5810 Stanley Ave, Niagara Falls, ON L2G 3X8, Canada
Locally owned and family run for 35 years, our food is served straight from the girl to your table .
I like the place is not crowded therefore did not have to wait long for food. They have maintained good hygiene and have great customer service. Food is good as usual breakfast one star less bcoz it went cold quick but I 👍 recommend everyone to go there.
Lovely! Fluffy pancakes were great but also the conversations with your staff. Thank you for a welcoming and warm start into our day. People: come here!
Enjoyed a lovely Monday morning breakfast with my kids there. Traditional decoration and clean environment. Country music played in the background. Pancakes are good. Love to seat in such a comfortable environment to start a good day without too much noise. Will go again when visiting Niagara fall next time.
Our shuttle driver recommended the Continental Pancake House for breakfast. Were happy we made the decision to visit. We ordered French toast with strawberries and a western omelette. The food was served quickly and was hot.I really liked when I ordered coffee it was served in a carafe, which kept the coffee nice and hot.
Such a great experience! The food was delicious. The waitress was kind and helpful. Eggs benedict, breakfast poutine and a side of bacon.
We were looking for a family mom and pop restaurant and this did not disappoint. The food was great, the service was great. It was also walking distance from our hotel . A plus !
Sadly, the ketchup was the tastest park of either of our luke warm breakfasts. The kitchen was very slow at delivering plates when the dining room was at less than hald capacity. The food was very bland and unseasoned, except for the salt lick they called Canadian Bacon. The home fries were hard and tasteless. I ordered eggs over medium, and the yolks were completely solid. (Um, that is over hard) The toast was actually not even crunchy, just stale and tough to chew. Seriously, the ketchup was the tastiest thing either of us had. Now, as for the staff, the host was short and very unwelcoming as he led us to our table. They only bright spot of our experience was our server, as she was polite and very friendly in an otherwise forgettable dining experience. I am sad to admit I wasted most of my breakfast, as it was that unpalletable and chewy. This is bad, considering it was nearly CA-$45
$. Recommended for those looking for a cheaper local diner style experience. Free parking in the back. From a tourist viewpoint this family owned restaurant was a nice find compared to the chains in the area. From eggs and pancake classics to breakfast poutine (which was amazing) to their world famous panweech (a bigger McGriddle) there's a little taste for all who visit. While you wont find the food exceptional (and some could consider it bland) you will find something for everyone at a decent price. The service was cheerful and attentive and the coffee was good too. Tourist tip, try the breakfast poutine.
I came here today 14 December 2024, to get my wife a crepe with some vegetables and spinach. The waitress called Monica made me feel like less human. I came in greeted her politely. Her response was extremely unfriendly. I explained that I have always come here and even though, they dont have exactly what is on the menu, the chef has always helped put something together. She was immediately rude to me. She said I am the manager and I have never seen you. You are in the wrong place, you need to go there, pointing to another pancake place. I told her politely that I was sorry, I do know exactly where I was. She said very rudely, I cant help you and nobody here can because I am the manager. I said sorry I have always come here. May I please talk to somebody else. She said no you cant . I saw a respectable lady seated in the owners corner . There was another man standing next to her. I suspect he is the chef. I said could I please talk to the lady or the young man. She shouted at me, shouted no! Then I tried to get the attention of the lady. This manager, Monica shouted at me. Dont move! I started to shake. I said please ask the respectable lady seating there to talk to me. Monica shouted again, I said dont move. You have the wrong place, leave now. You need to go to the other pancake shop. At this point, the older respectable lady came closer. I explained my ordeal. She called over the chef who said, yes thats easy, I can put something together for you. By this time, my hands and legs were shaken. I have never experienced anything like this. The older lady said the place belonged to her son who is away in California on holiday. I told her that even if I had gone to the wrong shop, Monica should have tried to accommodate me. She was telling me to leave the shop and go spend my money at another pancake shop. I told the older lady that I felt harassed by the way Monika had treated me. I told her that as a doctor if I did not know where I was supposed to be, then there was a problem. To be honest, I only received a more polite response only after they heard that I was a doctor. By the time the ordeal was over, I was in tears. Why was I treated this way! I could not see any reasons. I had always come here and the 2 attendants that I had constantly interacted with were pleasant and polite. However, today, I was meant to be made out as if I was a criminal. I felt if the older lady did not come to my rescue, I believed Monika would have pressed some panic button to alert the Police whilst I am just a law abiding medical doctor, contributing my share to uplift mankind. Again, why was I treated this way. I believe Monica reacted to me negatively because of the color of my skin as a black African. I am still sitting in my car trying to stop the tears and humiliation that I just suffered. This is 1:12pm. I walked into that shop around 12 mid day. I just want members of the public to be aware of my experience at continental pancake house today, Saturday. I came in happy, pleasant and polite. I left with dignity, respect and everything that made me myself, shattered by prejudice and inherent racism. I hope no one of any skin color gets treated in this
Save your money! Go to McDonalds.
Food and coffee were yummy and our server Monique was so nice and welcoming.
Food was mid, nothing to rave about, but service was friendly and nice. Food
Incredible service kind and quick! Our server even warmed our coffee cups! Good portions, not too big, and food was delicious! Can t recommend enough!
Not worth your time. Average tasting food. Pan cakes were dry. Longer wait times and bad service. We finished the entire meal and waited for the kids chocolate milk. Reminded 2-3 different staff members. Worst experience.
Wish I could give a zero star. Pancakes were not fluffy, were too dense and heavy, all other ordered items were not tasty either. Service is pathetic had to walk up from the table mid meal to go ask for the whipped cream which was supposed to have been on my order. Asked for chocolate milk 4-5 times eventually asked for a take out which also did not arrive.
A very calm and relaxing environment with very good fresh made meals. The bacon is crispy and filled with flavour. French toast is on point and the breakfast poutine isnt highly recommended. Friendly staff. Good pricing.
Excellent food, the crepes are the best! Good portions for the price, bottomless coffee too. The pancakes looked really good. Food
Let me start by saying we love Pancake House. Although my partners eggs were excellent and I loved my turkey sausage, my pancakes were a little dry. Maybe a bit overdone. Its not likely to happen again but the service was excellent and the waitresses, Katie and Monique, were lovely and friendly so I do not hesitate in recommending this place for anyone staying in Niagara.
Cute family owned spot. Loved their food.
It s a nice place for a breakfast, but if you re looking for a budget-friendly place, you might want to explore other options.
Great place for a quiet breakfast! The service is very friendly and the typical Canadian atmosphere is super welcoming!
Worst breakfast Ive had in a long time. Had 2 eggs, 2 sausages, and 3 pancakes. Pancakes were hard like they were pre-made the day before. The sausage was horrible. Also made the day before. The eggs were done as I ordered, but thats it. Prices were also high for what I got. $20.00 CAD, not including coffee. Never again....
Made two trips out of this, first and last! Don t waste your money. Took a little long to get our food, came out warm, toast was very lightly toasted (bread with grill marks) after asking for more toast which also took a while. Meal was eventually cold and toast wasn t much more toasted than before. Was informed by a fill in manager that didn t really work there that a cook had quit that morning, so they were understaffed. Still doesn t explain why it came cold. I have never been disappointed after a breakfast until now! Almacs is next door!
WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR YOUR MONEY. Service is horrible, food quality does not match the price. Owner is extremely arrogant and rude. The worst establishment I have ever been to in Niagara.. literally deserves zero stars. They don t even serve you water and you have to ask for any condiments. $50 bucks down the drain. I d recommend going next door to AlMac s Buffet.
We had a great breakfast and the waitress was very kind and friendly.
Amazing and huge pancakes for breakfast, the perfect place to start the day. Besides, service was outstanding. Thanks
Disgusting, too expensive, all extra and unclear
The best
This place is great! Easily the best breakfast we had in Niagara Falls. It was the classic small town breakfast experience which is great since everything else there seemed to be a chain or too fancy to take fussy kids to.
our breakfast was fresh and delicious, the service was excellent & stuff was very friendly:)
A very welcoming place, very friendly staff and the food was fantastic! The manager Sandro is a very nice man. I really enjoyed the food, and the wait was not long at all. I highly recommend this spot.
Best breakfast place in Niagara falls.
You will pass to glory waiting in your food. Don t do it. Just don t.
Restaurant was not clean, service was subpar, food was not hot at all and the milkshakes taste as if they added strawberry syrup to milk and blended for effect. I had high expectations based on other reviews. Sad to say, I was highly disappointed
We stopped in Niagara Falls (Ontario) for Labor Day weekend. It was quite busy, and found ourselves at the Continental Pancake House for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The food was great, the service was equally as good. We had eggs and pancakes with bacon and toast. Ella was our server, she was on top of everything, even though it was packed. She was polite, funny, and attentive! This is a decent breakfast place, not fancy at all, adults and kids can feel welcome in this casual dining restaurant. It kind of reminded me of Perkins. We would definitely eat there again. And hopefully, well have Ella as our server as well
Were visiting from Utah in the US, and decided to pop in for breakfast. The food is good, and the service was excellent. Lorraine is very friendly and helpful. She gave us some good pointers about where to exchange money, and other good places to do things. We recommend. Parking: Tons of parking available.
Good and simple breakfast. Food came out quickly and not too expensive. Coffee was really goodnas well.
Today, my husband and I visited a restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, we found a hair in his scrambled eggs. We informed the waitress, who apologized and replaced the meal. However, no one else, including the manager, acknowledged the incident. When we were ready to leave, the waitress brought the bill without offering any discount for the inconvenience. We felt the food wasnt worth the price even without the hair incident.
We made this our breakfast choice over the big chain or the all you can eat next door. A sunny comfortable booth with friendly servers. An extensive menu maybe a little short on fruit options. The breakfast poutine was a tasty innovative way to serve bacon, eggs and home fries. Delicious and large serving. Only the coffee didn t meet my expectations. I think they could up the flavour and the size a bit. Recommend for a good breakfast experience.
Food was good but we got it about 35 minutes after we ordered, and there was only one other table seated in front of us. Wouldnt come here again the wait is a deal breaker From the reviews I can see theyre still slow, so not sure if it was a covid thing I guess.
So much choice, great taste for my breakfast poutin. Great service. I will return.
We had steak and eggs and stuffed french toast. I asked for steak well done. The texture was great: not chewy like some breakfast steaks. It was also nicely spiced and didnt need any extra seasoning. The stuffed french toast was excellent: sweet but not too sweet. The right amount of cream and bananas. The service was quick: took us 15 minutes to get the food and they kept checking every 5-10 minutes.
staffs nice but food is below par, took an hour, made it wrong, and then you need to put your arm outside the stall every 10 seconds to keep the light on in the bathroom.
Went with my family it was my first time. Very friendly and prompt. The food was great. The coffee though by far has to be the best coffee I ve ever had. If they offered take home I would definitely love to take some home it was so good. Had 3 cups before my food showed up and only took like 10min for food while it was busy breakfast service. Definitely going back next time I m in the city.
Perfect classic breakfast spot! Great for families. Service was wonderful. Lots of variety on the menu. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Very clean. Coffee was good. Seating was comfortable and brightly lit. All around, the perfect spot! Kid-friendliness: They have chocolate chip pancakes which were a big hit!
5 stars all the way. Food was GREAT, service was awesome. Price was excellent. Locally owned & opperated.
Average breakfast, wasnt that impressed but its ok
Too much expensif !!!! I paied 110$ for things like omelette coffee .. and we where 2 adultes and 2 kids Avoid. Food
Very generous breakfast for a family, fast and pleasant service, very immersive, $100 for 4 including tax
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Omelette Food
the best breakfast location you can go to, thank you Food
Friendly people, tasty breakfast food
No straws, no cups to go. Over priced food . Go to IHOP
Excellent Parking: Parking in back. Enough spaces for restaurant capacity. Food : 5/5 |
We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. What we enjoyed most was the service by the waitress and help with the parking permit for Over The Falls Tours by the restaurants owner.
A friend and I motorcycled from Detroit to Niagara Falls. We stopped for breakfast at Continental. We were met by a friendly staff, a clean restaurant, and quick service. The omellettes were tasty, the home fries crispy, everything served piping hot, and the portions were generous. Everything a weary traveller could want! The owner, Sander (forgive me if I spelled your name wrong, Sir!) made accomodations for us to park our motorcycles all day, then volunteered to lock our helmets/belongings in secure storage so we didnt have to carry them around! His kindness is reflected int he business he runs. My wife and I are planning a trip to the Falls in a few weeks, and breakfast will be at Continental!
This was by far the WORST breakfast I and my significant other have ever had. The sausage was undercooked, the bacon was so hard I was genuinely worried that I would break my teeth (couldnt even finish a whole piece). No butter on your toast, cost too much to add another egg to an already small plate. Afterwards, the server proceeded to stare at the machine to see what her tip was going to be which was so violently uncomfortable for my family. Did I mention it came to $50+ CAD for a singular breakfast that my honey and I shared? Thank God Im American and it only cost me like $30. Wasnt worth even that much or the gas money it cost to make the 2 minute drive it to the restaurant. Id rather eat gas station food by far and next time Ill definitely remember that.
Horrible service and when my wife order got screwed up they didnt want to compensate us.
Horrible experience for me and my family today. The food was bland. Frozen potatoes, over cooked bacon, even the coffee came to the table not hot. The server messed up my omelet order. When I Complained of how horrible the food was the owner/ hostess spoke to me like a child. Very disrespectful. It also felt racist. Stay away from this place!
Very weird experience. i think that maybe the waiter was new, but he didnt seem to know the menu or what was available. this led to a critical mistake with my sisters order. we simply asked for the omelette to be removed from the tab since it was nowhere near what we ordered. they also charged us for cheese that we never asked for. the very condescending owner of the business came over and told us since she ate some of her omelette, they cant remove them, as if we were supposed to know the wrong omelette was brought to us before eating some. overall, we were treated as if they thought we were going to run off on the bill or if we couldnt afford it, but reality is that he should have held his employees accountable for a mistake. this could have been a completely different review.
This was a lovely place to start the day. Staff was friendly and food was nice. I tried the fried chicken sandwich. Only issue, and this is super nitpicking but I know itll bother some people more, but the light in the mens room turns off way too quickly by itself. Hope that can be adjusted.
The best breakfast in Niagara Falls. Staff was very friendly and food was delicious. Ella recommended the #1 which had pancakes, eggs and bacon. It was definitely worth it! Will be back next summer.
Had an amazing experience here. Ella and Sabrina made me feel so welcome as soon as I stepped in the restaurant. They gave amazing menu recommendations and were there to answer all of my questions . Thank you so much for everything I will definitely come back.
Great food and service really enjoyed the number 2 it was really good Sabrina and Ella were great servers.
Amazing staff and food!
A must-visit address for your breakfast Top notch staff, willing, helpful and friendly I recommend
Came in Saturday 945am. Was told to wait 5 min. Then they offered to let us sit and have drinks but food would be a 20 min wait. Fine. All food came out hot and at same time. 2 omelets very bland and the bacon and cheese they cooked the bacon in the omelete, so it was raw and rubbery. Finishing up and they rushed us out after we had waited quite a bit and the place was 75% full. All meals were $19 which is high even for this tourist area. The cheapest was pancakes for $13. After spending $100 on 4 breakfasts that were quite bland, I let an 18% post tax tip. Checked my account and someone added $10 to my bill after I had paid. Giving them a $30 tip. Very unhappy. Disputing the charge. Avoid this place. Cippys next door is a hole in the wall with $8 omelets.
Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast! Very clean restaurant. Definately worth a visit. Highly recommend this place!
Do not waste your money at this establishment. Extremely expensive for the awful food served. We waited over an hour to get our food, and 2 other tables who sat 20 minutes after us were both served well before we were. The excuse from the server was it must be the omelettes we ordered, even though those other 2 tables also had omelettes. Our son had the pancakes, they tasted stale and were hard to cut .not sure how you mess up pancakes. The table next to us also complained about the pancakes. The omelettes were not great, the eggs tasted old. Also if you don t like plain toast, don t eat here, they don t serve peanut butter or jam, just marmalade yuck who even uses marmalade. After all that they brought the bill, full price and no offer of a discount. $70 for 1 kids meal and 2 omelettes. The staff member could not offer us any sort of discount and the manager just smiled and laughed when our server went back with the payment for our bill. This place was a joke and I would never step foot in the establishment. To top it all off, my son had diarrhea within 30 minutes of eating we had to rush back to our hotel. Stay away!!
My family and I showed up here today unexpectedly with a fairly large group. We were greeted promptly by at least 3 people as the restaurant was quite busy. Without hesitation, the friendly, accommodating staff suggested an area we could sit in and be fairly close to each other. Within 2 minutes, coffee was at our table and our order was being taken. Our party of 11 thoroughly enjoyed (and were very full by the way) the delicious food and the extremely friendly service. The atmosphere was warm, comfortable , and the washrooms were spotless! Shout out to the management and staff at this amazing breakfast place who ensured we got a great start to our busy day in Niagara Falls. If you are looking for a quick, affordable, delicious breakfast served with a smile , then visit The Continental Pancake restaurant. You won t be sorry !
Waffle was delicious. Bacon could ve been a little better. Service was great. I like how they designed the building.
We ate here while on vacation to Niagara Falls and found it by chance when driving by. Food was better than all the other breakfast places we tried and the people were kind.
Veggie eggs Benedict is fantastic! Home fries crispy, not greasy. Service was excellent! Definitely recommend this for breakfast. Vegetarian options: veggie Eggs Benedict is wonderful! Lots of spinach and tasty tomato with perfect amount of sauce. Highly recommend!
Food tasted weird, eggs benny and breakfast poutine both, server was nice, host was very unfriendly, food was slow getting out, really disappointing overall
Definitely my worst service experience I have ever had. I believe this was a first for walking out because of no service. Gentlemen maid us wait 10 minutes before Acknowledging us to be seated. Then seated us and didnt even ask if we wanted coffee. Waited another 10 minutes and decided to go elsewhere. It wasnt busy and had alot of empty seats.
Long story short: NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Average tasting food with insanely long food and service wait times. Lastly, its giving -10000 aura. Longer review: We arrived at 10 am. As a family of 8 people, after 5 minutes, we got seated down. I think the bad experience was mainly due to having a bad server. She, as a server, was extremely slow with just bringing out regular cups of water. My family and I waited so long for her to come back to take our order to the point that we either wanted to leave the restaurant or just get a better server. I dont remember when she finally took our order, but I remember that we finally got our food by 11:20 am. Also, heres more context to this story. This was a Sunday morning, and the restaurant was only half full. I would understand that the server would be much slower if the restaurant and kitchen was full to the brim. These wait times for both the food and service were just unacceptable. Whenever I come to Niagara Falls, I always leave a bad review for a restaurant, and I guess I will refrain from eating restaurants that arent at least 4 stars. Lastly, I got a chicken sandwich, and the three pieces of chicken were super dry and tough to eat, most definitely overcooked. Even though the food was average, this restaurant is not worth your time. If this review doesnt convince you and you got a different experience, then youre lucky.
We had a wonderful brunch here with our waitress Maria. It s really a cute place to eat if you like a dinner vibe. Thank you!
Be ready to pay for parking; this is wild. I have never paid for a spot where I ordered a meal.
Eerily quiet, despite being mostly full - it turns out everyone is holding conversation to flag down wait staff. Food was slow, freezer burned, overpriced, and under seasoned. Coffee was almost coffee, but arrived at a glacial pace in a cute little carafe holding less than 3 cups. I appreciate they were training new staff, but a Saturday morning may not be the best time to onboard.
Interesting enough, I liked everything about the place except the pancakes. With pancake in the name, they need to better with their signature. Everything else was great. Cozy, family restaurant vibe
In summary, from best to worst: 1-Service- very good, for the most part ( we had to wait for the bill for a bit) 2-Atmosphere: good 3- Prices: seriously overpriced 4-Food: bland and tasteless at best
We couldn t finish our food, we had Great Canadian omelette and it was smelly and hair in plate not recommending
The host seemed like he was the owner, and he was rude and ignored us. Not sure if it is racially motivated, or perhaps he was having a bad day, but his attitude was not conducive to working in the hospitality industry. Someone who was seated after us had his order taken and received his coffee before anyone came over to our table. After being sat, it took almost 15 minutes to be served! Another server even came up to me to say she would send our server over. Once we were finally seen, our server was kind and attentive. The pancakes were good. Everything else was alright.
My husband and I came for breakfast. We both ordered the #1 special. The eggs were so greasy we couldn t eat them, the bacon wasn t done and the pancakes were so hard we had to cut them with a knife. It was very disappointing. Also, the service was extremely slow.
Definitely a cute little breakfast place, the food was amazing! We got two eggs benedict, some of the best we ve had. Yet the place was pretty empty and the servers didn t really come around much. Wasn t too far from our hotel, and WAY cheaper than other breakfast places.
Everything was going amazing My bill was 63 dollars and I told the waitress to take 15% And she only gave me 15 dollars I didnt say anything, the food was excellent and the service even better But those actions are not cool and leave a bad experience, Like the tourists that we are
The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness and attentiveness, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable dining experience. The cleanliness of the restaurant was commendable, and the food was truly delectable. I will undoubtedly return for further culinary enjoyment. A special acknowledgment to Ella for her consistent check-ins, ensuring my utmost satisfaction and making me feel genuinely welcome. Her exceptional service is worthy of the highest praise.
Very nice people there, and I liked the food
We were looking for a place for breakfast and came upon this delightful place. Our server was so friendly as was the owner. Our food came in a timely manor and was very good. We will come back before we return home
I would give zero star, but here its not possible. The food was awful, the orange juice was not fresh, it was a type of orange juice of very low quality that made me remember the flavoured medicine I had when I was a child. Even a simple scrambled eggs were so awful, dried and tasteless and you can see and feel the low quality of the food. Do not come to eat here, its not good at all!
Paied $50 for 2 omelets! Not worth it. Wasn t even enjoyable or tasty !
We combined two dishes, one sweet and another savory, it was really plentiful for two people and good. The staff was attentive, and the restaurant was clean. Reasonable value for money given the size of the portions served I recommend.
If I could give 0 reviews I would, do yourself the favour and don t come. Trust, the food was un-edible.
This diner was so cute and cozy! The food was great, music was great, and waitress was very kind. Would recommend to all.
Food was good and staff was excellent. Prices are outrageous. Cippys 2 doors down is a better option.
Cleanliness and friendliness. Youre breakfast hours extended to 11:59am. Give us tourists time to fill out your restaurant. Make sure You Highly recommend our request. Your breakfast promo extended to 11:59 am. We will come back in June 2024, 200 of us will be there especially pancake meal.
Great food, atmosphere, and customer service. Its a lot of food for the price, and I could barely finish. The bacon and pancakes taste great.
We love it! Our food was really good and the beacon was yummy yummy! Thank you Kid-friendliness: Si, tienen kids menu Food : 5/5 |
First time here with our 2 year old. We were seated right away as the restaurant wasnt very busy. Just a few other families were around. We got our coffee. Waited for about 5 minutes till someone came to take our order. We asked for the childs meal to come quickly and here we are more than 20 mins since we ordered and we still didnt get any of our meals. Specially the kids meal is still not here. No communication from the server either. Never again. I am tempted to just walk out at this point.
Large portions, very good omelets, small coffee cups with free refills.
The food was OK. There Famous Panweech is plain and No flavor. The Nutella crepes were OK. I have had better. There are better places to eat at. Would not go back.
Hours on their website and answering machine are not correct.
Hours on website are 7am to 2pm. We arrived at 7:35am to find the place closed. We had planned our day with breakfast in mind, and we were very disappointed. We weren t the only family who walked up to see they were closed and had to alter plans last minute.
Been here few times over the years. Service and food has deteriorated. Told its a 25 minute wait, was 50 minutes after trying to get a servers attention to check on our food. Only to receive undercooked eggs, cold pancakes, and really what breakfast comes without hashbrowns or toast ?? And they comptd only the eggs that THEY undercooked. Wouldnt recommend sadly.
Great
Got the western and big turk omelettes. It is an adorable little pancake place. I was thrilled to see they offered turkey sausage and bacon since Im allergic to pork. Good service. The food took a little long to get out, but the waitresses there were great and so was the food.
Charged me for cheese on my omelet- menu said it came with cheese.....
We had the stuffed French toast and Belgian waffle. The food was good.
Just the past Sunday I ordered for myself the 3 pancakes 2 eggs over-easy and 3 sausages breakfast meal. It seem to take some time to receive the order and the reason I making this review because I was very disappointed that the breakfast came cold like it was forgotten to be brought out to my table. My wife breakfast was barely warm. Waitress replied by saying I let the kitchen know. Coffee wasnt the greatest
The people who were serving were really nice and the food was so yummy
Cool little breakfast place. The breakfast poutine was great! Will definitely stop by the next time we visit. Food
This was a bright, comfortable, welcoming spot for the whole family. Easy to find free parking in the back lot. It was quite busy on a Sunday morning, but service was friendly and reasonably quick. Plenty of breakfast options and sandwich options. Omelettes were ok, eggs were a bit rubbery and oily. Ordered a spinach and mushroom omelette, was asked Is cheddar cheese ok in that? To which I replied yes, thinking it was included, later seeing on the bill that adding cheddar cost $2.99. So for the omelette with homefried potatoes and 2 pieces of toast (no bacon or sausage or anything) it was $17.98 plus tax and tip. Kids meals were $10.99 each. The kids menu had a few basic choices like grilled cheese or egg or pancake, all come just with home fries. Then be ready to add $4.25 for a cup of juice (its just Minute Maid from a dispenser, nothing fresh)! Bottomless coffee was $3.25. Our overall experience was good not great, and a little pricey for how basic the breakfast meals were. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of families with kids, welcoming place.
Worst breakfast experience I have ever had. First off we waited for almost an hour to get our food and when my peach waffles finally came out it was burned. I asked for a glass of water when we first sat down and Im still waiting on it to arrive. Im parched!!! Like how do you mess up breakfast that bad? ITS BREAKFAST!!! Im never going back here again and if youre in Niagara and youre looking for a good breakfast, go anywhere else but here. Trust me!
We ended up here after waiting for 25+ minutes to be acknowledged at the Denny s down the street. It worked out for the best because our server was so sweet and the food was incredible. Would definitely come back if we re ever in the area!
A very quiet, quaint diner. I love the decor! The staff were very nice and accommodating as my husband and I are vegetarians. Food is delicious. A little pricey, though. 2 eggs, home fries and toast is $16.99. Vegetarian options: They will replace meat with tomatoes.
Located away from Clifton Hill, but only a short drive away, dont worry about parking as its free on-site. We had a 30+ reservation for a boys hockey team. The business was a little picky as to how we were to sit, which is odd, as most eateries take orders by jersey numbers in cases like this for billing. Not a huge deal, but a little off-putting. Their early bird special is advertised outside on the business, but not on their menu.....which was a bit pricey and low on options for the kids menu. The coffee was not good, what Id call leaded but reasonable for bottomless. $3.50 for a small glass of juice or lemonade as a kids option is a bit excessive, even with inflation. Service was a bit chaotic, despite being given notice of the size of our party ahead of time. Food came out hot, the portions were at least a bit generous for the prices. Food overall was good. Not sure what other breakfast options closer to the Clifton Hill/Falls area, but my breakfast bill was more than my lunch bill the previous day. Not terrible, but not great either overall.
We missed the early bird breakfast, so we ordered off the menu. Its a bit pricey for breakfast. The home fries were unseasoned, and my omelet was good but not hot. The coffee was good and the service was great.
Amazing breakfast as usual! My parents have been coming here for over 25 years, and we love it!
Friendly service, staff very attentive. Coffee refilled promptly. Good portion sizes. Scrambled eggs and bacon were very good. Excellent blueberry pancakes. Reasonable prices. Will return.
This place was amazing. The food took a little while, but it was %100 fresh and VERY delicious. Even the coffee was excellent and thats coming from someone whos worked as a barista for a decade. The homey old-school feel of the place is very relaxing and the staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend.
Good food good service honestly pretty surprised by how great this place was tbh
Dont go. The servers are nice, but maybe too nice? Very dramatic - almost uncomfortable. Our food was cold and everything over cooked. Couldnt cut the pancakes. Eggs bene yolks were solid, hard boiled. And at $20/breakfast - just dont go.
Fantastic breakfast place. Everything was so delicious! The pancakes, BLT and home fries were so good. A great spot to come with the family.
Staff was very nice/ polite. Establishment was very clean. Large portions. $18-$24 a plate. Quality breakfast food, simple and reliable.
Incredible pancakes, with eggs and bacon a treat! Many thanks Monique!
With all the breakfast competition these days, you really have to stand out, this place is overpriced for what you get. Food: omelette was dry even with the cheese in it, means overcooked. Homefries were freezer to fryer, taste of oil. Western sandwich eggs dry yet toast soggy. French toast was cold, tasted metallic and looked like my kids made. If looking to for a mediocre breakfast just stay home..
1hr+ wait for food with restaurant at less than half capacity..
We waited an hour for our breakfast and when it came it was the worst breakfast food weve ever had.
This is the worst breakfast place in Niagara. Please don t eat here if I like flavour. I went here with my family and waited 48 min for cold pancakes and runny eggs . The best thing they have was the hot chocolate. This place sells you food right out the freezer. Please!! People are paying for over price breakfast , so hire a good chef. Pay that extra money so that your customers will come back .
Friendly staff in a quiet environment.
Food was a bit dry, especially the Canadian bacon. They forgot about a couple things that we ordered, a bit slow, the place itself was unique though.
The servers are very tentative, the restaurant is clean, and the decorations are nice. The food tastes mediocre, but the amount of food will surely keep you full! The poached eggs are a bit over cooked and the fried potatoes are not crunchy enough. Overall its a nice place to have a quiet breakfast!
I really enjoyed my breakfast here. I had Combo 1 on the menu, two eggs (over easy), Canadian bacon, three pancakes. The pancakes were light and fluffy and went really well with the rest of the food. The coffee was good too. The service was friendly and efficient. Also look out for the fun street signs! Overall, a great place for breakfast.
Everyone had a pleasant smile making us feel welcomed. Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. A nice bonus would have been Maple Syrup. Good experience, go there you will like it Its about 30 min walk from the falls Food
Great place. 3.8 is unfair rating now. Worth it to visit
I dont usually leave bad reviews, but felt necessary since busy area with many options. Food was simply not good. How do you mess up pancakes? Pancakes tasted like stale batter. Potatoes were bland. Omelets tasted like simple scrambled eggs with no flavor at all. Server was very nice, but seemed overwhelmed although restaurant not busy at all. I guess because its a tourist area that quality is no concern? Restrooms were also unkempt. The party behind us had even worse complaints so apparently not a unique experience.
My friends and I came up to Niagara Falls for a weekend trip and wanted to find a small breakfast place after our first day of arrival. The restaurant itself is very cute and quiet with a welcoming atmosphere. What made this place stand out was our server, Ella! She was so sweet and on point with her service and made our time here comfortable. Shoutout Ella and the rest of the Pancake House, thank you for the good eats and great atmosphere!
The experience was incredible. The food was hot, fresh, well prepared, huge portions, and delicious. We had the most amazing server ( made the food, hostess, cook, server, and Demi Goddess lol.) named Jenna. Seriously an outrageously amazing server that was funny, spent time with each customer, made great suggestions, loved to joke around, and was the sweetest person you ever met. If there was higher than a 5 star rating on her both the restaurant and Jenna would receive it. They get a true 30 stars. Thank you Continental for the great food, service, and time. Jenna!!! You rock!!!! Vegetarian options: Variety of options Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian options. Parking: Lots of spaces only a couple of handy cap areas. Kid-friendliness: Lots of choices, patient servers. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, level floors.
During our recent stay in the Falls...we once again had breakfast at our favourite Breakfast Restaurant. Great food, great service, great atmosphere...My favourite bfast Entree is Eggs Benny followed by the Western Omelette. Keep up the good work and well see you the next time were in town!! Jack&Jackie, Tilbury
Everything was great. Clean, well lit, and nicely quiet for such a busy location. Delicious simple food, wonderful service. Monique was a delight! Vegetarian options: There are a few vegan options, mostly egg dishes for vegetarian
It was a great meal. We both enjoyed it. We had the banana crepes and a regular breakfast, eggs, home fries and toast with ham. The ham was very very good. Parking: It is right behind the building. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Now they seem to always pin the reviews that are good but im going to be honest me and my family came here for the first time and we didnt have any Canadian dollars so we paid me us dollar the manger cheated us out of all our money and gave us like 10 canadian dollars for about 50 us dollars when we asked for it back he said no. but to the service the girl who served us was the sweetest thing ever love her. BUT NOW FOOD, pancakes were dry tasted like microwave pancakes, potatoes lacked flavor but waffles were to die for ORANGE JUICE WAS DISGUSTING HOW DO YOU MESS UP ORANGE JUICE
Amazing service, very family oriented. The food tastes amazing. I would definitely come back.
We wasted 1 hours and 30 min here It looks like the server forgot to put in our order (she never mention if she did). There were people that got there 30 min after us and they got their food before us. It was only 2 of us with pancakes and eggs so I didn t understand why it took so long. We ended up leaving after 1 hour and 30 min of waiting with no breakfast. Don t waste your time.
Long wait for order (close to one hour) without being told why until I asked. I had pancakes but had to ask the waitress for the maple syrup. Though the bacon and eggs were hot the pancakes werent! How does that happen? Asked for the manager. He said my wait time was 34 minutes. It wasnt. Said the waitress is new and is her first day. No excuse. He offered a discount on the check. Two dollars! For that poor service??? Im a woman of color. Another woman of color waited a long time as well. Hmm... And it was way overpriced to boot! I wont be going there again.
The place is very clean. The server I got was super sweet and friendly, but the food didn t taste that good. Giving 3 stars because I really liked the service.
The food is very delicious, the service was excellent. Everything was very clean. I recommend it.
Food was delicious! Servers are very friendly and helpful. Nice clean restaurant, recommend it.
Eggs were too runny, and had clear goo coming out, the home fries were terrible, coffee was good at least
Charming little breakfast/brunch spot! Very clean inside, staff were super friendly, and the food was good as well. Only hiccup was that the mocha tasted like normal drip brew coffee that just had hot chocolate added to it. Regardless it was still a very pleasant experience and can definitely recommend!
Breakfast Poutine was fantastic, pancakes delightful! Great service and clean place.
It felt like it wasn t enough food love canadian bacon yum. But the pancakes hard pass felt dry. They only have a certain breakfast that is for 10 dollars but it s not the one I was eating because that s the offer they gave.
We had the pancakes and they were really good. The service was prompt and friendly. No complaint at all!
Delicious! Large portion sizes. Could not finish . Not eating until dinner. Amazing very welcoming staff! Looking forward to next time
Food is average. Service is very slow. Took the server 15 min to come and ask for our drinks, even though the restaurant wasn t busy at all. Took her another 10 min to get the drinks!! We ordered crepes and it was terrible. The crepes were almost think as pancakes!!! Didn t enjoy the food. Needless to say, won t be back!
We had a great experience. Our server kayla was a delight!! The food was delicious and overall worth the price. The space is clean, not too busy Chicken tendies were great. Side of toast and canadian bacon was delicious. The winner was the service Food
I Hop is better. They don t use Heinz ketchup, which is disappointing. Waited 30minutes before we got our food.
Really disappointed by their food, Really expensive and way below average as taste. How do you justify 2 eggs + home potatoes + toast $ 19.97 ( they say your choice of sausage, bacon or Canadian bacon ...) I asked for Canadian bacon and they charged $4.99 extra ( 2 small slices ) + $2.99 for 1 extra egg and $ 2.99 for extra toast ( burned-out). Overall taste wasnt any good. Sorry
We came in at about 10:30 in the morning and, waited for almost an hour for the food to arrive. It was lukewarm like it had been sitting for a while waiting to be served. The restaurant was not crowded. Its clean and has a nice ambiance. The staff are friendly. Parking: Behind the restaurant
Just what you d expect in a home style diner! Friendly service, good food and fair prices. We liked it so much we came back the next day!
Awesome meal! Would definitely recommend!!
Do not go here. Terrible customer service and food is not worth it. We went based on decent reviews and liked that it was a local family owned restaurant. We waited an hour and a half for our food to come out! No one ever checked on us the entire time. Didn t come to refill coffee or waters. My daughter didn t even get her drink for the entire hour and a half. We couldn t even find the waitress to ask. Finally she came over and claimed there was a computer glitch and our order was lost. Meaning she forgot to put our order in and was too afraid to admit it. We still waited at least another 20 minutes for food to come out. Other customers noticed what was happening and one even told our waitress we should get our meal for free. She did nothing but say I said I was sorry . I said you re sorry but not sorry enough to do anything about it or make it right . She ignored me completely and made us pay the entire bill. Didn t even take off any sort of discount. And the food wasn t even good. We literally lost our last morning of vacation sitting around waiting for mediocre food. I was so angered that I emailed them afterward to let them know our experience. Expecting a response from a family owned restaurant . Two weeks later and zero response. Do not go here. Edited to add that you responded that you re looking into it further . I ve sent two emails to the address listed on your website and have had zero response. Now because I made a public review you re looking into it . Not sure how you re looking into it without the date I was there or any other information. I hope others see this and don t get caught in your poor business. It really ruined hours of our last day of a family vacation and was not cheap.
Food was mediocre and cold and the wait was excessively long.
Its a great local breakfast
Really friendly staff. Food was good. Large selection of food.
I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. I went there with my family, and we all loved it. We got served by Lorraine, and she was just the sweetest. Her service was exemplary. I had the fluffy pancakes, and it was practicly melting in my mouth. I highly recommend the place if you happen to be in the neighbourhood.
Waited for over 45 mins and nothing came out while we seen other people come in after us and be served, there was obviously some clear disregard towards, not sure why but we were not about to eat from this place so paid for coffee and left. Very pricey as well
My spouse doesnt have specific food preferences, but she had to spit out the meal. While I dont mind higher prices in tourist areas, the combination of unpleasant food and poor service certainly doesnt make the experience better. Additionally, its worth noting that they dont offer any fruit options.
Warning the food was not good, the coffee made us feel sick and the 7 -10 am breakfast special did not even have pancakes. It s a pancake house ! I travel all over trying different diners eggs Benedict and this was the worst eggs Benedict I ve ever had. Spinach that came with it tasted like old frozen food left in the freeezer that got frost bit . I ask and they confirmed it was a brick of frozen spinach. Service was nice but food was horrible.
We sat outside so had to watch for bees. Otherwise good food and fast service. Parking: Parking is in the back of the building and there is an entrance in the back also Food : 5/5 |
A gem of a find. Family friendly and recommended by the guy at one of the other nice restaurants. Food was excellent quantity and quality. It wasnt the overly gross american size portion, Yet seemed larger than european portions. We had a lot of fun interacting with other tables around us. #shelivesontheroad #thingslookdifferentouthere #shesharestheroad #shewantsthisforyoutoo
Everything was good. Waited something like 15 min. For meal.
The Best wafles in my life. Family place
Pros: The restaurant was clean, waitresses were very sweet and friendly, great location. Cons: the food was TERRIBLE. One of the Worst breakfast meals I ve had in my life (38 years old) to make it worse, my daughter ordered crepes, a staple that she loves ordering everywhere when we dine out. I told her that I imagine they would be amazing as we are in Canada . Sorely mistaken. She couldn t even eat them. They dumped frozen strawberries on top of them which made them all super cold. And they were flavorless. For the amount they charge per plate you can splurge on fresh strawberries.
The pancake house was very clean and tidy. The staff were polite and service was great! I didnt find the food to be super amazing, however it isnt extremely overpriced and staff were great!
The server was to busy for quick service, the owner was to busy being busy and was annoyed I wanted to pay. Took along time to get food and was not warm enough. Fell bad for the lady who served but the owner should never be to important to speed things up in a restaurant.
This place is so cute and homey. Everyone was so sweet and amazing ! The food was great and so attentive
Super clean restaurant. Great breakfast variety. Pleasant staff. Thank you.
Very average. Cold coffee and very dry pancakes. Lovely staff though.
No value for money. Ordered crepes which was less than sighty and tasty, returned it to the waitress and they didnt even have the customer service to offer something else or a discount on the bill, they still charged full price for dissatisfaction. They also charge for a takeaway container for 3 pancakes after spending $70 on breakfast that didnt live up to any expectations. Had to go to Tim Hortons afterwards to get something from their breakfast menu. This place will not get my business again. It has 3 stars and isnt as busy, for a reason. I shouldve just gone to Tim Hortons or Macdonalds instead and not waste my money. Annoyed.
Very poor service, ask for glass of water we have to wait like 20 mins, they waited for other 20 mins for somebody to come and take our order. Terrible service
The only thumbs up for the lady server. Food nahhh. Have to wait too much time for a breakfast. Food : 2/5
Our family visited Niagara Falls just for the weekend and we came across this charming little breakfast spot. Our server Andrea was AMAZING! So polite, fast-paced and attentive, a gem really! Would recommend. Food is great and isn t too pricey, good bang for your buck!
Terrific service from Lorraine! Excellent food. Great place to start the day.
We had very bad experience there!!! And if anyone wants to go there please make sure to ask the waiters if is it possible to order a certain thing or they would be mad at you!!! me and my boyfriend went there yesterday we order the food and it was amazing so after we finished my boyfriend wanted to have some strawberry jam so he asked one of the waiters and the answer wasnt what we expecting!! she staright up told him what is it for!! he was so calm he told her because i want to have it and yet she asked the quetion again what is it for!! you guys dont have any toast left so why you want to have it and just because my boyfriend is way too nice he didnt say anything or arrgue with her!! We got so disappointed I have never seen in my whole life a rude waiter towards the customers like her before!! okay you might have a bad day or going through something I understand that but you can t be rude and disrespectful to people.
Average breakfast food. No fresh fruit, no real maple syrup
I found it quite expensive and smaller portions then I get elsewhere but taste great!!
Overall good food and experience. This diner is right beside Al Macs, this venue is far more relaxed. Ive been coming here for breakfast many times over the years, my only less positive comment is the prices have really shot up.
The food was horrible. The eggs were hard pancakes dry and bacon not fully cooked
This is by worst restaurant I have gone to. They do not deserve 1 star. My family was visiting from Chicago. We ordered the pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs, home fries, and coffee. The food was tasteless, the sausage and bacon tasted so bad I couldnt stomach it, the home fries were greasy, pancakes, coffee, and waffles were bland. Top it off none of the condiments had labels on them. What if we were allergic, we wouldnt know what we are ingesting. When I told the waitress we werent eating any of it. She sent the owner over who was rude, and racist. He threatened to call the police on us because we stated what we would pay. He
Went here for breakfast it was the worst experience ever. The pancakes was dry, bacon and sausage tasted awful they barely give you any eggs. No lables on the ketchup and syrup thought that was weird. The manger was very rude and tried to threaten us.
Reached here with fairly low expectations after getting yelled at by the chef at the place next door (Read that review for more info on that). Was pleasantly surprised to find that the staff were very warm and welcoming. The vibe is that of a typical pancake house and our spirits were lifted in no time. The good food was a contributing factor too. I ll definitely be visiting here more often, as I was quite happy with the service, food and atmosphere. (Maybe the bad experience next door also contributed, but hey, it s a win for the pancake house)
We have been comming here for a decade and this wasnt a very good day.im not sure if the staff was a little off today but it definitely showed in the presentation of the food.
The food was well served and the customer service was on point I would recommend this for first travels to Niagara Falls
