I randomly dropped by this restaurant and absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food! Zorawar was incredibly friendly and ensured everything was perfect. Definitely coming back to Niagara to be at Guru’s😌
I travel 30 hours to be in Niagara Falls. Here's the First ever Indian Cuisine in Niagara Falls. You guys really need to tried it out. Turns out they are here since 2003 more than 20 years. The taste is so amazingly authentic and hit the spot on the palate. We tried chicken tika masala and chicken briyani, really really satisfying. The chicken is soft and juicy, the spices are just right. The owner share her kind inspiring story and kind server that help us to pick the menu. Hope to come back again in the future.
Our Indian friends from Toronto recommended this as a place to get authentic Indian food. Their recommendation was spot on. The food was great, and very authentic, based on our experience traveling in India. If you’re used to Indian food in USA, this will generally be less creamy with more complex spices. If you go in with that expectation, you will be very pleased! The food and service were great! I read the reviews before going here, and the low score concerned me, but upon reading the reviews, most of the complaints were about pricing or a service fee. For a tourist area, the pricing seemed very reasonable to me, considering the quality of the food. Also, the pricing was not much higher than in Toronto itself, and most restaurants I’ve visited in Toronto also include a service fee. So, take the prior reviews with a grain of salt, and give this place a chance for some great Indian food!
We had a great experience here while visiting niagra falls. This is excellent food in a very touristic location. We had butter chicken, vegetable momos, baingan matar and gulab jamun. The rice and naan are al a carte and I thought the naan was so good. The food was delicious and the service was great. I would highly recommend.
We ordered ;pani puri, daal makani, butter chicken, chicken biryani, banghan bharta, butter naan and tandoori rotis. Banghan didn’t have much of Taste of the actual eggplant and daal didn’t really have the butter like it’s suppose to. We enjoyed the biryani, a little spicy but was good and pani puri was good too. We also ordered the mango shake which was really good
We’ve been coming to Niagara Falls for years, and every single time we make sure to either have lunch or dinner at Guru. The food is absolutely delicious, with large portions that always leave us satisfied. The restaurant has a very welcoming vibe, and they play beautiful Indian music that adds to the experience. Everything about this place is just great! I personally don’t usually like lamb, but Guru is the only place where I always order the lamb biryani because it’s so incredibly tasty. They cook it perfectly, and it never has that gamey taste. I always joke with my friends that we come here for the food, and sometimes we manage to see Niagara Falls too! 😂😂😂 Definitely a must-visit!😉
The food was delicious, and it’s clear why this restaurant has its reputation. However, the service was questionable. We were sat at a dirty table, and had to ask for spilled rice and water to be cleared from our table. Tips were also added by the manager without showing us when we paid, leaving me in the dark about what % amount was even added to our final bill, or whether the employees are even receiving the tips. As much as I would have loved to enjoy this food, the experience left a bad taste.
Recently we had the opportunity to dine at The Guru Restaurant. However, we must say that our experience fell short of expectations. Firstly, the food was not up to par with the prices charged. The quality and taste of the dishes did not justify the high rates, which was quite disappointing. Furthermore, to our surprise, we discovered that gratuity had been added to our bill without our knowledge i.e.12 dollar. It's important for restaurants to be transparent about additional charges and inform customers in advance. Although the service at were also not satisfactory, very rude behaviour of the staff. We cannot overlook the disappointing aspects of our dining experience. We hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the restaurant to improve its offerings and communication with customers.
Everything is so good.
Good food and specially chicken achari is best food.
The attedant name (khushi) was to good and welcoming
The food at Gurus is always amazing whenever we visit Niagara Falls we always eat here no restaurant at the falls can beat their taste..always fresh and yummy .I highly recommend this restuarant
The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly. This transported me back to proper Indian style food. Would love to travel back to Niagara just for this!!!!!
I only like coke rest of everything is not fresh
The food was so delicious. Chicken curry and garlic naan, it tastes like home. Great service by khushi. We ll come again
Very good food. Must recommend and ambience nice
Had the chicken tikka masala and briyani chicken. It was really good! Im from Malaysia and we have alot of Indian food but this is probably one of the better ones I ever had
Food and service is excellent!
Food quality and portion is garbage !! Fish is just a name, its just batter. Spend almost 89$ and the quality was 1/10 Other restaurant options much better than this. Not recommended Total waste of money. A simple tawa roti is 5$ Its a rip off. Got from a restaurant nearby for 2.99$
Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Halal Parking: Find local parking lot and walk. Kid-friendliness: For non-indian taste buds, no kid friendly food options. Friendly environment though.
If you re looking for Indian cuisine in Niagara Falls THE GURU is the restaurant for fine dine with family and friends. We went on Wednesday night for my daughters birthday and the owner made us so special bringing desert with candle and play birthday music for my daughter which is very special for us. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was cooked to perfection. They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. I especially loved the creative twists on classic dishes. Service was very excellent and server was very polite and kind. Chef recognition: Youve done a great job Your cooking has really brought out all the many flavors.
Do visit, the taste is amazing Vegetarian options: Chole bhatire Food : 5/5 |
Authentic Indian cuisine. Great service, atmosphere and the food was very tasty.
both food and the service were wonderful!
Fantastic food @ Guru restaurant, Niagara Falls.
Best biryani in Niagara
Whenever I visit Niagara, this is my another place of visit. Taste is always delicious. One of the best Indian Hotel at Niagara.
We went to the Guru restaurant and it was very good! Service was very friendly. I loved the chicken tikka masala.
I recently dined at The Guru Fine Indian Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. The menu offers a delightful mix of innovative dishes and classic favorites. Highly recommended.
Perfect Lunch Time food .. Delicious and enjoyed..!! Vegetarian options: Good vegetarians options in menu .. Food : 5/5 |
The food was not good at all. The service was ok. They added gratuity beforehand in the bill. Edited : I informed the server about it, and his response was standing silent as he was speechless on what to say.
Washroom is unhygienic or worst quantity is very low and apart from that they deducted their service tip themselve that is 11$ that quite mean without telling us.. worst restaurant in Niagara ..
Just removing my review in support of local businesses , hope that you guys will do as promised,
Worst and unhygienic experience.. I would prefer not to waste money over here
Food was good and service was good too.
The quantity of food is very less and washroom is very unhygienic. They charged 11$ extra without any reason . I would prefer not to waste money over here. This is the worst restaurant in the Niagara region.
The food here tasted like it had been sitting out for days. Every dish felt stale and lifeless, as if the ingredients were past their prime. The portions were small, but honestly, that was a relief because the little I did try was barely edible. Even the simplest items lacked flavor and freshness. It was like eating reheated leftovers from a week ago. I left feeling completely disappointed and wondering how this place stays in business serving food this terrible. Owner behaviour is very rude and but the girl khusboo was innocent she apologised alot of times but on other side owner mary i am not sure about her name but was very rude i dont suggest any one to visit there. its just waste of money.
I recently ordered catering from Guru for the second time, and once again, they exceeded my expectations. Finding high-quality Indian food in Niagara that compares to Brampton or Mississauga is a challenge, but Guru is consistently on par. They re incredibly easy to work with, and their prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area. The dishes everyone raved about included the Baingan Bharta, which had a perfect smoky flavor; the Chicken Tikka appetizer, which was succulent and delicious; and the Lamb Curry, which was tender and flavorful. I highly recommend Guru for anyone looking for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine in Niagara.
I was visiting Niagara Falls with my family for the day. We had dinner at the restaurant and my family loved the food , it was very tasty and not too expensive. Definitely recommended!
Amazing food and amazing service, they have really great whiskey, brass knuckles whiskey ,best whiskey I ever tried
Best Indian restaurant in Niagara
We used to visit this place 13 years ago, between 2009 and 2013, and we loved the food and service then. Today, we had lunch here, and the experience was just as fantastic as it was back in 2009. The food remains amazing, and Joraver, who served us, was incredibly friendly and kind. If you re on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, don t miss out on trying the food here you won t be disappointed.
Vegetarian options: Jain Food available Dietary restrictions: Awesome Food Food : 5/5 |
Good food and zoravars service was amazing
I took my father first time to Niagara and wanted to make it perfect day for him, going to this restaurant was the best choice. Loved the food and the clam atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Aloo-kulcha and chaap wrap and many more !
Served by khushi absolutely good food and service
Good food and food customer service. The food was served quickly.
We loved our family time with yummy and fresh food here during our Niagara visit and received nice and pleasant hospitality from KHUSHI.
Good food , good vibes .
Awesome food, great chilly paneer and tandoori malai tikka.
Great food, good appetizers! You should definitely try this place.
Very nice must try.
Good food good ambience
Best food in niagara
Pretty good
Food was delicious, the atmosphere is warm, and the server was friendly and thorough. Will definitely return.
Great quality of food. Also very appreciated them slightly modifying the one dish for me so I could enjoy it. Will be back
Succulent!!
I really enjoyed the food and the service was great!
Very good food.
One of the best place for indian food and far better then rajdhani according to my experience. Only Moong dal halwa was below average . Moreover price is higher than other. Food
Great place great food Vegetarian options: Good veg options Food : 5/5 |
Zora was very hospitable and provided great service. The food was very delicious.
The food is always really good! Service is great!
Have to try their dahi puri chaat...
The food was really good.

Service was very good. Food also delicious
Awesome indian food with delicious taste. We visit every single time upon coming to Niagara falls from Toronto. Food
The food was amazing and the wait staff is curtious.
Khushi was so welcoming and kind. Food is good as well
Food is very tasty. Khushi serve us very nicely and politely.
Best Indian food in niagara falls
Best naan Ive ever had. All the dishes we had were flavourful, and with fast, friendly service
The quantity of food is extremely less. It s 17 dollars per curry which is okay, but the quantity is not even a full bowl. Extremely bad.
Open late and excellent authentic indian cuisine! Get the garlic nan! Try one of the appetizers! They are all good! Come and enjoy! Late night option is amazing!
Indian food restaurant near Niagara Falls: portions are fair to small but extremely tasty. We would have liked the menu to specify the level of spiciness or to have warned us since everything was extremely spicy. Good variety on the menu and something very positive is that they have GLUTEN FREE options. They have long hours and very good attention. Good prices. I recommend.
The food tastes and quality is wonderful. No trip to Niagara is complete without having a meal at Guru. Thank you for always serving great food. Highly recommended
I recently visited Guru at Niagara Falls and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The food was overly spiced and lacked balance, making it quite unpleasant. I tried the pani puri, which was excessively sour and not enjoyable at all. Additionally, gratuity was automatically added to the bill for just two people, which felt unnecessary. On a positive note, the servers were friendly and attentive, but unfortunately, the quality of the food overshadowed the service. I hope the restaurant can improve its dishes in the future.
I used to love their food but last their quality has degraded way too much! My friends told me it s not the same anymore but I still trusted it for my birthday. THE TANDOORI ROTI HAD PLASTIC WRAPPER PIECE IN IT!!! The roti was undercooked. The momos were mot editable, we had to ask them to take it off the table. For everything all they had to say was we are really sorry . I shouldn t have been surprised why the restaurant didn t have rush on a Saturday evening! I believe there are better restaurants in Niagara.
The gurus was a great experience. We had a dinner with our family and surprisingly everyone enjoyed their food allot, as per my opinion the food was pure authentic and 100% tastes like homemade food that the beauty of this restaurant. I will definitely recommend this place. Aunty ji was awesome it was feels like home not like a resturent. Vegetarian options: Paneer bhurji on demand
Food was excellent and service is great
The food was delicious and very generous portion.
From 2009, whenever we go to Niagara Falls. We take dinner here. Love the quick service and delicious food here!! Be assured that you will be greeted by friendly staff anytime of the day whether it s your first meal of the day at 11 am or a late night.
This restaurant only makes money never go due to they changes price portion of food very less .i have to put star but they dont deserve .veg biryani comes with raita they took charge 5 cad separately in the last they put gratuity as a we were two people one time service I recommend dont go this restaurant.our bill was 20 cad extra .Beware
Very slow service, rajdhani next neighbours has better services, if you order dal and naan then naan will come first, when naan become hard then they deliver daal , kha Lao hun , this thing happened second time , will never come back here ,
We recently dined at Guru for dinner (family of 4) and can say it was a complete disappointment. The food was very average, no salt but tons of masala just thrown into the food. For the quality of food served, the prices were quite high. Furthermore, like other reviewers mentioned, they added gratuity at their own discretion without informing us. There is no mention of this through out their restaurant and a complete surprise at the end. VERY SNEAKY. The server asks you to pay at the front counter where I believe the owner/manager is sitting and tells you what to pay. She did not even bother to mention or give me the bill. I had to ask her if I can see the bill before making the payment. Very unprofessional and sneaky. Washrooms are disgusting! Overall, bad experience, I will not be returning and will caution others to not choose this place. There are far better restaurants that offer better food and transparency. To the owner: Why dont you address the surprise gratuity charge??? Youre addressing the bad service, food quality, etc but nothing to say about your sneaky behaviour? Shame on you!
I went with my husband, The old receptionist Lady was very rude, she doesnt have the business skills ..very disappointed and unprofessional behaviour .. She should have mind her tone & language
I should have read the reviews before going in so partially my fault. Really small portions but really high prices. Food was average, they made it spicy without even asking us spice level. They added gratuity without even notifying but I have seen some other restaurants running this scam as well. They just charge your credit card without ever showing you the bill upfront. I wonder how long they can run this scam for. Service was poor, kids were waiting for their food longer.
It s my 5th time , I have visited , servers are always warm and nice , yesterday I had tried mutton biryani ( disappointed because no rains) , but I understand, everything is expensive nowadays , I loved biryani because no spicy ( some place served with strong test including spices ) , we ordered Laccha paratha too , it was fresh and testy . Don t hesitate to visit ,
To our surprise, gratuity was added to our bill without our knowledge. Its important for restaurants to be transparent about additional charges and inform customers in advance. If the service would have been good, i would have tipped happily, but it was average and then adding this extra to our bill was really unfair, i wish i would have seen the reviews before going there.
My kids favourite guru butter chicken and naan. Must try.
My friend visiting me from Ottawa and we want to spend the night in Niagara. We found this Indian cozy res. I was hesitant because of the low rate but through the windows, we found people sitting and enjoying themselves and we took the chance. As soon as we entered, I approved right away, they were smiling and welcoming, and the atmosphere was amazing family-friendly vibes. We had the best mango lassi and veggie pakora with butter chicken curry, naan, and rice. The food was excellent and delicious I would come back again
Very delicious food and excellent service.
Phew the menu for two, excellent but very spicy. For good eaters given the quantity Delicious and typical Indian restaurant atmosphere.
Amazing experience and authentic Indian food. I felt I was at home! Anisha and team are incredible with hospitality. I loved the paneer makhini with garlic naan. Desserts are also super tasty. I loved the paan kulfi! This is a must visit! It s the oldest and the best in Clifton hill. Just walking distance from the falls. Came all the way from Cali!
Food was very good- one of the best we have ever had. We came from New Jersey and were crazing dal makhani, butter chicken garlic naan and chicken tikka! We had the fresh lime soda and paan kulfi. Be sure come here on your trip to Niagara, it is by far the best Indian restaurant in Niagara!
We have been coming to Niagara Falls for years and we ALWAYS stop by Guru. The food is amazing, my favorites are the Dal Makhani, bindi, and mango shake. The rasmalai was the best rasmalai I have even had. Great ambiance and great service as well. Highly recommend, this is the best Indian restaurant in Clifton Hill!
Blocked washrooms and overcharged price. Hidden charges* Food
its amazing
Stumbled upon The Guru when searching for *halal eating places near me* and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and its now my favorite Indian restaurant near Niagara Falls, Ontario
One of the yummiest Indian food place I have been to recently. I am not an eat outside person . And specially Indian food. But this was great. 5 stars. Only downside , the washrooms really need a makeover and be cleaner
Vegetarian options: Kadai paneer was delicious Food
Horrible food.. horrible customer service
Near niagara falls Good for people looking for Indian cuisine Not crowded when we visited Pleanty of seating space Food and Service was ok
Expensive & very low quantity of food. 15% mandatory Gratitude Tip for what ?
The lady at the front is rude. She did not have sense to speak to customers. I wish I could give zero stars. Improve your service and treat people with manners. Do not spend your hard earned money at this restaurant.
ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANT
The Guru truly lives up to being one of the best Indian restaurants Niagara Falls Ontario.
If you are looking for the best Indian restaurant near Niagara falls the Guru should be the top of your list
I would give negative stars if I can. I went there with my family. I wasn t expecting anything spectacular but didn t expect this worse. Firstly, the utensils looked to be not washed properly. I had to clean mine with water. We ordered a lot of food and none of them tasted even mildly better. We had a group of 8 and Two people in our group had food poisoning and was sick all night vomiting. We also found hair in my friends food. It was disgusting to eat. Fyi I have high tolerance and dont easily get upset. Sooo please visit this place at your own Discretion. P.s it was a hefty bill. What for?
Go to this place at your own risk. Spend your money wisely but not here. Do not trust any of the good reviews, as it is fake reviews. None of the food tastes good or even edible. After we ordered I had no choice but to eat when I was going to take my first bite I found a very long piece of hair tangled up with the food on my unsanitary plate. My friend had gone to the washroom wanting to wash her hands came out disgusted with strong smell of pee all over the floor. We paid a very big amount of money for awful food. Never go to this place and spoil your mood as there a very high chance of being depressed. If I could I would not even rate this place a 1 star restaurant.
Food is average, quantity is little, if you charging $16 for a curry atleast two people should be able to eat it, sweet lassi taste bad, $4 gratuity added without knowlowdge, and then they said its written on in fine prints Food
Dining at this restaurant was not pleasant. Starting with the utensils; got served dirty utensils and had to clean them with water and tissue. We ordered chicken momos but got Costco frozen dumplings sautéd in a mediocre tomato sauce. The dumplings were soggy and raw and upon informing the server about it nothing was done about it. The Naan was thin and crunchy, the biryani was sour. Overall not a good experience and definitely not worth the bill. Save your money.
Finest dinning establishment
Very Good food. Ones who are craving for good Indian cuisine at Niagra falls must visit this place. Must try their masala chai, chicken tikka masala and butter chicken .
Me and my wife went to this place in 2022 for the first time when we visited Niagara, and we had a fantastic experience. I convinced her again to goto the same place again which she agreed reluctantly seeing the reviews of the place. Guess what? WORST experience ever. There was only one waiter(curly hair with spectacles) serving 4 to 5 tables who didn t look like he is willing work. Was annoyed to serve whenever we ask something. Ordered Chana bhatura, which was at room temperature not even warm. Food was not so good, taste can be improved. Chairs wasn t cleaned, some spills were on the chair. Giving it 1 star for the attitude.
Found this cozy spot on a whim, and loved it! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner. The butter chicken was creamy and flavorful, and the naan was fresh and fluffy. Definitely recommend!
The Guru offers delicious Indian food at a very reasonable price. The portions are generous, and the quality is always good. Its a great option for a casual meal out.
Love the Butter chicken and the Garlic Naan s here. All the staff members are very polite. Must visit if you are in the falls area.
I found ambience very polite and all were so helpful
Food was amazing. It completed our trip to Niagra falls. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for Indian cuisine in Niagra falls.
Everything was really good auntie treated us and also gave us complimentary sweets it was really good over here recommended
The food was tasty and upto the par. Even when they were closing, they still decided to serve us fresh hot food. They also gave us complementary gulab jamun at the end.
Great service highly recommended
Just love the food i have been here for three years and I do come here every time when I visit Niagara. I would recommend everyone to whoever is visiting Niagara it is indeed the best Indian food!
The Guru Fine Indian Cuisine is a fantastic spot! The warm vibe and delicious food make it a must-visit. I especially appreciate the vegan options and the cozy setting, complete with a fireplace.
Vegetarian options: We had paneer masala, dal makhani, aloo paratha, and in desert, we had cassava ice cream. Everything was delicious. Food
Initially, we were expecting good food but after its not even worth it :(
Loved the food and quality. Must try their Dal makhani .... rich in flavour
Awesome food. Good service, friendly.
Food and service - both were good. They charged us gratitude of 15% without informing, didnt see this mentioned anywhere in the restaurant. The waiter didnt get us the bill, instead asked us to go to the counter to the manager. The manager typed the amount on the credit card machine, and we paid. Got the receipt only after payment was done. Hindsight, this looks the way they include these charges without giving the customer a chance to oppose or question. The 15% is reasonable for the service, but the should be the customers discretion.
GURU has been Amazing since the first Time we started eating There since at least 20 Years or so. The Service is Great! DAL MAKHANI is Amazing! Don t forget to order the Butter Naan! The Vegetarian Platter for Two is So Worth having! I have eaten a lot of food from Indian Restaurants, and GURU has to be the Best Indian Restaurant in Niagara Falls, and Definitely one of the Best in the World! Anita Aunty and Her Daughter Anisha are so Nice! Anyone visiting Niagara Falls should eat at Guru (like some Celebrities have)! My Parents and I live in Michigan, and I often compare the food of other places, and mention that the food is not as good as the food at GURU. Roaming Punjabi (Pawan Parkash Janveja) approves the Vegetarian Food! I would have given 10 Stars, but the rating only goes up to 5 Stars. Thank You Anita Aunty for the Great Hospitality! We will be back! Vegetarian options: Get the Vegetarian Platter! DAL MAKHANI is Amazing!
The food was delicious. Everything is up to the mark. Good experience.
This restaurant sells the best Indian food in Canada!
Takeout. Would come again. Butterchicken & chicken korma were spot on and plentyful. Garlic naan and lassie awesome. Decent prizing and very pleasant staff.
Best Indian food ever tasted!!! Best customer service
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!
I recently visited [Guru Restaurant ], and while the food was decent, my experience was marred by an unexpected and unauthorized charge. Here are the key points: 1 Surprise Gratuity Charge: When the bill arrived, I was shocked to see an automatic gratuity of 20% added without any prior notice or consent. There was no mention of this policy on the menu or by the staff. 2 Lack of Transparency: I believe that any additional charges, especially gratuity, should be clearly communicated to the customers beforehand. The lack of transparency felt deceptive and unprofessional. 3 Response from Staff: When I questioned the charge, the staff was dismissive and unhelpful. They insisted it was standard practice, but couldnt explain why it wasnt mentioned anywhere. If You are planning to visit this restaurant then get ready to pay 20% on the total bill without your consent!
Spicy and delicious.
Last night we had dinner at this place. This restaurant is supper expensive with really low quality food. I would have rated zero stars if possible. Never go to this restaurant.
Amazing place! The best and most delicious food I have eaten in a long time. The lamb biryani was extra delicious and the chicken tikka with butter naan is exactly what we needed after our long travel. We were stuck at the border and the restaurant was closing, the owner was kind enough to deliver it to our hotel, waiting for us when we got there. Thank you guys, ur service is outstanding. I hope and wish you more success and more happy customers! Oh also, don t forget their mango lassi, no regrets !!!
This place has degraded a lot over the years. The food was not at par, and the servings were very shrinkflated. Not to mention, the bathrooms were disgusting.
Didn t eat here but it looks nice place to eat.
This place was amazing! Me and my friends came across this place on vacation a long time ago, so I m not sure if anything has changed or not, but we still talk about it all these years later! The Guru!! More like the Greatest!!
Worst food, we ordered dahi bhalla and dahiii was stale and golgappa plate was also nasty and added tip the bill without even asking.
Few issues do not go here with family The owner moved us from our seat and was arguing to sit at a smaller table we were 5 people. 5 people had to sit on a 4 seater and 5th had to sit on the side what if a server drops food on the person and its hot food who will be responsible? How can u argue to and do that? Food has gotten worse now dal and nan were old old had a strange taste. You have more restaurant that have opened around they need to get there act together before you lose clients due to food and owner needs to be a bit more respectful
Worst food and tooo expensive should have talen smthing from tims
Didn t meet any expectations malai kofta was really worst it was really sweet and not recommended.
I just googled biryani at clifton hills and Guru came up. Tried my luck to see if it would be good. I must say this is one of the best biryanis I have had in Canada. The chicken was boneless, the masala was amazing and there was a proper amount of ghee in it to make it rich! Enjoyed a takeaway while sitting on the lawn watching the fireworks! The biryani stayed in the take away container for almost 30 min but when opened it was steaming hot!! Will go again!!
They charged service fees extra on food then taxes . Owner is rude and nosey.when I asked about service charge then she show very small alphabets about service charge on the menu booklet ..food is not tasty as well
Very bad experience, they guys charging the service tax. Extra and very late service all restaurant employees are navigate attitude, un educated, they need how to attend customers, restaurant need only money no need customer satisfaction.
Worst worst wost
Unnecessary gratitude fee for dining! Doesn t even give a notification about that! Just putting extra fee without asking customer s permission
I have little complaints about washroom Its lekeg and blocked drainage,
Food and taste wise its really good. But along with taxes they charge additional 15% gratuity, which was surprising.
We were on vacation visiting from Florida and we had the best experience. We decided to eat there every night!! Great customer service!! The curry lamb is the bomb
Nice quality and quantity. Great experience
The Guru truly lives up to being one of the **best Indian restaurants Niagara Falls, Ontario**. The food was incredible, and they have plenty of options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. It s my favorite **Indian restaurant near Food : 5/5
The worst food. Dirty establishment. Disgusting for a restaurant. No responsibility for customers
Lady at the counter was rude. Order was taken wrong and we were given a dish we did not want and weren t allowed to return it.
Worst ever experience indian never go there food was like food was not worth the money they had issues with my full order something or the other was missing and panner was frozen and old like chewy like a gum we dint had any and when asked to lady their she was giving all the excuses and dint even apologized for the food she was just trying to cover with all fake excuses but i just wasted my 110$ and we are eating subway anyday so never even think to go their when you are even high too
I had an amazing experience at The Guru! Its the **best Indian family restaurant near Niagara Falls**. The ambiance is lovely, and the food is just perfect. Definitely one of the **best Indian restaurants Niagara Falls, Ontario**!
Poor quality food. Nan was like rubber. Eat at your own risk.
One of the best Indian restaurant, I have tasted in my canada visit. The food is authentic & more than that they served with lots of love, smile. Here you will forget that you are out of India. Love you so much & best wishes Vegetarian options: Panner items , mix veg items, dal items are available
Some of the dishes were a bit spicy but it was really really good!
Went to this place yesterday as we had great food a year ago. But to our disappointment, food was not tasty, didn t feel fresh, didn t enjoy at all. They served fries without ketchup. Shahi paneer felt like we were eating desert. Platter was the size of a small plate. was pricey for the quantity of food served as well. That was our last visit to this place, never again.
I ordered panner tikka roll. It was really really wonderful.
I wasnt there
We have been visiting this restaurant since 2018 because of its convenient location near the attractions at Niagara Falls. I appreciate that the food is good and worth the price. However, the service could be improved. Recently, when we opted for takeout, there was no cutlery or napkins included in the box, which made it difficult to enjoy our meal. This is not something we have experienced with other Canadian fast food chains. Please consider providing more attentive service to your customers.
Here On canada Day I had dinner With my Friends, after Dinner I Got Charged Gratuity $21 Without My Permission. After talk, they said its Service Charges! Why ? GRATUITY MEANS A TIP GIVEN TO WAITER AFTER SERVICE. Thats Customers call to How much to pay or not THEY CHARGED 15% by themself. NOT GOOD... Prices are high less Food Quantity.
Very bad service
Food not very good .The paneer was hard and i guess stale .Would not recommend.waste of money
Have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed!
Some of the most tender lamb i have ever had in my life. Wonderful food served in beautiful dishes. The staff was was really friendly and we had a wonderful time.
I had a take out order last night girl who was taking order was very professional and polite we order chicken curry and chicken tikka with garlic naan chicken curry was with full of oil and cook didn t even had time to chop the big chicken thigh into small pieces chicken actuation tikka was half cooked the picture below I took it next morning
This is not a recommended place for good food. Service was fine but food was way below standards. Food
Amazing food and great service from Miss Pawan :)

Vegetarian options: The service was excellent would recommend to everyone who visit Niagara sanket and vansh was really good for service Food
Food was delish, had garlic naan, lamb korma and basmati rice
Very bad experience with a charcoal piece in the naan. And when we informed them the people here says - Yeah, Naan goes in to the tandoori right. You might have got one from there Also when the restaurant is completely empty, the owner wouldn t mind the guests to move from their place (Just because there might be a big group coming in) we understand if its busy, but you can see the pictures I have attached. It s just us in the restaurant. Food is good, provided if you do not get any charcoal or some random items in your plate . Also the bearer took the piece of charcoal with him immediately
Curry and naan are not that good but Chicken biryani was worth. They charge gratuity for every one no matter if you are just couple or group 10-15 people.
The food was amazing and full of flavour!! The service was welcoming and our water was very kind! The price is honest for the quality and the quantity. I recommend this restaurant to everybody
I love how they fried the naan and my lamb was good and tender. Good prices too! One star reviews were looking for Burger King down the road
This restaurant is a scam. The lady is very judgemental and they added gratuity to the bill. They cut too many corners and Service like they give me the stuff to put on the table. They don t even ask who is what, and they just put it there. The international student helping us looked very harassed here. In addition to adding gratuity, they have defiance to ask for the tip too. And looking at the tip system and the reviews, it seems that she charges the gratuity only from Indians.
I have been coming to this restaurant from past 14 years. Dal makhni taste same like ITC delhi. Awesome food !!! Lady at the front is super polite. Vegetarian options: Dal Makhni
I rarely post restaurant reviews but this experience was so indulgent, satisfying and memorable that I felt compelled to share it. From the appetizers, entrees and dessert, everything was flavorful, decadent and fresh. Zoravar was our server and guided us towards items we would enjoy after our inquiries and took great care of us. Coming from Dallas where we have a plethora of Indian restaurants, this one takes the cake (or their delicious kulfi) and left me wishing the Guru restaurant was near our home.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Guru restaurant in Canada, at the Niagara Falls, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The ambiance of the restaurant was both cozy and elegant, creating the perfect setting for a delightful meal. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, each described in a way that made choosing just one quite difficult. We decided to try a few different items, and every dish exceeded our expectations. However, what truly made our evening special was the exceptional service provided by Zoravar. From the outset, Zoravar went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his recommendations were spot-on. He was attentive without being intrusive, always there when we needed something, yet giving us space to enjoy our meal and conversation. Zoravar s attention to detail was remarkable. He took the time to explain the ingredients and preparation methods of the dishes we were curious about, and his passion for the cuisine was evident. His professionalism, coupled with his friendly demeanor, made us feel truly valued as guests. In conclusion, Guru is a must try restaurant and offers not just a meal, but a dining experience that is enhanced by exceptional service.
Worst restaurant ever, was in hurry and had ordered 10 samosas to go they gave 9, had also ordered 2plates of pakoras they gave 1 plate and the samosas were dripping of oil. Worst experience ever. Food
My family and I have been here in the past and their food was quite pleasant and enjoyable to eat. Except when we came here now, the food quality had dropped drastically and made us really dissatisfied and disappointed.
Never going back to this place ever again. The lady who sits on the desk( old lady) needs to be more respectful and welcoming. You can clearly see her facial expressions which are not at all welcoming. This place seriously lacks good service. If you want to dine in and have food with positive and happy vibes then stay away from this place.
EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK ! The quality of the food has been downgraded to 1 star after many years of being at an average level. ( I have been going here since they have opened and never had any concerns in the past). Eating it there today was a horrible experience and the saddest part was that the owner and staff members were not taking the concerns seriously, simply being brushed off. This was simply constructive criticism to the staff in order to help shine a light on areas of improvement; primarily the FOOD. Simply requesting for them to ensure the food has the proper flavour and is hot when brought out to the table, which in my case neither was. So long story short, if you are looking for a meal to enjoy then please look elsewhere!! Good luck to those people who try it !
The food was perfect, well balanced and for the first time in a long time I enjoyed Indian food in a restaurant. Totally recommended.
The food quality was really good and authentic Indian cuisine was served which reminded me of Dhaba s back home. Regards, Harsh Narula ( Hugo boss) Vegetarian options: Paneer tikka
Price has gone up significantly for most dishes. They charged $20 for channa bhatura without even mentioning the price of the dish on the menu.
They charged too much . The lady on front desk was very rude she steals customers money ...she added gratuity in the bill without your consent . I recommend dont go to this restaurant
Dont go to this restaurant they add gratuity to your bill without your permission.. they are scammers.. rate 0 to this restaurant
Lady sitting at the desk in very impolite, she doesn t know how to welcome their customers. Literally, we were having biryani, 2 of my friends joined us, they ordered beer. But the lady came suddenly and asked them to leave the table as they just ordered beer and can t sit with us for just that. Literally if you want customer to incrwase their bill apply some good strategies rather than fooling around. Never coming back to this place ever again.
Everything very good. Very clean site. The scores are low for the price, a little high. good place
Delicious food, the mild is a bit spicy for kids but still very delicious.
