Well, where do I even begin? I’ve had some bad restaurant experiences, but this one really takes the cake (and not in a good way). Let me just say that Shelby, our server, truly made our evening memorable. It’s not every day you get treated with such impressive levels of indifference and sarcasm. Bravo, Shelby! I’ve never had a server be so good at pretending we didn’t exist. It was like we were invisible to her, which, honestly, is a talent in itself. Waiting for our drink order took an eternity, but don’t worry—when she finally graced us with her presence, we got a healthy dose of attitude to go with our drinks. Nothing says “excellent service” like eye rolls and sighs. We didn’t even have to ask for that! What a delightful touch. Asking for a little help with the menu? Big mistake. Apparently, any question was an imposition. Honestly, we were just happy she didn’t start taking out her frustration on us in the form of passive-aggressive comments—but then again, maybe we were lucky. Who knows? If you’re looking for a place to eat where you can get ignored and treated like you’re an inconvenience for just being there, this is the spot for you! The food was fine, but honestly, after the treatment we got, it didn’t matter. Shelby has somehow managed to make me want to never return here again, even if the food were free. So, if you enjoy a side of rude, dismissive service with your meal, I highly recommend this place. Otherwise, you might want to try somewhere where they actually seem happy to see you.
Had an amazing experience for dinner. Ordered the calamari with honey mustard glazed salmon and mashed potatoes. Also had a 7-up and water. Service was amazing, and the food was outstanding overall. Can’t go wrong with the Keg, especially in a hotel. Also, had the mini crème brûlèe for dessert. Very delicious meal overall.
Had a great experience for dinner. We ordered 14oz prime rib with wedge salad and loaded baked potato. Also had a very nice bottle of wine. Service was excellent and food was top notch! You can never go wrong with the Keg. Also had the Billy miner and crème Brûlée for dessert. Both very good. I have been to many kegs and they always hit the mark. Steaks are tender and service is always great.
Our experience at The Keg was fantastic! The most important highlight was the delicious house-made bread served with the most amazing garlic house-made butter—it was absolutely mouthwatering. The blue cheese wedge salad was also incredibly tasty, and the steaks were cooked to perfection—so tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We started with the mushroom dip appetizer, which was really tasty and the perfect way to begin our meal. The house-made steak sauce had a nice kick to it, adding even more flavor, which we really enjoyed. The only minor downside was that the bathrooms were a bit far in the hotel, but that’s no problem given how incredible the dining experience was. Highly recommend!
Visited the Keg super last minute for my grand uncle’s 80th birthday. We tried booking two separate tables as it was a group of 11. We asked if it was possible to have a table that large and were told by Emma that was not possible. When we were seated however, we were greeted with many available tables. Megan, our server was sweet and attentive. Super informative about the menu and very accommodating between our two tables. The meal itself was underwhelming aside from the ribs & macaroni and cheese that was the highlight of our night!
You should definitely stop by The Keg when you're in Niagara, as there are few restaurants that match it for a delightful dinner experience. As always, I love the ambiance—it's dark with just enough lighting to set the stage perfectly. We were greeted by our knowledgeable server, though there was a hiccup with my prime rib. We started with the Lobster Gratinee and Escargot, both of which were fantastic and come highly recommended. Next, we had Calamari—one of my absolute favorites! For our entrées, we ordered: -Prime Rib- I ordered the 18oz medium rare, but it arrived rare. When I asked the server to change it, he insisted it was medium rare. I doubted myself and asked to have it made medium. Later, DJ the manager came by, apologized for the mistake, and offered us two complimentary desserts. While the prime rib wasn’t perfect, DJ's handling of the situation made up for it. - Peppercorn New York- This was flavorful and cooked exactly as requested. - New York Striploin- Cooked perfectly to order. -Blackened Chicken- Delicious and a great choice for chicken lovers. - Oven Roasted Salmon- The favorite at our table. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the honey mustard glaze paired wonderfully with the rice and veggies. For dessert, we had the Billy Miner Pie and Crème Brûlée. Both were delicious, but the Billy Miner Pie was the clear winner. And since the desserts were free, they tasted even better—funny how that works! Overall, the service, ambiance, and food were all excellent. I look forward to coming back again.
We made a reservation for a Saturday night at the end of May. We arrived about a half an hour before the reservation and were able to get seated early. Our server was hospitable and friendly. The food was good. The wine was good. We didn’t have a clear shot of the falls but we could see it somewhat from the table - still a beautiful view.
We visited the area for the upcoming solar eclipse. We stayed at the hotel and had dinner at the restaurant. We ordered the fried calamari, the escargot and the macaroni and cheese for appetizers. The calamari came with an Asian like sauce that complemented the calamari very well. The escargot was very buttery and fresh. The macaroni and cheese needed a punch. The cheese sauce needed salt and a stronger cheese. For the main we ordered the pistacho salmon, the lobster plate and the blackened chicken. All dishes were very flavorful and nicely presented. The mushroom rice that came with them needed more seasoning and salt. The have a fairly good wine list. Our server, Taylor provided professional and on point assistance. Overall I recommend this place.
Disappointing! What happened with our restaurants? The food is on the level of a sports bar. Our steak came with half of plate of mushroom and chunks of beets. How many people like beets? At least slice it nice and thin, not just cut it into chunks. $16 caesar salad is promised to be better, no bacon and disgusting powder parmesan cheese. The only thing I could taste was powder! Steaks quality of some cheap restaurant. Again, very disappointing!
Visited the Keg on Victoria Ave on November 30/24. Everything was perfect the moment we walked through the door .lovely greeting by the host and had a lovely table served by Shelby. Food was delicious as always. I really enjoyed the salmon and my husband had the prime rib. Cooked to perfection. Thank you Shelby and all the Keg staff for a beautiful evening. We will be back :)
This was a major disappointment for my 65th birthday dinner. Service was extremely slow. We waited a long time for drinks then appetizers then again for food. My wife loves rare prime rib and will take medium rare beef. We had earlier reservation to get fresh cut. It came to the table medium well towards well. No red barely a hint of pink at very centre. It was dry as well. They substituted something else off menu listing as her veggie without asking. My family had brought a cake so their free dessert was not offered or used. They took nothing off bill as customer accommodation. Worst keg experience of our lives. We will not be back in foreseeable future. What a disappointment for whole family.
Our waitress was very helpful and was very knowledgeable with my daughters gluten allergy Kid-friendliness: Yes it was
Food and service were great
Shelby the waitresses was very unprofessional on November 17th ! Very racist and used discriminatory language against someone who was not of Ill of any disabilities but yet called out the individual at the table . This should be a offence as now the young lady is not anxious of how people may perseve her.
Came here tonight for dinner around 6:15ish, seated very quickly. We sat in the bar area as wait times for the dinning room was 30 plus minutes no biggy. Our server was amazing! Having an allergy isn t always easy while going out and he was extremely careful, making sure to double check with mangers and kitchen staff making sure it was Gluten free. Even tho we went to a steak house our steaks didn t even come out properly cooked, one raw on the inside. Had to send both meals back and still got it wrong when they came back. Server was extremely apologetic, I get it working in the restaurant industry if you don t have good kitchen staff or properly trained then it s hard for a server! For management if a customer is having medical emergency/ crisis, where emergency responders come into the building. I m sorry but train yourself and staff properly not to go chatter about it infront of customers so everyone needs to go look or make inappropriate comments after.
On October 17th my daughter, her boyfriend, and I were at the Keg to celebrate the night before her graduation with a Masters degree from Brock University. We were greeted with happy anniversary so I corrected them. The waitress asked after dinner if we were celebrating anything so I told her as well and received nothing more than a smile and she walked away. Maybe those who work at the Keg have no idea that a masters degree is something to celebrate? The steak I had was the worst Ive ever been served anywhere, chew and spit, and the asparagus was difficult to recognize. All in all, I would never recommend this Keg restaurant.
Im a regular at the keg. This location is the worst keg Ive been to. The host was rude. The quality of food was not the same compared to other locations.
Had a great evening out for a date night. Smaller The Keg location than some, the service was great (thanks, Nicole), and the food delicious. We will be back.
Place was clean, the server were nice and attentive and great food! Tried the NY Striploin Steak & Baseball Sirloin
Good food. The Niagara pricing isn t great though
Madi made our visit amazing. Very friendly, attentive and great customer service. Food was amazing as always. Thanks Madi for a great start to our Friday night. Christina
This is our go to Keg for all special occasions and elevated date night, because the Service is exceptional. Chris has his team go above and beyond to make sure guests are pleased with their experience, and we see this every time we visit. We usually sit at a high booth right in front of the bar and people watch, while enjoying a great meal. We celebrated our anniversary last weekend and while it was much busier than normal partially because of the other Keg in the city being closed, we felt the same level of service as always. Well be back soon for another reason to celebrate, even if its just celebrating the weekend!
Shelbys service was top notch. The filet was great although not the best Ive ever had. I would highly recommend this location. It sure seemed like a total team effort.
I had a really upsetting experience at The Keg Niagara (5950 Victoria Ave, Niagara) While I was there, one of the staff members (Shelby) did not serve my sister because she assumed she was intoxicated, which was not the case. My friend spoke to the server privately to address the situation. We continued to order appetizers and when the server came back she made an inappropriate comment I m sorry, I did not realize you were autistic . She singled out my sister in front of the entire group making everyone speechless. It was completely uncalled for and made us feel disrespected and uncomfortable. After this experience, our group did not feel comfortable eating here and we collectively decided to leave . We approached the staff and manager who did not address the situation AND continued to make us pay for our food. My sister left in tears and our entire group was disgusted by this behaviours I was looking forward to a nice meal, but this incident overshadowed the entire experience. I would like to say this server was unprofessional but that would be an understatement. We spoke to the manager again who commanded us to leave. I won t be going back to any Keg restaurant again. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to avoid similar situations in the future. Under no circumstance is this acceptable, I hope no one has to experience this.
Shelby and Chris need to learn how to act around customers. What a joke! Place deserves 0 stars.
I recently visited The Keg, expecting a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, I left feeling frustrated and upset due to the lack of professionalism and rude service I encountered. From the start, the staff (Shelby) seemed inattentive and dismissive. Our server barely acknowledged me and when I ask for a drink, she refused to serve me because she assumed I was intoxicated. Which was not the case. However, what really crossed the line was when they assumed that I was autistic. What s worse, the attitude from the staff was unprofessional and felt outright disrespectful. Instead of focusing on providing good service, they seemed more interested in making presumptions about me. Its unacceptable for any establishment to treat customers this way, especially when personal characteristics are being assumed. I expected much better from a well-regarded place like The Keg. Its crucial that staff receive proper training on respect, professionalism, and inclusivity. I wont be returning, and I wouldnt recommend this location to anyone who values being treated with dignity and respect.
I came here for dinner on nov17th asked for a medium rare steak and when i got it it was more rare than expected however it wasn t a big deal at all I just asked the kitchen to run it a little bit longer, the manager came up to our table within a matter of seconds to apologize for the inconvenience(it wasn t one). It just shows the level of professionalism and care for customers! Our waitress was lovely too! Great experience.
Had a issue with my food , but it was taken care of swiftly, and very apologetic, we were very impressed with how it was dealt with . The staff were very professional,. I would definitely eat there again and would recommend to friends.
Terrible Service. Shelby & others need to learn more about professionalism in a workplace environment. 1 star but 0 if I could.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! (ABLEISM) I have never seen such horrible, unprofessional behaviour in my life. I was appalled. A group of friends and I were hoping to enjoy a quiet birthday dinner but never got it because our server (Shelby) was discriminatory and rude. She refused service claiming a member of our group was too drunk (they were completely sober, never had a drop of alcohol) and when we asked to speak to a manager she denied it. Finally we were able to talk to the manager and after that conversation she came back to our table and said she is unable to serve alcohol because said person has autism, she said this three times. I was so shocked I had no words. Regardless of the situation and its circumstances it is NEVER okay to talk to anyone like that. There was no reason to be a horrible person. The manager was also completely unhelpful and seemed like they couldn t care less. What shameful behaviour.
Well, congratulations are in order. Shelby, you ve officially set the gold standard for what it means to ruin an evening. Really, hats off to you. The sheer lack of professionalism and basic human decency was so next-level, I almost have to applaud the effort it must take to be that terrible at your job. You ve turned dining out into an extreme sport, where the challenge is to see how long guests can endure your attitude before walking out. Let s start with the basics, again like the concept of service. You know, that little thing where servers treat guests with respect and kindness? Yeah, that memo must ve gotten lost. Instead, we got a healthy serving of your bad mood, complete with condescension, hostility, and an extra-large side of eye-rolling. Delightful! It s almost as if you woke up and thought, How can I make this table regret ever stepping foot in here? And boy, did you deliver. Approaching our table to loudly air out personal grievances? In a restaurant? In front of everyone? Truly groundbreaking. Forget guest experience you made it all about you, Shelby, and we were just lucky enough to be part of your performance. And then, the pièce de résistance: outright discrimination. Refusing service based on personal bias is not only unprofessional; it s disgusting. But hey, you topped it off with refusing to get a manager. Genius! Why escalate the issue and solve the problem when you can stand there with your arms crossed, practically daring us to walk out? Now let s talk about the cherry on top: accusing someone of being intoxicated. Oh, the irony. Shelby, do you even know the first thing about recognizing intoxication, or were you just making things up as you went? I d genuinely love to know how you arrived at that conclusion because it was so far from reality it s almost laughable. If you re going to throw around accusations like that, maybe brush up on your Smart Serve training or, better yet, get some. Just a thought. But wait, the fun didn t stop with Shelby. Enter DJ Alexander, the so-called manager, whose main strategy was to double down on the attitude. Instead of stepping up and resolving the issue, they decided it was better to defend Shelby and throw in a few snarky remarks of their own. Apologizing? Making amends? Nah, those things are for amateurs. Apparently, at this establishment, the guest is always wrong, and the staff is always right. Bold choice, The Keg. In short, this experience was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The unprofessionalism, rudeness, and outright discrimination displayed by Shelby, DJ Alexander, and even Chris were not just disappointing they were appalling. What should ve been a simple, pleasant evening turned into a masterclass in how to alienate and insult your guests. So congratulations, team. You ve made it abundantly clear that customer service is optional here, and I, for one, will make it my mission to let others know exactly what they re in for if they re unlucky enough to encounter you. Bravo!
Our recent visit to the keg to celebrate a birthday was incredibly disappointing. One of our guests, who has a disability, was wrongly denied alcohol service under the assumption of intoxication. Despite explaining the situation, the manager refused to engage with us until someone in our party directly approached them. The situation escalated when the server returned and loudly stated, I can t serve you because you have autism, repeating it three times in front of our entire table. This public humiliation was unnecessary, discriminatory, and deeply disrespectful. When we addressed the issue with the manager, we were met with defensiveness and no accountability. There was no effort to provide accommodations or de-escalate the situation. This experience was appalling and unacceptable. The lack of respect, inclusivity, and professionalism shown by the staff and management was shocking. We cannot recommend The Keg based on this incident and urge them to address these serious issues.
If zero stars was a thing, thats what this Keg location would get because 1 is even being too nice considering the horrible experience my group and I faced! Chris and Shelby are the perfect duo perfectly unprofessional, perfectly rude, and perfectly incapable of handling even the simplest aspects of customer service!!! What was meant to be a memorable celebration turned into an evening filled with frustration and disbelief, courtesy of Shelby and the team at The Keg. The lack of professionalism, basic respect, and sensitivity displayed during our visit was nothing short of appalling. Our group faced issues from the very beginning. Shelby s cold demeanor set the tone, and it only went downhill from there. One of our guests was wrongly refused service based on unfounded assumptions, with no effort made to discreetly address the situation. Instead of listening or showing any understanding, Shelby returned to the table and made deeply inappropriate, discriminatory comments in front of everyone. It was humiliating and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the manager, Chris, was equally unhelpful. Instead of de-escalating or apologizing for Shelby s behaviour, they defended her actions and dismissed our concerns with an air of condescension. The opportunity to address the issue with dignity and professionalism was not only missed it was blatantly ignored. What could have been resolved with empathy and understanding spiraled into an unmanageable situation. Our guest was left in tears, our group was deeply uncomfortable, and the celebration was ruined. We were even forced to pay for the uneaten appetizers we had barely touched before leaving. This experience reflects a shocking disregard for inclusivity, respect, and basic hospitality. The actions of Shelby and Chris, along with the lack of accountability from the management team, are a glaring red flag for any customer who values dignity and fair treatment. Until The Keg takes significant steps to retrain its staff and address these issues with genuine seriousness, it is impossible to recommend this location or, frankly, this brand to anyone. What should have been a simple evening out turned into a reminder of the importance of holding businesses accountable for their treatment of guests.
Oh, Shelby, where do I even begin? A gold star for making this one of the most memorable dining experiences for all the wrong reasons. You really outdid yourself! Not only did you ooze attitude and rudeness from the moment we sat down, but you managed to set a new bar for how not to treat guests. Bravo!!! Let me enlighten you on something that might blow your mind: when you re working in hospitality, especially serving guests, a positive attitude is literally the bare minimum. But apparently, smiling and basic respect are optional in your world. Serving us must have been the highlight of your day, huh? Because for us, it was the absolute low point of ours. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I d leave a restaurant wondering how someone like you was hired in the first place. Let s talk specifics, shall we? You stormed over to the table, loudly and unapologetically airing personal grievances in front of everyone. Privacy and decorum? Nope, not in Shelby s handbook. And then, the pièce de résistance: outright discrimination. Refusing service based on bias? Disgusting. But wait it gets better. When asked for a manager, you stood there like the picture of indifference, dripping attitude, and refused to get one. Ego much? Pride much? Let it down Shelby, you work at the keg, relax. Stellar professionalism. And the cherry on top? Falsely accusing someone of being intoxicated. Do you even have your Smart Serve certification? Were you trained at all, or did someone just hand you an apron and wish you luck? Pro tip: if there are zero signs of intoxication, maybe don t pull accusations out of thin air. Weird behavior, Shelby. Really weird. But why stop at Shelby when DJ Alexander swooped in to join the fiasco? The so-called manager was no better. Instead of apologizing, they decided to play defense attorney for Shelby, complete with rebuttals and attitude. Newsflash: guests don t come to restaurants to be dismissed, gaslit, and talked down to. A simple, genuine apology and attempt to make things right would ve gone a long way. But no, professionalism clearly wasn t on the menu that day. To sum it up, the actions of your staff Shelby, DJ Alexander, and even Chris were beyond unprofessional; they were discriminatory, disrespectful, and downright appalling. What should have been a joyous birthday celebration turned into a humiliating disaster, courtesy of your team s behaviour. The Keg used to stand for quality and great service, but this experience was a total disgrace. Congratulations, Shelby and team. You ve turned customer service into an art form just not the good kind.
DO NOT GO HERE The server Shelby called someone autistic at the table and refused service. Was said OUT LOUD in front of everybody. Is this really the type of people The Keg employs? Food : 1/5
I GIVE THIS PLACE A 0 the staff is horrible my server SHELBY is the worst and was discriminating me and my family
Don t know how it s appropriate for your server to call someone autistic publicly in front of everyone!! So embarrassing and so unprofessional. Wish we could take the night back since this just left a bad taste in our mouth. Not only hurtful words but discriminatory as well. Don t go here unless you want to be belittled and disrespected. There is literally no room in this world for treating someone with a disability as lesser than you, and your server s behaviour was disgusting and offensive. Shame on you and do better.
Quiet evening at the smaller location in Niagara. Not very busy which was nice. Great service and meal was awesome
Noah was great server in the bar, standard Keg meals always worth the price.
They were late to give us service but, apologized and provided us with free appetizers. The food and service was great otherwise than the minor hiccup.
We got steak and chicken and they were both amazing. Will definitely be back!!
2 people $46 would not take money, waitress disappeared never seen. Next table waitress telling man how poor she is work 2 jobs goes to school so. Story (he gave her a big tip). Disappointed
Delicious and delightful.
Great customer service from the walk in until finish. Waitress was very attentive. Manager Chris took control of my food as I have a shellfish allergy! The waitress even brought us a beautiful dessert for our 13 year anniversary! Would highly recommend!
Great steak house - minor complaints about the green beans being too salty and the rib having about as much fat as meat.
Its Awesome!!!! Great Service
Always a great place for a steak dinner. 1 of 2 locations in Niagara Falls. This location is a little darker and a little quieter than the fallview Keg. Great for a date night. Discount available for locals!
Excellent Steakhouse : a very nice meat and beautiful service for the dinner. We enjoyed the place in spite of not having a view on the Niagara Falls. Food
Dark, boring decor but livened up with sweet, attentive service. Food average: bland hamburger patty but the ribs were juicy and tasty. Frustrating that the actual prices are higher than menu and listed items ( eg beer options) not available.
Lovely steak and great service
Julia is a great server. Manager was great too. I recommend eating at this keg location!
Best steak I had in Canada! Perfectly done!
Worst service ever and worst quality of food that I ever had at the keg We were a group of 7 celebrating two of our friends birthday . One meal - the meat was overcooked and took over 20 mins to come out. Two other meals wasn t even complete. Missing the blue cheese and bacon. How is possible to not know how to cook steak properly. The restaurant was empty so shouldn t take this long to cook food. The restaurant even started turning lights off on us without even letting us finish our food. We had to get up multiple times to complain as waitress nor manager was attentive to our frustration. Plus neither of them apologized they just disregarded our anger. This quality of service for the amount you pay is disgusting. I would have had better service at a McDonald !!!
Great place to eat very close to Niagara Falls. Delicious meat and vegetables. The dishes are very well presented and the service is great. Food : 5/5
If every restaurant has its good and bad days, I had my vacation on a 5 star day! Everything was great! The food was delicious, the service was top shelf, our waitress tonight, Tina, was extremely accommodating, taking some wonderful photos for us! 100% will be coming back here again if we re ever in the area, even if I have to take an Uber!
Great service and excellent food with a view. Worth the price. Recommend twice baked potato and the keg old fashioned.
Was visiting the area for the weekend and had dinner at Kegs the first night. The food was amazing and our waiter Chris provided the best service. Will definitely return upon my next visit
1. The server immediately tried to upsell for a lobster summer special.. not everyone likes lobster.. so I dont really appreciate it when places try to force something on you. Why do places act like lobsters is black caviar ? Lobster is not a big deal.. I couldnt care less about the lobster. 2. We had to ask for a glass of water a different person since our server wasnt much around. 3. Service was not as good so not sure why people should tip of service wasnt good...? Its not even about it being good but simple as attention to the table once in a while would have been nice. We urgently needed a glass of water, and I physically had to get up and ask a random server for water when it should have been at the table from the very start as most places do.. 4. The calamari were the most chewy once Ive ever tried.. felt like eating a chewy candy..
Classic Steakhouse. Everything ok, correct prices.
My husband and I went there on Wednesday for dinner. We were greeted right away and seated right away, which was amazing. Our server I believe her name was Mary was without a doubt the best server I ve had in a long time. She was very professional told us of all the specials. She checked in with us many times all at all we had a great evening.
Great as usual! Pro-tip: Niagara residents get a 20% discount. Be sure to let your server know if you re from Niagara and show them ID
Weve been coming here for years for special occasions and have never been disappointed until our most recent visit. Although, the staff (right from the front door to management) were excellent and the atmosphere upbeat, friendly and efficient, our food order wasnt up to the usual standards (while fresh, large quantities, parts were very undercooked - not to what we specifically ordered). Big thanks to our excellent, super friendly, efficient and attentive server, Nicole and to the manger, D.J. for making things right and his attention and generousity!! We will definitely be returning for upcoming special occasions and events in the future as we know all businesses have off days. Keep up the great work! We wish Nicole every success in her future endeavours and know theyll be losing a gem when she moves on to persue her dreams!
It succeeded on the third attempt to fry the meat medium. First it was well done, the next attempt raw, but the third time really good In addition, the place is fantastic. It is on the 9th floor, with a beautiful view of the Niagara Falls and, even if they are busy, both nice and attentive waiters. I could come back again. Wheelchair accessibility: You can easily enter with a wheelchair.
Great food, both steaks medium rare. Service was great. All in all a fantastic keg experience. Would come again.
We had our anniversary dinner here, and it was lovely. The staff was so considerate, double checking for my gluten allergy , ensuring and reassuring me that my meal was gluten-free, with one of the chefs staff delivering my plate directly to me. I have not encountered such care in a restaurant before. Thank you to your wonderful staff . Our meal was delicious, the wine, wonderful, And the CremeBrule was such a lovely touch and surprise ending to our meal. It was perfection and will be the taste I compare to from now on. Thank you again. Lisa and Tim
Overpriced yet the quality of the food isn t so great with minimal servings. I personally did not enjoy my experience here. Service was horrible, waiting time is too much, maybe hire some more staff? One of the waitress even forgot to bring one of the things I requested, seemed like she didn t care and just brushed it off.
I had come in for a steak, and asked for it to be super well done, and received a medium well steak. I also had 3 of my friends steaks have their orders wrong. Big thanks to the awesome manager Erica! She was super kind, and really worked with us to make sure everything was taken care of!
This what a steakhouse should be. From the extensive menu to the absolutely outstanding service to the comfortable atmosphere, this is a great place to enjoy a fantastic meal!!
Great steak. Great view.
I ordered the rib-eye steak, which was moderately soft and hard. The seafood was very fresh and the service staff were also very good.
Courtyard Marriott is 1000% the best Keg ever! The customer service is phenomenal. They make you feel so appreciated & ensure you have a fabulous experience every time, no matter what. This Keg is VERY special to my husband and I. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them.
We were going to be at the Courtyard for three days to celebrate our 40+ wedding anniversary, so we booked our favourite table at the KEG, weeks before our arrival. Our first night we were taken by the hostess to the right table and enjoyed a wonderful meal, attended to by Roodi (? sorry if I got it wrong). Very friendly and mentioned about the movie Rudy, we talked about it, how the same name, he commented that he hadnt seen it, but knew the story line. We had several good discussions, and asked if he was going to be around the next two nights, as we had reservations, same table for the next two nights. The second night played out just as awesome as the first night. We talked about seeing him the third night, the day of our anniversary, casually mentioning that we had been there before the the hostess had messed up and had given our reserved table to another party. I mentioned that we hoped history did not repeat itself, because if it did, we would celebrate at the MANDARIN. Showed up the third night and guess what, our table had been given to another party. We turned around and had a short discussion with the front desk and they offered their apologies and sorrys. We turned around and Roodi was there, who also apologized, but realized that we were not going to spend our anniversary there, even though we had booked our table, and had a gift card for our anniversary, looking forward to lobster and prime rib! Didnt happen, we had a lovely dinner at the Mandarin, shrimp, ribs, unlimited prime rib, the horseradish was not as hot as The KEGS, but was close. This was the second time a hostess had given our reserved table away on our special day. We can only hope that we are the only ones that this happens to and that things will be better for our next special day. To me, we did everything right, but someone did not do their due diligence. As I hear from one tv program, Not Cool. If we had been able to have our special anniversary at our reserved table, it would have been all 5 stars, Roodi was five stars plus, not so much the hostess.
Pretty good service up till when we were trying to leave (my toddler literally fell asleep waiting), food wasnt great. Cheesy noodles for kids tasted stale and not cheesy as I remember it, salad (iceberg wedge) was drenched in dressing felt like soup, vegs with my steak were not cooked through, peppercorn sauce super salty. mushroom rice had alot of onion yet still wasnt flavorful as I remember it. Pricing is tourist pricing but I get it... Ill pay the price...Just not worth it. Ill be taking my money to Copacabana for better meaaaaat and dishes...
Went today with my husband and kids, ordered two rib steaks with garlic mashed potatoes, when we got our plates i started eating and i noticed a black big chunk in the mashed potatoes and thought it was a mushroom and was so closed to eating it but it seemed off to me so i took a closer look and saw it wasnt a mushroom, the waitress came to ask how everything was and i showed her what i found in my food. She took it to take a look in the kitchen, a few minutes pass and the supervisor came and said it was a rotten potato that was mixed in my food, they took the plate and gave me a new portion of mashed potatoes and re plated the rest of my food. Honestly to me that seems very unprofessional considering how expensive the food is in this restaurant. When we got the bill i wasnt at the table but lated asked my husband if they at least discounted something off my plate and he said they didnt. Honestly its disgusting and disrespectful and shows very poor customer service after you literally tell a customer there was a rotten potato in the food.
What a great evening ! We were served by Nicole who was absolutely wonderful, so pleasant and so efficient she is one of the best servers not to mention DJ the Bar Manager who personally visits your table to make sure everything was top-notch, so professional. Can t thank them both enough for a wonderful evening, you certainly know how to make people feel fantastic.
Just left here. Amazing food but what made our night was our server Chris. He made us feel as though we were the only customers who mattered. Best service ever experienced. Thank you Chis for a night to remember.
The billy minor pie is to die for. I was disappointed to see that they no longer had the mediterainan cauliflower though. In replace of that, the fried cauli was soooo yum. The 2 waitresses we had on 2 separate nights were both very nice. I dont remember the first womans name, but on the second night, Danny was extremely kind and accommodating. Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options. (fried cauli is rlly good)
Food was good. Ribeye stake was done as asked good flavor. Crème brûlée was delicious. Restaurant is pricey. To be seated by the view you need to make a reservation other wise you ll be seated without view. I didn t like where we seated there were others that came without reservation and were given better seats, not sure why we weren t chosen.
Normal steak-nothing special I didn t feel. Just love the view on the Fall. Atmosphere in restaurant just regular as people coming to eat and enjoy the view so just come and enjoy
The primb rib and Striploin we had were tasting great. I really like the strong grilled flavor on their steaks. The service was great as well.
The Keg at its best! Super quiet in the Falls this weekend, maybe still a little cool and not yet the spring/summer rush. Restaurant was not packed or crazy busy as can happen in the Falls sometimes. Waitress was great, super attentive and very polite. Food was delicious and didnt disappoint.
Food was as expected at the keg. Server was misleading though. Implied that the starter salads could be added/included to the nightly special steak dinner as they are with some of the normal steak menu items. When the bill arrived they were added alright but at a cost. Not a huge issue. it just wasnt the most honest in my opinion. We had good service otherwise and the food was great.
Had lovely service from Izabella. She was quick and to the point, but still friendly and I could tell she cared about us having a good experience as well as a good meal. Food is consistent as expected from the Keg. My Partner ordered the 14oz prime rib which was very tender and perfectly cooked. I had the peppercorn steak which was flavourful and actually came rare as requested. Calamari was okay at best, however some pieces were extra oily. The sauces that came with it are lovely though. Great experience overall.
A very well managed restaurant. Serving great food and beverages. Not just a steakhouse. Great wine list although just a few are available by the glass. Great servers. Fills up fast. Reservations are a good idea.
Atmosphere, service and food were excellent.
Love eating here when at the falls, but this time was very disappointing. We ordered Prime rib 2 sizes, one with twice baked potato and one garlic potatoes. They were barely warm and the meat had absolutely no flavour . The twice baked potato was half the size it usually is . The only hot item for our meal was the bread. And prices have gone up. Sooo , not a good experience at all.
Service was okay. Food is always quite good. We had a good view
Not sure if it was an off night for them, but it wasnt up to theyre usual level.
Amazing food
Quick service and delicious food
The last 3 times I ve been here, part of my order had been missing. The burger and soup was tasty, the caesar salad was gross. Again, wasn t asked if we wanted dessert after our meal.
Not a great experience. My keg size margarita was served in what i would call a juice glass. It was not made correctly and very bitter like. I skipped the normal salad and prime rib i usually have for a med/rare rib steak...pricey at $68 but it was my birthday. Steak arrived way over cooked and dry...so now my evening was in the gutter. Im not one to complain, and had many good experiences at other Kegs. Manager Chris was in agreement with me, and apologized sincerely. I accepted that...and carried on even after her offered to cook me another steak...i didnt want that wait again. Little disapointted on my birthday, but manager Chris removed my meal and drink from our bill and made things right. Thanks Chris! I would return and give them another chance...sometimes things just happen. The margarita drink needs to be addressed for sure though....you dont serve wine in a juice glass, and you dont serve margaritas in a juice glass. Someone needs a bar tending education. The drink was not made correctly, or served correctly. Thanks again Chris for your attention to the matter. Much appreciated.
This is a few months late, but Nicole M. was amazing when we dined there in September!! It was our anniversary and she had great recommendations! She talked me out of making a terrible mistake (vegan meatloaf) and was an all around pleasure!! Ask for Nicole M. when you dine there!!!
Awesome Atmosphere, great service and food was absolutely amazing. We have been to Keg at other locations at Brampton and Mississauga but the food and the service at this Keg was on top tier level compared to others Food
Short walk from Sterling Inn. The staff from the front door to the servers were absolutely awesome. Food was cooked to perfection. We were a group of 4. Started with the mushroom dip, first time ordering. I am hooked! It was creamy and delicious. Ordered the baseball sirloin. It was thick and juicy. The double baked potato was tasty.
Loved it
Great ambiance and excellent service!
Very nice place!
The Keg never disappoints. The service, food, and mgmt is top notch.
It would be nice to have fresh fruits in the breakfast buffet. Our kid couldn t eat the fruits at all and the fruits are usually her favourite of BF. Unfortunately, It didn t meet our Keg expectation. However, the customer service is excellent. Thank Food
Best waitress ever. Food was excellent. Wish it were closer to home.
During our anniversary dinner at The Keg Steak and Bar at Niagara Falls, we were fortunate to be served by an exceptional young waiter named Caleb. His attentiveness and professionalism greatly enhanced our dining experience. He was not only knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, but also had a warm and engaging demeanor that made us feel truly special. The highlight of the evening was the delightful surprise of an ice cream cake on the house, a thoughtful gesture that added a sweet touch to our celebration. His outstanding service and kindness are a testament to the wonderful staff at The Keg. We look forward to returning and hope to be served by this remarkable young man again.
Met by awesome smiling staff, and got the best service from Kaleb, the young man made us feel welcome and gave us awesome service, the food was awesome too, I would definitely recommend a visit.
Good place to chill out with a few drinks
This was our first time at this location. This should have been an easy 5* review but The service was not good. The server wouldn t listen to our order. We asked for the butter, sour cream and chives to be on the side for both potatoes. I did order the twice baked and only wanted sour cream and chives on the side and my husband had a regular baked potato and wanted butter on the side. My husband also ordered the garlic butter confit (from the sauce section ) for his steak. When the food arrived there were no sides for the potatoes and my husbands steak came without the butter confit when pointed out after about 5 minutes the sour cream came for my potato and again we pointed out there was no butter for my husband s steak or potato.. a few minutes later my husband was given his butters so now his dry baked potato had some butter but by the time he put the confit butter on his steak it was not melting as it should. Any other restaurant would have taken back the steak to at least keep it warm or brought it sooner. We also ordered other veg and onion rings so they got cold for him too. We were not even offered dessert which usually we don t have to as usually we are asked if we are there for an occasion and brought some Billy Miner pie (the keg is our go to occasion place) However we actually wanted to buy a crème brûlée but were not given the opportunity as the bill was given to us instead. I doubt we will return to this location as it was a huge disappointment on a special 2 day break however the food did taste good albeit lukewarm
A surprisingly good franchise location. Food is good and service was excellent. Will definitely be back in the future.
Service is always wonderful, tasty food and if there is an issue Management always goes out of their way to make your time there enjoyable.
The food was delicious. The Onion rings is the best we ever tasted and the French onion soup was just as delicious. The waitress was very friendly and professional.
Julia was our fantastic server.
Maddie is great she kept that bread coming and dealt with my drunk a** very well our party loved you thank you so much!!
Food was amazing. costumer service not so much. Had a server named nicole she had a little attitude and she seem bothered by the amount i tipped. Do better
I absolutely enjoyed my food and the service was excellent
For breakfast... $20 per person. Omurice and croissants are recommended.
The worst thing that s ever happened to me , Rude manager , Rude bartender
Katie F. is the best!
Rude and worse staff, not responsibility for guests, accusing and harassing customers at bar, very rude bar staff, super dark, never ever go there!!
Whats with all meat cooked well done and so dry you cant swallow it? The price was not worth it.
A bit pricey, but the food was great and you get a nice view of the niagara falls.
We ate here overlooking the falls. Unique experience and if you can go. I ate an excellent fillet of beef and drank some good wine. The staff was also very helpful as they found us a place with a view (which is not a given)
Get closer washrooms
Totally good
Nice food and service, enjoyed it!
I believe our servers name was Mary, and she was excellent attentive and made sure everything was right....
Service was excellent and the food was delicious.
Trucker diner quality steak Period. Food
My family ate here tonight and all the food was outstanding. Our waitress Carly was attentive and very friendly. The prime rib was one of the best I have eaten anywhere and the price was reasonable for a nice restaurant. I had some of my wifes steak and my daughters and those were also really awesome. If you want a great dinner especially if you are staying in the hotel this is the place.
Im giving one star because I cant choose the zero option. Dark, narrow, cramped, hot and boring place. Pressured and stressful service. In the middle of the dinner we just ordered, they realize that we have a little dog, closed in the carrier, and they tell us that the dog cannot stay in the restaurant. We reply that in this case we cannot have dinner and they reply that the dog can cause allergies to other guests, unless it is a service dog. What idiocy! Ridiculous. Furthermore, it is a labradoodle! Luckily we had dinner elsewhere
Im sorry to say that this is the first Keg Ive been to where I was disappointed. Our steaks were overcooked, the new York strips grisly, the garlic and cheese covered shrimp had bits of shell in them, and our daughters kids burger was cooked to charcoal and was inedible for her. We didnt want to send 4 dishes back on someones birthday, so we powered through it. Service was good, they were kind enough to give birthday cake to my brother-in-law free of charge.
Second choice for 69th Birthday dinner. From the call to get, Yes come right over. To the great service from Carly and the perfect prime rib. Thank you for everything
Awesome food, great service alittle dark but then again it is a place you would take a date to so the romantic atmosphere is definitely there.
Had a beautiful Saturday night out on the town and decided on The Keg for dinner. Bacon wrapped scallops, pina coladas and New York/Filet Mignon steaks were all amazing. The Keg has yet to disappoint!
Was too dark. The customer next to me had to use his cell phone light to read the menu!
Great place for delicious food and fantastic service! Kid-friendliness: Nice choices for kids. My daughter loved the mac and cheese and shes so picky! Food : 5/5 |
Very expensive. The Keg Prime (specialty) was a little overcooked and not that tender. I was expecting a steak but it was more of a roast beef. Big portion. $175/2 2 steaks/2 drinks.
The Keg chain is pretty well consistent in atmosphere and service, however I find the food quality varies depending of location. We were at the Keg located inside the Courtyard by Marriott in Niagara Falls on Victoria St. We order prime rib steak and lobster tail. We enjoy how the meat Wes cooked and in general the food was good. Parking: It is with the hotel, not sure if you go to the restaurant you have to pay for the amount of time you are there.
Breakfast is fantastic no so much dinner expensive .
Thanks for being the catalyst for a ruined first night in Canada. Maybe when you mess up a customers order, causing them to wait twice as long, offer something to make it right. Got into a huge family argument over this.
Service was below standard and staff was not aware of billing options with coupons. All should be careful what coupons being offered in Embassy Suites hotels beast is in detail which is crafty .!!!
TLDR; NOT ROMANTIC! Lies! Food and staff were amazing, knowledgeable. We both got amazing steaks cooked to rare perfection. Didn t even need the side it came with. We came here though for an anniversary dinner, couldn t hear each other across the table, people were dressed in sweats, just all types you would see at a resort, would not have expected it coming to a restaurant for these prices. More so felt like a common sports bar to be honest. Maybe it is because of the coupons from the hotel inside. Check out the table rock place for a better atmosphere.
Ask for 3 medium-well done steaks and all came burned steaks. Sautéed mushrooms was under cook. Just wasted $200 on my birthday dinners. And Waitstaff only came twice to check up on our table. ********************************* I email you guys and never got a email or phone call to follow up.
After an exhausting day at the falls we ate here, mostly due to the fact that it was attached to the hotel we were staying at and everyone in the party has always had an excellent experience at different locations. Our meals took a little longer than usual, and my ribs were a little bland, but other than that, everything was what you would expect at a Keg.
Rudy and all the servers were awesome. Our food was excellent
Delicious food
Very good service
The exquisite meat. Impeccable service. Spectacular Californian wine. The half mile chocolate cake is impressive.
The food is always awesome at The Keg! The view is very nice as you can see the falls !!
Elegant, exquisite all around. Local wine selection was awesome Parking: Marriott, The Keg and Starbucks share the same parking lot Food : 5/5 |
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Food
The best I have ever had
We decided to try dinner at The KEG at Courtyard while staying in the hotel on 9.8.23 Cindy was our server = 5 star service from her!!! The French Onion Soup is one of the best Ive had it falls into my top 5, and I try that soup whenever I go to any restaurant that offers it on the menu... The Broth, the onions, The cheese selection etc was exceptional... We both had the bacon wrapped Filet Mignon which was excellent, as well as the Béarnaise sauce and Whiskey Pepper sauce were exceptional... INK-MAN from NH
My first experience with a Keg and I was not disappointed. I had the teriyaki sirloin and it was cooked as requested. Im sad and happy I filled up on the bread as the whipped butter is top notch. We made reservations and came with a large group of 18 and had to wait about 45 minutes for our drinks and overall the meal took 2 and a half hours to get through. I spent just shy of 100 for my meal alone with only 2 drinks. Its expensive but worth it
Loved it here. Came for my mom s bday yesterday, and had an amazing steak (12oz) and my mom had the lobster and steak. Today we are back for seconds! The manager and server were super nice. I had a steak that was slightly over cooked, and the manager and server (Veronica) handled it like a pro! Thanks guys! You guys are awesome!
Their Fillet Mignon is the best. Tender and juicy. It still tastes amazing even with no condiments!
I usually only write positive reviews because people are quick to give negative feedback but this was not a nice a time so I felt like I had to add my two cents. I don t know if it s because I ve served before or because I appreciate kind customer service but this was not a pleasant experience. My partner and I went to the bar to grab a drink. The first bartender cashed out after making our drink and didn t say anything to us (all good, you want to head out) but the one taking over didn t acknowledge us until I asked for another drink. Once our drinks were emptied he still didn t acknowledge us so instead of getting anything else I asked for the bill. I felt so dismissed and ignored, drinks were ok and service sucked.
Hostess was great food was average Baked potato skin as burnt it was just a average meal at a beautiful setting
Sat at the bar and enjoyed a blue cheese filet. Cooked to my liking the service and food was fantastic. Finished with the lemon tart that I get was too cold and could have been served at a room temperature. However that s just personal preference. Nicole was amazing and guided me along to a wonderful experience. Thank you
Good
The front desk staff couldnt find my reservation made through Open Table. They dont know how to listen and need better training. Once I showed them the email confirmation, they found it and said our guests were already sat. We waited almost 10 for the waitress to come after we were seated. The restaurant was almost empty. Once Alex came, she was really tentative and checked on us frequently. The food was delicious and we enjoyed a great dinner with our friends. I was surprised at how expensive the Keg has become! 2 bottles of wine, 4 steak dinners (keg classics) and 3 desserts was $500.00!!! I guess thats life living in Niagara Falls! Not sure it was worth that much $$ though! It was very busy by the time we finished which is nice to see after 3 yrs of nothing. Parking: A sign to enter the Keg should be placed in front of the door to the hotel, NOT where the old entrance use to be. Also, put up something to hide the old entrance so its less likely to be tried.
Steack was not cooked to order but still good. Always have a great meal at any Keg.
Asked for steak well done it came pink. Did ask for it to be cooked more it came back a second time pink.
Three glasses of wine and my bill was $97. DO NOT go here. I asked the server and she sympathized with me. Awful all around. It wasn t even the wine I asked for, it was a substitute . Such a scam. Go elsewhere.
Shelby was our waitress tonight. She is absolutely delightful!
Best service
Had dinner here w my group on Saturday. Excellent service, awesome waiter, always delicious food!!
What can I say. This place never fails. It s always our go to steak house.
Used to go to The Keg often but no more after their ridiculous price increases...The prices are out of this world...Didnt feel like steak, had the blackened chicken >>>$39.00. Should be called the Platinum Chicken. Every other main food item on the menu is equally crazy priced. Even the Billy Miner Pie ( a staple), barely has any almonds left on it. Server was amazing (Cindy), but this is the last we will visit The Keg. Emailed The Keg Corporate and got the scripted blah blah blah we care about you and want to provide great food response. We are out...
Nice cozy place. Will come again.
Title: Mixed Experience at The Keg Steakhouse with a View Review: My recent visit to The Keg Steakhouse was a journey of highs and lows. This restaurant, known for its upscale ambiance, set high expectations for an exceptional dining experience. However, the service, particularly at the beginning, fell short of these expectations. On arrival, despite having a confirmed reservation and a notification that our table was ready, we faced a disappointing start. The hostess couldnt find our reservation and rather unceremoniously set us aside, attending to several other groups who arrived later. This oversight in service was not in keeping with the restaurants upscale image. The culinary experience was mixed. The prime rib, a highlight of The Keg, was well-cooked but marred by gristle, which was unexpected considering the restaurants reputation and pricing. On a brighter note, the shrimp cocktail was a standout, delivering a burst of freshness and flavor that was truly memorable. The dessert also impressed, offering a satisfying conclusion to our meal. It partially made up for the earlier shortcomings in service and the main course. A unique feature of The Keg Steakhouse is its view, which is a treat for those lucky enough to be seated by the window. Unfortunately, this is a pleasure that seems reserved for a select few, as not all guests get to enjoy this aspect of the dining experience. The view adds a special touch to the atmosphere, but its limited availability is a drawback. In conclusion, while The Keg Steakhouse boasts some commendable dishes and a potentially stunning view, the overall experience was inconsistent. The service, particularly from the hostess, and the hit-or-miss quality of the dishes, need improvement to truly reflect the upscale status and pricing of the establishment. Nonetheless, the excellent shrimp cocktail and enjoyable dessert are worth noting.
Very nice view to see the falls, we stays three days in N. Falls and we spent two nights at The Keg already, dont mind to come back again for their steaks and shrimp cocktails.
We like KEG Steakhouse but dining in this one was a big disappointment. Except the service everything else was absolutely not worth it. We ordered a steak and lobster with beer and wine. The main portions were served cold and the food was tasteless. We were on visit to Niagara Falls for the show and did not want to get into arguments to distroy show evening. Just paid the bill and walked out.
It was very pricy, but the food: fillet mignon and lobster tails was delicious. Amazing view for Niagara Falls from the 9 floor. Servise - fast. Thank you, Taylor W, for doing your work with a smile on your face.
We keep coming back for more! They have great people, great service, great food and great ambiance! What more do you need? The food is excellent and served with the best service and we appreciate the quality of their service! It s a great place for a celebration Wheelchair accessibility: They have accessible parking and the restaurant is accessible as well.
