The Revolving dining room is located at the Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls Canada . We offer a fine dining experience with an extraordinary view. The restaurant slowly rotates 360 degrees in one hour offering an ever-changing view of not only the American, Bridal Veil, and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, but the entire region. We tower 775 feet over the falls.
This was one the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was exceptional. The prime rib was melt in your mouth good. It is so tender you could tear it apart with forks. We told the server that our daughter had just celebrated her birthday recently and she brought her a free piece of cake with a candle. I'm so happy with the service here. I highly recommend of you are touring around Niagara Falls and can afford this restaurant that you take advantage of it. Just keep in mind that it is quite expensive, but it was worth it for us.
If you coming for a view you’ll be more than satisfied. But if you expect to eat tasty, forget it. The view is not really something they should work hard for, so let me focus on inside. Live piano is a nice part, but it wasn’t playing consistently. The food is something…something you can easily cook at home and even cook better than they do. Not super clean also, as you can see I captured a pretty decent spider… Basically the cost of the meal is more the coast of the view. So focus on jaw dropping views around you and forget that this place os called restaurant.
We had a wonderful evening at Skylon Tower with the family. I ordered salmon, and it was above average in taste; the accompanying salad and sauces were also quite delicious. While the prices are a bit higher compared to nearby restaurants, enjoying the 360-degree view of Niagara is truly an unparalleled experience. The free access to the observation deck after the meal was a great bonus. Considering both, the prices felt quite reasonable. The venue is old and somewhat neglected, but the interior was very clean. The vintage furniture and decor transported us back to the restaurant styles of the 1980s and 90s. Dining while listening to live piano music and watching the sunset over one of the world's most magnificent waterfalls is an experience everyone should have. Therefore, I believe Skylon Tower stands the test of time, maintaining its old charm. It definitely deserves a 5-star rating!
This is not a cheap meal, but you should splurge every once in a while for something nice, and this an exceptional dining experience. The staff make you feel special with their service. The view is unmatched. We had scallops st Jacques, and it was so delicious. For main course, my wife had the soy sea bass. It was a huge piece of fish cooked perfectly. Melt in your mouth good. I had the rack of lamb, cooked medium rare and we shared a side of sauteed mushrooms. The lamb was wonderful and the mushrooms get 5 stars. There were 3 or 4 varieties sauteed with garlic. I could eat that every day of my life. For dessert we had chocolate velvet cheesecake. My eyes rolled back in my head with the first bite. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Don't pass it up, if you are a fan of fine dining, it is money well spent.
To start, the best part of our experience was the service. Our server was very friendly and checked in on us often. The food was very subpar. The scallops were chewy but the calamari was quite good (and had a big portion size). The steaks were disappointing as they were poorly seasoned and very chewy. The vegetables were raw and had no seasoning whatsoever. The potatoes were barely cooked through and also had little seasoning. The pasta was very heavy and creamy. The view was nice but not too much different from the view on the ground. It was a nice one time experience but the food was disappointing.
We had an early dinner reservation and chose the early dinner specials (three- course menu; salad, entree and dessert). We were a party of 7 and yet they seated us in a table with 6 seats, we were cramped. The price that we paid was reasonable. The observation deck fee is included in the restaurant reservation. Great food portioning. Amazing view. The taste is average. They have limited choices for people with allergy. Most of the entrees on the kids menu have eggs. The only dessert that they could offer for my son was mixed berries. One of our servers was attentive and cared from the heart - she made sure my son had something to eat - she gave extra bread as most of the kids' entrees have eggs in them. Towards the end of the meal, we just felt rushed. The elevator guy was entertaining. This was a fun experience for my kids as this was their first time on a revolving restaurant.
So, it's better not to spend money for restaurants. Better buy a ticket just to see the view but not dining!!! The food was not tasty at all. But only a bottle of wine and the view to fireworks made the evening beautiful. You must be ready that you can't just come and order only a cup of coffee or a glass of wine! When we ordered, at first, the waiter said that he needed to calculate if we had enough for minimum order, and it was surprising for us because there was no information about the minimum order. What to say about the kids' menu? Chicken nuggets were very dry and hard for eating. I ordered shrimps and scallops, but was surprised that it's only 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 pieces of scallops.... My husband ordered a salmon and was also surprised because it was served with cake on the same plate. The portion was small. In my opinion, don't dining Skylon restaurant. Just buy a ticket for viewing, not dining!!
This was a dinner experience we won’t forget. We came here with a party of 11 people (6 adults and 5 kids - ages ranging from 15 to 2). For that size of a party, you absolutely 1000% need to make a reservation in advance. When we went (5:30pm), they had the early starter dinner menu but also offered the standard dinner menu. They were turning people away because it was so booked - on a Thursday! First - the view is absolutely stunning. I believe while we dined (for two hours), the dining room revolved about twice. We had amazing views of the Niagara Falls and surrounding area. Gorgeous. Second - the food was delicious. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had - and it was quite pricey - but it was definitely delicious. We ordered two bottles of wine for the adults. The kids menu is decent and a bit of a variety for them. The dessert that came with our three course entrees (part of the early menu appeal) was decent, as well. The kids enjoyed it! Third - the restaurant definitely feels fancy - but the dress code is relaxed. They know people have been touring the Falls all day and expect people to be dressed for that. Please note that they are trying to accommodate many people who want to dine there and share in the experience. Be mindful that you really should not stay over the 1.5-2 hour mark and that the waiters do try to move the experience along. As a party of 11, we definitely needed the full 2 hours to eat and whatnot. Enjoy the experience. It’s going to be pricey - but also consider that it includes your tickets to the top of the tower - which you’d have to pay for separately if you weren’t eating. And then after your meal, you can spend as much time in the viewing tower as you’d like. You only live once. If you’re visiting Niagara Falls, enjoy a meal here. It’s beautiful.
A great experience to repeat for sure. The service was really good, the food was bery tasty and really well plates! But the view its just unbelievable!!!! Food
We had a great service Dec 7, 2024 we visited this restaurant last year group of 55 people from Toronto.Food was very tasty Our server was Mr. Matteo he was definitely the best customer ambassador.
Food is a complete disaster. And service is so bad.waitstaff is so rude. Minimum charge is 39 per person.please don t be fooled by the positive reviews. We had to order the appetiser and mains together. Staff was rushing us to finish the food and they didn t even smile.
Dining here was more than awesome. Read some comments here that the food was pricey but I honestly don t see that cause the meal and drink were WORTH THE PRICE! If it was sold for less, I d doubt the authenticity. The attendants were very nice people and polite. The only thing I had an issue with was the pictures, they should advise people that it comes with a price and not just print the pictures after taking them. Asides that, go enjoy the views, delicious meals and drinks while you are revolving
Honestly, this place was a major disappointment, especially when it comes to the food and atmosphere. While it might be worth visiting once for the overall experience, the food just didn t live up to expectations. The atmosphere was another letdown it felt overly crowded, and the layout seemed designed more to maximize capacity (and revenue) than to create a comfortable or enjoyable setting. It just didn t feel well-coordinated or inviting. I doubt I ll be visiting again, and I d have a hard time recommending it to others.
Food is absolutely horrendous
Had a wonderful wedding anniversary dinner.
TOURIST TRAP!!! Food was disgustingly horrible not even edible. any question we ask about the menu the waiter was nasty about and sarcastic. Not only was the food gross we ordered a burger with no pickles, tomatoes or lettuce. It came out with everything on it I seen our waiter (JOHN) with his bare hands take the bun off the burger then take off the lettuce, tomato and pickle and put it on the side of the plate. Then he brought over the plate to us. We were so disgusted. I mean, if you re going to do something like that at least do it where your customers can t see. Then he never even checked on us to ask if our meal was OK or anything just came over and rudely gave us the check and we had to tell him that we seen him take his bare hands and touch our food and then bring it over to us and he was annoyed and took off the burger off our check. Everything was expensive not worth it at all!!
We had lunch here on our second day, having this view while enjoying a glass of wine and food is wonderful.
They didnt told us that the kids menu includes salad n dessert. We ordered a menu but they didnt give us anything else.
This place is insane! I took my ex here and WOW!. The view is sick! The food was great! And I forgot our waiters name but he was amazing. 5 out of 5
Cool view. But truly one of the worst dining experiences I ve ever experienced. Seems like they get their food from Costco but calling it Costco food is disrespectful to Costco. Absolutely do not recommend going, not worth the price
We had gotten there about 10:30 AM but they were serving at 11:30am. We made our reservations at the front desk and also purchased the $10 tickets for the 10 minute 3-D Niagara Falls movie prior, since we had time to kill. (Save the ticket stubs= $10 off entree per person) The food was fantastic. My wife and I had started with the French onion soup (for me) and fried calamari which came with a fresh marinara sauce and a tasty aïoli sauce. The calamari was tender and the sauces paired excellent. The French onion soup was perfect as well. For our entrées, my wife had ordered the seafood medley, which was fresh, wild grilled salmon, grilled shrimp and pan seared scallops served on a bed of wild rice and a side of broccoli. I had the 5 oz. filet mignon served with a Bernaise sauce, oven roasted potatoes and broccoli as well. Both entrees were absolutely amazing! We finished with a traditional Crème Brûlée (topped with raw sugar that is caramelized to a thinly and sinful crust) The service by Zach, who was our waiter, was impeccable. Paid attention to every detail even though it was noticeably getting busier with hungry and awestruck patrons. And the views were spectacular. I found it similar to the Stratosphere Restaurant in Vegas but a must if you re ever in Ontario. Parking: 15$
The view is great. They have little plaques with information that you can read as the restaurant rotates round. This is particularly handy as it sometimes can distract you from how bad the food is. The staff are lovely, the food I wouldnt serve to my dog (although shes a little spoilt) Get the viewing ticket and then eat somewhere else, seriously anywhere else. Put it this way, lovely view and you can book on a Friday night for any time. That should tell you everything you need to know.
Lovely service but I am sorry to say, absolutely awful food. It is canteen food for the price of Michelin stars. Pay to do the observation deck as the views are gret but save yourself the CAD 250+ bill for the food... Food
Last Sunday, my +1 and I arrived for our reservation, but there was some confusion at the reception. Although the staff eventually let us in, the hosts tone when questioning our reservation felt a bit rude. Despite confirming ahead of time, it was disappointing. However, I want to highlight our server, Rose, who provided excellent service and made our experience enjoyable. Overall, I m giving this a 2-star deduction due to the hosts demeanor.
Food was great. Portion size on the prime rib was amazing. The server could have been friendlier. The lady who came around to take pictures right before eating dinner scammed us. She said the pictures were $35 Canadian or $30 USA. If you know the exchange rate $35 Canadian is roughly $25 USA. We told her we were using credit card but she continued to charge us $30 USA. Which we wanted to pay $35 Canadian. She chose the higher option putting $5 more into their pockets. Complete scam she was doing it to everyone. I complained to the owner and he had a smile on his face like he knew she was doing it. Totally unethical to over charge Americans on purpose and make us pay $5 more by electing the wrong button. He did give me a refund which I really didn t care about. I just didn t want other people that don t know the exchange rate to be taken advantage of. Shame on her and the company taking pictures. Parking: $10 to park. Not a fan of that if I m spending $150 on dinner. In my opinion parking should be free with food receipt.
Steak and lobster dinner was excellent, but what really made this birthday celebration be best birthday ever was the revolving restaurant and the views from the top. Beautiful Niagara Falls pictures at night!
The views at Skylon Restaurant are absolutely breathtaking, offering a unique and memorable dining experience. Its clear that youre paying for the incredible scenery, as the food, while decent, doesnt quite live up to the same standard. That said, the customer service is top-notch attentive, friendly, and professional, making for a pleasant overall experience. If youre looking for a beautiful spot to enjoy a drink and take in the view, Skylon is a great choice, but dont expect the food to be the star of the show.
If I could give zero stars for service I would. The atmosphere is the only this saving this place from being bankrupt. The salmon tasted as if it had been out all day. But the Calamari and then the meatballs were quite tasty. Apparently you have to order your appetizers and meals together otherwise you get sassed my waiters. Never smiled, never courteous. If I m spending my money here for the first time have some respect to explain how the orders usually go instead of making a mockery. Extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming service! Save your money.
This was a pretty disappointing meal considering you will be spending a lot of money to dine here. Our group of six started with their famous French onion soup which was barely warm and had to be sent back. The meatballs tasted frozen and were as hard as rocks and also barely warm as well and also had to be sent back. We had two escargot orders which were just ok but at least they were warm. For the mains I had the chef recommended rack of lamb which was not cooked evenly at all, I had requested medium and one part of the rack was well done, the next medium and the end was rare to almost raw looking. The sauce it was in was also quite salty but I just ignored it and pushed it to the side. My wife ended up getting the filet and it also was quite bland and tasted low quality. My other family ended up getting pasta dishes that were not very good and probably could get better from a chilis or Applebees. Do yourself a favor and save your money because this place is an absolute rip off. The only saving grace were the views but you are dining in a revolving tower so that should be automatic.
A must if youre wanting to see the fantastic view while eating! The inside of the location could do with a slight upgrade but other than that, its a brilliant place to go to. Food : 3/5
The food is pricey, although I will say the lamb chops were worth every penny. Some of the apps were just ok. The wait staff is top notch. And you cant beat the view. Takes about an hour to go all the way around.
My sister and I went for dinner to celebrate our birthdays. Everyone there was very friendly, helpful, and nice. The food was phenomenal, and the views were beautiful.
Save your money and eat somewhere else. Food was not good at all, undercooked fish, overcooked prime rib. Much cheaper to pay for admission to observation deck.
Great place to eat and view Niagara Falls.
We have just had dinner with 8 people for my wifes birthday and with 4 children. To rate this restaurant, you have to separate two things: the view and the experience and the food. For the view and experience, this easily earns a 5. The dinner with rotating views of the city and waterfalls is top notch. The place is pleasant and even if there are people, you dont feel cramped. We had dinner from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and saw the falls twice and it was definitely worth the place. Then, for the catering part, it is clearly not a gourmet restaurant but it is not the disaster that some describe either. The childrens menu is really good and at a reasonable price of 26CAD. For adults, yes the dishes are expensive but it is the price of the view and the experience. We found our starters and main courses to be very good except for the scallops which were poorly cooked. The service is correct even if not at the location level. The wines are quite reasonable compared to the prices of the dishes. French Champagne at 170CAD and local wine at 70CAD. In total, a bill of 980 CAD with the obligatory service of 18% because there were 8 of us. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian dishes Kid-friendliness: Childrens menu very well done and with choice Wheelchair accessibility: They are a platform to allow wheelchair access.
My husband and I came here after getting married on the US side of the falls. We wanted a kitschy/classic meal and thought Skylon would be the best place for that. When the reservation was made, it was mentioned that we would be celebrating our wedding. The person over the phone was very congratulatory and took the time to include it in the computer--or so we thought. When we arrived and checked in on the ground level, the person helping us asked is we were celebrating any special occasion and we told her that we had just gotten married. She did not see anything on the reservation, so again took the time and enter it/make a note. Once we got up there, however, it was never mentioned by the staff again. We werent expecting anything in any way, shape, or form, and only mentioned it over the phone out of excitement. We wouldnt have said anything else about it had we not been prompted when checking in. It was just a little odd and humorous that after talking about it, the staff handling our meal made no effort to acknowledge it. The restaurant inside is what you would expect: sleek but a little bland, tourists being their primary demographic. That actually aligned with our expectations and was a part of the experience. The food was fine, the joke was made that you expect bland catering at a wedding and this was right in line with that. No complaints but we werent clamoring to take our leftovers with us, either. Probably the most disappointing aspect of the experience was the service. She did her job, she was efficient, but her hospitality was about equivalent to what youd find at a greasy spoon. People are going to come to Skylon for the view and the novelty and with a guaranteed clientele due to the amount of tourists, Im sure someone ran the numbers and found it cheaper to offer the most uninspired food imaginable--they are not really banking on repeat diners, after all. It was not without its charms, however unintended, but despite its possibility to be a true destination, does not entirely live up to that potential. Vegetarian options: Few if any.
Great views of the falls from the deck. Buffet has plenty of window seating, even the porest seats (ours) have a view of the falls Buffet food was interesting but every dish i sampled lack any flavor. Mussel dish was unappealing with mostly empty shells and no broth. Wine selection was largely Canadian. Service was very good. Very expensive for lackluster food. $167.
I don t normally rush to write a review but it amazes me the discrepancy between the the experience I had vs what I saw on here. Not to discredit but 3 star ratings put me off and usually a safe bet to what you ll get. My wife insisted we try it, (she has been here before) and everything was amazing! I m afraid of heights but Terrell was a funny guy and helped ease the anxiety. Jillian and Danielle were very polite and accommodating, helped us get to see the fireworks at 10 pm. I ordered the steak and it was delicious. Don t get discouraged by the reviews (a lot of local places with 3 stars I don t know why) give a try!
Quality cuisine and really fair price for the place with a breathtaking view. (Restaurant does a complete tour in 70min)
We have been here many times before but we sadly disappointed last night. We were celebrating a 21st birthday and 50th wedding anniversary. Nothing was said or done to make that special. We were party of 8. The seating seemed very squished like they were trying to seat as many people as possible. We order some from the early menu and some from the dinner menu. The French onion soup tasted very strange with a solid puck of cheese in the middle. Also some weird red flakes, like red pepper? Never tasted like that before. The chicken cordon bleu was dry and overcooked. Broccoli was way under cooked and impossible to cut. They had no beef stroganoff or baked potatoes. There was also some kind of weird red pepper seasoning on the lobster. One of our guests found quite a long hair in his food and when he pointed it out to the waiter he was offered more fries. The food was very expensive and when the bill came we complained again about the hair in the food so the waiter brought a slice of cheesecake. Then the bill came. We were surprised to see the meal with the hair still on there so we asked for the manager. The waiter returned and said they were too busy that he would just remove that item from the bill. He returns with a bill more expensive than the first one! He said they forgot to add the 18% auto gratuity. We were not impressed at this point and asked for the original bill back that was much less. The manager never came over. And we will never return. $700 later and very disappointing experience for 2 very special occasions.
The Niagara Revolving Restaurant offers a truly romantic dining experience with breathtaking views. The food is exceptional, and the service is attentive and friendly. The revolving ambience adds a unique touch, making it perfect for a special occasion or a memorable night out. Highly recommended!
The buffet is very varied and stocked, in addition to having good seasoning, coupled with a great view of the Niagara Falls that accompanies you throughout the entire moment of your meal. It just needs a little more attention and service from the waitresses. Without a doubt, after visiting the falls, it is the most important thing to visit in Niagara.
We did the early seating (4:30/5pm), which was packed. The wait staff were obviously overworked; you could feel their unhappiness. Youre given 1.5h to eat. Before our time ended the manager asked us to leave (and not particularly nicely) so they could set up the next service. Makes you feel like cattle on a conveyor belt. I had the sirloin tips in Béarnaise, and it was good other than the undercooked broccoli. The tiny starter salad was mostly iceberg lettuce - and it had rust spots - with one-dimensional Italian dressing. Dessert was chocolate mousse that was clearly made from a mix. It had an artificial undertaste. Wine choices are only local. Although the view is nice, its hard to enjoy when you feel pressure to get out quickly. Best to eat elsewhere and pay for the observation deck separately (or skip it altogether since there are many other great views in the area). All tables require getting up a step or two. I didnt see any table that was accessible.
I would not say that the food here was extraordinary or anything, which I was lead down by since there was so much potential. However, the experience of being up there when dining was fun and the dessert was good. (Also the baguette with butter was really good we had a refill twice)
The restaurant has a breathtaking view. It s not about food, it s the experience. Food was ok, service was a bit slow, but we were thrilled with the scenery.
New York strip was on point, the Chilean Sea Bass was too perfection. The grilled vegetables were not good. The French onion soup & ceaser sald were delicious. The service was immaculate and the atmosphere/view was tremendous and worth it. Best place for a couple to enjoy the Falls view.
Myself and one other family member were sick the following day after having a seafood dish from here hygiene and quality standards really need to be looked at. Also the dishes were very overpriced for what you are given.
The best experience in Niagara Falls ever.
Not worth money. The views are great. Service isnt and food is awful. Tried many top tower restaurants no one requires minimum amount of bill. Skylon tower needs atleast $50 per person in order to sit..
Ok atmosphere, beautiful view, food sub par, not worth the $$.
Long line to get to elevator but great view and friendly staff Kid-friendliness: Plenty for kids to see and eat. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair can get to everywhere.
Terrible experience! The manager Angelo treated my family with very bad attitude, and refused to help us with our request to sit near the window (even though there are more than 3-4 empty window tables open, and we even asked him twice!)
Overall just a mediocre experience for an almost $300 dinner. The beverage server was not good at all. He hardly spoke two words and left us empty way too long. The food server was just okay - he at least tried to make conversation but jokingly mentioned how people sit around and don t leave after eating and he wants to tell them to leave. Definitely made us feel rushed even though we literally just got our food. The only real positive was the view, but still not worth the amount you pay for the food. We would not return.
Lunch was perfect, even the hot french bread and butter. I had the seafood, wife had the vegetarian dish, kids meal was fit for an adult. Cheesecake excellent. View was amazing. Classy atmosphere.
It s worth going for the rotating restaurant. The view Niagara Falls is fantastic. Go at night for fireworks. Food is just ok. Parking is good price.
I have had much better food on a flight. Oh boy, it was something else. The staff are obviously pretty stressed.
The only thing that knocked this rating to a 4 was the prices. Its a cool idea and the facts around the windows are neat but it was expensive. And as the sun was setting, when you revolve to that side you are baking for 20 minutes. Put some shades in! That said, your meal comes with the observation deck admission which is 15 on its own. And the view is breathtaking. If you can afford a 60 dollar meal, go for it.
We ate very badly!
cant get any better regarding food, service or location. definitely worth trying if youre in Niagara Food
Worst customer service ever. They willl delay you till you miss the early dinner so you order from the other menu
Was worried when I seen the low rating for an expensive restaurant, but we wanted to visit the tower anyways which costs about $20 so we figured what s an extra $35 for a dinner and decided to try the early dinner menu. We were given a window side seat for six and our service was fantastic. Food was incredible and with large portions, prime rib and salmon was phenomenal and the view from the restaurant and the atmosphere was worth it. I m glad our visit was clearly better than others. Kid-friendliness: They have kid menus that were quite good in portion size and quality
Underwhelming. If not for our tradition of visiting rotating restaurants every year on special occasions we would ve had no reason to visit here. The service was unwelcoming. I specifically requested a window seat when I made our reservation for our anniversary celebration and was seated at a booth instead. They were seating single diners by the windows though. We watched three tables seated after us get their food first. We weren t served bread until after our appetizers were done. It took almost an hr to get our entrees and for the price the food was mediocre at best. $70 bucks for lukewarm prime rib with a roasted half tomato and two small roasted potatoes and a hard clump of broccoli is ridiculous. My wife s fish wasn t any better and she had the same exact sides if you can call them that. At a high scale restaurant I expect to have several side options to choose from and Skylon simply doesn t have them. I came in not expecting too much based off of the reviews but I was holding on to a small sliver of hope that our experience would be different. Sadly I was wrong. I set our reservation at 9 pm specifically so I could surprise my wife with the fireworks. I was told by our waitress she would notify us when they started in case we hadn t made it around to that side of the falls and we never were so of course we missed them. The view was decent from what we were able to see from our seats and the creme brûlée was good but certainly wasn t worth the almost $300 bucks I spent. It just wasn t the romantic experience I wanted. We never made it to the observation deck maybe that would ve made the experience more worth it but the dining experience is a tourist rip off plain and simple. Get some sides on the menu and hire a better chef if you re going to charge those kind of prices. The service or the food is no where close to 4-5 star dining. We won t be back. Parking: The parking should be free but is overly expensive
Incredible view and that was fun. Talking the elevator up and down was fun. Service was great. Food was hit or miss. Tenderloin was very good, as was the Tenderloin burger. The French Onion soup was just ok, to much cheese and not much of anything else. Clam chowder was barely lukewarm. Skip the ice wine, they serve it in a shot glass and it was good, but not the best ice wine weve had.
Cheap buffet
Expensive but had an amazing time. Views are incredible, the facts about the falls/building along the windows was a nice touch. Not sure about the other meals but the prime rib was delicious!
Amazing place!! We absolutely loved the 360 panorama view. That s the best view ever! The food is pretty correct. The bread and the butter were delicious.
At first I didn t like the service. Our server was not friendly enough. I didn t like it. Food was testy and delicious. The view from the top of the tower looked incredible. We were enjoying the fire work from above.
We had the fixed menu lunch here in February 2023. The view is spectacular, no words to express this. Food was not as the price suggested. Service was good, could have been better. Go for the view, not so much for the food.
Beautiful restaurant! Everything is impeccable. Since it rotates, you can see the whole city while you eat I recommend it!
The harsh comments had me skeptical of the food here, but we had a great time. This is easily the best view of the falls you can get, and the revolving floor is so cool with little fun facts at every window. The service was wonderful - they were understaffed and were clearly working hard to make sure we were taken care of. If you are able to catch an early reservation (4:30 - 5:00 PM), I highly recommend. They have an early bird special that comes with appetizers, an entree, and dessert. We picked the prime rib and it did not disappoint! Very tender and full of flavor. Don t listen to the harsh comments, book a reservation here and you won t regret it.
We were there for my hubbys bday celebration and it was perfect, food was delicious, and they brought out a dessert with a burthday candle in it
Food taste like TGIF but with a 50$ purchase minimum per person (including children). Cant just order drinks. Has to be 3 appetizers or combination with main course meal. Save yourself the money, only pay for viewing from the top of the tower. Avoid the food.
Been going for many many years. Food is incredible and view is equally as amazing. Heart broken to see the low ratings score for this place. I would give it 5/5 for the past 20 years. Food
Amazing restaurant with mind blowing views. Great service from attentive friendly staff. The food was excellent- the best prime rib ever. Food : 5/5
The worst restaurant experience ever!! I dont care how good the view is. I found this bug from my meal. The staff lady was extremely rude too. Food : 1/5
My wife and I went here on a Friday night. We both figured the food would be adequate at best but we wanted to experience the rotating restaurant and see the views of Niagara. We were very pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and amazing staff!
This was absolutely the most terrible dining experience that I ever had and I am not exaggerating. Let s start from the beginning, The bread was cold and hard, old, I buy better bread at the store. I ordered appetizer the salmon and it tasted terrible, just by looking at the color of it I could tell that was not fresh. I literally couldn t eat it !!! My main course was sea bass for $70 the fish itself was eatable but the rice was sticky and no flavor to the rest of the plate. Terrible food please don t spend your money here. The view is nice but you can see it from the observatory. Service was bad too ! We had 2 servers for no reason as both of them looked like they didn t want to be there. I barely touched my food and instead of asking me how is the food the server said ohh I guess you have low appetite I could t wait to get out of there and to top it off it was on my birthday and for the first time ever I refused to get a dessert or a second drink because I refused to give them my money.
If you plan for dinner , birthday , date night , or any dinner that you have to get ready for it do not do it . To get to the restaurant is a hassle with the elevators running slow but fine . We had reservation at 8:30 we got there at 8:30 and they handed us a waiting beeper . Waited another 30 min and we got seated . Servers are terrible , they look like they are ready to go home, 0 effort. Ordered a old fashion, glass was completely wrong and fill with ice and a slice of orange. clam chowder was inedible , my wife ordered the smoked salmon appetizer , salmon had a color like was sitting out since morning , she could not eat it . We asked the server if we could cancel the entree he said there is a minimum charge for being there about 58$ but he did offered to take off the appetizers from the bill so we decided to give it a try . Wife had sea bass . Completely bland and the risotto tasted like the one you buy ready and microwave it, that was a 70$ seabass. My seafood pasta was ok-ish. . I will not recommend to anybody to go there . Buy the ticket to go up for amazing views.
The atmosphere is beautiful and there is a lot of choice at the buffet. But they made a mistake on our account 2 times, you have to be careful. But the worst part is that my boyfriend and I had a really bad time with the food, we spent about 24 hours having a really bad time. They served food that was unfit for consumption.
I was very excited to go up the tower and enjoy a meal here. Our table for 5 was ready as soon as we got up to the tower. The waitstaff, although incredibly busy, were very nice and gave us some tips about the Niagara Falls area. The sights were wonderful and we had a great view right out the large windows. It is pretty expensive, but the portion sizes are great for the majority of the dishes. My only complaint was that I didn t think the taste was spectacular for the price. However, it was a good experience overall. I m not sure if this is the norm, but we were not given the option to split the check. For 5 people it was $300+ which could have been an issue for most college students. Luckily I was able to cover it and have my friends pay me back. I understand why they do this so I am not complaining, just be aware because it was unexpected lol.
Just buy a hamburger and eat it. The expressions on everyones faces at every table looked depressing. The servers didnt even seem to need the trouble of clearing dishes. No one brings a second plate. There is absolutely no need to stop here to see Niagara Falls.
It was an outstanding experience, from the staff and the food was very good. We went here to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary & my hubbys birthday . The staff are very caring and kind especially Jim & Rose very courteous and very attentive
Nice to have been, but it is super expensive, and we especially hated the way to get there. We had to wait downstairs in the lobby, even though we didnt want to have our picture taken. The view is beautiful from the restaurant, staff very nice, but we would not come again for the food.
We were a family of 5 with a 10pm reservation. Because we had a late reservation we viewed the menu and were ready to order when seated. Adam came took our drink orders right away. The waitress Jill working with him made the experience miserable. We literally watched them set two tables in front of us, seat the 2 couples, and take their orders. One couple was getting their salad when we were just receiving our subpar drinks. The peach bellini and strawberry daiquiri tastes worse than circus drinks because they used artificial peach and strawberry flavor. The kind that you pour on a snow cone! I anticipated real peach and strawberry purees for the cost. Jill finally took our order when the couples were getting their main dish. She completely ignored us and I imagine held our order because we were the last group in iur section to eat. People who came after us had left. She brought our appetizer with the meal. And looked puzzle when i questioned her. It was absolutely horrible to watch others eat as we revolved around with subpar drinks. Our bill was $640. The food was okay but.not worth the inconsiderate wait/poor service. The atmosphere has the potential to be amazing but it was tainted by Jills rude behavior. We had better service at TGIF and the Watermark in Hilton. I wanted to walk out and just pay for the drinks but our teens really wanted their meals. I did speak to the manager whose only interest was in the quality of the food. He offered no explanation on the long wait and why four people seated about 20 minutes after us (and had the same meals minus lobster) were seated and served before our order was taken. A huge disappointment and the manager didnt help. Poor customer service to say the least. No apologies were given.
Excellent service by Adam! The chicken was spectacular! The multigrain rice was yummy and the sautéed mushrooms were the best I ve ever had, not to mention the view of the Niagara Falls from above there, the ambience Would definitely go back
This place has the worst food....if youre vegan/vegetarian def skip it. The vegetarian option was unseasoned vegetables sitting in a literal pool of oil and water. Even something as basic as garlic bread was bad. It was cold and drowned in salt.
The view was amazing, food was ok but pricy, we knew we paid for the view.
The view and staff was amazing but the food came out cold and was mid for the price
The restaurant can t even process basic reservations. I asked for a table of 9 for seven pm and upon arrival they told me they misheard and thought it was table of 7 for 9 pm. Very disappointed.
Decided for before a night out we would have a romantic dinner in the skylon tower revolving dining room, where do I begin, the service was interesting to say the least, we did get a prime spot next to a window which was lovely but was also sadly the highlight of our meal, we were seated beside the server station which is a very different experience, the bread that they serve was sitting on a shelf at this station around knee height (not food safe) along with many other things that go on the tables including butter, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar etc. Our first server came to greet us and asked what we would like to drink at the same time as setting down our menus, which of course we needed a minute, when he returned we ordered our drinks and a couple minutes later another woman arrived at our table asking what we would like to order, I was surprised that we had 2 servers, definitely an interesting set up but unfortunately all it did was make us feel rushed. We decided to go with the set menu with started with a salad, then entree and finally a dessert, the salad was good however basic and sadly my boyfriends bowl was not cleaned properly and my bowl had a significant chip in the top, our entrees were okay not amazing, but we were happy to get the set menu or the prime rib would ve been significantly more for the same plate on the regular dinner menu, then came dessert the disappointing part of the meal, the chocolate mousse tasted as if it was just cool whip and chocolate syrup mixed together with some cake crumble, I decided to skip on the endeavour, the Skylon Tower however a beautiful view and a cool experience to go to the viewing decks after your meal, I would say once is enough to go for dinner, I believe back in the day this was a beautiful experience with a exciting menu paired with great cocktails and luxury service, but I don t think it s been that for a long time, definitely a cool view but not worth the meal
Let s start saying that we made a reservation, we could check in only 15 minutes before the time of the reservation and that s fine if it wasn t for the fact that we had to wait 45 minutes because there is only one elevator. The lady that was on the elevator was very rude. First impression of the restaurant: the waiters set up the tables touching the silverware on the top from where the guests eat, in general the place wasn t very clean. When we finally were called for our table we noticed that the table was going to fall from the stair and it wasn t next to the window so when l asked for an another table the host told me that she was going to move me after my meal which l thought it didn t make sense. But then we were asked to wait a few minutes to be seated in a new table and when the host was showing as the table was running to the table and making us feel like we were not welcome at all. The service was ok and we really appreciated the service of Djordje (l hope l wrote it right) he was very nice and professional. If it wasn t for the view this place wouldn t be as wanted as it is.
The customer service is terrible; everyone is angry. The bar has a small menu with tasteless food. If your party has more than six people, they will charge you an additional 18% on the total bill.
There were some highs and lows for this experience. First the building looks like it s falling apart. It s old and outdated. The restaurant is awesome with great views but the prices are shocking. My salad had a huge leaf of brown lettuce in it and the dessert left something to be desired but the entree was delicious! Watch out for the deceptive parking where a guy tries to usher you into his run down lot next to the tower for $15 when the lot for the tower is free. The observation deck is cool and when can you say you ve had a meal in a rotating restaurant?
This was a cool experience but it was taken away by some of the general features of the night: - an elevator was down so it took extremely long time to go up and down. Over 30 minutes waiting for an elevator - it took over 40min to get our meal.. no apologies, no it s coming soon . Others got there when we did and left earlier than we did.. so not sure what happened. - the bread was cold.. tasted like stale French bread from a grocery store. - a photographer came by and took pictures of all guests at their tables. This was distracting when others were getting pictures (a flash kept going off) and then was distracting because it was our turn. They then came back a little while later and tried to sell us on printed pictures they had taken. It s rude and takes away from the experience. Some pros: - we really enjoyed the food! The veal and the lamb were both flavorful. - the view, of course!
My husband and I came here yearly prior to covid because it was so enjoyable and everything about it was great. Now, not so much. We dined there over the weekend and we were super disappointed. The food was terrible, as was the service. To start, my husband ordered the jumbo shrimp starter. It was not jumbo and was not deveined. 4 tiny pieces of shrimp. For dinner I ordered a steak medium rare which arrived very well done (no blood at all), my husband ordered chicken, which was super dry and overcooked and the rice it came with was not edible. My daughter had kids pasta which was also over cooked. When our meals arrived at the table, the wait staff didnt even take the plates from the empty appetizers or the empty bread baskets which we placed to the side. The bill was nearly $300 and nobody left satisfied. We were so disappointed as this was one of our favourite places to dine when we visited and we will sadly not be returning.
The elevators tend to get cramped since theyre trying to move as many people as possible each time they run. Bear that in mind if youre claustrophobic. The food is really good, but pricey.
Second time to Skylon Revolving Restaurant in a year during trips to Niagara & loved it both times! Last night we all had great seafood or fish meals & chocolate almond torte ( deliciously chocolate & beautiful presentation). The service and attention from Tom & Alexandra ( Section 2) was tops. Very attentive & engaging with our party. Will definitely return for next Niagara trip, no question. Cant seem to add pictures here or I would.
Good service, Excellent view of the falls both canadian and in the evening. The Calamari was excellent, and a hood Filet Mignon, Also a good kids menu. Food
Food was decent. Not the best but not the worst. We went at night and got to see the fireworks so of course the view was the best part. The view was more of the experience we were after since we did read other reviews and knew the food wasn t going to be the best. We were a party of 6 and when someone in the group just wanted one of the starters as their meal since it sounded the most appetizing.. (we still got 5 alcoholic beverages and 4 other meals) the server claimed it is at least one main meal per person and he couldn t just get a starter as a meal. Which is bizarre since that s not listed anywhere when you make a reservation, in the confirmation email OR online that one main meal is required per person. Our server never came back to check on us or bring us water. He only came back to ask us if we wanted to order more drinks. Although he moved pretty quick when it was time to collect payment. His customer service was subpar and we were treated like an unworthy transaction. The female who was serving around our table came to refill our waters after request and was very friendly. She also was the person who served our food and cleared our plates. She made the experience a bit better & was even apologetic. The portions were pretty big but we had 2 people who both got the seafood pasta and one person had way more on their plate than the other. There was no need for a starter since we actually ended up leaving behind some of our meals. Overall it was the views we went for but we probably wouldn t dine again. For 5 entries and 5 alcoholic beverages it came out to $423 CAD not including tip. Would probably just pay to go up instead of being forced to order a certain threshold of food to dine in. There are much tastier restaurants in town.
Revolving dining room was packed on a Monday night. We had reserved table for 8. We were lucky to fit 6. The tables are miniature and low, chairs old dirty and uncomfortable. Table cloths were dirty stained and did not match. Cutlery was dirty, 3 people had to ask for new. While waiting for our reserved table was told to continue to wait standing by a closet. Only 1 menu was provided, the other 5 of us were given the price fixed menu. The ledge beside the windows outside were filthy, the piano playing was loud and I think was some incoherent form of acid jazz. Only 1 elevator was working, staff continue to hound you to have your picture taken to be sold later. Washrooms are inaccessible for senior. Must wait 10 minutes for an elevator or climb 4 sets of stairs for men. Do not bother going to this tourist trap! The view is cool but if you want a clean, professional, organized dining experience save your $500 and go somewhere else to eat.
They were incredibly rude and condescending. The food was below par - cold and dry salmon with half a baked tomato and a huge brick of broccoli for $58. It s overly loud and squashed in. A complete disappointment and do not recommend at all. Made what was suppose to be a special event an incredibly unpleasant experience.
Amazing view. Food was okay not much vegetarian options but non vegetarian dishes are great.
Im sorry but the food was atrocious. Big thumbs down from me.
The tower is totally dilapidated. You feel the ambiance as soon as you enter the lobby. A clearance mall feel. Once up there, your only compensation for your mistake in booking is the view of the falls and the service staff. The cuisine is not at all up to the prices charged ($120 CAD). So for the view, take single tickets without going to the restaurant.
Service is not very friendly.
I had heard the food was not going to be that great. They were right! But the view and atmosphere were pretty awesome. Just go into this thinking its an experience and not some delicious meal. I was irritated with the extra crazy price for parking. Even though we had dinner reservations. And the price for food. Its on the high end. That is going to make the average family unable to eat here. Parking: And it was ridiculously expensive for an hour+ just for dinner.
The worst VEGAN experience of my life. For $49 (which is the minimum consumption), you get a plate of overcooked vegetables in hot water with no flavor, not even salt. It s a real shame that an expensive place like this has only this vegan option, and whoever created this dish knows absolutely NOTHING about vegan cuisine. Shame on you, Skylon. Shame.
Best views of Niagara in the area. Excellent customer service. Junk food. I ordered the prime rib and they brought out a hockey puck of overcooked meat. They replaced it with a NY Strip and it was indeed cooked mostly correct ... But it still sucked. I dont think they understand the concept of salt and/or pepper for a steak. Regardless, take my example above and multiply it for every meal and theres your answer. They know what they have and dont care how badly you are conned.
The food is very average. Nothing at all be excited about. The salmon was previously frozen, the chicken was cooked decently, the prime rib was good. Overall, it s what I expected. However, the views are amazing. The atmosphere was good and the service was above average. Go for the views! the food is just average but the service is good. Portion size was large, so that s a plus bc you re overpaying for the food.
Food was not good at all. Brandon was our server, he literally ignored us and did not came to check on us even once. He was judging us with his other co worker, i felt terrible the whole time. Don t waste your money here. Never coming back.
Stunning View. The rotation of the restaurant gives me different views. Service not too good. Glass for beers not cold, not candles neither sweet for birthday people. We had to ask for bread. We made the reservation 3 months in advance through Open Table to guarantee window and when we get there they said to us not windows available at this time. Not fair. I am very disappointed with this place. We pay high prices and we never get what we expected.
Photogenic views from the time lapse I recorded whilst seated, my parents ordered the Salmon Filet and Veal Loin chop which were both average to say the least. I ordered the Angus Striploin steak which was cooked to a perfect medium rare and tasted great. Unfortunately the level of service received from the host/waiter definitely has room for improvement. Understandably, as tourists/people on holiday from another country we were slightly underdressed for the occasion but it should not detract from the level of service and hospitality provided.
Im not sure why does this place is so poorly reviewed. At least my experience was awesome and I would come back any day of the week. Everything was delicious, from the prime rib, to the garlic bread. Theyve also got the best onion soup Ive tried. Yes, the restaurant is expensive, but it balances out when you take into consideration the views of the Niagara Falls that it offers. Waiters were nice and friendly, everything got to the table swiftly and at a nice temperature.
The most disappointing lunch Ive ever had. I ordered the steak, and it looked like it was boiled with no seasonings on it. Our whole group had to keep adding salt and no amount of salt could fix that sad steak. For the price youre paying, you would hope to have decent food. Service was mediocre, we felt so rushed and they kept saying we had to order because the kitchen was closing. The only redeeming quality this place had was the view, but weve been to Niagara numerous times and have been to much better steakhouses that I would gladly pay top dollar for. This is the biggest tourist trap Ive ever seen. If you dont care about food and just want the view, just go to their observatory area.
Horrible customer service yelling and very rude managers and servers would not reccomend just go to the cn tower and got yelled at for talking. Along with the fact that the food is cold. I was wearing a white t shirt and the workers ran into me.
We stopped shortly before closing for a quick birthday dessert and drink. The bartender was absolutely amazing. The drinks were great and the dessert was to die for. Thank you for making my birthday special!
This was some of the worst experience ever. First off I had ordered the clam chowder soup so when the server Vinny brought it over, I caught him getting a spoon out the drawer and he had something on it. He wiped it with his finger and brought the spoon to me and sat it on my table. I was disgusted with that, then after a couple of more altercations with him I asked for a manager when the manager. It took a long time for him to come, then when he came I guess he couldn t hear me so he was close to my face. All I smelt was cigarette smoke, again so disgusting. So maybe he was outside smoking a cigarette is what took so long for him to come and see what was needed. He acted ask if he was going to addressed the issue, but he really didn t !!!. My son had got the tortellini and had no flavor. The clam chowder was OK but the service was very unprofessional and rude. And it seems to me as if the server got ruled and upset because all I ordered was a drink and a soup. I wasn t hungry so maybe he felt o she s not spending any money, so I m going to treat them rudely. Then he was talking about me to the other guy which looked like his brother and my son heard it all, like mom they re talking about you saying all you ordered was a soup. In front of my 13 year old son come on now what type of a role model are you!!! So all in all the view was beautiful, the restaurant looked nice, but the food was OK but the service was horrible and unprofessional, including the manager. And overall, I feel that it s overpriced for the food because we spent $88 for a soup, one entrée that had no meat in it just noodles and sauce, sangria drink, and Shirley Temple. They need to do better with their service!!
Good good and views, horrible service Parking: Good spots, a little pricey Food : 5/5 |
Staff are amazing! They performed the Heimlich on someone and might have saved their life. Gave them a complimentary cheesecake after. Served us so well and and were a great part of the overall experience of the views.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere and experience eating here. The service was very attentive and the food was mostly good. Lets be honest you are paying for the view and the experience of the rotating restaurant so the prices are high. I ordered the seafood pasta and it was very disappointing. All of the seafood was extremely overcooked. My husbands meal was better....he ordered steak.
What an epic place to visit and have our dinner 765 feet above Niagara Falls with a view of the falls from where we were sitting. Prime rib buffet with a lot of other options. Food was great and service was top notch! After we were done eating we got to go one floor up to the observation deck and went outside to take in the view. A bit pricey but worth every penny for the experience there!
Stunning views, excellent service and outstanding food highly recommended
The food when I went was fabulous too good to pass of but obviously it also depends what you get but so far the expensive dishes is always a good hit and won t disappoint don t expect much if your going for buffet it s subpar but regular dining it s to die for!
Great food in the revolving dining room. We enjoyed the escargot. My son LOVED the prime rib. My husband had veal, and he LOVED it. My other son had seafood pasta. I had the Chilean Sea bass. Everything was delicious. Service was amazing. We were worried when we saw the negative reviews, but this place was incredible. Maybe the negative reviews were for the buffet on the other floor?? The revolving restaurant I would highly recommend. Our server Darlene was awesome!
The food absolutely sucks. I ordered the Chilean sea bass. For the prices this place charges... Its absolutely disgusting. I was served a SLICE of sea bass... absolutely no flavor but doused with a straight from the bottle tasting ginger soy sauce... My husband ordered the filet mignon.. zero salt or seasoning of any kind.. 2 whole potatoes boiled potatoes and hard broccoli. There was no skill or effort put into this food AT ALL. My bass was I think about $60 and his filet was $70. Beautiful place... absolutely stunning views of Niagara. But know you are absolutely going for the views. Not for any sort of elevated dining experience.
This is bar none the fanciest restaurant Ive ever been to so many Im not the most reliable judge of a place like this, but this was simply wonderful. The view is fantastic and the slow rotation gave a nice view of the entire surroundings. The staff was great and was able to answer any questions we had. I tried that extremely fancy steak and a Pina colada mocktail. Honestly, these were fantastic, though $60 felt extremely overpriced for the food. I know its a fancy place so thats probably par for the course, but it honestly didnt taste that different or unique from any mid-end steak I could get elsewhere. Hated that they used paper straws too. I also noticed a couple dead bugs along the windows as we rotated. How the heck did they even get up here? Though honestly, I dont regret it. This was a once in a lifetime experience and the objective positives really outweighed everything.
Worst experience Worst service Not recommended Food : 1/5
While the food did not blow us away and it was a little pricey for our family of five, this unique dining experience was worth it to see the kids enjoying the changing view from the revolving restaurant
We did both the buffet diner and the rotating diner. We preferred the rotating diner, the 360 degree views area amazing. The glass uses doesnt cause reflections, the portion size are large even on the early seating menu. The appetizer tasted wonderful, including the chocolate Martini. All the food at this place restaurant has wonderful flavors. If you want lots of food and good views do the buffet. If you want great views, great service and great entrée go for rotating diner. Or do both as we did, it will cost about $200 for 2 people, including top, but good value as you can go up to observation deck for free(a $50 savings). Do make reservations so you can pick when to eat as this was the busiest restaurant we went to, most places there is no waiting but here there can be.
If you want an amazing view of the falls, then Skylon restaurant was it, but if you want good food, then you better go else where to eat. For the price of the buffet, the food was worse than terrible. Only 2 items i thought was good, and they were the prime rib and chow mein noodle. Crazy thing is the prime rib doesnt have the au jou sauce. Go figure. 1/2 of the machines in the arcade game room dont work. Extremely disappointing. The customers service was actually very nice... everyone is super nice and rather top notch customers service.
The food was good (Go there hungry because there are purchase minimums). The atmosphere is great with a nice views over the area and falls. The staff is amazing! A must do at LEAST once while you re in town.
6 of us went Thursday night for dinner. Getting up to the restaurant took about 20 mins as we waited for a few elevators before getting on. No big deal but get there 20 min prior to the reservation. The views are amazing and the revolving restaurant is cool. The service was very good and the servers were very attentive. We ordered the seafood pasta, lamb chops and salmon. The food was fine, but not what youd expect with the extremely high prices. The Bloody Caesars my daughter ordered were laughably small. Ive never seen a drink with such a small glass, let alone a Caesar. Be prepared for a photographer coming to your table, taking pics and coming back with the print trying to get you to buy it. We declined. If you dont plan on buying it, politely decline the pic. Good experience, definitely a one and done. For the price you can go to the finest restaurants in Niagara.
Really excellent experience and not as expensive as you might expect. Great waiters and good food with of course great views. Highly recommended.
We had a Wonderful dining experience. the Staff s are all amazing. We enjoyed the view. Also my friend and I found out that coming to see the top, just use the stairs back to Dining Hall as the queue at the very top is exhaustingly longer. Just go back down to dining level. They have the elevator 2 there and you will be down on time and not that much queue.
Not worth the price. The place needs some renovation but overall the atmosphere was good. However the food was terrible, served by a team of 3 that seemed bored and ready to go home. I got the seafood chowder which was thin with one piece of maybe crab, no clams, no lobster seen. Caesar salad was decent. But the scallop appetizer was the worst for the money. Seared? Not even close. The staff didnt notice I wasnt eating half of the food, they did their due diligence, but without personality or energy. I would not recommend this place.
Had dinner here 07/11/2024... Just skip the meal in the dining room.. Escargot was good.. all 3 of our Ribeyes were extremely tough, Highest temp was Med-Rare, 2 rare... chewy and inedible.. Veggies barely cooked... Overheard other diners having similar experiences..and. 4 other families on the team trip had bad meals also... TOURIST TRAP... the view is UNMATCHED!.. but just take the ride to the top and dont waste a dime on the food.
We went for the $55 Canadian dollar prefix dinner. It included a Caesar salad and mousse dessert (no other options). The Entree had 3 choices chicken, beef stroganoff or a prime rib. We had the stroganoff and the prime rib. The prime rib was good but the stroganoff was too salty. I would suggest getting the Prime rib, in fact that was what our waiter hinted at when he said there maybe no more stroganoff when we were at the 1st seating. There is a long wait for the elevator, since the same elevator is used for the Summit Buffet that does not revolve and the observation deck that also doesn t revolve. Although the food was just meh, the revolving aspect gave every table a great view. It will take 1hr to make a complete circle and you will probably spend more than 1 hrs eating and taking pictures. Because of this I would say this is a better choice than Summit Buffet, where you take your chances on where you are seated. A fellow hotel guest told me that they went to Summit Buffet and although the food wasn t bad for a buffet, you could probably stay home for better food buffet if you were looking for a good food quality. Also, the observation deck access is free for both restaurants customers. I saw some people buy the observation deck access at the tower and on the street walking towards the tower. It is not necessary. They won t refund you your money for this mistake. Just show your reservation to the front desk. The observation deck is dark, windy and cold. It s not worth going there just for the observation deck, when there are so many other places you can go for free to get the same view.
I strongly urge everyone to avoid Skylon Restaurant. Save your money and self-respect by not dining here. This place lacks both quality and professional staff. To top it off, they have the audacity to charge ten dollars for a simple glass of Coca-Cola. Its utterly ridiculous and a complete rip-off. Dont waste your time or money at this overpriced and poorly managed establishment.
Manager greeted us at elevator and we asked if there might be a table next to the window. He responded rudely, You have a lot of demands for a walk in! We were told there was dining availability and there was. The reception desk at the base of the tower sent us to the restaurant after she put us in the dining list. That attitude and tone ruined what could have been a great dining experience.
Delicious food and scenery. Helpful staff
I had a fantastic time food was great!!! Service amazing. Benny and mateo were great!! Very attentive. I had the early bird prefix menú it was great!! The drinks need to improve. I order a mojito and a martini they were tasteless. Overall I had a great experience! Fantastic vibes and views
Not cheap but worth it to me atlesst done or twice on my life. I cannot complain and most reviews here or 3.4 stars dont reflect my experience. I think it is worth it and Ill come back. The live pianno player was just lux. You get free to ride to the top and you can walk around the lookout after. Also if you time right you will see the fireworks from the view point or even your dinning table. Id you cant spend $500 for 4 people or 250 for 2, than dont go. Its 125 a person easy.
First and last the food was below average, McDonalds is better..seriously food wasnt good, it was hard to get a good seat and you feel rushed while eating, its an experience but not really worth it
we had window seats so we could enjoy the view and the ambiance was quite nice. However, we felt rushed despite the dining room was not full, service was partially ok, depending on the server. Food was a bit ok, some cooking problems with the main dishes but portions were generous. It is definitely not a distinguished restaurant, so they certainly do not reflect the prices as a big part of the price is for the view. Overall, we are a bit disappointed. I would recommend dining ONLY if you do want to eat with the very nice view.
Absolutely terrible. Seriously disappointed. Food is nasty
An awesome area with blossom of air and flower..mind enchanting..food and services are superb.
I wish that I tried another menu option. I ordered the salmon (Enchanted package). It was still good. Not my favorite meal. This was my second time here. Amazing experience.
Made reservations for 4 a couple of day before going. The liftman was polite and entertaining. Greeted and seated in short order. The view was spectacular, we were up beside the window, but the back row was elevated so they also had a great view. Brad and Zack looked after our needs. I felt sorry for them as there was a large rude group next to us. The meal was spectacular and as ordered. Three had the tenderloin tips and one had the prime rib. The dessert was light and fluffy, so good on a full belly. With 2 meals, 2 drinks and a good tip it was $190. Definitely a highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend. We did not go to the observation deck as we had done a full revolution and saw everything.
Worst dining experience. I travel a lot all around the world and this is the worst dine in I ve ever experienced. Certainly way worse than you d expect from an establishment like this. Service Servers extremely rude, unbothered and unprofessional. We were well aware about the $49 entree per person rule, but the staff was rude in communicating this when we decided to start off the evening with drinks and appetizers and one entree before ordering everything all at once. As vegetarian and gluten free options are limited, which we knew from looking at the menu in advance, I did expect better service in terms of accommodating food allergies considering the stipulated spend rule here. But forget accommodating, our server avoided us, just kept plates on our table passing by, not stopping to check in at all. Food The food was horrible. Definitely one of the worst meals I ve ever had. Too oily, flavorless, stale, funny smelling. We couldn t even finish anything we ordered apart from our wines. Total waste of money. View Similar if not better from observation deck. Windows dirty ruin the view. Ambiance The whole place is poorly ventilated, the smell of duck/seafood is too strong and nauseating especially if you re vegetarian/vegan. Advice Save your money. Go eat indian food instead. Lots of Indian restaurants in the area. Or literally anywhere else. If you got the money for here, do the helicopter tour instead for truly unbeatable view. Vegetarian options: Only one entree the zucchini noodles are vegan/vegetarian. However, they are just terrible. Dietary restrictions: they do not accommodate dietary restrictions or requirements.
Awesome food, awesome views, great service! Prime rib, French onion, soup, calamari, all excellent!
Food is not good. No taste
Blah Blah! We had reserved the restaurant with buffet at 7 p.m., arrived at 6:45 p.m. at the foot of the tower, we first queued for almost 30 minutes, once arrived at the restaurant we were herded like cattle into the tiny hall to wait a table becomes available, another 10 minute wait! Once our table was assigned we were quickly offered a drink. The view is great, provided you have a table that overlooks the outskirts! The service was very good, the waitress smiling and efficient, on the other hand its really a factory, the tables are on top of each other, there are a lot of people and the buffet is frankly not great. The salads are good, nothing to say but the rest is rather average for the price asked! Next time I wouldnt eat in this restaurant anymore, I would just enjoy the extraordinary view from the tower, there are much better restaurants elsewhere!
We decided to try this restaurant even though the majority of reviews weren t good, because we wanted the experience and traveled all the way from the US for my sister s birthday. We ordered two cocktails, the meatball appetizer, seafood chowder, seafood pasta, and NY strip. Everything LOOKED delicious, however the drinks were subpar for $16 each. I ve tried MUCH better at a regular old steakhouse, so that was disappointing and I started off the meal with low hopes. The meatballs tasted okay but were ice cold when they were brought to our table. I wanted to let the waiter know, but he had not come back to check on us the entire time until AFTER someone else delivered our entrees and we were almost FINISHED with the meal. We needed clean silverware and asked a staff member standing behind us at the bar, to which she responded you re gonna need to ask your server because I m busy doing something here. Well, if he had been present we would have. The seafood pasta was decent, but like other reviews stated, sauce was watery and shrimp was hard. The waiter was nonchalant and uninterested the entire time, and another lady ended up taking over for the majority of the time. Thankfully she was nice, but they both passed the table multiple times and never collected our dirty plates. At the end of the meal, the waiter came back with the check in his hand and did not say a word. We gave him our cards and he pulled out the card reader, collected our payments, and walked away without saying a single word. We were stunned by how underwhelmed we were with his service. The only good thing about the whole experience was honestly the complimentary bread and butter and the view, which wasn t even worth it. The food and drinks are not worth the price at all, and this place is hyped up for no reason because they certainly do NOT live up to the expectations. Spend your money and time elsewhere.
Straight up expensive airline food with a great view. Mains took over an hour to be served so we were starving
We were first timers and were BLOWN AWAY...breathtaking views, delicious food - my Cordon Bleu Chicken and my husbands ok stroganoff...delicious salad, fresh baguettes and butter, ok dessert. Drinks were VERY expensive...but we will never forget this anniversary! Especially after Maid of the Mist, the 3D 4D movie after dinner as well as the Observation Deck! Our elevator operator was super nice and very funny!!! Grateful!!
The restaurant definitely offers a great view of the falls, which of course comes with an expensive price tag, but I did not mind. Sadly, the food was extremely monotonous and much bland than what you could get at regular low- and mid- end steak restaurants. It was very meaty, and it made us unpleasantly full after dinner. Other things to note are: Subject to a 3% attraction and promotions fee. The minimum charge per guest is $49 Canadian. To receive a complimentary elevation to the dining room, a main course must be purchased. An 18% gratuity will be added to parties of 8 or more.
On vacation from Southern Illinois, we decided to try this restaurant for its view over Niagara Falls. Its a bit pricey, but youre paying for the view. I chose the seafood dish while my husband got the steak. The food was amazing, and the view was breathtaking. I did experience a little motion sickness if I looked out too long.
A unique experience. Spatial location. Excellent food, even though I thought it was touristy, the salmon and meat were of an excellent standard. A special lunch. Honest price, in line with the location. If you have a reservation at the restaurant in the tower, you dont pay for it, you can go up without a ticket, at the cash desks below they will give you the paper reservation to present to the lift operator. I hope to return to this magnificent place soon.
The view is amazing, but the food is below any standards. Steaks done wrong (in my two visits there I saw: raw instead of rare, rare instead of medium well, dry overcooked past well done instead of medium well). The garnishes are uninspired and poorly executed. Vegetables undercooked (broccoli so hard you d need a serrated knife to cut them). The rice was overcooked and tasted as if it was cooked in a supermarket bouillon cube. They promise you a fancy sounding sauce with your dish, and then what you get on a plate tastes like something poured out of a condiment bottle. The service is polite but you really feel like you re just a nuisance to them. You don t really feel welcome there. And it s like they re pretending it s fine dining but really everyone knows it isn t. This is based on two dinners I had there (one with 2 people one with 3 people). I will probably come back for the 360 view (which is probably the only reason why the business is still alive), but the quality of food rubs me the wrong way each time. Definitely don t go there for the food. Go there for the view if you have a 100 dollar per person to spend on mediocre food.
Mesmerizing view of the falls, the sunset and niagara region from the Skylon Tower revolving restaurant with fantastic food and service. Good choices of food and drinks provided for a restaurant so high up in the tower. Just loved it..
My wife and another couple had reservations at 8:00 p.m. at the skyline Tower for dinner. Although the ground floor check in process was confusing with the first person, the second person got us taken care of and we got on the elevator to go to the revolving dining room. We had asked for a window seat and we got one. We had two waiters who tag-teamed us and both of them were really great. The views were fantastic as we did 2 360 turns around the restaurant while viewing the falls and the falls area. We had drinks, salads, dinner, and dessert. I had the filet and my wife had the lobster and both were excellent. All portions were generous and I felt fairly priced for the location. Our only dissatisfaction with the evening was the amount of screaming children that seemed to surround us. There was one booth across from us where the children were all very well behaved. Unfortunately, that cant be said for other people who brought children way too young to be in a fine dining restaurant at 8:00 p.m. at night. Other than that, the evening was spectacular with the view, the service, and the food surpassing our expectations.
Summit buffet was bland and over priced for lack of selection. You are better off to pay for the observation deck than eating there. The view was good of the falls.
Go for the view.. the food . was not good and pricy because of the view.
The food was tasty but all of it was cold. We had a reservation for 8:30 but weren t seated until 9pm. We knew it would be a pricier dinner but $10 for a refillable pop and automatic tip of $15 added to my bill was NOT worth it. We were only a party of 2 and it was not very busy. The only good thing about the experience was the view.
Awesome view. Good food. Great staff. Had a great time Parking: Parking in niagara falls is just like Gatlinburg pay everytime lol Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult
Love the view
the worst the worst the worst, worst service and the servers were really rude and so much of an unprofessional service with tasteless food.. I went there on Dec 2022, service and food was good back then but the servers for June2024 evening were too unprofessional. The only good thing was restaurant revolves, rest everything 0/5.
Skip this one! Yes its a revolving Skytop restaurant with great views of the falls BUT there are many others that have better edible food and experienced waitstaff. Things started off well, wine, shrimp cocktail and escargot. Then it was over. Our waiter who said he had been there for 9 years was breaking in a young girl on her second shift. My wife ordered the veal and I the rack of lamb. Her chop was over 50 percent of fat. Its strange that the chef wouldnt have noticed that before cooking and serving. My rack of lamb had been sliced at a previous meal because there wasnt a drop of juice in the lamb. Both cuts were ordered medium rare. I have never in my dining years returned one meal LET ALONE BOTH MEALS. Our junior waitress was apologetic and it ended there. The experienced server NOR the manager ever approached us with an apology, free desert or kiss my butt. WOW. I know that you pack them in, but there are other restaurants with a view to spend your hard earned money on.
Disappointing gluten free options, in fact the GF menu was unintelligible and there was no GF bread at all! A disappointing visit with very expensive, mediocre food.
Restaurant at the top of a circle-shaped tower, which rotates on its axis... this way all guests will be able to enjoy an exceptional view of the waterfalls! Decent food and high prices, but here you pay for the location... at the end of dinner you can go up to the observatory to admire the waterfalls!
Worth a one-time experience. Wasnt busy when my family and I visited so we could sit a little longer or else the staff will eyeball you constantly. The food is a little pricey but this is NF so cant expect otherwise. Staff could certainly be a tad friendly or at least sport a hospitality gesture. Nonetheless, worth a visit. Do check the weather before though. Sipping on a pinot grigio with steak & seafood overseeing the Falls - perfect for a romantic getaway
Celebrating my husband birthday. Rose and Aleksander were amazing and make provided the best service ever.
Views and coolness of a spinning restaurant: 5 stars. Food: 4 stars. Pricing and overall service for the price 3.5 stars. The place is premo views of the falls and surrounding city. Cant be beat. Easy drive from the USA side and a cool elevator ride up. The food was pretty good, nothing over the top wow but no complaints either. My only problem with this restaurant is, on paper and location it wants to be a high end dining experience. But in functionality and reality it falls short. As someone who frequents higher end restaurants, this one prices itself as one, but doesnt have the high end restaurant feel and staff to back it up. And thats not to say its bad, I just wish it priced itself in the ball park its in, vs having $70 filets. With a true high end restaurant the staff is trained and performs in a certain way that was missing here. Having said that, they staff was good, just doesnt match the price point they are going for. Another thing that takes away from the experience of being a high end restaurant is the photographer coming by trying to sell you photos of your group. Youre already forced to go through a line of photo takers to get to the elevators, when your trying to enjoy what should be fine dining is not the time to do pressure a sale again. Maybe there is a less tacky way to go about it. A placard on your table that if you put out a photographer notices and will come by? Your server asking if youd like a photo vs. someone showing up with a camera telling you to pose? Plenty of other options. To conclude, for what it costs the service / high end atmosphere isnt there. Having said that, totally worth the trip, awesome view and good food. Just doesnt give a high end food, service and experience to match what they charge.
Went to the Tower to have Dinner. While the ride up was fast but terrifying. Id say this is a must do on ur trip. The Atmosphere was unmatched! The view unrivaled and spectacular! The food was good but I was expecting better flavor. Staff was fantastic and and very quick to help with anything you need. We even got a free piece of cheesecake for our anniversary.
Paula The Server Is A Queen!!
It was a celebration of my birthday. The atmosphere and view were amazing. Staff were excellent. I think food might be a little bit better. It is still worth to come and enjoy the evening. Food : 4/5
Beautiful view but outrageous prices for sub experience. Felt like cattle being herded to graze. Drinks took a while to get and food was good but not worth $260 for two apps 3 drinks on meal and a Caesar salad. Definitely go for the experience if you have the extra money to spend but if you re going to Clifton hill just eat on the strip or just off the strip . Food is better and more fun.
its a great experience but food was so so. seafood pasta sauce was a bit liquidy and my duck appetizer was not very good. onion soup was good tho
My second time visiting, and the food was *way* better than I remembered. I got the prime rib roast during early dinner ($55 w/ salad/dessert May 2024). The size and taste was good enough to justify its price before considering youre saving $20 on the elevator ride. Service was good, but the food did take quite a while (most of an hour) to come out. View was *amazing* and the revolving dining room was an extra cool experience.
Food was amazingggg!!! Service was a little shaky getting us seated initially, seemed like they overbooked themselves but overall amazing experience. Beautiful to see all of Niagara in the revolving tower!
Went here in May 2024. The view was amazing and the waitress provided great service. It was clean and the food was good.
Excellent food and presentation Good Service awesome views Food
Had a very memorable dinner here! Food was good, not fabulous, but really, aren t we coming for the view anyway? Drinks, appetizer and dessert were all good too! Could the food have been a notch better? Sure, but the view was definitely worth it! Very happy with our 7pm time too! Would definitely recommend it!
Excellent. Beautiful place to dine and see 360 degrees of the falls and the city
Came for my son birthday was nervous about the reviews this restaurant did not disappoint food was amazing great experience
Wow!!!
I don t usually post reviews but I m a bit disappointed by the service we got at this dining room. I honestly felt very rushed and not welcomed when eating there. I had just finished my last bite and the server directly offered if we wanted the bill or the dessert menu. This offer honestly shocked me coming from a supposedly distinguished restaurant. At this point my family and I have only sat at the table for 40 minutes (time limit was 90 minutes). One thing I found funny and confusing was how the server kept adding a rushed Okay thank you and left the table after every sentence (I have no clue what he was thanking me for). The food was okay. I ordered the Veal loin, Prime Rib, and Striploin. I think the Prime Rib was definitely worth ordering if you ever come here. The views are nice but you probably aren t missing anything if you just buy tickets to the observation deck because they do not guarantee window seating.
Average food. But the ambience and service is really good.
A great restaurant with good food, not great food. Priced like a 5 star restaurant but with 4 star food. Go for the experience and avoid a costly meal, since it may disappoint. Kid-friendliness: I wouldn t have a kids party here but kids will also enjoy the experience
Food was unimpressive. Expected better since they re quite pricey. The two lobsters I got were gummy. Pasta for our kid wasn t even tasty that he didn t finish it. Service was very slow. Place looks old and dilapidated. They even knew we were there to celebrate my birthday but it didn t even feel extra special. Can t even much appreciate the views with their dirt-stained glass windows. Got to the observation deck for free but that too was blah. It s definitely no CN Tower.
Amazing view, wish the food was better for the price paid. Early dinner 430pm for 3 and drinks total with tax and tips, about C$260 Excellent service staff, Salmon and stuffed chicken were the best, meat not great, dessert was a bit of a cake dough at the bottom, covered with foam, does not deserve its fancy name. Wine was very good. Includes free ride up the elevator to observation deck.
This is certainly a tourist trap and not worth going to. 1) Incredibly expensive - kids meals are $26, even for spaghetti; Caesar salad with chicken is $39. Just nuts. 2) Whole service staff is friendly, food service is very slow. We arrived at 12 noon and didn t get our food until after 1 pm. 3) Food wasn t particular good. Burgers have to be cooked well-done; salmon dry; steak dry. 4) Easy to get a little nauseous and lose your appetite. Views are good but you can get that from a dozen different places in town, including most hotels. Just not worth it.
Excellent service and very good food with an incredible view. Have also dined in the tower hotel and this was so much better in every way. Recommend leaving extra time to get into the restaurant on time, as the process of waiting for elevators took longer than expected. Food
we booked for 6.30 in October we were up the tower for sunset. it was magical . food was great a bit pricey but only going once in a lifetime. our table was ours untill we left at 9.30. a simple must do on your visit list. its free to go up to the top when you have a booking
Nice day to go flying and dinner @ skylon tower
Pretty disappointing experience all around. We had reservations but they still made us wait almost 30 minutes to seat us. There are no seats to sit in while you wait to be seated. They got the meat temperature wrong on 3 different orders. Ignored a stated allergy we told them about at the beginning of the meal. The food was only average at best. The wait staff was very inattentive. Overall nowhere close to worth what we spent. The view is great but considering the required minimum per person spend, you re better off just paying to go up to the observation deck without the meal.
Had the salmon and my friend had the stroganoff. The stroganoff was nothing to write home about as the meat was tough, sauce was bland, and the choice of having peppers in it was a bit off-putting. However the salmon was excellent with the light flavor of hollandaise, and a very good portion. It was a bit disappointing that they didn t have the sweet potato mash and green beans with my dish that I saw in recent photos. Instead there was an under seasoned piece of broccoli and two round potatoes. Views were spectacular, and the revolving feature is what really made the whole experience. Overall, despite somewhat lackluster food, my friend and I had a great time!
This whole restaurant is a scheme to get you in the door and then up charge you, there is a forced tip, a minimum per person, and you are required to get a main course per person in addition to the minimum, and the cheapest meal is about $55 CAD, that being said the experience is neat and the view is amazing, if you are planning on eating here for a great meal, think again, but if you re wanting the experience of going up and sitting in a revolving dining room, go for it! I
Really great experience! Prix fixe menu is a good deal, booked the reservation online and after dinner was able to go up on the tower. Food : 4/5
Amazing dining experience! Absolutely incredible views of the falls. If you visit Niagra Falls, whether on the American or Canadian side, having dinner here will definitely complete the Falls experience. We made reservations weeks in advance with the request for a window seat, which we got. I would highly recommend doing the same. The restaurant is huge and was very busy, even on a Thursday evening in early April. Even so, once we got out of the elevator, we were seated pretty quickly, and almost immediately, our waitress greeted us, explained the menu, and took our drink orders. We got our drinks pretty quickly, even with half of them coming from the bar (a martini and an old fashioned). When she delivered our drinks, she took our food order. The food came out relatively quickly, less than 10-15 minutes, considering how busy the place was. The food was great. All four of us in our party were very satisfied. Good sized portions, perfectly cooked, tasty, and hot. I absolutely loved my steak. One teen son got a steak and it was gone in no time, so I assume he liked it too. The other teen son got the veal steak and wiped that out quickly as well, said it made him love veal and want it more often. My wife got the Chilean sea bass and said it was one of the best shes ever had. My wife and I also got a glass of wine with our main courses, and all four of us got desserts after dinner, too. Their creme brule is excellent! Now, granted, you will pay a lot for the view and dining experience. This was one of the more expensive dinners, but since it was a family vacation and our anniversary, it was so worth it. The wait staff is absolutely incredible - prompt, knowledgeable, courteous, and on-point. The facilities are immaculate. Despite it being very busy and a bit on the loud side, the atmosphere is one that could support a variety of occasions - romantic, family, or business. If youre in the falls area, you owe it to yourself to go here. So worth it.
Loved my first visit to the Skylon Revolving Restaurant in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The filet mignon was done to perfection; falling apart tender with the nice compliment sides. The Ontario wines were very nice and complimented each course wonderfully. The service was professional, approachable, welcoming and informative. The prices are reasonable for the quality and presentation of each course, and budget for a nice not-every-day experience: a nice location for a special occasion or one-time visit. The revolve is slow and plaques along the windows provided interesting tidbits of Niagara Falls history and trivia. There is no charge to ride to the top if you have a reservation... I recommend booking in advance and request a window-side table. However, all tables offer great views. I will visit again. It would be nice if there was a drinks lounge to grab a beverage and snack with a view from the floor to ceiling windows. Lots of parking, also walkable from the Fallsview hotel/casino area or via the WEGO Blue Line. Enjoy!
Extremely expensive dishes. The view is great.
Definitely a unique dining experience in Niagara Falls. However the food isnt good at all for the price you pay. Youre basically paying for subpar food for 4 star restaurant prices. The money is really for the dining experience on a 360° rotating view of Niagara. Youre better off paying just to go on top at the observation deck. Theres no tourist trap like others mentioned. You can easily decline the photo. Nothing is free in this world so its your fault if you assume things are free. Food can be improved on quality as mine didnt come hot or flavourful compared to similar food restaurants. Service was good as it wasnt busy. Cocktails were well mixed so shootout to the bartender. Parking: Paid parking. Can be full at high season but relatively easy to park in low season.
Great view, but dirty windows and some bugs by the window sills, service is average compared to the price point, food however is dreadful compared to the price they charge
This place is a scheme to take your money. The food is just not good. Tastes like reheated frozen food. The view is great but they will force you to take pictures, and you have to pay a minimum in the dining room of one entree so you re looking at $110 CAD at the least to eat.
Food was very average, the view is beautiful and the service was good.
The definition of a tourist trap. You have a great view IF you are against the windows, but average at best if you re not. However, the view is pretty much everything there is to experience here. The staff organization failed to impress me as we waited quite a long time between our dishes, so much that other tables that came after us finished well before us. Additionally, if you are the lucky one to get a table near one of the several dishes disposal areas, boy are you going to suffer. Cling!Clang! Every few minutes or so, right in your ears. They will not even try to be quiet about it. You really feel that the moto of the staff here is Volume, Volume, Volume! The food is not bad, but really average and definitely sub par for this price tag; definitely not a gastronomic experience. To summarize, a hight price tag but very little to justify it.
I went there in November for 2022 it was an okay experience. I told my server that I m vegetarian and I was recommended the chowder. I m fully aware chowder has clams in it but server said I should go with that option as French onion had beef broth in it. I trusted his judgement and throught maybe they have a vegetarian friendly chowder since I had mentioned my dietary preference but I was served seafood chowder. I was disappointed but they replaced it for me and took it out of my cheque which is appreciated. Overall the other food we tried was sub-par as best. One time visit sort of a spot. Views were good tho.
The view was absolutely amazing, the staff was awesome. The food was flavorless, overpriced, and undercooked. There were also very loud and obnoxious children whose menus, food, and table contents ended up on our table after being thrown, dropped, or placed there. Neither the parents of the children or staff did anything about this I am not unreasonable in understanding kids will be kids but I paid nearly $200 dollars for 2 meals and 2 drinks and neither the food of atmosphere was good.
Highly recommended, I can think of no finer place to enjoy a meal while at Niagara Falls!
Amazing food, great service and elevator operator was a certified comedian like seriously give him a raise his name was tierell I believe (sorry if I spelled it wrong) Vegetarian options: Not as much vegan options Parking: 25$ parking
Food was decent, service was good. It was disappointing to see lots of families bringing young noisy kids and the staff playing pop music over the speakers. Was hoping for a more upscale and formal dining experience considering the price. Be sure to arrive at least 20 minutes early as there is a line for the elevator.
Tom and Josh were amazing servers. They went above and beyond to make sure our experience was five star worthy. Great food and even better views!
The view was stunning, came here for my boyfriends birthday and would return. The food was great with lots of flavour (ordered the chicken breast) and the Apple pie was delicious and Im not a apple pie person. The waiters were amazing, very friendly and made myself and my family feel comfortable went as far as giving my toddler free dessert which was appreciated. Overall we had an amazing experience and would recommend this restaurant, everyones experience is different so Id say give it a try and if you dont like it then you know based off of experience to never return. Thank you Sylon Tower Revolving Dining Room for the wonderful experience.
What a great experience! We are a bit fussy when it comes to eating out so we choose our restaurants carefully after reviewing many reviews. We ignore the odd bad reviews. Our roast beef dinner was cooked to perfection and the Skylon red wine was a great choice. We had a 5 pm booking and we were offered a 3 course special for $55 - with several options to choose from. Chloe and Tom served us and were friendly and professional. The elevator guy topped it all off....he was hilariously entertaining for the 45 second ride!
Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room offers a unique dining experience with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The rotating restaurant provides a constantly changing panorama, adding to the ambiance. The food is decent, but its the view that steals the show. However, the service could be improved, as it can be a bit slow at times. Overall, its worth a visit for the view alone.
Friendly staff. Great view of the Niagara Falls. The food was horrible. The Tortellini Alfredo didnt taste like anything at all. If you serve this to an Italian, he would kill himself on the spot.
Spectacular view of the falls. Good service. Food was not at all good IMO...rubber chicken. Youre paying $$$$ for a view of the falls and Niagara Falls city from up on high.
So the whole dining room was in motion, spinning around slowly for you to have a 360 degree view of the city, which was very nice. What you didn t expect, was their tourist trap photographer that just kept asking to take photos of you, printed it out (yeah, weird) and asking you to pay CAD $30 a piece. Since they already printed out, what do you expect, as you wouldn t want random people to be the owner of your photo, right? Never seen such an easy sales like that before this! Their foods were so so, we were not impressed. But the portions were huge!!!! After dinner, you can go a floor above to go outside and have a better look at the fall.
Absolutely awful experience. I came here for my birthday with my boyfriend and as we were eating the servers were talking bad about customers right in front of us. The food was AWFUL. and to make things worse they kept giving us dirty looks, overall the food was bad and overpriced, servers were rude and unprofessional and the overall experience was a complete letdown, do not go here it is a complete waste of time and money.
Food was very mediocre, the service and atmosphere carried the experience.
Tom and adam were great servers we weren t coming here cause of the reviews but we were very surprised by everything. Side note that some servers are uneducated about the Australian lamb but it is halal and the only halal meat option.
Way too below average experience than what I could imagine it was totally waste of money to go up and look at the view..Trust me the CN tower in Toronto is much better experience. Would say when you have absolutely nothing to do is when come here to spent 40-50mins of your time in Niagara else it s not worth it.
