The Gold Eagle Casino is west central Saskatchewan’s entertainment destination. Located in North Battleford along the Yellowhead Highway, the casino has become a regular stop for both local area residents and travelers since opening in 1996. I stopped in for a quick break from driving during a road trip. I found some fun slots. November, 2024. Still a good place to stop and drop a few coins into the slots.
There's machines you can put all your money in, and sometimes it gives you money back. Most of the time, it doesn't and then you're broke till your next paycheck. But it's totally worth the 10 minutes.
It was a good experience overall but really unlucky for me. Don't bet big it does not pay off. My mom and aunt did ok on their little bets. They were happy. The staff were great.
After my experience and talking to some people at the casino, save your money! I have seen some big wins when I was there but they all had one thing in common. I think my type get the occasional good win but any big win isn't by anyone of European descent. Call me racist or whatever you want, i know what i have seen. That is pretty much the consensus across the board with any of my friends that go there. Time for all of us to stay out of there. Let them profit off their own. The best thing about this casino is the staff working the floor, but even great people can't make up for what I have seen.
We ate in the restaurant June 29 2024 late afternoon and we really enjoyed our meals. However it was our server who made the visit special. He was attentive, for sure, but also has a great personality that we will remember. Very funny guy.
First visit there and we had a blast! There was a great selection of slot machines and the several we played actually paid out and gave us many bonuses, it was so much fun when you are winning! There was also some tables open too. Great place to visit, and have some exciting fun! We will definitely revisit them. They also accepted my support puppy and welcomed her, that meant the world to us. The staff and management were very helpful and friendly as well. Definitely 5 stars and we wouldve gladly given them 10!
We stopped at this casino because we noticed it along the highway. Not very much of a gambler but can say that it is a decent sized casino. Not as big as others but big enough. There is a smoking and non-smoking side in the casino. The Siga Lager beer was actually pretty good and the prices are ok, most casinos charge a little more for beer. Other than that, the staff were very friendly and joke around with you. Will definitely be back when I travel down that way again 👍🏼
Had an amazing meal at the Kihiw Restaurant. Our waitress was just lovely. She was completely professional, yet friendly and attentive without being annoying. The ambiance was casual, comfortable, yet elegant. The food was fantastic and we got good value for our money. We'll definitely be back on our next trip through Saskatchewan.
Food is good but service isn t that good, waited an hour for my food and it was cold. Dec 20th
Always feel so welcomed at the gold eagle and they have a really awesome stay and play with the hotel next door. A one stop entertainment evening they also have a lively live games area Thursday to Sunday dont miss out!

A small casino, has everything you need... roulette is digital only... There is a smoking area...
There were no open poker tables and only one open blackjack table on a Saturday night. No waitresses bringing drinks to the tables either. Disappointing. Friendly staff and dealers, though.

Its actually my first time going to Casino and its not that bad. Im glad they didnt stop us from going in. I actually like the place. My friends and I had a good time. The down side is the atm, they charge 3 cad in each transaction. I mean its expected but its still painful. The place have lots of games, just beware next time when you go there make sure to bring money with you atleast youll enjoy. The ectasy you feel when you won and the desperate to win is penomenon. Ps dont shout when u won 6 cad everyone will think you win big.
Great place to go to get away for abit, drinks and food available 2 separate areas for whichever you prefer. I will definitely be going again
Never been gambling before. Definitely not my thing, I think its a huge scam. But the staff were kind and present at the casino. The machines and the building were clean. It was also a very nice building, just not my thing.

The staff are great. Very friendly and approachable. The place is always clean. The Kehiw restaurant is accessible from the casino. There is a smoking room that allows people to smoke indoors and play machines. You wouldnt think that it was even there because you cant smell the smoke from any other room. Table games are fun.

Surprisingly huge place ,the front desk entrance definitely fooled me bc never would have I in a million years thought that it was more rooms in rooms , which I think is a great idea for smoking sections , oh no I think that it is better than Prince Albert casino and Saskatoon Dakota Dunes Casino especially the smoking sectional area

Gold Eagle and Dakota Dunes both my favorite casinos, this place as great as Dunes. Welcoming as well, good slot games, but I think thou VLTs should be added in this place in case people that prefer to play VLTs show up there then who he or she may look for those games, just my thought, Dunes has VLTs in their lounge. But Ill always be coming to Gold eagle whenever I need get away from home

I felt very safe while there, staff ensure everything is kept clean, you always see them wiping down machines and chairs. They are very strict and ensure everyone follows the SHA guidelines, love it.

Casino is quite clean and staff are nice. However, the washrooms are a bit unkempt as a lot of them were out of order and the soap dispensers empty. Also, the smoking room seems to have the better VLTs which is unfortunate as its more difficult for a non-smoker to go into the smoking room to play than vice versa

I used to love stopping here for a rest on the road. It has been some time that I have been here. No one seemed excited to be here, no table games, nothing big any more. Just money eating slot machines. Save your stop for Alberta folks, nothing to see here.
