaurant I wont return. It was 1 minute to 12 noon and he wouldnt open for orders. He proceeded to let me wait until 12:04 without serving me I walked out.

What a beautiful day to enjoy our taco! We drove up to Newmarket after work as we live quite close by. Though Newmarket was a quite developed area, they still lack of attention, and Main Street (where Ghost Taco is located) was a little deserted so hopefully this taco place could potentially be a driven point to visit! The restaurant was very bright and opened, they have a garage door facing the street which was perfect for the summer days or even nice weather days to enjoy the summer breeze with your taco. For this visit, we each had a set of 3 tacos mix and match, along with a soft drink of choice. I picked the crispy korean tofu, birria supreme, and chicken tinga, while my mom picked the other birria taco, carnita, and baja fish. All the tacos used flour tortilla, and they were very flavourful, expecially the baja fish and korean tofu being our favourite. The fish was crispy and the slaw at the bottom was tangy which paired cohesively well. The Korean tofu reminded us a little bit of the stinky tofu as they both shared the same crispiness, but the Korean tofu has a dollop of gochujang which gave a little heat to the taste, and with the carrot cucumber slaw at the bottom, it balanced out the spiciness. However, the consume that came with the birria tacos was a bit too salty for our liking. The birria taco itself tasted absolutely divine but dipping into the salty consume was a little overwhelming to the flavour, which they would either dilute it a little or put less salt. Overall, it was quite an experience to discover new restaurant in Newmarket! Parking was easy as there were plenty spots down near the train track which were free for 3 hours!

A very hip joint on main street and a great addition to the restaurants in Newmarket. Best taco is the fish taco, birria supreme is too salty for me and safe option is carnita. Love the colour scheme of the interior, staff are super friendly and service is quite fast.

I know I m the black sheep in reviews for this joint, but here we go : - - - - - Not to be a super negative Nancy, I ll start with the PROS: Finally Newmarket has a stand-alone taco joint! - This is super cool Not to mention, in a bomb location, right on Main St in downtown Newmarket The interior/vibe is appealing to GenZ and millennials The service was quick and the staff were friendly I really like the half-in half-out feeling with the front window being able to open up Now for the CON s (& there s not many, but feel like the con s rlly outweigh the pro s): First off.. 2/3 of my tacos tasted like sh!t. I ordered the fish, brussel sprout and tofu options and the only good one was the fish Brussel Sprout taco : Sprouts were mushy and I found the avocado combination with the brussel sprouts to be very odd and did not go well at all. It was just a bunch of green mushiness waste of a taco Tofu taco : The taco was completely overpowered by the gochujang sauce, which was extremely poignant and salty. What could have been a nice soft taco with a delicious interior tofu crunch was just ruined by the horrible sauce - - - - - So there you have it - Cool vibe and location but personally found the tacos to be quite horrible. I can t say much for the meat ones, although the pulled pork one sounded/looked quite scrumptious. Would I come here again? Yeah. Would I get the same tacos? Other than the fish, def not. To be honest the tacos were pretty mid. I drove all the way from Markham just to try them out and honestly it was a waste of time. I got two fish tacos and the chicken tinga taco I believe along with their chips and guac. Let s start off with the fish tacos I would give them 2.5/5 - the fish too me wasn t crispy enough and it was just too saucy The chicken taco - 2/5- the lettuce on top was going bad it was brown a bit and honestly it was just fried chicken it was literally whatever had no taste really The chips and guac - -1/5 - I did not like these at all the chips were gross and the guac was not made fresh that day you could taste that it was going back and it was just left overs from the day before was very brown when I got it too. Service - 5/5 - guy at the front was really nice and I got my food quick. Atmosphere / aesthetic - 5/5 - the inside was really nice but I think they are too focussed on the aesthetic of the store rather than the food. If they put the same effort they did on the inside of their store with their food it could be immaculate and soo much better. Overall I would give it a 2.8/ 5 - deff would not go again there are wayyyyyy better taco place in the city. Wouldn t really recommend to be honest wasn t all that, but they have potential and should revamp their tacos especially being that they re like the only taco place in new market they can do better!

Had a great lunch at ghost taco! This was my first time visiting their new spot. The space is bright and beautiful. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Even though it s not table service they walked around making sure everyone was happy, they even remembered everyone s name from their order! Last but definitely not least, the food was AMAZING! Beautiful presentation, fresh and full of flavour. Wish I had taken a picture to share but I dove right in:)

My family dropped in during Ice Lounge event and thoroughly impressed with the food and cool vibes of the space. I got a taco trio (chicken tinga, birria and the fish) and the flavours were amazing. Especially the sauce on the fish taco. My husband got the chicken tinga bowl and also enjoyed the flavours. The portions was fair for pricing. My favourite part was the hot sauce bar they had of what seemed to be in-house made sauces. Only constructive feedback I have is to have more visuals on your menu to help first-timers in the ordering process. Your presentation is beautiful as evidenced by my photo so why not show that off! People do eat with their eyes first after all :) We ll be back for more tacos!

This local restaurant became my instant favourite! The Birria tacos are so juicy, tender and flavorful I will come back again for it! It will be perfect place to go in the summer!

I got the birria supreme, 2 chicken tingas and a baja fish so much flavour in all the tacos best tacos ive had in a long time the birria sauce was so delicious aswell, the service was amazing and i would definitely come back!! Although it is on the more pricy side it is definitely worth it because you are indeed getting what you pay for.

Heard about this place on the internet. The restaurant seems clean and spacious. We ordered a 4 pack mix and match tacos. The taco shell was freshly fried and was piping hot. The meat was juicy and flavorful, while the vegetable toppings had a fresh crunch. The birria dipping sauce just elevates it even more. Food and service is 10/10. My only criticism is that its a bit pricey. $22.80 after tax for 4 tacos. I would probably have to eat 8 to be full. Would still eat here again when I am in the area though.

Absolutely hit the spot! Love how they let you mix and match up to 4 different flavors. Fav was the char Brussel sprouts. And the Barria. The other vegetarian options were also amazing. The crispy tofu was sooo different and worked soo well in the taco with all the sauces. Friendly service. Just delicious! Vegetarian options: Lots of great flavourful vegetarian options. The staff was very friendly, food was pretty good. I got the try 3 tacos and they all turned out pretty well. My only complaint towards it to not make it a perfect 5 stars is that I found the tacos a little bit too greasy the bottom of the tray holding the tacos was filled right up to the brim almost with watery like grease. Other than that I would recommend giving it a try

Fun and bright atmosphere. It feels like you re in mix between an arcade and futuristic diner. It s always nice when you ask what s good and the guy behind the counter says everything and tells you why. Lots of customization options to accommodate for different dietary preferences. Would definitely come back!

I will start off and say the flavour of the tacos are 5/5, fantastic stuff. What is wild to me is that in the image attached, when a small tip added, the food was $70. It s pretty wild that tacos can come out to $70, what s more disappointing is leaving the place and not feeling full. We actually noticed the couple next to us was nearing the end of their meal and the man got up to get an additional 3 tacos, I guess we weren t the only ones that ran into that problem. Is it worth trying? Yes, it s delicious. Will I be back? Probably not, too difficult to justify the cost for the quantity of food I m getting.

Unbelievable!! I hate this place because now anywhere else I go for tacos won t even be on the same level! We eat quite a bit of Mexican food/tacos, this place is probably THE BEST I ve ever had. If you actually want to come for good tacos this is the best. Everything tasted so fresh, they did not hold back on any ingredients most places I go use very little or no toppings, sauces, etc.. this place has it all. It certainly doesn t feel like a chain or fast food restaurant and is probably 10x better than most top tier Mexican restaurants. I did not believe the reviews at first till I came here! Me and my wife shared 4 tacos for a quick bite after visiting the area. We could have easily ate 12 together. Churros were also so good, and I m not really a churros eater. Price is not crazy, fairly average and beyond worth it. My only tip is to add fajitas to the menu

First time I ordered it was good. I ordered the Birria Tacos or whatever and they were fantastic. This time I wanted to try the birria rice bowl, and wow it was awful. The meat was extremely fatty, I had to sort through each piece so I wouldn t get a mouthful. The rice was hard, like it was either undercooked or very very old. And the whole thing was cold & dry.. how can birria be dry? Needless to say my whole lunch was ruined.

We finally tried Ghost Taco on Friday for my birthday and are only mad we didn t go sooner. Staff were so friendly and went over and above to read all the ingredients to make sure they were dairy free! The music was so fun but not too loud. Service was the perfect balance of attentive but not hovering. The food was incredible! Tacos are some of our favourite foods and these are the best in the area! Thank you for an amazing experience! Ill just say it like this, if youre looking for some very fancy and somewhat gourmet tacos, then this is a spot to try. Im happy to see them finally get their own spot to serve right here on the main street too. The only thing that sets me off often is just the price to the actual portion of food. Its a little more pricy than Im use to, but I never leave saying it wasnt great tasting the many types of tacos they serve here.

Such fresh and flavourful tacos right in our own backyard. Don t need to go to anywhere else to enjoy tacos. Fast service, vibrant place and lively staff! What more can one ask for!! I ve been eating Ghost Taco since they were a pop up in 2020 and the tacos have always been amazing. There hasn t been a single thing I haven t liked, but my favourites are the birria quesa and the charred Brussel sprout tacos. Could not recommend those enough! I was super excited when they announced a permanent restaurant, but I guess the concept evolved over time. Personally I would prefer if it was a full service restaurant (with fresh cocktails to go with the tacos) instead of the fast casual thing. Also, I would really like if the tacos were available in different quantities or individually, as opposed to three or four packs. None of that really detracts from the quality of the food though and it definitely won t stop me from returning in the future.

Their tacos look really pretty and I was excited to try this spot as I had heard such good reviews, but it seems like one of those overhyped spots. I get that they are unauthentic but the tacos are very average and dont taste like tacos at all. The fried chicken taco was literally a piece of chicken tender inside a tortilla with corn on top? The fish taco was mainly batter. The birria was probably the best one of the 3 I ordered, but it lacked seasoning, flavour, and spice. Overall looks like a cute place but not the spot if youre looking for tacos with flavour.

Its always been hard to place take-out orders but now it seems impossible. I guess people like me who dont use the delivery apps are Iike second-class customers. Funny, you would think the restaurant would rather have people phone in orders and not have to pay fees to some app.

The tacos are delicious, they have a very gourmet flavor and style, something different and unique. But the mini soup they serve with the tacos is a bomb for the stomach, because it has a lot of fat, I think they should omit it.

We just tried 3 tacos, they were so delicious, they are so fresh. The charred Brussel sprout is my favourite. This little place filled up quickly at dinner time. Everyone around us seemed to be very happy with food. Coming back for more.

The customer service is phenomenal here. The tacos aren t too bad. I tried the poblano con queso, birria quesa and baja fish. I would recommend the birria out of the 3. I would also recommend the guava jarrito if you haven t tried it yet!

I have been ordering from Ghost Taco for years and as of late I ve noticed the quality go down significantly. The tacos are smaller with less flavour, the rice is bland, and the Guac and Chips is a rip off the $6. I ve given it so many chances, but I have placed my last order. I will not be returning.

Id heard alot of hype about Ghost taco online so I had to check it out. Walking in I was not expecting much, at first glance the restaurant is very simple almost cafeteria like, but when I noticed a lot of people coming in to pick up large amounts of food for take out, I knew this was something special. Its a cool vibe. The service was excellent and the food exceptional. I have eaten tacos all over North America and Ghost Taco ranks right up with the best of them. Well done. Would love to see more locations.

Fantastic food! Ive wanted to try Ghost Taco for a long time and glad I finally did. Read the reviews and had the Mahi Mahi, Chicken Tinga and the Charred Brussel sprouts. I will reorder from here again! Being honest,the price seems a bit steep ( and is what held me back initally) but you are paying for great tasting food, which is totally worth it! The Churrros were also delishious! Cant wait to eat here again

I had the pleasure of dining at Ghost Taco Kitchen last night and I have to say, it was an absolute delight! The staff were friendly and attentive. But the real star of the show was the food - every dish was expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the poblano & birria tacos (as suggested by the server) Overall, Ghost Taco Kitchen exceeded all of my expectations and I will definitely be returning. The birria tacos we ordered were incredibly disappointing. Totally lacking flavour and is nowhere close to the quality you get at Made in Mexico. The au jus was terrible, more like a thick gravy. The chips are guac were very good, however, it is such a small amount of guac it barely feeds one. The spanish rice is good but nothing special. Overall we were disappointed with the overall quality and flavour. The food at event market is absolutely TO DIE FOR, so am extremely confused by the quality at ghost taco if they are owned by event market.

Kaitlyn and the Ghost Taco crew catered our Made in Mexico baby shower for 60 guests. Delicious ready to eat tacos, fresh-made nachos, yummy guacamole and pico de gallo, plus all the ingredients for people to make their own taco combo. There were even churros for dessert! Kaitlyn and Kennedy delivered and set up all the food, then stayed and served perfect margaritas (alcoholic and non) for all our guests. I received rave reviews from everyone. Best tacos ever! My husband and I walked in to check out the event space, and left as long term customers of Ghost Taco. The staff (Amanda and Addison) were beyond personable. They answered every inquiry about the space and food with professionalism and flare. They made my partner and I feel right at home, as if we had been regulars for years. We can not say enough about the incredible staff there. As for the food....wow. just wow. We LOVE Mexican food. And they nailed it. The fresheness in the ingredients was bar none. And the price point cant be beat. We highly recommend Ghost Taco, whether for take out, dine in, or after work drinks. (The patio view overlooking the water is worth sharing a bevy) Cheers! Ghost Taco was originally a pop up but is now a new permanent resident to historic Newmarket and folks.... it will not disappoint you! I wasnt sure what to order and Kaitlyn recommended the Chicken Tinga (if you like spice) and Birria Quessa which comes with an amazing consumé dip. 4 tacos in and my face and belly couldnt be more pleased! My wife a Vegetarian went crazy over Kaitlyns recommendations of the Charred Brussel Sprout and Poblano Con Queso tacos. But it doesnt there. My little one RAVAGED her Kids Quesadilla and chips too. We grabbed everything plus a bit of spirit for about 50 bucks guys... This place. Its legit. Fresh, delicious, great service and wallet friendly. I will update my review with pictures next time, my fam ate everything before I wrote this... You have to try this place. You wont regret it.

Wow, I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Absolutely delicious tacos and great service. The birria tacos are the best I tried in the GTA. The flour tortilla is fried similar to a chimichanga but not too much. The meat and juice were super tasty with lots of flavor. At the end of our meal, they surprised us with free churros that were also delicious. Prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes and taste. Hopefully they open their permanent spot soon.

The food here is awesome, however the last few times we called to place an order for pickup we ve been placed on hold and eventually hung up on (10+ mins). If you want food here, don t call. You won t get served.

Ghost Taco finally opened a dedicated storefront, and we are delighted. The food is imaginative, fresh, and delicious. The decor is bright and inviting. We used to order from Ghost Taco during the lockdown, and always enjoyed the food. We also enjoyed them when they had their pop-up location, but the new place is so much nicer - and the hours are better! Sorry about the photo - half the food disappeared before we could take it!

Bright place with welcoming bright decor. Friendly helpful staff. Their system was a little slow while I was there but that s not the staffs fault. Tacos were delicious. A friend and myself split 4 tacos. I had the Korean fried tofu which had amazing flavours and the fish taco. I also tried my friends one had beef and the other chicken. Price evened out to roughly $5/taco. Would definitely return to try the rest of their menu. Vegetarian options: There was a Brüssel sprout taco and a tofu taco. Korean style tofu was delicious (coming from a meat eater)

We decided to try this place last week, and we were not happy with the quality of the food, their pico de gallo was not fresh and both of us got food poisoning the next day. Also their cookline staff several times they touch their face and head and never wash their hand.If you are looking for Mexican food I dont recommend this restaurant.

Initially, when we discovered the pop up and ordered- the food was fantastic. Since the pop up is now a full time restaurant, the quality has decreased exponentially. We just ordered hoping it was a one of two off, maybe they were too busy the last couple of times. To our dismay, its consistently less than delicious like it was when it was a pop-up. Not only that, but the Burria taco was half full, one half was missing the meat. We will not be ordering from Ghost Taco anymore unfortunately.

All businesses get it wrong sometimes. I found a long black hair in my order. I gave them every opportunity to deal with the situation and they handled it very very poorly - unlike other customer centric restaurants. Apparently, a hair in one taco is not such a bad thing according to the manager. I was disappointed to learn that they don t use hairnets in the kitchen. After supporting these guys regularly throughout the entire pandemic, I am now officially banning them from my list of go to take out restaurants. Amazing food and the family that runs the restaurant puts a lot of love into their establishments, and it shows! It s a community favourite for a reason!

The vibe of the place was great but the tacos took so long to come out. The tacos tasted pretty good wasn t much to complain about but there is still room for improvement. 9/10 great tacos would definitely have again, good job guys!. The chips needed a bit more flavour but the guacamole was great, nice and cold and crisp.

We tried ghost taco for the first time yesterday and we were not disappointed! We started off with frijoles and guac and chips - both were absolutely delicious! For our mains, I had Chicken Tinga, Barria Supreme, and Mahi Mahi - all of which went above and beyond my expectations. Our server Reid was also very attentive and a pleasure to chat with. Overall it was a 5 stars experience and we cant wait to go back! My only compliant would be that because its a pop up shop its not always open consistent hours - these tacos are so good and everything is so affordable and well priced, they deserve to be a full time restaurant :)

I eat a fair amount of authentic taco and sadly was not overly impressed with the tacos I tried. The carnitas were definitely tasty and I was happy with them, they were pretty palatable. However, I may be wrong but it seems as though the taco tortillas are not freshly made and was disappointed to see they weren t corn flour when I opened my containers up. The birria was sadly a disappointment. The flavour was just okay , definitely not terrible by any means but I will say the consumé served with them is objectively too salty. Overall 3/5.

I m posting this negative review on the basis that I have never been able to access this place. They don t post their hours and they never pick up the phone. The website keeps pointing to their instagram page which points you back to their website. Every time we head over, they re either closed or there s an event taking place. This can be avoided if they take the time to publish their hours properly. I get the feeling they don t care. Don t know how you can grow a business this way.

Dont know how to feel yet! Theyre relocating. Looking forward to trying their dine in menu once they relocate in Feb.
