Grab and Go Persian Restaurant in North Vancouver

In busy times, they dont know how to manage orders at all. We ordered two dishes and they said it would take 20 minutes. We accepted. But still after an hour they didnt give food to their customers! We canceled the order by force.

Unfortunately, during busy times, they prepare the order very late, so much so that we canceled after waiting for an hour. I suggest that you honestly tell the customer that we cannot accept your order.

The food I ordered wasn t properly sealed, and it spilled inside the bag. When I informed them, they didn t apologize or offer a replacement. Instead, they accused me of opening it myself and said it wasn t their fault.

Food is great and delicious. Perfect if you just want to eat a delicious quick meal and the staff is pretty friendly as well. There isnt room for seating as the name suggests, but the low cost and taste of food is excellent. Overall, pretty good.

I go in and say my order number4666, I am told theres no such order, I repeat, and no luck ..then another coworker jumps in to say perhaps you ordered in Coquitlam, and another tells me she needs the phone number, I go back to get my uncles cell number and then repeat it to her at counter, and then im shouted at and made fun of by two girls and told they only want the last four digits ...now Im pisssed...the staff walk away, and so I walk outside to call uncle and say can you please call again to confirm order...I walk in again and they find order...I loudly ask what was the order number she replies 4666....Im not Persian like every other customer and worker ...I felt like I was treated differently and spoken to with no sense of customer service.....this place like alot of places in lower mainland...has great food, shitty service. Unless you speak or look like them

I bought kebab koobideh from this restaurant today, and it was really excellent. However, I wish they had used Iranian rice; then you would have experienced the true taste of the kebab. The only issue was the rice, which I hope will be resolved.

Its as good as they say. Really, really good. Exactly what its supposed to be, perfectly executed. The high quality of the cucumbers is a little detail that stands out in particular.

Food quality has always been great. The manager, Mr. Abbasian, takes awesome care of customers and food quality. Kudos to the whole team

Stayed a few days in north vancouver. Almost evey day had order from this kitchen. Prices are great. Portions are too large and their food is realy delicious.

I bought one Koubide and one Chenje from this place today. Koobideh is 13 bucks, the price is not too bad but the quality was not so good, either the rice or especially kebab itself. Chengeh was 19 bucks, unfortunate to say but so dry, quite elastic and difficult to chew.

Ive ordered from Grab and Go before and was satisfied, but this time the quality and portion sizes have really dropped. The food lacked freshness and flavor. I hope they can bring the quality back to what it used to be.

Unfortunately Ive had to update my review from 5 to a 2. I havent eaten here in a while because of all the other great shops in town but my recent order a kubideh kebab was flavorless, small and the rice was insanely bad! In my order to go I received 1 tomato, no greens, no onion, Other kebab joints are much better for the same price!

Good quality and big portion!

The quality of their food is good, not excellent, but reasonable because you are paying less in comparison with the amount that you get. The reason I am giving 1 star is that there is no ventilation or air circulation as I got wet in just 5 minute that I was waiting to grab my order. I dont know how their staff can work there in such a hot environment all day along.

The food was okay but It was lacking a little bit in sides. No salad, onions, butter or saffron. Please do better.

It says they re open until 10 PM on Saturday night. We tried to order a meal at 9:25 PM, but they didn t even ask what we wanted, they just said they were no longer accepting orders. If you re going to close at 9:30, then set 9:30 as the closing time. The way they treated us made it seem like we were bothering them, as if coming in at 9:25 was a mistake. Why the frowns? Answer to the owner question : Maybe read my notes carefully if you are really sorry about my experience. No you got the wrong case. I clearly noted that they didn t even asked what I wanted. They said no more orders for tonight

I have taking food from this restaurant since last year, the food is awesome and the staff works in really fast paced environments to deliver the food as soon as possible. I recommend trying Jujeh or former sabzi; they taste amazing.

i usually order from Yass Grill House and today i came across this restaurant and wanted to check how their food tastes. So I ordered a dish and asked customer service 3 times that im in a rush, how long will it take for my order to be ready? she said 10 minutes, i waited over 15 minutes and was setting just outside the door on the bench, but they didnt call me, so i went inside and waited another few minutes, but still no reaction. i asked staff if my order was ready and there were few orders on the counter for a while ( i could see them from the window while setting outside), she checked and said yes, it is here. i told her this order was on the counter for a while and was waiting for someone to call my number, but nobody called. all she said was sorry and gave me the food. this was a very bad first impression about this restaurant. Food was ordinary too.

I ve tried almost all the meals there and really liked them all, by considering the price, Ghormesabzi, Gheyme and Koobideh are specifically great!

Food was good compare to the price! But you can find much better Persian cuisine in the same street.

Overpriced like the rest of Vancouver food scene, but not particularly special like a lot of spots are. I wish I tried the other Persian spot nearby in N Vancouver as well to compare. They dont want more than 2 people in the crowded, stuffy building at once and the way they grew impatient after we asked for 3 different items, all of which they were out of, really drove home the name Grab and go. The chicken was a little dry and the rice was fine but nothing delicious. Baklava was pretty overpriced but Im no snob for baklava, its pretty much all tasty to me. You can do a lot better in the area tbh

I was passing by nearby and it looked delicious, so I packed it up. The staff are friendly. Popular non-pro order. It took 20 minutes. Korean rice cake ribs? You can think of it as the same beef. Its a lot.

The food is good. However, they should probably let people know they should pick the yogurt they ordered from the fridge themselves. Came home with my order today only to find out the two yogurts I had ordered werent there. Edit 1: Ordered Zereshk polo BA morgh and it was not good! Wierd taste and a ton of oil floating on top.

Had an order of three: a Koobideh kebab, A chicken kebab (Joojeh kebab) and a Barberry rice with chicken (Zereshk Polow). The quality of the food was honestly disappointing, the proteins were really bland and under-seasoned and the stew of the chicken was overly reduced and extremley oily, then chichen was honestly swimming in oil. The rice was good tho. The wait time was also long , we waited nearly 30 minutes for these orders, but maybe they had a big order before us. I guess the less expensive price for the dishes can explain the mentioned problems, but I still think they can up their quality with some adjustments. Good luck to them. Parking: You can find parking but not plenty.

How does this business make money with such low prices and such high quality? They must be selling 10000 plates a day, and why wouldnt they at these prices? I wish I lived closer. Used to come here every week when I lived in North Van, but now its a rarity.

Its the first Iranian restaurant with the standard recipe and since they opened the restaurant, the quality and taste of orders never changed I ordered more than 100 times from Grab and Go for my family and, colleagues and employees And never ever headed any complain The price is affordable and quality is top notch

Ordered Kubideh Kabob from them, and got food poisoning after eating. There was no taste to the food, like eating slop. I don t know how this place manages to stay open. Zero Service Zero Quality Food. I will never go back again.

It was the worst food I had ever eaten. It had no meat and was very expensive. Its really not worth trying even once. I ordered ghee and they gave me rice and beans. No meat. I also called the restaurant, saying maybe it was a mistake, but they didnt follow up on their mistake.

The price is different from showing up

Just picked up my order of koobideh. I asked the super nice lady to separate the rice and kabobs to which they had no problem with. I have tried every kabob on lonsdale, most taste of fillers, baking soda and are too fatty but not these guys. This koobideh was as authentic as you could get. Very very pleased and would most definitely go back for me. Thank you grab n go, well done on some great food

It is a take away Persian restaurant.. the food was absolutely delicious.. we tried Jujeh kebab, Kubideh kebab and Barg.. all of them were well made and the portion of each meal was more than enough for each person.

Tonight was my first time buying food from Grab and Go, and Im sure Ill go back again! The food was delicious, ghormeh sabzi and gheimeh was very tasty and fresh! Their koobideh and vaziri were good too, and they could be a bit more tender. Staff are friendly and polite, they offer free tea while you are waiting.The restaurant looks clean and nice. Ordered for the first time on Uber eats and I was very happy with it. Excellent value and quality. I was so happy to receive a big piece of Tahdig with my Kubideh and it was so good. Very nice to see that these days, the portion and value is still there. Will be coming back for more!

Unfortunately, the kababs I received were burned. They had a blackened appearance, a tough texture. Their service was quite disappointing, the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive throughout my visit. Based on my experience I Do not recommended getting food from here!!!!!

Bang for your buck is exceptional, although I m a person who needs a sauce when it comes to rice and meat (otherwise its way too dry for me) so when I asked if there was anything available for purchase it was met with a flat no . They stood firm with the grab & go attitude I guess. Pretty disappointing level of customer service. No hot sauce, nothing

It was used to be a very good one. I have no idea why the quality is gone so low. The last two time I bought from here, you can name is anything except Chelo Kabab. It was one of the worst I have ever had. I will not go to this store anymore. Food

Ordered some kubideh. They told me 20 minutes. I showed up at 25 minutes and they told me 15 more minutes. Waited there for 20 more minutes and they told me 20 more minutes. Finally got my food 45 minutes later than they said. It was missing half of the things we ordered. Overall it was a horrible experience. Dont recommend. Edited because the food was really good. Just the rest of the experience was bad.

Honestly great food for this price.

I am systematically trying an order of koobideh from every Persian joint on Lonsdale. This one is noticeably less expensive, about 3 to 6 dollars cheaper for the same order at the rest of their competitors. The meat is delicious, very juicy, perfect amount of char, really nicely seasoned. On par with the most expensive competitors. The rice is nice, perfectly cooked, it seems that everybody gets a good size piece of crispy rice in the box. Its a takeway counter only, so I m not gonna give them any extra stars for a service or atmosphere. They just put my thing in a bag no smiles or thank yous, but I m not paying for smiles and thank yous I m paying for a pile of delicious meat and rice ;-) Bonus, they don t put raw onions and a pile of parsley that I have to pick out for my kids. Just a huge pile of rice, a couple, massive slabs of meat, a grill tomato. No frills. This is going to be my go to for take away for sure. You can t beat the value.

This is not Grab and Go. I waited 20 min, all the people in front of me (all of them are Persians) got their orders, I am still waiting. It could have been longer until I made some angry face and complained, they told me the wait time is 25 min. It is probably Grab and Go for Persian customers not for others. I am not trying to be racist here, but the experience is very bad for me at least. The food is average. I wouldn t go there again!

It was awful

Used to be one of the best kebab before. Especially koobideh. But they have changed now. They dont provide onions, kebab seasonings nor breads. Also koobideh has changed its taste too. Its not the same as it used to be. I wish they could go back to their roots

The only problem is no delivery to downtown vancouver

We placed an order and they said it s gonna be ready in 20 minutes. We came to pick it up around 40 minutes after the call and they said the order has not been saved on the system and we don t have any food for you here. But over the phone when they were talking to us, they told people to make the food but we don t know what happened here and the customer service is really bad in this case.

I ordered takeout, and when I got home and opened the container with chicken on top, an awful odor of mop water filled the room. I cautiously took a bite and it tasted like chicken cooked with mop water. To my disbelief, there was a quarter-cut raw onion and something resembling naan bread in the plastic bag. This was beyond disrespectful to customers! I threw everything in the trash. It was an unbelievable experience.

The quality of their dishes is good, and whats even better is that it comes at a very reasonable price point compared to other nearby restaurants. One of my favorite ways to enjoy their delicious cuisine is by placing a phone order for pickup. The convenience of ordering in advance and swiftly picking up my meal is a big plus for me. The friendly staff always greets me with a warm welcome and ensures I have a pleasant experience. My personal go-to choice on their menu is the Koobideh, a Persian classic, and it never disappoints. The rice is perfectly cooked, and the best part is its not overly oily, which can be a common issue at some places. The saffron-infused yellow rice on top is the cherry on the cake, adding a burst of flavor and colour.

When they have nothing to serve, they accept the order, I got a kebab which had very little rice without any butter, bread, onion & etc.

Its a very bad restaurant and their quality is really awful. It doesnt taste like quality food at all, and its not a healthy restaurant at all. One of their employees was very sick and was coming into the kitchen with a cough, and when I get there, they behave very badly.
