Its been a while since we traveled up north but we had to make the stop at Twiggs for coffee! Mmmm, so good!

Greatest vibes, service and good food

Seems like they are trying their best to make sure we dont want to come back: Our previous visit we tried a couple deserts and they were stale. One of them had a noticeable crust like it was days old. They also completely forgot about our order until 15 minutes have passed and we went to inquire and then they realized. During our visit today I ordered a coffee. The sign out front listed the price as $1 75. When I got to the cash they were asking $2.36 w tax. When I asked about the price discrepancy the manager told me they were waiting for a new sign but that was their price and if I didnt like it I could not take the coffee. Given the level of inflation I have no problem with them raising their price to be more in line with their competition. But the bait and switch thing is not right on principle to do that to your customers. When I suggest that wasnt right he was very rude and refused to honour their advertised price so I accepted that and chose not to take the coffee. Lets be clear a difference of 30 some odd cents is not a make or break scenario for me but as a matter of principle if they are advertising a price outside their store its unfair to then switch prices at the cash. What was most amazing about this interaction was the horrible attitude. he was very belligerent during the whole interaction like it was such as waste of his time and acted like expecting your coffee to cost what the big sign said it would is super unreasonable. In any case were done with Twiggs. The girl who originally took our order was friendly the whole interaction so kudos to her.

Love the coffee here, but the dark roast is not as good as Nabob, perhaps another place for a strong dark roast; if its your thing. Vegetarian options: Not enough of them, but theres no way they could afford to prepare them ahead of time.

Was very loud, but not the fault of twigs - ordered a specialty drink and they forgot the special part... However, upon arrival, our lady was manning the drive thru and counter simultaneously. The only reason I mentioned the mixed up order is because we had gone over it in so much detail, and then laughed because it was actually quite simple... So was surprised when the drink was all the way wrong lol, will still go to twigs every chance I get!

Drive thru was very quick. The coffee was hot and tastes even better!! Do yourself a favour and make the effort to find this store instead. A simple cup of coffee really can taste SOOOO GOOD!!!!

Out of the 12 empty tables on the one side, most were dirty and a number had dishes on it still. Gave my partner the wrong tea when he asked for plain Ceylon tea. Apparently they didn t have any and just gave him breakfast blend tea would have been nice to know that they alternate the two teabags. Between the dirty tables and lack of communication, I m happy to avoid this location moving forward. matcha white hot chocolate was good. In hind sight, this is why you should not tip before services are rendered. Lesson learned.

My favourite coffee shop. Great drinks, comfy environment, extremely friendly staff and delicious food. Their gluten-free options mean I can actually eat food here (tip: go for a pizza).

Always got to stop for a hot chocolate and breakfast. Crab salad was a little runny this time but still good.

I honestly love this twigs. The food is great, the coffee is amazing. The staff treats you so well and the whole vibe of the restaurant is amazing. The only thing Id say is its a little pricey. But other than that *chefs kiss*

Took a ice mocha and the fruit bowl with cottage cheese and beagle. Everything amazing, too much cottage cheese for me compared to fruit but still amazing.

Friendly service, nice atmosphere. Service was not as quick as it could have been, but overall enjoyable meal and coffee.

Even though they had an accident that messed up my pizza so it wasnt ready when I got there, they were very quick to apologize, offer to deliver it for me if I couldnt wait and when I said that I could, offered me a complimentary beverage while I waited on the new one. Accidents happen its all how you deal with them, and the second pizza was delicious and exactly what I wanted. Great staff, great food, great experience

Love Twiggs

Went inside as the drive thru was way too long and it was just as bad waiting to be served at the counter. Everyone behind the counter saw that there were people in line, but focused on the drive thru. Not worth the hype if that s how you re going to treat your customers. Too bad.

We had a rehearsal party for my daughters upcoming wedding at this location and was very impressed with everything we had ordered. Angel our server was attentive, accommodating and extremely pleasant. We had pizza, salad, desserts and drinks for 30 people and everything was excellent. Vegetarian options: The salad and vegetarian pizza were delicious Parking: Loads of parking spots Wheelchair accessibility: There s a ramp to enter into the building

If you like fluffy whipped cream on your mochas or that perfect consistency of hot chocolate (that s not too sweet or overpowering) then this is the place to be. Hands down you have to try the smoked salmon bagels.

Twigg has long been North Bays closest thing to a Toronto café. Lovely desserts, artisan sandwiches and pizzas, and a variety of coffee roasts and options, its a little bit like home.

I dont like finding produce labels on the vegetables cooked into my western. One star for the coffee as I dont eat food with labels left in. My sons wrap had a label on the fruit served on the side so this was not an isolated incident.

Came here for breakfast with my husband. After about 15 minutes his big breakfast came out, however I was still waiting for my blt. Another 8 minutes go by and my husband went to ask about my food (he doesnt like to eat without me) and the blonde woman advised she put a hold on my blt so our food would be served together. It was another 6 minutes before my blt was brought out. I do not believe she put a hold on my food but yet forgot about it as everyother time we come here for breakfast my blt comes before his food. The blt had 2 small burnt peices of bacon. I did not eat it and requested my money back. My husband barely ate his food as he was waiting so we could eat togther so his was cold by the time he started eating it. Serve has definitely gone down hill.

More than just fresh roasted coffee. Service is always fast and friendly with breakfast, lunch, and an excellent assortment of snacks. Great place to meet clients, network partners, friends, and family.

The food just isnt very good. Bland. Nothing special at all. The place is nice and the staff is really friendly though. Parking: Theyre isnt a huge amount of parking and or can get busy at lunch.

Took them over 15 minutes to make a pumpkin spice coffee for my wife. Cost $7.00 and it was warm at best and it tasted just like a coffee with cream. NEVER going back

I LOVE this chain of coffee houses in North Bay and Sudbury. The atmosphere is homey, coffee is great and food delicious. I like the products they sell, like the syrups and specialty liquors. Great gluten free options. I will always choose a Twiggs over the mega chain coffee places.

Purchased a Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich and a piece of ginger loaf, and I think they have a storage issue since both were so dry and sandy textured they were unpalatable. Coffee was good.

Coffee is good. Same price as Starbucks. Service was terribly slow to make 2 coffees. Took about 25 minutes to get ours.

Absolutely LOVE their Montreal Smoke Meat sandwiches with their special mustard! A must-try.

Cannot find the option to review for campus location, so my review for the 100 College Drive Twiggs is as follows: Food is always good - however, there is ZERO hand washing at the university/campus location. I watched a staff member who was building salads and sandwiches use their unwashed hands to tear apart crab for a salad, proceed to wipe their hands on their clothes, touch everything else around them (like knobs, tools, handles, etc) and then get on with the next order. This is unsanitary even if we werent in a pandemic. People may also have allergies to fish and they may now be exposed to that through cross-contamination. Please fix this. This is unfortunately the only food service offered on either campus during the summer semester.

Not what we expected, or maybe our expectations were too high. As local business championers wherever we live, Canada or the US we like to source out locally owned and run businesses. While doing business in North Bay May 5, 2022, we asked for a recommendation from our insurance representative. He recommended Twiggs. We decided to try it... Like I said, maybe our expectations were to high. Upon entry we established a familiarity the restaurant was reminiscent of Williams Fresh. The cafeteria style ordering process, the display cases filled with tempting baked goods. We were impressed, and thought this is going to be THE PLACE to get a good home-baked bread deli sandwich ... Hopeful, we order the Montreal smoked meat sandwich on toasted rye bread, a lemon-lemonade, and a peach iced tea. Other items include a bag of Twiggs roasted coffee, two bags of Miss Vickies sea salt and malt vinegar chips, and chocolate covered coffee beans. The associates working were nice, not forthcoming but assumptive in nature indicative of new or post-covid public reopening (in our opinion, as we have experienced) we can empathize. However, when our order arrived, a sad grocery store rye sandwich style bread (think Wonder bread loaf) barely toasted, with what seemed to be grocery store pre-packaged uniformed sliced Montreal smoked meat with the saddest deli-pickle (half a deli pickle to be exact). The peach iced tea was good, the lemon-lemonade was lacking in actual lemon flavour and was warm at the bottom of the cup and cold on top where the ice lingered, a giant a half lemon hindered comfortable drinking from the straw a slice or wedge would have sufficed. The chips were stale, period. The coffee, excellent! I brewed a French pressed pot this morning and the Yirgacheffe (dark roast) did not disappoint! While grinding the bean (burr grinder) the aromatics filling the kitchen with the sent of chocolate, home-baked croissants and happiness basically a pain au chocolat, divine! Smooth, delicious with chocolate and tobacco notes a hardy and satisfying dark roast! So, in summary, we may not go back for lunch. It was disappointing that the bread wasnt a real dark rye bread, and the sandwich presentation was not that of a deli-style, more grocery store style. However, I will purchase my morning beans here when I am in North Bay... and I will get myself a coffee while there. Not all was a lose. Note: the sandwich portion was more than adequate, as was the drink size.

Not outstanding 2.5. I had a breakfast sandwich with slightly burnt toast. Service is friendly enough. However, we got all our food at our table but we had to ask where are our coffees we ordered to the servers surprise. By this time we had already waited about 15 mins for the food to arrive. I normally do like their pizza. Cheesecake is also good but only when fresh. For a coffee place, I do not like their coffee even though its supposed to be their thing. Some of other reviews Id agree tastes watered down. Ive tried it several times already at two NB locations and Sturgeon Falls. I normally wouldnt come except my gf keeps insisting on this place.

Great atmosphere and awesome food!

First time at this place was for breakfast. It was amazing, and the house blend coffee was perfect. I was very impressed and will be eating breakfast there whenever I get a chance. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is for lunch. I had a turkey sandwich and it was just very basic, like something Id throw together at home especially for the price. Not impressed. But luckily they do a great breakfast and have wonderful coffee.

Got a smoked salmon on bagel and drink. The sandwich was disgusting. Bagel not toasted and clearly frozen before, was hard like a rock and flavourless (almost like freezer burn), salmon had a bunch of spots, they put like 5 capers total. It was really unappetizing, smelled extremely fishy. Didn t eat it. Drink was okay. Very disappointed

We have never been to Twiggs and thought we would try the lunch. I got the yogurt strawberry banana smoothy and it was great 9/10! My boyfriend got the Cafe Mocha and said it was good 7/10. We shared the Canadian Pizza it was average, it was floppy and greasy kinda taste like it was frozen prior 5/10. We also got the nachos, which had very little toppings, burnt cheese and was missing the jalapeño, would not recommend it 2/10. Only thing saving this 3 star review is the drinks.

Absolutely loved this place. While staying in North Bay we went here 3 times and had the same friendly, delicious experience. I love the Chia Seed Berry protein shake. Its so good you wouldnt know its a protein shake! Their baked goods are also very good. We tried a gluten free tart, blonde bar, and a muffin. All very good. We also had a cheese pizza and it was delicious and fresh! Saved as a must stop location in future trips out here !

best coffee in town

Ive been here a few times and I love their special occasion cookie boxes they sell. While in there picking a couple up recently for fathers day, I also noticed they sell Copperhead chocolate almond liqueur. Scooped up a jar of that too lol. For me now, not for fathers day. Service is awesome as well as excellent coffee. Cannot go wrong going here.

Best coffee house in North Bay.

As a hometown favourite of mine, I am always excited to visit Twiggs when I am back in the Bay. However, my past couple of visits over the last year have proven to be disappointing. The service is very slow despite it appearing that there are not many guests in the restaurant, the staff are always running around in a chaotic and disorganized manner (a staff member mopping the floor was the same person who made my drink - with no hand hygiene in between), and there are always one or two items in my order made incorrectly. I remember Twiggs had such attention to detail and it seems as if that has slipped!

Today i got a sandwich and it was SO burnt and rock hard. I dont know how they could give this to someone. There was hardly any crab on it as well. Pretty disappointed because this was my favorite location compared to the other one.

Overall a great experience. This Twiggs makes the best drinks out of any Twiggs I have been to. The girl who served me was extremely friendly and said that the food would be a bit of a wait, which was understandable because they were extremely busy, yet they still had my breakfast out in a very good amount of time. I love it here!! I will definitely be coming back :))

We went with our dogs and sat outside with our 2 dogs. It was a beautiful day. We had coffee and the staff offered water and treats for the fur babies. Cheesy, I know, Good coffee, very pleasant atmosphere, great staff. Thank you.

Went in on a Saturday and did not have a pleasant experience. Our order was wrong and took over 20 minutes to receive. The Bagel & Egg is delicious and a great bargain, the Breakfast wrap is the same size with a bit of fruit (there were old and wrinkly watermelon slices in my mix) and costs $6 more. Bagel and Eggs for the win. Would recommend this but you should probably get your coffee somewhere else. Seriously though, we love you but yaa really messed it up this morning #onelove #nohatejustlove
