JT Sushi Restaurant in North Bay

Food was good, they have a robot on wheels that delivers food to the table which is handy but our waiter still had to come to the table every so often, my friends Pepsi was like water so she returned it twice because theyre machine was messed up I guess, I forgot what I ordered and one of the male waiters brought me my sushi and said heres your Salmon Tiddies but it didnt look like Tiddies at all we had a good laugh anyways great good and atmosphere maybe some of the waiters need a bit more training on the type of food they are serving other than that its great! Also the music selection was kinda sus they were playing apple bottom jeans and similar songs rather than the typical Korean or Japanese background music haha

Service has declined, wrong food was brought to our table several times and food we ordered did not arrive. The food that did arrive was not good. Informed the staff at the front cash and they said sorry but they have new trainees. 85$ for 2 people and crap service is terrible. We will not be back.

Best sushi place in North Bay. Fantastic food always efficient. Favourite restaurant in town by far. Their sushi pizza is delicious americana item; highly recommend sakura roll, calamari tempura roll and Hot and Sour soup as great takeout items. We went to a sushi place down south expecting it to be better and were surprised to find that the quality of service and food was better at home. The artistry that goes into each dish is unparalleled, they have fantastic service and have made a beautiful environment for people in North Bay to enjoy sushi and fusion foods. The owners and staff are incredibly hard workers and worth every penny. Will eat here at every opportunity for years to come Vegetarian options: Sakura rolls AMAZING, hot and sour soup. They have veggie rolls - avocado, mango etc.

Will never go back. Did not appreciate having to put our own order into the tablet (without assistance from a human), also did not appreciate the robot food delivery, and the food was not at all good. Finally, the $4.00 surcharge for not finishing our meal was quite insulting.

Food wasnt good. Avocado and mangos were not ripe. Rice seemed old. Deep fried stuff was very very oily.

I recently dined at JT SUCHI restaurant and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The food was awful bland, overcooked, and lacking the authentic flavors I was expecting from a Japanese restaurant. The service was just okay, nothing special but nothing to complain about either. Overall, I wouldnt recommend this place if youre looking for quality Japanese cuisine.

We went there for lunch today to try this restaurant for the first (and last ) time, and were so disappointed. We usually go to Beyond Sushi, and will go across town and keep going there. The sushi rolls came out dry and warm, and the sesame chicken came out cold! The pepper beef and spicy beef should have been called vegetarian beef dishes (since you could hardly find the beef), and the shrimp fried rice was cold and had 2 of the smallest shrimp there are. The robot servers were consistently bringing food to tables that werent ordered. The calamari was burnt and greasy.....the only item that was okay were the chicken wings (that came out hot and crispy). My husband said that the mens washroom was hot and smelled strongly of urine.....definitely not worth the $50 for 2 people. Yesterday we thought that we would give this place another try after seeing cars there quite often.....unfortunately, it wasnt ANY better! The portions were ridiculously small (and I understand that it is all you can eat) and came on paper plates. Quite a few of the items seemed like they came from steam tables, and by the time that they got to our table were lukewarm at best. Our dirty dishes sat at the edge of our table for the majority of the meal, and it definitely wasnt worth the $26 per person for lunch! I wouldnt recommend this place, and have made my last trip there.

Bad experience. Didnt get half of my order, had to reorder then it came after everyone else was finished. Charged me all you can eat PLUS take home for the order that finally came late. Poor customer service and will not go back.

Anything Tempura was overcooked. Portion sizes have significantly decreased. Wait times are up, delivery automaton only paths to table edge. Useless if they sit your party of 2 at a table for 6 and you have to move to the other end to get your meal. Drinks, water and tea took over 45m to be served. Some items that were ordered never came. Waiters were asked for napkins, also never came. When trying to pay at the end of the night another server came and grabbed the debit terminal while I was at the cash waiting to pay and i had to wait.

5 stars across the board for this place! Best Maki Rolls Calamari is the best. Service is unbelievable. Truly Authentic experience!

They are when it comes to getting your take out on time. Im done waiting 15mins after when they said it would be ready. Just brutal.

Very pleasant experience, robot waiter was quick and the actual waiters were very prompt and polite when needed. Very pleasant, filling, and interesting foods for a very socially anxious couple! Will take pictures next time :)

We got the all you can eat offer. Ended up being about 80 bucks for two with a few cokes before tip. The options available were very vast, And they had the most adorable robot kitty waiter ! We will definitely visit again

First time there and did the all you can eat..would definitely go back !! It was Valentines Day so did have to wait for a table.. Very busy. Food was very good !! Food was delivered in good time by the robots. Service was good. If you need an actual server you do that with the ipod. Our server was there promptly. Atmosphere was general with an all you can eat restaurant. One thing I might suggest is you receive a print out of your order on your lit up tray with each robot delivery for you to see.

Asked where the sashimi was they said it was frozen that I had to wait 20 minutes. That was already at the 40 minute mark waiting and then when we bugged they finally brought it at 45 minutes. The sashimi wasnt frozen and we confronted them about it. They said it was busy thats why. If your gonna lie to your customers at least be smart. 1 hour to get your order is not acceptable. We will not be coming back.

The sushi is certainly good enough for AYCE - nicely prepared, plated beautifully. The other, non seafood dishes are apparently good and the hot and sour soup is excellent. I am not fond of the robo servers but I imagine some folk really love things like that. The restaurant could use updating, but its clean.

Poor quality food. Servers are doing their best and are friendly people but the kitchen just cant get then food out. Took over an hour to get our first round of food, and when it arrived it was all very poor quality. Miso soup was awful, anything fried all tasted the same. The rolls were all poor made and bland. Scallops were foul, and smelt very fishy. Better choices exist in town, we wont be back.

The restaurant needs a renovation and the food is not the best but the service was very good.

There isnt much variety in the area for sushi, at least compared to the Niagara Region, but I will go here if getting all you can eat. They have the best variety in town (as of the date of this review), decent service even on busy or understaffed evenings, however their parking lot leaves a bit to be desired. The front is tiny, and the back is unknown to many, but turning out onto the busy street when leaving makes things even worse. If looking at take out, you can find a few deals that , depending on your sushi preferences, may make it worthwhile to get every now and then. Also they do accept substitutions for their online ordering. For people like me who have an intolerance to avocado, this is a lifesaver to allow eating of many rolls that I enjoyed at other places which used cucumber in place of avocado. All in all, worth the time and money, and a good place to bring friends and family who are new to sushi. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available, though some rolls might be more difficult to find a vegetarian alternative without asking a server directly Parking: Front area is tiny, back is decent size but half unpaved

My favorite restaurant in north bay! I go every time Im in town because its always so much fun!

It s sad when the robot servers are doing a better job than the employees. I had to explain to different tables how the robot servers work because there is zero instructions and people were trying to take all the food off of the robot. Besides that, half of the food we ordered never even got to us. Out of an order of 3 items, 1 item came to us. All I m saying is if McDonald s has a better chance of getting all my food to me, there s something wrong. Every single time I go to this place there s just something wrong and half our food never gets to us, there are better options in North Bay for sushi.

The food was okay but definitely not worth the price. The sushi was in line with loblaws sushi, the food took a long time to get to our table, along with us not getting some stuff and being passed along other peoples food, and it took a long time to get our waters refilled.

This is a good place to go for a night out with friends, or to treat yourself. The food is always good; I recommend the tiger rolls. My only complaint is that theres one server here that always seems to be inconvenienced by customers; I find her poor attitude to be quite unprofessional.

Food was okay. Our first order took roughly 20 mins for half of it to come out. After waiting 55 mins the rest of it never came so we ordered more. The staff didnt really seem to want to talk to us. It is pricy of 35 a person for dinner during the week. Will most likely come back but weird that no one checked on the food we waited for.

Its really gone downhill since covid.. they started using paper plates with some of their dishes with all you can eat dining. Smaller portions while also the decrease of quality and care there once was. Its really sad to see a gem turn to coal. I hope they improve in the coming years because its no longer my go too.

The spicy crab pizza was so delicious and I appreciate that they had very large cups for drinks!

Really great food and reasonable prices. The kids loved getting the food delivered by the robot cat, and it even sang Happy Birthday to my daughter and brought her a slice of cake. We made the rookie mistake of ordering WAY too much food, and they do charge extra if you decide to take it to go. Just a heads up - Id suggest ordering a little at a time so you dont make the same mistake! They were honest about it though, and I understand why they have that policy. Still a great experience, will go again!

The restaurant is filthy, or at least it gives off the floors never get cleaned vibe. The service is pretty hands off since they have robotic servers to serve food. Its ok. I like the other sushi restaurant in North Bay way better (Beyond Sushi). Food is great and staff are friendlier.

Service was interesting, food was good as usual, kitty robots to serve your food was new. We almost made off with someone elses food as we had not been told how it works. Once getting the hang of Kittybot it was an enjoyable lunch. Kid-friendliness: First time I had been there with my grandson and was delighted to see they had a clipon gadget to assist children to learn to use chopsticks.

I really really like this place. The food is amazing, the ordering tablet thingy is clear and easy to use, and the delivery robots are super cute. Never had a bad experience coming here! It doesnt look that nice on the inside, and things seem to follow the same routine, closed off bottom section and higher prices. However, with the cute robots and depending on the day amazing food. Its not a bad place for sushi in a city like North Bay. Overall, Ive had a couple poor experiences, on the whole though, Ive been happy with the food. Especially when the beef sashimi is cooked perfectly.

Amazing place

Such a fun experience. Trying everything is the name of the game. The cucumber roll was super fresh and a little crunchy. The meats were cooked well and had a great flavor. The staff are friendly and hard working, not to mention the robo waiter, it works hardest of all. Bring the kids, bring a friend, you wont be disappointed.

Solid AYCE sushi, tempura and more. Pleasantly surprised on our stop in North Bay and the service was also excellent!

I went out to eat with my mom and I started great until my mom and I ordered the crab salad when we got it and started to eat my mom found a piece of plastic in her salad. When we told one of the staff they didn t do anything not even an apology just a do you want a new one. After this the service got super slowThen at the end of my meal I asked for some more water and it didn t arrive so we went to pay the bill and they didn t compensate anything from are bill from the plastic In my mothers food extremely disappointed and we will not be returning

Slowest service ever. You need to hire food runners and have servers do quality control checks on the tables dining in, instead of standing around. The robots are unreliable and slow and should be used to assist the servers not be the only server. Food arrives cold or doesn t arrive at all. No one checks on you, ordered curry chicken rice twice and it finally arrived an hour and a half later after I asked a few times. Miso soup was so bland. Sushi is downgraded. California roll came with no fish eggs on it. When I had to bring it to the kitchen and ask for it to be fixed the owner walked by and ignored what was happening. What happened to the quality and consistency? Also missing so many rolls like the Eel roll and spider roll. I d drive 1.5 hours just to come back to what I thought was the best sushi place over the years but I won t be returning. Even the ice cream took 20 minutes and we ordered 3 flavours and they put two in a bowl together when it was 3 people eating and gave us 2 spoons. Specializes in fried food and mediocrity served up on a paper plate. $120 for 3 adults and only had water. Really sad.

Ordered an unagi don (eel rice bowl) that costs 17 bucks. They served me a rice on a plate (not a bowl) with razor-thin eel covered on top, splashed with walmart-quality teriyaki sauce. No-vegetable included. It comes with an miso soup that has no flavor. Feels like a total scam. Hugely dissapointed. Avoid at all cost.

We always come here for sushi and the food has always been the same but the prices went up so much. It cost $108 for myself my sister and my 9 year old child for dinner. We didn t even have anything to drink but water. I was shocked.

My family loves this place! The food is great, a robot brings a lot of the dishes to you and it is relatively fast.

The food was really good, we did the all you can eat, but the servers, every single one, came to our table one after another asking if we needed our drinks refilled. I suppose that s good service but it got annoying very fast. I ve never had someone ask me if I needed more water so many times. Aside from that we also didn t receive part of our order. We asked about it and they said they d send it over. It did get sent over, but not to us, to the table next to us(also at least 30 minutes later). They flagged someone down and said they didn t order that, and we said we did and the server just passed it from their table to ours. We ate it regardless, but I think that s a little bit unprofessional. It was busy however, so I do understand, just a little bit frustrating. Otherwise, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was good, just poor service. Also, it was very expensive for the service!! Parking: Big parking lot behind building!

No tuna sushimi or sushi ! That was a bit of a disappointment ! At least some red tuna ! But over all good service and food was good

Yum! So reasonable! Thai menu included! Clean inside with good atmosphere! Friendly staff! Large parking lot! Clean washrooms! Sometimes they dont have the ingredients for certain menu items (usually the sashami) but they dont mark which ones so you wont know until you dont get it. I recommend dragon rolls, mango rolls, Thai beef, various sashami and tzaos chicken. Lunch is cheaper because they dont offer same variety.

Every order placed we had to chase down staff to get food that was not sent out. Their excuse was someone took it. Still only got half our orders, rolls were dry, wonton dry and hard, food was cold. Save your money and go to a real sushi resturant.

If I could have left 0 I would have. Food SLOW. 45 min and table beside sits down and gets their orders. Staff say some one must have taken your order off robot. Well it would show up empty then, which didnt happen. Ginger was 3 SMALL sliced in a to-go pack. Rice was chewy and slices of sashimi was paper thin. SERIOUSLY, robots are cute but waste of time when they dont even send it. iPad ordering works when they cook the food which OBVIOUSLY didnt happen. Went to counter 3 times after ordering and waiting 15 min with nothing. Was very polite and food then arrived, mostly cold and dry..... rolls were merely OK. Better sushi at Indipendant Grocer and a hell of a lot faster. I could have gone fishing and caught the fish faster. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. Seriously OVERPRICED for service, quality and customer care..... too many excuses! Wont be returning.... sorry JT Sushi. Maybe do better.

Food is great. Service is good .... For a while. Order everything you want to eat at once for all you can eat, if you dont... They just stop coming and wait till you leave. They hope that you try to order over time so they can cut you off, but order everything in your first order they have to send it out to you.

Not to mention some of the items arrived cold (when they did drive) 1st order. At 645 Edimie, beef veg, dumplings. Green salad, chicken teriyaki, beef broccoli. Dumplings After an hour only salad came. Reordered. Same. Plus other things Some of 1st order arrived 20 min later, and was cold, Second order arrived partly. Between 8 and 830 Paid bill at 845 and part of second order arrived after the bill Would guess 7 out of 20 items didnt arrive. 3 were cold. And 2 came as we were Leaving

Took over an hour to get our complete order (edamame and chicken fried rice) and it arrived at our table cold. When we talked to a server about missing part of our order we were told that a lot of to-go orders were coming in so that s why it was taking longer Tables that were seated after us, got their edamame and fried rice before us We waited over 90 minutes to get our lomein and steamed vegetables- only after asked 2 more times, it came and not surprised it was cold. When we brought it up to the servers we were just brushed off

If there was a zero star, I would put it. I m not the type of person to leave bad reviews on Google . But my goodness the food was just awful. We ordered off the lunch menu which came out significantly slower than the all you can eat menu. Salmon was definitely frozen, chewy, bland and overdone. Nothing tasted seasoned and everything tasted old, especially the soup which immediately made me feel sick. Instant regret. Miso soup is my favourite soup ever, and this was watery, grainy and there was no little tofu cubes. Felt like it was from the bottom of the pot and somehow cold, as we were there as soon as they opened. Lots of people were left waiting outside for them to unlock the door past opening time. Long wait time. Heard other people complaining at their tables. Also everyone seems clueless and when we tried to tell them that their food was not up to standard, they argued with us! Payed half the bill and walked out. :(

Just ordered for delivery. Part of the order was Yaki Tori. Very disappointing...super tough. Couldnt even eat it. Too well done and hard to chew.

Today 01/09/22 was the first horrible experience Ive had at JT Sushi. I have been going to have lunch and dinner with my wife here for 8 years. Problem one: We were sitting and waiting for 15 or 20 minutes between each food delivery. Problem two: After about one hour we had received all our items save one. This is completely out of the ordinary for this place. Normally its fast service and good food. Problem three: After getting our last food on second order we do a third order. This is where the really bad experience starts. After waiting 43 minutes I lose patience and ask the waitress why our food has not come. She then starts arguing with in front of other customers and in front of my wife and daughter about them giving us the food and that I was making this all up. I then try and reason with this waitress by listening all the items we did receive and pointing out all the items that where not delivered. As well as letting her know the we did not receive any food for over 40 minutes by showing her the time stamps on the device. She then doubles down on her attitude and essentially calls me a liar in front of so many people. I then ask for the check and would not be paying full price for this service. She took off 15$ off and left me with 75$ bill. I was still so hungry after ALL YOU CAN EAT Sushi that I had to go to TimHortons and eat two wraps and call that dinner. I do not recommend this place anymore The service is bad. Sad to see this place drop off from its glory days.

Delicious food. Friendly staff. The new shelf robot servers are very slow and if someone doesn t know to only take their shelf contents, they can take yours as well and no one is the wiser, you ll just keep waiting for the menu item to be delivered.

We loved JT Sushi Restaurant! We order on a tablet and a robot serves us our meal. The kids were really fascinated by these. We had the buffet option, which allowed us to taste several choices on the menu. Everything was delicious!

Looooove the food! Service was automated but great either way. This is the place to go if you want good rolls, sashimi, sushi, all the works. And dairy queen is right next door if youre not a fan of the ice cream selections ;)

Dirty bathroom and dirty robots

All you can eat SCAM, they fraud you by not sending the food you order and make you wait as long as possible. Seriously raise the price, upgrade the quality and increase the speed. Waiting so long for that low quality is not worth it. Ill go to beyond sushi next time (was a great experience) your robot should have more than one song

This place was great! Love the design of the place, all the options for all you can eat! Much more impressed with it than when we tried the other sushi place in North Bay. Will definitely be coming back!

So I had to update my review. My last experience was not great. The wait staff didnt seem to care much even when reminded that half our order had still not arrived after over an hour of waiting. Were busy is all she said each time without seeming to realize or care that an hour wait is excessive. It didnt help that many items came to the table room temperature or that the sodas were just dirty water with little fizz or flavor. Definitely not worth the price.

Was an amazing experience, not only all you cant eat but great food too! Friendly staff and a cute robot called belle first time there and will not be my last!
