This is our go to place. It's comfy and the food is good and fast.
First time order. Very disappointing. Honey garlic sauce was black, ribs were overcooked, like leather. Rice was over the top with soya sauce, sweet and sour ribs looked and tasted like breaded chicken pieces, chow mean noodles had a funky taste. Will never go back.
We have order from here twice now and the food was excellent. Lots of flavor. Staff friendly.
This was my first time trying out their food, I called on a Sunday when they opened. Food got here within 30mins, delivery guy was very nice, food was super hot. I was very pleased to see the large portions, food was very well seasoned, the rice was flavorful and not dry. I was very happy that I chose this restaurant. I will be coming back again :) On top of that, I was very happy that they did not put cinnamon in their egg rolls :)
Tried to place an order with them but they said they were unable to switch out the items in the combos. No problem, we said we’d have to order from somewhere else. We figured out how we could place our order without switching combo items, so we called back and placed an order with them. The total seemed very high, so we did the math with taxes to see what the order should have cost, it was $25 over what it should be. When I called to confirm the price of the order and see what the delivery fee was, the gentlemen on the phone was extremely rude and said he would not take our order. We tried to explain we had already made the order and just wanted to check the total, and he yelled “we’re not making your order!” And hung up on us. We had ordered for delivery so had we not called back we would have been left waiting for food that was never going to come.
This restaurant was our favourite place to order our special treat from for a number of years. Lately it has gone down hill so much that we were unable to eat any of it. What a way to blow $65.00.
From a campsite location, I ordered 4 eggs rolls with plum and hot chilli sauce, steam white rice, a Singapore noodle dish and a Szechuan chicken dish with Szechuan sauce. The foods was rapidly prepared and promptly delivered by a nice gentleman. The eggs rolls were like the best egg rolls I have ever tasted in my life. They were made to absolute perfection. All the other dishes were found to be excellent. The cost of this excellent quality meal was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this Chinese restaurant if ordering out in North Bay. A + grade! Thank you for the excellent food. I surely enjoyed it.
I just had dinner for 10 here with family and theres good and bad. Very clearly understaffed, with 3 guys on hand and one of them was the delivery guy.the staff was all very kind but overwhelmed. Some of our group didn't get their food until almost an hour after ordering. Dishes were very hit and miss. The Szechuan beef was lovely and authentic. Fried rice was lacking any vegetables other than onion. Cantonese Chow Mein had such a small portion of noodles everything was soggy. Tables were left uncleaned and piled with dishes our entire stay.

Whether its take out or dine in its always the same ! Its the best tasting Chinese Food in the Bay, its up there with the local greats from the 50s til now and better than the old Leechee Gardens in Toronto ever was !
Even though this restaurant was completely insane trying to accommodate everyones NYE gatherings, the food we ordered was here on time and was absolutely delicious! Manshou is our go to for Chinese food, and we would absolutely recommend.
I have tried quite a few chinese restaurants in north bay and this one is easily the best out of the ones I have tried. large portions, appropriate pricing, kind staff, good wait times (even at dinner rush), and overall just tasty food will continue to order from here, love it.

It was my first time ordering from here.The food was very tasty and fresh.The prices are great for the quantity of food. My only negative was the waiting area for takeout. It is small space for people who are waiting to pick up. I highly recommend!

Wife and I went to the Manshou Resturant for take out food last evening, but discovered that the dining room was open, so decided to eat in. The food was some of the best chinese food I have ever eaten at this resturant or any other in North Bay. Vegetables were done to perfection and there were plent of it. Even had a take home bag for us both. My hat is off to the cook and the wait staff. Excellent food with excellent service.

We have had two meals here, both of which were excellent. The portions are quite large, the staff are friendly and efficient, and the food is delicious. The restaurant is very clean as are the washrooms. We will absolutely be eating here many more times. We especially loved the Cantonese style chow mein noodles. Another wonderful dish was the Szechuan shrimp with vegetables.
There was no dinner music. Too quiet.

I have to say that this restaurant served some of the best Chinese food that I have had to date. So Fresh! The staff are very friendly and accommodating albeit slow with service although this is most likely due to staff shortages so I will not hold it against them. The restaurant itself is clean and airy. I highly recommend it if you want good fresh Chinese food.
Offer take out and dine in but yet both are lousy. Call to pick up an order and when I arrive they havent even placed the order on there end.

By far one of my favorite places to eat, I was sooner choose to travel up to North Bay to eat from them than any other restaurant in the area. The owner is an amazing person very polite and same goes for his staff. I honestly miss their homemade plum sauce because it was to die for and I hope that they bring it back eventually! I could honestly order probably hundreds of egg rolls from them because they are the best that Ive ever tasted in my entire life. The food is amazing and always taste good, there is a great amount of flavor in it and the portion sizes are very good for the price you pay if you do have a problem dont ever hesitate to talk to the owner about it he is very understanding and considerate of mistakes that his employees make.

Use to order from here every other weekend. I ordered the same thing each time and continued to get the correct order until tonight. When I called back to get them to correct my order or give me a refund, they just argued with me saying I ordered the wrong thing. I specifically asked for fried noodles with veggies, and thats not what I got. I will never ever eat here again. Their customer service is a 0/10.
I live 75 minutes away but am occasionally in North Bay on business. A friend and I each ordered 2 take out dishes this past weekend and we were both SICK for days! When I called to speak to the Owner, he asked repeatedly what we had ordered as if I had not already answered this. He simply did not give a damn. I am LIVID and I will never return. I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. THAT is how sick I was!
We went for a pick up lunch. Manshou has always had the best Chinese food in North bay. Lunch was fresh and quick. Absolutely delicious!

Im a long time customer order all the time ... and tonight i ordered and when i got home was missing part of my order when i called to just inform them the guy on the phone got very hostile with me screaming and yelling i have never been talked to like that they have just lost my business just for the way they treated me for letting them know they forgot wasnt looking for anything but maybe a sorry but yet got this crusty man that had to yell at me and then hang up on me
Im just his window cleaner but food smells great, and he does good buisness from what i see.
Great food. Really good service. We shop around north bay for christmas parties and other parties and found we are always happy with the Manshou. If u have not tried it, you should.

Outstanding meal the my Fiancé and I had at Manshou Chinese Restaurant. The staff does an amazing job of describing anything on the menu and the ambiance is very cool. Can t wait to come back! The combination dinners are outstanding and simply delicious.

First time ordering from here and the service was great. The food was so delicious!! We as a family of 7 enjoyed the food and will be ordering again. I highly recommend that you give them a try.
Not a great variety in the Foods they serve, the Lemon Chicken is too thick of a Batter, too Sweet and not as good as it could be. Too deep Yellow am thinking too much Food Colouring. Honey Garlic Ribs are good but the sauce is thin like water. Not a great variety of Veggie in the other Dishes. I love Peppers, Water Chestnuts and never had any.lots of UGH Carrots. Yang Chow Fried Rice was good, no veggies or Egg fillers in it. It was good. Food was Hot containers are great except for the Paper ones.

The food was excellent, but was charged an obscenely large delivery fee when we were at a local hotel just down the road a few km south. The food is great but make sure you pick up your order, and be leery when ordering for delivery, if you are staying at a hotel. The fried rice and stir-fries were reminiscent of what youd find in a Toronto chinese food spot. Overall, a very good delivery order and very good food.
Delivery driver did not wear a mask. There is a global pandemic going on right now. Stop putting your customers at risk! Chicken fried rice did have pork in it, but it should also have large pieces of bacon, egg, green onion, and sprouts.
This is by far my all time favorite Chinese restaurant staff is always friendly the owner is such a friendly happy man and the food is made fresh when you order and the helpings are huge even the take out orders...every one in my home looks forward to manshou for supper even our cat ..lol

The food was horrid as was the service. The food had a burned taste and there was something off about the chop suey. It sure tasted gross and had me in the bathroom at least 6 different times the rest of the night and into next day. Not sure if I had food poisoning as I didnt go to the hospital, but it sure felt like it.The waitress came at one point to ask how our meal was and left dirty, empty dishes behind. She screwed up our order and argued what dishes were what. She was pretty rude. The bathroom was out of toilet paper. we will NEVER go back thats for sure!

I don t live in north bay, was only here for the night and decided to go out for Chinese, wow best Chinese I have ever had, better then my home town! Very clean, welcoming, you definitely get what you pay for! I cannot stress it enough how amazing it was, fresh, hot, fast service, totally recommend for outsiders of north bay if you re looking for some Chinese food!

Service was good. Most of the food was good and reasonably priced for the quantity. However stay away from the Sheng High noodles. It was bland and flavorless, no real seasoning. I myself had the safe chicken balls and fried rice, it was great! It is worth the vist or take out.

Restaurant was clean. Almond chicken was good, huge portion of chicken fried rice was bland. Egg roll was ok. Others enjoyed the General Tao Chicken. Only 1 server and she was busy but polite.

Manshou is great Canadianized Chinese. Made fresh and loads of it. Expect to take some home. It is just so good the next day!

Still waiting for one of our meals its been over an hour with only 4 tables in the restaurant on a Sunday night. Update: second plate came 20 minutes later some parts of broccoli burnt. While paying we saw 4 guys in the kitchen. We left after wasting 2 hours of our night and left no tip. We ended up being sick all night from the food. Just awful never have I had had worst service.
Placed an order for delivery it took two hours to get to my place the food was cold and when I called to complain I got yelled at over the phone this restaurant is a joke
Slowest delivery in town waited almost 2 hours Pick up not much better only gave us half of our order then had to wait 1hour for them to bring And when finally showed up was cold and over cooked !NEVER AGAIN!!!

Loved the egg rolls
For the meals that ive ordered Id say theres fair value in their prices, but ordering for a family adds up quick. They do unfortunately have a trend of closing in the later hours that they say they do service and provide no explanation (my guess is just speculation from multiple tried calls across an hour), which has happened to me many times.
Manshou has become my regular Chinese food restaurant both eat-in and take-out. The servings are large and the food is always delicious. Definitely my top choice for Chinese food in North Bay.

Chinese tea was lukewarm had to send it back. Egg rolls had no flavour. Wouldnt come back.
First time here. Ordered takeout for 4, arrived after 30 minutes to pick up. Waited another 25 minutes for food. No explanation or apology. Food was ok. Sauces were heavy on the starch, almost congealed. Flavors seemed dialed down and muted. Not much to make it memorable. Right in the middle of the pack as far as first impressions go.
Best food and service in North bay. The owner Steve and his wife have great service and greetings when you visit. The food is exceptional and portions very filling. Over all a ten in my books. Keep up the amazing service.

Bland, tasteless food.
Came here on date night and was shocked at the amount of food that we were served! All around us it was the same thing... like some secret everyone knew and comes to enjoy. Well I know now! And it was good too! Lots of seating, plenty of space.. quick service. Great for families, friends or date night ;)
Manshous food is consistent, tasty, and the best quality in North Bay. Customer service IS horrible but I always get take-out - it is definitely worth it.
We ordered delivery, and even on a freezing cold winter night of -40 with windchill the food was still hot. Everything was great! Best Chinese food Ive had in North Bay since moving from Toronto. Reasonably priced too. We will ever ordering again!
