Greco's Pizza in North Bay

I have been eating Grecos pizzas for almost 50 years. Their pizzas are always the same predictable good tasting pizza. Thank you for being consistent.

Used to be great crust, sauce toppings. Average pizza, not what it used to be. Vegetarian options: Vegan cheese available Food : 3/5 |

Spent 15 minutes on hold and the food arrived barely warm. Grecos USED to have exceptional customer service, but it has gone to the dumpster.

Ive never really been into the restaurant BUT, their delivery service is amazing and always on time :) Food is great, fresh, savoury and just always perfect. I love the fact that I can get a fresh, made in restaurant, pita with anything that I want it in. Dietary restrictions: You can pick and choose what you want, always easier if you have issues.

Parking: Thin crust pizza was excellent! Recommended dishes

The guy the served me at the counter was very nice. The food was too expensive for what it was. The kitchen was quite dirty

Now that I have more family in North Bay, I am always pointing them towards Grecos for great food. This great restaurant has been around for a long, long time, and for good reason. Pasta is always difficult to get right at restaurants. Something about the sauce not being fresh and pasta not being properly cooked have turned me off from pasta at restaurants in the past. Grecos nails pasta, (among other dishes) every time. I got the cheese cannelloni one time, and it was hot, fresh, and delicious. Grecos will always be a North Bay staple. If you havent tried it yet, youre missing out!

My wife and myself have been to Grecos since 1971 and I have to say this is by far the worst experience we have ever had The pizza was warm to cold delivered It was supposed to be 1/2 ham and 1/2 mushroom and green pepper We received all colored for peppers the other half there was two big bubbles with little to none ham and there was hardly any cheese on the pizza Normally I dont complain about this but I feel it was slapped together with little consideration to looks and presentation I know your quality has generally surpassed our expectations and I know you can do better Please look into this so that your standards improve because I know you are better than this Thank you for listening

Old school , the way it should always be. Thought it burnt down but i found the other location for my Dovees birthday dinner.

Hands-down, one of the best restaurants in North Bay. The food is delicious, it is unique and interesting and so flavorful. But more than that, the customer service is exemplary. And the delivery team is flawless! Every time they come over, they are so kind when my dogs are out of hand. I cannot believe how nice every single employee is there.

40 mins late on delivery, ordered a bruschetta bread got a Friday bread. Pasta was dry af. Bun was good though lol Food

When you see quality of service change so much, you know this place is not worth your money. First experience was good when we dined in. Second was terrible. Pizza was delivered to us intact without any cutting, very soggy and very raw!! Plus their driver was rude and kept insisting house number wasnt there when it was! There are way better places in town that are worth your money

Reminds me of a more cozy old school pizza hut vibe. Food and service was amazing. Will most certainly return next time Im in the area.

So we used to visit Grecos often when living in North Bay. Actually both my husband and myself have worked there many many moons ago. He went in for the pizza, and it was absolutely fantastic. Hot, dripping with cheese, tons of pepperoni and we absolutely love your crust. We always try to make a stop there when in town. I have to say it was the best part of our trip

Once again, large hair in my sub. For a restaurant with so many long haired staff, youd think they would use hair nets. Been going for years but last time. Wont be back

Pass by here from Hamilton on a camping trip, got their family traditional meat pizza amazing stuff they load you up with toppings.

Greco s seems so well-known for its pizza, we thought we d give them a try on a warm summer Friday evening. Looked through their menu photos posted on Google Maps, and called to place a delivery order for a 14 Hawaiian and a small caesar salad. Had to repeat my address three times, plus once more, spelling out the street name. This is not that big of a town, folks, and Greco s has been around a long time, so was surprised it was so difficult to get my in-town address understood. Forgot to ask for a total (should have been given one, regardless), but was shocked when the driver arrived (in good time, for a busy night), and told me the charges. Obviously the menu pictures on Google Maps are *way* out of date!!! Pizza was hot, but a fairly thick crust and far too much cheese. The tomato sauce base tasted strange possibly from a tin, but definitely not made in-house. The pineapple flavour was there, but the ham was cut up so fine it was difficult to find and provided no taste either. The caesar salad was okay, with nice crisp fresh romaine and not too much dressing, but the large dried-bread croutons were hard and tasteless. Oh, and the delivery driver knew our location, as nearby neighbours are apparently regulars, so my street name should have been familiar. All-in-all, a middle-range meal, but we ll order elsewhere next time.

This has always been one of my regular restaurants in North Bay but on my recent visit I waited for more than 15 minutes without any service at all. I was not offered menus or glass of water or anything. I eventually left, giving up.

Whats with the mini meatballs? Are you so cheap as to charge 14$ for a sub with meatballs and cheese that you had to cut them down by half? What a joke, youve literally become a disappointment. Even subway didnt do this.

We all decided on Italian. The Mexican didn t seem authentic or appealing. Good for a simple family meal. Never been here before and got the sense the kitchen was having an off night. Parking: There were a couple open spots when we arrived. Lot is a little tight. It worked out just fine. Kid-friendliness: Hostess and servers treated the kids really well. Thank you!

We arrived at 4 45, almost restaurant was almost empty, and we gave our order. Three other tables came in, after us, and received their food before us. Wont be back.

Ordered a vegan pizza. Was disappointed with the lack of flavour. Perhaps it was close to their closing time, but server seemed a bit detached.

Greco s what happened to you? We spent $200 tonight and were completely dissatisfied. Are you under new management? Did you change your food supplier? We ordered 4 family sized pizzas, they were cut like amateurs, the crust was burnt/hard as a rock and the taste was definitely not the signature quality we ve come to enjoy over the years. Same goes for the Friday bread and the meat balls in the penne dish was also sub-par. Not going to lie, it bothers me to write something like this of such a reputable restaurant I grew up with, but something is clearly off.

We ordered a pizza with green olives and we end up with black olives. Our pizza is soggy, very disappointed for an over $60.00 order. Im keeping the awful words I want to say to myself! The taste of the food is really good so that is a positive.

I ordered pene Alfredo looking forward to a nice cheesy sause, then called back to add ginger. Didnt realize that this would change the whole pasta to a ginger and oil sauce. Its still in my fridge. Ill order from Dominos next time.

Great food and service and very nice makeover no change

Ive been twice, food was okay, the mains were nothing special, however. I must say, that I ordered the canneloni and the lasagna, and tried a bit of my friends spaghetti mestballs, I did not try the pizzas. It was all pretty bland tasting though. Their tomato sauce was bland, their meat was bland, there was not a single distinctive flavour. To me it seems like they did not use spices or maybe need to add more salt to bring out the flavours. I did really liked the appetizers escargot and the Friday bread. The sauce for the escargot DID have a good amount of flavour. Probably not going back though, the service is a bit slow. I have not been served my food in under 40 minutes there, and itd not particularly difficult things to make. Last time we did not get our mains for 1.5 hours and the appis took 1 hour. On top of that, there was no communication as to why or when the food would come. At the end they offered a discount, of just 20% though lol. Would recommend only going there for appetizers and to not go on an empty stomach because you will be waiting quite some time.

So very disappointed with my dinner tonight. It seems that the meatballs in the meatball sub are now the tiny frozen ones from the grocery store, with absolutely no flavour. The house salad is just grocery store bagged salad. Hope this is not the norm now.

We love eating at Grecos when were in North Bay, and they didnt disappoint this time either. We ordered bacon wrapped scallops with cheese as an appetizer for the first time, and it was delicious! The staff are attentive and friendly. The only thing we would change if we could is the noise level, but hey, its a popular place! >^..^<

Their waiter put me at a table next to a battery without telling me that it was extremely hot. I put my very expensive coat next to it and now I have a hole in my coat. Also, their lasagna was microwaved because it had lots of water.

Greco s is like a warm hug from my family when I visit. Everything is homemade, delicious and even the salad dressing is the same as 25 years ago. Such comfort!! The entire staff is so welcoming. Run by the best people! they work so hard. Linda special made me some escargot that I could bring home and it was absolutely delicious! same as usual. Thank you Stephanie and staff. Yummy and affordable

This Grecos is usually pretty good when it comes to food quality.

We usually get their pizza delivered, but we were walking by today so ate in and tried something different. Saw a bunch of people we know and had a great meal.

They should put a sign out there which says only white people . If you are not white, employees in there will make you feel like you come from a different universe and will kick you out. We went in there around 10:30 pm to dine in, we can see there are customers (white) dining in there and the place is open till midnight but they kick us out and said sorry its closed, only take out.

Easily some of the best pizza in Northern Ontario. I drive in from Sudbury when I have the cravings and have even picked up half baked pizzas by plane a few times when I was working for clients (friends) out of town. Well worth the drive/flight every time. Parking: Parking can be a little tricky during busy times.

Grecos have the best pizza in town..they have a delicious variety for salads and have never had a bad meal there ever..

food has gone way downhill. ingredients are way worse than theyve been historically. might as well just go to Grecos lakeshore. also the owner is an absolute nightmare. do yourself a favor and support someone who knows what theyre doing. service fantastic otherwise

Read the description of crispy fresh chicken breast with choice of pasta. Chicken was neither crispy or fresh. Pasta was OK but a bit gloppy. My dinner partners pizza looked better. Service was friendly and fairly quick although I wouldnt have minded waiting for an actual freshly prepared chicken breast.

Awesome pizza and pasta! Caesar was saucy and tasty. Deluxe pizza is fantastic. Its been there for a while, so they usually know how to do things well. Staff were young but great. And the place just looks like a regular, easy Italian restaurant.

We odrer from this resraurant at least twice per month however the meal we received tonight is sub par and honesty makes me not want to order from here again.

I have been going to this location or ordering from here since I was 18yrs old and Im now 49. Ive always gotten the Gourmet Pizza. Its still as tasty as it was 31yrs ago. I love their pasta and subs too dont get me wrong. But, this pizza is Delicious

Wow, I can not really express in words the wonderful experience we had last night at this restaurant. Even when having a discussion with the server Vicky, you could really sense it was a great place to work as she expressed her 15 years at this restaurant and even her daughter worked there for sometime. The food was great and I am a person who pays attention to cleanliness, atmosphere, and quality of service as I have worked in restaurant for years and both myself, my husband and the other couple we were with( from Nova Scotia) expressed how great our visit was. I am very impressed to say I could not find any concern to address . Way to Go Grecos Algonquin North Bay Staff and Vicky your years of experience and personality is memorable.

The pizza at Grecos is always fantastic. Never disappointed. The young lady who served us was personable and fun to talk with.

Overall food was good. The pizza is always a 10/10, and they have these cheese bread that truly is amazing to eat. Have gone for years and will continue to go as long as Grecos is there.

Im from a Northern Ontario town that supposed to be renowned for its pizza but Ill be the first to say Grecos trumps Sault pizza in every way. The BBQ Chicken pizza is one of the best pies Ive even eaten, and I make to sure have it everytime Im in town. Great grilled chicken, red onion, sweet BBQ sauce, and the corn meal crust just completely sets it off. Order on and experience pure joy and happiness.

Family favourite when we come home to North Bay. The back half of the restaurant near the washrooms is sickeningly hot though. Ceiling fan or different blinds to block the sun. The rest of the restaurant is quite comfortable.

Update: Grecos on Algonquin was renovated recently. The new decor is a nice update while preserving the core of the restaurants traditional look. Food and service is still topnotch! Grecos isnt just a fantastic restaurant, its a North Bay institution. Pasta, pitas, tortillas ... Everything is made fresh and it all tastes awesome. Do yourself a favour -- eat at Grecos

A pleasant surprise. Food was good and staff amazing. Of all the places my friend and I visited for meals, Grecos was the best.

Great food but forgot my dressing for the Greek salad. Very disappointed. When we are in North Bay we always order from Grecos. We typically are there at least 8 times in the winter for snowmobiling and have never had an issue. Hopefully this was a one time occurrence.

My apologies to this Greco s Pizza, I received a horrible mess of a pizza from the Greco s Pizza on Lakeshore **NOT FROM THIS separate and independent restaurant with the same name**! Don t make the same mistake as me, make sure that you re ordering from THIS place instead of the terrible Lakeshore one!

Local North Bay restaurant with lots of history and a great atmosphere. Pizza is amazing (gluten free options as well), and staff is great! Food

We came here on a long weekend for dinner with our friends and two kids - a total of 7 people. We were very happy with the service, and the food was amazing. Our server was cheerful and made great recommendations. All the staff were really friendly. We ordered two family sized pizzas - BBQ chicken and mexican. They were both really yummy and we all ate happily. This place was an amazing find and we will definitely come back again when were in the area. Vegetarian options: They had a bunch of different vegetarian options, and you can customize your pizza to make vegetarian pizza as well. Parking: There is a free parking space right in front of the restaurant. I believe it can easily fit up to 16 cars. Kid-friendliness: They were very welcoming to the kids we had in our party, and gave the older kid an activity sheet which kept him busy through the meal.

Greco s Pizza is a top tier elite restaurant, dined here with the Ontario Tech university s men s soccer team. They accommodated our group of 33 with ease, food and service was amazing. Food arrived to our tables instantly, we were in and out of there within an hour. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any teams visiting North Bay.

Amazing restaurant - delicious food, outstanding service, nice background music. We ordered a steak soup, garlic shrimp which came with garlic bread and a medium BBQ chicken pizza - we couldnt finish it all and had to take half of the pizza out.

Whenever our business and travels bring us back up to the Bay, Grecos is *always* on the list of stops. Good service and great pizza every time, and good support of the local microbrewery. Same recipes as when it was my old stomping grounds (Friday bread and a Deluxe with black olives is the bomb). Kid-friendliness: On our last visit our group had a 2 year old in tow and they made every effort to get him served to keep the happy mood going. Well done.

Best pizza for miles and miles...if youve never been here...do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner....deluxe pizza with green olives is a staple in my diet...but club pitas and literally any pasta shouldnt be overlooked!!

Pizza was alright, but the cornmeal thing just isnt for me. Makes the crust dry and grainy. The box was covered in it. Not appetizing.

Theyre turkey pitos are always awesome Their Ginger shrimp pasta was good but the only thing that I would change is take the panini noodles out and switch them for either angel hair pasta or spaghetti or cantalini?! I just found the noodles to thick but the shrimp was good in it! The vegetables saute were good in it. It just the noodles I would have preferred spaghetti like.

This is such a cute, local place to eat in! I had ordered the lasagna and it was great! I wouldve loved more ricotta in between the layers, but hey, it was still delicious! The server was nice, and she had great recommendations and was able to help us out with any/all our inquiries with the food and restaurant. Highly recommend to check this place out when youre in town!

Northbay hidden treasures.

We are down for a hockey tournament and heard of this place so we gave it a shot. We had the pesto and meatlover and they are great. Nice thin crust, nice undercarriage. Not over greasy and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Delivery took over 1.5 hours but with this big tournament in town its worth the wait.

The food here is amazing. I would highly recommend ordering a pizza, chicken wrap, any salad, or their taco bowls. First entering is different as you are often seating yourself. Servers are great, the atmosphere is nice but parking can be a little difficult with the location.
