I rate overall at 3.5. This was my first time trying this place out and I'd say they're OK, not bad. They're a few more dollars per dish than other similar restarauts, but I did receive a 10% off discount for picking up myself. I'm from America so I'm used to delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine. This place tastes alright. It isn't terrible but a little lacking with ingredients. For example, in America, every Chinese restaraut has large chunks of meat, scrambled eggs, white onions, carrots, peas, and green onions loaded into their fried rice dishes. Loi's had mostly seasoned rice, very small pieces of cut up meat, and scarce amounts of green onion, white onion, and celery (I've never seen celery in fried rice before). The chicken balls were really good and I enjoyed their lo mein. Their menu had a variety of dishes to choose from and food was ready within 30 minutes of placing order (was told it would take 10 minutes, but i didn't mind waiting). Hot and fresh tasting, decent portions. I asked for an ingredient to be omitted and it was still present in the dish, but was still tasty to eat. I don't think I'll be I'll be ordering again. Not because they were bad; they were not bad at all. They were pretty ok. There just wasn't anything about my order that stood out to me enough to want to go back again. Overall, okay experience and good food. Average rating and I'm okay with my purchase.
The food here is just ok, not a standout. The chicken balls had more breading than chicken and were tasteless. Food prep was fast.
Food isn't what l asked about? It was much more spicy and the person in store was Arrogant and Rude. Too much MSG in food left my feeling very achy for 2 days and my feet swelled from too much salt. Never offered to help me carry out the two containers of food l purchased and l've a Bad Rt arm. Those 2 doors are heavy. The sitting place for waiting for food was very cold. Food wasn't at all as good as lve had b4. Very disappointing! Never going back!! Extremely disappointed in this place of Business! Only good item was a Spring Roll.
I have eaten in the restaurant before and the food was very good. I ordered delivery for the first time today. It arrived in only a half hour and tasted great. My issue is they poured the lemon sauce all over the breaded chicken! It was already getting soggy when it arrived and by the time I was done eating the breading was mush. I could not keep the remaining 3/4 of a dish for tomorrow.
Update (May 14): Spoke with Loi's today and they understood my frustration on Mother's Day. It was a very busy day and mistakes do happen. As the food was very good, we look forward to a 2nd visit to Loi's. Attention to customer satisfaction goes a long way. Food was very good and arrived hot. It was Mother's Day and while I appreciate they were busy, the food initially arrived 1/2 hr late despite having ordered it on Friday for Sunday delivery. Upon opening the bags, we were missing 1 mushroom fried rice, 1 chicken fried rice and beef & broccoli. In the bag, there were 4 fortune cookies for a $161 order. A lot of food for 4 people! I called the restaurant to report the 3 missing dishes and by the time it was prepared and delivered everyone had eaten what we did have and the rest had to split up to be taken home. Upon delivery, i was told that to use credit card, there was a $3 surcharge for every $50. I wish i was made aware of that when i placed the order. Loi's came highly recommended and while the food was good, it ruined Mother's Day dinner as far as sitting down together and enjoying all the dishes. Most disappointing.
I come to this restaurant every time I'm in North Bay. Their sweet and sour sauce is excellent - one of the best that I've ever had! Not sure how they do it, but their food stays fresh and hot for quite a long time. The fried foods like chicken balls or sweet and sour pork remain crispy. Their service is very fast. Every time that I've ordered takeout at the restaurant, I only have to wait 5 to 10 minutes or so. Too bad they are not open during lunch hours.
The food was excellent. I had the Super Combo plus a hot and sour soup. The S&S chicken balls and shrimp were delicious and the chicken chop suey was fresh and hot. The restaurant is very clean and the staff were professional and quick. I will definitely eat there my next trip to North Bay.
One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever had. I had no idea this was a Chinese spot having driven by it for many years. Great General Tso and fried rice.

I was just going to eat the first time there and when I arrived it says no eat in, just take out. So update your friggen page, here on google maps. Drove for nothing 30km.

I ordered takeout for the first time here last night and the food was excellent! I had my 3 month old with me and the gentleman working was kind enough to carry my food out to my vehicle for me. I will definitely be returning:)

They say the most important thing for any restaurant is consistency. Nowhere has this principal been better applied than at Lois. Every meal weve ever had here has been great, tasty and fresh. In North Bay Lois has a lot of competition and trust me, Ive tried them all and Lois is the only one I recommend for all the above reasons. Expansive menu including both house specialties and all the usual favorites. Try them, you wont be disappointed.

My familys #1 Chinese restaurant for picking up. Pre-covid they had a good buffet, and hopefully they will restart it some day soon. Their location is ideal for food pick-up and delivery people as it has easy hiway access, and multiple parking spots out front -- this may change when everything goes back to business as usual

Was a good deal. Plenty of food, the chicken balls were FULL of meat, chicken fried rice actually had chicken meat and green onions in it which you dont see anymore. Tons of food, we had the super combination and my husband ordered beef almond and veg instead of the shrimp, said it was very good. Priced reasonably.

We eat here at least once per month. If you like Chinese food, you really should try Lois Restaurant - especially the breaded shrimp. They are very proud of their food and rightly so. They cut no corners and this shows in the quality of the food. I would highly recommend it.

We ordered Dinner for 2 and i was happy NOT disappointed! Everything that should be crispy was, and everything that was not crispy was not! Lots of veggies in the Chop suey and lots of chicken in the fried rice. Nothing was greasy tasting and the staff on the phone was really friendly. We got delivery on Christmas Eve, and the food was at the door hen we requested it to be. Very impressed!
Stopped by on Boxing Day for the lunch buffet and everything was super hot and very tasty, my family really had a great time and the stuff was a delight.

Why the hot food is wonderful they really dont have much dessert to speak of. its wonderful to have an old-fashioned style buffet in town we were really missing this and it feels a nice hole food is good what more can I say on that the chicken wings are fantastic I mean I know you can get $12 all you can eat chicken wings chicken balls actually have meat in them the rice is wonderful yeah

Absolutely epic dining experience! Food was hot and fresh, the flavours are awesome and the service is top notch. I am severely intolerant to eggs, I get very sick to my stomach if I eat them, even if they are cooked in something else. The staff walked me through what items I could safely eat and even specifically made me chicken fried rice with no eggs. I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment. 5 stars all around.

We arrived at 1:00pm to empty trays at the buffet, they slowly refilled them one at a time over the course of 45 minutes putting fresh food on top of old dehydrated and stale food. The buffet itself is only 8 to 10 feet long with a very meager selection. The desert section consists of the fried egg roll batter with lemon sauce, as well as 6 tubs of ice cream that have been hollowed out to the bottom and the remaining ice cream covered frost. And thats it! At 1:50 PM the lights were shut off over the buffet and they removed all the food without asking if we were even finished. Overall there was nothing good about our experience at this restaurant, we tried it twice and both times it was gross.. we will never be back! Wish I could give it 0 stars...

The food was great as well as the price. Hard to find a buffet for Chinese food in North Bay that isnt bland. Service was friendly and great and enjoyed the meal. A bit warm climate but not unbearable. Maybe a second a.c would be a good investment. Not easy spot to find so hopefully people try to find it as they wont be disappointed.

We had a very large group that needed feeding in a short time and Lois was very accommodating. Our large family took half the restaurant but we never felt pushed to clear the space for new customers. The food was tasty and fresh. Highly recommend.

We had the buffet for dinner on a Saturday. They open the buffet at 4:00, and shortly after that, the place was nearly full. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The price was reasonable, and a very good value. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I will definitely come here again!

Buffet is good when you first eat it, but when you get home be prepared to sit on the the toilet lots. They use MSG in the buffet food, but not if you order right from the menu.

Excellent! The manager is extremely friendly and polite! The food is spectacularly fresh and delicious at the buffet. I really loved the two noodle dishes I tried! The vegetable dishes were vibrant and delightful. And a dinner buffet for under 16 dollars is honestly incredible around here. So not only is the price fair, but the food and service are great! Will definitely visit again in the near future!
