2045 Lonsdale Ave, North Vancouver, BC V7M 2K4, Canada
Relaxed place serving creative & classic Indian dishes such as tikka masala, curries & samosas.
One of the best Indian restaurant if it is not the best. The food is delicious,my sister who is visiting from Sweden and I were eating there every day, the chicken tikka is amazing, butter chicken is out of this world, everything on the menu is absolutely delicious..the restaurant is very welcoming, the service very pleasant and professional, the atmosphere is great, the music is mesmerizing..Bravo 👏 worth every penny spent.
I've probably already made a review about this place. It's the best Indian food on the shore. We've tried them all. My favourite dish is the vegetable biryani. Packed with flavour and all types of vegetables. Every bite is a surprise. My other favourite is the lamb vindaloo. My family thinks it's really spicy so that means extra raita An extra lamb for me :-) We always get the garlic naan and vegetable peas as well. Extra mint chutney. All their dishes are fantastic. The photo I added is not very good. My fiancé dished up my food in a container because I was working lol
Excellent pricing of lunch special at 13.95! I had the vegetarian version and it had palak paneer, daal makhani, naan (I swapped it for roti), rice, curd and salad. The palak paneer is very tasty and paneer is super soft and fresh! I wish the daal makhani had more lentils but I can understand that given the price point. Would recommend the restaurant to add an option of a sweet dish for couple bucks more. Will definitely visit again for a la carte menu and try other options.
Indian Fusion is a delightful place at the North End of Upper Lonsdale, across from London Drugs. The food was authentic, and cooked to perfection. Most delightful was the Tandoori Fish. We shall definately return. Update: 10/15/24 We returned for more great food. The highlight of this meal was Grilled Platter. It was the best marinated and grilled food I have had in years.
I recently visited this Indian restaurant during my trip to Vancouver, and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was outstanding and exceptionally fresh. The mango lassi, in particular, was one of the best I’ve ever had—absolutely delicious. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a delightful dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere.
One of the best Indian foods I’ve ever had! And I’ve had many😁 always fresh food, tasty, great quality, price is great for the quality and quantity. Very clean. Owners are welcoming and kind. I certainly recommend this place for delusions Indian. I live out of country and every time in Vancouver, this place is on the top of my list.
Great friendly service and seriously delicious food. I could eat the entire meal over again! The Chicken Palak was very tasty and the chicken was really tender. We had a a vegetarian with us and there were lots of options for him. He loves the Dal Makhani - orders it every time. The Mutter paneer was good too. Our only suggestion for improvement is that the interior could do with something to dampen the sound as it quite noisy when the restaurant is busy.
After 10 years of enjoying this place, I can confidently say it’s my favorite for Indian cuisine! While it may not be very traditional, the flavors are absolutely delicious and incredibly satisfying. Every dish I've tried has been tasty and full of unique twists that keep me coming back for more. If you love Indian food and are looking for something different yet delicious, I highly recommend giving this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!
Delicious food. Fair prices. Friendly owner
This the best Indian food I ve ever had in North America. We came in for lunch. Outstanding. Will be back!
Lamb Rogen josh
the fish curry and roti are incredible as well as being dairy free and vegan respectively! the butter chicken and garlic naan are 10/10 according to my husband and the portions are healthy! service is fantastic too and quite fast
food was so good. best curry we ve ever had. the garlic naan was delish. i will dream of this food tonight. we will be back asap.
Amazing! Could eat there everyday. So many yummy options.
Friendly informed staff and great food Vegetarian options: Good vegan options Food : 5/5 |
If you order take out, they wait until they have multiple multiple orders before delivery. It took 2hrs for our food to arrive and the person delivering was on tour of the whole north van side. Food was cold.
Super delicious food, great service, nice ambience. Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian dishes! Food : 5/5 |
Yummmmm I just ate there for the second time last night and Im still thinking about it. Sweet spot with stylish and fabulous servers, delicious meals, and a great vibe. Ill be back for more
Absolutely amazing food
Used to love this place but now the servers and staff are just rude. Sit there stand over there etc, no warmth no please and thank you. Just treating guests like they re lucky to be there. Won t be back.
Simply the best better than all the rest. Food is always full of flavour, staff friendly and efficient.
We had a birthday there and everyone had a great time and such good food. It is a gem on Lonsdale. I have lived here for so long and only discovered it in the last year. Then my family had take out 2 weeks later. Must try the butter chicken, chicken pakoras, samosas, aloo gobi, palak paneer and fish curry. Service and staff were awesome too! Vegetarian options: We dined with a couple people who were vegetarians and they had no problem finding foods they liked. Had the Aloo Gobi, Eggplant, and Palak Paneer with rice and Naan. Kid-friendliness: Kids loved it there.
Magical the quintessential Indian cuisine
The food was so delicious and the drinks too were really great. And good value.
We have ordered food here many times, and their butter chicken has been our favourite however recently the chicken has been tough and the sauce very watery, perhaps they have changed their recipe to save money . Shame.
Super delicious! We ordered rice, chicken curry and nan bread and everything was incredibly delicious and the portions were large, I highly recommend it
I visited this restaurant for lunch. Food was amazing but the service was really bad. First of all the waiter messed up our order and got us just half of the order and later went and placed the remaining order because he forgot few of it. Worst part was he messing our drink order. We ordered for a non alcoholic mango drink which was alcoholic. The waiter was not writing down orders when we place one and he mess up and get us alcoholic drinks when we specifically mention non alcoholic.
My favourite Indian food restaurant in Vancouver.
The experience was good, but when we ordered the chicken tikka masala, we were given a dish with just cooked chicken breast rather than using chicken tikka which is made in a tandoor over. When asked about this the server told us, thats how they make it. The rest kf the food was good.
After seeing good review on the page visited this place and ordered chicken biryani and lamb biryani ao disappointed to see it was tomato rice with lots of capsicum and come chicken and lamb pieces
These folks always serve great food
Great food and service, Im vegetarian, so had the Dal makhani and mutter paneer which were bith excellent. Restaurant can get a little noisy.
Best Indian food Ive ever had in US/Canada. We had eggplant bharta and shahi panner with butter garlic naans and we loved it! Authentic Indian food! Foodgasmic good!! Food : 5/5
The food was enjoyable, but the service was highly disappointing. The server carelessly tossed the menus onto the table without even a greeting. When my friend attempted to compliment the food at the end of our meal, we were blatantly ignored. It felt as though we were being discriminated against.
Our favourite place for Indian food. We ve been coming here for over a decade because the food is consistently incredible and the people are friendly. The portions are large and we always leave with some leftovers.
I had a frustrating experience at this place. I placed an order over the phone and left work to pick it up, but when I got back, they had forgotten my drink. The food also didn t match what was shown on their website there were no salad or sides included. When I called to inquire, they admitted the website was incorrect, but insisted that the food was as is. The person I spoke to was incredibly rude. I requested my missing drink be delivered, but they said they couldn t do so until later, and it never arrived. No refund was offered either. I won t be returning.
Went here for lunch when in the city from Toronto. Lunch special was amazing. Chicken and Naan was on point. Affordable lunch too. Highly recommend Food : 5/5
It was delicious!!! We asked for low-spice, and they made it that way. Just a wonderful range of items on the menu with one specialty being the prawns. The Fusion Sampler is just amazing!!! Vegetarian options: They have several. Lots to choose from. Parking: Across from L9ndon Drugs on Lonsdale. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.
Soooooo good! I would eat there for lunch and dinner everyday.
This places Biryani is really something else It is not mild/rich and leans more toward herb and spice bomb that blends together so well Highly recommend If you have a tongue for Asian/spicy foods!
Must visit here, awesome food.
Consistent in terms of quality of food Stunning chicken korma, lamb josh, . Naan freshly of the oven are to die for Service is good, very professionnal can be slower if you are on site as the food delivery is also a big part of the service A blast of spices in the mouth when asked not too spicy as per canadian standard ;-) Highly recommended
SERVICE WAS SO GOOD AND THE VINDALOO WAS FIRE
Ordered takeout from them today. Paid with 15%tip. The lady staff in the front was rude and told me to wait outside the restaurant even tho the restaurant was completely empty inside! Waited the whole 20 mins outside in the footpath.
Delicious onion kulcha, eggplant and Bombay curry. The lunch special looked great too.
Super tasty Indian food Excellent Shahi paneer Usually busy Food : 5/5
You guys need to train your front staff how to deal with customers. Looks like all are working without any will. Just doing time pass here. Food is nice but customer service is 0. Why your front staff remain so rude and in their thoughts i dont understand. Happened couple of times. Food is nice but staff should be preety calm and focusing on work.
Tastes very good and authentic
Good hygiene, tasty food n well serviced
The servants were not enough hospitable and supportive.
Way too spicy even when ordering mild.. It feels like it is medium hot. Gave it 3 tries asking for mild and not getting it. Both dine in and take out. My grandson loves curry be is unable to eat it. Will not be ordering again.
I always love their lunch specials. The food quality is great.
The food is honestly not too bad in the afternoons, but in the evenings its not that good. Im guessing its probably two separate cooks. The customer service is something they need to seriously work on. I usually always order the lunch special and I make sure I leave a tip, but the poor customer service always leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. I wont be coming here again or recommending this place to anyone else unfortunately. I hope they read this review and learn from this! I wish them nothing but growth and success in the future. God bless.
Usually awesome, but the last few times the meat (lamb) has been incredibly dry and tough. Picked up Thursday evening 8pm. Guys, hoping you take this the way it is intended, just to flag that I know you can do better and sometimes the meat is incredible. Don t be a hit or miss restaurant!
Really nice chicken Tikka Masala
Quality of food was amazing. Prices were reasonable and staff was great. Best Indian food in North Vancouver
We ve been regulars of Indian fusion for years. The food is consistently fantastic. Excellent flavours and portions and I find the meat they use of high quality.
Palak paneer 10/10 Tandoori chicken 3/10 because too much turmeric Will be going again for the paneer dishes.
We were dining in and were surprised by the unprofessional and rude behaviour of the waitress. Firstly, she brought the wrong item and when I said it is not what I ordered, the reply was I never make mistakes and no apology was made. I had to wait extra for my order to come and pay for the wrong order! Secondly, they missed another item and brought it late without making any apology either. The service used to be good, but totally a bad experience this time.
It upsets me to do this but this used to be our go to Indian Restaurant. We would travel all the way from Port Coquitlam to eat here. Unfortunately it is not what it used to be. The pakoras had no flavor and just covered in an insane amount of salt. The chutney was like water. We ordered the Chana Masala and the Butter Chicken and they were bland, watery, and tasteless. Its an end of an Era. The only thing I can say is that the service was still good.
Great Indian Food. One of the best meals I have had in Vancouver. All dishes are really well prepared, fresh and tasty. We visited this place twice when we visited Vancouver. Definitely recommend.
Its one of my favorite places to go now. The food and service were awesome.
Rude reception
Easily the best Indian cuisine on the North Shore (possibly the best I ve had this side of Abbotsford/Chilliwack). The Tikka Masala had the perfect spice level and the flavour was delicious. Chicken was tender. The garlic naan was huge and delicious. Highly recommend!
Food was awesome, butter chicken, palak paneer, chicken korma, onion kulcha, veggie samosas, all very good. I think the korma was one of the best I have had.
Never eaten in but we often get takeout and it s the best Indian in the area! Will continue to be regulars.
I had lunch at Indian Fusion was pretty blown back for how authentic everything tasted. The chicken tandoori was brought out sizzling hot and the butter chicken was perfection. If youre in North Vancouver and are craving indian food dont hesitate to sacrifice your wallet here.
Best Indian in North Vancouver. They need some pictures on the wall to add some colour everything dark and gray.
Our go to for Indian food on the North Shore. Fantastic food with great vegan options. Their naan is amazing. We will definitely order takeout & dine in there again.
Really good all around. Food was great, service was fast. Naan and mango lassi were excellent. 3 of us ate for less than $90, very worth it.
Reasonably-priced and tasty. We had the palak paneer, which was among the best Ive had. The spinach had as almost slight smoky flavor to it that really made it excellent. We also had the butter chicken, which while good, didnt stand out as much as the palak paneer. The chicken was a bit dry and in too-big chunks and the sauce was good, but not superlative. But I suspect well be back to try other things!
Vegetarian options: Okra masala , Dal Makhni Food
We ordered takeout last night, and I have spent all day in bed with stomach cramps after puking this morning. I had a doctor phone call appointment after calling 811 and they told me it was probably something I ate last night. We ordered lamb korma and butter chicken. There was hardly any meat in it. We also ordered naan bread which was very blackened. I read rave reviews about this place online so I thought we would try it out. I kept telling my boyfriend I don t understand how this place has such a good reviews, there are far better Indian restaurants on the North Shore.
Staff is very helpful n understanding
Recommended by friends and exceeded expectations.
Fantastic place for dine-in, even given their large volume of takeout services. We always enjoy coming in here for a nice sit down dinner in the winter to enjoy the cozy atmosphere and delectable food, but also in the summer time sitting at their patio and enjoy the afternoon glow of Lonsdale. Highly recommend their Dal Makhani, ( order spicy!), Kachumber Salad, anything lamb, and garlic naan.
Love this place, owner Sean always says hello and is very welcoming. Food is great. Have a king fisher to round out your meal.
Food was delicious!
Have ordered for takeout and dine in, good experience with both. Best Indian food I ve ever had. Well spiced, but also fresh thanks to the herbs added in. The only miss for me, are the appetizers as I prefer the traditional presentation over the fusion style offered. But still one of the best Indian restaurants I ve been to.
Love the food here. It s been our go-to for Indian food, both takeout and dine-in. The vindaloo is seriously spicy! Their lunch deal is also really good.
Great Indian food on the North Shore
Best Indian cuisine in north shores
We had such a great evening at Indian Fusion! We were greeted promptly, food was AWESOME, and Dina was so amazing. Give that girl a raise!! She was doing 100 things at once, all the while being friendly and personable! So stoked to come back here again. Thanks Dina and co!
Staff are rude and impolite. I never go back there again.
Delicious naan bread I got the sampler kit with pakoras and few other things it was amazing and so much flavour !!
Amazing food!
Indian Fusion Restaurant is a unique dining experience that combines the flavors and spices of traditional Indian cuisine with modern cooking techniques and ingredients. Located in the heart of the city, the restaurant has a chic, contemporary design and a lively atmosphere. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including classic Indian favorites such as tandoori chicken and lamb vindaloo, as well as modern fusion creations like curry tacos and masala burgers. In addition to its impressive entree selection, the restaurant also offers an array of appetizers, soups, and salads. The vibrant flavors of the food are perfectly complemented by the restaurants extensive drink menu, which includes an array of specialty cocktails, beers, and wines. Whether youre in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner, Indian Fusion Restaurant has something to suit every taste. With its innovative take on traditional Indian cuisine, its no wonder this restaurant is a local favorite.
My favorite North Shore restaurant. Food is amazing. Beware the Vindaloo.
My favorite spot for korma. Delicious naan and by far the best Indian food in the area.
Wonderful food in a busy unpretentious space.
We ordered the Butter Chicken, Lamb Vindaloo, chicken Biryani, garlic naan, and some samosas. Everyone was delicious. The Lamb was tender, the chicken in the Biryani was seasoned nicely and juicy. My new go to Indian place since my regular (3rd near Chesterfield) left town. Thank you for being here, cant wait to come back.
Best indian food in North America
Masala chai was tasteless. This is a basic North Indian restaurant catered to the Western palate. Staff was not knowledgeable on the food items. Though the only item that I really enjoyed was the Tandoori chicken, that was delicious.
I visited the restaurant yesterday after looking at the reviews, ambience was pretty vibrant. I ordered Dal Makhani and Garlic naan. If you are indian and like spicy, go for extra hot Spicy, I ordered spicy and it is OK. The flavour is really different and very good. The inly thing which I didn t like is that they don t have any mocktails at all. Overall, delicious food and vibrant vibe.
Indian Fusions is hands-down the Best Butter Chicken joint. We calle them and order by phone, and the quality has been truly excellent over the past 5 years since we discovered them. The Mango Lassi is also great. Weve only noticed that the amount of chicken may have been reduced a bit (we noticed this when Covid-19 hit, and they were hurting just like everybody else in town), but they may reconsider this in the near future. Regardless, it is a great restaurant and the service is polite and fast, even for take-out orders.
Fantastic food! Been looking for a good place on the north shore and we finally found it!!! Chilli chicken, butter chicken, garlic naan, Dal Makhani, and Malai Kofta were all delicious!! Will make this a regular occurrence! Highly recommended and great delivery service as well!
I went there with my friends for lunch for the first time. We arrived at 1:40 PM, but the waiter told us that they were open till 2:30 PM and we had to order our foods quickly. Although The foods were tasty and fantastic, they had not mentioned that they always close at 2:30 till 3:30 in their google work hours. We were expecting to spend much more time there together, but we had to order and eat and leave there quickly before 2:30. I strongly recommend to include this break time in your google work hours.
Amazing food, especially palak paneer
Our go-to spot for excellent Indian in a city that has plenty of delicious choices. Clean, kind staff, lunch specials Sun-Fri are a great deal. Regular menu portions are huge and always full of flavor. Great Veggie options and the naan is always on point. Right on busy Lonsdale but lots of street parking around.
Indian Fusion offers great daily lunch specials (except Saturdays). The plate includes a meat dish, vegetables, rice, naan, raita & salad. Regarding the main menu, we tried the lamb vindaloo which,as noted by others, was indeed very spicy. In a good way. The fish masala was very flavourful and contained large chunks of fish. The malai kofta didnt knock our socks off. The restaurant has a warm, casual ambience. Service was prompt and friendly. Water glasses were refilled when necessary. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian lunch specials also offered as well as numerous vegetarian main dishes. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, a little tight though
Our go to restaurant on Upper Lonsdale. Love it!
We got take out for the kids. 3 butter chickens each had 3 small nubs of chicken! 70 dollars and not even one full chicken breast!! Tried to call to add to the order and they put me on hold and never came back!
Nice cozy restaurant, nice atmosphere.Litle noizy for dinner but in general good. Definitely will come back. Food
I moved from Vancouver to England about 5 years ago and my family and I still think about Indian Fusion all the time! Have yet to find anything that rivals it.
Unfortunately this restaurant is no longer is acceptable for me. Its overpriced for bad quality Couple years back, the food was very tasty - NOW NOW - I dont recommend it. Today my food was slightly bland - odd because I ordered Medium spice butter chicken and I was at least expecting some heat/spice to liven up my taste buds.... but it wasnt very rich or flavorful. Like an American white washed version, rather than the real flavors one would hope for when in the mood for Indian cuisine. The pakora was chunky and unappealing. And I have thrown all of it up as it did not agree with my tummy. GO TO PALKI RESTAURANT between Lonsdale & St. George off 15th.
It s ok. I ordered it wayyyy too spicy which was my fault. There was a small amount of chicken for what you pay. 30$ for butter chicken nan and rice. A bit pricey for what you get. But it wasn t terrible, I would probably try it again
I loved the passion fruit cocktail and everything else!
Good quality western indian kitchen.. we had 3 chicken dishes and 2 of them was delicious.. the 3rd wasnt my faoucrite..
Cant say enough good things about this restaurant. First the food itself is amazing. Seriously delicious. Actually the best Indian food Ive ever had! Secondly the people who work there are so wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant. Vegetarian options: Iove the vegetarian and vegan options. Everyone Ive been here with loves the food.
Ordered from here alot.. although the curries taste good it does not take away the fact that in a single dish there is approximately 10-15% of substance. We order butter chicken for the kids and every time there is only 2-4 peices of chicken in the whole dish. The customer service in regards to this has also been less than par, being placed on hold TWICE and disregarded. Unfortunately, we will not be going back. There is plenty of other delicious Indian food restaurants on the north shore.
Good place for North Indian dishes.. Most items have remained consistent over past few years, except the chicken tikka which was dry & chewy this time!
Very well done food. The Tandoori items are incredibly juicy and delicious. Tried and true place with high standards. Enjoy
The best Indian restaurant in North shore
I absolutely love their food. Never got disappointed.
Yummy Indian foods! I am no Indian food expert but I know their foods taste sooooo good! Usually order two curries and they are enough for 2x meals for 3 people. Their naan is good, too. My favorite is Goan curry. If you prefer milder curry, try any Goan!
One of the best restaurants in Vancouver Excellent quality, reasonable price, Excellent taste Recommended dishes Lamb Korma Entrée
Phenomenal food, great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back!
Not nicest romantic dinner place but food excellent for the price Vegetarian options: Palak paneer always order this Food : 5/5 |
Friendly, attentive staff. Great menu and prices. Food is excellent. Will be back!
I loooove Indian fusion. But 9/10 times we order delivery we are missing something from the order.
The good is delicious. The service is a little slow sometimes. Overall, its good!
Food was good. Servers were polite but could have been friendlier to make the experience better.
We stumbled upon this nice Indian restaurant while we were in the neighborhood. They serve very nice Indian food with very authentic Indian curries, that s special to this place. Their breads were also well baked. Will surely comeback here soon! :)
Best kitchen in North Vancouver. Best A/C also.
Have been a customer for over ten years. It never disappoints! Our favourite Indian restaurant!
Fantastic food and service!
We were rushed while others sitting at next table were left alone , we didn t even finish our appys and the waitress came and took our side plates away ( the young girl Tina working there has no table manners at all , rude and disrespectful) another waiter a guy came and just started taking our plates away while my daughter was still eating and when she addressed this she was given lame excuses Not friendly and the food was very blend Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone We felt very much we were not welcomed and we were taking too long while people sitting at next table who came before us were enjoying they meal It was suppose to be nice family dinner which got ruined
Just came by for a birthday dinner. I gotta say, this restaurant exceeds itself each time I come in. I was greeted with a warm welcome from a lovely waitress named Tina. She provided excellent service throughout our long but great night, going above and beyond by bringing us nice lukewarm room temp water per our request. I have to admit I was nervous about the food based on a rumor that the food was blend there. However once I got a taste of my chicken biryani, my flavour receptors in my brain were firing on all cylinders. BEST INDIAN FOOD IN NORTH VAN. With the food, service, and ambiance being what it is, I dont see any other restaurant getting the aforementioned statement. Love this place 10 out of 10. Thanks for making my birthday!
I get delivery at least twice a month, maybe more. The food is excellent and always hot and on time. Recommend the place all the time.
Amazing food and Lunch deal. Service was pretty bad.
The dishes were all so delicious! Yummy!
One of the very good Indian meals in the Vancouver area.
The food was so delicious. We had great lunch. Thank you guys
Food was so delicious must visit
Amazing food. Good service
Great Indian food, I grew up in the UK where eating Indian food took over from fish and chips 40 years ago. When I moved to Canada I struggled to find Indian food that hadnt been adapted for the Canadian pallet. At Indian Fusion you get real Indian food at (theres a choice) the levels of spice, and flavor intensity that I missed so much. Fantastic food, good service and all at a reasonable price!
Highly recommend eggplant bhartha, lamb vindaloo and garlic naan!!!
One extra star for the restaurant owner.. A 32 year old who has been running this place for 15 years, I love young successful hustlers.
The best Indian food in BC!
Place was packed on saturday night (good sign) when I came in for takeout. Food was incredible and authentic will be returning
Best Indian food I have had in north vancouver.
Great place.
Indian Fusion honestly has some of the best Indian food. Every time my family and I want some take-out Indian food, the first name that comes to mind is Indian Fusion. I personally live in Langley, and always make the trip out to North Vancouver just to have dinner at this restaurant. It s definitely worth checking out if you re in the area! Parking: Street Parking is available at times, if not London Drugs directly across the street always has available parking.
Ohh so satisfying.. loved it.
Hands down the best Indian food on the north shore! I have been to many other restaurants and this place consistently outshines the others. Their palak paneer is unreal. Great ambiance if deciding to dine inside.
One of the best Indian food resurants that I have eaten at in the last 40 years, Really great food.
I kid thee not, these guys make very fresh and flavorful dishes. I am familiar with Indian food, but their curries are better than perfect. Meats tender and well-prepped. Service attentive and very helpful. Loved this place. Great work.
Good food. Nice service. One of our favourites. Would be a much better place to visit if there was some art or something on the walls so it wasn t so noisy and cold. It s like sitting in a blank stale room with no ambience and you can t hear your conversation because the sound echoes off the stale, blank walls. But the food is great.
Delicious I had rice, naan, and butter chicken
We ordered dinner for take out here. The person answering the phone did not identify the name of the restaurant and was distracted and seemingly uninterested in our order. The palak paneer was tasteless and the chicken was dry. No spice level was requested by them or given in our food. Not chutneys were offered or given. Also a disappointing welcome and atmosphere while waiting to take out.
The food was very good and the service was nice!
Order online here all the time one of the best in North Van for sure
Portion is reasonable and super great flavor!
Everything was top notch! Had Dal Makhani and Shahi Paneer with Rice Pulao.
These guys have the best food and costumer service. I dont order any Indian food from anywhere else. Eight years I have been going there and they are still the best!!!
This place was absolutely amazing and possibly best Indian food i ve ever had! I got the butter chicken and it was so flavorful and delicious. Chicken just pulled apart and tons of sauce to accompany a mountain of rice. The lunch special is the best deal and you get a little bit of everything. Highly recommend if you re in the area.
Vegetarian options: Great selection of vegetarian food. Food
Its hard to find reasonably priced restaurants that serve good quality food. This is a rare find. Enjoyed the food and service. Vegetarian options: Most of the people in our group were vegetarians and they enjoyed the food. Kid-friendliness: We were a group of 6 plus a 7 month old baby with a stroller. The restaurant made good arrangements for us to sit comfortably.
We just had lunch here and the food was amazing. Everything was delicious.
Take out for 2: mains, shared a naan and portion of side and it was plenty. We had enough for a small lunch the next day. Came to $42 all in, best value food I ve had in a long time. Cannot wait to try more of the menu!
Probably the worst service I ever received at any restaurant. The waitress brought wrong salad so I refused it. Then the owner/manager came and started arguing with me saying I have to pay for it. I told him no I don t since it s a wrong salad. Later both the owner and the waitress gave me an attitude. My wife ordered rice and she never got it. My son ordered garlic naan, they forgot to bring it with the entree. It took them forever to bring it after we reminded them a few times. A group in front of us just got up from the table and left after waiting for so long for the waitress to come and take their order. Don t let the name fool you. There is nothing fusion about their food. The dishes are typical Indian dishes. Anyway Food was average. Service was the worst, ambiance was ok. Not recommend at all. Not worth the wait.
Went there today, messed up the order and instead of butter chicken, put lamb curry. Had to wait in line to get my order changed. No apology was offered for the mistake and or wasting my time. Once I picked up the food and walked to the car, realized the butter chicken was not closed properly and spilled in the paper bag and seeped thru Went back, again no apology was offered. Any other restaurant would have said sorry. And apologized. Bad management.
SUUUPER DELIII!! An exquisite journey between flavors, sensations and aromas that take you to the real world of India. The attention they give you in the place is a comfort to the soul and having the privilege of sharing this experience with people you appreciate, IS PRICELESS!!!
Rude!!!! Weak customer service I won t come back Food
The best place!!! try the curries!! they also have a good special for lunch at 9.99 that includes several options. Try it. I am vegetarian and it has lots of options for me. The best place ever. Update, we came again 6 years later and the lunch special was 13.99, still worth it!!!
Fantastic food. Very busy with TONS of take out drivers coming through. Dont sit by the front door.
Best butter chicken Ive had. Super affordable as well
Went to a hyped up Indian restaurant (Dishoom) in London UK when we were there on vacation last month. Indian fusion is way better. Awesome value.
Best Indian restaurant on the North Shore as far as were concerned. We picked up three of our favourite meals, froze them and took them camping.. best meals ever. Food
I ve been in Canada for 25 years and have been looking for curry house that most matches my memories of Indian food in the Uk. I think this place in terms of flavor hits the mark. The tandoori mix grill, chili chicken, chicken tika masala all first rate. Also the spice is spot on. You order it hot and you get it hot. My only complaint is an overly oily vindaloo but the flavor was still on point.
This is my third visit and wanted to try something new... quality as excellent as the first time, service even better! I think this is the best Indian cuisine in the district! Vegetarian options: Very nice selection with even not very common veggies such as okra!
Might be the best biryani I ve had in Vancouver.
A rip-off for sure, I ordered butter chicken and lamb to go.... each container had 4-5 small pieces of meat.... the rest was just sauce. You are not the only ones who are struggling with high prices in this economy, but at least have the decency of serving a real portion if someone paid you for that.
Very good and relatively affordable Indian cuisine.
The best Indian takeout on the north shore, bar none. The butter chicken, lamb rogan josh and samosas are always tasty in my experience, keep it up.
Food is fresh. Prices are reasonable. Nicely renovated. Steady stream of takeout and delivery. Attentive service but the steady stream of people picking up food while you are eating doesnt make you feel relaxed.
Hi, today I was very dissapointed. I waited for a lunch menu for more than half an hour even though shop was pretty empty. Another reason was I always had a lunch menu at the store and I didnt expect that for the same price you dont get a salad and jogurt as with the eat in order. The last thing was I found a HAIR in my rice.
Always good food! Order was quickly corrected and we enjoyed our meal.
Not a great experience. Service didnt really care, rice was not included with the meal, and there seemed to be an atmosphere of wanting to clear tables fast (it was only 7 pm..)
Been getting food from here for 6+ years and Ive NEVER been disappointed. Its always great and tasty. Vegetarian options: Many Veg options Parking: Its quite hard to find parking in Lonsdale Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly
Best Indian restaurant in the Northshore!
The flavours were great. There were a lot of people waiting for takeout.
I did takeout with my boyfriend and it was so delicious. We are already talking about when we want to go back! We got the lamb bombay curry and the butter chicken as well as an order of garlic naan
Great food. Fair pricing.
Some of the best Indian food I have had in North Vancouver.
Just love it! Best butter chicken, best garlic naan. Their food is seven heaven!
Absolutely recommend this one to everyone. Food is phenomenal. Staff are chill and friendly, checked our spice level requirements, and brought our dishes together for sharesies , which was perfect. Every dish we ate was top notch. Even the naan was on point. They are busy with the restaurant and the takeout orders, but when the food is this good, a) you understand why it s busy, and b) you are happy to wait. Lovely crew made us feel welcome and appreciated. We ate inside rather than the heated patio, amongst the families and friends who know that good food is to be enjoyed, shared and appreciated at one s own pace.
Very clean, and the food seats well !!!!!! I ve been there many times!!!! Every single time I felt so welcome and the food is fantastic!!! Really cozy place to have a very nice lunch! Food : 5/5
The chicken Biriyani was too bad Doesn t taste like biriyani.. it was like they fried the rice with chicken.. chicken was so dry and little burned.. Food
3 of us had the lunch special. Todays was butter chicken with rice, Dahl, raita, salad and naan. Lots of food and good, $41.00 for 3 all up.
Great food - Chicken Korma was fantastic with lots of chicken. Onion Bhajia was really great and was large. Servers were attentive, friendly and very efficient. Parking: Always challenging to find parking on Lonsdale
Had a wonderful experience, service was good and food was very delicious .
Great Indian food.
Medium hot is perfect for my taste.
