Churchill's Prime Rib House in North Bay

I was really leery to give Churchills a second chance.... From driving from Sudbury only to find it closed for filming to being served steak instead of Prime Rib, I was fed up. Received a gift card and it took me years to want to redeem it. Ordered the prime rib for takeout and it was excellent. The chef even offered to cut it up and it was flavourful and had a generous portion size.

Dining at Churchill s Prime Rib House in North Bay was an unforgettable experience, thanks to Leslie, our incredible server. From the moment we walked in, Leslie s warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a fantastic evening. She was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and timing each course perfectly. Leslie s knowledge of the menu and her passion for excellent service truly enhanced our meal, especially with her recommendations on wine pairings and dessert. The food itself was superb, but it was Leslie s outstanding service that made the night memorable. A true gem of Churchill s, she made us feel like valued guests, and we ll definitely be back because of her. * Our dining experience at Churchill s Prime Rib House in North Bay was unforgettable, thanks in large part to our fantastic waitress, Leslie. As soon as we arrived, Leslies warm welcome set the perfect mood for the evening. The food was excellent, but it was Leslies exceptional service that made the evening memorable. Amazing food and drinks! The service is fantastic!

Bryce was our phenomenal host to myself and my wife Dee for her birthday! Fantastic food, and a day she will never forget!

Ok so here s what worked and what was wrong at Churchill s. When we arrived at the restaurant things seemed good nice venue, pretty interior layout. Wine list was extensive and very state of the art based on the computer device left at our table, and delivery of initial glass of wine was good. However within 15 minutes of our arrival things got a bit dicey. It started when we ordered their special Caesar salad which was delicious in a fun format with the tear drop cover covering the salad under smoke. But that salad took about 45 minutes from the time we ordered. From there it was another 1 hour for my partner s pickerel order and my chicken breast to get delivered to our table. An hour and a half had passed since we first sat down. Even worse when the dishes were delivered both the entrees were only slightly warm and the underlying vegetables were cold. I pointed this out to the waitress and she exclaimed wow, they should have stayed hot under heat lamps ?!? Wow so it s the heat lamps. Who would ve guessed they were so critical, but then I remembered McDonalds. But, this wasn t supposed to be that experience . So, I thought I would just point out the poor execution to the Manager who upon following me back to the table said I can get you a replacement meal of prime rib in 30 seconds! . Hmmmm, something seems amiss here. Prime rib was one of their signature dishes at $40+ and they can pull it out of the sous vide and pop it into the microwave?? If I had to guess this restaurant suffers from service staff incompetency combined with poor management oversight. Be forewarned-this is a hit and miss experience restaurant. The worst kind of place to visit if you re looking for quality and consistency particularly at these prices.

Three Finns had a one-night stopover in North Bay and picked up some food from Churchills for dinner. Fantastic food! Thank you for the surprise as well!

Delicious every time, Churchills provides a great culinary experience leaving your taste buds wanting more. Ive ben here multiple times and will be back soon.

Amazing gem in North Bay.

Pricey but staff was genuine and friendly. And the Wagu burger and fries was to die for!!! No kidding. Think best burger Ive ever had!!!

Stayed overnight in north bay and was craving a steak dinner, so off we went to Churchills prime rib house. I loved the old charm of the restaurant, the servers were amazing and friendly. I want to say, this was the best meal I ve had at a steak house in a very long time, we are usually keg customers, we love the keg and have nothing bad to say there but at Churchills, our dining experience was so delicious!! We had, barculture Caesar, stuffed ravioli with truffle butter sauce, my steak was the fillet mignon, and the other steak was wood fired strip loin. Then a couple of desserts with coffee. If you go, please have the bar culture appetizer, I m still dreaming of it ! Thank you churchills for a great dinner!!

Birthday dinner with 10 guests in the wine cellar. Everyone raved about the food and the service. Both were exceptional. Our server Tara was fantastic - attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and gladly acted as our official photographer.

Never had a bad meal yet. Only plave in town that has been consistent for years. Doesnt matter what you order. Its all good!

Amazing food, amazing staff. A great experience.

We got married here May 4, 2024. Their staff were absolutely INCREDIBLE, the food was raved about, and the entire night was spectacular. Lesley (the manager) was so quick to offer solutions for any hiccup that popped up for us prior to the wedding even though none of these issues related to the services provided by Churchills, and the entire wedding day was flawless. Not a single issue. All of the staff are so friendly and personable. Their kitchen staff were so helpful when my husband and I returned to pick up some of our stuff. The cost was extremely accurate to what we had all discussed and predicted, and there were no surprises or hidden fees when we went to pay the bill! Thank you all for all your help & for making this a great night. I am especially thankful for the server who stitched me back up when a button snapped on my wedding dress!!!

Beautiful dining setting where staff and the owner pay great attention to detail to ensure your best dining experience. The chef is excellent and the menu always a delight. If you are looking for originality and classical unique setting, , this is the place, particularly for special occasions.

Great place for dinner. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely perfect. The appetizers we ordered were absolutely divine. I recommend the escargot, scallops and Ravioli. Service was great as well. Prices are reasonable and I love how they are able to find a balance between being a traditional steakhouse and a fun/trendy fusion restaurant. They make a mean mojito as well. I love mine extra minty and they did not disappoint!

Although the city has little to offer in March for tourism, Churchill s was a great surprise! In a subdued and warm atmosphere, the restaurant offers refined and very tasteful cuisine which goes perfectly with the wide selection of wines, particularly from the region. The welcome is very warm, the service attentive and the view ideal since it overlooks Lake Nipissing.

A great place to experience low lit fine dining.

Short visit to North Bay and decided to have dinner here on the weekend because of the stellar reviews. What a fantastic place! We ordered the prime rib and the short ribs- one of the best meals we ve ever had! My partner is from the UK and said the Yorkshire pudding was the best they ve had outside of England. It s not a cheap meal, but you get what you pay for. Will eagerly return if we ever end up in town again!

Friends treated my wife and I here at Churchills. Were from out of town so our first time there. Our waitress was fantastic, had lots to say about menu options as well as wine options. While we were mulling over appetizers Bryce the chef came to the table for a visit. Such excellent personal service. Appetizers and the main were just amazing. Beyond expectations. I think more trips to North Bay are necessary just to eat at Churchills again. Thank for a memorable evening.

My partner and I attended Churchill s on Valentine s Day. After having a reservation booked for over 3 weeks and working all day we were both very excited for a date night. Unfortunately our experience left us feeling quite upset. The food itself was amazing and our waitress was very kind. The hours state kitchen closes at 10pm, our reservation was made for 9:45pm as we work 12 hour shifts so we understood the food would come out faster than normal. However, once our food arrived the staff became increasingly loud, we could hear their conversations throughout the whole restaurant which included cursing, shouting and unprofessional conversations about their private lives. This really put a damper on our experience as we spent over $150 on our meal, we were hoping to have a quiet and intimate night which most definitely was not the case. Our waitress apologized at the end of the night for the noise but then proceeded to say that everyone is just excited. It felt like the staff had forgot my partner and I were still trying to finish our meal and chat but at the point we could barely hear eachother. I was really hoping for a better experience here.

My favourite restaurant in North Bay! The food is always consistently top notch and cooked perfectly. Every time I have friends in from out of town, I bring them here for Tapas and they always love it! I celebrate all my special occasions here. The staff are amazing and know you by name when you walk in and the chef is always inspired with new flavours and culinary adventures. My absolute favourite dishes are the cultura Caesar and the pan fried gnocchi. They also make a mean smoked old fashioned!

Perfect place for celebrations of all types. Full bar with a good selection of liquor. Waitress was amazing Both I and my partner had the prime rib, which was really amazing. The prime rib could have been better if it had a crust on the outside with herbs and spices. Just seemed a little bland compared to somewhere like the Keg.

You have to eat at Churchill s Prime Rib if you have a serious chicken sandwich craving, and don t want a soggy bun or a bland sauce. The quality of product is always beyond my expectations for the price.

Came up to Northbay for ice fishing stayed for the Prime rib. The slice of prime rib I had was very tasty and the au jus as well!

Delivered some fantastic food, really went the extra mile

The meal was not what I expected at all. The potatoes had huge lumps in the and the prime rib was grisly. There were no salads or bread dishes that were included in the meal at the price they charge. The wine barely filled the bottom of the wine glass. Extremely cheap for a supposed high end restaurant. Will never return.

My meal was way to expensive, and wasnt filling. I ordered an appetizer and a cocktail and this cost over $40. I was also asked to move tables during my meal even though I was originally seated by the manager.

Wow...dont go out for prime rib often but this was worth every penny...fantastic...loved it

Went here for the first time and was blown away by the whole experience. Absolutely wonderful! We tried the chef s table, 5 course meal. Every course was beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients, and tasted amazing. Service was also top tier. I m excited to come back and try some of the items off the regular menu.

Drinks are ridiculously expensive

I was not recommended, just saw this place on my way to hotel and decided to try it. Best impression, good wellcoming clients. The food, oh Lord!!! Out of 10 i gv you 20. The service is unbeatable all this in a incredible vibe. Not only the restaurant but also clients inside, very polite people all categories. Take a time to say hi and a simple goodbye when we left. For sure, i will drive all the way from Sudbury just for a dinner, and will recommend to everyone. Churchill prime Rib North bay, you Rock . An amazing atmosphere, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff members were so friendly.

We just celebrated our 31st Anniversary at Churchills this past Tuesday night, the atmosphere was quiet for conversation the food was amazing. We have decided that from now on Churchills will be the place we will be going to for all our future Anniversary suppers.

Excellent food and presentation

Good location, parking, and accessibility. The attendants were courteous and professional. The place was about 40% full and still had to wait over an hour for my order. Lots of older families. Some younger people at the bar. Having said that the food was incredibly good. The cheff is a genius and it was totally worth the wait. By far the best prime rib seak Ive ever had. Prices are steep but worth it.

Ive been here a few times. The atmosphere in the restaurant is like being in an old English Grandmothers house. The food is great, but expensive. Service is good. They also have The Loft, which is a newly expanded room on the upper floor where they have musical entertainment. Parking: They have a small, free parking lot, but when its full, it can be hard to find other nearby parking.

Great dining experience. I actually prefer the tapas menu. Service and atmosphere are above and beyond!

Great food. Service was a little slow but it was a busy day for them being Canada. At least it contributed to the leisurely pace and we did not feel rushed. Loved the prime rib and creme brule! Nice pub like feel.

Our 10th anniversary dinner

The Prime rib was great!

We stopped in for an early dinner and were so pleased with the menu, food plating, and service. We had the bruschetta, the bikini, the fifty shades of bacon, the cultura ceasar salad, and the Korean BBQ short ribs. The ceasar came under a smoke dome, which was really fun to receive, and the bacon and bread were delicious. Our favorite dish was the Korean BBQ short ribs with kimchi. The flavor was perfect, and the meat was very tender. We had the raspberry chocolate sorbet and a creme brulee for dessert. They were both delightful but very hard to choose because their dessert menu had lots of great choices! Our server, Bronwyn, was friendly and provided excellent service. We will be back!

The wine selection is stellar. The Caesar salad is up there in the top three I ve ever had in my life. The waygu special was to die for. This was the second time I ve had the beef short ribs and they were unparallelled by any I ve ever had. My sister had The halibut special. It was delicious as well. Everything was perfect.

Our daughter got married, and Churchhill hosted the dinner and dance upstairs. Food was fabulous. Service was excellent would highly recommend.

My partner and I treated ourselves to probably the best food & drinks we ve ever had in our life. We ordered the daily specials. Yes, it s pricey, but for a good reason. The experience was phenomenal and everything tasted like gold. Our server, Bronwyn, (I can t recall how it s spelt I m sorry if I butchered that), was super helpful and super friendly. Amazing food, fantastic service, always a great meal!

My first time at Churchills I understand and have been to my share of finer dining restaurants. Upon arrival at the restaurant. Was asked. If we would like to sit in the pub or the dining room. Not knowing that there was a difference in menus. Sat in the dining room. Menu pricing online does not match menu pricing within the restaurant. More expensive within. There were no daily specials to my knowledge. If there were, we were not told about them. It seemed that another table in the restaurant was offered. A hallibut special and a crab leg special. When I asked my server about the specials that I overheard. She informed me that it was the bosss wifes table. And They are offered different specials. Food. No daily specials Warm beer. To start it off. 5 scallops in sauce 28$$. For what it was a little too much $$ Main course adequate serving. Ordered the $ 40 $ pickerel dish. Fish was tasteless. Sides fresh. Service Non attentive. Appetizer dish sat empty on the table for too long. Waited at least 15 min after the meal was finished and taken away for the bill. And Waited again for debit machine. Couldve been more attentive.. Seemed to be more attentive to bosses wife table. Which left us waiting. Was not a good first experience. Amposphere Its very dark in parts of the restaurant. Salt shaker was dirty and greasy. I wish our first experience was better. Maybe next time.

Well haven t been since pre - COVID, but in the past has been a business trip stop off back from Northern(er) Ontario. But not this time. :) Staff are excellent and atmosphere, well, for a Saturday just sort of blah. Bronwyn s the hardest worker behind the bar. Jimmy on holiday in Egypt shows. For the first time ever food was less than ordinary. I had 14 ounce prime rib, the cut was so skewed I had to fight with it to cut without splashing the au jus about the room. Comforting that the spinalis was three inches tapering to one inch at the eye. Didn t notice at first because the potatoes were underneath. Seasoning-free and flavourless. Vegetables, a few beans, flavourless. At 65 bucks, the prices are under control compared to major cities, but an inferior experience. Yorkshire. Wine selection. Mondavi and Sterling cabs almost the same, Sterling having a slight edge to sweetness at the tip of the tongue. For the 4 bucks a glass difference, I prefer Mondavi and am amazed the prices have held static for half a decade. I d give it another try next up.

Great location for a meal

Churchill s catered our wedding and we have eaten in the restaurant several times. Both are impeccable and well priced for the high quality of the food. We needed to do a buffet style wedding catering due to the local of our wedding and not a single amount of quality, freshness, or flavour was compromised. The Chefs specials and Gnocchi were to die for. The food as a whole was immaculate. Our guests could not stop (and still haven t) raving about the quality of the food in general, much less as a buffet. Every single one of our guests loved their meal. We also had a guest with food restrictions and the team coordinated to make a specific meal just for them. The guest loved their meal and felt very respected and cared for. Leslie was great and very helpful with vendor advice. The catering staff were great and respectful! I would highly recommend Churchill s to any of our friends or family!

Toronto prices but excellent prime rib, service, and unique ambiance!

There was a sticker on our tomatoes, the server brought the dirty knife and she realized there was a little meat on the knife, The food portion was small and the taste wasnt good as well, and the price for this experience was ridiculously expensive.

Churchill s would be an institution in a city of any size and North Bay is blessed to be its home. World class fine dining in a timeless steakhouse aesthetic, you can do no better for a special occasion or just well deserved break from the everyday. Too many trademark dishes to mention in one review, take the time to visit and try one for yourself.

We ordered take out but arrived a little early so waited at the bar. Atmosphere was really nice and the staff were very friendly and courteous. Food was delicious. Next time we re in town we re definitely going to try to come back for a dine-in meal!

The Chef s culinary team and Beverage support s Master-Mixers at Churchill s, were spot on with our individual requests. The entire experience, from our Greeter to our Server, was warm, relaxing and enjoyable; in a word: memorable . We all sipped and tasted until it was time to say our good-nights Thank you to the Service Staff, the Chef s Kitchen, and the attentive Support Staff

Steak was overcooked, friendly staff at the bar but in dining room lacking of attention to basic needs pouring wine, water.

Courteous and professional was our treatment! The waiter made us feel at home! Incredible character and atmosphere! The meals... What can I say! Refined dishes sought after, the dosage is there! Certainly above average price but a meal that you will remember, which is well worth it!

Did a takeout yesterday. Prime rib. Nothing to write home about (looses one star). I d say 6 out of 10 in quality. Something about that meat, too tough for prime rib. Actually noting in that dish was worth writing home about. Expensive as hell, as if it s CN Tower revolving restaurant. By the way, CN Tower restaurant prime rib rules, 10 out of 10. The restaurant seems to have a very nice atmosphere. I wish it were better. Maybe other dishes are better. I don t know, probably won t know.

The appetizers were delicious, and entrees were prepared as requested. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. Great fine dining experience.

A week before our 57th wedding anniversary I made a reservation for June 12th when we arrived there there was nobody at the front door but a young lady came from the back of the restaurant asked if we had a reservation I said yes for 7 she said that we couldnt sit next to the window side because it was full I said for the past several years weve come here and always had the windows side on our anniversary did you specify window side in your reservation I said no she Shrugged and said would you mind a booth we said no she took us down to the end of the restaurant put it in a booth which I couldnt get my stomach in past the table I said Im not going to sit here so she took us up to the front of the shop sat at a table with a half booth my wife sat on the bench outside I sat on a chair read the menu decided what we were going to have waited another good five minutes before anybody came to take our order for drinks finally I ordered a martini and ask you have three olives my wife ordered Caesars waitr left where did a few minutes comes back ask do I want a dirty martini or straight up ask my wife if she wanted a spicy drink or regular she says a little spicy the drinks come her glass was not rimmed with the normal spices none at all she was surprised and told the waiter so he took the drink back had it done over to my wife specifics finally we ordered our food both of us asked for prime rib beef medium rare it was served with Yorkshire pudding vegetables and look very appetizing problem was with steak knife my wife couldnt cut hers mine was difficult to cut so sent it back waiter comes back said it must have been that part of the roast theyve got two new slices mine was now cooked about medium my wife looked Raw still very difficult for her to cut finally we both sent our meals back I have travelled all over United States Coast to Coast in Canada five times I never had to send a meal back I felt sorry for our waiter who was going out of his way to please us the the cost of the roast beef what is $48 for an 8oz piece my wife chose to have a shrimp cocktail five shrimps medium size not the jumbo $24 all in all the bill ended up $138 because hope the food problem they took 25% off of the original bill which was very generous of them to do so but didnt help our appetites our waiter as I said was above and beyond and did everything to please us what we didnt know was that the original owner of the restaurant is in negotiations to sell it they have a new chef and I didnt find things and sneer fulfilling as that times we had been there before unfortunately I do not have a good opinion of Churchill anymore hope this rent isnt too long for you

What a wonderful meal we had on fathers day. Yes, its pricey but worth every penny for a treat. Best shrimp cocktail Ive ever had. Huge shrimp. The short ribs were fantastic. Large portions. Great service and cocktails.

Incredible old-school prime rib and steakhouse restaurant. Great menu updated with a touch of fusion! Amazing drinks, excellent wine list! The staff are extremely accommodating and attentive. And apparently, the tapas in the pub are amazing...AND Bham Ramen take-out is available here too! Who knew!!! You SHOULD WANT TO GO!! NOW!!

Churchill s has to be the best wedding venue in North Bay! Leslie was a dream to work with and took away the stress of planning our big day. The food was delicious and the atmosphere wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful throughout the evening and made sure that everyone had an amazing time. We got so many compliments on our wedding reception and we owe it all to Churchill s!

Food was horribly under cooked. Service was very judgmental. Me and my family all got food poisoning within the next thirty minutes of digesting the food. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!

Exceptional experience. Service from Autumn was outstanding. We shared the Village Greek Salad to start. I had the Chicken and my husband had the Salmon. We shared the Creme Brulee for dessert. All the food was amazing. Please add this lovely place to your must try restaurants.

We used Churchills as a wedding venue earlier this month. They did an excellent job, the food and service was phenomenal. We will certainly be returning for dinners and celebrations in the future.

Exquisite prime rib perfectly prepared. The appetizers were delicious and served with charm and humour. Since it was an anniversary, we also received a glass of free Prosecco. Fabulous!

Parking: Had to Park far. Food

Only went for a drink. Server was wonderful, drink was good. There was an event happening upstairs and it honestly sounded like the ceiling might collapse at times Only complaint would be that you have to walk through groups of drunk people smoking in the doorway. They dont move to let you in or out. Ill go back and try the food sometime.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was amazing. It was my first time there. No complaints.

Got to town late and walked in randomly just an hour before closing. We were welcomed in by Tory our server. The service, the food and its presentation were above and beyond. A fury of senses I must say. A rare find. A must have experience if you are visiting North Bay.

Great dining experience!! Had the oysters and the shrimp cocktail for desert and loved them!! The Korean duck for desert was okay. For mains we had the striploin, which was nice but certainly had better. The side of baked potato was somewhat dry. The ribs were exquisite, they were so delicious and tender, would definitely have them again. Creme brûlée fur desert can t go wrong.

Main course pretty good, although slightly over priced by GTA standard. Salad absolutely atrocious. Charged double digit price for a Caesar salad thats basically half a head of romaine lettuce UNCHOPPED, olive oil (no other seasoning), and one eighth of a slice of white bread (the croutons). Strangely reminiscent of Gordon Ramsays kitchen nightmare episode. Not sure if a waiter made it.

My husband and I celebrated our 44th anniversary at Churchills. What can I say from the delicious homemade breadTo the dill pickles and tasty spreads the warm.cozy decor...yes flowers on the tables a plus. The prime rib was mouthwatering and the veggies were perfectly cooked and very plentiful.new potatoes perfection We will return for sure and recommend it.The house special take on Cesar salad was heavenly and a meal itself.Excellent friendly attentive wait staff.Bravo North Bay you have a winner.

The prime rib was cooked to perfection and the summer vegetables were good as well, the potatoes were very bland and the Yorkshire pudding wasnt very good, a bit pricey to pay for only half your meal to really be good, the service was excellent though.

Meal, employees are all best. They even have a little space upstairs, good for little wedding or parties. Love that place.

Terrible experience. All 4 of our wine selections were out of stock...the wine list proved almost useless. Then the wine they picked we were over charged us on the bill...and took forever to bring. The steaks were tough and the plates cold. All the dinners were over cooked. One dinner was wrong and the waitress, who was pleasant, offered to comp the dinner by saying they couldnt cut another steak (LOL). Then the bill only took off half of the value and kept on the mushrooms! My mashed potatoes were lumpy. Trying to over charge us for bad cold overcooked food instead of apologizing is not the way to run a business, especially considering the prices are expensive, particularly for North Bay. I would rate less than 1 star if possible. AVOID.

We love going to Churchills Prime Rib House. I had the Prime Rib and it was delicious. We had a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. I would highly recommend trying Churchills Prime Rib House.

Two hours after ordering our prime rib dinner it comes to the table cold. Vegetables were not cooked and only offered a dessert or part of the bill compt. Definitely not worth a star even. Dont waste your time or money at this restaurant.

Great tapas menu

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The service is beyond amazing and the food is beyond words. We ve been here dozens of times and I am always blown away.

Five days before our event the manager called and stated we could no longer have the room we wanted and tried to shove the party into a little room in the front. Very disappointing. Lucky for us the fantastic people at Cecils restaurant pulled through and helped us out.

I had eaten here twice in the past and had exceptional experiences, however my last experience was very disappointing and a bit creepy. Our server was excellent. I made our reservation weeks in advance and the 4 of us were very much looking forward to a very nice meal to celebrate the marriage of my partners sister to her fiancée. To start we tried to order champagne. Real champagne from France, not a sparkling wine. They had just recently sold their last bottle of our first choice a few days earlier. When we tried to order the second choice we received the same answer. Our choices were then limited to Dom, at $350.00 per bottle or a sparkling wine. At this point I asked, only half jokingly, if the liquor store was still open. This was very disappointing, as one of the things they promote is their large wine selection that is updated weekly. The appetizers were very good. For a main course my partner and ordered rack of lamb. To my amazement we were only served 3 ribs each! Must have been a hell of a lamb! I have ordered this item in restaurants all across the country and other parts of the world, but never was served only three ribs. The ribs were good such as they were, however the vegetables looked like table scraps withsome over cooked, some under cooked and some properly cooked. My partner does not eat very much as a rule, but after bread, appetizer and main course he left hungry as did the rest of us....... then to top the evening off my partners sister forgot her mask and when she returned to retrieve it she was stopped in the narrow passageway by an older man who she took to be the owner and he started coming on to her. He asked her where she was from and what her name was among other things and as she was going out the door he said call me some time. She told us this after rejoining us in the parking lot. She said that she and a girlfriend of hers had stopped there once before for drinks and the same old guy invited himself to sit with them for a similar experience. Suffice to say none of us will be back, but if you intend to eat at this establishment I suggest you eat a lunch before you go, bring your own champagne and accompany any good looking young women in your party as you pass by the old letcher at the gate.

Superb service, fabulous food.The gnocchi is to die for, best I ever had in ontario, highly recommending this dish but not the short rib which I had that i found it to be too dry. Their prime rib so soft and tender you dont need a steak knife.

For $ 179.00 for 2 I feel ripped off . Service was good , atmosphere was pleasant . Sunday dinner and we were the only ones there . Food was not very good . Risotto was very runny ( watery) prime rib was tough and over cooked . Tasted like it was precooked, frozen and reheated my mashed potatoes were served drenched in butter . Not happy with that over priced cut of beef nor with any of it . I didnt finish it and was not offered a carryout option .. I wont be going back !

I have eaten at a lot of higher end restaurants in the past. The service here was fine but the food was mediocre at best tried the rib eye steak and prime rib prime rib was a little over cooked and kinda bland. The steak was better I don t think for the price it was worth it It s hard to beat the keg chain of restaurants

We had our wedding at Churchills and we couldnt have been happier with our experience! Lesley was amazing and made the planning process so easy. On the day of, she was with us every step of the way from queing us to walk in during the ceremony to changing over the room. All the staff were so amazing and accommodating and made the whole experience stress free and seamless allowing us to take in the moment and enjoy our day. The food was amazing and we were told by many it was one of the best weddings they had been to! We have zero regrets choosing Churchills for our wedding ceremony and reception and would recommend them to anyone looking for a place that will give you that special moment to remember forever.

Ordered the Gnocchi apetizer as a meal for $36.00 totally dissatisfied. Gnocchi was more like a dumpling, sauce was good when mixed with the spinach. Overpriced for what was served. Our server was pleasant and ensured that our drinks were topped up. Would not recommend.

I ll start by saying that the service was excellent. The food however was not. The prime rib was chewy where it shouldn t have been, and flavour was average, the Yorkshire pudding was the best item on the plate. We also ordered the fries . They sounded good on the menu, turned out to be essentially a box of McDonald s fries with some cheese sprinkled over them and a couple of sides of dip for $9. The atmosphere is nice, but the food is well below average for the price point. If there where a Keg steakhouse in North Bay, Churchills would be out of business.

Attentive service and a British ambiance help make Churchills a very good choice for a pleasant, definitely above average dining experience. The menu is varied, and you can eat in the pub or enjoy fine dining in a more formal setting. The salads are really fresh and tasty. The prime rib (the signature Churchills dish) is excellent. We also tried the tiger prawn pasta; there was no skimping on the perfectly prepared prawns .

Overrated. Expensive. Food not that great. Small portions. Piano player didn t show up so there was no music at all. It s just missing something there, also the Wedding planner is rude and bossy.
