45 Queen St, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0, Canada
Hearty plates of traditional comfort foods are served in classic diner digs with wood booths.
Best retro restaurant in Niagara-on-the-lake! I love old diners filled with history and delicious down to earth food! This restaurant did not disappoint. The service was great. The food came fast and was tasty; French Toast with a side of bacon and Western Sandwich. Busy little place. If you have to wait for a table, do so, you likely won’t regret it!
Great place. Only a 4-star instead of the 5 because of somewhat slow service. People were really nice and food was great. Nice little quaint place and we sat by the street on a beautiful day. Would recommend.
Great great and filling breakfast it prepared us for our wine tasting, please try it you won't be disappointed.
The Reuben sandwich was stuffed with juicy, thin sliced corned beef. The fries on the side were generous so the sandwich could be easily shared if you happen to have a lighter appetite. Service was courteous and adequate.
A really great experience, our server was friendly and nice. Their portions are really really good, also great prices. It is not a fancy restaurant or anything like that, so don’t expect too much, it was a cute cozy spot in the neighborhood. We really enjoyed their breakfast.
Ordered french toast and added bacon, their food is quite decent. Not impress by how their staff were. They are not very busy when I came, entered the main door waited about 5 mins to get someone notice me. Finally seated at the patio, then waited for roughly another 5 mins. The lady who served me don’t bother to check on even she already saw me seated without menu infront of me she was busy getting something here and there until a couple came in and she let her seat them and that’s the only time she gave me the menu. I know this is family owned small local business which I always prefer to support local business, but I am not sure if I want to recommend it with friends or family.
What a great community and setting and restaurant. I love this quaint place with wonderful food that is not salty and the home fries were amazing being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chili was perfect and it came with toast. My grilled cheese was really good with the crispy part on the outside and softened and melted on the inside And it came with a side salad or something else and it was very fresh (the tomato and lettuce and cucumbers, and greens). Our waitress was amazing and so sweet and lovely So kudos to her Alli! And Katie was nice too even if she wasn’t our waitress. We would love to come back again all the time when we are visiting from the US. The prices are amazing also ($10.50 for grilled cheese with a side salad).
Visit the Stagecoach every time we spend the night in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake. We love their blueberry pancakes. It is a very cozy restaurant.
Quick. Fresh. Well priced!
If youre a large person, this place is not accomodating. All booths and bolted down tables. Unfortunately cannot try this local place!
This is a great family restaurant, the service was quick the food was delicious the prices are extraordinary especially considering how expensive things are in that are in Niagara on the Lake! I highly recommend this restaurant for a good solid family meal, especially breakfast
Will be back - clean great food thank you
Excellent cheap place to eat, Canadian fare, hearty plates...
Great food, wonderful service loved it
We dont often come to Canada but always come to Stage Coach for a breakfast. Good honest food, friendly staff and quick service.
Very delicious food and cozy atmosphere. I recommend them
Food was decent, typical diner. I was pretty disappointed with the service, which seems to be pretty common among the reviews. They were attentive when we first came in took our order quickly after food was served we werent really checked on, drinks were not refilled (she finally offered at the end of our meal), having water or anything brought would have been nice so we have something with our meal. I was hoping to ask for a box or something but getting her attention was not happening. I looked at other tables and everyone elses cups were also empty, I think it could be a very simple improvement to just check in a little more.
Good lunchs
Just like a dinner.had breakfast for lunch and 20$ not bad
Been here a few days in a row. Great food and prices and service. The best in NOTL
Had breakfast here during remembrance day. we were seated immediately but waited for 5minutes ish for someone to take order. And waited for another 20minutes for our food to be served. We felt like we were treated differently. They didn t serve us service water, no smiles from the servers and zero eye contact while taking our order. And no thank you as well when we paid our bill. I regretted leaving a tip. it was a really disappointing experience. will not recommend and never coming back. nothing special with the food anyway.
Yummy
The food was good, but the service was terrible, the two waitresses who attended us, hardly looked at our face, treated us with indifference, we realized that with other customers the service was better, but me and my husband left us waiting, we asked a juice did not bring, the water that served for everyone, except us. The customers paid their bills on the table, we had to pick up and go till the cashier. I tried to imagine why they treated us like this, very different from others. We did not make any complaint at the time, but we are sad with this situation, certainly will not return.
I can t even put stars because we never got service. We came for a nice fall day just to do some shopping, and we stopped to have lunch. We fully expected to wait a little as they were busy. We walked in and got sat pretty quickly, which was amazing! We got our menus and some water from the busser and that was it. We sat for over 20 minutes with not a single person checking on us. People who got sat after us had gotten their food by the time we gave up and just left. Not a single person said ANYTHING to us other than when we got sat. No one stopped and asked if we had been helped, no one apologized and said it would just be a minute, nothing. Very disappointed.
Fantastic place. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great value for money meals. Good size portions and fresh and tasty ingredients. I would highly recommend
Awful breakfast. Bacon was deep fried and tasteless - eggs were plain and the home fries looked like frozen wedge fries with some seasoning. Very disappointing great server though ..
This was a great place for a good old fashion breakfast. The pancakes were delicious and all our meals were a great value for the money. I love the feel of the vintage restaurant that isn t trying to upgrade to be modern - the nostalgic feel is underrated these days. The service was my only complaint as we waited a while in our seats for the check and then waited again when we went up to the counter to ask if that s how we paid. Parking: Paid street parking is the only option for this restaurant if you are not staying close by and can walk there.
Caitlin was AMAZING! Bless you best breakfast and super sweet service
The Staff was very friendly. Beer was cold. Food was terrific. Cant wait to come back next year for our annual fishing trip.
Vegetarian options: Nice vegetarian options! There is also a vegan egg option that I didn t try! Food : 5/5
Fish and chip is good with reasonable price but the restaurant s environment is not ok. You can simply find bugs and flies everywhere
My family decided to have a short getaway before September school start. We visited the town and stopped here for breakfast. The restaurant was recommended by our Air BNB host and its supposed a long running family owned restaurant thats been here for generations. Unfortunately I think food was decent but the staff felt like they really did not care about us at all despite our family tried to be friendly and chat. There were 4 waitress there I think only 1 was nice the other 3 really did not care. Most likely wont be coming back.
Good ol style diner. Just needs some TLC.
Its a great breakfast dinner! The staff is extremely nice. The food was okay, I got the stage coach combo, but I will come back here for their breakfast as that looked tempting. Parking: Plenty of spots on the street, all paid and somewhat difficult to find parking on weekends.
Weve been a few times, and even when there is a wait, its never really that long (Yesterday it LOOKED long, but in actuality it took about 5 min to be seated). The breakfasts are huge and cant be beat - super reasonable for all the food you are served.
Lunch in a town with prettier streets!
Proper diner breakfast! Rapid fire multiple choice that some people might find a bit rude, but speedy service and delicious food.
Have been here a few time. Good diner vibes. Great menu and great prices.
Always one of.our favorites to visit when in town. Still the same as when I was a child, there is now a patio which is beautiful. Staff are great.
Unfortunately not a great experience. Food was yucky, which is a shame cause I remembered it being better than that (I had Eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon). Also, the patio had an unpleasant smell. The area is beautiful tho.
Such amazing service, food and ambiance! Will absolutely come back! Best breakfast place in town!
Small diner but the food was great and reasonably priced. Good location too.
Had a good lunch. We were a party of 6 seniors. Most of us opted for the Fish & Chips. Am sorry I don t remember the waitress name but she was extremely kind & efficient Parking: We managed to find parking in the paid lot down the street because it was a week day
Cheap and nice!
Great food, prices, portions and very friendly staff. Well be back when in the area!!
Basic food. Limited coffee!
I went to eat today and my child accidentally spilled water. No one came to clean it up. There were empty seats both indoors and outdoors. I couldn t move to the outdoors. The service was average. I ignored anyone after shouting for a long time. The taste was so-so.
Great food once we got it. The server forgot to put our order in so we waited over an hour.
Had lunch here recently. Made the mistake of eating inside. It was very noisy, with many kids and loud families and clanking dishes. (Our mistake). Ordered lunch fairly quickly, but, after 1/2 hour, had to flag down our waitress to ask where our food was. Another 10-15 minutes and she comes with the food and an excuse about changing the paper on the machine caused the delay. We think she just forgot to submit the order, but, who knows... it was just really late. Then one of our 2 plates had fries, where we had ordered salad. Anyway... the food was fresh and good, but the atmosphere and the service was not great. The mens washroom was a little unkempt... paper and water on the floor and the waste bin was overflowing. The womans washroom (I heard) was clean, but the waste bin was also overflowing The design of the interior is hard floors and walls and hard seats. This definitely is easier to clean, but leads the inside space to be much louder... some sort of sound dampeners would be great!
Great breakfast and service. we sat outside. Such a beautiful and peaceful street
Food was excellent but the service was slower than were used to. Dietary restrictions: The gluten free toast was extremely tasty.. would definitely go back. Food : 5/5 |
Great place for breakfast while youre in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Service is friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable, and the ambiance is casual diner. They keep your coffee mug full.
One of the best breakfasts Ive had. Bacon was tender and tasty, everything was delicious. Service was excellent, very friendly staff. Prices were reasonable!
the servers here are more busy talking among themselves and avoiding us than taking our order and serving us. It s not too hard to smile and greet someone! Bad start for the day, please bring some happy servers in!
We visited NOTL for Shaw and popped in here for an early morning diner breakfast. The service was lovely, the food was perfect diner food, and the atmosphere was a delight! Mainly, we wanted to write this review to thank a specific employee who went above and beyond. Sadly we did not catch his name, but he worked there and he played games with our young son and made him smile. As we left, he came out after us just to say goodbye to our son and give him a toy from Cars. The gesture was soooo thoughtful and sooooo kind and just meant the world to us! Thank you very much to our secret angel - it s this kind of service that makes a little and simple diner a remarkable place.
It s a solid diner with good prices.
Great day to visit niagara on the lake. Beautiful town. And of course great day to sit outside on the patio. Got the catch of the sea fish and chips. Fish was battered what we were looking for. Amazingly good. And we also the stagecoach combo with shrimp and chicken strips. My wife really enjoyed the shrimp. And the chicken was crispy and well seasoned. We got salads as part of the meal. And we were also provided with plum sauce which went really well with our food. Kaitlyn was an amazing hostess. She provided great suggestions and knew the menu inside out answering our questions without to get back to us. All in all a really nice experience.
Stopped by for the first time to NOTL and decided to have lunch at the Stage Coach. Its great choice with plenty of food options to choose from on the menu and specials before 11:30 on weekends available. Excellent food and drinks along with top rated service people who are friendly and patient. We dined on the patio and the restaurant was very busy but service was surprisingly expeditious. Salads are nicely presented and tasty. Paid on-street parking available at the corner of Queen & Regent in the historic old town. $$
Great breakfast, genuine place and fantastic staff
Very nice breakfast but very loud atmosphere. It was busy so service was a bit slow.
Tried the different burgers; very below average, something tasted off about them. The coleslaw was also not great. Fries were okay but lacked seasoning. Milkshakes were good, and service was fine, but nothing special.
Were here now, as Im writing this. Cute place, thats why I picked it. BUT, beware! We stood in line forever behind a young family and were completely iignored. Another couple in line behind us. They didnt bother to mention the patio seating and diner seating are SEPERATE lines, leaving us three parties to bicker it out when the only table open came up and it was, of course, on the patio. I had to assert to the staff that the family was here first and they should take it; the party behind us was ready to steal it from those ahead of them. We took it when the family turned it down. I commented that they needed better signage indicating lines for the patio and diner are different. Our server was pleasant, and I was very nice to her (I had been a server back in the day), and I am normally very empathetic in a busy restaurant. However, we drank our coffee dry with no refills in sight. I had to get up, go in the restaurant and I very nicely asked for refills. The hostess grabbed the pot and followed me to the patio (I offered to take the pot myself, but I knew theyd turn me down). This girl seriously filled EVERYONE ELSES CUP before finally getting to us!! I was the whole reason these people even got a refill in the first place! Hello!! So rude to do that. How about filling the requesters cups first, since theyre bone dry??? Wow. That was it for me. As a former server, I would have fixed the squeaky wheel FIRST. The food finally arrived, and I knew that would take a while...it was the best thing about this place. Train. Your. STAFF. Sometimes service is everything!!
We had sandwiches
There were 3 generations of us that went: my son and his daughter with me. Clara is young enough that she eats bits from our plates. My son ordered suicide hot wings and I went for the Julienne salad. And what a salad. Fresh roasted turkey breast, ham and lots of grated cheese. Fresh greens. I ordered the large and for $13.99 got a bargain. 2 meals for me, packed with lots of meat and cheese. Delicious!
Simple nice diner.. thought the sandwich tasted good but couldve been bigger for the value..
Went here for a quick brunch in the beautiful Niagara on the lake downtown. The food was homely and simple with no frills ,though the buns sandwiches we ordered were very plain, fries were ok but not seasoned . The place maybe is ok for a simple breakfast at a decent price but don t expect anything fancy .
If you want to experience the typical Canadian and family atmosphere, delicious breakfast and friendly service, then you have come to the right place. Anyone visiting the area should stop at this restaurant, even for a coffee
Cute little homestyle restaurant. Had breakfast; eggs Benedict. Not the best Ive had, but pretty good. Would definitely come back to try other menu items.

Nice place the food is fine.
Best breakfast
Atmosphere is classic old school which is charming :) The highlights however are the food and service. Food is excellent and hot and the staff were amazing, friendly and fast!! Our first time today and we will definitely be back. Georgina and Ed.
Great food in that moment and pop atmosphere!
This is a good little restaurant and well located but THE HOURS ADVERTISED HERE ARE NOT CORRECT. We showed up at 4pm on a Saturday in mid March 2024 and the place was closed. No indication of opening hours. Maybe because of March break...? But still, we drove 30kms to eat here.
Best cost benefit breakfast on Niagara on the Lake. It offers a typical American breakfast in which a combo platter is more than enough for two people. You can easily have a breakfast for two under 30. Definitely recommend it. Vegetarian options: Available. Dietary restrictions: Not clearly stated. Parking: In the streets nearby. Kid-friendliness: Yes, with a specific menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Excellent food and very cheap for the citys standard, we had breakfast for two people for 35 CAD. The restaurant was quite crowded, but this did not affect the quality of the food or the service. Its definitely worth the visit.
Service was friendly and fast, prices were great, food was tasty and came out quickly and hot. Really nothing but good things to say! Great spot for breakfast!
Like the food. Simple and reasonable price. Service could be better.
When my dad and I were searching for a local spot for breakfast we stumbled upon the stage coach family restaurant. Immediately we re greeted by the waitress and lady behind the grill. Service was quick, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is incredibly charming! I ll happily come back
We stopped here before heading home from our stay for the weekend in NOTL. When we first walked in the woman who greeted us looked annoyed that we were there told us to sit anywhere then proceeded to make us wait five minutes before we even got a menu. When she brought the menus over she slapped them on the table and said coffee. I said no I d like some water thank you and my husband said yes coffee and she walked away. No response to any time we said thank you when asking for something just walked away. It s not like they were super busy when we went at 7 am. There were three other tables. As we were waiting for our food I could see the other woman working the grill and then gasp and my husband asked what, I said she was not wearing gloves and she was touching all the food with her bare hands. He turned around to look as well and was shocked and said yup. Needless to say, I will not be returning because of the waitress s rude attitude towards us for absolutely no reason
Driving around Niagara-on-the-lake on the morning of Xmas eve, we stopped by this diner for brunch. I was really satisfied with both the quality and quantity of food. Must recommend.
10/10 would NOT recommend this place. My sister, her partner, and I came here today (Dec. 27) at around 11:30am, excited to check out the cuuute, local, diner and end our stay at NOTL after staying at a hotel nearby for Christmas. The lovely experience ended there. There was a couple ahead of us waiting to be seated. After about 5 mins they got seated, but there was ZERO acknowledgement that we even existed. ZERO attempts were made by the elderly lady with glasses or the blonde woman. All 3 of us have worked and are working in the industry. A hello or even a nod would have been nice. Or just saying we are a bit busy, Ill get to you in a few minutes would have worked. The second we entered, we heard the older lady complaining to customers how she had to work every. Single. Day except yesterday and how she wasnt happy about that (in less nicer words than that). In my head: Nice. WOW. Ooookaay My sisters partner after no one gave any indication that we existed: should we find another place? but my sister and I had wanted to support this family-run restaurant and told him we should be seated soon considering a table just left. So after another 15 minutes of us trying to catch their eye, another group joined us by the door. The two ladies were by the till (literally next to the door where we all were standing) and I was just observing and the elderly one says in a mock whisper Why do they keep looking at me?! And both women look up and I make eye contact HALLELUJAH! Eye contact! FINALLY! I guess they werent expecting me to answer so I say were just waiting to be seated. The blonde one goes off and points at herself and the older woman and says Theres only TWO of us here working! Someone obviously got caught acting/talking poorly... I just stated a fact and hadnt even raised my voice. My sister, her BF, and myself looked at each other and we didnt even need to say a single word as we turned and walked out. Hopefully the couple after us, did too. Glad we didnt support this restaurant that definitely needs their 2 servers to take a course in BASIC Customer Service and a crash course in How to be friendly 101 We gladly found another local diner to support and who greeted us right when we walked through the door. Stagecoach Family Restaurant left an unfortunate sour taste and ending to what had been a friendly, cute stay in NOTL.
food prep was fast, food is standard (in a good way) dinner food; sadly, the waiters are pretty busy so its hard to get refills
Been here before Staff is great We had breakfast and it was hot & good Food : 5/5
Great breakfast dishes at moderate prices with super friendly service. This is a place where locals in the know meet for breakfast.
A lovely and friendly place for a good breakfast. A must try!
Reasonably priced breakfast. No frills eggs and pancakes, but edible when in a pinch for a place to eat The sausage was over cooked and dry.
Breakfast here was amazing! Best blueberry pancakes Ive ever had, eggs cooked perfectly and friendly service. Even the atmosphere felt like sitting in a little diner in the middle of a Hallmark movie. This will be our go to breakfast from now on when we visit.
Great diner food! Sandwiches were delicious and huge portions. All day breakfast is served as well. Reasonably priced and we left happy and full.
Love such spots. All day breakfast and great coffee.
Been coming here for over 40 years. Always good !
We love The Stagecoach.
I got the spinach and feta omelet and added bacon and marble cheese .it was delicious, I let my wife try it and her comment was she is coming back to get an omelet Next time lol
Best place in town for breakfast
soo much food and I ordered a small salad.
This is family owned business, has old school diner vibes :) pretty wide menu variety, decent prices and generous portions! Went there for breakfast, would recommend chef s plate. Good customer service and free coffee refills, and coffee was good too. Definitely check this place out
Great food. Had a double bacon cheeseburger and was awesome.
This place is awesome. Food and pricing is A1! The two beautiful servers Rita and Alli are amazing. If you dont appreciate great servers who are overworked and keep smiling and show up to a job that needs 4 more servers dont go. Yes you have to wait but its well worth the wait. We totally appreciated these ladies and told them what an amazing job they do. So if you go be really nice to them and tip them well for what they are doing. Just watch how hard they work we can all learn from them. God Bless them and the cooks.
Fantastic service. Alli and Rita are incredible! A bit of a wait but the girls are run off their feet. Food is great. Comes fresh and hot. I ll definitely come back. Kid-friendliness: Families will enjoy it here
Simple but good food, service leaves something to be desired, as the ladies do not have any kind of eye contact or friendliness towards customers
3 or 4 stars, 3 or 4, dilemma, because the prices were really cheap but the home fries were awful. So I went with 4 stars because its a great old school diner with superb prices. The home fries were terrible: they had either been re-cooked (ie re-heated in oil) or the oil they were cooked in wasnt fresh. They were oily, didnt taste fresh, and certainly werent enjoyable. See pic of food.
A great diner right on the main street of Niagara on the Lake!
Great down home food with wonderful service and reasonable prices.
Our favourite restaurant in NOTL. Classic and delicious diner food, generous portions, friendly staff and where the locals go. Highly recommend!
Portions were huge and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Good family restaurant. Service is excellent and food is good.
Got a Reuben on rye + chocolate strawberry milkshake and it was exactly what I expected
Food is amazing Kitchen Staff is even better 100% recommend
Unique place to eat
The wait staff seemed kind of annoyed and rude. They forgot my friends food, then werent able to give her what she actually ordered. no offer to comp it or or discount it or anything. They also told us we had to go inside to the counter to pay but then were bringing the machine out to other tables?? Surprised to see 18-25% as the suggested tip on their machine as the service definitely didnt warrant such a high tip. Sandwich was also extremely dry.
Took 35 minutes to be seated and not because it was busy...cause no one paid attention to the waiting line. They seem to be under staffed... waited for ever to take order and to get food. Food was average but big portions....the coffee cups were also dirty. I will go somewhere else next time...
Terrible customer service - asked the servers for patio. We had a group of 6 and they told us we could position 2 tables together. That didnt even offer to help. The restaurant was at 40% capacity and there were servers just standing around. After taking time moving around the tables. We waited in the sun for 15 minutes until a server came out to take our order. The server (dark hair middle aged woman with the glasses) didnt even apologize for the wait or said any nice welcoming greetings. She just started with okay so what do you want to have? Food took another 15 minutes and we all ordered sandwiches which shouldnt have taken that long. 1 meal was forgotten. There was no acknowledgement of this. They never even came by to ask how the food was out if anything was missing. We had to flag down another server to ask about the food. They indeed had forgotten it and they were out of mashed potatoes for that side. Food came out after another 10 minutes. No discount or anything and no apology. Beef sandwich was extremely dry like a desert .
I felt staff was very aggressive and rude .we were waiting to be seated but they called people behind us ,So thought may be we have not ordered thats why she didnt call us .So i ordered but then she literally told us to get out as we cant be seated because be ordered before .Especially when they see people of colour their tone changes .Staff was yelling at us in front of other customers .
Great food. Great price. Great location in the center of the old town. It s greasy, it s affordable, it s everything wonderful about breakfast. But the charm doesn t end there. Watching the staff is better than any reality show on TLC or Discovery. Could rival Below Deck in terms of drama and intrigue in the hospitality industry. The waitresses genuinely hate each other but they probably share a bottle of rosé after work. They wear their emotions on their sleeves as they run food to the tables and take orders. They quarrel about who gets which tables. They argue about where to seat guests. And they re genuinely annoyed with each other. I m sure they re great friends and probably travel together. But that story is only available on Hulu+ as part of the spinoff.
We were a larger group and were able to be seated outside, however we were a but put off by our experience. It took the server a long time to get us menus and again to order even though the restaurant wasnt very busy (only a couple of tables seated inside and outside our entire visit, however there were two busters, 4 servers and who I believe was the manager standing around). Meanwhile we watched 3 different sets of people come and go when they were seated and offered menus but promptly left after speaking with the servers. When we did order, the food took a while (which is fine, we understand its made to order) but one order was forgotten entirely while everyone got their meals. When they input the forgotten order they didnt have anymore mashed potatoes left, meanwhile we watched another table order it without being told the same thing. The food was sub-par and dry. When paying, we were advised we had to pay inside but we watched other tables pay around us with the machine. They had a default 18% tip out on their already high prices for sub-par food. We paid inside either way. The overall attitude seemed as though the staff were annoyed with our group, looking around it seemed they were all just annoyed and didnt care. Lastly, the bathrooms needed to be cleaned and tended to. There was zero toilet paper in the womens bathroom and I had noticed, as a result people before me were using the paper towel to wrap up their business and toss it in the overflowing trash can beside the toilet. We were disappointed and grossed out. We ended up going to the Starbucks near by to wash our hands and refresh ourselves after as their bathrooms were in horrible condition. The mens bathroom was no better.
Food was solid and well priced. Pretty straightforward for a breakfast place.
Good place for a breakfast spot. The restaurant gets filled quickly, so might be a wait. Other than that, the omelet was overcooked. 6 slices of bacon breakfast was fantastic. The toast was on point. Wish we had a chance to sit outside.
No wonder locals at the falls said this place was worth the 30-minute drive here. The food was amazing, just a simple tuna melt and a Ruben with poutine delicious. The family is hilarious and sweet. Id drive from Florida again just to hang out here and eat.
Amazing food, highly recommend. Friendly and very fast service. Did not wait long for anything. You will have a great experience here.
Great breakfast spot. Although we kinda got forgotten about after seated, the staff were super nice and apologetic about it. The food was great and our server was fantastic. Oh and the home fries are so good!!!!
Cute place to have breakfast. Food and service were great too.
Great food and we had a very attentive waitress
Busy place. Food was good. Spinach &feta and the Greek omelette was delicious and they were very generous with the feta cheese. Pancakes were good. Hungry man special was good. The coffee was terrible. The service made the experience not enjoyable. The waitresses were not organized and not pleasant to deal with. They forgot to bring a couple of parts of our orders. We had to ask multiple of times for them to bring us a glass of water.
Stopped for lunch on a day trip
This restaurant stays busy. Its home cooked comfort food. In my opinion it was the best restaurant for breakfast and for value.
Friendly service and good food. Will come back again.
Old style restaurant for brunch or burger. The food is okay but nothing special. There are maybe other better choices in that area
Really good food and service was extremely fast always made sure we had drinks and had hot food within 5 minutes of sitting down.
Solid breakfast in Notl, good service and atmosphere
Good all day breakfast in a popular crossroads in NOTL. I can still get a table without waiting on Saturday morning. The food is good. The pancakes are thick and good. The price is reasonable in tourist area.
Great portions and delicious food. Definitely go here for lunch!
Fantastic.
Very bad service, very dirty, many flies.
Food was good Waitress had personality of a Wet Mop, Wont be back
Waited an hour for our food and didn t even give us water when we asked.
Bad service
Breakfast was just ok but service not so good
This is a must visit
Love the home cooking. My favorite place to stop for lunch. Fair prices too! Cant wait to go back!
Worst customer service I ve ever experienced. Staff is extremely rude. We waited over 30 mins to just get our order taken. Food is mid not worth our time that was wasted.
We arrived shortly after 2pm on a weekday and was seated right away. The place was neither busy or empty. The first thing we noticed were the bugs (house flies and fruit flies everywhere). What we ordered - waffles with fruit, cheeseburger, fish burger and Canadian bacon sandwich. First two are pictured, didn t bother taking pics of the other two dishes. Extremely overpriced for the quality of what they serve frozen burgers with processed cheese. Waffle tasted doughy and not fluffy. Fries were over cooked and dry. We had to flag down someone to give us cutleries after we got our meals served. Deeply disappointed
The Guinness was excellent.
The service is very slow, the food is not tasty, the overall impression is bad. The interior is terrible
Good service, good price and good food. We liked the serving of two eggs with Canadian bacon and home fries, and the bagel with cream cheese. Good coffee too.
Everything was great for breakfast except the omelettes they used cheese slices in it.
A village that may be a bit unfamiliar to Koreans. It was so pretty that my wife loved it. I really enjoyed eating local Canadian food. However, because there are so many customers, waiting is standard and the staff are very busy...
Family restaurant. The interior has not been renovated for about 30 years. Cracks on the walls and on the ceiling. Abode of flies. Flies are everywhere: on lamps, on tables, on food. About food. French fries and wings are ok. Caesar salad is a sauerkraut slathered with a cheap store-bought garlic sauce. The sprite has a moldy taste due to poor quality ice. The water filters for ice must have been changed a long time ago. The toilet is dirty. In the corner is a huge black garbage bag. The floor is wet. Announcements are written on paper by hand. The child did not want to be there. First and last time we were in this restaurant.
Arrived on a Monday 2pm. Party of 7 wants sit at the porch. There were two separated table one for 4, one for 2. We asked if we can just sit 3 on the table of 2. One server said it would be okay and move a chair to the table of 2 to make it 3. When we all sat down, someone came and said they cant move the chair. We felt we are not welcome. If you look like an Asian, dont come to this place. You will be treated differently!
I was no Niagara on the lake this Sunday that has just passed. The stage coach was still open, it was 4:30 pm in the afternoon. The front doors opened, people were eating and the sign did not say close therefore I went into the doorway, right away the staff says were closed and continues talking to her co-worker. I never see your times displayed anywhere on your restaurant, but online to state that on Sundays you are open until 5:00 pm ,again did I mention that I was in your doorway @ 4:30 pm Sunday and your staff turned me away and its not the first time this has happened to me at your restaurant, she has done it many times to us. If your doors are open , then you are open. If your doors are closed with your sign saying closed then you are closed. Your staff should never say that to customers trying to come into your restaurant if your doors are open. I realize you are open early for breakfast and thats your choice, but you are in a town where there are a lot of people. You could be making large money if you are open for dinner. Hire more staff if you need to, but at least stay open until you state online and thats until 5:00 pm. I dont care if thats only a half hour, you are open and no one should be turned away, like I was on Sunday. Even if you have 15 mins. left and the doors are open, then you are open. Do you understand the concept of open & close and when you put time either on your business or online you heed to honour that with your customers. You have a very poor running business. The sad thing is ya you have good food, but very bad workers.
Its a diner but the staff and food and the portions are worth having a meal here
Hands down the worst customer service by far. It took 10 minutes to get menus, they were literally thrown on the table. Coffee was 15 minutes. Had asked for a glass of water 3 times. Getting a 2nd cup of coffee 30 minutes in. Staff were near the front till eating, saying they were too busy eating. Food was meh.
The waitress ignored our table for a straight hour after ordering so quickly. Never got our drinks of water the whole time. It wasn t even that busy for an excuse. There are a bunch of flies everywhere . Just rude here. Food is only just okay
Best restaurant in notl! Excellent food, very clean, best service, great prices! Keep up the great work girls!!
Food was okay - potato s lacked flavor. Service was also strained at times though it was very busy.
I never leave a google review as I am never really sure if anything comes from them, but this experience warranted one. It was a combination of not being greeted and waiting nearly 15 minutes for a server to finally notice us just to come over and say what do you want? , our food sitting in the pass long enough for one of the line cooks to announce loud enough for us to hear whose food is this? It s been sitting here for a long time , never being quality checked after we asked that our food be, at the very least, warmed up for us, and without a doubt the worst service I have ever experienced. I ve served for 10+ years and understand that being in the weeds is an awful feeling, but a smile and asking a customer if you can get them anything while they wait for their food to (likely) be microwaved could have gone a long way in this moment. We were beginning our search for quaint places for our small wedding party to go on our wedding weekend for meals outside of what we are providing, and it s unfortunate to write off what could have been a really sweet place. However, i feel it is super important to add that the younger blonde gentleman at the cash was the kindest, sweetest, and most helpful person there. Thank you for noticing our coffee cups needed filled, for bringing the water we had asked for but never received, and for the good laugh on the way out! YOU will, without a doubt, make an incredible server one day!
Friendly staff and great food.
We love coming to the Stagecoach for Breakfast. The staff treat you like family. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
Stopped in today for lunch. Food was great, prices were good, and the service was excellent! Id recommend the Stage Coach, and will return!
Great menu and service. Good spot to grab a bite to eat when in the area.
Had a Veggie Omelette with fries and toast, which was good. The service on the other hand was unfortunately not the greatest. Waited for 10-15 min before a server noticed us. We had to ask for cutlery. Quite slow service which was weird because it wasn t busy when we went it at about 2:30.
Would give 0 if we could. Waited a long time to be seated even when there s lots of open tables. Finally got seated then got ignored by the wait staff after waving them down and getting eye contact. Very disappointed.
Delicious hearty breakfast and friendly service.
Nice people but poor quality of food. Home fries were frozen not fresh. Brown gravy must of come from a can.
Guys, just don t eat here! I ve had a stomach ache after eating here today for lunch and I ve been up all night dealing with being sick. Couldn t even eat dinner because my stomach felt so gross after eating here. The food was more like slop. It wasn t the worst I ve ever had but it was close. They stop letting people sit out on the patio an hour and a half or so before closing. They also put away all their ice cream around this time. They were putting away the patio furniture, table condiments, etc. while we were eating, although they didn t close for almost an hour. All this was so disruptive to our dining experience and didn t provide much in terms of quaintness. They all seemed more interested in rushing, it was just a very weird vibe, which is unfortunate because they ve been there a long time. There are so many other restaurants around that area that I wish I d tried instead. Just an all around GROSS experience. Do yourself favor and just eat somewhere else.
Good food, fair prices (for Niagara on the lake), excellent service. They even let me order the Club sandwich and I m not even a member!
The Stage Coach is my very favourite place to enjoy breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The food is tasty and hearty and the staff are simply wonderful! Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking outside and restaurant on the ground level with no steps.
I love it here. The food is amazing. Staff is amazing. Everyone is very welcoming its nice and warm

Place is looking tired and needs an update but food is plentiful and tasty. Staff is great.
Its an old diner with lots of charm. The service was fast and the food was FRESH! If youre not into diner food dont go but if youre looking for some classic eats it was very very good.
The food was very good. I was surprised how reasonable the prices were. Id recommend it, for sure!
Kind of a diner inside and a decent patio outside. Lots of breakfast items like omelettes and a good selection of sandwiches. It looks like they have a high volume of patrons. The wait staff seemed a bit stressed today. Prices are very reasonable. Vegetarian options: Lots available including vegetarian omelettes.
Good service, Decent food. Nice place. But, that ceiling is scary! Has it been checked by a regional structural engineer lately?
Fantastic!
Great food at appropriate prices. We each had an omelette with toast and lots of home fries. Small town diner feel is what we were looking for. Service was quick, staff efficient but not that friendly unless you were a regular. Had to ask twice for coffee refill.
If you want to eat something local then Stage Coach should be your go to place. We had cheese omelette which filled us up really nicely.
Excellent Breakfast!! Excellent Service!! In this time of high inflation, great value for reasonable prices.
Everything brunch at a diner should be! Yummy food with fast and friendly service.
Great place for a great breakfast
The service at Stage Coach hasnt changed in 30 years, friendly staff, quick service.
