14184 Niagara River Pkwy, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0, Canada
Open seasonally, this upscale-casual locale offers regional wines, Sunday brunch & an outdoor patio.
We were at the park for a wedding, and dinner. Veniew was very nice, and the food was quite good. The park and the view were truly wonderful!
The spectacular view of the Niagara River alone is worth the visit, but the weekend buffet brunches are also a culinary feast with an extensive array of breakfast items including French Toast, Eggs Benedict, but no Omelet station, and then lunch items ranging from salad, smoked salmon, beef goulash, hand carved roast beef (this was really good), tandoori chicken, and an extensive dessert selection. Would have been nice to have some non pork meat items for breakfast, and the place does need to be updated, but the food was great, the view and location unparalleled, and service was first class. Definitely recommended.
My husband and I got married at Queenston Heights on September 9, 2023. From the day we met with them to discuss our wedding, to the wedding day. Jackie, was absolutely amazing. Jackie and the team, along with our wedding planner, decor company, and florist, managed to turn my dreams into a reality when it came to how i always envisioned my wedding to be. Now. The food. Our wedding was 6 weeks ago, and people are STILL talking about how good the food was. My husband and I had the chicken, short rib, and prime rib. All meals were absolutely delicious! My only issue, was they didn't offer a formal menu tasting, HOWEVER, they did offer us complimentary brunch in the winter, which we did travel to and attend. The brunch was amazing, however, they didn't have any of our selections on the buffet, so we weren't able to test the menu prior. But this alone, will not affect any of my ratings for the restaurant. The wait staff was incredible, and our waitress was amazing. I can not recommend Niagara Parks, and specifically, the Queenston Heights restaurant enough! If I could give them 10 stars, they would be worth every single one of them!
Queenston Heights was the perfect fall wedding venue. Jackie was outstanding to work with, she understood exactly what we were going for and made suggestions for us based on her expertise. The day of wedding went so smoothly and it was all because of Jackie and the amazing staff at Queenston Heights. We have had SO many comments on how amazing the food was, and they were so accommodating for all of us celiacs. Honestly, just go and see the venue and you will fall in love and get to work with all of the awesome people there!
Amazing culinary experience. Great view, great food and great service. Breakfast brunch contained a great mix of non vegetarian and vegetarian options with a great spread for the ones who have a sweet tooth. Right now open only on sundays and strongly recommend reservations.
We were here as part of a group conference dinner. It was an excellent experience; our multi-course meal lasted two plus hours, which provided opportunities to chat and network between courses. Good food, cash bar, nice decor. We were treated to a musket demonstration remembering the war of 1812, as this site sits beside the Brock Monument.
My husband and I had our wedding here in October. We chose a Sunday and did the brunch buffet and everything was amazing. Jackie will help you with everything you need and answer all your questions. However, keep in mind they do a lot of weddings and you won’t get her full attention until at least a month out. She will answer any questions before that just not as quickly. The food was amazing and even with an open bar, we didn’t spend much over the minimum spend. The setting is beautiful and the pictures from the day turned out perfectly. Be aware of what time you need to be out of the restaurant as there was some confusion about that and we felt very rushed at the end to completely vacate the premises. The park itself also offers a wonderful setting for photos as you can see! (Photographer: pixelesque photography, cake: Trishtastic Cakes)
My husband and I got married at Queenston Heights Restaurant in October. Jackie made the experience incredibly easy and was great about setting up and taking down all of our decor. We got many compliments on the food and the staff were all very friendly and attentive to our guests all night. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We have also came here for brunch twice and the food is delicious. We look forward to returning in the summer.
Great food views and service
Amazing experience each time we visit. Picturesque views of the Niagara River
Absolutely amazing!
Sunday brunch at Queenston Heights is delightful. Food is delicious and plentiful. Gorgeous views of the Niagara River.
Beautiful venue for a wedding! The food is delicious
Awesome service. I will recommend to my friends and family and will definitely come back.
Table of four was attended by Lexi. This server was very courteous and very knowledgeable about the parks and surrounding restaurants. She was always ready to top off your coffee and engage in small talk to make our dinning experience very pleasurable.
Staff were friendly and efficient. Brunch buffet had a wide variety of options. This is how a brunch should be cooked. Will definitely return.
What a view! Brunch buffet was excellent. Eggs Benny, smoked salmon, roast beef, teriyaki baked salmon, and so much more, not to mention $5 mimosas! Whats not to like?
Really felt comfortable. The server was extremely
Sunday brunch. Food was average, nothing special. Price was a little more than I would normally pay for brunch.
Had wonderful Sunday brunch at this restaurant est. In 1900. Luckily got the table at the windows with gorgeous views of Niagara river. Loved the food as well. Service was somewhat slower paced and could be faster. Servers were friendly...only thing that bothered me was , except for the water, all other drinks (including tea and coffee) were not included in the cost of the buffet brunch. Cost of the buffet brunch is just about $50 including taxes and tip and still drinks are extra :(
so good
It is such a beautiful and comfortable restaurant, especially the manager here and all the chefs and staffs here are so nice and patient, every customers can be taken care of very well.
Went there for a wedding. The food was amazing. All fresh made for sure. All the staff was authentically nice ; that sais a lot !!
Nice experience dining inside a park with back view of Ontario lake. Menu s are nice and staffs are good. Private party also accepted here.
Mother s Day brunch at Queenston Heights Park was a wonderful way to celebrate a beautiful woman on Mothers day and show her how much we appreciate her. The restaurant offers a spectacular view of the Niagara River. The buffet had Belgian waffles, eggs benedict, salads, soups, roasted striploin, salmon filets, and more. There is also a dessert buffet with chocolate-dipped strawberries, cakes, pies, and cheesecakes. :-D The service is friendly and attentive. Mom loved the delicious food, the stunning scenery, and the fantastic service at Queenston Heights Restaurant. It was a very memorable and special way to spend Mother s Day.
We were a group of 13 girls. service was horrible. Felt like I was at a retirement home. The owner was extremely rude. I sat down with my group advised the waitress that I was not eating as I was not hungry, so I didn t eat anything but I still got charge for sitting down at the table because the owner said I was taking up a seat in her restaurant. Unbelievable. Don t waste your time and money.
Great brunch.
Lovely fathers day brunch. Service was great, Anne was awesome and the buffet was delicious.
Hour lunch experience today was great.with good variety of foods. Will definitely comeback to try their breakfast. Kid-friendliness: The kids enjoyed their baby back ribs, and the dessert was delicious. They had a great time and they were so happy.
The restaurant overlooks the river providing a spectacular view if youre seated by the window. The food was good and the drinks were incredible. The servers and bartenders made the overall atmosphere better and more enjoyable. After you have finished dinner, be sure to check out everything the park has to offer as its a very beautiful place.
My husband and I held our wedding ceremony at Queenston Heights Park and our reception at Queenston Heights Restaurant. It is the most beautiful venue with the most delicious food. We are so happy we chose this special place to get married. The staff were able to accommodate any dietary requests and accommodate last minute requests. Many of our guests shared with us how much they loved the food and the restaurant itself. The sales manager and restaurant manager were extremely helpful every step of the way. We couldnt be happier with how the day turned out. Thank you to the wonderful staff for helping us create special memories with our family and friends. Parking: ample parking Wheelchair accessibility: accessible inside and outside
I was here with my wife for the Niagara Retired Teachers luncheon. A great atmosphere with a great wait staff.
Great food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended and would come back in a second.
Lexy was a very rude waitress. I will go again but I will ask that she does not serve us. She was unattentive, and we had to ask for drinks twice. When I asked a question her answer was very blunt. I dont need this kind of service when I want to go out for an afternoon. The food was good and the restaurant is clean and nice. Too bad we had such an ignorant server. Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetables for diebetics. Parking: Special space for restaurant patrons.
I got married here. After visiting the restaurant and park I knew it would be the perfect wedding venue. Jackie, the restaurant manager is fabulous and answered my questions immediately. She and the wait staff handled all the set up/clean up & were so kind to me on that stressful day! Food was incredible, so many options with the buffet and I cannot recommend this venue enough! Vegetarian options: Restaurant manager & chef are more than happy to accommodate special requests to menu.
This venue was absolutely gorgeous - went here for a wedding and was stunned by the surrounding views of the Niagara region and the quality of the food and service by the events team.
The food was absolutely phenomenal!
Excellent food. Very friendly staff. Balanced staff interaction that didnt disrupt the flow of the meal experience. Clean and comfortable space. Beautiful view. Definitely returning again. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten-free choices in proteins and carbohydrates. Food was flavourful and hot!
Excellent view and lunch was medium however very relaxing
Great food and views. Staff were extremely friendly. Great to have been part of our friends wedding.
Sunday brunch was phenomenal.
First time - restaurant was quaint. Quality of food was ok. Temperature of hot foods was not hot. Cooked meats were dry - chicken and roast. Cold salads and cheeses were ok but they were in the sun 11:00 am. Dessert selection was ok. Not sure I d go again.
Dietary restrictions: The chef came our to talk to our friend about gluten-free options and prepared a couple of special things for her.
The park is spotless and I would recommend it highly for those who want to spend an afternoon doing nothing but relaxing and enjoying some quiet time or just to have a picnic. The staff are friendly and very polite. To rent under one of the available canopies is a mere $60.00. I say start planning your next family get-together and make some wonderful and lasting memories. Life is to short not to.
Enjoyed our fourth brunch of the season. We come back with family & friends to dine on classic favourites and always seem to be taken with an exceptional dish. This time it was the Cauliflower in a mornay sauce. It was creamy, cheesy & gently browned on top. Yes, the striploin & beer battered haddock were great. The ceasar & eggs benedict superb. More than that, the doting staff here elevates your experience.
Great experience. Nice choice of buffet items from waffles and Bennys to Roast Beef, Salmon, or Chicken! The waitresses were real humans! What I mean is that they were not perfect, nor did they sound like a recording. They were real, friendly, happy people that dud a great job! Cannot wait for our next visit. Thanks for making our visit enjoyable. Till next time!
We had our wedding reception at this beautiful venue Nov 2022. Everything was perfect! Jackie was amazing to deal with, food was fabulous... and that view!!! I have an extensive background in hospitality and it takes alot to WOW me... but they did just that! Amazing experience!!!
Booked last minute for the Sunday brunch. The venue was lovely, the food was great - so fresh - and the staff were friendly. Well worth a visit. A little hidden gem!
Went to a wedding here and had so much fun! Their service was incredible and their food was a big highlight. Even the cocktail hour space was beautiful as it overlooked the Niagara River. Great spot for photos and a beautiful chalet styled building upstairs. Highly impressive!
Lovely view, good food
Usually always have Easter holidays here and also had my sisters wedding here. food is always amazing with good service! Fine dining feel while not the fine dining price!
CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19
We had our wedding there last month and it was amazing. Jackie and the whole staff were so friendly and helpful. We were a little nervous since we didnt have a tasting beforehand (we live in Toronto and couldnt make it down) but the food was fantastic. Everyone was raving the next day about how good everything was. We were so happy with how everything turned out.
Great food..a stout burger and fish & chips..a beer...50 bucks. Its got a great view of the river..nice staff..
Went here for Mothers Day brunch and really enjoyed the experience. The buttermilk fried chicken was amazing! One thing I would note: the restaurant needs to make it clear that coffee and tea are not included with the brunch, and that its additional.
Id like to give it more stars only, As a local, I often walk by during the day, in the evening and on the weekend. I think about how nice it would be to bring my mother here, have brunch with friends and sisters and spontaneously stop with my husband for a bite to eat during a walk BUT this restaurant sadly, is ALWAYS CLOSED FOR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS. As locals we wait all year to enjoy some of our own treasures and yet this is one, as many will attest, we joke about because it is always always closed for private functions. I find that a bit unfair. Perhaps have it open for public 3 -4 days of the week Mensing the general stop ins and closed for private functions maybe 2 -3 days. I tried to go mothers Day and it actually said closed for private function so Im not sure what the comment above is referring too. From those I have talked to, many had tried that weekend. Yet no reservations and closed for private function. It is really sad honestly because if you travel to anywhere else in the world that has public gardens and a restaurant, you can at least always stil for tea and/ coffee and/ or a bite to eat. Its been 4 years since Ive been able to eat here as its always closed for a private function. Maybe find some kind of happy medium and consider the locals. Or maybe keep it open in the winter! How amazing would it be to sit and have hot chocolate with that view! The view is beautiful and the restaurant aesthetically inviting but as I said Ive yet to be inside to eat so until then, 2 stars it is!
Superb ambiance! Excellent setting for weddings, bridal parties and private affairs. Excellent food
Bottom line, the venue is absolutely stunning and the food is ok. The restaurant is located on a hill overlooking the lake and has several massive monuments right next to it. The food is ok, we ordered the gnocchi, the Caesar salad with chicken as well as the tomato bisque. The bisque was a bit bland, the gnocchi was good but it could have been a bit creamier. The Caesar was good but the bacon was a bit dry and charred - definetly not fresh. The prices are more than reasonable for what you get.
top level
Fabulous venue! I booked the lower room for my daughters bridal shower and we had an absolutely stunning day. Jackie and her team were amazing and all of our guests raved about the food, service and of course the stunning view. I highly recommend it for any private function.
Good food, amazing view
Good food, very friendly staff and a lovely setting !
Fusion platter and Caesar salad perfect after a long bike ride. Found a yummy new apple cider...Rood apples from Jordan Station. Thank you for a perfect view and snack!
Great service and the food isnt bad either! Their smoked salmon tastes fresh and not too heavy with smoke!
We had Sunday Brunch for our group of 3 families. Everyone enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the service. This was our second time as a big group at the Sunday Brunch at Queenston and will definitely come back.
The selections for Sunday brunch - from the Arctic Char to the omelets, were well selected, well prepared and well presented. Hidden Gem. This is *not* commissary food, folks, its every bit as good as you could hope for at the price.
Fantastic food. Excellent service. Outstanding facilities
Great food and a fantastic view.
Always awesome service and amazing food!
We attended a wedding at this beautiful venue. That s the only compliment I have. The staff were so rude you would think you were at a themed restaurant where that is what was expected. I am not talking unfriendly. I am talking like they all were genuinely unhappy to be working and took it out on the wedding guests. Everyone was in shock. I had the vegetarian meal which was pollenta. It was terribly over cooked - overall save your money and RUN elsewhere!
Beautiful restaurant, great service, food is magnificent, staff is exceptional. All out wonderful view of nature surrounding you. My son ted stones and Ashley his new wife had the whole ceremony and dinner and dance.
Attended for a wedding. Fantastic venue.
Beautiful safe neighbourhood. Great for the family! Go have a picnic and enjoy the walk the the quaint little town square
Nice lunch with a great view. Opening day for the season and went very well.
Great food spectacular view.....nice treasure for Niagara Falls
Excellent location for a special event. Awesome view great food and service.
Service was terrible! Waiting an hour for lunch. Over priced food
Great food with local wines and beers.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and views
Nice view but WOW, that waitress was RUDE ! Seriously....we sat down on the patio and when she came up with menus we said,Thats OK we are just here for a drink. Her reply....Oh, well that was a waste of my time. She was NOT joking! So my wife, feeling obligated now, took a menu anyway. When the battle axe came back with our drinks, she also gave us the bill at the same time. Ok, I get it, we did say we were just here for drinks but we might have wanted more than 1 or changed our minds and ordered food after all. Dont go here if rude service wrecks your experience...no matter how nice the view is.
Very good food, very good service and great view from patio.
Homade gnocchi was the best.
Excellent brunch. Worth the money! They have a large variety of really good choices for breakfast and lunch items. The Carmel cheesecake is to die for!
Beautiful!
Good place for a small reception
This historic spot offers delightful meals with an awe-inspiring view in the main dining room. The staff is happy to make recommendations and are as warm and welcoming as the building itself. A hidden treasure!
My first lamb burger and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and you have a spectacular view overlooking the river.
Love it have fun walking the trails
Fantastic view, kind service, delicious food, reasonable price, nice interior and clean washroom. Everything was perfect!
Incredible food. The view from the dining room is awe inspiring.
We enjoyed the Thanksgiving breakfast brunch - lots of variety and we had a seat overlooking the Niagara river. Our server was friendly and the food was great. We particularly enjoyed the turkey and the warm berry crumble.
Wonderful! We enjoyed Thanksgiving buffet. It was busy but the wait staff made us feel like we were the only ones there. Great selection of hot and cold foods.Desserts were decadent. We had a window seat looking over the Niagara River. We will be back.
Delicious food served at a lovely wedding!
My daughter was married on the Patio on September 16th. It was a magical and very special day and would not have been possible without Jackie Lynch and her amazing team. We enjoyed the Sunday Brunch and the guests are still taking about the fantastic food and venue. Everyone was so helpful - words cannot describe how much we appreciated everything. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you are looking at the perfect venue and worlds best team dont go any further than Queenston Heights Restaurant.
Good food with a great view of the river and NOTL.
Was a good experience, but food and service were not worth the $ spent. (My opinion and i am entitled to it)
Lovely place: beautiful view. Delicious Sunday brunch. Attentive service. Definitely recommend!
Food was decent but service terrible.. 25 minutes to get drinks. Waitress forgot to put our order in. People who came in 20 minutes after us were served their dinner before us. Waitress never acknowledged she forgot to put in our order or apologized . Never asked if we wanted drink refills. Wouldnt go there again. Disappointing.
Beautiful landscaped area and view. Wish we could have seen more of it. Showed up on a Friday for lunch and it was closed for private event. No warning anywhere. Just beware of this and call ahead.
Great services and the food was fantastic
Great food and view
There was no WEGO bus that came to this location, so I had to walk about 15 minutes from a nearby stop to come to the store. The price is lower than the one near the waterfall and the location is great. I had a lobster and cheese sandwich and it was very tasty and filling. My family was eating rice with salmon on top, and it looked like it was very delicious. The recommended local wine was delicious and well worth the trip.
Nice
This place is perfect for weddings. The venue is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. Jackie (the manager) is amazing, making sure every detail is perfect!
I was here LONG ago with the Governor General for an evening dinner. it was quite excellent, but the company may have influenced the quality :)
What an amazing place! We had a delicious meal, with a perfect view high above Niagara River. Friendly personal gave us good advise. We recommend it with pleasure!
The staff was very attentive and found ways to make a simple wedding even more Wonderful. The food was awesome and everything was reasonably priced.
Great views and wonderful menu impressed on first visit seated inside by windows looking down the Niagara river. Beautifull picturesque sight will return soon good service
Very slow and mediocre food . The view is nice but ruined by the amateur hour restaurant management.
What a phenomenal view! Their Sunday brunch is ALWAYS fantastic! So menu meats and Vegeta choose from. Deserts are outstanding too. All you can eat! Carving station is great too! Get a window seat! Breathtaking!
Great food, decent prices, great location and a spectacular view.
Overall, everything was excellent and exactly as I had hoped for my wedding day!
Best fish and chips Ive ever had! Better than its British ancestor.
Amazing! Food - Amazing View - Amazing Decor - Amazing Staff - Amazing In the Niagara region? This is a place that you should see. Had our wedding here and it was perfect, the restaurant closes down for you, the staff is very friendly and enjoy what they are doing. If you are planning for a wedding Queenston is highly recommended. Loved everything about it.
The food was excellent, the service was great, the view was spectacular but the prices were a bit expensive. About $30 for an entree. We liked it.
