Masaki Sushiπ£ is open for takeout and indoor dining! An innovative addition to Niagaraβs culinary scene, where using only the finest seafood brought straight from Japan. Our Executive Chef provides an authentic yet modern Japanese cuisine experience that rivals the Sushi restaurants of Tokyo. The serene setting and atmosphere at Masaki is the perfect complement to our Chefβs beautiful creations. We invite you to come, connect with friends and share a meal that is truly an experience.
If you are a true lover this place will allow you to experience the finest of the finest sushi - it is a little pricey for everyday sushi but if you are something to celebrate or you just want to spoil yourself or your loved ones this is the place to visit. You can dine in which is an experience on its own or you can call ahead and take out - (they pack it for you well) and you can enjoy it as you would in house. They have a sake flight which is amazing! It's their specialty - many different types of sake pair with delicious creative sushi. The staff are friendly, they do get very busy (yes the secret is out!); but it is worth the wait if you really want to enjoy yourself. It is not in the busy part of NOTL.. so you can sometimes find parking and it can be a break from the hustle and bustle. The sushi itself - is fresh.. just like how you would in Japan. I would travel for this on demand any day, any time. Enjoy! .. almost forgot their dessert is NOT your regular dessert - a MUST try!
Amazing sake collection - one of the most extensive and unique selections Iβve seen in Canada. Thank you to Yoshi-san, our absolutely amazing sommelier, for giving us an hour long lecture on different sakes. Food is also good but my gosh, the sake is excellent.
I highly recommend this restaurant, the few dishes I ordered tasted great, the ingredients were fresh and the service was awesome. If you come here and happen to like Japanese food you can come and try it.
What a great addition to the NOTL restaurant landscape! The fish was delicious and very fresh, and the portions were perfect - you definitely get your money's worth. We ordered the shiromi carpaccio, sashimi lunch special and sushi lunch special. The shiromi carpaccio was served over a large portion of greens, and the ponzu sauce was wonderfully balanced with umami, tart and sweetness.
Loved our dinner at Masaki Sushi tonight, after a show at the Shaw festival! We ordered 4 kinds of rolls, miso soup, and the sesame icecream, but we ended up taking home some of the food, as the rolls are quite large and the portions sizes are very generous! Delicious food for a very reasonable price, nice venue and excellent service, highly recommended!
Itβs like having Japanese food in Japan but youβre in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario Canada. Still the best Japanese resto in the Niagara region. No one can match the freshness, service and quality that this place brings. Been our fave since we moved in town in 2015. What more do I need to say. Oh yes! The sake selection is par none.
We had lunch here after visiting the falls. Even though upon entry we were warned that service would be slow, to our Dutch standards service was perfectly fine and the food great. The staff is very friendly and the food exquisite. Would definitely recommend.
Dined at Masaki Sushi today and had a fantastic experience. We ordered the Yam Roll and Avo Roll, both of which were delicious and freshly made. The Japanese Sesame Seed Ice Cream was a delightful new flavor for our palate. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent food and service. Highly recommend!
If you are able to, the 12-shot Sake Flight is totally worth it. The sake sommelier is such a great person who is really enthusiastic and really knowledgeable. The only thing thats sad is that we now want sake we have no idea how to get access to normally. The hot stone meals are also amazing. The Wagyu just melts in your mouth.
A really pleasant experience having a birthday dinner here. I especially enjoyed the sake tasting experience - one of the best experiences Ive had. The person serving us was very knowledgeable about the sake he served and pleasant to talk to.
Dined here on a Friday evening in October celebrating a birthday. Food and service was excellent. Will be back 100%. Parking is a challenge but that s normal for a weekend in NOTL.
Their tempura was amazing, would highly recommend
This place is an experience. You have to try it.
Friendly, efficient, food is excellent quality, pricing is very reasonable. Went 2 nights in a row
Amazing authentic sushi. Aburi sushi was very good.
Authentic Japanese restaurant in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We had a nigiri selection and the Masaki roll - everything was fresh and delicious. The karaage chicken was tasty and not greasy. The sake selection is huge. I opted for the Nabeshima New Moon which was really smooth. Staff were friendly and service was prompt.
Very nice sushi
Fabulous food and atmosphere.
My husband and I recently had our 3-course wedding dinner here and it is one of the best decisions we made! We are pretty picky about sushi quality, but Masaki is top tier. The fish is so fresh, and our apps and dessert were delicious as well. Our only regret is not ordering the chirashi bowl for our main course. Some of our other guests had it and it looked amazing! Jodi and Sydney were absolute rockstars in planning the dinner including helping me with the seating chart and placecards. Also, a huge thank you to the manager, the chef, and all the waitstaff for their hard work! We cant wait to come back for more good sushi!
I am an avid sushi eater. Hands down one of the best meals I have ever had. I would come back to Niagara on the Lake just to eat here again.
Great atmosphere and even better dishes!
Amazing service, and such a nice people. Food was awesome! Visited at the end of September 2024. Will definitely come back
Im not sure you can find better sushi than at Masaki grill. The staff are over the top kind and helpful. The atmosphere is a serene setting where you feel at peace while enjoying your meal... Wish I could give them 6 stars !
We always enjoy our time here, favourite sushi in the area!
Absolutely fantastic food, excellent service, incredible staff
Great food selection and choices. The pork belly dish is really good
Best sushis we have ever had
Food was absolutely exceptional! Chef select takes the hassle out of debating what to have and everything was wonderful, highly recommended!! Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible for wheelchairs due to several steps
We read so many positive reviews and were so looking forward to something special. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience. First off, the atmosphere wasnt very appealing as the restaurant is located in the basement of the Moffat Inn. The walls were pretty bare - had some Japanese artwork but blended into the walls. The lighting was standard ... just didnt have the warmth. After being seated, we waited 10 minutes til a waitress came over to greet us and offer water. We didnt order sushi but the bistro dinners (maybe a mistake on our part). The meals were not spectacular. My wife ordered the Spicy Sashimi Salad appetizer & Gindara dinner. The presentation of the salad was very disappointing with fake crab pieces at the side. My wife can usually handle spicy food but this dish was simply too spicy. Her main course had 2 small pieces of cod and large amount of tempura. I ordered the Yaki Niku Don ... there was a good amount of beef but it was quite salty. I also tried one of their sake flights where you get to sample 3 different versions of sake. Im not an expert in this field but usually when I have sake, it is served warm or cold. Unfortunately, the sake was served at room temperature so perhaps this contributed to the fact I wasnt wowed by the wine. Our server was good & attentive but the food was not worth the money spent.
Very tasty food and nice service. Ive been to a few Japanese restaurants but this restaurant was particularly good and inexpensive. I can only recommend it, especially if you want to eat something more refined!
The food is very fresh and tasty. Very clean that s not often to see in Canada. Not crowded. I loved the service as well. Food
Very fresh sashimi and outstanding customer service.
Everything was very high quality.
Everything is perfect! We are also Asians and we enjoy the time here!
Stunning place, amazing food just outstanding. The adults and the children flew over the place
Made reservations for dinner as we had tickets to the Shaw Festival which was a 3 minute walk away. While it is located on a basement level, the decor and ambiance was modern. We received a warm welcome and were quickly seated. Our server, Haina, was very friendly. The wakame salad was refreshing and the agedashi tofu was served in a delicious broth. We ordered the salmon lover in addition to two maki rolls which were good but nothing stood out. A manager came by during our dinner to ask if everything was okay which we appreciated. Overall a lovely dining experience.
The best freshest sashimi Ive had in my life. So filling too. The staff are exceptionally polite.
The ingredients are very good Nigiri Sushi is super delicious, my favorite is the sweet and sour rice It has its own house soy sauce. The beef rice is also great, the meat is very tender. Udon is delicious too
Great sushi in Niagara on the Lake. Food was fresh and of high quality. Restaurant was a little busy due to the long weekend. Food : 5/5
Very good food and fantastic advice on sake with a small sample. Very attentive service. We felt very comfortable and can only highly recommend the restaurant.
Great meal at Masaki - a must visit in NotL. Our server Tomoko was knowledgeable and provided top-notch service.
Best sushi is Niagara! Their lunch sashimi special was amazing. Coming back from Japan recently most sushi places just made me sad but their dish was super high quality <3
Everything was amazing! The best sushi we have ever had and for such a fair price! The service and ambiance was amazing! We will definitely be returning!
Authentic food, very well prepared and presented by gracious, professional servers. Wide selection of saki and other drinks.
A wonderful sushi experience!
Fantastic
This is always so perfectly delicious with friendly and efficient service.
Very authentic Japanese food, the sushi was AMAZING, they have a lot of options on sake, even pairings and flights, our only comment its with the interior design its a bit soulless but the food its really something. Like like
The food was incredible, the waitress was so nice, and the restaurant itself was so clean :)
Honestly, the best Sushi I ve had every time. I frequent often as the food is so fresh. The quality is superb. Staff are always extremely professional and pleasant. One of my favourite places to dine. Definitely highly recommended
EBI Mayo was super delicious. Overall, food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. Thank you! EBI Mayo was super delicious. Overall, the food, service and atmosphere of the place were excellent. Thank you!
Came here to try out based on previous reviews. Atmosphere: beautiful decor, simple design, on the dark side, and in the basement, but bright lighting but the Japanese art makes it warm. Shiromi (white fish) carpaccio with roe was fresh, well flavoured with ponzu, no fishy taste. Rolls: vegetarian, tuna and Masaki roll was all tasty, well balanced with some vegetables. The Masaki roll was torched which brought out the smokey taste that balanced the double fish (scallop and salmon). Food mate had the karaage- crispy and tasty but sauce was mayo based (not my taste). Also got the Japanese tea the at came in an authentic cast iron tea pot. Cost: rolls $10-$19 per roll. Shiromi Carpaccio $21. Only criticism, a little cold downstairs. Overall: Would return, fresh fish and good atmosphere with good service. Only wish I stayed longer for more food. Really 4.5* Dietary restrictions: Gluten free soya sauce
Amazing food, staff are always pleasant and happy to help.
One of the best restaurants in Niagara area. Low key and authentic unlike the other tourist traps. Fav dish is the aburi platter. It s one of the best seared sushi I ve had. The sauce on the beef bowl is also really good.
It was sooooo good! The place is cute, stylish and super tasty. Best sushi I have ever tried.
My favorite sushi place near Buffalo. Yes, its worth the drive. Only less than an hour.
my favourite sushi place!! definitely the place to go for a nice romantic dinner, food is absolutely amazing and the staff are always so nice and attentive!!
Soooo good just overall! Service was great and food was great
First timers here with a lot to say... Excellent sake flights. Excellent Wagyu (cooked on a stone plate) Excellent Pork Belly (stone plate as well) Excellent Sashimi. Outstanding service and atmosphere. 10/10 highly recommend.
This is such a beautiful restaurant with delicious fish. My husband and I shared the sashimi and sushi platter and it was exceptional. We really liked the tuna, hamachi, and scallop nigiri. Our server was incredibly friendly and talked us through the aromatic and premium sake flights we each ordered. She even encouraged us to take a picture of the bottle labels so we can find the ones we loved again when were shopping. We will absolutely be coming back here the next time we are in the area!
Really good food and service was great.
Such a great relaxing experience after a 3 hour bike ride. The miso and udon broth were deep and complex. All ingredients were fresh and of high quality. Visually- such care was taken in creating artistic and inviting dishes. Highly recommend!
A small but attractive Japanese restaurant with good food and a varied menu and friendly waiters but a bit expensive
Super friendly people and excellent food. Already the miso soup is intense and generous. The California rolls are fantastic (we ordered a second round because they were too good!). Kindness in the people and in the food. Done with care and love.
The food is fresh but on the expensive side ($50 for an appetizer and entree).
Delicious! I got the spider roll and the dragon roll, both were great! There was a good amount of meat and sauce on both the rolls. Service was also great! It had a quiet, relaxing atmosphere as well.
Had dinner at Masaki. Wonderful flavourful authentic food! Seafood bowl was very filling and large portion. Server was amazing and friendly. Highly Recommend!!
Expensive but excellent
Great sushi restaurant!!
We were in a hurry and they were very accommodating of the rush and of my husbands vegetarian requirements. Food was delicious.
Excellent service and outstanding Sake experience!
Exceptional time at Masaki Sushi! It was a busy Sunday night, but our server Jenny was very attentive and kind. The fish tasted so fresh and the flavors of the rolls were amazing.
We decided to come to this restaurant for the first time we visited Niagara on the lake since there were a lot of good reviews. There were only 2 tables ahead of us but after ordering, we had to wait for about 20-25 mins for the food to come out, then when we finished and requested the bill to pay, the server brought the bill over then left to serve other tables, took us another 10-15 mins of waiting just for her to bring the card machine. The atmosphere was nice but the food was mediocre. I saw some people left after sitting for a while but weren t served anything. Not really worth the hype and expectation!
Best Japanese dish in GTA
Had a great experience sitting at the bar. The chef-selected sashimi plates were generous and beautiful. The highlight was a trio of meats served along with a hot stone to grill at your own leisure and to your own taste: wagyu, tenderloin, and pork belly. It was a match made in heaven. Tip: do the wagyu first (but quickly!) because the fat will then prevent the tenderloin from sticking to the stone. Server was wonderfully good natured and let us enjoy a slow paced evening of various sashimi: the worlds perfect, low-carb small-plates! Dietary restrictions: Keto friendly Low carb friendly Paleo friendly Carnivore friendly
Great food, nice music and comfortable suite. We ordered 1 Una Don, 1 seafood bowl and 1 aburi Sushi. Feels much more wonderful to dine in the restaurant , compared with order from Uber eats.
If your in NOL this is the stop to have dinner.
Great sushi, friendly service, clean. Would return :)
Masaki is a great restaurant. The food was amazing, the service was amazing. The menu is a little overpriced, however. But overall, I recommend!
Food is incredible! Staff all very friendly! Especially Minh!!!
Very attentive and welcoming staff. Good high quality sushi. Had a wonderful time!
The food and service was exemplary. We were a late for our reservation and they were extremely accommodating and friendly out the gate. The salmon is extremely fresh and the food portions pretty large. A must visit in NOTL. Our waitress Minh was lovely and very attentive.
This is our favourite sushi place! The sushi is always so delicious and fresh. They make their own soy sauce and green tea and the spider rolls are our fave. The servers and staff are always so friendly and provide exceptional service. Highly recommend Masaki Sushi! Vegetarian options: Avocado roll, cucumber roll, yam tempura roll Parking: Seasonally gets busy so you might need to walk a bit
Amazing staff. Food is phenomenal. A place you have to experience!!
Horrible experience, some Japanese members in our family and we were treated like dirt. Seems like there were some seniors and other groups who probably live in the area and frequent the place who got special treatment. Spent close to $400 on Mother s Day dinner and left starving. Super overpriced and skimpy dishes. In Toronto, I get ikura, chutoro, scallop and amaebi AND uni in ANY sashimi platter. Super expensive for how little fish you get. Just drive to Toronto and get fresher, authentic and very plentiful sushi elsewhere! You will not be catered too here. Looks pretty but it was a ripoff and nothing special
Great place, authentic food and personal service. This is not an all you can eat fast food sushi place, its fresh prepared well made Japanese cuisine. We very much enjoyed it and will be back.
Great tasty
Dined in on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy but service was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and portions were enough to share between 2 people. We also had a sake tasting; we were appreciative that our waitress, Shiho, was knowledgeable about the sake and took the time to walk us through the different drinks. The interior was clean and modern. We found the prices were reasonable for the area. We will definitely be returning and can easily recommend this restaurant.
The best sushi I have ever eaten . It tastes it looks and it is premium !!! The restaurant is a small trip to Japan . The ambience is amazing , everything is spotless to the last detail . Great hidden gem !!
Madaki Sushi is a hidden gem. Been there several times and each time, the staff is extremely attentive and very nice. The food is amazing. Its a must for any sushi lover. This is a must stop for me every time Im in the area.
We had a great experience. The Edamame was absolutely phenomenal. All the food was very fresh and we quite enjoyed ourselves. With some sake it does come with a steep price I would say, but the quality is on point. Thank you for a great experience. We will return after saving up. Thank you again Weve also had their sushi at the outlet mall when they were doing this simply. Niagara food thing
Had a great experience at Masaki. Food was unreal and service was excellent!
One of the best sushi places I have ever been to! The manager there, Yoshi is the sweetest person I have ever met. The servers deliver such amazing service and go above and beyond to make your experience, a memorable one! The hospitality and the food is just next level and I can taste the freshness in every dish that is prepared! This place is going to be my go to every time I am passing by this town!
Well the food is ok, nothing special, just an average sushi restaurant. Service was good, everything was clean. Food is a little bit over priced. And 60 dollars 15 pieces sashimi was a surprise, and they taste like 2 dollars a piece sashimi at most.
Always our go to when we are in NOTL. Super fresh and outstanding service.
This is some of the best sushi Ive had ... Ever! Exceptional quality and taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it.
Every time we visit Niagara on the Lake, we eat at Masaki Sushi. It is by far the best tasting sushi we ve ever had. The specialty sushi s are incredible. We look forward to our next visit!
Excellent authentic Japanese cuisine. The service was fantastic as well.
This place tries to present itself as a high end sushi place. There is absolutely nothing high end about it. Not the environment. Not the food. Not the service. The taste of the food falls flat. There is absolutely no ambiance. The food is pricey but zero creativity involved. Waitress was not well-versed in the menu. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
If you want something different, something Asian, Masaki Sushi is the choice! The Sashimi was very fresh and flavourful. Nabeyaki Udon has real scallop, shrimp, mussel and top with soft boil egg!! It was YUMMMY! Kids loved the Tempura Udon. The servers are very friendly and accommodating.
Great staff and tasty food. Large sake menu
best sushi since I was actually in Japan. Service is 10/10. More on the expensive side but definitely worth it
Genuinely the best Japanese food/Sushi I have had outside of Japan. The service was fantastic - warm, welcoming and attentive. We had a selection of different starters, along with the premium sushi plate and each item was just as good as the last. Would not hesitate to return. Be sure to try the lobster miso soup! Its worth it!
We had a great time here. We did the Sommelier tour of 10 sake. It was amazing. Had some great sashimi and sushi. Thank you to all the folks there. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Very good quality sushi. Favourite of the night was the aburi platter
The best Sushi restaurant in the Niagara region. Selection of Sake was excellent, and the sommelier educated us on the availability and provided us samples to try.
While visiting in March 2023 the area recently we decided to change our usual lunch place and try Masaki Sushi and oh wow, it was a great idea. Good food, excel service, I will go back again !
Excellent! Great service & great food!
Exceptional service and food quality. Flavourful dishes. Amazing experience overall
Friendly staff. The fish are fresh. Recommended.
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday, exceeded all expectations we couldve had for a dining experience. The miso soup, spicy sashimi salad and agedashi tofu were amazing starters - bigger portions than what we had expected as well. Then the pork belly and Masaki roll for mains were phenomenal. As someone who has spent years in kitchens and has a love for all foods, this was one of the best meals weve ever had in our lives. Top notch service and worth every minute and penny. Cannot wait to come by again for another great meal. Thank you to the staff and chefs.
Good presentation of each dish I ordered. Good quality of food. The waitress was very helpful and informative about the dish as well. Very recommended. This is not a place for anybody who looks for quantity.
The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. I will be back for sure.
Outstanding food and service. Rather pricey. But worth it. On the critique side, a note to the management: at this high level of culinary mastery (and price) it is important to also pay attention to minute details, like ripped corners of the tables. And lack of privacy separators between urinals in the toilet. Would definitely come again. Recommend.
5 stars for high level food and outstanding service
Best tuna I ever had.
Highly recommend You can find high quality sashimi and wagyu in Masaki Sushi, actually you should try every single dish here, everything to me is perfect. Ive been to Masaki Sushi 4 times, from food to service, they deserve 5 stars.Besides ordering rolls, try their premium sushi plate, premium sushi, Wagyu on hot stone, oyster shooter, Aburi Pork Belly...
Thank you Masaki Sushi for another wonderful meal! Absolutely fantastic! The team at Masaki Sushi sure knows how to deliver a great dining experience. I have visited the restaurant twice now, once for dinner with a group and once with my wife for lunch. On both occasions the food, the cocktails, the service and the ambiance were excellent. Front of house is friendly, attentive and helpful with describing the menu and the lovely selection of sake. The food is beautifully presented and tastes amazing. Masaki Sushi is well worth the visit, I know Ill be going back soon!
Masaki Sushi has left the best impressions. They have a very good service. Menu offers a wide variety of choices and the quality of food was really good. The appetizers were delicious. The restaurant is a must when in Niagra on the lake
Excellent sushi. A bit pricy as this is in a tourist area, but the service and food made up for it
Best meal we had at Niagara-On-The-Lake! This is such a hidden gem. Our family of four had a wonderful dinner experience here. We had the tuna tartare, sake flight, sushi rolls, and the A5 Wagyu that we seared ourselves on a hot stone plate. Service was exceptional -- they even have their own sake sommelier. 5 stars all around. Kid-friendliness: Although they did not have a kid menu, they were able to offer options that a picky eater would be more than happy with.
Food was great, the service was good, and the place was clean. Good time, good experience.
Great place! The staff is very attentive and friendly. Excellent food quality. I definitely recommend visiting Masaki Sushi!
The service was good. Food was disappointing. Soup too salty and scallops were overcooked, not worth the price.
Food so flavourful I was in my glory just as it was! No need for soy or additional flavors
We had an out of this world experience at Masaki sushi tonight! All of the food was delicious (especially the fresh oysters and the Masaki roll), but the stand out was definitely their in-house Sake Sommelier who will lead you through a truly incredible tasting experience with some of the best Sake I have ever had - I highly recommend!
Very good sushi. Beautiful fish plates. The premises are minimalist, in the basement.
Fantastic sushi. Highly recommended.
Amazing food, service, and atmosphere located in the perfect area on the main street in Niagara on the Lake. Sushi, maki rolls, and beef wagyu were absolutely delicious and our waitress was exceptional. Will definitely come back!
Recommended dishes are great.
Delicious food and customer service is great
The Aburi Pork Belly and Ebi Mayo were excellent Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating for plate sharing Food : 5/5 |
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu available. Food
Not a family friendly restaurant. We went there for lunch, walking in seeing only two tables occupied. When we asked if they could accommodate two families each with two kids they out right said no even if we were willing to sit at separate tables. They also told us the sushi bar was not for us when all 9 seats were empty. They could have made it more explicit on their website if it is adult only. I felt discriminated against and insulted. The attitude was also cold and unwelcoming. Very rude.
Delicious food! The salmon sashimi melted in the mouth. The local white Riesling was great tasting and perfectly chilled. The sushi with crab was so delicious that we ordered extra! Our children aged 8 and 10 were also super enthusiastic :-) Service was also great. Thanks for the great evening!
The Aburi Sushi and Pork Belly was so delicious. Our best meal in NOL!
The place was amazing! We didnt have a reservation, but the waitress was kind enough to accommodate us within 15 minutes. This place is kind of a hidden gem, located literally in the basement of the building! What a nice experience! The food was delicious! And service was nice and quick! The ambiance was great too!
Beautiful little spot in Niagara on the lake. Its absolutely worth the drive. Service was lovely, food was glorious, prices were fair and worth it. Lets get back to the food. Sashimi was fantastic. Shrimp was perfect, and the bowl was delicious and perfectly cooked.
Very fresh sushi, friendly staff, lunch menu is a good bargain.
Great service and yummy food
Delicious food and kind & friendly staff!
We had really delicious sushi and friendly service.
Best sashimi dinner ever and I have had a few! Very artistic presentation. The place is small and a little sketchy.
Very average lunch. We ordered the specials, miso soup was lukewarm at best and the skewers were cold. Service and atmosphere is as I always remembered top notch. Sadly the food has gone downhill.
My absolute favourite place for sushi in Ontario
A little expensive
Delicious, authentic sushi. Overpriced.
Simplistic premises in a basement. We went there for dinner. The starter salad was delicious. The sushi (Maki) was good. Good value for money for dinner.
Genuinely incredible food and service - we will be back!!!
I had an incredible experience at Masaki. Amazing location in the beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake. Oustanding food and perfect ambiance (music kept low enough that we could converse and hear each other easily). I need to take a moment to acknowledge the UNBELIEVABLE service at Masaki. I am gluten-free celiac, and the staffs consideration and attention to detail when it came to advising me on menu options and avoiding cross-contamination blew me away! I cant wait to go back for more!
Quality Japanese...
Can stand this up to any sushi restaurant in any major city. It was absolutely delicious. The sake list was extensive and they had a funky sake flight, which gave us some unique pours. Cannot tell you what my favorite food was, it was all amazing. The team was so amazing and friendly as well. Cant go wrong here.
A surprisingly comprehensive sake list! Although I settled for the house junmai. Lovely dinner with exceedingly fine service
I came here with my Family for an early dinner. We originally planned to eat at Niagara s Finest Thai but because we didn t have reservations the wait would be 2 hrs. So as we were walking back towards the sidewalk we noticed Masaki Sushi. It was full but they graciously allowed my family of 4 to eat at the bar. My husband and I both ordered the Aburi Pork Bowl. My kids had vegetable udon soup and salmon avocado rolls. Plus we ordered a side of vegetable tempura. My goodness! The quality of food is astounding!!! I almost had and out of body experience eating the succulent pork on a bed of rice and garden greens. The food was so delicious that I forgot to take pictures of them because we ate it all so fast. It was so yummy!!! Service and hospitality is amazing as well. I will definitely be coming back to this amazing restaurant!!! Thanks Masaki for an incredible meal!!!
The selection of Japanese cuisine and drinks was very good, as was the presentation and freshness of the fish. Service was friendly prompt. I would come again.
Good food, pleasant service, but prices are out of my snack bracket.
Finally, great Sushi in Ontario!
Everything I had here was so good. I would highly recommend this place!
Stopped by here for lunch. It wasn t very busy which is surprising given how good the food is. They have a decent range of Japanese cuisine to choose from and all of it is done quite well. Would recommend for anyone regardless if they re a fan of Japanese food. Service was friendly and even offered recommendations off the menu.
If I could rate higher I would. Came for my birthday and treated ourselves to the Wagyu beef; buttery, delicious. Hubby got his chili chicken don and we split some tempura and dynamite rolls. This place is a top 10, cannot wait to go back. Surprised us with some black sesame icecream topped with a ground cherry, how cool is that?
Really good sushi restaurant. Good service and friendly staff. Portions are generous, but the quality is also there. Kudos to executive chef Lee and the crew running this place! Vegetarian options: Veggie udon.
Masaki Sushi is an absolute delight! The quality of their sushi is top-notch, with every bite bursting with freshness and flavor. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is exceptional. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Whether youre a sushi connoisseur or new to Japanese cuisine, Masaki Sushi is a must-visit. Highly recommended for a delightful culinary journey! Parking: Parking is behind the location.
We love Masaki! It is quiet, service is wonderful and the food is fantastic. We feel so comfortable here. So happy they have expanded the dining room to accommodate walk-ins (although we always reserve). The Tempura Udon is always so generous and flavorful! This time we tried the house specialty sushi: Blushing Salmon roll with a hint of raspberry sauce. One word- wow! A subtle taste explosion. Beef and pork gyoza is also a go-to. Its tender with a fresh ginger tang. Many thanks to Shiho for charmng service. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian, vegan and even gluten free options.
Best sushi in Niagara
Vegetable gyoza was outstanding! Some of the best dumplings I have ever had, lots of flavour and cooked perfectly. Agedashi tofu was not to my liking. The tofu was too large, therefore, the texture suffered. The crispy outside was not enough of a crispy element, it would have been much better offered as smaller pieces. Disclaimer, Im generally not a tofu fan (probably 1st time eating it in 10 years). However, the broth surrounding the tofu was quite tasty. Low point was the yam tempura roll. It seemed like it was cooked previously as there was no crispy texture. Very strange, unenjoyable texture for tempura. The other two vegetarian Maki rolls were quite solid: avocado and vegetable. The green tea was very good. Excellent choice of sake.
