I m not sure how people had a good experience at this establishment my wife wanted me to try sushi after having it here she said she will never eat sushi again so I m glad she sees my point it s alot of money for fake crab and frozen shrimp ring shrimp wrapped in a half inch of rice how did they get such good reviews

Ordered through skip the dishes. Incomplete order. Courier is not allowed to check the items for heath and safety reasons. So the error is on the business. 3 items ordered. Only 2 arrived. Not happy. I will not order from them again, nor will I set foot in the business.

This place is amazing! I cannot speak highly enough. We are huge sushi lovers. We came from Southern Ontario, so we have so many options for sushi .but Beyond Sushi, 1000% better than anywhere I ve been in southern Ontario. The service was amazing, very welcoming and accommodating. The atmosphere was cozy, modern, fresh and inviting. The food, Oh my goodness! Quick, Fresh, hot, flavourful. My husband loved the soup so much that he ordered 5 bowls LOL. OH .and the options for sushi rolls, soooo many and so yummy and unique and flavourful. This is definitely the sushi place of the North. WE will definitely be back. Thank you so much!!!

What a lovely sushi spot! My family and I went here on our vacation. The portions are huge and the presentation is A+. The staff here are extremely kind and accommodating.

First time coming and we really enjoyed it. The food was really good and the staff were super friendly. Despite there being a total of 4 tables taken and many to go too they sat us where they have their jar of utensils and everything else that s an easy grab for them - while convenient for us to turn around and grab what we needed, it was loud - would definitely recommend adding something (not sure what can be done) or at least having that table as a last resort as it was hard to hear anyone talking with all the rattling/shuffling behind us.

I have had sushi all over from Mississauga to North Bay and I rarely give 5 star but this is by far the BEST sushi place ever . Food , atmosphere and service is the next level . The salmon sashimi is the best I have ever had . A must try for anyone who likes sushi . Spending your hard earned money is easy here , well worth it.

Ordered from here a few times and chicken skewers were amazing however they are now half a skewer of chicken and charge the full price as a full skewer. They also charged me $2.25 for a pop and should have been $1.00 as advertised on line. We are just slowly getting ripped off everywhere I ordered $60 of food with 1 pop and wasn t enough to feed 2 adults and a child. Will not be back.

Amazing sushi, especially for being in Northern Ontario. Top 3 place for me out of 20+ I ve been to in Ontario. The staff are always super friendly and make you feel welcome. The sushi is amazing, and always fresh. The lunch special for takeout is a great deal and hits that sushi itch when you forgot to bring your lunch to work. Really enjoyed the dinner vibes. The atmosphere lighting, and decor made for a really nice dinner. Only knock would be dinner on the weekend can be a bit pricey ($40 ish after tax) so I d probably recommend lunch or dinner during the week.

Do not trust the pictures of the food on the website! I ordered pad thai noodles with extra peanuts. Picked up food and went home, noticed tiny written words on receipt no peanuts. Called them and was told there is never peanuts in their pad thai, even though website clearly showed peanuts on the dish. It is disappointing to say the least, sadly my pad thai is not even edible.

Me and my friend wanted to speak to the manager (not about any complaints we didn t even eat here, we just wanted to ask her some questions) and she was extremely rude for absolutely no reason we would have immediately left if she said she want busy but instead she got extremely rude and used a very angry tone of voice when we were being very nice so that was a very horrible experience

I have dined at this restaurant about 15 times now. It is a go to of mine in town for fresh sushi and it also has several other options available from tempura, to noodles to vegetable options. Every time I go the staff are kind and attentive. When a waitor or waitress fills your water without you asking its such a plus these days. The manager is super friendly and I often see him helping his staff and getting drinks or serving food. Its really refreshing to watch. The atmosphere is attractive and calming and we have never seen an issue with cleanliness here. Its always nice and the tables are cleared and clean. Would recommend to anyone seeking a comfortable and delicious experience!!

Had a discount card from when they opened that had no expiry on it went in to get sushi and they wouldnt return the card which when they opened said was good for anytime we ordered .. and the food has really gone down hill lately for its price

Went to have lunch on January 1st, they usually open on holidays. The food was delicious and very fast. I highly recommend their noodle dishes. The sushi rolls were fresh and delicious. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Nice family atmosphere and very clean.

I previously gave the food 5 stars, but lately its been a hit or a miss. There is too much tempura used in the rolls, and the veggie fried rice sometimes has very little veggies. Its still a great place though, and their lunch time special is a great deal. Vegetarian options: Sweet potato and avocado rolls are great. So is their veggie fried rice.

My wife and I absolutely love this place. We eat in on a regular basis. We also own a small business and we took our staff here for our staff Christmas get together. The service is always top notch all staff is amazing. And the food is exceptional. I will continue to be a regular guest at this restaurant. Thank you to the older gentleman that works there all the time to always make us feel like we re friends to this amazing establishment.

Nice atmosphere, kind staff, delicious food, and excellent quality. I find the portions generous, and enjoy each time we visit. Kid-friendliness: They always have a highchair available for my child, and I dont feel unwanted bringing them.

Fast service, but food is ok - big portions, fresh veggies, but the rice itself is a bit sweet and a bit mushy/gloopy. Spicy crab tempura maki was pretty good, the spicy mayo took away some of the sweetness. Tempura batter is also sweet. Still took it home to eat later. :) Staff are all very friendly, polite and helpful, and the restaurant is decorated nicely and clean/neat even with the dinner rush. $40 incl tip for california maki, spicy crab tempura maki, 4 salmon sushi and 2 crab tempura orders (2 ea 4 total); so not much more expensive than most sushi restaurants. Parking: Careful of icicles, park on the left side. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair users will have difficulty entering the restaurant, tables are spaced enough apart for access once inside - not sure about the washrooms though.

We have been here twice and LOVE this place. We always get the all you can eat menu and have not been disappointed. Food: The food here is amazing and the beef short ribs are to die for! Everything is fresh, tasty, flavourful, with good presentation. I highly recommend their cheese wontons, beef short ribs, shrimp tempura, and of course the sashimi + sushi. My hubby enjoyed the grilled salmon and katsu chicken as well. Staff: The staff here is super friendly, polite and well mannered. They do a really good job checking in on tables, removing emptied plates, refilling water and presenting orders. The owner has a great memory and always greets kindly when he sees a familiar face. Service is definitely on point. Location/Restaurant: The establishment itself is presentable, clean and has a very warm welcoming atmosphere. Washrooms are maintained clean(I hate places where the washroom stinks). Pricing is reasonable, for the both of us all-you-can-eat, 1 coke and tip it was $92 Parking: Its in a small plaza so can park anywhere out front Kid-friendliness: Totally a family environment restaurant, Ive seen the hosts attend to picky kids without hostility or negativity.

My husband and I went at 3 pm for lunch. We were forced to order from the all-you-can-eat dinner menu. $80 for 1 cucumber and avocado hand roll, 1 order of avocado and yam maki, 1 order of avocado yam mango maki (fell apart so we didnt eat all) 2 miso soups, 1 order spring rolls, green tea for 1. We were so disappointed in and shocked by that rip-off, we just paid and left, but will never return. Further to this, they dont offer real wasabi, and the soy sauce was surprisingly lacking in flavour.

Perfect, quick hot professional. Loved it. I would have liked more red sauce though. I didnt have enough.

I wasnt intending on getting an all ypu can eat, but for dinner, they didnt have a menu to order just a few things. Anyway, its all you can eat for dinner. The staff were very friendly and smiling (which is nice) and the food came very quickly. Got to sample a number of items from the menu, so that was fun too. Enjoyed the food overall. The rolls were actually pretty big so kind of almost more than a mouthful but tasty. The soya sauce on the tables was odd, it actually tasted pretty watered down compared to normal soya sauce. Even their Wasabi didnt seem very hit like usual. Maybe its the brand they use... It would have a nicer atmosphere if there were some little partitions or something between tables as its a big open space and one can see and hear everyone eating. Overall nice place.

We come up to North Bay once a year from Niagara. We decided to try Beyond Sushi after a terrible experience at another sushi place here in North Bay last year. Lets just say Beyond went above and beyond with food, service and atmosphere. We were so impressed. The food was delicious and fresh, the service was impeccable. We will definitely be back next summer for round 2.

all i have too say is that Chinese in north bay isnt even mediocre... it sucks, period. they dont know how to use ginger, garlic, any spices . its all garbage. i can make lomein at home in 5 mins thats better than any of it.

The food is good and the staff is nice, however to sit in at lunch with no other option than a 30 dollar all you can eat? I would encourage staff to consider offering a lunch special(same as their takeout) or at least let people order individual items.

Restaurant service has definitely gone. Downhill we used to order Beyond sushi dinner for 2 b two orders of 8+ an extra general tao and some sushi on the side for my family have six We ve done this consecutively for about a year and a half now, on the 20th of last month we received an order that was $93 and change and everything except the mango rolls sucked. The general tao was over cooked and salty and extremely chewy and we were not satisfied because of this we called and they told us they gave us a credit in the book I went in today to get my credit and they only had marked in one general Tao when I had purchased two of them so I have a $93 order they ve replaced one thing of general Tao, and even then it was still over cooked salty and chewy. I will not be going back to this restaurant.

A great place where the staff were super friendly. As a new timer to this location. The staff were happy to allow us to experiment with new tastes. When we werent certain of a taste or flavour the staff were happy to explain what to expect. Beyond Sushi-North Bay has our stamp of approval! I dont trust most if any sushi places that are not close to the ocean. This place was absolutely incredible. The staff was awesome. The food was so delicious. Very fresh and clean. The atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. Very traditional and perfect for someone who loves Asian culture and food. 100% will be returning again and again as many times as I can. Best place in north bay so far in my opinion.

$ 54 for dinner is insane. For one person. Very pricy. They say that vegan is made seperate and we take care of cross contamination, but thats not the case. When the dish came I immediately spotted a piece of meat. And he just took away saying sorry. And shamelessly charged me for entire meal after not eating anything after that tragedy.

Ordered takeout. Took forever at 1130am on a Thursday. Egg Roll. Very typical. Not exceptional. Had shrimp lo mein. Shrimp were flabby and unflavored. Try brining or marinating them. Lo mein was basic. Very under seasoned and underwhelming.

This place was great! I went with 3 other people 1 being a child we ate absolutely everything that came to our table it was delicious and the service was excellent!!!! Im not a sushi person but my friends loved it and couldnt get enough of it!

I am normally happy with my orders I get from here but tonight it was not good Unfortunately the fried rice I ordered tasted like it was cooked in a dirty wok or one that had something previously burnt as my rice had a burnt taste I was also very disappointed that all the peas and possibly other veggies in it were dehydrated because my peas were extremely gross and solid n dry tasting

This has to be one of the best places I have been for sushi. The presentation was short of an art piece. Picture perfect. The food was exquisite and perfectly prepared by professionals. I cant express how delicious it was in words definitely check this place out. You wont be disappointed.

It was great to be able to go out and enjoy some awesome sushi. Service is great, friendly and fast. Temperatures were spot on. Our server had only just been hired and was on her second day, she did a great job. We have been ordering in from here all through covid and the food is always good but nothing beats the freshness of dining in. We will be back . Thanks

Took the whole family for dinner. Was nice to be able to sit inside again after the C. Service was prompt and very courteous. Food was really yummy and for 2 teenagers very filling. Will be telling everyone about this gem. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy dinner again. I love seafood sushi and the food here was very fresh and yummy.

Too expensive.

Occasionally have takeout or dine in here when Im craving sushi and Chinese dishes. Food and service is pretty good. Only downside is price; almost $30 with tax/tip per person for lunch AYCE no drinks with VERY little option. Better to just go for dinner menu; similar pricing, but tons of options and better ones to choose from.

Back to years later and the food was still great! Dinner was great and the staff are doing a great job of dealing with COVID protocols.

Recently I made a large order (11+ people) to the hospital. When we received our food, despite asking for extra wasabi and ginger, we had only been given 2 small containers split with wasabi and ginger. Additionally, we had ordered spicy mayo and that was not included. When we called the store back, we were told the only way we could receive what we had ordered is if we paid the 6$ delivery fee. The manager was not understanding or willing to compromise, this was really disappointing for us all and especially disappointing that Beyond Sushi was not willing to fulfill the order as paid for or as promised without wanting to charge us again for delivery. Leaving us hospital staff very disappointed in the service.

This is a cozy place with friendly staff. We were greeted with smiles and sat immediately. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. One thing that would improve the experience would be having the regular drinks on the menu. Theyve only got wine and beer, no mention of non alcoholic beverages. We were asked what we wanted to drink, and we had to ask for what was available then we were only offered pop. Juice and tea werent offered, but others had some on their tables. Then we were handed a tablet (this is the menu) without any explanation of how to use it. Luckily its easy to figure out, but an offer of how to order would improve the customer experience. Lastly, they kept forgetting items wed ordered despite the items being on a list. The staff come by to pick up your plates but no one asks how youre enjoying the food or if you need anything, so we had to keep flagging someone to ask for missing items. Despite the little nuances, Ill definitely be back. The food is incredibly delicious!

Best all you can eat sushi in town! Update: After over two years of not going thanks to the pandemic, went back and was amazed to find that its even better than I remembered! Everything was unbelievably delicious, but the pad thai and spicy chicken skewers were really on a whole other level. Would honestly give six stars if I could. Hands down, Beyond sushi remains the absolute best Asian cuisine I have ever tried.

Amazing food. Writing a review because it was so good this time around even though Ive eaten at the buffet and picked up during covid days over the past couple years. The buffet has improved since covid restrictions have been lifted as its consistently busier, which ensures everything is fresh. The chicken was so crispy/crunchy, and the sushi was amazing as usual. Just $20.99 for the buffet Monday - Thursday is an absolute steal when a standard McDonalds meal with tax is $10.95.

Disappointing. White tuna and salmon roll were spoiled - tasted awful. Take away and online menus do not have images or descriptions of hot dishes and server was not very knowledgable of the menu so ordering was difficult and tedious. Beyond roll was delicious though. Dietary restrictions: Accommodating to gluten free.

Best sushi in North Bay! Staff are very kind and welcoming. All you can eat is pricey but comparable to all you can it in any other city. The lunch special is perfect with 2 or 3 rolls for more affordable pricing. Order online and it s ready in less than 30 mins, or call and they usually have it ready in 20 for pick up.

Ordered a sushi platter for a family of 4. Ingredients were very fresh and flavourful.

Was 1st time at restaurant for myself and company out of town. One friend had been at a sushi restaurant before, but the other and myself had never. Food was not the best... and choice very limited. The customer service was horrible to say the less. Bug found on friends bowl ....Wich was then down played by server...saying that they are flies in the air and it happens. Insinuated fruit flys. Ive seen fruit flys and cant say I agree. Then we were rushed saying that had to place last order, we had just gotten there. If we over order have to pay extra for what is left. How does one determine that if its last order can place. You want to be full, it is all you can eat but if get to much will pay if order to little will not have eaten all I wanted....but cant order anything else... They started sweeping around our table.... Even took my plate away. Oh did I even mention plate was dropped back on table sending food all over table..on friend and in her beverage. No apologies nor did waitress pick up the sauce and carrot pieces all over table. If youd like a little class in a restaurant...it wont be found there.

Food was tasty and serving staff was pleasant, but we did not get half the food we ordered. There was a limit on how many sashimi you order, and they did not bring orders for more despite their policy saying to order more if you wanted more. We ordered for 4 people and were limited to 6pcs of salmon sashimi per order for the table, and in total only got a handful of pieces of sashimi for a table of 4, it was disappointing to say the least, as sashimi is the highlight of all you can eat sushi for us.

Amazing sushi/chinese place within walking distance from the Canadore College residence. Im definitely gonna be coming back for more over the course of my college term. They have a huge menu with so many tasty options. I recommend their chicken teriyaki and their california roll.

Had a great evening out with family and the food was delicious. First time there, service was excellent, food hot, was quick from order to deliver to table we almost had trouble keeping up lol. Overall it was a great place to eat out. Kid-friendliness: Grandson was with us and didnt see any annoyed faces around us but then he wasnt overly loud, just a normal three year old. The woman serving us was very accommodating.

My first time at Beyond Sushi! Absolutely loved it, the food was great and the service was awesome!! Definitely will be back!

Visiting from Toronto and love my Sashimi. Its North Bay so the Sashimi selection was not vast but the quality and service was great. Definitely swing by next time Im in town.

Friendly, welcoming staff. An interesting mix of sushi and asian food, all very delicious. Will definitely return when next in town. The only real choice for sushi etc in North Bay, esp if you dont want an argument with the staff. Wife really enjoyed the food AND service.

Delicious food, the all you can eat option is good to try different kinds of sushi.

i went recently and wow! all the food was absolutely delicious. everything came out pretty quick and i had a wonderful time. definitely going again some time!

Food was ridiculously expensive, me and a friend sat for 30 minutes order some sushi and the bill was $89, for 1 adult and one child

What a nice little sushi place. Food was good, service was great, staff all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed ourselves and the price isnt bad for all you can eat. I honestly am scared by bargain basement pricing and seafood being together. Im OK with paying a bit more than an average meal. Well be back!
