Our winery is a special place, where Winemaker Katie Dickieson and Winery Chef and CityLine personality Jason Parsons work together to create Canada's most innovative wine and food experiences. It’s a place where people come to awaken their palate by celebrating and learning about the many nuances of wine: growing and tasting, pairing and serving, buying and cellaring.
I’ve been to many wine tours before, but this one was by far the best one I’ve been to. We got the best tour guide- Chelsea. She was very knowledgeable, outgoing with a great sense of humour. The wine was delicious and the atmosphere of the place was amazing. Overall 5 star here because of Chelsea. She made our experience memorable!
I visited the Winery on Oct.12nd for the greatest wineray tour. Our guide is Cam, he is very nice and knowledge able. The tour was around 1 hour, I tasted 4 types of wines. The highlight was the cold room at the end of the tour. I tasted the ice wine in the cold room and it is a great place for photoes. I was able to learn quite a lot of knowledge about wine with this tour. I like it a lot.
Went there for a university trip and we got a package of a bit wine tasting + the company’s presentation. At the end we had a taste of ice wine in a -10 Celsius room. The foods was okay, the wines were not good if you compared them with wines from Europe or US. The weather was nice so we also went outside to look at some grapes vines.
We had a wonderful experience at this winery! The 5-course tasting menu paired with their selection of wines was delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and paired perfectly with the wines, enhancing the overall experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the meal. The only slight drawback was that the service was a bit slow at times, but the quality of the food and wine made up for the wait. Overall, highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable culinary experience.
Peller Estates is definitely a must see and experience place. The atmosphere, the views and of course the wine selections are spot on. This was our favorite winery. The only bummer is I was just on the site days after my visit to have wine delivered and I just realized that children 3 and over there is a fee for the 45 minute wine tour. I asked Peter (I think that was his name) the concierge about my two yr old being free and was told I would still need to pay for her. Kind of weird. Had a great time with Chelsea on the tour, thank you so much!
Just incredible. The wine tour, the tastings and the restaurant! Very affordably priced and excellent service by the staff. The only part that could use improvement is their tomato soup as part of the fixed menu. It was a little bit watery for my taste and lacked creaminess. The wine pairings during dinner were PHENOMENAL!
We absolutely loved our trip to Peller Estates! I would recommend it to anyone! We did the Greatest Winery Tour with Monica who was fantastic! She is so knowledgeable and so kind! We also dined at the restaurant, the food and service we received was amazing, all around! There are some seriously great people working here! Thank you!
The food there was exquisite - mouthwatering with every bite. Big shout out to Stan for making our experience so wonderful. Since there isn't a kids' menu, Stan offered suggestions and customized a meal for my little ones. The pleasant interactions, delicious food and breathtaking views of the vineyard made our afternoon very enjoyable. Would definitely visit again!
Visited Peller Estates winery on a weekday in November and was not very busy . Booked Greatest winery tour for 4 and tour started on time with guide giving in depth explanations about the wines to be tried. Tour lasted about 45 minutes and ended with visit to ice cave. Nice igloo style room with plenty of ice wine and nice decor. We continued to wine store/bar and tried additional wines as part of the Wine Club. Very much enjoyed everything.
Excellent service and great dishes!!
Absolutely phenomenal experience! Id give 6 stars if I could. Our taxi driver the night prior suggested the Peller Wine Tour, and thankfully we were able to fit it in on our honeymoon, as the entire experience became our favourite part of our trip! We started with the last tour of the day with Danielle, who was lovely and really knew her stuff! She was friendly, fun, and made the whole tour a great time! Being off season we also got basically a private tour, with only one other couple on the tour with us. The ice wine lounge was so cool (literally and figuratively) - they have winter coats available if you dont have one with you. Following the tour we ended up staying for dinner and we are so glad we did. It has replaced our prior best meal together and best meal ever! Our host was Samantha and server was Jessica, both so kind and smiley and amazing at their jobs. Chef was in, which I believe Danielle mentioned before the tour and said he always puts his flare on the meals, which he really did! We decided to do the chefs 5 course tasting menu, which is entirely a surprise and was INCREDIBLE! We were there for about 2.5 hours total for dinner. I decided to do the wine pairing with it, but let them know no reds as they give me headaches, and I believe the entire menu ended up being slightly accommodated to meet that! Everything was made to order and beyond delicious. The photo of my husband he was eating the entree, which for our meal was duck on a corn puree with roasted seasonal veggies and potatos, and a plum au jus on top. Just wow. Not an everyday meal but SO WORTH the experience for a special day! We will surely be back for a future anniversary
Thank you for a fantastic tasting. Ty our host was very knowledgeable and informative making our experience uniquely enjoyable.
Cam was my tour guide & he was amazing! He really educated my group & I and did a great job at answering all our questions. His customer service & personality 12/10!
Beautiful building, impressive for its majesty and stateliness. It is one of the largest and most prestigious wineries in Canada and Icewine is iconic. We ate at their restaurant, a charcuterie and cheese board as an excuse to try their wines. The place is idyllic and the service very friendly. Good quality and high prices. Recommended if you are a lover of wines and sparkling wines.
My husband and I came here for dinner and had an amazing experience! Both the food and service were a 10/10! We had the pleasure of having Devon as our server. We asked him for a few recommendations on the menu and he did not disappoint. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and friendly! As for food and drink, the ice cuvée rose is an absolute must if you re looking to try one of the Estate s wines. We also had the butternut squash bruschetta, lobster linguine and pork belly dishes and all were delicious and beautifully plated. We hope to visit again soon and would highly recommend a visit here!
It is a magnificent place to visit. Peter is an amazing host. Had a great time there.
Service was terrible. Waited forever to get waited on and then forever for samples. Wine was pretty good
Just another Winery, No Big Deal!!
This place was very nice for wine tastings. We did the tasting and the ice room of the wine. It was like a wine bar. It was about a 45 minute tour and $40 USD per person. I definitely recommend the tour it s short but you can come here and after I would not recommend the restaurant it s a bit pricey and, more less of options and a regular winery. But it s nice to come here for the tour.
A good vineyard, although busy. Prices are high. 4 people - dinner + (4 bottles of wine) $740 CAD with tip - 18%, tip - from 18 to 30%!!! For a vineyard that sells its own wine to the restaurant, without an intermediary, the price is high - double at the restaurant. There are smaller, cheaper wineries with an excellent menu. I think they are victims of their own success. Otherwise, the meals are excellent, the staff are kind.
Closes at 7 but they stop doing tastings at 5:30 and won t allow you to buy a bottle and drink it on premises or they ll confiscate it. We arrived at 6 and could only purchase the souvenir glass. Would not recommend.
We stopped in here and with Nicole as our server, the experience was as nice as the food! We decided on a charcuterie board, with dessert and coffee. All were delicious.
This place was a castle, cheapest bottle 25$
Below our expectations based on previous visits. The service was less than impressive and was the reason for the 3 and not 4. Excellent service could have made the price of the meals bearable but without the service-the meal seemed greatly overpriced. We were charged for two rounds of drinks when we only had one. Our servers comment you ate that fast ; regarding first corse showed the lack of awareness of their service, especially having waited 35mins for our first drinks. One year a star; we ll be back in two. Overall I had fun
Had the pleasure of dealing with Catharine from the wine shop who assisted us during our Tasting Passport. Peller Estates is lucky to have an employee with such a charismatic personality. She was so friendly and positive and had so much information about Peller wines. She made our visit fabulous and feel that Catharine is definitely an asset to your establishment. Will absolutely return. Chris & Marie
If youre doing wine tours around niagara just skip this one. Staff will just pour the wine and walk away. Theres no effort to tell you about their wines, give you information about the winery, or even try and sell you any bottles. With so many better options go spend your money at a place that actually cares that you stopped by.
Excellent tour guided by Chelsea, fine wines and a great shop.
David was so knowledgeable. Thank you for such an informative afternoon!
David was an exceptional tour guide! My friends and I found him engaging, informative and funny! Highly recommend this tour.
Thank you Tyrese for an enjoyable wine tasting experience!
Great food and experience. Stan was our waiter and he was awesome
My family and I ate at Peller s Terrace Wine Bar, couldn t be any more happy! We all were extremely satisfied with the food and the service, very accommodating with food requests, our server was incredibly nice and answered all our questions we had about the menu!!
Wine tour with David our guide was excellent!
Had a family dinner, 15 guests, 9 visiting from Scotland. Arranged the entire event with the help of Janice, from Pellar Estate. It was a magical evening. Alex, our server, was very professional. Thank you Sarah for all your help. The dining room was intimate and the surroundings, beautiful.
Beautiful venue and great wine.
Tour is ok but it is overpriced for what we get, some others wineries offer the same kind of tour between for 25-35$. Personally, I prefer others wineries, I was disappointed for this one
So, upon arrival for our reservation wine tour we were greeted by the hostess. Very nice, explained that after the tour we could eat at either restaurant. So when we tried the outdoor bistro type area, the very young girl very rudely told us we needed a reservation. We explained thats not what were told 40 mins ago before the tour. She had a lot of attitude towards us. Because of her alone, we will Never return here.
We visited here on August 3rd and had a 10/10 experience! You can tell Cam is incredibly passionate about wine and his work. Hes super knowledgeable and such a cool person! Highly recommend for a great wine adventure!
We had the most fabulous experience today at Peller, Chelsea walked us through a tasting and the wines that she shared with our pallet was nothing short of amazing. She was so friendly, outgoing and witty, it made us enjoy our wine that much more thanks to her we will be joining the wine club! Thanks Chelsea!
I had made a reservation for wine tasting in order to introduce friends from Prince Edward County to Peller wines. However, apparently the reservation didn t go through due to a glitch and system. I was told even though it showed in my itmy country wine club member itinerary . The lovely hostess at the front desk was able to make an exception and we were able to go to the estate room. Our Server David went above and beyond to make our experience memorable our guests were thrilled and in return the purchase six bottles Peller Estates premium wines
Just had the most delicious wine tasting experience thanks to David . Never mind how insanely good the ice cuvée is, David s service was over-the-top, his knowledge excellent and his pour generous! We got to keep these beautiful glasses, got a discount on the bottle that followed and he even tracked down bubble wrap and tape for free! Now we can fly back home knowing they ll not break and we can enjoy them for years to come. Cheers David!
The staff helped us through courses and pairings. Mushroom soup was amazing.
Fantastic tour with David at Peller Winery.
The wine tour at Peller Estates with Cam was awesome. Loved the experience. The Ice Wine Igloo is special.
We stayed at the Riverbend Inn vineyard next door and visited Peller Estates for dinner since the Inn closes its Restaurant at the end of September. Riverbend is partners with several wineries, including Peller Estates. One of the perks of staying at Riverbend Is that you can do complementary wine tasting at Peller Estates. The property and building are beautiful and the dining room is very elegant. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful dinner. We started with the Yellowfin Tuna and for our main, we enjoyed the Beef Striploin and Poached Halibut, and it was all delicious. The server and service was great. We were really excited to do the complimentary wine tasting but the seated tasting times were all booked. I called concierge and Joanna was really helpful. She said if there was a cancellation she would call me. She called to say a spot opened up but I wasn t sure we would be able to make the time. She booked us in and said if you can t make it, you can still do a tasting before dinner at the wine shop. There are two reasons for why I didn t do a 5 star review. One is because when we arrived at the wine shop, the staff told us that they were cashing out and we could not do the tasting which was really unfortunate. I explained that we were told we could stop for tasting but his explanation was that they close early on Sundays. The second reason is that when we went to the restaurant, there was no one at the front desk and we waited 10 minutes and when she did arrive, she was not friendly. I proceeded to tell her about our experience at the wine shop and she shrugged her shoulders and was dismissive. This started our dinner off in a negative way and we came close to just leaving. Thanks to our server, the rest of our dinner was lovely. He acknowledged our anniversary and was friendly and polite.
Cam was an awesome tour guide! He was so knowledgeable, answered so many questions, and always checked in on the group throughout the tour. The Ice wine was so tasty and definitely the highlight. He was very genuine and had a lot of recommendations for anyone interested. I highly recommend the wine tour and Cam deserves a raise!!
Cameron was a fantastic guide. Knowledgeable, funny and super. Give him all the tours
Fantastic winery your! The ice room was very unique! Had other plans or would have stayed for lunch!
We just finished a wine tour with Danielle. She made our tour fun, educational, and very tasty! We really enjoyed our time there and even purchased some ice wine. Going into the ice celler was a truely fun experience!
Take your tour with Chelsea if you can. She is great.
Fantastic experience, must visit when in the Niagara Region.
I visited Peller back in September with my friend who was visiting from England, its a beautiful vineyard, but our experience was memorable due to one of your fantastic team members! Sal was super knowledgeable, really helpful and very fun to speak to about all of the wines. He really made our whole day. Thanks Sal, from two Luton girls!
Let me start of by saying this place is simply lovely and elegant. Everybody is always all so nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. I never know what I want when it comes to choosing between great food and great wine, but let me tell you, Mr. Devon, my waiter at the restaurant, simply made my time there easy. He recommended me this sparkling white wine that left me speechless with how good it was. I ended up going to the store and buying a bottle :). Toutes les recommandations de Mr. Devon étaient incroyables. I m definitely looking forward to coming back and having him as my waiter again :)
Loved this place the first time we went. Went again and was soooooo disappointed with service. Food was great but service was horrible and totally ruined the night. Just our server was inattentive and rude. Honestly don t think we will be back. Big bummer!
We quite enjoyed sitting on the patio. Cheese plate, halibut and steak were all delicious. And we enjoyed the wine and attentive service.
Normally I wouldn t write a review. Although I find in this situation it s necessary. My wife wrote a review on Saturday, no response from Peller at this time. We came to town on Friday night with some friends. We raved about Peller Estates and made a reservation for 5:30pm. Arriving to the vineyard everything was perfect the hostess was incredibly kind. We opted to sit outside and the view was wonderful, with the exception of a wedding tent blocking the view of the vineyard. That wasn t an issue though, the issue was our server. We had a group of four, my wife and I wanted to do the tasting menu. Our guests chose not too. When we mentioned this to our server the response we got was shockingly rude. She informed us the kitchen will not offer the tasting menu unless the entire table is going to partake. This was a new rule and there was no changing it. We didn t fully understand and asked if there was anything we could do as the checks are separate. After confirming this was a no we decided on a large charcuterie board for the table and some drinks. After around a half hour the appetizer was delivered and we where informed that the kitchen will offer us the tasting menu, we thought great! Although that would have been nice to know prior to ordering a charcuterie board that only half the table will eat. We didn t mind though as we felt fortunate they made an exception for us. She then took our menus and left for half an hour before coming back to place our guests order. She made multiple comments regarding my wife s appetite saying things like not a big appetite for the tasting menu it was frankly embarrassing for my wife. To the point where I ate the remaining food so that she wouldn t have a another snide comment. Our guests had empty drinks on more than one occasion. We ended up giving them both a glass of wine from the wine pairing so they had something to drink. I understand the tasting menus take time, but they could have brought the main courses for our guest prior to the 2 hour mark. The main kicker for me was after a 500$ meal she didn t even come over to thank us for the meal or ask how it was. I watched her hand the pay machine to another server and point to our table. Then she walked away and never returned. We weren t rude we were thankful and she made 100$ from my bill alone. We have been coming here for 3 years, my father for 20 years, my uncle for 10 years. We strongly feel this isn t a great representation of what Peller Estates stands for. The meal was phenomenal, the rest of the staff was great, but that one individual ruined our evening. For context we wrote a 5 star review two years ago after our first visit.
Update: Enjoyed dinner on the patio last weekend. Perfect evening for al fresco. Waitperson was disengaged/disinterested but server was a treat: cheerful and informative, she really made our night. Food was great. Again! PS: would be nice if they erected party tents during off hours rather than during the dinner hour. Not exactly part of the view people come hoping to see. :) Original review: Enjoyed the dining experience so much we decided to go back for an encore the next day. Beautiful dining room overlooking vineyard. Good natured staff who enjoy helping to make your experience special. Shout out to Colin, who made us laugh and feel at home but also made a killer wine recommendation - not our usual style, but he was absolutely right!! The short rib main was cooked to dreamy perfection. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the kitchen for happily replacing the starchy carbs (carrots, fingerling potatoes) with low-carb greens!! We so appreciate the flexibility to accommodate special dietary needs! Food, service, setting, views... and great wines? Peller is an easy choice for an unrushed dinner. Extra marks for the Brazilian jazz playing softly in the background.
I went to the wine tasting portion of Peller Estates. The server was beyond rude. We showed up at 6:10pm, online it says that the tastings are open until 8 PM. I completely understand that the server has no jurisdiction in this but the way she address the situation was beyond inconsiderate. as wine club members, I expect a higher class service as I am paying to keep a membership all year round,. We went to Wayne Gretzky after Joseph, the team lead was the best server and an absolute light to our night. Luckily, Wayne Gretzky winery is a part of Peller Estates or we will be cancelling our membership.
Place is a joke. Ordered strip loin at $60. At most, it was six ounces. So, half a steak. No starch with dinner, just one tiny asparagus spear and Swiss Chard which was size of parsley garnish. Most expensive wine Ive ever ordered at $24 for small glass. At another restaurant this under achieving wine would be $14 at most. Its more Canadian crap. A bottle of this would be about $14. Steak was good. All three bites of it
I bought a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc and its fantastic. I havent been to the winery but am very impressed with the wine.
Chyna was amazing, she was very personable and always checking in on us. The food and wine was amazing!!
Our server Chyna-Rose was super sweet and knowledgeable about the wine we had. Always checking in and very attentive to us! Great charcuterie board and wine!
My favorite winery that I have been to so far! Great wine selection, good food, and the property is just stunning!! We had such a great experience there! Will be 100% back next time we are in NOTL!
Nice place, absolutely worth of visit!
The team was very friendly and kind! Very knowledgeable about the products! I was looking for iced wine, and she kindly helped me with all the flavors and everything! I saw that they were doing wine-tours and I will defiantly come back for their tours!
Did a custom tasting menu with friends. Every selection of food & wine pairing was amazing thank to staff @ the restaurant was amazing
We had our 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration at Peller last year. Just gettingvto my review now . I have to say the day was just amazing. Peller Eststes was outstanding. Atmosphere, service, food and drinks were just outstanding. We had our dinner in the Berrel celler and I just have no words. I could not have pick a better place to celebrate with my family and friends. Every employee was kind and helpful. Our guests a year later still talk about the amazing experience they had that day. They use the word a experience of a lifetime. Thank you Peller Estates and staff for the amazing day and the impact it still is making a year later.
Chelsea, our tour guide, was amazing! She was funny, informative, and had great energy. Thank you!
I go annually with my wife and have many happy memories at Peller. The tastings are nice and the Icewine tour is definitely worth it. If you re looking for a nice patio, go to Peller
The food was great ans so was the wine! Staff were professional and super nice!
Such a fun winery tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and funny! We tasted four different wines which also included grape juice for Non-Drinkers and children. Beautiful grounds!
The setting is gorgeous and the wine is fantastic. Ordering and seating was a little more complicated than it should be to drink a glass of wine at a winery, and staff interaction was mixed depending on the person.
I m giving them 5 stars for their great customer service. This weekend I wanted to visit with my family including my pup. Sadly, they only accept service dogs. But Joanna was accommodating enough to email me a list of pet friendly recommendations. Thank you! I can t wait to visit your winery in my next visit.
Monica was wonderful very knowlegable and kind very attentive.
This review is solely for a seated wine tasting on the patio. We had done a tasting the day before at Trius, a sister winery to Peller, and had a great experience. Therefore we really looked forward to this. Unfortunately, it did not come close to expectations. To start, the beauty of the tasting patio was completely ruined by excessively loud dance music. It felt like we were in a South Beach club, not a patio in NOTL. We have never experienced anything like this at a wine tasting. That alone ruined the experience right off the bat. There was no way we were going to order food and hang around any longer than necessary. Poor, poor choice, Peller. We also believe the wines are overpriced compared to other vineyards in NOTL. Name recognition and estate beauty clearly influence pricing. Hey, Im fine with that from a business model, but certainly not paying those prices as a consumer for that level of wine. Other estates in NOTL are producing better product for a better price. And you can enjoy a tasting in a peaceful environment.
So far my favourite winery in the area. Food is good and comes with a restaurant and wine tasting area. Patio is well designed. It has also a small shop inside with souvenirs and wine itself.
Very disappointing. Bought a case of wine. Wanted to enjoy the day and sample a flight and get some apps. A hundred open tables and they wouldn t give us a seat for 20 minutes. Went to another place where the service is proper. Figure it out.
Upscale place. Terrace with exceptional vineyard views, excellent food and good wines. We really had a great time!
I did my first Ice wine experience here and I love it. I reserved the Greatest Winery Tour $45 dollars for people. They welcome you with a glass of sparkling wine, then you walk to the fields and try their white wine. They give you time for photos and you go down to the cellar where you try their red wine (its not that good). Finally you go into an Igloo under 10 degrees and try the Icewine, its super sweet but very tasty. At the end you can buy the bottles you liked in the store. As me, if you want to try the other 3 styles of Icewine without buying the whole bottle you can go to the store bar and order a glass of the 4 different styles of IceWine. They cost 8 dollars each and thats how you decide your favorite. VERY AMAZING EXPERIENCE
Hello, your restaurant needs a big improvement. 45 for a burger with only a tip of foie gras and 40 for green risotto. Honestly, if the food was good, I would have said we paid for fine dining and the WOW effect, but sadly, it was not there. The dessert menu was just disappointing. This was our last stop on our self tours, and we only did the restaurant to finish off our day of visiting wineries in the region, and it was disappointing.
I really liked it! We were with children, they were not left unattended, juice was poured for tasting, it was nice to sit and have a snack and try different wines, the excursion was wonderful.
Im reviewing the wine tasting experience. When you book this experience on their website, it comes up as free. They dont tell you until you are seated that all you really booked was a table at their outdoor wine bar. You select your wine flight(s) from the menu, $28 -$35, and they are delivered by the restaurant server, who rambles through a brief description of each. To top it off, with the exception of the ice wine, the wines are very simple and generally lack any finish. The only redeeming feature of the experience is the scenic vineyard view from the wine bar patio.
I am a Peller Wine Club member. My first shipment went smoothly. My second shipment had the payment taken off my credit card and three weeks later still had not shipped. I emailed them and they shipped it out that day, so I don t know if they forgot or are so backed up that it is taking them weeks to get orders out after accepting payment. Fast forward one week, I went to check on my order that was apparently on the way and it has been sitting in a shipping depot for a week. Contacted Peller and they let me know that the shipment was damaged. Nobody reached out to me to let me know this. I had to follow up on my order on my own. The lack of communication and inability to own up to mistakes means that I will be canceling my wine club membership in the future.
Tyreese was amazing! thanks for such amazing tour! Will be back for sure.
2024, two years later after the first review (see below). Just like that time, eating (food) and especially seating are below average. Walk-ins are not welcome. But one has to give them a credit: atmosphere and environment are great. The fine dining restaurant was all booked on October 1, 2022, according to Rosemarie, one of the managers. They would not find a seat for us. In reality, however, the place was nearly empty for three hours, between 12 and 3 pm. See photo as attached. One would wonder, what is it: bad judgment or lack of management skills. Otherwise, the winery is a nice and cozy place. Food quality is average. Wine quality depends on your tastes.
First time at a tour here and Cam really helped make it a great experience. 10/10 would recommend him/the wine and I will definitely be back, cheers Cam and Peller
Great place!
Great vineyard in Niagara region
Nice place. Well maintained and very welcoming.
Dropped in on 8-4-24 for a casual walk through the retail store and a bite to eat on the patio. The grounds are impressive with clean facilities and a luxury vibe. The wine prices reflect the luxury feel as they were some of the highest in our visits to four different wineries that day. Dinner on the patio was a bit disappointing as the busyness of the hour pushed our table assignment to an area where the canopy only provided a short reprieve of the blazing sunlight as we eventually had to sustain direct sun exposure. Initial service was OK until the food order came. There were no napkins or silverware at our table so we had to request our waiter bring them to us. That is just not acceptable as we had to wait to enjoy our food and allow it to cool while our waiter took his time responding. Then, while waiting, I noticed every other table had to request the same as no tables were set to equip dinner-goers for the eating part of their evening. What a poor display of organization. When demanding the extravagant prices on the menu, some things should just be done better- faster responses to requests by the wait staff and better prep for food delivery.
The location is gorgeous and the wines we sampled were great, unfortunately the experience was let down by the snobbish staff for both me and my partner.
Decided to take my wife here for our anniversary due to the good reviews. Ill start by saying the tour was great. The tour great was, no complaints there. We had reservations for fine dining at 630. We ordered our drinks appetizer and main course all at once as we had a babysitter for our night out. The appetizer came, and then we were waiting until 8 pm for our main course. I asked the waiter now to get the food to go and get my bill as I had to get back home to my daughter. An hour and 20 minutes from ordering was long enough. I paid for the full meal, and the waiter said food was still not ready, and i had to wait. Unfortunately, I could not wait as I had to get back to my daughter and couldnt take my main course home. I am very disappointed. I have never had to wait this long for a main course and especially from a place of this caliber. I was very disappointed in the service that ruined our anniversary and left of us hungry on a long drive back to oakville
We love Peller Estate Wines and often come here for wine tasting but food was disappointing. Went there for the first time today and was disappointed in the whole experience, taste, everything!
Tasting fee and quite expensive. The place is beautiful and the welcome is good, but we could not find wines to our liking
Malcolm made our wine tasting experience absolutely fantastic! He picked out an amazing selection of wines and really knew his stuff. We learned a lot, but it never felt stuffy just fun and interesting. Malcolm was super friendly and made sure everyone had a great time. If youre looking for a memorable wine tasting, Malcolm is your guy. Highly recommend!
Magnificent place where we were able to taste different wines accompanied by a cheese and charcuterie platter.
Wine was very good. Food was as well. Service from Cameron was excellent.
Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Peller Estates. With knowledgeable staff, I enjoyed a flight of wine and tasty dinner.
Spent an enjoyable couple of hours at this beautiful winery. We had lunch; unfortunately, the selection turned out to be a bit disappointing (perhaps we didn t read the menu closely enough); however, that doesn t mean we won t be back! It has a fantastic setting. We do recommend that the sign be replaced with one more in line with the beauty of the building and grounds. Just a thought.
Service by Devon was perfect!! Food was unbelievable. Will be back!!!
Jill is kind and friendly, yet her professional explanations made for an amazing winery tour experience.
We had a very nice Winery Tour at Peller! After the tour, we had a relaxing time at Terrace Wine bar! The hamburgers were well done At the shop, Ive got $5 off per bottle purchased
Went for wine flights and dinner. Had reservations but you need two separate one for each. Check in staff at tasting curt, left many open tables and us standing waiting. They need to be clear you need separate reservations Then dinner, portions tiny and costly. Halibut dinner minuscule See picture. Don t recommend for dinner. Everything better at trius.
We didnt do an actual tasting but instead ordered a wine flight at the Terrace Wine Bar. Whether youre ordering wine, food, or doing a full tasting, we recommend being seated at Terrace Wine Bar as the patio is gorgeous!
An excellent experience. I loved the friendliness of all the employees. The visit was well accompanied by good wines.
Meals at restaurants participating in the winery program are excluded.
Enjoying a little bit of bubbly Secco this evening. Thanks Peller
Had such an awesome tour with Peter, but food is so horrible. Please do better on food.
Perfect!
The cheese board was great. The patio overlooks the vineyard. The server was lovely and friendly. I liked their new bubbly wine! Highly recommend! Beautiful spot!
Our tour guide Cam was awesome !
We loved the tour and our guide Jil was amazing, knowledgeable as well as humourou. The tour is a wonderful experience of wine tasting and knowing how this wine is made. A must do if you are in this part of the world.
Chelsea at Pellar Estate had incredible customer service, presenting patience and poise. 10/10 recommend she was absolutely lovely and knowledgeable on the different wines offered.
We had a great afternoon at Peller Estates! Thank you for the attentive customer service. The wine country concierge was very accommodating. We had the pleasure of being served by Chelsea she was kind knowledgeable and quite comical! Chelsea definitely enhanced our fabulous visit. Thank you! Definitely will return!
We did the wine tour and then dinner at the restaurant. Our tour guide (Sophie) was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Dinner was also great. Staff were very attentive and food was excellent!
Awesome tasting experience with Chelsea! Thank you for taking care of my birthday boy. You were fantastic. You were the best guide so far our entire trip.
Great ambience, stunning scenery, and excellent food!
I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Peller Estates Winery and Restaurant. If you are not white, I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment. Two of the staff members were blatantly racist, refusing to even look at us, making us feel deeply uncomfortable and unwelcome. Their behavior was shockingly unprofessional, especially considering they work in the hospitality industry. When we spoke to the manager, Adrienne, she initially tried to address our concerns but ultimately suggested that we leave and go to another winery and restaurant. This response made it clear that our presence was not valued, and our experience was not taken seriously. I would never recommend Peller Estates Winery and Restaurant to anyone who is not white. The customer service was appalling, and the discriminatory behavior of the staff made for an unforgettable but entirely negative experience. Its a shame that such a beautiful location is marred by such unwelcoming and unprofessional staff.
Great tour, that is kid Friendly!!
Unless you really really want to try ice wine for some reason, not much to write home about if you ve visited any winery outside of Canada. I agree with prior reviews that customer service leaves a lot to be desired and appears quite disorganized.
Beautiful place. Great food. Amazing wines.
Great experience at peller estates. Wine is just wonderful, views are great, and the staff were nice & helpful. Melissa was an amazing server!
Beautiful building, amazing staff but terrible food. We went for our wedding anniversary and the food was really disappointing. I had ordered the charcuterie board , scallops and for dessert panacota, and everything from the start to the end did not taste good, the ingredients did not make sense, looked like they got expensive ingredients and threw on the plate. The main dish that I ordered was scallops, the quinoa didn t taste at all, I tried everything together and it was just bitter, the flavours did not have any balance. The dessert was too jelly and the compote of rhubarb made a not too sweet dessert became sour to death, again, no balanced at all. I wanted to go to this restaurant for years, but if you are a food lover like me, don t expect much, go for the wine and for the amazing building, but not for the food.
Delicious food, excellent wine, charming service!
I would like to provide some feedback on the wine-tasting experience at the cellar. During a busy visit to the cellar, there appeared to be only one chatty staff member available to assist with the wine tastings. This leads to long waiting times for other customers. The chatty staff member was only engaged with one customer during the time that I very slowly sampled three ice wines while others waited to be served. I believe that there may be opportunities for improvement in this aspect. I was fortunate to receive assistance from a lovely young lady who, although not stationed at the tasting area, took the time to help me with my wine tasting and purchase afterwards, despite being quite busy. The cost of the ice wine tasting was $8 per glass, with a $5 rebate offered upon purchasing a bottle. While the pour size was generous, I personally would have preferred a smaller pour size and a reduced tasting fee. One can only drink so much wine in a day.
Visited Pellar Estates On July 13th And This The Condition Of The Washrooms... ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! As A Member I Pay Very Money, So To See This Has Caused Me To Rethink Being A Member. The Asian Male Reception Guy Was Rude As Always...He Lacks Personality And Hes Not Professional. We Will Cancel Our Memership As The Staff Is Lacking In All Areas...
Went to 3 wine tasting and our last stop was at Peller Estates...Its my 1st time there and our server name was Malcolm...he was amazing from the moment we sat down...explained in details for each wine. Im a club member and most of my visits is Truis winery/Gretzky. I will definitely be back and hopefully Malcolm will be serving me again.
We visited from Chicago and it was well worth the trip. Chelsea was our tour guide through the vineyard and let me tell you she was exquisite. She was so much fun! We would come back just for her!
Enjoyed a wonderful Dinner with friends at this restaurant. Peller Estates never disappoints.
What a magnificent place. We took a guided tour. Really interesting, the wines we tasted were delicious.
Had an awesome stay! Very welcoming!! Price vs quantity and quality is well worth its stay! They treat you like normal people regardless of status or perceived status and relaxed environment! Chelsea was the best hostess that made the visit all worth while! Thank you for hiring people like her! Would highly recommend you visit this winery! You won t be disappointed!!
Winery tour was wonderful. 4 tastings included and a glass to keep. Very informative. Lunch was exceptional. Consistently great
Chelsea was amazing at the wine tour! My partner and I had the best time
My partner and I went for a wine tasting. Location was beautiful. We sat on their patio and enjoyed the view of their vines. Reason why I gave 3 stars instead of 5 is because the wine tasting didn t have a sommelier or any type of expert that would briefly talk to us about the wine we were drinking. They brought us the glasses and left. It barely felt like a wine tasting, it was more like a normal dinner at any other restaurant. We took a short walk on their property after and got to chat a bit with some of the workers that were vine pruning and they taught us more than our wine tasting waitress. Their Sauvignon blanc and the ice wine were really good!
Cam was an AMAZING tour guide! Very passionate, knowledgable, and funny. We learned a ton, but was a great mix of facts and fun. Ive had many tours at Peller and abroad and this was the best. Thanks, Cam!
Very nice Winery. Great tour. Chelsey was fantastic! Loved her enthusiasm and knowledge. She was very funny and made the group feel very comfortable. Thank you Chelsey!
Beautiful outside pavilion and good tasting.
This place is a pretty spot that offers tours, making it a great activity for friends, family, or couples. They have a shop where you can buy their wine, and both indoor and outdoor dining options. I suggest making a reservation to secure a table with a nice view. During our visit, we ordered lemonade, lobster fries, and a burger. While the burger was good, the lobster fries were not so much. A highlight of the tour was the ice room, where we enjoyed cold ice wine. Coats are provided, so you stay warm. We also took beautiful pictures during our visit, the scenery is nice. Free parking available.
Excellent choice to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We received two complimentary glasses of Cuvée Speciale on the house. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. Totally, recommend the Winery Restaurant at Pellar Estates!
The wine is much more expensive than other wines.
This place usually nice place before the Covid. We are a tour company we have given them lots of business, but last time I went it s horrible experience we had 25 people they charge 30 people. That is OK, but the event coordinator ( Phaedra Howell ) is kind of rude. They treat us bad all of our customers not satisfied. I m not going back. and we are not going to send anybody from our tour company.
Not happy I have been trying to to reserve since yesterday may 31 for today June 1st. And it was glitching. When I called spoke to a very rude wine concierge she more or less well to bad it s sold out. Can t do nothing. Wow right. Sad experience and spoke to me rudely not even try to see if there was anything they could do only 2 people in my party NOT HAPPY !!
We went for the winery tour. It was a pleasant 1 hour experience. We learned more about their wine and tasted a few good ones. The ice wine in their below 10 degrees space is unique and I recommend it
My girl and friend are wine members for a while now and have had many visits to the benefits of being members but had to mention Chelsey who gave us such an informative, fun experience on our tour. I could only suggest to all to ask for her specifically for a great, fun yet educational experience. Great job Chelsey for Jules and Mark who weren t late, everyone else was early
I have been to Pellers multiple times at the main restaurant, I wanted to try the terrace for the first time and my experience has been absolutely horrible. I made the reservation for 1pm, I arrived with my party of 5 on time, the girl at the front told me that because of the rain they didn t have enough tables and that I needed to wait, I was ok with that as I understood the situation, then she came back a few minutes later to tell us that another restaurant on the second floor can accommodate us. We went there, waited a few minutes, I noticed that the menu we got only had shareable and drinks, when our server came I ordered our drinks and asked for the lunch menu, she told us that they don t offer food in that area, I was shocked, I made a reservation to have LUNCH! and now she is telling me they can t offer me lunch, I told her that was not acceptable and that I wanted the table I reserved at the patio, a table became available at the patio, we went back there, then again had to wait a long time to be served, I ordered a charcuterie board that never came, and the lobster fries had the tiniest piece of lobster on those fries, my mom and I returned it back to the kitchen and ordered the burger instead, from 1pm that I got there I ended up finally having my lunch at 2:30pm. Very very very disappointed with the experience, this is a high end restaurant, I expected a high end service and food.
I asked for a bottle of the last wine we had in our tasting, the icewine. The waitress brought the first one we had instead. It is one we didnt like. I should have double checked in the bag and didnt, so that is on me. Also, they never texted me my receipt, so now I have a $50 bottle of wine I dont like, nothing to drink this last night of our vacation and cant return what I have because I have no receipt and am leaving to go back to the states tomorrow before they open anyway. Be aware if you like sweet wines, although the waitress told us the rosé flight is the sweetest they have, it is not sweet at all except for the icewine.
My partner and I had lunch here and it was a mixed experience. The service during lunch was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome. The food overall was great, though the dessert could use some improvement as it tasted average. After finishing our meal, we decided to visit the shop section to purchase a bottle of their famous ice wine. This is where our experience took a downturn. We were eager to try some of their wines but it felt like a bit of a scam when the staff member kept pouring different drinks for us to try without informing us of the cost per tasting. We were surprised and disappointed to find out there were additional charges for each sample, which were not communicated to us beforehand. This lack of transparency marred an otherwise pleasant visit.
Average food and served way too fast.
Hi. I just dined at the restaurant. For what is supposed to be a fine dining experience, we felt rushed with our first course arriving within 10 minutes of sitting down, and main arriving within 35 min. The decor and scenery are beautiful but unfortunately for the price point, the food was mediocre. What a disappointment.
Had a fantastic time! Our tour guide was Chelsea and she was engaging, funny, and very informative! We got a tour of red, white, sparkling, and ice wine! Beautiful estate with lot of plot and acres of land with vineyards. Highly recommend for anyone to try!
Our tour guide, Malcolm, was awesome! Thank you for a great tour for our bridal party!
Our tour guide, Cam, was awesome and really knowledgeable. No complaints at all there! We stopped at the Terrace Wine Bar after and service was terrible though- our server was rude and acted as though she would rather be anywhere else. Felt like we were a burden to her even though we were quite nice and didn t order anything complicated- hope she was just having a bad day and this isn t typical service!
Visited for a bachelorette party and did the tour with Chelsea. She was phenomenal! Amazing vibes and tons of fun for the whole group.
Very nice sales advice, gladly again!
We came with a party of 20 people for a birthday. The wine tour was great. However, That was all overshadowed by the extremely underwhelming, disappointing, and downright embarrassing food service at the restaurant. The fine dining aspect was a joke. The food was bland, the food was COLD, and service took nearly 2.5 hours. Inexcusable. All our guests were beyond upset because the staff was rude and were taking so long to complete simple small requests. Do not come here. Go to somewhere else.
This was the best part of our trip! We decided to do the Greatest Winery Tour . We got to try 4 different wines, including the ice wine which was the main event! They let us stay in the 10 Below Ice room for as long as we wanted, to take our photos! There was also an option for the non wine drinkers also, which my husband appreciated! After the tour was over, our guide helped us find the ice wine we just tasted, to purchase!
My family and I had a wonderful time at Peller! Our tour guide Cam was super knowledgeable and passionate about wine, very eager to answer everyone s questions, and even let us taste some extra wines free of charge. I would highly recommend asking for him if you take a tour, but either way you re gonna have some delicious wines with a pretty good meal to boot!
I had a wonderful time at the winery tour! Our tour guide Cam is awesome!
Wine is good, food is good. However I cannot say serving is great.
I recently visited the Terrace Wine Bar and the Winery Restaurant at Peller Estates for my wifes 40th. My wife and I first visited here the night after our wedding and have had many anniversary dinners here. I began planning and making reservations in early April for her 40th birthday on June 8. I tried to book a group room but was told they were fully booked up for that night, months ahead of time. I booked three tables for our party of 11 for 7:30pm. We had a bike wine tour that day that ended around 4:30pm and so I also made reservations for three tables at the Terrace Wine Bar to have drinks before our table was available. I received several calls from both Peller Estates and the Terrace Wine Bar telling me they could not accommodate putting our groups tables together. I was directed to a salesperson for the group packages. There were still no group rooms available for our date. By the fourth call I told Peller Estates that other restaurants do this all the time, at this point it seems more like you wont accommodate us rather than you cant. We arrive on the day of the reservations after biking for 5 hours and 15km ready to enjoy our drinks and dinner. It had started to rain around 6:00pm. The Terrace Wine Bar sat our party of 11 outside under a tarp that does absolutely nothing to stop the rain (why cover the area at all if it doesnt stop the rain from getting through?). The waitress informed us that this was last call despite having a full restaurant under the (non-tarp) properly covered section. I can only assume she meant she wasnt going to be returning because of the rain. We had a long standing reservation at the restaurant. We were not walk-ins. This choice to seat us outside in the rain was completely unacceptable. As our party scattered with no waitress in sight I had to track her down and cover the bills myself. We had to retreat to the wine shop, where no staff member offered to assist us and when we inquired, told us we could not refill our wine glasses unless we paid for a signature keepsake glass. Where is the customer service? This used to be a high end establishment. We had dropped off a birthday cake at the Peller Estates Winery restaurant before being seated at the Terrace Wine Bar. The hostess there excitedly told us she was going to be able to seat us together during dinner after all. It seemed like the night was going to turn around. We were seated in the Winery Restaurant, at two different tables. Four of our guests were seated separately from the party. This was a let-down after the hostess had gotten our hopes up. Peller Estates Winery Restaurant made the brilliant decision to treat our two tables as two different sections with two different servers, the server of the people at the second table treated them much worse, they were not given a friendly greeting, wine recommendations or any embellishment or explanation of their dinner orders, which was the treatment received at the main table. The four at the extra table were from a family of five with their fifth member sitting at the main table. They were told it was not possible to share a bill with their fifth family member sitting five feet away. The cake was completely forgotten by the serving staff until we reminded them to bring it out as people were paying their bills. The restaurant was empty at this point, so our extra four party members joined us at the main table, where we all easily fit. My wife inquired with the serving staff about how far in advance the group rooms are usually booked. She was told that we could have called last week and booked it. I mean... what? I am absolutely baffled by the choices made here. Customer service used to be extremely good at Peller Estates and we have a had many positive experiences here for many milestone occasions. I cannot recommend either of these restaurants in their current state, unfortunately the quality of the experience seems to have taken a serious step down. Maybe Peller should offer to have us all back and do it right.
We stopped here during a wine tour for my Bachelorette party and it was my favourite stop! Our tour guide was Chelsea and she was amazing! She made our experience so fun while also informative. The wine was also fantastic and the ice wine room is always a hit!! But Chelsea was really the best part of our time here.
Peller Estates is a great spot to tick off your Winery experience. True to its promise, the Greatest Winery Tour gives you a leisurely vine to cellar experience. The highlight of the tour for us was visiting the 10Below Icewine Lounge and sampling the wines. After the tour, you can either enjoy a meal at the restaurant or go shopping at your own expense. It was a unique and truly memorable experience for us.
Great spot, enjoyed the place
I visited for wine tasting and loved it! Dont just go into the store, which is wonderful too, because at the Wine Bar where you do the tasting, you can see and go to the vineyard, not to mention that everything is very beautiful. I highly recommend it and go with time to enjoy it. Great wines, excellent icewine.
A was very much looking forward to this dinner. Saw good reviews and recommendations. I was however disappointed. Decor and service were very good and so was the wine. The food disappointed. The overall critique I have is the kitchen killed the flavours. Chicken pate with tens of other flavours just ruined it. Their special pasta with truffle and lobster same here, the pancetta, and other flavours overkilled the truffle. Lobster overcooked. Scallops exactly the same. The short rib was cool when it arrived and asked flavour. I am sorry, but no fine dining to me.
I went here for a business lunch. What an excusite place to spend part of a day! The venue itself is stately and grand. The high-end service is fit for an executive experience. The wine is, of course, amazing from Peller Estates, and the food was amazing. We started by sharing a meat and cheese charcuterie, with each item made locally. (Note: The meats are made from pork.) I had a salad for lunch and it was divine. The prices here are a little high, but in this case, you get what you pay for. This was a fantastic spot and I will remember my visit here for a long time.
Had a very good experience. CHELSEA was awesome!! She was very charismatic and funny as our tour guide!
This place was super tranquil and beautiful. The short rib was very soft and flavourful and of course great wine to go with it. Devon was our server and he was amazing, very helpful in deciding what we were going to have for lunch. Would definitely recommend!
I visited here as someone who works locally in the industry. All of the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The wines I tasted were fantastic and I would highly recommend the tour in order to visit their ice room as it s such a unique experience. Thank you to Alex for taking such good care of us during our visit and to Geoff who recommended Peller to me in the first place.
Excellent experience. Had the 5 course dinner and wine pairing. Pricey but certainly worthwhile (if your budget permits). Excellent waiter who was attentive and tailored our experience to match our tempo. We were there for 3 hours but it felt like a lot less.
Had a wine tour here for my friends Bachelorette weekend, our guide Chelsea was absolutely amazing. She made it so fun, had so much knowledge about the process of making wine. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and I don t even drink much wine. Applause you to Chelsea. Thank you.
Chelsea was AMAZING!! She explained everything so well in detail and answered all the questions we had! We came here to celebrate our beautiful bride to be and had such a lovely time. Highly recommend (especially the ice wine)
The sparkling rise was absolutely delicious. The sauv blanc was best ive tasted...the aroma was perfect! Alex was fantastic! Great source of knowledge and history. Enjoyed his stories and suggestions!
Excellent place for a great wine tour, good food and some admirable tastings.
Great experience at Peller sampling .the late harvest Vidal was great and the server was amazing. Grounds at the winery really make it feel like NOTL.
The wine tasting tour was a very frustrating experience at Peller Estates. Too many people in the tour and too little wine to taste, at the cost of $45 per person (+ tax)! Other wineries in the region offer experiences that are way better, like Trius.
The tasting menu of wine is perfect. The staff are very nice. But the restaurant here is really terrible. Every dish was bland and long waiting time
Wine tasting in Peller Estate is a unique experience and friendly staff explains process of wine
We visited on a weekday when there weren t too many guests. The estate grounds are lush and gorgeous. The patio seating was plentiful and service was attentive. Highly recommend.
We greatly enjoyed our time touring pellars estate. Monica was an excellent tour guide alongside Nicole, creating a warm and welcoming experience we would definitely like to participate in again. Monica went above and beyond explaining the history and process of creating the wines, she also offered opportunities for questions, creating a very interactive experience. 10/10 wine tour.
Could you please help us. We had a touring pass to try a few wine country estates to see where we would hold our company meetings and had this experience. 1st we thought the wording on the pass clearly said free touring and wine tasting? 2nd we made reservations before arrival for Saturday at 12 for the touring and wine testing and 1pm for lunch in your restaurant. Upon arrival we showed the pass at the front desk and told them we had reservations for tasting touring and lunch. = They said go out the door and turn right they will help you and show the pass. = we did that and walked to the 2 ladies standing at a location with out side tables and showed them the passes, We asked about the tour and tasting with the pass and they directed us to a table, We set down and picked the wine samples and asked about the food menu, She said the food was not free only wine samples as we kept showing the pass to try to understand and we said we under stand, and would like to have lunch at the out side patio since they would not let us in to eat inside as we thought the booking was for. After eating and still confused with what was going on we went to pay the bill and got charged for the wine tasting as well, we sent you the pass and bill for you to see. After we left and noticed we got billed for the tasting we called and the lady said a manager will call us back and refund the money Until now we got no call or refund. As a customer seeking not only quality but also exemplary service we felt we got pushed out side as we did not meet your standards, and would like to contact the consumer protection act if we do not hear from you. This experience has caused us to reconsider not signing a membership especially given our role in sourcing wines for corporate client meetings. Peller Estates should prioritize training to ensure customer service standards will meet the following consumer protection act. Now with the food we did not expect and was very disappointed to pay that much for some thing so low class as a table spoon of shredded lobster sticks on French fries and a 12 inch pizza U need to put pictures so people will see before they order
A place where you can test for free if you sign up as a member. The environment was beautiful and the staff was friendly, so it was a pleasant experience. The wine tasted great too!
This was the first stop on our 3-winery guided tour and tasting experience. The estate is absolutely gorgeous and it was a perfect spring day. Geoff, our guide, was really knowledgeable and took time to answer many questions. After the tasting we were provided with more complementary wine, as part of our tour package, at the outdoor wine bar. Charcuterie platters were unique and tasty. Gift shop was a bit pricey but we didn t feel obliged to buy anything.
Lovely afternoon toured hosted by affable Alex at the sprawling Peller Estates on a warm May Saturday. Definitely, a learning experience, from the origins of the winery to appreciating the barrels and process of wine aging, was fantastic. Exploring the Ice Bar and tasting the wine was good value for the $45 per person. The tour was at least a 4-5 rating. A footnote is that there is the honesty in advertising. At the conclusion of the tour, we brought up three bottles to purchase. As we were cashing out, it appears that it took two individuals to advise us that the $5.00 off was applicable to the Ice Wine only. In fact, the female of the two seemed to enjoy saying Didnt Alex tell you Ice Wine only - Why would someone there for client service take pleasure in the fact that they overtly discredit their own clients and website. How can you have dozens of staff, some of which take pride in admonishing a client at the cash register ready to pay upwards of $100 extra.- with respect, although Alex mentioned in conclusion, your website remains, When you join us for The Greatest Winery Tour, you ll unlock savings as you explore our Peller Estates wines. Enjoy $5 off per bottle purchased, up to the $45 cost of your tour -It is clear as day, and for even the casual reader would clearly take this was $5 each bottle. Not to 5 came a few hours just for the 5 to leave on such a dour note for a trivial reason, which is unfortunate. This is clearly a bait and switch, conscious or otherwise, and going through the expense of having two cashiers at one register embarrassing the customer after spending $150 for the three at tour with a tone as if we misread the website, saying we will advise the manager is likely not an accurate representation of Mr. Pellers vision. All this over $15 dollars and potential lost business. Notwithstanding, we still purchased two bottles of wine but have permanently been put off by the misleading manner and condescending approach in which we likely will not return. kindly update your website to mention Ice Wine only for the benefit of transparency. Please do not respond until you do so to ensure your future clients are treated with respect and dignity,
The food was delicious. The setting was lovely and there server Devon H was great. He helped guide us to some great wine parings to our delicious meal. Highly recommend the entire experience.
Lovely movie every seen
Winery
Wonderful day spent at Peller Estate winery in Niagara on the Lake. Alex provided an excellent wine tour and he s very knowledgeable and approachable! Loved the ice wine ice room and the cellar. Dinner at the Winery Restaurant was superb and the ambiance was so regal but relaxed too.
Poor experience at sip and sizzle with Geoff Didn t provided a good explanation of what we were eating and wine included. We had to ask questions. When told we could sit outside it was only on the Muskoka chairs, but that was not clearly stated .Food and wine was good but overall experience damped by employee.
Great experience a few minutes ago with Alex in the wine testing room. He was very educated in wines and would highly recommend him. Heres hoping you make it to Ireland. Slainte
Had lunch on the outside patio. The Barbecue Chicken flatbread was tasty. With the nice weather it was very enjoyable for the four of us to sit next to the vineyard and enjoy a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The grounds and building are very nice with plenty of Muskoka chairs to soak up the sun.
The hosts have big attitudes. Something s going on with them. The girl in the lobby gave us a look when we walked in (maybe we had a small dog ? ) we didn t see any sign saying no pet that s why we brought our dog in, based on our previous experience with other wineries in the area. We made it clear that we came for a wine tasting and the host girl said we can sit in the patio ( she saw we had a dog). When we made our way to the patio section, the other host looked at us (with a look) and said unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the patio . I am like you could have either post a sign at the entrance or told us when we walked in. It s unnecessary that you gave us attitudes when we were not given enough information. Definitely not coming back to the place again. It ruined my experience of winery.
Came by for a lunch date with the Mrs and loved every detail about this restaurant - from the decor to the table setting and service. The food was very fresh and flavourful. We were treated to some complimentary glasses of champagne and it was so good good we stuck with it. Both desserts were amazing but the rhubarb one was a revelation.
Peter our sommelier was fantastic, he really knew his stuff and provided superb service. It was my moms birthday and he made her feel so special and made it a wonderful experience. We appreciated it so much, we will be back soon!
Did a wine tour which we really enjoyed. Very informative love love the ice wines. Will be back for another tour where Ill actually see the grapes lol
Great
We had a great experience over at Peller Estate. First we sampled and had a great server named Saul. What a pleasant guy. Very warm, welcoming and very knowledgable!! Great experience!!! We then later we went back for a wonderful dinner. The braised beef was perfect! Our waiter Kyle was very polite and accomodating. Thank you Peller for an amazing experience!!! Our stay at The Riverbend Inn was beautiful! Cozy and warm welcoming feeling. Definately going back!!
Hello you are great restaurant
Had an amazing experience at peller. My boyfriend and I went for the two course meal wine pairing. Lisa did an AMAZING job pairing all our dishes to a wine. I highly recommend doing the wine pairings and getting the lobster linguine. Its probably the best linguini Ive had in my life. It was so flavourful and fresh. My boyfriend loved the braised short rib. From the moment we walked in at met the hostess, Samantha, to the end of the dinner with Lisa, I could not have been more pleased with the accommodations and service. These ladies both definitely made the experience great.
Cam was a wonderful tour guide! I recommend anyone visiting Niagara on the lake to stop at Peller and try out their tour! Wines are delicious and can t forget the ice wine!
I loved the traditional ice wine. The rest was not impressive from the premium category. Maybe next time if I come Ill choose the deluxe n see where it goes. Very beautiful grounds to enjoy. I would say would look as a great venue for weddings. The ambience is very good. Quite pricey for a wine by the glass although u do get the glass to take home. We spent half an hour roaming around without anybody asking to help or offer directions. All in all, I would say unimpressive. I would go back only if friends drag me to it.
Server Chelsea gave us an amazing experience! Couldn t of asked for a greater person to be looking after us
Mixed Experience at Peller Estates: Great Reception, Disappointing Service During our recent visit to Peller Estates, we were impressed by the exceptional service provided by Mr. Peter at the reception. His professionalism and welcoming demeanor set a positive tone for our experience. Upon entering, we opted for a Pinot Noir wine, which was delightful. However, our satisfaction took a hit due to the disappointing attitude and careless service of the tasting attendant. This individual, characterized by a blonde hair and an indifferent demeanor, not only exhibited an unwelcoming attitude but also served us in disgustingly dirty glasses. When we raised our concerns about the cleanliness of the glasses, we were informed that it was a recurring issue due to problems with the dishwasher. This explanation was unsatisfactory, highlighting a lack of attention to detail and hygiene standards. To rectify the situation, we sought assistance from another staff member, who promptly provided us with clean glasses. This intervention salvaged our experience to some extent, but the initial encounter had already left a negative impression. As a customer seeking not only quality products but also exemplary service, the disparity between the warm reception from Mr. Peter and the arrogance displayed by the tasting attendant was stark. This experience has caused us to reconsider signing a membership with Peller Estates, especially given our role in sourcing wines for corporate client meetings. Peller Estates must prioritize staff training and performance to ensure consistency in customer service standards. The quality of service plays a significant role in shaping the overall experience, and improvements in this area are crucial for maintaining customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Amazing.
Cute little winery. We did a wine tasting there after the solar eclipse and was able to do a walk-in. The star of the show is clearly their sparkling wine. I wasnt a huge fan of the wines we tried but thats super subjective. Sadly, the set of wine we sampled didnt include their ice wines. I bought a bottle of PJs cream liquor that was pretty similar to Baileys, just a stronger Carmel flavor and my friend bought a bottle of their sparkling wine, which is made with their ice wine.
I recently had the pleasure of attending a wine tour at Pellers, and it was an absolute delight! Chelsea, our tour guide, was not only informative but also hilarious, making the tour both educational and entertaining. The highlight for me was the ice room, a unique addition to the ice wine tour that added a cool (literally!) touch to the experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and memorable winery visit. Thank you for a fantastic time!
We had lunch and seated wine tasting. It was both so good! End of February with barely any people there. Staff were very knowledgeable and kind.
What an amazing experience! Ainsley was very professional and friendly. Explains the wine selection very well. Will definitely be back !
Thoroughly enjoyed the Greatest Winery Tour with Chelsea as our guide. She was so friendly & energetic - and really knew her stuff. Shared so many interesting facts about the history of Peller and winemaking in the Niagara Region / VQA certification etc.
Staff were great, really nice place. Disappointed that the website and Google said open 7/8pm and at 5:20 pm we were unable to sample or purchase a glass. Would have purchased a few bottles if I could try them first. Gretzky and a few others were still open at least.
It was our first time going to Peller Estates. I booked lunch for my husband s birthday special occasion at the beginning of January. The whole experience was very good right from entering into the estates to a wonderful food and wine. The waitress was very good at providing detailed description about the wine and how it would pair with the type of food we eat. She even surprised us by bringing a small desert with a candle for my husband s birthday Overall best experience!
Came here for a wine tasting but we arrived after they stop doing tastings. One of their amazing staff members said she would try to make this experience as close to a tasting as possible - pouring us glasses and telling us about the wine. She even brought me a special vintage wine since it was my birthday. Thank you Ailish for providing us with exceptional service - you were such a pleasure to interact with!
Amazing experience! My boyfriend and I did a wine tasting in the Estate Room we had the pleasure of meeting Gaurang who was so knowledgeable! Beautiful building, great wines and service.
The Teller Winery was a very nice surprise in our itinerary. From the start when we arrived, we had a very nice welcome by Peter who explained everything about Pellers. Then, we head out to a wine tasting with Ailish who was an amazing host throughout the tour!
We had lunch on Sunday after wine tasting at Colanery Winery. The decor was very pretty. beautiful , fresh orchids everywhere . It was preset menu. We had butternut squash soup to start.( it was not much taste to it just salty). For main I had pickerel (very dry) When server ask how the meal is I said is dry she did not react to it. She just left. My husband finish the fish and he let me have the braised ribs. Dessert was nice.
Nice and cozy restaurant. Amazing fireplace. We ordered a charcuterie and cheese plate, and for $40, the plater should have much more cured meat and cheese. :( Service was great, good wine selections.
