I just enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal at this restaurant. It had been years since I last dined here. The food is even better than I remembered it. The service is also excellent. Attentive and quick staff. A high recommendation.

The service is really lacking. They could use training. Our food came before drinks. After dropping the food, no one came to check. We finished and stacked the empty plates to let them know we were done. To our surprise, servers walked by our table often and no one stopped to pick the plates, ask if we wanted anything! To add insult to injury, when they finally brought the bill, the server had the audacity to ask for a review. I wasnt going to review the place but he reminded to do so

Absolutely outstanding meal. There are lots of options if you are looking for Persian food on Lonsdale, but I have to say this is probably one of the best. I had the Koobideh plate and my wife had the Jujeh kabob. The food was very well seasoned and extremely tasty, which is unfortunately not always the case these days (I have been to many places recently where I am positive no one has tasted the food before it left the kitchen). It had a wonderful balance of flavours with very bright acidic high notes. The atmosphere was very pleasant on the patio with the perfect balance of shade and light on a quiet street just off from the busy bustle of Lonsdale. The most surprising part was the portion size, I have to say that too often these days when eating out, you are left feeling unsatisfied with your meal; even if it tastes great there usually isnt enough on the plate to satisfy the average appetite. This was definitely not the case here, a massive platter of kabob and rice that would fill even the hungriest eater (I should know at 62 and 300 lbs). With all of this you would expect to pay premium prices but this was one of the most reasonably priced meals out I have had in a loooong time. Eat here! You will not be disappointed trust me. Dietary restrictions: HIC certified halal here. So you can trust it. Parking: Tons of free street parking in the area and I think I saw a sign saying they have a lot in the back as well.

Foods are delicious, prices reasonable and the environment is fantastic. If you get lucky, you can enjoy their great promotions they have from time to time. I defintely go back there and is my first choice of persian cuisine. Im going to take my non-persian friends there as Im confident theyll very much enjoy it!

Great, friendly service and amazing value for the portion you receive. The kubideh tastes great. The chai tastes amazing too.

Unbelievably amazing value for money. The promotion they have running right now is something you should not miss out on. Large portions of rice and very generous size gheimeh. The koobideh is good too. The koobideh is nothing extraordinary, but $7.50 for 2 skewers of koobideh and 4 kilograms of rice is unbeatable. Whoever runs this place knows how to keep customers happy. The service is really good too. I have interacted with maybe 5-8 different people at the cash register and all of them have great attitudes. I will definitely be back for more.

Ordered take out with some friends yesterday, they served us RAW chicken kebab. It was pink inside, and there was barely any chicken in the stew either (which we didn t trust after seeing our first course come with a pink inside). Called them for a refund and the dude on the phone seemed annoyed and unconcerned with the fact we were served potentially dangerous food, it s been a full day later and we still haven t been refunded. Do not dine here!

Its a great place for family. Food quality was perfect.

After not getting food here for a long time because bad experiences with the quality of the food in the past I decided to give them another try. I ordered the fesenjoon, a dish ive ordered at many persian restaurants and is one of my favorites. What i got was the worst version of the dish ive ever had. After pushing past the oil slick on top, i discovered a sad handful of shredded chicken, the walnuts werent ground nicely like they should be and i could barely taste the pomegranate molasses. thats it. im never ordering from this place ever again.

Honest kind service, excellent Loghme/Tahchin/tahdig with ghorme and gheyme/barg , as well as clean environment are the highlights of this place. It feels like home. Sometimes we go multiple times a week.

They have improved the quality of food. I got the Vaziri plate. The beef was excellent. Chicken was good but a little dry. The rice was perfect with the crispy tahdig. The bread has room for improvement (thinner, larger with same volume of dough). The dough yogurt drink was very tasty. Staff are like and friendly. Atmosphere and Ambience is cozy now. I like it.

Very unislamic environment even if they write halal on their menu. They literally have a separate menu list of alcohol drinks that they serve!!!! Atmosphere : 1/5

Loved, loved, loved the humus. Over all the food was good. The only thing I would say that could improve was the prawns. They really over cook them to the point they go to Rubber. Even after sending them back they were still dry and chewy. They should be moist and tender. Perhaps seafood isnt really their thing. My husband really enjoyed his order although I dont recall what it was. I will go back but order something different

My boyfriend and I drove from Seattle to have some amazing Persian food in Canada! This place had high reviews so we gave them a shot! We ordered their Cazba platter for 2-3 && Gourma Subzie Koobideh was delicious made to perfection with the rice and we asked for butter because they didn t provide some. Chicken skewers was good! Steak skewers was over cooked and a bit tough. Plus the meat had cooled down extremely fast! Gourma Subzie was good decent, wasn t as tradition and there was no lemon on the plate to squeeze NO TEA REFILLS! Very not Persian of them to do! Still enjoyed our meal! They can work on customer service and a little more flavor!

Christmas dinner with family and the food was great!

Food is really really good. Waitress was good. Most of us all ordered the Saturday lunch special but when we got the bill it was not the lunch special price. They said it was because it s a holiday. Today was the 31st of December. We argued a bit but they said that is what the owner decided on. Dang they should have told us in the beginning, we wouldn t have minded if we knew and ordered something else. Was great the whole time but the end left a sour taste in the visit.

I visited Cazba in North Vancouver and was a bit disappointed with my experience. The food was decent but not particularly memorable. The service was friendly enough but the restaurant was messy, which detracted from the overall atmosphere. Prices were on the higher side for the quality of the food and service. Overall, I would give Cazba 3 stars and would only recommend it as a last resort.

The ambience was nostalgic. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ordered Cazba platter which was delicious and well priced and the Barg Kebab was one of the best! Highly recommend!

Cazba is always good, not just for the good food tastes and the good quality of ingredients but also for its distinguished personnel and their personality, and then something even more which is back to over 12 years of my knowledge of this resturant: Cazba has kept the good quality always consistent and this consistency has been always shown in providing the good service to their customers. Then when I look to the past I see its personnel always has been consisted of great and characteristic personality. when something continues for over years and decades, there should be an important reason; a good management and the good personality! When a personnel treats well and generous it means they are treated well by their management. And it is the success of consistency! Thanks Cazba!

We were returning from Capilano hungry stopped by this restaurant. We ordered Persian soup and truffled hummus which came with pita bread. The soup and hummus was very tasty. We enjoyed it. We also ordered loghmeh (lamb) jejoh, kookoo sabzi and fasenjoon (veg option). The main entrees were okay. The lamb and chicken were not juicy and little hard to eat. We loved the saffron rice and the tea. Overall good food and service.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner last night, we got the mirza ghasemi for starters, I got a veggie wrap and he got the barren. The bread for the starters and the wrap was great. My dish was good but a little dry, maybe better with a little sauce. My boyfriend enjoyed his dish but found the meet to be quite rich.

Food was delicious and was value for price of food. Servings are large. Service was great, would definitely recommend!

Golnaz welcomed us and served us with a nice smile and detail oriented matter. We had Soltani this time which was more juicy and tasty compare to last year visit. Seems they re renovating that s why saloon is small and A/C system doesn t work very well. (Jul 6th/2023) LAST YEAR: Avisa serving people perfectly. Food quality is different, I don t know if they change the chief during the week or what, generally I recommend it. Food quality and prices are competitive and the private parking is a plus Parking: There re 6 or 7 parking dedicated for this restaurant under the building, never have parking problem there, also can park on street which is kinda busy. Low key patio, great service, unbeatable prices, generous portions, and the BEST kabob. A lot of the spots on Lonsdale use filler to bind the meat but this was amazing. The koobideh and loghmeh were both amazing. I just got back from LA and this was way better than Raffi.

A restaurant with Iranian food in the heart of Vancouver. I recommend this place because the food is delicious and of good quality and the portions are very generous. Plus quality-price is excellent! The food is authentic Persian food and the truth is that I have tried this food in many countries and it is the first place that makes it so good and so homemade. Very nice staff and very good service. The only recommendation I think is that they have to improve the cleanliness and hygiene of the bathrooms, which are not very far away. Otherwise everything perfect.

Got a kobideh take out. Never seen a kobideh so gross. It is unprofessionally done (see pic), uncooked, and so small. Picture says it all. I bet they never serve such kobideh to inside dinners. Food

Long time no going there, my family went today and the food was spectacular well done and service 1A

CAZBA never failed to make us happy! This is so far the best Persian place I ve tried. The grilled meat are super fresh, juicy and flavorful, hands down the best. Another one of our favorite here is their hummus, so good! We ordered the CAZBA Royale which is a platter for 3-4 people, cost was 66CAD. Very generous serving of different kind of meat. It also comes with choice of 2 types of salad and 2 large portion of rice. We were a group of 3 and we did not even finish 1 serving of rice. Worth the price and highly recommended. We paid about 98CAD which includes the platter for 4, drinks and hummus.

The food was surprisingly good. We had a 3-4 people plater which is one of their signature meal. It s very much and tasty. Service may need to improve such as checking with the customer. But in general, it s a good place to go with families and friends.

They handed my UberEats order to someone else. Had they verified who was picking it up and for whom, this situation wouldnt have occurred.

Cazba restaurant had a stall in Lafarge Lake Park in central Coquitlam before the Persian new year in March 2022. Their food was terrible!! I wasted my time and money buying their Barbecue sandwich which only had a little bit of parsley on the barbecue, without any sides!, and also Aash (pie), but the beef barbecue was not cooked properly and was tasteless and unpalatable! Meanwhile, the cashier ladies were unfriendly and looking strange at people when handling the POES device! I dont recommend this restaurant group to anyone.

It used to be a good restaurant but not anymore. Dry kabab, rude, inexperienced staff, expensive food, small kababs and expensive appetizers. Not worth going there anymore. Many more options to choose from. Most of these people giving them 5 stars with positive comments are the staff or friends. I have never heard someone saying good things about this restaurant and staff. I once saw the owner s wife there and how disgusting she was. Rude and unprofessional and disrespectful to people. I donno who she really thinks she is. Stay away from this awful restaurant. Many more options to choose from. I also ordered food when I had corona. The delivered cold, dry kabab to my door and I found a piece of plastic inside my son s kabab. Shame on you.

Today I ordered Tahchin from Cazba and cut it to put it in the microwave. I found a big piece of glass/ sharp plastic in the middle of the food! I would never ever order from this restaurant again since I don t want to put my health under threat and put the entire thing out! Awful!

This was my first time at a Persian restaurant. I love the food, very tasty and huge portion size. One dish can easily feeds two adults. The Greek salad is not an actual Greek salad but it was ok. My lamb was great!

Foods are tasty with well sized portion. Their own baked bread is amazing specially if you try it with eggplant stew (Kashk bademjan).

My wife and I Visited this place last week and it was a very fun experience. The server did a good job in explaining to us what we were ordering. We definitely will be back. the rice portion was also very big but so worth it. Their lunch specials are great and i will highly recommend this place to people.

We were with 4 children and 7 adults and on the weekend they were really busy and we walk in to the restaurant and told them my kids are really hungry can we get a table and the server told us it will take 45 min bcuz they are pack. But he got us a table in 20 min I love there food and service....

Food was delicious. Portion was well enough. Service was on point. Definitely recommended to anyone who is more in to flavors of Kebob vs fancy presentations and no taste.

It is really disheartening to see a place that used to be really good, go off the cliff. Up until this week, I used to order take out every second week (I always get the Vaziri), as the price/quantity and taste were good. After my last 3 experiences, I will not go here again. This place was great when they first opened and I worked with their manager (Ben) to get the chicken made right (without being pink in the middle). When Ben moved to another location, I noticed the quality started going downhill, so I stopped going there. I decided to try them again this year, and it started off ok (nothing to write home about) but the rice still tasted like it was sitting in a dirty container (had that chemical/stale smell/taste to it). Again, I was going there every 2-4 weeks until my last order (earlier this week). This time the rice was way worse than every, the chicken was overcooked (dry and tough) and the kabob was also dried out and flavorless. They only gave me 1/2 as much rice as usual, which I could overlook if it wasnt un-edible! It tasted worse than ever, and with all the food being stale/chemical tasting, I am again going to stop going here, as there are other persian restaurants in North Van that are more palatable. When I called to explain the issues, the guy on the phone (dont know their names anymore cause they change every couple of weeks) said they cant say anything to the chefs as they get in trouble. So the issue seems to be from the heart of the kitchen, and when this happens, there is no turning back unless you get some chefs that actually care about the product they put out!! Its unfortunate, as I have seen this issue take down a lot of restaurants in the last 40+ years in Vancouver...

Its an ok restaurant. I personally didnt like the food but maybe Persian people will love. So if you are a Persian or you are someone who is curious about Persian foods then put this restaurant on your bucket list otherwise ignore it.

The platter we had was very filling. The meat was tender and juicy. Always love the rice. On a hot day, it could get quite stuffy. But they have outside seating.

On a mid week afternoon took one of my guys to this restaurant for a late lunch. Usually I order Soltani when going to Iranian restaurant in two cases. Either have tried and enjoyed it before at that place or is my first time there and want to check the quality of their dishes (I cook most other Iranian dishes, kababs need more planning ahead so mostly eat them when dinning). Ground meat kabab was very tiny and kind of dry then the one that I always make my judgment was a skewer of beef steak. It was very chewy and after few minutes that got very cold (the plate didnt come hot to begin with). Ive tried a skewer of Barg a day after out of fridge that was still delicious and easy to swallow even without warming up. But on the other hand I found the prices low and that must have everything to do with quality. Rice was also very sticky. All said if you look for not expensive persian food, you should be OK to go there but if youre planning to showcase Iranian food, might not be the best option

Disappointed there were no vegetarian options at the North Van location.

Their tomatoes are made so hot , as someone who goes to Persian restaurants all the time and have NEVER been burned this bad.i took a small bite and my entire mouth ceiling got burned and blistered, and my mouth became bloody. unacceptable. Never will be going there again and telling everyone I know not to go.

One of the best Persian food I ve ever had. Exceptional customer service! The guy who served our table was incredibly friendly and polite. The food was amazing as usual and the ambience was very pleasant. My family loved it and we ll come back soon! Highly recommended.

Kid-friendliness: The staff was very friendly and helpful and they helped us alot with everything It was my son s and my brother birthday however I said to them, they did the same it is my favourite Iranian restaurant but for a while I haven t been there because of bad customer service but now I am back because there service is very well the guy and the girl are very nice thanks for that.And keep it up

I ordered zereshk polo, it didnt taste good at all and it was so greasy and poorly packed that made everything dirty and greasy

Good food and service

The food is good and the pricing is alright. Though Im not really going to be coming back ever because of a rude waiter in there. I get why he snapped at me probably because of the usual busy Fridays but come on, I work a 9/5 job too so I know what it is like on a busy day. The least he could do is to treat others how he wants to be treated (the guy Im referring to is the buzzcut waiter in there). The other servers are ok. But yeah Im not gonna come back after this rude experience.

Absolutely delicious!

Nice Persian restaurant. I remember having a better experience the last time I was there. They downsized a lot since COVID it seems. The food was good, but not as tasty as in my souvenir. We were just a few people for lunch during the week... It used to be packed. Maybe the low turnover meant less freshness to the meat and cooked rice.
