Food was amazing! I had the chicken tostados and they were so delicious. The atmosphere reminded me of a quaint cantina with a great choice f Spanish music playing in the background …. very authentic
Hopefully this can be chalked up to a hot day, and hopefully this is not the norm, but we did not have a good experience there today. The young man was aggressive and combative when I kindly went in to explain my order was incorrect. He started to debate it with me and had a big attitude, throwing things, going to the back in a huff, shaking his head, really uncalled for behaviour. I decided to leave rather than have my order corrected because no one deserves to be treated like that. I’ve eaten there several times before and always order the same thing, so I know what I ordered, but didn’t feel like having an argument about it. Also, as a side note, it was almost $70 for 2 burritos, a taco and 3 drinks, which was definitely not worth it considering my meal went into the garbage. We will not be returning anytime soon.
This place has went so down hill. The past two times I’ve ordered my food was soggy and inedible. Tacos fall apart, can’t even eat them, tostadas are soggy with no crunch, meat is flavourless. Just disgusting. I used to love ordering from here and thought it was delicious, not sure what changed. Should really consider changing tortillas and flavouring the meat.
Menu on Skipthedishes is not very detailed. Led to me ordering something that had avocado in it without my knowledge. I am allergic to avocado. Tried contacting the restaurant, and was told that it was MY fault, and that I should just know that all their taco plates come with avocado dressing, despite it not being labeled anywhere on the menu or in item descriptions. Don't get me wrong, the food is great otherwise, and I've had very nice experiences with this restaurant before, but this was not one of them.
Authentic Mexican !!! If you like authentic Mexican food and not the American version, you’ll definitely love this place. The food is authentic and fresh. The workers are gullible and sweet. The place is located in downtown and has street parking outside. I had Quesadillas. The prices are a little high for the place but I don’t mind paying a little more for the taste.

Mr Pancho fills a need for flavourful food that’s not always easy to do in North Bay. Their food is delicious, the service is warm and friendly and the value is excellent. Can’t say enough good things about these guys. Huge thank you to them for staying open for pickup and curbside during these strange times. Ps, I’d have taken more pictures of our meal but I ate it all before I picked my phone back up.
We had gone a drive from Stouffville to North Bay on cold winter day and our target and hope was to find some good food for lunch. We parked in the downtown area and started walking around in search of a food joint which was open and would inspire us to step in. And that’s when we came across Mr Pancho and the idea of having Mexican appealed to us all (daughter and husband). It’s a small cozy place, nothing fancy, decor made of ethnic Mexican pieces. Menu is small and covers appetiser, mains and drinks. It was easy to choose and place the order. Order comprised of chicken soft tacos, 3 meat main platter and Pablo chicken main. Good serving size and the food was amazingly good. Very flavourful, good fresh ingredients used and accompanied by some awesome freshly made in-house sauce. Will highly recommend this place if one wants to try some fuss free, home like Mexican.
Got a 3 Carnes plate with pineapple Jarritos. Sorry no pictures. I ate too fast to take one. :)

Changing my review. I had their food at the Farmer s Market today. Grossly overpriced. But the reason I m changing my review: I m feeling very ill after trying their sample platter. Still giving them two stars because few years ago the burrito was really good.

Something happened in the last few years to the food I used to love this place but we just got some burritos and tacos, the burrito was kind of bland and the chicken tacos smelt and tasted like the smell of a barn full of horses

Always yummy and you can tell it s REAL food! Anyone saying bland is clearly expecting old El Paso and sugar filled white tortillas. Friendly service and giant portions. Prices seem high but make sense for both quality and quantity of what you get. They ve never messed up any of my orders, either!
This is a local favourite. But also, my son, who is a chef in Waterloo Region, insists on an order from here anytime he visits. The food is very well prepared. The authentic masa corn tortillas are incredible. The meats are all unique. I particularly recommend the poblano chicken, but they are all fantastic. A note for real Mexican cuisine: every once in awhile, they sell tamales. If you enjoy tamales the ones here are exceptional as are the sweet Mexican breads. Venture far and wide in their menu. Explore their specials. There are no disappointments outside of what might only constitute personal taste.

The best Mexican food Ive had here since my last trip to Mexico. They really get how its supposed to be, super authentic. The portions are great, the tacos are perfect. Their price increases are a lot though, which is very disappointing.
The finest authentic Mexican cuisine youll find for at least 100 square miles!! A hidden gem that my wife and I will be regulars at now that weve discovered how amazing this place is. Better yet, they have lots of vegan options and stuff for people with other allergies (in my wifes case, she cant have wheat). Location was clean. Service was very friendly. Food was top notch. And, prices were more than fair. Our new date spot in town!

This place is great! Never mind the simple atmosphere. The food is anything but simple. So great to have authentic Mexican in Northern Ontario. Highly recommend the burritos. You won t regret a meal here though.

Solid, good food. We had the combo platter with 1 burrito, 1 quesadilla, 2 tacos and 2 toastadas plus 2 drinks, which came to almost $55 with tax. This seems a bit high for a restaurant serving mostly takeout, but it was filling. You could also pick and choose your protein for each item, which is great. My husband and I liked the quesadilla and tostadas the most. Wed return and try the specials next time.
It is what is closest to Mexican food, logically there are no products like there are in Mexico and it is understandable that the food will not taste the same as in Mexico. The food isnt ugly either, but it met my expectations, so I give it a like. On one occasion I tried the fish fillet tacos and I loved them as delicious. I loved that and the suckling pig is delicious, but I recommend that you go and try it and judge for yourselves not by the comments of others.
Rice was hard and stale. Slow service. Poor value. Many menu items not available. My companion enjoyed his meal.
Food woukd be good, even when on the pricey side. But the attitude if the waitress is sub zero. I asked if she could turn down the music, ironically she didnt hear what I said. Then she rolled her eyes on me. Inwalked away in the middle of the meal.
Brought me back to cenotahs , we jump for 2 stories high into a giant swimming pool..fish danced slowly around due to lack of oxygen. .lol ..thx for the food

Fiesta Nacos with ground beef! It came loaded and with refried beans, guacamole, jalapenos and sour cream. I had half for lunch and half for supper. I will definitely be going back.

I visited the location at Northgate. I got a chicken burrito and it was huuuge! The chicken was so flavourful and the pico de gaillo and avocado dressing was i nice contrast to smokeyness of the chicken. The staff were very friendly. Im looking forward to trying something else next time

I didnt like the food in the mall today, the rice in the burritos is hard and cold, apart from the fact that in Mexican food the burritos dont have rice. The sauces must be fresh and natural, as well as the sauce, not combined with mayonnaise. I think it is misleading people because our Mexican food is not like that. We wanted a suckling pig burrito and they didnt have enough meat to make it. The young man who prepares takes the cheese with his hands, without gloves. The girl prepares and collects with the same gloves. The truth is that today they disappointed me.

Haven t even considered ordering from Quesada ever since ordering from here. Rice and meats are seasoned incredibly. There are some sauces that lack flavour but in general everything is typically incredible

First off I was blown away by the quality of the food at this food court restaurant! This is about the closest I have ever gotten to authentic Mexican food in Canada! I ordered a platter and was unable to eat all of it! They are very generous. I can hardly wait to get back to North Bay to try some more of their food! Amazing tacos.
I have had the food before and it was fantastic. Today a different story for one I waited almost 2 hrs for my food and when the delivery guy showed up he dropped it on the ground. The burritos were so salty that I couldn t eat them and the chicken quesadilla s had bone and grissel in them. Ordered beef tacos and got pork someone is dropping the ball over there.

I absolutely LOVE this place! Ive been wanting to get more into my culture and teach my children and this place has given us the opportunity to eat authentic Mexican food. We looove it. You can definitely taste all the flavors, like your mouth has just come alive!! I recommend this place if you want to try real good comfort food. Super friendly people, so kind and welcoming. This is the worst Mexican food I can honestly say Ive had. After reading so many positive reviews both myself and my girlfriend were excited to try it out while in town. We were both extremely disappointed, my Cochinita Pibil tacos were bland, soggy and nothing special. I hope this was just a very off day for you.

I visited the fisher location today (mall food court). They were out of what I wanted so I asked the worker s recommendation. They were helpful, descriptive and what they recommended was absolutely delicious. I d also like to mention that I could see through to the back kitchen and it looked absolutely spotless no easy feat for a busy and small kitchen space. Highly recommend either location! Delicious and great service.

Absolutely delicious. Had the tostadas roasted pork and Mexican style pulled pork reminds me of when my friend from Honduras made these growing up. Under20$ with a drink A+. Friendly service to top it off.

Oh my!! Where to begin... First time trying Mr. Panchos today! I dont think i have over eaten like that in a long time! the food was so fresh and so so sooo delicious. They definitely put their heart into what they are cooking. We loved it. I think we found our new favorite!

One of my local favorites, everything Ive tried has been fresh and delicious! Only place in town worth thinking of if you have a craving for Mexican. Prepared frech and served hot, tons of flavour and staff is always happy to serve. Happy to see them at our local Farmers Market as well, always a huge hit!
Presentation was great. The flavor of the tacos was nonexistent. It was hard to distinguish between the 3 meats I had, chicken,pork and beef. A more flavorful salsa or seasoning on the meat would have made it taste better. The staff was very friendly but cook was not wearing a mask.

I think Ive had almost everything off their menu and I love all of their food. Everything is authentic and delicious. Theyre also extremely generous with their portion size and are really kind people. I hope Mr.Poncho can stay in North Bay forever.

Service is ok, portions decent for the price, the combo platter gives you variety, but the food is bland and cold. Definitely a better choice than some of the fast food restaurants in the area, but definitely not 4.8 star worthy. I didn t find it authentic compared to what you get in Mexico and Los Angeles.

Yo i dont know why this place is advertised as real mexican food, we got two burritos for $30 and the filling was 90% ricearoni 7%chicken and like 3% random other toppings that have no business being on a buritto. Also they bland and have no spice what so ever taste like someone plaster butter all through it. This is not it chief.

This is a great place to get Mexican food. They also have vegan options. The owners and their staff are fantastic :)
Although the staff was polite, there was no concept of using masks here. They also handled food with bare hands. With Covid, this was nothing but red flag. The food, although decent portion, was also bland and tasteless. For not using masks and questionable food handling, I would strongly suggest avoiding this place. Im also going to call North Bay Health Unit about this.

Decided to stop by and try out the food at Mr Panchos. Its a cute little place with great food. We had tostadas, soft tacos and barbacoa which was my favourite. We will definitely be coming back again.

I didn t find the staff very friendly so it made the experience not as good as it should have been. We ordered a take out dinner for our family and we were not very impressed with the food. Food needs to be fresher.

Really good fresh, authentic Mexican food! We got the combo platter with 1 taco, 1 quesadilla, and a burrito. The burrito was huge, filling, and tasty. The taco was good as well. I enjoyed the quesadilla although on the platter it was just a veggie one! You could see and smell the meats cooking on the grill outside. Really well done guys. :) I just wish they offered some desserts too!

Always love visiting this restaurant. The lady that runs it always has a smile on her face and talks to every customer. I recommend the burritos, its huge and super filling. They let you put on your own hot sauce from the selection if about 20 or so, as well as their own homemade salsas. Today, they also had Hibiscus Tea, OMG so good.

Best dining experience I could ask for on date night with the wife. Yes, we could goto a different restaurant but we both would not be satisfied. We keep going back because it simply cannot be beat. Atmosphere, music, everything about this place makes it the gem of the city.

For some reason the burrito tasted like Chinese food. Kind of confused about the salsa/hot sauces but that is on me for not asking. Some odd toppings but overall pretty good.
