Local, fresh, rustic and inspired by our casual west coast neighbourhood. We have been serving our friends and guests since 2004 and enjoying life in Deep Cove.
This restaurant is absolutely my new favourite from now! Firstly, my friend and I ordered the Spicy Spaghetti (with shrimp & meat) and Penne Chicken (with goat cheese), both are remarkably fantastic creations in reasonable prices! Secondly, big shout out to our server Amie! Her hospitality and cares are excellent who deserves a 10/10! WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK AND RECOMMEND FRIENDS TO COME! Keep it up Chefs!
We had brunch there before hiking. Potato was done pretty good. Crispy outside and very soft inside. I am a bit surprised this restaurant is called Bistro as it’s as big as a restaurant and served like a restaurant. The only thing is we were not asked how we would like the benny done and didn’t let us know until we had them. They are all medium so if you don’t like medium, better ask when order.
absolutely delicious! Loved the food. This was my second time here and the food did not disappoint. Our server was kind enough to accommodate us when we requested to move inside after being seated out.
So we had the beef carpaccio it was ridiculously good like they must lace it with cocoaine it was that good. We ordered another beef carpaccio after dinner it was that good. We also ordered the duck special and the scallops. They were absolutely delicious. The portion sizes could be a fraction bigger but I feel like the prices were appropriate as it's 2024 and costs of everything is high. The service was actually excellent. Super attentive to our needs and even flagged potential dietary flags in regards to any food allergies. Food and drinks all came out very quickly too. And yes there were lots of other patrons. Like I dunno if they are always this on point but they were next level for us. They have the warm patio heaters and blankets for everyone. Desserts were also delicious.
We recently spent a perfect day paddleboarding in Deep Cove, a peaceful spot with its unique geography and calm waters. After our paddling adventure, we headed to Arms Reach Bistro—a cozy gem right by the water in Deep Cove Village. We love dining on their outdoor patio, where the heaters and blankets keep things comfy. This time, we ordered the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with Crostini (so flavorful!), crispy Calamari Frito with a mild spicy marinara, and Spicy Spaghetti with Chorizo and Argentinian Prawns (a must-try!). Great portions for sharing! Overall, we had an amazing night. We highly recommend this spot after a day on the water! 📝📝 Food: 🍝🍝🍝🍝 Should Try! Service: 👩🍳👩🍳👩🍳👩🍳 Kids: 👶👶👶👶 Yay! Came here for brunch on a sunny Sunday morning and sat out on the patio. Loved the vibes and location near the water 😊 We ordered the coconut mussels to share, the Mediterranean bowl and the spicy spaghetti. This was for 2 people and definitely was a good amount, almost was too full but the food was so delicious! My favourite dish was the coconut mussels - it was 11/10!!! The sauce was so tasty and had a good coconut flavor that went well with the mussels. The fries were great with it and the portion was a good size. Would definitely come back here for mussels!!!
I tried this restaurant today with my family which was so pleasant and delicious food there. @Lisa the gorgeous and professional server there recommended us the best options on the menu, she was so friendly and warm. I loved the food and nice staff and amazing view there. Probably I’ll get back there soon!
The food, the atmosphere, the service and finally the location were all top notch. Appetizers and cocktails were delicious. The mains and coffee were all great. The level of accommodation that management provided was outstanding. I’ll make sure to come back, whenever I’m in Vancouver. Can’t wait to try their other dishes!
Ordered the carrot soup $9.00. It was very good unfortunately the serving size was not.
Popped in for a weekday night birthday dinner. Great time with friends. Lively atmosphere for a weeknight. Really attentive service and decent food. Had the duck confit. Excellent flavour packed in a smallish portion.
Great place. Food was good, but the lemonade was incredible.
Service was really good so was the food
We are so fortunate we came across this place. It is beautifully upkept, the service is attentive, and the menu options are delightful. Pair your meal with a flight of rose wine. My date and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Deep Cove together, and it was in large part due to the ambiance and environment of this gem of a restaurant!
I had dinner with my girlfriend on Nov 16th/ 2022 !! We had an excellent dining experience from the minute we entered the restaurant. Our waitress was amazing and her name was Emmajo She was very attentive, cheerful , very efficient and provided excellent service. We both were hungry and enjoyed so much the Beef Carpaccio and we each had one I ordered the Alaskan Black Cod which was so delicious and melted in my mouth !!! This meal was so amazing that my husband and I are going to enjoy the same meal tonight !! I raved so much he wants to taste it . The martini was made perfectly by bartender !! The hostess was very engaging and accommodating . I believe her name was Aimee ( may have not spelled right ?) We have enjoyed this restaurant for many years !! Consistently food and service is excellent!!! Highly recommended restaurant here in beautiful Deep Cove There was 4 of us at Arms Reach last night for dinner !! Our waitress Nicole was amazing Very attentive to our requests! My husband had the Angry Chiken for the first time and it was delicious!! I had a bite !! I had beef Carpaccio- melts in your mouth !! Two of us had Baked spaghetti- delicious!! and my girlfriend enjoyed the mussels !! We have booked again soon Highly recommend this restaurant There is limted parking due to road construction but you can find parking after 6.00pm underground and in panorama park close by !!
October 4, 2024 - my family and I are regular customers at Arms Reach and I cant write a review every time we go there, but sometimes I just have to give special thanks. I have reached my character limit and have had to delete old reviews to write this one. Tonight Hubby and I decided we wanted to go Arms Reach at the last minute - Friday night - no reservations available until 8:15. But we were hungry and couldnt wait so we took a chance and went anyway. No tables but we were offered a seat at the bar - YES thank you! In all of the years we have been going there I have never sat at the bar. We were served by Max H., who was the bartender, and I have to say that it was such an interesting experience. We have such respect for what it takes to do that job - working at lightning speed, remembering so many details while providing extraordinary service, AND delightful conversation all at the same time! Hubby and I both agreed we dont know how he was able to do that and we were so impressed! Thank you Max - it was truly a pleasure - and of course the food and drink were outstanding as usual! So glad we took a chance and had the opportunity to sit at the bar. July 11, 2023 - time for an update! Arms Reach is always a favourite place to go when we want a treat and never disappoints. I had a craving for the Penne Chicken and the fries with garlic aioli - they are the best!! Thank you to Jack and Rouen for your wonderful friendly service - you really helped to make it a special evening for us! March 12, 2020 - After a stressful and exhausting week, I knew I could count on Arms Reach for a treat. We ordered the Fried Brussels and Delicata Squash with Prawns (the Green Goddess dressing was delectable), Roasted Free Range Chicken Supreme, Spicy Spaghetti, Pasta Bambini with Alfredo Sauce, Fries with garlic aioli, and Calamari. All were delicious! The staff are all extraordinary at Arms Reach! I want to give special thanks to Mariah, who helped to make our evening very special. She is kind, compassionate, so helpful, fun and funny, and I always look forward to spending time with her. And thank you for that extra Alpina Limonata - you knew I really needed it that night ;). Update January 26, 2020 - Another wonderful dinner and delightful experience at Arms Reach Bistro! After a rather stressful day my family and I decided to treat ourselves. Thankfully on a dark and rainy Sunday night it is not as busy in Deep Cove, and we live nearby and this was exactly what we needed. Bonus that the Dine Out Vancouver menu was offered so I had the delectable 3 course meal for $35. I tend to be a creature of habit and usually order old favourites, but tonight I was inspired by Jen, our server extraordinaire, to try the Duck Confit. When she described it the look on her face told me this would be an experience to remember, and indeed it was. The flavour was succulent, the meat fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. And the Beet appetizer, while it didnt sound all that exciting, was also delectable. And how perfect to finish with the Creme Brulee! Of course I also had my favourite Seaside Lemonade, currently called the Alpine Limonata because of the mint-infused gin topped up in a tall glass with a side of soda. Hubby enjoyed Racheals Butter Chicken and my daughter had her favourite Penne Alfredo and fries (have I said that Arms Reach has the best fries - I looove the garlic aioli). And I have to thank Jen, who really made the evening - extraordinary, very attentive service and great conversation - and for inspiring me to try the Duck Confit - thanks Jen! ******** Beautiful setting, delicious food and extraordinary service! Arms Reach is a family favourite!
Amazing food and service, had a blast and enjoyed the angry chicken .
A little late review but here it is nonetheless. My husband & I had dinner here June 2024. Obviously the view is incredible. Our service was amazing, it wasnt busy at the time we went so it was nice out on the patio. We had wagyu beef carpaccio, calamari frito, coconut mussels & spicy spaghetti. My husband loved his wagyu beef carpaccio said it was really good with capers, aioli with crostini, he really enjoyed that. The calamari was crispy and very flavourful and the tomato marinara was really good as a dipping sauce. The coconut mussels (which I hadnt eaten in about 15yrs +) was wonderful, enough mussel meat in each shell, obviously that is always depending on each mussel right no one can really know till its cooked & open. The coconut curry that it was cooked in tasted amazing. We shared the spicy spaghetti split for 2 of us. So Good. I thought theyre would be just some sauce coating the pasta & the chorizo would just be a few bits here & there...No. There was a very healthy amount of chorizo, coating all the spaghetti. I cant even describe how good it was. It was a windy but sunny day there in Deep Cove, I was given a blanket to wrap around me & the outdoor heaters were turned on. I think this was the best dinner outing & food me & my husband had till date. Super nice & friendly lady serving us. This place isnt exactly average/ cheap so be warned but if you can splurge, afford or have a special day this is an excellent place. I cant wait to go here again. Highly Recommend. Vegetarian options: Check out their site for the menu. Theres vegetarian options on here, and it you want you can always ask to eliminate a meat product from a dish if you want. Parking: I parked at the back parking lot, just a short walk to the main street where restaurant is. All paved, no stairs or anything. Wheelchair accessibility: Im a wheelchair user, power wheelchair to be exact. I had no issues to get inside, onto patio. No stairs to the inside either so this is wheelchair friendly & the staff did their best to make me feel comfortable & assisted where I needed it.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere, located right by the sea, which offers stunning views. However, the service leaves much to be desired. The waitstaff seemed to be in a rush, constantly hurrying us for no apparent reason. Additionally, the mussels were quite disappointing, with very little meat inside. I wouldn t recommend this dish.
Good service but my $40 seared scallop dinner consisted of only 4 scallops so that works out to $10 per scallop!
Stopped in for some Mussels and a Paper plait. Aiden the bar tender was very attentive and friendly. The food was exquisite and the atmosphere very relaxed! Highly recommended!
Awesome food with allergy friendly options and amazing service from our server, Simone! Thanks a lot .
Food is well prepared and delicious. However, menu is tired and old, hasnt changed in many years, and is overpriced. Will not be back until menu is revamped.
A wonderful place with a French welcome and service. The boss is a true professional and the advice provided is a real added value. I recommend 200%. THANKS
A must visit in Deep Cove
I came into the restaurant with my Mom for a celebration and had the best evening! Amazing food, quick service, but our server made our night. Eva, our server, was so bright and bubbly she was making us laugh the whole time. Great people, great food, great experience:)
My family took us there for my birthday. Service was fantastic as well as the scenery. The pasta dishes and appies we had were ok, but over priced. Its a one off for us. Keeping in mind its a bistro not fine dining it gets 3-4 stars.
Good food but painfully slow service and food delivery...1.5 hours to get our meals on a week day.
Thank you for the delicious food and friendly staff. It took a while for the food to come out, but I understood it because it was a very crowded restaurant. I really enjoyed the meal :-)
My husband took me there toncelebrate my birthday loved it! Great food, great service and a beautiful view
Beautiful view with delicious food, what more can you ask for!
First of all, the food was so delicious. I had Baked spaghetti, butter chicken, and garlic baguette and they were all delicious! Baked spaghetti tasted like cheese oven spaghetti, and the garlic baguette was delicious, although not as sweet as Korean garlic bread. The seasoning is just right and I think it will probably suit the taste of Koreans.
Beautiful little spot at The Cove. Only seconds from a gorgeous picturesque view of the bay and harbour. I had the butter chicken and it was delicious. The patio has a lot of nice shady areas and when you get hit with that breeze it is divine. Bernardo was an awesome host! I recommend this place to anyone visiting or local to Vancouver.
Food was super dry, took a long time for no reason and the server was unattentive. I m never picky and never leave reviews but wow, not worth it for the price whatsoever.
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were happy and accommodating. Thanks so much.
Arms Reach Bistro has a lovely atmosphere and view!! Unfortunately, I would not recommend the baked pasta- there was minimal flavour and no meat. For $25 I was expecting more meat - this was on par with jarred sauce. The burger and fries were good! Service was ok, quite slow.
The food was beautiful and delicious, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place! My friends from Alberta and I had a wonderful time.
Very nice place to have a beer and a burger. Nice people working there too
What a great place to stop by the water. Patio area was lovely. Great service and menu.
Overpriced and overrated. The food plating is splendid, but the taste was just okay, except for the Wagyu beef capriccio, which was excellent. It took quite a while to get our food. We waited more than 30 minutes for the main dishes after the starter. The staff were kind and professional, and the view from the restaurant is amazing. Overall, it wasnt a bad experience, but I dont think I would return.
The food is good and the atmosphere is very nice, service was slow and server was a bit condescending,we had the butter chicken, penne chicken and baked spaghetti, they were good.
Best beef carpaccio in town
Excellent food, try the Houmous! Friendly and attentive service. Absolutely recommended.
Delicious food and excellent service.
By far the best dining experience and location in deep cove. Can be a bit noisy but appreciate having such a nice option. Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu, solid and tasty options at reasonable prices
Lisa F was our server, and she gave fantastic recommendations, was attentive and gave great service overall!
Best restaurant
Lovely location and atmosphere. Service was fine. Food was firmly below average. It seems like restaurants who can rely on their location to prop up the customer base become lax on food quality. I personally would not have served guests the salad with the overcooked, tasteless shrimp. And while the chorizo in the pasta was flavourful - it was the only flavour in the dry pasta. Would love to be able to enjoy this place more since we live fairly close but sadly won t be back for quite some time if ever.
Amazing food and atmosphere!! Recommend it!
Cozy space, delicious food, friendly service.
I m not sure how this place have some good reviews!! We had a terrible experience, and had to wait around 40 min for our food !!! The food was dry and cold, and the taste is pretty mediocre considering the price paid!!! There are infinity better options out there! Don t waste your time!
Lovely place, great dishes! As we want to share all the dishes, they helped us to separate the spaghetti for two people, super thoughtful.
Great service, carpacio was great but pasta was greasy, menu could use a refresh badly
Outstanding service truly one of the best experiences Ive had in British Columbia. Throughout my journey sampling restaurants across the region, the service here was exceptionally smart and impressive.
I have been coming here every time I m in Vancouver for the last 17 years. I LOVE it - from the views, to the food, to the service. Can t wait to be back soon!
Very good brunch! And great service. Our server, Eva, was amazing although it was her first day she did an amazing job! Definitely recommended for a brunch!
Very nice atmosphere
u wont be disappointed
Pet friendly ! Not waiting to get in for patio ! Great service and tasty food with amazing view . We loved it and highly recommended ! Food : 5/5
Tasty food and good service!
Try Carpaccio, it is delicious
Wonderful atmosphere, very high quality and tasty food and friendly staff. We had great time.
The lunch, my birthday lunch, at Arms Reach was a great pleasure. Looking out to the ocean while we dined was lovely and the butter chicken even better. It is a delectable dish served by the charming Simone. Many thanks. Phyllis Mary Bell Food
Always great!!!
This restaurant is perfect for date night. The food was delicous and the service was attentive. We had two kinds of their pasta and they were super tasty and good portion size.
I hadnt been to this restaurant for several years ..and was looking good to going again...I wasnt dissapointed...the evening was good all around...its obviously a very popular spot with a lot of repeat customers chatting with the servers like old friends...the food was delicious, and served in a timely manner.....the Belgian Chocolate Pate for dessert was a perfect ending !
Update* Still a great part of an evening even though the menu has been updated, darn. Enjoyed sable fish and scallop mains starting with bread and charcuterie. This was all great, however the standout of the evening was the server, depending on your point of view you will want to adopt, marry or hire. Yes, service was perfect, thank you.
We had a really rough experience at this place. Were a group of four adults plus a little one, and when we asked for a table, they squeezed us onto this tiny table that barely fits two. We noticed loads of empty tables around asked if we can push a couple together to make more space, the waitress refused our request and kept insisting the tiny table was big enough for all of us, even kept asking me if I understood her, almost like she thought I couldnt understand her or something. And here s the kicker she had no problem rearranging tables for a group of four, and they were a white group. I don t want to jump to conclusions, but it felt pretty racist.
The food is great but waited at least 1:30hours
Waited for half an hour.Terrible food.
Great food, views and service
Fantastic food service and atmosphere ! We love this restaurant and would recommend everyone to experience this fabulous gem!
The food was astounding. Friendly staff. Would definitely go back.
I went to the Arms Reach by myself for a quick dinner. I ordered their beet salad with warm goat cheese and then their hamburger with fries. Both food items were okay - Nothing to complain about but nothing special. If I were to be critical, I d say that the burger was a bit overcooked in that it was a bit dry. However, the French fries were exceptional - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Also, the service was exceptional. My server, Makyla, was attentive, super sweet, very pleasant, and beautiful. I m sure I ll be back sometime but it wouldn t be my first choice. If the sandwich had been made with fresh ground chuck that I could have at a medium temperature, that would be a great improvement.
Fantastic dining.Culinary excellence. great service.
Food was so delicious and reasonably priced. The servers and hostess were nice. The restaurant had some amazing views and had a buddy traditional atmosphere. Important to note: washrooms are located outside behind three doors (if its raining or cold wear a jacket) as well some seating is right next to a fan/AC(Thats always on).
Food was really good, service was very well done too. Unfortunately the restaurant is very loud of some reason so it is not the ideal place to take someone into a romantic date. We felt that we were getting into a bar instead of a nice restaurant which it is if you take the noise out of the consideration. Everything else was perfect though, will come back for a casual dinner date.
The waitress was discriminating. It was my wifes birthday.
Best food Best service Best of the B est!!! Food
Great little restaurant with amazing food. Well worth the hour drive it takes me to get there.
Great food in an amazing location but if you come at lunch be prepared to wait an hour for your food. We ordered the coconut mussels, chicken penne, eggs Benedict and chorizo hash and they were all amazing.
We had new years eve dinner here with two other couples. Our server was key to making our evening g great. She was always there when we needed her with a smile and a cheerful attitude. Our menu items were great. Three of us had the black Cod which was delicious. Grilled to perfection and not overdone. This is a cozy intimate location.
We went here for our last date night of 2023. Food was fantastic, as was the service. We were served by Simone and she did a really great job. You need to reserve ahead of time, maybe not always the case, but happy we did. Thank you so much for providing a great dining option in the Cove.
We had the chicken penne pasta without the chicken (vegetarian) and it turned out very nice. I ordered the spicy spaghetti with wild Argentinian prawns. One of the most flavorful pastas I ve had! Make sure you give the food a good stir!
We went twice in one weekend to the Arms Reach Bistro to celebrate my partner s birthday in late November. Everything was perfect, from food quality, value, location and service. Sunday brunch was delicious and the hollandaise was excellent. Thanks Arms Reach, you created an excellent dining experience, that I look forward to going back for.
Dec 2023 - Updated, we stopped in for lunch. Had great service. Had the butter chicken and the spicy spaghetti. Yum! Yeah we keep coming, we love this place. --- We went tonight for our anniversary dinner. I have lost count how many time we have celebrated at the Arms Reach. Dinner tonight was exceptional, the food was very flavorful and met our expectations and then some. I had the roast chicken and my lovely wife had the mussels. We had the calamari to start and each had wine. So why four stars? Well, we booked through open table and mentioned that it was our anniversary dinner and we were surprised to be seated at the table near the kitchen and the linen station even though the restaurant was not busy at all and lots of other tables were available. Maybe the reservation was not read when it was taken from openTable. Sure we could have mentioned it, but... it would have been nice to have been seated somewhere nice to start. Also would be great to have our server pay a little more attention to us as the restaurant was not full, maybe talked a little bit about what brought us in. We love this place and will be back. Just a not that the level of service is not quite on par with the food and the prices.
My mother moved from UK to Canada and was in Deep cove at first and we tried this restaurant like 14 years ago ( i know this is a review that should have been made back then!) And it was amazing hands down the best food in the area the carpaccio is unbelievably nice and the baked spaghetti is just to die for! Every trip i make to come to vancouver I make a point in going eating at this place! The food is spectacular and the wines to choose from is fantastic with the best of services! Hands down the best place to eat in the whole of the North shore! Keep up the great work!
In winter try avoid the table right by the door, as cold stream of air comes in. Apart from that, the place serves delicious food, view is wonderful and service is extremely kind Food
Cozy atmosphere and tasty food! We had really great service. The menu has a bit of everything so easy to find something to your liking.
Great place from which to enjoy Deep Cove. Small but delicious menu which never fails to deliver.
we came for dinner for our first visit on the first night of dine out. we tried one of each of the items on the dine out menu and they were all super delicious. our favorites were the Butternut Squash Bisque, Braised Beef Boneless Short Rib and the dessert was delicious. we also added on the $15 wine paring which was so nice! it was such a fun little add on, and we liked that it was 3 classes of 2oz wine instead of a full glass for each paring. this dine out experience was such a nice way to have our first visit here and we will deffinitly come back for the regular menu items! Vegetarian options: dine out includes a delicious Roasted Yam dish with Organic Black Beluga Lentils Caramelized onions, labneh, dill gremolata, crispy shallots. Parking: parking can be a little tricky for anything in deep cove but we were lucky to find a spot in the free public use lot just on the water across from the bistro
Braised Beef Short Ribs + Caesar (not shown) Salad absolutely delicious. Food, atmosphere and service never disappoints at Arms Reach Bistro
Ma fav place :)
Enjoyed the food here, loved the ambience, will visit again.
The place is great and beautiful, especially in the Summertime when you can seat on the patio. Recommended!
I always wanted to try this place because of the location and the great views they have. We didnt have a reservation for lunch so we were sitted on a table in the middle of everything I asked the hosts if she could move us to a different table but that was the only one that she had for us. I thought about leaving the restaurant cuz we just came basically for the views, luckily the server was more helpful and was able to move us to a different table, ( I think the host (lady with blue hair) needs more training, and to be more friendly as well). The mussels we really good but the short rib was a little Salty. They have good prices, but they have room for improvement
Good location and nice staff. Had the chorizo breakfast bowl which was a little underwhelming as it could have used more veggies and higher quality chorizo. The cappuccino was nice. Looked like the resultant had very high quality wines and dinner menu that would be worth checking out.
The food is delicious! Very cute setting with a great view of deep cove. Our server was super attentive as well.
We have eaten here a few times and have sat inside the restaurant. The pasta is amazing but, when we ordered it today i was VERY DISAPOINTED in the Baked Spaghetti. There was barley any sauce and the Penne Chicken was very bland. Not sure if they lack on quality and quantity for delivery orders. Will not be ordering there again
Lovely location, great food and our server was very nice. Recommend Angry Chicken
The food was okay.. not terrible, but the best ive had.
Adorable little bistro very close to the water. Service was fantastic, as were the coconut mussels. Loved the little seaside vibe of the town - will absolutely be back
Good food, good service, good atmosphere, I will be going back
Great brunch spot. Based on the quality wine list, will have to make a return trip for dinner some time.
Great view of the pier and interesting cocktails. Food is just okay. The ragu still had onion that hadnt cooked into the sauce. The scallops, not seared enough, were served on a bland mash potato gratin and paired with cashews that clashed in texture. Enjoy the view and ambience but lower your expectations for the food.
Good food with good atmosphere
We had an excellent lunch ! Thank you
Wonderful restaurant in Deep Cove. Super attentive servers, good local wine selection and delicious food. With a few vegetarian options, Arms Reach Bistro has something for everyone. The restaurant has an elegant, yet cozy atmosphere, perfect for special occasions dinning or after an afternoon stroll through Deep Cove.
Stopped by Arms Reach for a late lunch. Cosy little place inside seated by the window. Coconut mussels and frites are amazing. Probably some of the best mussels I ve had and generous portion.
The best!!! My family and I are regulars here. Service is excellent along with the food, we usually order caesar salad, coconut mussels, carpaccio and black cod! Delicious food. Can t go wrong with Arms Reach
HORRIBLE SERVICE I would give 0 stars if I can We went in at 12pm when they just opened, when we went in, the lady seated us right beside the air conditioning unit, the wind was blowing right at us, and when we wanted to change seats the lady told us everything was reserved (this was on a Monday) When our server came, we asked her if all the tables was reserved, and she said no, there was some we can choose from. So the lady at the door just lied to our faces, and made the whole experience horrible, and since we are one of the only Asian people in the restaurant, it really made us wonder if she did that because of our race which is horrible especially in Canada where there is such a diverse group of people Would not recommend
Excellent bistro in a wonderful location with beautiful view. Awesome delicious food and drinks. 100% recommended Kid-friendliness: Good options for kids and delicious non alcoholic drinks
I m not sure why the high ratings but the food was not good, the fries and garlic bread were absolutely bad. We waited for the food at least 30 min. Other than the beautiful location of this restaurant nothing seemed to change my mind to return here.
My friend told me this place has the best mussels!! So of course I had to try it out and OMG it s true!!! I ordered the mussels and replaced the side of fries with the garlic bread!!! go try it!! You won t regret! Especially if you like mussels! It s in a coconut milk based curry that is savoury and has a bit of kick to it!! It was the best after having hours on the water paddle boarding! The service is also great!
Nice little corner bistro.... with a beautiful view. We had a cozy dinner and enjoyed the food. They do not have a kids menu, but they did have kids portion size plates.
Lovely location & tasty food! I recommend the scallops and cheesecake!!!!
Super tasty! A delicious start to my adventures in deep cove
Delicious food and lots of tasty wines and beer. Nice location with great view.
Nice spot for dinner and a drink
Very good food, extremely nice location with lots of windows onto beautiful Deep Cove, Cosy atmosphere. The cauliflower starter and the penne with chicken were amazing. We found the baked spaghetti a bit bland: the sauce was good, but there were too many spaghetti for it. I only rated 4 for service because when we asked for a glass of wine when our food came (our glasses were empty) it took quite long before it came, meanwhile our food getting cold. This can happen but in fact it happened twice, on consecutive evenings. Perhaps it s my European background but I wouldn t mind at all if the food took a little longer to be served - but once you have the food you want the drink fast.
On vacation from Québec, amazing service, great food, and wine! A must visit if near deep cove.
Great food expertly served. The main street is torn up so getting parking and access to the restaurant was difficult. Supposed to be done by July 1 2023. Once thats done atmosphere will be 5 stars.
Wonderful atmosphere and service. Could be a more vegetarian friendly menu though.
Great spot for brunch, definitely recommend sitting at the patio but was a little warm as the cover doesn t fully cover the dining area
Amazing food and super attentive service! If you re looking for vegan options, they have a few plates that can be veganized!
Great spot
Its good, if youre Latin youll think its x, but its one of the best in the area, unfortunately everything lacks seasoning, but all of Canada lacks seasoning, if youre in the area and youre hungry its a good option. Wheelchair accessibility: If it has ramps
Great menu. The beef carpaccio was a highlight of the meal. There is lots of street construction but the restaurant is open.
The boys had mussels in coconut milk, they said it was excellent! Penna Chicken, Grilled Chicken Bistro Salad
Ridiculously delayed service, 92 min for the food to arrive!!! Very limited menu, the side dishes are very limited and repetitive. The appetizers are part of the main course dishes too! Rookie and young staff and inexperienced management team.
In a chilly July afternoon, we visited this snug bistro. The hostess was super attentive and all courses were delivered on a timely manner.
Cody restaurant in a stunning location with friendly staff. Food is excellent too!
Wonderful restaurant
We reserved a desk before we got there. When we got there, one of the staff told us there werent any windows tables. After a few minutes, a window table became available and we asked to sit there. We were told someone else had booked that table. As we had a reservation too, I was shocked that we didnt get that window. Apparently someone booked it with a comment while reserving. Its surprising that their website didnt mention this stupid reservation process. When I brought this stupid behavior up, funny things happened. Within three minutes, the waitress asked us three times if we were done with our food or wanted to take it out. The whole thing happened while we were eating. What a disgusting act. Also, the penne and pasta were completely uncooked and the food wasnt good in general. Terrible service and attitude. This stupid place is never recommended.
Been going to arms reach for years and it is always a great experience. The mussels are my favourite, and I have never had better ones anywhere else. They are steamed in a creamy, garlicky broth that is like no other! I have had a couple of bad batches in the past (out around 30 times ordering the mussels) but the staff is always quick to make up for it and bring me something else. Spicy spaghetti is always delicious and full of sausage! They also offer a gluten-free penne (so good you would never even know it didnt have gluten!) for those with a sensitivity/allergy. Brunch is also great, my favorite is the salmon Benedict with the mimosa flight! You can make a reservation for indoors, but the patio is first come first serve. With the incredible views of the water, it makes sense why. Dogs are also welcome on the patio. Brunch, lunch, or dinner, if you are looking for a nicer place with fresh seafood, Arms reach is the place to go! Photos are of the baked spaghetti and rose wine flight, and my family after an amazing meal for my birthday dinner! Vegetarian options: The fried cauliflower and green beans appetizer with the green goddess-like sauce is to die for! Dietary restrictions: Amazing gluten-free pasta!
On Sunday afternoon, the three of us ordered Coconut Mussels, Angry Chicken and Beef Tenderloin. Fortunately, we did not have to make a reservation and were seated indoors. All the waiters were friendly and had a nice smile. Angry chicken was my favorite. I will try other dishes if I have the chance. Mode
We had the baked spaghetti. It was enough for two people to share and was delicious. Would highly recommend.
We ve eaten here in the past and had great food & service. Today was not a good experience. We ordered the appy fries with aioli & the Burrata appt to-go for a picnic on the pier. This order took 40min to bring out on a Monday afternoon, just after 1 pm. The customer base was steady, but not crazy busy. The staff was rude when approached, and not just to us but to many of the customers waiting to enter. It was really disappointing and I was embarrassed as we made the rest of our party wait so long for us to join them beyond the promised 10min wait time for our order. While my burrata appy was delicious the French fries had the texture of old fries and the group all agreed.
This was a recommendation from out host, who is a Chef. She was right, the food was amazing! Sadly, we could have the fish as their seafood order was late, so we settled for the tagliatelle with zucchini. It was amazing! Highly recommended. Shame they dont have more vegetarian options though.
Chicken penne and coconut muscles were amazing!
Back in January of 2023, I reserved a table for my wife and I on our 10th wedding anniversary, and asked for a quiet table in the reservation. We were taken to a table right across from the bar and adjoining to a cupboard where the servers were trafficking back and forth to pick up menus. It was loud and chaotic, and not the experience I was asking for or expecting. The staff didnt greet us or acknowledge the significance of our outing which I found poor. Later an automated request for feedback was sent, and I gave the restaurant this feedback, and never heard from them. Food was fine, server was good, but this experience missed the mark, and it wouldnt have been hard to accommodate. It was memorable for the wrong reasons..
Because it was a weekend, we had to wait about an hour, but the food was delicious. The view of Deep Cove from the patio was also nice. I especially liked the spaghetti and mussel dishes. However, the food came out late and it took quite a while for the server to take interest in our table.
The worst manager and attitude ever. We asked the manager for a table after having a reservation. Don t give this place business. This is terrible service and awful person. Do not go there
Really good! Didnt blow my socks off but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Had the baked spaghetti and tagliatelle which were both delicious, server was attentive and friendly and the restaurant was quaint with a decent view of the area but not quite of the water from inside.
Best chicken I have ever had in my life!!! I never order chicken but looked interesting in the menu so i did it and OMG it was amazing! ordered some wine and a garlic baguette (sorry, no pic) everything was great! my sissy ordered a chicken tikka masala like and she loved it! they give you blankets bc it gets chilly! the view is great and the service is great too! will definitely come back and recommend to everyone!
Food
Great location, excellent service and delicious meal!
Great location and service.
What a beautiful spot. Great food, great service and an amazing view.
Good location, good food, good service
Its a bit pricey, but its delicious. If the weather isnt cold or nice, I recommend an outdoor table. The spicy pasta is generous in quantity and not spicy, and comes with minced meat and shrimp. The servers are also friendly. Please bring a reader to pay. If your dog comes with you, the servers also give water to the dogs bowl.
Great food, good service. My only suggestions would be having a house wine, and turning off the takeout phone that was constantly ringing.
Great cozy spot in the Cove. Refined menu that doesnt disappoint and great staff that is very attentive. If you plan to spend some time in Deep Cove then this is where you should end up.
I love this place! Great food, great atmosphere! The Angry Chicken is my favourite dish. The espresso crème Brûlée is amazing!
Got drinks and snacks here and needless to say, we loved it! Especially the hand cut fries:) Such cute vibes and super nice staff! Special thanks to Jack for making us feel so welcomed
Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Food
Great food but not cheap !
our first visit...would definitely come back. we took our boat over from reed point and docked at the govt marina. a little busy but we waited 10 mins and an opening came up. close walk to the restaurant and sat inside..but would recommend the patio on a nice day. it was a little warm but they moved the fan to keep us cooler. service was great...friendly server that didnt rush us. we were a party of 6; everyone enjoyed their meals that ranged from the duck, pasta and i had the steelhead which was very good.
Food ok, no AC.
Can t decide which is more perfect - the food, the views, or the atmosphere. I guess all of the above!!
Beautiful view, friendly staff, delicious food. Gluten free options!
Amazing food!! It was sooo delicious and I loved the environment and the service.
Been here twice and always enjoyed it!
1 star until you either get AC for your overly hot restaurant (I was sticking to my chair by the end of it, very uncomfortable), or offer patio reservations. We booked a day ahead and were told we could not choose a patio spot when we got there. When I expressed to the hostess that it was very hot in the back area of the restaurant and asked to move to the patio when a spot opens up, I was told they wont move people from inside to outside, she agreed that it was hot in a yup, tough s**t kind of way, and brushed me off. Not accommodating or empathetic in the slightest. Management/owners need to deal with this, especially for the prices theyre charging for decent but definitely overpriced food for the atmosphere/location... Well guess what, if the atmosphere is uncomfortable to be in, I wont pay for food I can get elsewhere for better prices and service where I dont have to sweat my face off.
Beyond anyones expectations. The menu. The exquisite service and that seabreeze on a warm afternoon ....perfection! A must ...do try the coconut mussels...fabulous.
Definitely try three steelhead. It was thr best. The staff were nice and the view was excellent. Finding parking on a sunny weekend wasnt so easy though.
Went to this restaurant for the view and it s totally worth it. Food is decent. Fish & chicken is not bad, but the mussels & coconut doesn t mix well.
Loved the food. Great service. I had lunch with my wife Parking: Parking is challenging to find. We parked in the park parking lot.
What a lovely cozy place. The food was top notch. The flavours were complementary. And they were prepared and served very fast. Many people were having pasta (maybe their famous dishes). But, the pan fried fish was also amazing. The deserts were great too. Super friendly staff and such a lovely view of Deep Cove.
Super friendly staff and a great setting. The place was really busy with. Great atmosphere and the staff run a tight ship. Only visiting from London but I would 100% come back if we come to Vancouver again
Good Food and Kindly Service
Amazing food and service. And the view of the bay is also great. It is a must to visit.
Okay food. But great service. Very nice outdoor seating area.
No complaints. Nice view and good food and friendly staff.
Very nice place, well located, efficient service, good Alaskan fish and a very pleasant setting facing the lake
Try the angry chicken. So good!
Very slow service. Crunchy pasta (past el dante). Not enjoyable meal regardless. Duck was the leg vs breast and wasn t good either. Disappointing.
I have very different experiences here it used to be alright but the last 2 times were not good . This pass weekend I went there for brunch with friends & my meal came with 1 hard egg while I asked for medium & tons of potatoes & an small chorizo ( by the way I don t think it worth $18 at all) . The server came to check on us after about 10 min I told her about the hard egg & she said she will bring another one with medium. So 20 min passed , we were also running out of coffee & finally I had to call on her for coffee & the egg that never came, she offered to bring it now but I told her it s too late & we are leaving soon. The egg is the simplest thing to make it right but also the server was not attentive. So I think both service & content of the portions are poor.
Staff was great. Super friendly and fun. Cocktails were delicious. But, on this, our most recent visit, both of our dinners were not as good as in the past. Our meals were severely lacking in flavour compared to other occasions when we have ordered the same items. Food
Another great meal at Arms Reach last Friday night. The calamari and chicken penne pasta were delicious. Our group of 4 all enjoyed their dinners. Excellent service by Aron. A place to go anytime! Food
Nice and polite service. Ambience is a little drab and kinda has that homely not restaurant feel. There was nothing unpleasant with the food, just nothing that you cant rustle up at home. Nothing stood out for us. Garlic bread isnt great and pasta a bit too oily. Portions were huge though.
We ordered Bakked spaghetti, it was terrible and tastless, we ordered alla Norma, it was acceptable, it has strong test of garlic, we ordered BC original beef burger, the burger bread was overcooked, and beef was not good, Only the restaurant atmosphere was perfect, Food
Nice & cozy, very friendly staff. Delicious food.
