A neighbourhood restaurant bar for people seeking good company and great food, quality cocktails and the best local taps. Your favourite game is always on and the beer is always cold! Come on down and let us show you what good company means to us.
Olivia P was, hands down, the best server. Not intrusive, yet always welcome and attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and, where her knowledge was insufficient, she offered a taster. The food was good, as always, though I am slightly dismayed that there is dairy in the corn dogs. I stumbled upon those gems a year ago and have been recommending them to friends - we had three orders last night - but, in the greatest of ironies, I could not indulge as they have added dairy to the batter. The things were spectacular before they added dairy - please, go back! Let me relive the glory! Lemon pepper fries, while excellent and inspired, play second fiddle to those corn dogs!
Good Co is quite decent, the happy hour was good value. It's more of a speakeasy than a place to watch sports but it has a nice feel and one of only 3 beer spots in the neighborhood. Give it a shot!
Guess how much for those 14 wings? $45. For mediocre, over salted and heavy priced wings. Absolutely astonishing that they’d be able to sell these to customers. On top of that, asking for a tip. Unbelievable, never coming again.
We had a great time with friends at the place, but the waitress who served us left us waiting for 20 minutes without coming to our table for payment. We went to the bar to ask if someone could assist us, and a server kindly went out of his way to help. Shortly after, the waitress returned and gave the server who helped us a hostile look. We felt so uncomfortable that we don’t want to return to that place again due to this unpleasant experience with the waitress. This occurred at 10 pm on Friday, August 30, 2024.
There aren't many options for a beer and food that are left in the area with a few recent closures, so I was looking forward to trying this pub. The best thing about it was the food, delicious! But the service was slow! While sitting outside is a nice option, you do get like you're in the middle of the busy traffic. I wish they had some sort of green hedge to cut down on the view and sound. The interior is more on that modern side, it's nice.
Good Co. Northwoods in North Vancouver is a fantastic spot for a great meal and a good time. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, with a modern, stylish decor that makes you feel right at home. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is top-notch. Whether you're out for a casual meal or a night out with friends, Good Co. Northwoods is a must-visit.
The Atmosphere for this place was great and service as well. About food, we ordered Wings, Nashville Hot Chicken burger and Smashed burger. Only the wings were Okish but expensive rest everything looked good and smelled good but no taste at all. Yes fries which came with burgers were great 👍 Go here just for casual drinks.
My partner and I came here for Sunday brunch. They were really nice to accommodate our request to order something(grilled avocado salad) from the non-brunch menu. They have great salads, amazing burgers and we love the staff. The tacos are great too! The staff are attentive and they never bug us during our meals to ask how our food is. And they have clean bathrooms too! **Edit: Had to change the stellar review as we came back for dinner a few nights later. I believe they really dropped the ball here. A few friends joined us for dinner, we moved to a bigger table and they took our order but I'm pretty sure they forgot our food. We inquired on the food after waiting about 20min, and within minutes, our food came out. We were disappointed there wasn't any apologies and that they forgot about our order. The food was still good.
The food is okay, but very small portions considering the prices. The service was friendly, but very, very slow. I spent most of my time ignored and waiting.
Nice place and the staff
If I was the general manager/owner I would be concerned. Sat down in bar for some NFL drinks and food, place wasn t even close to busy. Wasnt acknowledged, ignored for way too long so walked out. Bartender and waitress must make huge money in there so they can just socialize and not actually serve anyone? Or is this place self serve at the bar? Maybe they make so much money the place can afford to be worst service on the shore? Congrats the trophy is in the mail. Heard it sucked and yes it sucks.
They don t answer the phone. Not going somewhere that doesn t make a cosmopolitan but since there s no one available to ask we went elsewhere- obviously no time for customers - displayed by the lack of response here.. maybe their on the phone...
Fish tacos were awesome, but the wings were pretty pathetic, especially for what you got for the price! 10 ity bity wings for $19.50!!! What a joke! Never going back. Sorry
The food was great, the fries were lukewarm, but the burger was amazing! The server was kind patient and very friendly.
Went to Good co last Sunday after a sauna session and Sadra the bartender made the experience. He was friendly and fun! Good drinks and food. Check it out!
My sister and I stopped for lunch on Oct.23/24. Sister had been before, my first visit. Considering the nutrition and quality of the food, the ambiance and the service, and comparing that with, lets say, a McDonalds which I would give a 1 out of 10 rating, here at Good Co (what kind of a name is that!?), I would rate it at a 1.5 out of ten. My sister ordered a beer (cant go wrong there), I ordered water. The beer arrived but no water. I had to ask for it again. I ordered the fish tacos which were a disaster to try to pick up. The sauce was so watery it spilled onto the plate and table, and a knife and fork became necessary. The taco was a cold, white, lifeless, inedible, soggy mess. The fish and the fries were a frozen, refried, unhealthy disappointment. I had a bite of the fish, and left the rest. The bill came to $52. I was paying cash and had a $50 and a $20 on the table when the server asked, will you be needing any change? I said, yes. Thinking, did she expect an $18 tip? She then asked, how much change do you want me to bring back? Bad, Baaaaad Co!!!
Love going to this place for a smash burger.
Good atmosphere and patio! Unfortunately, the food misses the mark and is harsh mediocre for price. Service is absolute garbage. Manager take note, quite resting on the laurels of location and how busy it can be. You guys gotta do better.
It was a fun place to celebrate my birthday!
Everything starts at the top. Food is way too salty(nothing is fresh) Service at best is mediocre. Interior is nice just don t look at the seats. Seating is all torn up. There is mice and larger rodents in the restaurant. The bathrooms are disgusting. Watch your bill as we have been overcharged several times. Management and staff are ineffective, childish, slow and unresponsive. The staff act worse than high schoolers, so unprofessional and childishly unpleasant to deal with. I complained about my bill & being overcharged by a cheating bartender. He was mad cause I caught him ripping off myself and others patrons. He would target drunk customers. I brought this to the attention of in-house management(what a mistake) On my next visit I was then repeatedly harassed by a tall hook nosed Persian bartender (Sadra) for bringing the issue to the attention of management. Save your cash and go see Bo at Seymour s Pub .she rocks check her out! This place needs a full diaper change from manager (Ashley) on down. I wish I could give it zero stars
So happy, so cozy, love the food
You know what I like best?
Solid on food, service and atmosphere - can sit at the bar, at tables, outdoors even. Nice variety.
Classic cobb was sooo amazing. Great for people who want to stay healthy while eating out. I never rate things on google but I had to because it tasted thst good.
Nice place to sit and chill Parking: Lots of parking in the village Kid-friendliness: Nice place also for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Easy easy
Decent food prices are meh but awesome service Vegetarian options: Tacos cauliflower Food : 2/5 |
Should really be called OK Co.)
Ordered the cauliflower tacos and was quite shocked at what was brought out and served..pathetic serving, with almost no ingredients on the tacos. Extremely overpriced for extremely low quality food. Dont bother with this place.and the server was very forgetful- had to repeat requests a few times.
Came in around 7:30ish our waitress was so welcoming. The food was ok ok but sometimes service makes up for it. Thank you Paige for making our evening special! Ask for Paige when you want top notch service! Food
Came in 30 mins before closed, starving, and everything was fantastic. Got the Macdaddy burger, absolutely phenomenal, I m from Texas and it was one of the best burgers I ve ever had. Shout out to Olivia who was an amazing server (and very patient with my dad lol)
Little tired looking, very friendly staff though.
The manager Paige is over her head and ruined a night out. We waited to order dinner for over an hour and she told us after we approached her she cut us off cause we were too loud...Saturday early July and a birthday in the group. What a complete moron Paige is terrible manager
I ve had some good times here, and some of the staff are awesome but it only takes one bad experience with an unprofessional staff member to sour an opinion. We sat for 45 minutes and were snarkily told to leave when we asked about getting service because the manager was aware we had been drinking before coming to the establishment. And we had! It was the Vancouver Beer Festival. Yay! I d have loved a water and a burger, thanks! We went to the Queen s Cross where we were promptly greeted and served some amazing food. Thanks, GoodCo!
I usually never take the time to write reviews when I have a bad experience in a pub or restaurant but this time I felt disrespected in a place just one block away from my home. We were in a group of five people and we were served at the bar by a very friendly and kind bartender when we arrived around 8 PM to celebrate a friend s birthday. We decided to move to a table so we could order food. After waiting for almost one hour (not even water was served) we asked if we could order our dinner. The manager treated us poorly and asked us to leave for no reason at all. The pub was almost all empty (probably 10% of its capacity) and we were just chatting and having a good time. I don t know what kind of problems she is facing in her life or if she was just having a bad day but she should take her job, the company she works for and the clients more seriously. We are all 30 and 40 year old adults and we were definitely not being loud or causing any problems whatsoever. The fact that service was refused to us was shocking and simply pathetic so we ended up going to the Queens Cross Pub where the food and service were fantastic. I live in the neighbourhood so I could easily eat there 2 times a week but the manager made sure to give us the most terrible experience I have ever had in a pub. You guys should consider hiring competent grown ups to manage the pub instead of unprofessional kids with emotional issues.
Service is better than the food. Beers are solid. Smash burger is not in contention for top anything, veggie burger clearly from Costco. But the staff are great.
Paige was absolutely amazing! Came in with my family and she instantly lifted our moods. She was kind and energetic and always checked up on us. Absolutely amazing. Definitely will be back just to sit in her section :) 100% recommend.
Came in around happy hour with my sister and mom, and we had a great time. Paige our server was super sweet and attentive. Kept us hydrated in the sun, and delicious food and bevies in our tummies. Would 100% come back and request her section again. Personable and created a great atmosphere for a sunny Sunday.
A fantastic mother daughter date on the North Shore! Special thanks to Paige for her great energy and hospitality. Enjoyed the Cobb Salad, Beer Battered Fries and some drinks on the sunny patio. Nice chill vibe on Sunday afternoon, thanks for everything!
Meh. So may better options for this type of food and atmosphere. Service was meh. Food was meh. I d never go back.
Its a pub, just like every other pub soliciting alcoholism
If the bar is full with Canuck fans, it s disappointing that the manager keeps the volume of the game so low you can barely hear it. It s why the majority of people are in your bar, turn it up!!! It s the Stanley Cup Playoffs! Update: She raised the volume:) Yay! Our server was lovely, a little slow, but expected since the bar was full. The lasagna is a good portion and very tasty, recommend if you are looking for comfort food!
Burger was okay, but paid extra to get a caesar salad was not worth it. I won t order again if they keep selling these kind of foods.
Smash burger was great. Recommend the double.
I went there today for the.first time, I waited 30 minutes for a table, there was no one in there vacant tables everywhere in sight, only to have a sever tell is it will be another 25 to 30 minutes before we could be seated, the entire large lineup left, i will not go back
This bar turned off the NCAA Final Basketball game at HALFTIME because they couldn t figure out how to work their TV.
Food was good, portions were good. The cauliflower was delicious. It was a good pub type place. I had my toddler with me and she usually eats the adult sized bowls but their selection was limited in terms of bowls. I would go there again.
The poutine was so bland I needed half a shaker of salt and pepper lol. The server was never around had to get up to ask for ketchup ,Salt n pepper and again for my bill, best part was the non alcoholic beer
I would give lower for service if i could. Basically you can tell its a bunch of kids that have never worked before. Theh move for the most part, but nothing gets done.
Its been ho hum lately. My last visit a mouse scurried around and the hostess shrugged her shoulders as if she couldnt care less. Tonight we got 7 ridiculously over salted dry chicken wings for 20 bucks and no ranch that was on the receipt. At least we got rid of a couple of slugs when we dusted off the excess salt. The dressing for the salad was curdled. Service took an extremely long time. Id say the shark has been jumped.
Very relaxed ambiance. Tasty variety of different foods. Excellent staff, friendly with the kids, I tend to notice that. Definitely a must if youre in the area!
Great pub with tasty food and a good beer selection. The fish tacos were worth the trip.
I haven t left a review before, but our experience today has encouraged me to. I ordered a salad with a side of fries and our server Shadi took down my order and repeated it back to me. We were served our foods at different times, so I assumed my fries would come after I got my salad. Shadi never came back to check on us so I was unable to ask about my side of fries. She only finally came back to our table well after we were done our food and asked us if we wanted our bills. My friends wanted to order more food, but the duration of our wait was too long. Shadi did not say anything to us as we paid, and she left our table without a comment afterwards. The restaurant is a beautiful place and the Cajun Chicken Sandwich was delicious.
Food is great, service is prompt and friendly.
Portions are small but service was friendly and its a beautiful building.
My kids say it s the best smash burger on the Shore and i agree
Don t expect any services here. 20 minutes to take an order, 10 minutes to get you a drink, 40 minutes sitting with empty plates, 15 minutes waiting for a bill Below-average food Ruined dinner - thank you. Made a few attempts (eye contact) to call a server but simply ignored.
I rated this place a four when it was Colony Bar, and we went there weekly. Since the rebranding to GoodCo it has really gone downhill. Higher prices, smaller drinks and the food is truly terrible. Ordered a quesadilla and it was very soggy with no flavour. Accompanying soup was probably from a can - it tasted like it. Over $35 for that and a soft drink. Service has never been their strong point (and we accepted that when it was Colony), so theres no stars to be lost there.
Like a lot of others have said, we used to love this place but since it rebranded to Good Co, it has gone downhill. Most of us call it Not-great Co now. Smaller menu, and unexplainably worse food - I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and there is no longer any hot sauce on it - its just a breaded piece of chicken in a bun?? Cmon guys - you can do better.
Its a good neighborhood watering hole positive staff just needs more of energy buzz or atmosphere for the weekend..
Nice spot to watch the game, good patio for outdoor drinking/ eating. Service is fine.
Bridget was a fantastic hostess! As was Missy. Amazing customer service and very welcoming staff. We will be back! Oh, the food is really good too. Vegetarian options: They had several vegetarian options (burger, tacos, and bowls).
Neighborhood pub with all its urban advantages
Not very delicious food but acceptable Unacceptable service If you are looking for a place to find a good drink and have good night you d better find somewhere else
Awesome pub. Yummy wings and burgers. Worth a visit
Nice space. Ordered two beers both were flat. Couldn t bring myself I send back the second. One kids drink needed to be remade too. Not sweet at all. Side salad was ridiculously small and burger was a little on the cool side, but tasty.
This place is very mediocre, but happy hour deals are great price wise.
The food and service here were 5-star. Had the Cajun chicken sandwich and the stadium bowl, great! However, the men s washroom was filthy! I m not talking someone made a mess in there kind of dirty, it has not been properly cleaned in a very long time. The dirt was caked on every surface.
Friendly staff, decent prices for their menu.
Cosy place to spend some time with friends. Staff is cool and there are in no rush which is great.
Great staff
They had a good brunch menu but as per usual they changed it and took off the best items . This place could be way better for some reason they dont listen the locals .?.
Good co. is a good place to eat.
Good ambiance, foods, and cocktails. Went there around midnight. Good service
We couldn t order the nacho to go because they don t have the right container?! Which is kind of interesting we want late night snack and hot 7 wings?! Interesting . The bartender was nice, he kept apologizing for the nacho, so 3 stars.
Good food, reasonable prices and excellent service. The vibes here are amazing, the atmosphere is ideal and its happy hour is ideal for a hang with friends. On our most recent trip a friend brought a board game along to try out, the staff not only allowed us to set it up and play it, but multiple complimented us and we re excited to see us playing it. I am already planning to return for brunch in the future as the food and prices of the brunch menu look amazing. Also again, the staff here were amazing, friendly and fast. Oh the loaded tots are also worth 5 stars. Parking: Parking right up the doors. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs at this location, the entry hallway is a little tight but doable.
I will always love Colony Bar/Good Co!!! Can never go wrong when you visit any of their locations.
Just stopped in for a few beers but liked the place. Fairly small from what I saw but looked like they had a patio for the summer. Would definitely go back if I was in the area, especially for tapped out Tuesday.
Update: Changing my rating to 5 stars as things are back to the usual - great service , food quality and portion size during my most recent visit. Good job! Have been a regular since it opened as the Colony. Chicken wings and tacos were great. Shockingly the nachos which is a signature item was disappointing Seemed like the cheese was held far away during prep. The deep fried squid was under fried and soggy - a total flop. Amy was professional and provided great service. Still my fav place on the shore.
15% fee on all card transactions avoid like the plague. Encouraged cash payment to avoid reporting income. Goo
Went there for happy hour, me and a bud crushed 8 drinks for under 40$. Friendly and hasty service, would definitely recommend hitting it up after work or whatever. Didnt get a chance to try the food, sry. Parking: Small vehicles wont have a problem but can be tight if your in a truck
I went for nachos but it had some creamy sauce on it which left the chips soggy. All the rest of the food that was ordered was fine.
Ambience is pleasant, but was very disappointed in the food. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and when the plate arrived, they had two small florets in each taco with some limp strands of cabbage. Low score for presentation and quantity: It was considered a main meal, but had to come home and prepare more food. Vegetarian options: Be a bit more generous with your helpings of food.
Good place Not perfect Staff was a bit in the rush I ll give it another chance Food : 5/5 |
I recently visited this restaurant, and I regret to say that it was a terrible experience. The fish taco I ordered was unfortunately too salty for my taste. Furthermore, my friend was charged an extra fee for lettuce, which seemed unnecessary. Its absurd to charge extra for such a basic ingredient. To make things worse, there were no straws available, which made drinking my beverage difficult and inconvenient. The burger I ordered was a disappointment; the portion was much smaller than I expected, especially given the high price. I left the restaurant feeling like I didnt get my moneys worth. On top of all this, it seemed like everything I wanted was out of stock. It was incredibly frustrating to have such limited options, and it felt like the restaurant didnt care about providing a quality experience for its customers. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. My experience was terrible, and I wont be going back. Save your time and money and choose a different restaurant.
Our bartender was very sweet and had a great playlist, its always a friendly and fun time there!
Horrible service: we sat at our table for 15 minutes without a server coming to take our drink order, so I had to go to the hostess / host stand to ask if we had a server, then we waited another 15 minutes before our drinks arrived. Half an hour in total. The service continued along this line for the rest of the evening. Food: sub par. Vegetarian options: Good veggie options.
I made a reservation for 13 people to watch the hockey game on a Saturday evening at 5pm. My whole group said the food was great and the patio setup with the TV s was ideal. The service alone was 0 stars. I arrived at 4:30 and was immediately notified of the auto 18% gratuity for a large party which is normal. I ordered my first beer at 5 and the server didn t come back to our table for 45 mins to check in. We had to track him down to order more drinks and food. Second order went in at 5:45 and at 6:20 I had to go to the bar and ask where our drinks were. They apologized and said the order was lost in the mix They covered 1 round of drinks but the service barely got any better from there. I ve been here a few times and it s like the patio is neglected because it doesn t face the bar. I would assume that a party of 13 guys staying for 3-4 hours to watch hockey would be easy money for a server with auto gratuity. This was shocking. We had to go to the bar and grab our own napkins for our food. Then ask servers from other sections to bring us water. As mentioned before food was EXCELLENT, patio bar and vibe was 10/10. The service ruined the whole experience. It was all we talked about for the last 2 hours we were there.
Enjoyed a couple beers and a burger with some mates on the patio setup. The food is solid and the service was good.
We used to like this place a lot - however, since they re-branded to GoodCo , things have gone downhill quickly. The menu is very limited now, as they took off many of the favourites (chicken strips for the kids, Cajun chicken entree etc). And the quality of the food itself has also dropped. As for the drinks? Well, those have also gone south. They used to do this awesome Caesar with bacon and a pickle - it may have been the best Caesar is town. Now? A bland offering with an old bean. Would not recommend coming here unfortunately, unless you re just looking for a quick beer.
awesome place...we came in 10 mins before kitchen closed, but they let us in..kitchen mightve lost their sheeeet..thanks Olivia, Ally and Nicole! Parking: we came late, about 9pm, lots of parking but dunno how it is during dinner Wheelchair accessibility: yep, this place is on the main floor
We had a morning hike at Deep Cove and on the way back to Vancouver we came across goodco by chance. Really friendly service and delicious food.
This cozy restaurant should quickly become one of your favorite spots to grab a bite to eat in the area. First off, the food at Good Co. Northwoods is simply amazing. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, ranging from classic pub fare to more unique options. I especially love their burgers, which are juicy and flavorful, and their poutine, which is okay outside of Quebec. The menu also has plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options, so theres something for everyone. The atmosphere of Good Co. Northwoods is also top-notch. The decor is rustic and cozy, with lots of wood accents and warm lighting. The bar area is particularly inviting, with a great selection of local beers and spirits. Its the perfect place to unwind after a long day, or to catch up with friends over a meal. While the service at Good Co. Northwoods can sometimes be a bit slow, Ive never found it to be a major issue. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and they clearly take pride in their work. Plus, the quality of the food and atmosphere more than make up for any minor inconveniences. Overall, I would highly recommend Good Co. Northwoods to anyone looking for a great meal in a cozy, welcoming environment. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is more than adequate. Give it a try - you wont be disappointed!
Not worth the money !!
Unreal spot all around, friendly and engaged service, good wine and nice menu variety. The Thai dish was tasty.
I went there to watch UCL final, unfortunately internet was the issue. As a result I couldnt enjoy watching the final there.
I moved into the area and have been here a dozen times. The beer is woeful, really bad. The food isnt great either. The service is decent and the place looks great. Seymour Pub is much better for a pint and a bite.
Ordered nachos and they were served without salsa and sour cream. Figured the server forgot to bring them out so asked for both. Ended up being charged $3 for EACH and they were TINY portions. Inquired about this and the server said it s new menu pricing but we were never notified at any point nor was it listed on the menu. I ve never eaten anywhere where salsa and sour cream weren t included with the nachos. Won t be returning to or recommending Good Co.
Delicious Smashburger. The staff was also very nice and they have a good selection on draft.
Nice atmosphere, was a great place when it was the Colony but since its turned into Good co. the food has been on the decline. loved the Nashville chicken burger, but the last two or three times its been just a chicken bun with no hot sauce etc and the chicken itself seems to be smaller and smaller each time. tried to call one day and got rejected 16 times before we got through and the lady on the phone said the place was really busy. got there to collect the food and there was 5 different customers and about 10 staff walking around chatting to each other. might try again but who knows how it will be
Love this location. Food and service is excellent. $4.50 hi-balls at happy hour!!
I live 2 blocks away for the past almost 4 years. I ve been many many many (probably around 80) times to this place. I must say we (as a family or friends) used to love it!!!! In the last 2 years I ve started to feel like something is wrong every time that we go there. This review is not coming to say I have had a bad experience. I have had enormous mistakes and problems in the last 10 times that I ve been there. We live in such a good neighborhood and we are not expecting a 5 star restaurant. We don t mind issues rarely.. I wish you guys good luck! If you want my real feedback I d love to explain it over the phone or email. Sorry guys, it s definitely not the same. And by the way 18% is the minimum option for tip. I know I can change it at any time but it s quite rude!!!! It s not a Michelin restaurant like wt* the service is the worst every time!
Perfect little spot in North Van to have a quick bite and drink. The drink menu is packed full of items, but the food menu can use some tweaking. There are not a lot of items to choose from when it comes to actually food. But overall, an ok spot to stop once at.
Food is decent, but the service is atrocious. Wouldn t recommend this spot unless you don t mind waiting 20 minutes for bottled beer.
Great selection of craft brews and delicious cod tacos!
We booked a large party event at the Northwoods patio and had a great experience from the time of inquiry to the end of the event. They have a great outdoor space and our group had a private nook tucked away from the rest of the tables. Kat helped me with the booking and was great with answering my many questions, coordinating the event and ensuring we were looked after leading up to the day. Miranda served our group and did a fantastic job keeping up and kept a smile on her face the whole time. Overall a great experience and our guests had a great time. I would book with Good Co again. If I had any suggestions, it would be having a couple of options for those who need gluten-free on the starter menu.
this place is so chill during the day, the food was so good and came out pretty fast. the non-alcoholic drinks are pretty expensive but theyre ok. the outside of the building is confusing but its still a great place to eat
The coconut alcoholic drink was great!
*UPDATE at bottom* Used to enjoy this place when it was Colony, but the service and food have gone downhill fast. Once we seated ourselves, we waited 15 minutes without even being acknowledged with various staff frequently walking past. I had to ask someone at the bar for service and was met with a poor attitude for daring to interrupt them. The food didn t come out together and we ate separately. Our drinks never arrived and when I asked, the server again gave attitude for interrupting her. You want a second drink or a refill on water? Forget it - no one even offered. Unfortunately the food is sub-par too. The chicken on my burger was so small it didn t even take up half the bun, and the fries and tater tots very obviously tasted frozen. I definitely won t be going back which is too bad as the venue itself has so much potential. **Updated September 15, 2023** After receiving what felt like a genuine response from GoodCo, I promptly emailed Ashleigh as requested to take her up on her offer and give them another chance. Two weeks, and two emails later, and still no response from Ashleigh or GoodCo. A lack of service runs deeper than just the customer-facing team.
Went in many times, great happy hour. This experience for take out though was terrific. Within 2 minutes standing at the front waiting for my meal 5 people working asked if I had been helped! Great customer service.
Wonderful vaulted ceiling in this newer building. Comfortable spot for a pint and food. Efficient and poppy hosts. Pub food. Parking: A limited number of spots serving multiple retail and restaurants. Can be a challenge to find something during peak hours.
Absolutely fantastic experience! I came here last Sunday Night, and I will 100% be coming back with my family! And FINALLY a restaurant that plays actually GOOD music (rock - Sabro our waiters playlist)! Sabro was a fantastic waiter, and I ll be asking for him next time I come! Thank you again!
Good food, good service nice spot
Beer selection is so-so.
The lemon French fries are so good, I dream about them. You have to have the dip! Perfect combination! Parking: Parking is free, but the restaurant shares the lot with Starbucks and a dozen other shops.
Fun place for eats and drinks. Interior is quite cool. Food was great.
Food was decent and servers were attentive. Not crazy about the tip options starting at 18% and going as high as 25%. But that seems to be a tactic in the service industry. Id come back to try some beers in the future.
Its a nice cozy place. Service was standard. I was a bit surprised when my Good Burger fell apart after one bite. Wouldve been nice to have a fork or spoon to eat the remains. At the very least I didnt get food poisoning.
The Nashville Hot sandwich is so good and the fries are delicious too. Dont miss $4 beers on Tuesdays!
Terrible experience. Server didn t know the menu, food wasn t great, server ignored us, took forever to get our bill. Will not be back.
Walked in. Sign stated seat yourself. Sat at a table and then was told to move as it was reserved. No sign. Then told by waitress she didnt know where there was an alternative. Walked out! Food
The salad serving size as a side and its dressing were awfully disappointing. I ordered the Good Burger with a side of salad; however, the serving size of salad was barely half of the small tub (barely 6 inches in height). It lacked dressing too. Are veggies and dressing ingredients that expensive nowadays? The burger would have been perfect if the small tub for salad was full. Truly disappointing...
Good food, good beer, friendly staff. Highly recommend Colony.
This place has a unique looking indoor area and that big patio outside is killer. I grew up down in Maplewood. Seeing this and so many other things down in the area always leaves me in awe. The location for this Colony right on the corner is perfect. The staff here are casual and friendly but also professional and seem to know their menu well. They always answer my questions immediately about stuff whenever Ive visited. The interior dining area is brightly lit and somewhat unique. When youre used to the darker interiors of the regular Browns or Earls circuit, this place is a welcome and surprising change. You can tell its a family orientated place. Still a good spot to catch the game and as I said, the patio location is great. Lots of parking too. I feel like if Im ever in the area, hanging out at the nearby Seymour River or checking out Maplewood Farm again, thisll be a guaranteed stop for lunch. Great location and something that was sorely missing for years when I grew up down there.
Food was ok. The atmosphere was great and had a fantastic vibe but the items we ordered were not tasty. Probably best to just have some beer, watch the game and light snacks. Not a full on dinner place.
Dogs are not welcome on the outdoor patio.
Good food and value - Well positioned near the dump - lol happy to come by - clean -good service and good value food - great to have this place not to far from us - who knew
The decor is nice, but the food and service are terrible. Super disappointed in this place, as locals were so excited to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood, but despite giving it many opportunities, its definitely been a flop. Hoping that the new name brings along new changes in the menu and training of their staff to be warm and welcoming.
Ordered pickup during pandemic. Burger was tasty and the fries were also nice. Broccoli salad was very good. The deep fried cauliflower was mostly batter but everything was nice. Looks like a nice place to have a beer after a ride on the shore.
Good? Certainly not the service. I can t speak to the quality of the food and drinks because I was not afforded the opportunity to try any of it. My boyfriend and I were seated right away and then completely forgotten about. The place was not at all busy, in fact there were more servers than customers at the time. I can t really fault the servers themselves as they were all gen z and therefore not acquainted with the basic life skills, common sense or any kind of work ethic. I DO, however, fault the owners for hiring them. We left after waiting a total of 20 mins without so much as a glance from any of the servers. At one point I waved at one of them to indicate that we were ready to order. I kid you not, she waved back and then went back to looking at her phone.
Excellent attentive staff. Solutions oriented when it came to drinks.
Lovely waitress
Friendly staff, cheap drinks and good food.
Great food, and service! Super fun atmosphere!
Great Korean chicken bowl :-)
Great service and vibes, super good food (I had the best breakfast poutine I ve ever eaten), good local beer, too. Clean bathrooms.
Good food
Great spot.
Good food, good drinks, wonderful staff. They use tater tots in things, such as loaded potatoes, and we all know tots are one of the ultimate forms of potato. So give it a try if you are in the North Shore.
2022 what an effing disaster. Very disappointed to say the least. We ordered take out. Waited the 20+ minutes to pick up. Waited in line to see the hostess. I picked up my order and started to walk away. Notices my bag was really light. Not the weight of three dinners plus sides and extras. Someone forgot to ring in half my order. I asked about it and they rush ordered it. I waited and someone asked me to sit in the back so they can focus on new customers and make it more convenient for the hostess . Sorry- but why would I make it more convenient for you when you guys made it so damn inconvenient for us?! I asked about remake on my whole order cuz the original order will be cold and soggy by the time our forgotten items were made. They said it would be 30+ minutes for a remake. I requested the sides be remade. Waited 30 extra minutes anyways. Asked for my tip to be refunded. That was an ordeal in itself. We finally get home and they forgot half my order and the dips again!! And my burger was soggy and inedible. Seriously GoodCo?! This should NOT happen. How do I get my money back for the forgotten items? 2019 Drinks were good. Small menu. Food was okay. It was a LOT loud. Our server wasn t at all attentive. We had to wave down others several times! Hopefully it s just working out the kinks- we will try again in a few week.
Just left, not very busy and our food took forever, my friends pasta had sat so long it came off the plate in one cold sold chunk, By far the worst service I ve ever had and I m not one to complain normally
Stood at the hostess booth for 3-4 mins. One server made eye contact with me and continued to ignore us, so we left.
Really stupid woke name change but still a great place! Had the Avocado Salad with chicken and it was on point. Tuesday night is cheap night our bill was a nice surprise
Staff was friendly, drinks were cold and food was delicious! Will be back!
Inexpensive beers
Great place for an informal bite. Avoid Tuesdays after 5-6PM as its a madhouse of Collage/Uni students. Good food, fairly quick, staff work hard. Minus one star as the Colony Brand was better.
My wife and I try to get out once a week for date night without our son. This place has been one of those go to places for us. Friendly staff, consistent good food, drink specials are just a few of the benefits of visiting here. If you are in the area, this is a great place.
Did take out for my lunch break during work, when it ate it 5 minutes after pickup the Thai curry rice bowl was only a little warm, and did not taste good. I added chicken and I only had maybe 8-10 small chunks.
Great food but 3 stars for the dishonesty of how dog friendly the patio was. They made it seem like you could sit next to your dog.. while theyre tied up on the outside. They failed to mention that the gate is frosted glass and about 5ft tall so you and your dog actually have no contact and youd have to stand and look over to check on your dog.
Fun atmosphere and convenient location. Food is average, drinks are alright, but I always have such good service here. Its not my first choice for a pub, but the service here is always top tier! Bravo! Parking: Parking was limited due to the lot being used by other businesses
I booked a table for 12 people for my husbands birthday and i cant believe how disappointed i was. the service was INCREDIBLY slow..and im talking wait 20 minutes to even get our order taken then another 15 to get drinks. now i have been a server and worked in the industry for years, i know how things are when its busy, but they were not busy. there was 5 tables in the whole place with three servers... I brought a cake for my husband and they didnt even have the courtesy to put the candles on that i brought in and light it for us... she handed me the cake in front of him and i had to put the candles on my self and when i asked for a lighter she said they didnt have any...? are u for real?! it a bar!!!!! and to top it off.. she didnt keep track of bills and had over 60.00$ it un accounted drinks that someone from our table paid for. are u serious?! take names and keep track..its your job!! Again i was a server myself and that the first thing you do when you have a big table! not bat your eyes and hope someone will pay for it. absolutely ridiculous. we spend over 900$, we made a reservation, put an experienced server on our table. they made the whole experience awkward and sad and possibly the worst birthday dinner ive planned for my husband. wont be going back for casual drinks even cause this experience made me so mad. there should be a change in management. and there should be conversations had about hospitality and attitude towards customers. im Paying and tipping you, you arent doing me a favour for doing your job.
New name, same great food and beer.
Slow slow service; arrogant, young staff and the menu, and, food is lacking big time. Go next door to the other restaurant, waay better, friendlier, polite service, and, much better food
Ambiance is ok, food is average
After 2+ years of being a regular visitor, we wont be back.. They formerly had a kids menu, chicken fingers and fries were our kids favourite, but they have dropped all kids menu items. No longer a reasonable choice for a family night out. Theyve said clearly by this that they dont want family business. Tried it last night after a soccer game... 1 dish had to go back. 14oz beer is not a pint. Rare to see a serving size that small, at that price, without at least a full 20oz option available. Pretty disappointing after how Colony started out here 4 years ago.
We were there for dinner and had a good experience. The food was tasty and the service was good. Wed go back again.
Service wa good, food was OK, but when I ordered poutine at 9:15, then last call for food came at 9:30, then last call for drinks came at 9:40, all before my poutine had arrived, I was a little confused. This is a restaurant, dont confuse it with a place to get together to hang out with friends (ie a PUB). Probably a good place to take your family with kids, but skip it if you want to have some drinks with your pals.
Service was great,food was great!!
Says open for World Cup 11am games - arrive and closed
Food was good. But not much there. Had the chicken tacos. I think for a main at least have 3. But ok place.
One word to describe to tonight! AMAZING!
Honestly terrible. Staff are not friendly nor attentive. Food is mediocre. Some of the worst nachos Ive ever had; barely any cheese and most of the cheese was stuck to the bottom of the sticky paper. Additional they were cold and the sauce they use makes the chips soggy. The chicken kaarage is acceptable but not very crispy. Avoid.
