First class restaurant. Tried the bread, appetizers (salmon and soup), entree (duck leg with fries) and dessert (lemon meringue). Got the wine and dine package which included hotel room, bottle of wine, entree with side (only) and breakfast in bed. Fabulous deal.
Okay, wow. The fresh food, heart warming atmosphere, live music, all in a beautiful dining area (in the basement of a hotel) made this a memorable experience. This a go to place for celebrating with a fancy dinner.
I have had two amazing dinners here and wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. The food is incredible and I love the farm to table philosophy with ever changing menus based on local and seasonal cuisine. It means your will have a unique experience each time you visit. The dishes are so creative and always a hit; I love the tasting menu option. It includes an amuse bouche and bread and butter as well. Highly recommend enjoying a cocktail with your meal. Pricing is very reasonable for what you receive. During my second visit, there was some lovely live music playing which really elevated the experience. Servers are also genuine and kind. I will return again.
Incredible food, wonderful service and unbelievable value. One of the best meals I have ever had and went home with leftovers and feeling very full. Highly recommend for one of the best meals of your life!
Restaurant Review: AG Cuisine at Sterling Inn Located in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls, AG Cuisine is a delightful restaurant that masterfully combines the best of local Niagara food and wine. Our group of 13 had the pleasure of dining at their "Chef's Table," a wonderful oval table that facilitated easy conversation for everyone. Chef Cory and FOH Manager Mel were a joy to work with, and we were thrilled with our dining experience. Ambiance: The ambiance was perfect for our large party, with live music adding to the atmosphere in a private room that felt intimate yet spacious enough for our group. The elegant setting was both welcoming and refined, making it an ideal spot for special occasions. Service: The service at AG Cuisine was exceptional. The staff was attentive and efficient, ensuring that our food was served simultaneously—a remarkable feat for a group of 13. Their professionalism and warm hospitality greatly enhanced our dining experience. Food: The menu showcases seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, offering dishes that celebrate classic flavors with a modern twist. A highlight of the dining experience was learning that AG Cuisine owns a working farm, with much of the produce coming directly from there. Additionally, the extensive selection of local wineries featured on the menu added a wonderful touch, highlighting the Niagara’s wineries. The food was fantastic, with each dish beautifully plated and bursting with creativity. Everyone in our party commented on the taste and presentation, and each dish was incredible. Overall Experience: AG Cuisine is highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of Niagara's culinary scene. The combination of incredible food, outstanding service, and a charming ambiance made our visit unforgettable. The staff's dedication to creating a wonderful dining experience was evident from start to finish, and we look forward to returning.
We were recommended here by our friend Ilya of Leaning Posts wines - thank you so much Amazing all around !! Erica and Mia - fantastic service We did the Bistro menu . Started with the sunchoke appetizer - incredible !! Hubby had the flank steak and I had the duck - both incredible Being that it was national ice cream day we had to share with the gelato for dessert delish A definite gem in Niagara !! We WILL be back !!
Food was really good. The filet was tender but not the best I've ever had. The service was the best part. The experience was worth maybe 1/2 the price. Headed back to America.
Genuinely a phenomenal food experience with great wine pairings. I did not like wine before coming here, but thought if I am going to enjoy wine, it’s going to be at a place that has pairings with delicious food. I am now a believer in wine paired with a meal. Our server was phenomenal in her explanation of why the wines work with our food orders and she even dived into how we can taste the difference of the wine before eating and after eating our meal. The food was next level and beyond delicious. One of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Beautiful restaurant! The duck is to die for. Excellent service as well. EDIT: One of my favourite restaurants! Ive been a few times now. Definitely try the venison! Recommended dishes House Made Gelato
Estupendous. Amazing atmosphere, service, and the food world class
Such an unexpected find! We absolutely loved food and service. Steak and trout were excellent and done to perfection
Wonderful food and staff, an absolute must when in Niagara Falls area
Everything was excellent!
Had an unforgettable experience at this cozy, farm-to-table gem in Niagara Falls. The intimate setting was perfect, and the live music created an amazing vibe that elevated the whole evening. The staff was warm and attentive, answering all the questions we had and making us feel welcome from the start. Each dish was exquisitely crafted, showcasing fresh and locally sourced ingredients that really made every bite exceptional. 10/10 - highly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable night out!
Great food. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
An artistic and decadent farm to table inspired restaurant. Loved the seasonal menu changes. Great for a date night or anniversary celebration
We ordered 5 dishes, 1 of which we both really liked, but found the others to be a bit bland compared to descriptions. Service was really great, although on what appeared to be a slow night, it took quite awhile for us to place our order, even for drinks. Enjoyed overall but we agreed some seasoning was missing in the food.
Food was ok. However my beef medallion was very small. Beet salad and chocolate mousse cake were good. Cocktail I had was very weak.
If you come to Niagra and want to have a delicious farm to table meal, you should really give this place a try. Our waitress Melanie was extremely knowledgeable of where the food was sourced and how it was prepared. The food and service were both exceptional. Highly recommended.
We were a party of 11 for dinner and the had the private chef s table-a perfect room to talk and eat. The server was patient and the food and drinks were great!
Not worth the money. Save your time and money. What a horrible experience . Way too much for what you get
The food here was outstanding! I really appreciate the vegetarian options as well - I hope this will be an ongoing thing on future menus! Our waitress Fallon was very attentive and cheerful. Had a great anniversary dinner here and cant wait to come back :) Update: came back multiple times and enjoyed it, however after dining last night I was sad to find out the menu has changed and the extra service is no longer offered (amuse-bouche, pallet cleansers between meals and at the end of the meal). This is something that made the restaurant stand out and added the perfect extra touch before.
We had our 43rd anniversary dinner here. Absolutely a very special experience. We were seated in a very private corner and they had placed flowers on our table. Our server congratulated us 1st, helped us pick a wine and recommend her favorite dishes. We followed her suggestions and had one of the best meals we had on a 3 week vacation. In addition we were given an envelope with a beautiful congratulation message. I felt like we got a bargain between the food, atmosphere, and service provided. A very very special experience. Thank you all for making us feel so special and a fantastic meal. Sandra and Lance Neale
We came on Sunday, 5:30 or so right after opening. No issues finding a table without reservation. A perfect time if you want no crowds. We skipped the main course and shared a couple of appetizers and drinks. All fresh and bursting with flavors. Well be back for main dish next time.
Food, service, selection and all reasonably priced. I wish it wasnt in the basement, but they make up for it with an effortless delivery and tasty food! Wine list is dominated by local selections and the server helps you through it all.
Food was not exceptional by any means. Flank Steak overcooked, served with a huge pile of French fries. Very underwhelming Certainly not worth the prices. Food
Excellent food
Unforgettable dining experience Thank you Chef Corry and Erika for great hospitality Strongly recommended Food : 5/5
Dinner at AG bistro. Steak and fries for $25. The steak was perfection!Cocktails, especially the beet infused gin, were fab. Amazing waitress. Great evening.
Excellent birthday dining experience, couldnt have asked for better.
Exquisite dinner, very well prepared drinks, I recommend it one hundred percent.
Best meal of my life. Complimentary green gazpacho shooter. 3 knowledgeable servers. Amazing duck and pino noir pairing. Not to be missed! ...And after 8 years... Went back a 2nd time in Sept 2024. Still stellar. Best restaurant in Niagara, possibly the province. Amazing two way lamb cooked perfectly, and a life changing lemon meringue dessert. They still have a perfect noise and ambience. The music is a constant changing soothing loop of cover songs of all your favourites. Decor is cool, and the service is amazing with a waiter per dish. Have a wine tour, then take the height of the vacation by booking after 5:30pm at this amazing place. Youll definitely be back next year.
Truly outstanding from start to finish. Loved it that the food is all locally sourced and the chefs creativity in his dishes is pure passion for cooking! Staff was also kind and such a pleasure to talk to. Each server was so genuinely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the cuisine and the restaurant. Made the experience for us extra special. Thank you!! I wish I had pictures to share but we dine unplugged. Highly recommend!!
We ordered from the new Bistro menu and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Food is amazing, drinks are done properly , quiet and nice . Very good for a date night .
Seems like this place is a tourist trap and I highly urge anyone to check other places. We were very excited to try this restaurant, and stayed at the Sterling to have a staycation. I made the reservation booking through the AG website directly for Sunday the 28th at 9:30. Just before arriving I googled the restaurant to see that it would be closing at the same time of our dinner reservation. Confused, I called the restaurant and spoke to Anthony who reassured that they allow reservations until close as well as a 15 minute grace period. When we arrived at the restaurant it was evident they were ready to close and not one person or server could be found. We awkwardly stood at the hostess desk for a few minutes before our presence was acknowledged. The waitress who approached us was beyond rude - eye rolls, sighs, and can I help you we re closed . I kindly made her aware that we had a reservation and that I also spoke to her coworker who reassured this to me. With another eye roll and protesting that isn t allowed and she would have to speak to him she walked away leaving us there in the dark for a few more minutes before we decided to walk out. Extremely disappointed and weird situation to say the least.
Really enjoyed the three-course meal here! Such a nice, upscale break from the craziness and flashing lights of the rest of Niagara. The staff and food were both excellent. Highly recommend.
We highly recommend. The food was delicious. Nice variety. Fresh farm to table experience. The staff professional. The restaurant was immaculate. Our only note would be the building this restaurant is in is located amongst a number of parking lots located behind hotels. The actual restaurant is in the basement (down stairs around corners)of its building. Not a normal street entrance.
Parking: Absolutely amazing food. My wife and I could not have been happier to go here! Food
Amazing food and service as always! Went there for our anniversary and son s birthday. Did not disappoint!
Delicious
Delicious and fresh farm to table dining! Every ingredient is perfectly paired for a beautiful presentation and delicious flavor profile!
Hidden gem! The food was amazing, the atmosphere romantic and our waitress Emily was very passionate and knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to explain every little detail. Perfect for couples for a special occasion, or for people who appreciate fine dining.
We found ourselves scrambling for a last-minute reservation after our original choice fell through. Luckily, online reviews led us to AG, a restaurant that turned out to be an absolute gem. Dont let the surrounding area fool you. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with live music adding a delightful touch. The menu, a fixed prix for CA$95, offered a unique selection of dishes you wont find anywhere else. Each course was a revelation. The beef carpaccio with its unexpected tapioca crisp was a textural and flavor explosion. The AG signature tenderloin was pure melt-in-your-mouth perfection, showcasing the quality of their ingredients. Beyond my own meal, I had to try bites of my companions selections. The lemon meringue was a delightful balance of tart and sweet, and the farmhouse cheese plate was a generous spread with accompaniments that elevated the flavors. Both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages were well-crafted and complemented the food beautifully. The price point reflects the exceptional quality, making AG an experience, not just a meal. Its definitely worth the splurge for a memorable occasion. But what truly sets AG apart is the service. Our server, Melissa, was a shining star. Her friendly and personable demeanor made us feel instantly welcome and added another layer of enjoyment to the evening. Overall, AG gets a resounding thumbs up. Its a hidden gem with an unforgettable atmosphere, unique and delicious food, and top-notch service. Well definitely be back!
Service is excellent and mains (lamb and steak) plus starters (mussels and salad) very good with dessert (ice cream sandwich and thousand layer strawberry) letdown for the two of us. Main reason I didnt rank 5 is the value for $100 per person fixed price, as at this price there should be at least five courses or drop the price to $70-80 per person. Very nice but more like a $250 meal with wine and tip instead of $360 for two
We had the $99 (CAD) experience. The food was good and our server was attentive. I had the carrot ginger soup, but I actually preferred my wifes sunchokes. For the main course, I had the venison while my wife had the surf and turf. She enjoyed it more than I enjoyed mine. Finally I had the chocolate espresso creme brulee and she had the ice cream. The creme brulee was good, but not spectacular. Worth trying, but I would study the menu more in advance and only go when it matched my tastes.
One of the best meals I have had in a long long time. Fine dining, fresh and so flavoursome with great service.
AMAZING
We went in 2023 to celebrate our engagement and came back this year to celebrate the anniversary. Staff were very friendly and helpful, Erica our waitress made very good recommendations and was very attentive to us. The food is amazing. The menu is seasonal and while similar to last year, had different variations and options. The farm to table aspect was a huge selling point to us. The ambiance of the restaurant is phenomenal. Great for a romantic dinner or a business meeting. If you go soon I recommended the sunchokes and baba ghanoush, birds which is a selection of poultry, and the crème brûlée. Sadly the surf and turf was a Valentine s Day special but if it s back next year I highly recommend.
Hands-down, my favourite restaurant in Niagara Falls. The servers are amazing! Food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced.
We tried this place due to the glowing reviews. Net net is most people have pedestrian taste, lol. The appetizers were excellent (squash bisque & salmon candy) and we were excited about a good start. Our mains were a major disappointment sadly. The leg of lamb was tough and flavourless (needed to be slow-cooked and paired with a much finer, ample sauce) and the branzino was puny and overcooked and, again, rather flavourless. Truly disappointing. The desserts were fine, but nothing to write much about. Overall, we found the food here to be unworthy of the high price and hype. The service was fine, albeit a bit perfunctory. It was a slow night with one server handling table and bar duties. Oh the wine list is predominantly from Ontario vineyards with a small smattering of international offerings (read: uninspired). This place simply does not command neither the high price nor high praise.
That might have been one of the best culinary experiences Ive ever had. Chef John has gone above and beyond with AG. The farm to table isnt a gimmick, its a demonstrated philosophy. Everything local, everything meticulously grown, prepared and presented. I really cant say enough. Its wasnt just dinner, it was an experience!
We had dinner here last week, I did not know what to expect and was completely blown away by the incredible menu, every dish we tried was amazing, can t wait to go back!
Every year at Christmas time, my wife and I travel to Niagara to have a romantic dinner experience at AG Inspired. The chef is incredibly talented. The menu always has a new variety of intriguing dishes. We love to pre-emptively read through the menu before our trip to AG. Once we get to the restaurant we are always given the highest form of service. The service staff is very attentive and incredibly engaging. The staff is very informative and always describes the dishes really well. It is hard to not order everything once the server has described the dish. Receiving the prepared dishes at our table is always exciting. They are always beautifully presented. The locally sourced ingredients are wonderfully inspiring. To top off the anticipation leading up to this point: the flavours and combinations of ingredients are immaculately delicious. The chef is brilliant and provides a wonderful evening for my wife and I.
Two people, no alcohol and we came in just under $350 for dinner. When we go out, my wife and I will typically go for the more expensive places, adds to our history of experiences. That said, for the price, I wouldve thought there would have been something interesting about the atmosphere or the menu. Very uninspiring, and unfortunately boring experience. Food options and what I ordered was boring as well as the general environment of the place. With slightly elevated food quality, I couldve had this same experience at any other mid-range franchise restaurant.
Ive been here a couple times now. Great service and an amazing price fixe menu. The ingredients come straight from the chefs farm and the menu changes often.
Will update review in detail, but for now? 5 stars across the board and would recommend to everyone and anyone. Amazing experience.
Our server Melanie was great and the food was incredible!
Amazing food and services. A must if you go to Niagara falls !
Great food and good customer services
From the music, to the atmosphere, you cant go wrong here. s all over the place, you wont be disappointed! Food : 5/5
Super good food made with local foods, its worth the detour
Fabulous food and service. The chilli citrus octopus was to die for. Beef tenderloin and pan fried branzino were absolutely delicious. Perfectly executed. It s a shame we live 2 hours from Niagara. I will remember this restaurant fondly!
Food was good all around. Very nice service and decor.
Absolutely amazing meal, atmosphere and service. The food was fresh and flavorful. Everything on the menu was thoughtful prepared. Definitely worth trying if you are in the area.
Really amazing food! Their 3 course meal is not small lol. Big entree, big main, we couldn t even breath lol And then desert amazing as well! Plz go!
The food was fantastic, we had what can only be described as an apple cider with some culinary magic done to it. This is a farm to table restaurant and the menu does change.
We have been coming here for the last 8 years and every time the Resturant does not disappoint. This time we brought our food scientist son who was extremely impressed with the Quailty and presentation. This is a must try.
Wenn amazing Valentines day experience. A beautiful menu, a perfect pairing of wine and a wonderful atmosphere. The live band was just loud enough to hear but not so loud as to down out our conversations.
This is my favourite restaurant in Niagara Falls. Delicious and perfectly done octopus, with a wonderful char. Smoked duck was brilliant. Great service, lovely atmosphere. Inside of my favourite hotel thank you for a memorable Valentine s dinner
The quality of food and service at this Niagara Falls restaurant is among the best you will find in Ontario. The menu changes but the quality is consistently high. Service is extremely professional and at tentative.Highly recommended for that special dinner.
Four stars only because the prices are insane. I understand that it s because everything is local but they must really be turning a profit. The food was delicious, drinks were okay. Our server seemed overworked since there was only 2 servers working in our section at least. The location is a bit strange but it s very close to Clifton Hill which is convenient.
Fantastic meal. Everything was beautiful as well as delicious. Attentive and friendly servers. Highly recommend!
What an absolutely fabulous restaurant + meal. We werent sure what to expect given its location in the basement of a small inn, but the atmosphere was welcoming and the space comfortable. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and made great wine recommendations. And of course, our meal was to die for! Each course was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and portions were surprisingly generous. We also tried their speciality cocktail made with beetroot gin, and even the non-drinker in our party greatly enjoyed her sip. We will absolutely visit again.
Nice little restaurant. We booked there before a Greg Frewin show since it s right next door. Great atmosphere and loved the idea of having a 99$ 3 course meal with options to choose from a menu (some high value items are an extra fee which is marked on the menu). The serving sizes were generous and we ended up taking some of it home . We were looking forward to trying the octopus but it wasn t on that night so I opted for the quinoa and my husband had the carpaccio and both were delicious. For main I took the branzino which was AMAZING. The seasoning and sauce was sooo good ! My husband took the tenderloin and Brie crust which was also a huge hit with him! ( we were at Ruth Chris the night before and the tenderloin was no where near as good as the one we had at AG!) The dessert was OMG - the chocolate hazelnut cheesecake was the best cheesecake I ve ever had in my life ! And I m a huge cheesecake fan and always choose this for dessert at restaurants. Would highly recommend for couples and business outings ! Note - the chocolate martini is also fantastic Parking: Parking was free with the dinner or free if you park at Greg Frewin theater next door if you have tickets for the show
Has and continues to be one of my absolute fave places to dine. Ambiance is wonderful, particularly at table 3 or 10. Will continue to sing this places praise to all my friends and family
Vegetarian options: Theres usually at least one vegetarian option Food
Amazing food
Very friendly service. Roasted beets and veal tongue was excellent. Sunchokes were very nice. Lamb was good but nothing special. Beef tenderloin was very good also but better. Desserts were nice also.
Fix price menu was worth the price. I ordered beef tenderloin medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Applie pie mille feuille was delicious. Parking: There is parking at the inn. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp
The food and service was wonderful! My Fiancée and me enjoyed every moment of the 3 course meal. The preparation of the food was refined and elevated. The soup was very fine and not grainy, the red deer succulent and tender, and dessert (pictured) not overly sweet or overdone. Would recommend for a night out with upscale dining in Niagara Falls.
Amazing gem which came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Walked in to live music at the front entrance area which was great. The ambiance and service was impeccable. The farm to table ingredients were fresh and tasty. My fiancee and I had a wonderful dinner experience and would definitely come back next time we are in Niagara!
Great selection and loved it!! Wonderful service!!
Amazing food and service! My hat off to the Chef and Staff! If your looking for a high quality clean meal and friendly staff youve found the place!
Food was phenomenal. Service was excellent. 3 course set menu 99/person. They made butter pasta for the kids. We had a private room and had a great time with friends and family. Beef Carpaccio is highly recommended!
This is my favorite meal on my trip to Niagara Falls. The food was spectacular. I ordered more than the 99 prixe fix meal because I wanted to try so many things and I m so glad that I did . I hope in the future that more people discover this hidden gem!
Food was phenomenal! They dont lie when they say its fresh from this morning. 10/10, will be our date spot permanently. Emily was also a wonderful server.
What an amazing dinner we had! It is a bit of a challenge to find quality food on the strip, and were happy to have the restaurant recommended. The server was knowledgeable and pleasant. We had a lovely Cab Franc wine from the region, which went well with all of our dishes.
Perfect place for a quiet romantic dinner. The food was amazing and the service was the best Ive ever had. We went or our first anniversary and couldnt have been more pleased with everything. Emily was very attentive and made sure we were all set without hovering or being overbearing. Without question we plan to go again if we come back to Niagara Falls.
Super nice restaurant in Niagara Falls. It was super cozy and chic. Melanie greeted us when we arrived and was behind the bar, she took great care of us. She was very professional but not too serious like some places. Made us feel welcome. Her and her coworker (almost like sisters) had a great vibe and made us laugh lots. Melanie was very knowledgeable with the drinks and knew the menu perfectly. The food was really really good. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Chapeau au chef! Great wine as well, generous with the portions and let us taste before choosing. Best service we ve had on our 5 week long trip so far. Highly recommend
Everything is amazing. Will return and recommend!
Fantastic food and service. Very impressive. I can t wait to come back.
Celebrated our engagement here and was given some extra drinks on the house. Arugula salad, beef carpaccio, chicken breast and lamb were all delicious. Gelato and strawberry shortcake delectable. Dietary restrictions: They accommodated for a severe seafood allergy.
Service was amazing and I dont want to take anything away from that! The appetizers and desserts were 10/10 Unfortunately the mains were underwhelming - We had the Lamb and the steak. Lamb was fairly tough and lacked a bit of flavor - steak also lacked some flavor The restaurant is located in a basement which is fine but it is too dark in there considering. Need to add some better lighting and maybe some more greenery or art to liven up the atmosphere. Was very dim and low energy Would definitely go back. Apps and desserts show they know what theyre doing
AG Inspired is a true farm to table restaurant. The vegetables are fresh and flavorful. The meats are great cuts and well prepared with interesting sauces. AG Inspired is a must visit for anyone who enjoys interesting, delicious food. The wine list primarily focuses on Canadian wines. Canadian wines are gaining quality, and are also worth exploring.
Absolutely amazing fine dining cuisine. Farm (their own) fresh to table. Temps were perfect .... literally EVERYTHING was perfect. Food was explained in detail by our waitress Melanie. She gave excellent service and made it a unique experience. We had the salmon and beef carpaccio for appetizers and they were both unique and delicious. Our main courses were the tenderloin and scallops and omg were they perfectly done and a unique mix of flavors. Definitely the strawberry shortcake and rosemary creme brulee were an excellent end to our meal. This is just an incredible menu and mix of flavors you wont regret trying.
What an amazing fine dining experience! Thank you Chef Varun , Server Mia and Melanie for everything! A unique menu and a great atmosphere! Recommend! Food
Great experience from beginning to end. Dont miss this great restaurant!
This meal was Beyond words. But I will try. Amazing service, calm atmosphere. Amazing bread and yummy cinnamon cider Aperitif. The food was killer. Ive never tasted anything so perfect (and Im a picky B) Last meal on earth stuff. I want to eat here nightly lol
My girlfriend and me had an amazing dinner here! The food were absolutely delicious and beautiful. The server Melanie was very knowledgeable and professional on her job! Will be back!
We had a terrific anniversary dinner at AG last week. We ate there 6 years ado and the food has improved! Every part of the Prix Fixe meal was delicious and well executed! Appetizers of lobster bisque and beet salad with house smoked veal tongue. Entrees we re braised Ontario lamb shank (Ontario has THE best lamb in the world!) and the entree was sausage stuffed saddle of rabbit wrapped in prosciutto. Both were amazing. The desserts and cocktails were also fantastic. As before, the service is impeccable and the room is intimate and has a glamorous private club atmosphere.
Best dining experience in Niagara bar none!!! The love and care the chef puts into his food is in every morsel. Ask to have Melanie, she is incredible.
An enjoyable dining experience. Most of their ingredients come from within 100km of the restaurant, and it presented in some more unique dishes, like their rabbit. The dinner was a three course, choose you own adventure tasting menu. My one critique is that the cocktail shakers are so loud that it kind of echoed through the dining room, but otherwise it was a fantastic experience!
Overall pretty mediocre. My partners choices were 9/10 but I was disappointed in what I had. Especially the gelato. It wasnt smooth and creamy. It was hard and had ice shards in it. I think they pre scoop the ice cream and keep it in the freezer. It doesnt taste fresh.
This restaurant is attached to the Sterling Inn and offers prix fixed farm-to-table meals only on their menu. Overall the food was fantastic and service attentive. Our Server Emily was the best, noticing something was off about my experience and insisting on replacing my over-salted fries without me asking. She also took time to ask us about our evening plans and offered us great suggestions, such as fireworks over the falls which we did not know about. Foodwise, the Lamb shank we had was incredible. Tender, succulent and essentially fall of the bone. This was the best dish of the night by far. Other dishes were good too, carrying a complex layering of flavour due to the variety of farm fresh ingredients they used. The AAA beef flank however was a disappointment and am deducting a star for that. Very chewy. Could not cut it with the regular knife and had to ask for a steak knife. Still very difficult to slice and eat. Because I was staying at the Sterling Inn, I was given a voucher for a free glass of wine from 5-6pm. It was a nice touch right before my 6pm reso. I enjoyed my meal here and would like to come back in the future. Thanks for a wonderful night
An incredible experience, well worth the money! We had a group of 9 and got a private room which was beautiful, not to mention the live music. The service was great with friendly staff and great bonuses, such as an amuse bouche before the meal and great bread for the table. The food was incredible, most of their food is straight from their very own farm. The appetizers in my opinion were the highlight of the night. The maple hot smoked salmon candy was easily the best, but followed closely by the heirloom tomato salad (it had incredible compressed watermelons). The entrees and deserts were quite good as well just not as amazing as the apps. Overall an incredible experience worth the roughly $150 total price tag. Vegetarian options: The appetizers have many vegetarian option, the only option for entrees is the cornmeal crusted tofu.
The fact that you can get someone to first take the time to grow the ingredients and then months later create and serve a delicate, well balanced, and most importantly super fresh, 3 course meal, in a lovely romantic setting AND play live music for your enjoyment.....all for under $99, in any economy is pretty incredible. Farm to table at its finest. Oh and I told my wife the zucchini was grown specifically for her upon my request months earlier. Thank you AG!
Absolutely incredible experience! Food was wonderful as was the service. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Will definitely be back!
Very nice discovery! Located in a hotel basement, the decor is very beautiful and the music is good. Impeccable service from our waitress and her team. The food was delicious, especially the filet mignon which was divine. A little pricey, but that seems to be the norm in Niagara Falls. We will definitely come back.
Ate in the bar from the bistro menu and the food was simply excellent. Service was friendly but almost non existent. Taking into account that this is by no means a fast food outlet , the waits for main course and desert, or even someone to notice us were still unacceptable in a bar/restaurant of this calibre. Neither restaurant or bar were busy so I have no idea what caused the issue.
Such a hidden gem and so glad we found this place! It was very welcome amongst all the chaos of the main part of town. Our waiter was fantastic, and very patient with questions. We enjoyed learning more about the restaurant s venture. The food was fresh and delicious - both the veggie and meat options. I particularly enjoyed sampling Canadian cheese!
The lost art of fine dining .. found at AG . Professional service.. inspired menu .. crafted cocktails if you re looking for an elevated experience in Niagara this is it !
Surprised to have been treated so poorly by such a highly rated restaurant, I ordered the steak with bri, I ordered it well, it came out rare but you couldn t tell by all the garnishing on the plate and the terrible lighting in the place. The server Erika at first was like really it s how you ordered it, I had to explain the difference between rare and well, I then waited 40 min for the replacement plate i was ready to send it back, but just felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave at that point, no manager came to see the table and nothing was done for the inconvenience, my party and I ate a different times and the experience was ruined. Will not recommend to anyone, much better places locally to visit with better service.
We could have eaten something country. We could have eaten something rock and roll. We could have eaten something smooth jazz. But no, AG Inspired played us a symphony with a 3 course meal and service that was a real treat for me and my wife . A little expensive but definitely worth every cent. You will not be disappointed! Thanks again to the chef for the GF options and thanks to your staff for a wonderful evening in Niagara falls, Canada
Fine dining , great ambience and flavors !
Very classy and romantic establishment. Lots of great drink options, and preset three course menu in an awesome experience! All ingredients locally sourced farm to table, and it was easy to tell. Amuse-bouche of warm apple cider was a fantastic start, and the hits kept coming from there. Maple hot smoked salmon candy was unique and delicious, as was autumn greens and quinoa salad - goat fondue was the highlight here. Lamb shank and birds entrees were outstanding - perfectly prepared and accompanied, the lamb melted off the bone while the birds were a fun trip and different options. Chocolate hazelnut cheesecake and dark chocolate espresso creme brûlée were the perfect way to conclude the meal, the cheesecake is an absolute must-try. The only thing about our experience that was not completely positive was the service - it seems like maybe they were understaffed, or oversat our waitress. She was definitely hustling around, taking care of at least four to five tables, if not six or seven at times, also helping with hostess duties and mixing drinks at the bar. I appreciated her proficiency at executing all of these tasks, but unfortunately she was stretched too thin, and we were often left wondering when she would finally get back to us. Other than this small service complaint, this restaurant is outstanding and definitely worth a visit if youre in Niagara and want to experience some fine dining.
Went here for a business dinner. Not my choice of food. A little bland for me. But the service was good. The presentation was good. Drinks made well and quickly. The restaurant is in the basement of a smaller hotel. Had the tenderloin, was like butta!
Stunning restaurant. I ate at the bar for their $25 special:an entree and a side. I chose the flank steak and fries. Just fantastic. The service was top notch. Highly recommend.
We were so very excited to be dining at AG! We are big time food lovers and enjoy cooking in the kitchen ourselves and we were very eager to try what reads and looks to be delicious. We were not let down at all. Food is Michelin Star level. Rich tasting, high quality foods and ingredients uniquely put together. We enjoyed every last bite. Portions were much bigger than anticipated, which was great. We left feeling very full. Compliments to the chef.. incredible! Our service however was . ok. It made the overall experience less enjoyable. The young lady who was bringing food out was great, formal and knew what she needed to. Our waitress Fallon though, seemed she really didn t know much about the food. When asked questions by ourselves, and we noticed others as well, she mostly just brushed them off with a short answer, or made up an answer on the spot, leaving the restaurant goer(s) uneducated. She was also very loud, could often hear her talking or laughing from across the restaurant. At one point the overhead music and performer were going at the same time.. nightmare!! The most upsetting part was when she came to our table saying he sucks, he s terrible, he s not that good when speaking about the musical guest. We had been very much enjoying him. She was telling us she didn t think he fit the vibe of the restaurant. We disagreed, he was playing well known songs and slowed them down to fit the mood. She also made a statement about how he had gone to the wrong place before hand and was late showing up to perform. This felt like she was just trying to embarrass him. But, most of all this entire conversation was not one that should have been had to guests! She was telling everyone to use her name in reviews to get shifts - tacky! We really enjoyed our food, which is what we were there for. But, we left a bummed because of our server we didn t slow down to truly take the food experience in for what it was worth because we wanted to get away from the horrible service.
Ive been wanting to try AG for over a decade, and the food did not disappoint. The 3 course menu was well crafted and the food was beautiful. The cocktails and desert were all lovely, and it certainly made for a great evening out. Its a beautiful place, nestled in the basement of an Inn, but I could not get past the flies in the dining room. I realize that we have to live with pests but Id rather not dine with them in that caliber of a restaurant.
This was supposedly fine dining experience with 3 course meals. It s located downstairs of a building with a cozy atmosphere with as many tables as it can fit Al close to each other. . It does give the fine dining feel, darkly lit and food are presented artistically in small portions and nothing special on taste. FINE dining. I left hungry. Bill for four was over $500. Will I do this again? no. End of story.
Out of this world food experience. This is a must stop if you are in the area and value great food experiences. The atmosphere is elevated, but welcoming. Service was great. Everyone was so nice and attentive. The food is to die for. It will be one of the best meals you ll ever have.
We were very excited to visit for dinner given the farm to table mantra. Unfortunately we found it a tad misleading as only the fruits and vegetables are farm to table, while most of the dishes has meat or fish. The meals were over complicated, with many elements that didn t necessarily work well. The lamb was under-seasoned. As well, at this price point, we had expected to not be in a basement.
Exceptional food and service.
Get food
Melanie was engaging and attentive. The food was great as usual. A great go-to for us.
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. It was perfect.
6 of us went out to AG on Saturday evening - we were first timers; however the others had only good things to say about the food, service and ambiance. I absolutely agree with them!! We waited at the bar while the rest of the party made their way in, had a drink and then was escorted to our table. First round drinks were amazing - the staff was so attentive upon entry and all the way to the end. We got the private room for our dinner. We could still hear the entertainment but we also had our privacy as well. Melanie was our server, bartender and friend throughout the night!! Her recommendations were on point! The food was so amazingly fresh - whether it was the meat, vegetables or fruit! Well done chef - can t speak enough about the food!! We left there very happy, satisfied and stuffed!! Unfortunately no pictures to post as everyone just dived into the apps, food and dessert as it arrived! Will def revisit and share this restaurant with others!!
I would say, this is the BEST restaurant I ve ever been to in Niagara Falls. It was so delicious that I even forgot to take the dessert picture.
Exceptional in every way. The food was elevated and extremely flavorful and our server, Fiona, was delightful. Highly recommend. By far the best food experience on our trip.
It was great! Soooo awesome!
Very disappointed in the food. All 3 courses were a disappointment, lack of salt and flavor in almost every bite. The cheese plate at the end was dried out and the risotto was hard with my chicken. The presentation and service was the only thing that was good. Music was way too loud by live singer that you could not hear the people talking at the table. Really sorry that i took my family here for their Xmas gift when we came out from BC
A 10/10 experience. We came here for my wifes birthday and the staff made sure to add a candle to her dessert. The ambience is romantic and inviting, the different combination of tastes in each course, the lovely staff are helpful and charming, and the executive chef is a true gentleman. We accidentally got our main course before our appetizers, which wasnt a big deal to us but the executive chef was really embarrassed that he complimented the entire meal! Honestly did not need to do that but we left a generous tip for the staff. I will definitely come back and told friends and family already to eat here next time they are in Niagara.
This is a hidden gem of a restaurant! High quality, high detail and beautifully platted dishes. Your all in one price meal will come with little surprises along the experience of the visit. The staff are exceptional at their craft. Steven(Stephen) is excellent! Please dont let location throw you off.
This was one of the finest meals Ive ever had. The food was divine, the attention to detail superb and the service was unsurpassed. It was very memorable to meet a chef and his team who are so truly inspired.
Outstanding service, delicious food and really appreciate the farm to table philosophy. Highly recommend!
AG is one of our better dinning experiences in the Niagara. We came to celebrate our anniversary. The ambience is wonderful, especially in the semicircular booths. The waitstaff were friendly. Every dish was delicious. Only issue we had was that they confused lattes with cappuccinos. Overall, it is a place we would not hesitate coming back to and recommending to friends/family.
The food was absolutely amazing here. The food was very fresh and flavorful. The staff were attentive and quick, and were eager to assist in any way. This restaurant is a gem in the area and a must-eat place for fine dining.
Excellent service and food was amazing! Would recommend and will return when in the Niagara area.
Every time I visit AG I am impressed. I would highly recommend to anyone. The atmosphere, food, staff, everything is always perfect.
We received a warm welcome from Fallon. She was the hostess, and our server for tonight. She is very knowledgeable about the food, and the process that goes behind it. I asked for her recommendation and chose everything she recommended. She explained each dish beautifully. I dont like the taste of liver, but Chef Varuns grandmothers liver pate recipe is sooo good! The accompaniments that came with it complimented the pate so well! The pate had a smooth texture and was not grainy like other pates. It also did not have that overwhelmingly liver aftertaste in my mouth. I also recommend the beef tenderloin, lamb with cous cous, and chocolate hazelnut cheesecake. Not only great service and hospitality from Fallon but from Chef Varun as well. He took the time to come to our table and talk to us. Overall great experience! Thank you so much!
Weve been to Ag Cuisine a few times while staying at the Sterling Inn & Spa and theyve never disappointed. The dining experience changes seasonally and we love that they have their own farm and keep things local including the wines and beer. I dont do pate ever but thought why not as the ingredients were too good to pass up. Yum to the fig jelly and the chicken pate was delicious on its own! Service was great, we had Falon as our server and she didnt hold back on hospitality. The chocolate bday shots to finish off dinner was perfect. I love coming here and always tell everyone that if they havent dined here while in Niagara, theyre missing out. Cant wait to come back soon.
Loved it. I work in fine dining and I definitely appreciated all the work that went into the meal - the dishes were all inspired, presented beautifully and cooked deliciously. (with a slight exception on the carrpachio, it could use some seasoning)
Amazing service, great and vast 3-course dinner.
Without a doubt the best dinner experience in Niagara.
The best Chimichurri Steak ever! Absolutely loved the vibe and ambiance of this restaurant. Their wine offerings are extensive and very impressive. The food was exceptionally fresh and seasonal. Farm-to-table freshness. The staff were great and very knowledgeable. I visited this restaurant with a friend but the overall vibe is very upscale and romantic and would be perfect for a date night. The location is great with lots of parking. I will visit once I m in the Falls again.
Must go, definitely an experience much well worth than any of the cheesy expensive places around.
My husband and and I were looking forward to our dining experience at AG Inspired Cuisine. We came from out of town so stayed in the hotel attached -Sterling Inn and Spa. Unfortunately, our entrees were not worthy of the reviews I read prior. My husband had the tenderloin which is their signature dish. He asked for pink not red - the steak came out completely grey all the way through. I had the salmon and I shared that I don t like salmon to underdone where it is translucent. Wish I had not mentioned that because it came out very well done and dry. The service, however, was great. Stefan was friendly and attentive. Excellent!! Also, the crème brûlée was one of the best I ve had! All in all the poor execution of our entrees spoiled the evening and we left feeling disappointed with the dining experience .
A great place for delicious, locally sourced food. Well worth it.
Everything was delicious, and friendly, attentive service as well.
Second time coming here, and the food and the staff are amazing and super friendly. I love it eveytime.
We had a great experience here during our little getaway. Its in a fine dining setting and the service was also very good. The food was very creative in using alot of local ingredients with lots of flavour. Highly recommend if you looking for a nice date and will definitely return next time we come back to visit. Its located in the basement of a hotel so its a little strange when you enter building but once inside the atmosphere is quite romantic.
This place is so good. The food is definitely 5 star and our server, Fallen, was one of the best servers Ive ever had.
Outstanding. I was going to eat at Mortons steakhouse but left due to poor service and ended up here. Food was simply magnificent.
Very lovely place for a quality dinner. Super amazing service. food taste amazing. I had the set course meal. Amazing flavors.
Fantastic restaurant! Service was attentive and the food was outstanding! Don t let the (lack of) curb side appeal turn you off - as we entered the building, walked down the hallway, then turned to go downstairs, my wife actually asked me WHERE are you taking me?!? But once you enter the restaurant it s a very nice space with superb farm-to-table fare. We ve been many places where we loved the food, but could always pick a favourite from each course; not here! Absolutely everything was delicious, wish I d taken a few pictures. Considering all the chain restaurants flashing neon signs all through trash-Vegas this place is an oasis of fine food and wine!
Fantastic!!!
One of the best dining experiences Ive ever had in my entire life. The menu is different, exquisite fun and absolutely delicious. The chef definitely has put together a perfectly prefix menu to choose from the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff was accommodating. From the outside it may not look as good as it is on the inside trust me its at the bottom of a hotel or in the basement of a hotel I should say there is plenty of parking which is great If youre looking to go out afterwards its right in the heart of Niagara so you can leave your car in the lot and go walk around. The food was absolutely delicious The corn veloute the filet mignon with the Brie the salmon and the best absolute the best Rosemary honey crème brûlée Ive ever had in my life. Parking: Lot
Overall a wonderful experience and will return. Waitress really elevated the experience. Makes me wonder what I tip for at other places, as the service here is undescribable. Really good food
By far our best restaurant experience of our trip to Niagara Falls. We all know everything is overpriced here, but I will say that even with the steep price, this feels worth it at least. If you dont mind a bill of 250$+ for 2 people (more or less depending on drinks ), this is a no brainer.
The food and service was absolutely phenomenal! I am celiac and I never get bread and butter with dinner and I was given 2 biscuits and butter...AMAZING. Our amuse-bouche was a unbelievable. Anyone who adores food should come here. Your tastebuds will embark on an excellent adventure :-)
So we stayed at the Sterling Inn and had dinner at AG. What an amazing experience from the wait staff to the chef it was all top drawer. I had food I would never normally try but did anyways and I am so glad I did. Locally grown is the way to go. This restaurant deserves a Michelin Star
Awesome foid n service
Unreal food! Would highly recommend the venison, and my boyfriend would highly recommend the dry rib! Will definitely come back here! Also the chocolate hazelnut cake.. phenomenal. Perfect dinner to complete an amazing weekend!
My husband and I had an excellent experience at the restaurant we celebrated 14 years wedding anniversary
We loved this place! The atmosphere is very nice and the service very friendly. It s a great place to celebrate something like an anniversary (like we did). It s both fancy but not so fancy as to feel uncomfortable if you are not into that sort of thing. We were welcomed warmly and had any questions we had answered with a smile. We loved everything we ate, and I definitely recommend wine pairings for your courses. The food is hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked and seasoned. This was one of the best meals we have both had in a long time! We will definitely have this restaurant as an option next time we come to Niagara. It is worth the price 100%.
Really excellent menu. Well prepared. Local wines available so not BYOB. Pricey.
The food was fantastic, they made adjustments to my meal to make it wheat and dairy free.
A great discovery for us! Went for a winemakers dinner & the food was amazing!
FANTASTIC!
Fantastic atmosphere. Food was above our expectations.
One of the best restaurants in Ontario! We came here on our honeymoon and our 1 year anniversary. This place takes food to the next level. Farm to table foods of a great variety and very accommodating to allergies for my wife, especially with the bread & dessert! If you are ever in Niagara this is a must try!
this place is inside a hotel. food was AMAZING! they only offer set dinner menu or you can choose bar area for less expensive meal
This place is our favorite place to eat. Amazing food, friendly staff. I am not one to try new things but I always try my boyfriends food and everything is amazing.
Parking: Very elegant. Great vibe Food
Absolutely divine! My guests had been there before but it was my first time. Exceeded my expectations. You must try this restaurant
The food was amazing. Worth every penny. Had the octopus for an app and the deer for dinner and everything was on point. Would of been cheaper without the adult beverages but wasnt going to cheap out ok this one. My wife had the soup and lamb and was just as good. Highly recommend coming to this place is you want something not touristy.
AG Cuisine in Niagara Falls is a farm to table fine dining. It offers 3 course prix fix menus. We picked green salad and grill octopus for our starters. Although both appetizers are very common in most restaurants, but AG took it to another level, both in presentation and taste. However, I will love it even more if the salad has bit more dressing. Main course we ordered pan fry brazino and filet mignon steak ($5 more). The fish with the seafood risotto is definitely has a WOW factor! The steak is cook to perfection, we want medium rare and it is medium rare. Steak is juicy and tender, better than some well known expensive steakhouse in Toronto. Finally we put millie and chocolate cheesecake for dessert. Both are very popular, and you can never go wrong with any of the two. It is too far to travel down to Falls to dinner, but if you are there, make sure spend a night at that restaurant.
The BEST meal weve ever had. The atmosphere, staff, food and drinks are as good as it gets. Melanie was our server and treated us well. Thank you!
I had the duck confit my partner had the beef tenderloin. The food was cooked exceptionally. Staff were amazing. Sadly the meat be the only portion of our meal. The chocolate ice was a delicious dessert. I would have expected our four course arrangement would have been more balanced. My main had a side of vegetables which included three or four beans and one of the vegetable. Their meals and courses should be more balanced. If your main is going to include basically only meet, they should have more vegetable only entrees. We visit haute cuisine restaurants rather regularly. We found The only major problem though was that they didnt offer enough vegetables. Balance is key.
Highly overpriced and my friends dinner had hair in it! They refused to give her any sort of compensation
Came here last weekend. Food is nothing special. I did get a special surprised when I pulled out a very long blonde hair I found in my tenderloin steak main course. When I got my bill, you would think they would somehow compensate for the lack of quality of the food I got. I paid an extra $10 on top of the $78 bill for trying their tenderloin but even that they couldnt careless. Brownie dessert is something I can get at a grocery store. Anyways, never coming back.
Celebrated a 50th birthday here and everyone could not stop raving about the food, it was that good. The service just as good. Excellent cocktails, appetizers, entires and dessert! Looking forward to coming back for another fantastic meal!
I was very excited to give these guys another try. I initially went in there and had their tasting menu which was not impressive to say the least. Last night i stayed at the hotel and was offered a bistro package for two. We got the AG burger and venison Bolognese. My burger was dry and tasted terrible my dog would be very happy to have it when i get home that in itself sets a statement. The Bolognese was not paired well with the pasta and rapini was bitter so that did not sit well with us. We also bought the pate which was ok but not mind blowing the chef should rethink the way he constructs his dishes. Not fine dining at all
I don t know how this place doesn t have a perfect 5 star rating! The food, service and experience were top notch. For a fine dining restaurant 3 course prefixed meal, we were very impressed with the portion sizes. Sometimes you go to these places and the portions are small. Not here. Not only did we have unique local food, but we were stuffed by the end. Mel, our server, was outstanding. They made excellent suggestions and even had us try things that we had never tried before, which we ended up loving! By the way, go try the chicken pâté! 5 stars ++++ Go support an amazing farm to table restaurant, it s well worth the experience!
Service: 9/10 Presentation: 7/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Food: 1/10 To explain the low rating for the food, even though the presentation and service was great, the food was very under seasoned and esp the beef. Not only did it taste like it had been boiled for 2 hours, it did not taste like much. There was the bone marrow dish that was pretty good actually, but the overall experience did not go too well because of the food taste.
This was hands down one of the best meals I ve ever had ! Incredible attention to detail and cooked to perfection! Our waitress Fallon was an absolute sweetheart! I highly recommend!
A little... Underwhelming We ate with them last night and to be honest I was expecting more from all the hype. There was no nicest table in the house as it is in a basement, but they hide that somewhat with nice decor. It was a little bit loud for what I would consider fine dining which I believe they consider themselves. I actually had to get up and request doors be closed on a private party. The waiter and server were both wonderful and knowledgeable. We started with the bone marrow and a beat salad. Both were delicious and done just right. Drinks were whiskey (Glenfidich 12 or15 i cant recall) and a comso, both very nice Next was the red deer and artic char. Presentation on the char was lacking, but the taste was there. The red deer was over cooked at the medium and was more like a medium-well... the meat lacked any juices and the tenderness was almost gone. I think they relied on the sauce to hide that. Drinks were whiskey (Glelievit 12 and a splash of a 16 I cant recall the name of.. it was less than an ounce and was on the house because of that, both nice) and sparkling water. Dessert was the brownie and hazelnut cheesecake. The brownie was ... a brownie. Who doesnt love one of them. The cheesecake however was exceptional. Smooth as silk and just rich enough to pay all the bills. Drinks were the espresso cocktail and maple whiskey. Both were tasty and fun. As a birthday surprise, they brought a little chocolate shot and almond cookie out after we were done. A nice touch. Biggest issues were noise, over done meat basic brownie and the waiter didnt say tank you for his tip which was more than 20%. That irked me. All in all, I would equate it to something you do once and carry on happy. Nothing screamed come back again, but Im glad we went.
It was okay. The atmosphere was nice.
The food and service was amazing! The cheesecake at the end was the best we ever had. Will be back!
