The place has a nice atmosphere, the food is delicious but a bit overpriced for the size of the portions. Im not a big eater and stayed hungry (we paid $60 for the two of us)

Local brewery centrally located next to similar establishments. Unique theme and flavor profile sets it apart from nearby locations, an acquired taste but refreshing when looking for something a bit different.

Burritos are A1, service is kind and humble! They have some bomb sours if you like those kinds of things! Also again don t sleep on the burrito. The salsa that comes with the barbacoa burrito was delightfully smokey and the seasoning on the barbacoa was nicely balanced!

Love little bar with great beer. The flights were delicious. I loved the strawberry and kiwi and the cola cherry beer.

Fun Mexican craft beer & food.

They included tip automatically without even printing it on the receipt! Receipt shows the total before tax, then the tax, then total credit and then in small print 20% tip and finally amount due which still the amout before the tip! But the actual charge includes 20% tip. Is it even legal?

Really good atmosphere and well priced drinks. This flight costed $12 excellent price for North Vancouver. Way better than my horrible dreadful experience at windfall.

Service was alright, We had to order at the counter and they brought out the food to your table. Their drinks are good. Tacos are as tasty as Agave in Regina, SK. Kind of sad that we couldnt get a burrito on a Saturday, it is only available on Monday thru Fridays. But you can get a burrito bowl, which was a bit dry. The chips, guacamole and salsa was tasty, but not never enough guacamole or salad for the dipper lovers. We sat outside with a canine friend on their deck setup on a warm day. They brought out a dish of water for the canine. Found that the deck had very little air flow because of how they have built that faces the water, but the sides are opened to get air movement.

Best brewery in North Van!

My husband went for the beer and enjoyed it. I really loved the Hobiscus Tea and the Ceviche Avocado Tostada was delicious!

Really enjoy the drinks here and the fact it s dog friendly. Nothing spectacular about the food but the drinks are worth repeating. Do you guys have an IG account? I tried tagging you in some of my posts but couldn t geotag you.

Staff, ambiance and beers are great. The food is absolutely terrible and way overpriced for the quantity and quality. Stay absolutely away from the food. Have had better burrito and nachos at 7/11. The ceviche was 95% cucumber, 5% fish. Great for a drink after or before a meal.

Update: Award-winning Salted Lime Lager is just as good...but the Paloma Grapefruit Lager is a strong contender. Excellent Happy Hour (from 2) - the burritos were delish, and they were very accommodating with food sensitivities. Yum. 2021: Nice addition to the North Van brewery row. Bit hard to find - look up for the sign! Bright and stylish on the inside with beautiful tiles theyve also tied into their branding. Good variety of beers (Salted Lime Lager is fantastic), only available in flights at the moment until their licensing is approved (Feb.21 hopefully). Serving food from Tequila Cocina up Lonsdale; eventually will also use their tequila for margaritas but thats also waiting on license approval.

Busy and lively place! We barely got a seat. The brews were excellent; I discovered a new favorite (mango tajin sour). Worth visiting again!

Best tacos on the north shore . Maybe a tie with La Tacoria but the prices are hard to beat here and the staff are all awesome. Highly recommend for a casual beer and food.

Great spot! Such interesting beers- the right mix of fruity and sour in the sours. Patio was so nice on a sunny afternoon and all of the tacos we tried (which was most of them!!) were great. My only complaint was the cheese sauce on the nachos- too think and made the nachos mushy, definitely prefer real cheese!

Beer is great! One of my favorite breweries their salted lime lager and grapefruit lager are a cant miss. Their food is kind of mid tho and could definitely improve but is good enough while drinking

Came here multiple times. The great selection of beers loved the salted lime lager, and I also loved the Roja sangria sour. The interior is very cute and lovey. I love the blue. There are some accessibility seating and outside seating. Also, there are some tasty vegetarian food options. Overall, every time Ive come here, Ive loved this brewery.

The beers were excellent, some of the best beers I ve tried in a while. They presented an excellent Mexican twist and refreshing! The food was limited to tacos and small bites however the flavors were excellent and ingredients very fresh. I can t wait to return soon.

Cool place. Friendly staff and some cool lighter style beers. A Mexican take on a craft brewery west coast style.

All i say is clean the tops of your beer vats. Loaded with dust at the top of them. While we sit and drink and admire the great facility. Dirty makes drinking a beer seem like what else are they missing. Is my beer lines and container clean? We did have tacos which were great. Loaded nice with brisket or beef. Beer was good. But out of the 4 we went to. This was less appealing due to mentioned dust. Still good. But. One thing to improve

Beer is outstanding. Cucumber mint and salted lime is like nothing I have ever tasted before. They really know how to infuse flavours. Great tacos as well. Worth the drive even if you re not on the north shore.

Of all the breweries along this street, this is absolutely my favourite. The brewer must be really talented because every time they release a new beer, it s an instant favourite. They are especially good at fruity, sour, and fresh summer beers that are crushable. Leave the car at home because you ll want to keep them coming. Also the TACOS! So good! I crave them. They re the best in Vancouver (don t tell Lucky s) The staff are friendly, the music is great and the decor makes you feel like you re on vacation. I love this place.

Great food... amazing beer... best time

This is a really good mexican themed brewery that we stumbled upon while checking out a few breweries on this strip close by the shipyards. Food was quite authentic! Burrito bowl and burritos were superb! And a very good beer selection as well as a very mexican themed interior l, felt like i was in an actual mexican restaurant in mexico! Place is popular and gets quite busy. Friendly staff that offered excellent recommendations!

As a business owner, you should know that a more sophisticated and mature way for a business owner to respond to a bad review is to apologize and thank the reviewer for expressing his or her opinion. You lack customer service skills and, unfortunately for you, have revealed much more of the character of La Cerveceria Astilleros than you realize. Good luck! MY REVIEW: Worst margarita I have ever had. Ive been to Mexico at least a dozen times, married a Mexican in Mexico City, and drank a lot of margaritas. Their margaritas are a pre-made mixture of alcohol and flavouring. The incredibly sour flavouring was so overpowering that I couldnt taste any tequila. La Cervecerias margaritas do not taste like real Mexican margaritas. An employee behind the counter stated that each of their margaritas contains 1.5 ounces of tequila. I dont believe her. My boyfriend had to buy 2 extra ounces of tequila to add to my margarita before I could taste any tequila. Worse, know that alcohol is less dense than water or other fluids, so spirits can float to the top, make a pre-made mixtures content of alcohol unmixed or inconsistent at best. Dont waste your money on their $11 margaritas!

One of the best breweries in LoLo Esplanade. Their sour beers are unique and really worth to try. Great vibe as the way they decorated interior it feels you are in Mexico. Staff are friendly. They got indoor and outdoor seating options .

Went here expecting the beer to taste like the beers Ive had in Mexico (not great) but to my surprise they were all quite good! I had a flight and all of the beers were unique and tasty.

Incredible ambience, great DJs and really nice service! We loved this place and would be back for the DJs alone, they brought some incredible energy. Got a margarita pitcher and it was made so well, strong and had a great flavor, easy to recommend. We also had the nachos and the chips & guac, both tasty. My friend was feeling a little tipsy after her drink and the staff gave us some lime to help her feel better :) Go here if youre looking for a fun bar around shipyards!

Had a great time here, beer and tacos? I m in! The beers are on the lighter side and there s a few interesting one. I ordered the pastor taco and it was the bomb! You can taste the fruitiness of the pineapple balanced by the distinct bbq taste of the meat.

Ive been several times to give them a chance, but: > Extremely soggy tacos and the tortillas are quite bad. And for the price its laughable. > Beer is sub-par at best. Their porter is the only thing I found palatable. Considering all of the very good breweries nearby, I would not bother coming here. To top it off, my wife and I came at 7:30pm (knowing they close at 9pm) and they refused service, saying they were closing because they had no customers for 3 hours... no notice outside, no apologies - just a snide, snarky attitude. Another time we came, they did last call an hour before closing with a fairly decent number of guests inside. Just seems like theyre lazy and dont want to go the extra mile - you would think the opposite since they just open. TLDR - bad beer, messy tacos, poor attitude - dont bother with so many other good options nearby.

Nice bright, friendly tasting room. Beers seem to be geared towards lighter flavours. Delicious tacos. If you like fish, do yourself a favour and get the grilled fish taco. The fish was cooked just barely through, so it was super moist, flakey, and flavourful.

Beer was great. Tacos this time were cold and soggy. Counter sales so you tip up front and get meh tacos. I ve been here a few times and today must of been an off day. Its usually good.

We so wanted to like this little spot so stopped in fir a midweek lunch. The beer was okay but the food was a huge disappointment. The complimentary guacamole was thick and tasteless, the salsa just watery. Best part was the free corn chips. To be fair we tried four different types of tacos but felt they all tasted much the same: uniformly lacking brightness, seasoning and any sort of heat. They did not even look appetizing. In the right hands a taco and beer spot would be a fabulous asset to the shipyards district. I hope we were just there on an off day.

Ordered for takeout. It was hard to find the fish in the grilled fish taco. The filling was so wet the taco wrap fell apart trying to pick it up. The guacamole and chips was missing the guacamole. Finally the churro was pretty hard and rubbery. Overcharged when I saw my statement. Staff so busy taking selfies forgot about service.

Great little honest brewery with unique very drinkable beers. The coconut pale is a delicious balanced light pale (no weird coconut flavour), the salted lime is a classic and many other great varieties. Nice clean beers. Friendly, kind staff, no pretense. Nice calm, chill decor and interior. Highly recommended.

Cute little distillery that offers Mexican-inspired beers. The salted lime lager is one of the most popular and it s really unique and delicious. The interior is bright and they have about 8 tables inside with some outside as well. Quick walk from Lonsdale Quay. They have a few varieties of tacos to try with one being vegan. A couple other snack options as well. Definitely worth checking out!

I really liked the atmosphere and interior design as it made me feel like I was in Spain. The 8 types of beer we ordered were all unique and delicious. My favourite brewery on the North Shore. Authentic Mexican aesthetic with interesting, different, & delicious beers, and the food is just as good. Going on a sunny day always makes me feel like Im on vacation. My only complaint is the location - its small, and because its the first brewery you hit upon leaving the Shipyards/Lonsdale Quay, its always busy/full. Selfishly, I wish it were bigger!

Wonderful atmosphere, relatively good beer. We loved coming here. Up until now, they also had a wonderful red wine, and they discontinued it, instead a tasteless rosé is on the menu. We think that this was the last time we frequented this joint :(

Service is neither too fast nor too slow as the friendly servers bring you your cold delicious beverage; especially if you order a flavourful taco to accompany your beverage as they are prepared from scratch with local ingredients. If the word friendly is what was used to describe the servers above, then this is an understatement. The servers are delightful, caring & excellent hosts. This is a place you will definitely enjoy if it s a boys night out too; if it s a boys AND girls night out, well, the more the merrier. Good beer, good tacos, beautiful interior design

The beer was average, albeit very expensive. $9 for a 16oz pour is getting on crazy. The food was ok but the tortillas were downright awful! Hard and dry like they were stale and an effort was made to microwave refresh them and they just got worse.

Excellent brewery to check out when in North Van! A great selection of beers, most on the lighter style which is a nice change from the usual IPA offerings. Appies are tasty as well.

Vibe is excellent.

Had 3 flights and one of each taco to share amongst my party. Honestly, any sour beer isnt sour at all. Found it pretty tasteless. Most of the lagers are subpar, though the salted lime lager was pretty good. Guava Gose is the most flavourful. The tacos are really low quality and extremely messy. When we tried to order the churros, said 30 minutes to make (its frozen). There are way better taco shops in the area, and will see if any of the other brewerys have more flavourful beer.

Love the tacos and the beer. Some refreshing, unique flavours. The in house chips and guac are some of the best Ive had.

I would go back just for the churro, but the service was impeccable as well. Many reasons to go back, we felt very taken care of by the hostess and it was her first night! Beer was good, food was awesome, and we ended the evening in the wine tasting room next door. Super fun!

This place has fantastic tacos. So Delicious!!! For beer, my husband tried a flight of IPAs and I had an assortment of lighter options that included a gose and a lager. We both thought the hibiscus one was great, and we also both really liked the lime one too. If you like beer and tacos, you have to try this place!!! We live in Squamish and are now looking for excuses to make a trip back to North Van so we can come back!

Picked up a 6 pack of the Salted Lime Lager this afternoon and it s totally amazing. My new go-to summer beer. Can t wait to go back and try their tacos (and other beers!) love the style/vibe of the whole place! 10/10. Keep rocking it.

The decor is amazing, they did a great job converting an old garage into a cool Cantina. The beer is decent and they have a nice selection that works really well for summer. The service is not great and leaves you feeling like they dont really want you there. Now the food.... If I was to say the tacos were the worst tacos Ive ever had I would not be exaggerating. What they call pastor tastes more like wet cat food and is not at all what pastor is and the chicken leaves much to be desired. I really want to love this place and I really want a good taco bar, but they really need to step up their game on the food because it is truely awful.

Decor is spot on, really want to love the spot. Beer is decent, but the taco leave a lot to be desired. I hope it was just an off day because they were dripping soggy, particularly the Al Castor but otherwise fairly bland at best. Was the meat from a can maybe? Sat for too long? Not sure, I may be back for the light central american vibe, with a passable pint but will take some convincing to venture those tacos once again.

Enjoyed a few tacos and a pint here! It s a lovely place - brightly lit, cute atmosphere and quick service. The taco fillings were generally good (enjoyed the jackfruit and the pastor); just wished the tortillas were better.

I really like the beer here, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is great! However they seem to be fairly understaffed recently, which means they sometimes don t wipe down tables on the patio. The jackfruit tacos are good, but the churros are usually quite stale (the server also put them, in bags, right on our table so they ended up touching the dirty table) and the mango ceviche on special was pretty bad. No mango at all, no lime juice, no cilantro - and the fish was very strong smelling, as if it had been in the sun. I ll come back for beers, but not for food...

AWESOME PLACE. Quality authentic food. Most Beers are above average. Epic Spanish/English speaking servers if you are lucky! Busy yes but fast and good service too. Worth the wait if there is a line up.

Not sure how this spot has scored so highly. Cute concept, fun design, and nice space. Beer, not so good - found each of their mainstays really watery and unpalatable. Tacos (which we were refunded for) were not good - lacked flavour, seasoning, and filling. Shame as the beer in concept sounds good, as does the food but execution was way off. Wouldn t return.

Interesting beers. Of the ones our group tried, we liked the mango kolsch (sp?). The tacos were good, but tiny. Our lunch was really just a small snack. The flavours were good, especially in the pork tacos. However, at $4.50 for one small taco with very little filling, we wouldnt go back for them alone. The decor is bright and fresh. Everything looks new and very clean. The person who took our order was very nice and explained some of the beer varieties. So, a great place for unique beers, but if you are hungry, you would want to eat elsewhere. We were a party of 3, and we each had 3 tacos and shared 2 orders of chips and guac, and we were all still hungry. Three beers, 9 small tacos, and 2 chips - $100. So, for cheap food, it was very expensive.

Heard a lot about this spot and tried it last night with friends. Great atmosphere, enjoyed our beer, and friendly staff. Live music which I didnt understand but enjoyed it a lot. The only drawback to me was taco price. we ordered 3 pork tacos they were good but we were really shocked how small they are for a $4.50 taco, we ended up ordering 3 more tacos, chips and guacamole which was really good and some fish tacos, I personally didnt like the strong smell of fish by my friends seems to enjoyed it.

Fantastic, charming, and chic place a few minutes walk from Lonsdale Quay. The beer was some of the best I ve had in Vancouver, especially that it was refreshing, and fruity. This was key given the heat wave. The live music was incredible. The vibe transported me to Puerto Vallarta with the blue Mexican mosaic interior design. Service was top notch. Don t miss out!

My lovely wife and I had a nice quick dinner here (sans kids). Beers we chose we both enjoyed and tacos were great. We recommend it.

Tacos and beer delicious! Salted lime beer is amazing!

Some of the beers we tried were decent (the salted lime lager and hibiscus gose were the best), but the IPA wasnt great and the coconut hazy pale ale tasted soapy. The tacos were really not good at all - the fish was dry and over-cooked, the al pastor was too sloppy, and the tuna tostada was soggy in the middle. I almost wondered if wed been given left-over tacos from the night before that had been stored in the fridge and then reheated. Beautiful space though, so hopefully they can improve.

When I first walked in to the restaurant the server never say hi or smile to us. She never told us how to order the food. We finally order the food. It was tasteless and it doesn t taste like Mexican food. We asked for lime and salt, the server never came back with the lime and salt. She never followed up how was the taste of the food. We even gave her tip and she gave us a very bad customer service, the food was horrible and we walked out with a bad experience. I do not recommend this place. It s a waste of money and time

Delicious tacos, best craft beer

Visited here for the first time today and was a little shocked to see a man (bald guy), who I assume is the manager/owner walking around freely without a mask on. At one point I saw him behind the bar eating nachos and dropping cheese, salsa and lord knows what else all over the service area. It was pretty disturbing to see especially considering the current environment. It made me feel pretty uncomfortable, especially because I work in the industry and eating behind the bar has always been frowned upon and is even more inappropriate now, that we re all dealing with a pandemic!

Very authentic Mexican interior. The tacos and beer are amazing definitely a 10 out 10. Staff are also very friendly. Is an awesome atmosphere to enjoy a beer with friends.

This place is great. The beer is fun and easy to drink and the food is fantastic.

Really good guacamole and chips! Got the coconut hazy pale ale too. Came here for the north shore craft beer week and super happy I did! Will definitely come back to try more of the beers. They have a huge selection!

Tacos, bevvies and neon lighting were on point! I give it 5 stars!
