It must be a new ownership, I went in to have some Kale Paache after years but was served with a small portion, half of the stuff missing and one small half pache, I tried to fill myself with the half bread! Paid $30 bucks and left, 1st time in my life I had Kale Paache but wasn’t full! Please do better!
More than a restaurant, this is a little paradise. With 32 years of background, this restaurant offers some of the most legit and original Persian dishes. Not only the food and atmosphere, but also the amazing staff make you feel right at home when enjoying your favourite meals of all time. You know what I mean. When you know it, you know it.
We had kale pache, halim, and omlet they were all good, but my favorite was kale pache.
We have been eating at Kolbeh for as long as they have been open. A wonderful family restaurant. Always great eating there. We often bring home traditional Persian breakfast from there. Their prices & quality of their Halim & Kale pache is still better than others in my opinion.
When you enter the restaurant Kolbeh. It's not just an enter a restaurant. You came from another time to a very pleasant and comfortable time that called Kolbeh. we are more than welcome at Kolbeh with joy and and smile, there you see foods that you don't even think about it because the food they cooked will surprise you because all food are really beautiful and pleasant and delicious. Foods that you just think are cooked it for sale, no not at all, they were cooked for your comfort and satisfaction like a family, foods in Kolbeh are100% homemade with beautiful smells and delicious food to you for sure. It has an incredible event. you feel eating more after you finish your meal, but you feel as if you don't eat anything, your stomach is still ready for more food. There's one thing matter to me is the place where customers talk to each other and enjoy each other's conversations without knowing one another mostly. the space, an excellent atmosphere where other nations eat with joy in huts and remember the name of Iranian cuisine."kolbeh" I have never eaten before some of those food and I have experienced these foods in kolbeh restaurant and they are very, very tasty and I recommend them to all of you.Ever since I've eaten here. Kolbeh is the only place with real Iranian food with an incredible price. I love to eat only at the Kolbeh because I realize my money is worth it in Kolbeh . I also feel like I'm still in my own family because the management and best team are of Kolbeh treat us so warmly from moment to moment and they want what we need and taking care of us well, that cease we're in right pleac with our own family. it's a point that made me come and eat kolbeh every day. also i can't find a place with a lot of pleasing to eat and tastey with beautiful smell of food. The great professional team talks with customers and enjoys the nice encounter of the management with the best team all there. Today, new food was added to the list of kolbeh. It was the traditional "ghrmeh sbzi" that we all really love it. You have to come here to eat ghrmeh sbzi to find out of real ghrmeh sbzi is. I spoke with management about how come every food in menu is incredible. Is Kolbeh challenging with others ? Management responded to me that" of course we challenge with nobody, but e create challenge. Joseph s
Food was amazing here, fresh Kaleh-pache was tasty and presented nicely, you don’t really see any sheep head in the dish (which is a good thing!) nothing too fancy but decent and clean. The atmosphere is a cozy home style restaurant. Service was friendly, staff are polite and welcoming. It can get really crowded in the morning. I recommend calling ahead on busy days as they may run out of the good food if you come later in the morning.
The service was great, everyone were super friendly. We had the Persian omelette and Ash Shole Ghalamkar with Sangak bread. All super delicious. I absolutely recommend this place for a cozy breakfast/brunch.
Delicious Perisan food, easy parking at the park around the corner. The soup was fantastic, along with the meat. I don't know if I understand all the random vegetables that came with the meat, but that could be my inexperience. The server recommended the Iranian bread over the pita, and we are glad we listened! Very patient staff and pretty quick service too.
Good food
I really enjoyed Kale Pache, it was cooked exactly like we used to eat it in Iran, it was soft and delicious. Thank you for keeping the atmosphere of Iran for us.
This place is my go-to for persian breakfast, especially Halim. The restaurant itself is not the best place to have food, I prefer take out.
The food is good, but I waited 45 minutes to receive it. Very poor service. The long wait time really detracted from the dining experience. Won t come back again!
Amazing quality food, the wraps, spinach pies, and kolbeh soup are all amazing. This place is a gem. Very fresh and home made and a reasonable price
The food quality is good but it takes about 2 hours to serve the food at the weekend and it happens to us a couple times , I think management should have more staff during the rush hours The service is not good generally and the owner should take proper action
Kalbe restaurant in the heart of North Vancouver is one of the best Iranian restaurants that offers the best home-made Iranian dishes with excellent quality and warm and sincere service to customers. Kolbe Pache and Halim are special and common, and Ashele and Bandari are also signatures of Kolbe.
Extensive menu! Well probably be back to try other items
Delicious donair and lovely family atmosphere
Legends!
Come here for the aash (sholehghalamkar). That is what this place does best. Ask for a piece of sangak bread with it. Best eaten here while it s hot!
Delicious persian home made food for a very reasonable price!
Unfortunately bad experience in most of aspects .untidy, no clear detail of meals and
I ve been a loyal customer for at least 25 years and just went there again couple of days ago. Unsure if I ve ever left a review. It s probably my favourite on the North Shore for authentic Persian sandwiches but I have to mention that it s the only place whose aash ( thick Persian soup) tastes absolutely fantastic and just like home made. The Persian delicacies are second to none, tongue, cutlet or kaleh patché ( sheep s head soup) despite many bigger and fancier places that have tried and failed miserably to match the quality of Kolbeh. Family run, always welcoming with a smile. Hope they never sell the place or change how they run and prepare their goods. Salad olivier of Kolbeh must be tried. Well done Kolbeh. Never disappoints. Always excellent
They have the best Persian traditional fast food and also the breakfast kaleh pache
An Iranian restaurant with traditional Iranian food, lovely management and a clean environment with delicious food. If you want to introduce non-Iranians to traditional foods, this is a good choice.
Best kaleh pache in Vancouver
Best customer service and good quality
The owner has that rude fresh off the boat attitude.. makes your first visit your last one unfortunately!
If youre looking for the best Kale Pache in Vancouver, this place is a must-visit. The atmosphere truly makes you feel like youve stepped into Iran. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. I highly recommend it!
Very expensive. We had omelette with sangak for 18 CAD. We won t try it again.
Farid is the best. The quality of the food is amazing.
You are not unique, Mr. Farid
Farid & Atefeh are the best!
I love the foods and specially the atmosphere in kolbeh restaurant.
Very good
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooood
It is lovely place , foods are amazing, staff are so friendly, FARID and Ati is the Most Wonderful people, I go there every other day , I am the regular customer of the restaurant. It is really nice to see and try the it.
Oh my god This place is great. Food
This place is amazing! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the food is really good.
Hi, It was great experience and so much fun with the nice behaviour of staffs. I tried many different food from menu and it was tasty and delicious! Food
Very dry little quantity liver sandwich. Soggy one egg not eatable! Horrible Halim. Super expensive for the very mediocre quality. I do NOT recommend
Great food, had the kale pache and it was tasty, havent tried the rest, but the menu seems to have a great variety. Will go back again
I recently dined at Kolbeh Restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. The service was impeccable attentive, friendly, and efficient. The breakfast menu featured a perfect variety of delicious Persian dishes, including fresh sangak bread. Overall, Kolbeh exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
I dont live in Vancouver, so I only visit Kolbeh Restaurant on weekends. Despite the good quality of food and the unique Persian breakfast they offer, the service is consistently disappointing. The place is always busy, but the servers are inattentive, requiring multiple requests to receive service. Theres always a line at the front because they dont use a simple waitlist system. My last visit, this past weekend, was so frustrating that I decided not to return. While the food is good, being the sole provider of such a breakfast in Vancouver doesnt justify poor treatment of guests. They need more servers and should implement a waitlist system like other restaurants. Its not that complicated, and I dont understand why they avoid it.
It was great
Everything was absolutely amazing!!!! Farid was so nice!
The food was delicious and Farid was super nice!
I loved my meal! Service wasn t great but it was okay. Food
I love this restaurant! All of their foods taste delicious!
Best Iranian breakfast in Van
Really good food & friendly staff & great service.
Kalle Pache (Kalapch!) was very delicious and paired well with the crunchy sangak bread. The service and atmosphere was nice and all in all a good experience.
Kolbeh never misses! I usually go for the halim.
A wonderful Persian Restaurant & lovely customer courteousy Highly Recommended
Small cozy place for your specialty food experience
The best Kallehpacheh I ve ever had in Canada. Their Ash and Halim are also perfect. The best homemade restaurant in the area. Friendly staff. The fairest price in the market too.
It tasted very bad. In fact, it was so watery that it had no taste. Those who say its good here are not in the right place.
Great food and atmosphere
Best place in the world for people who like persian food
Super busy place. We were thankful to have found a table without waiting. Our halim ( ) was tasty and served quite quickly considering the full restaurant. The customer service was also great. Will come back again!
Really good food and caring owners. Will return for sure. Food
If youve ever considered trying Kalle patches, I highly recommend doing so here.
Food quality was better than expected. They were polite and friendly.
Great service, amazing food one of the best in town. Definitely recommend this place Food
Very friendly atmosphere, delicious food, professional staff. I highly recommend it.
Amazing friendly service, nostalgia Persian foods.
Amazing Bandari sandwich very friendly
this is a ghahve khaneh! love this place! Everything was good! the cashier with amazing mustache welcomed us so warmly i didnt even wanna leave! thx kolbeh Evil! Everything is great! Thank you for the great food, great mood, and purity of Iran!
Great place for Kale Pache lovers. Friendly staff and nostalgic atmosphere.
very delicious foods Kaleh Pache and Halim, and the staff, are very nice guys.
Kolbeh Restaurant truly stands out for its exceptional management and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. The team goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest leaves feeling valued and content. The food here is not just delicious; its a testament to their dedication to quality and flavor, offering a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant is remarkably warm and inviting, creating a perfect setting for both casual meals and special occasions. Its clear that at Kolbe, every detail is considered to make your dining experience memorable.
Perfect After many years away from Iran, I once again tasted the taste of an excellent Halim. Food : 5/5
I tried kalleh pacheh and sholeghalamkar ash, both were amazing! The restaurant has an old-school Iranian feel, like a cozy coffeehouse.
Tried Persian food today. Food quality and tast was top notch. Good point was the way tmanaged rush over at 9 a.m. must be a lesson for others. Very organized, polite, patient...... Chef Ramsay should come an see you guys....
Great sandwiches!
This is such a nice persian restaurant, so friendly and the taste was really amazing, highly recommended
Ive been a regular at Kolbeh for weeks now, and each visit has been an absolute delight! The staff here are incredibly friendly and always greet you with a warm smile, making you feel right at home. As for the food, its a true culinary delight! The menu offers a variety of tasty dishes that keep me coming back week after week. I highly recommend Kolbeh to anyone who appreciates a consistently excellent dining experience. Cant wait for my next visit!
Love the food Really nice people
Absolutely delicious donair. Great place to stop for a casual lunch.
We were in Kolbeh Restaurant twice in one week in one of our trips to Vancouver . It is a family restaurant with a great service. We had Kale Pache and it was the best one I have ever had in North America . I will be there again in my next trip to Vancouver. Recommended dishes , Kale Pache Halim
If you want authentic Iranian soup you should check this place out. I love the Ash Reshte (a noodle soup with beans and vegetables). They serve it with Sangak bread which is awesome! The staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. Next time I will try the sandwiches!
It is nice vintage style restaurant with great and special Iranian foods. The food is delicious and quality is great.
It was amazing.
We went there to have Ash, they didnt have it but the restaurant is not fancy at all.
Delicious food
Great Ash, persian bread, and hospitality
Good food, poor management and bad customer service.
Amazing food, specially the breakfast omelette! The place seems to be owned and run by an Iranian mother and daughter who are friendly and nice. Glad to support their business.
Tables and chairs were extremely close to each other. Service was slightly hit and miss with requests being forgotten multiple times
Delicious soups (Persian Ash) and other foods. Very friendly and personable staff. I tried their Persian Ash (Shole Ghalam Kar) and Samosas and I loved it. Definitely recommend and would go again.
A decent place if you are interested in kale pacheh with a reasonable price.
Staff was super friendly and both the food quality and portion size were good. I wish I lived closed.
Best Kale Pache!!!
Kalpacheh s taste is perfect, definitely coming back for the kalepache, the service is a bit slow though. Update: Every time I went there I really enjoyed the taste of food but the attitude of the staff surprised me every single time. The taste of Kalepache is 5, BUT the attitude of the owner ruined our day. I am not coming back, not at all. The restaurant was full like any other restaurant and we didn t have any problems waiting, we asked how long would it take, and she was extremely rude in her response. She sarcastically asked us to look around! And she was also rude to other people pointing to them and saying I have to feed this and that! No business is doing their customers favour by providing their services. Certainly a barely above average cheap restaurant like this. I eat at restaurants for pleasure not because there was something extraordinary about that place. Never going back.
I tried Ash Shole Ghalam Kar. I liked the taste. The waitress had a busy time, but she managed the customers kindly and friendly. Food : 5/5
We tried Halim and Ash Shole Ghalam Kar. They were both delicious. The price is reasonable and the lady at the front is very nice.
This place is never open even when the sign is on
Friendly customers service and the food was delicious
Rude manager! My friends and I (6 of us) headed there on Saturday morning around 10 for having breakfast but we were told there was no guarantee to have enough Kalle Pache or Halim. We said we can have our order for take out but again she said Im not sure if we can take care of that and you need to wait. After 45 minutes I just noticed she was taking care of orders of her new customers who showed up later than us but not for us. Once I asked her why youre accepting these new orders but nothing for us, she impolitely just said I said for Kalle Pache not for all the others but she was lying. Anyway, Ill never come back there but I think she needs to learn about customer service or at least she can recruit some more staff to not get out of temper on busy days!
We went out to have breakfast, but we were informed that there was no guarantee that there would be enough Kalle Pache. After waiting for 30 minutes, I noticed that the waitress was serving customers who arrived after us but not attending to our order. When I asked her about it, she replied rudely, saying that it was not her business and we should find out for ourselves. She said she would try to sort out the orders, but we received only half of our order. She also claimed to search for Kalle Pache in the pot, but it seemed like a trick to put less Kalle Pache and increase the number of orders to make more money. Additionally, the restaurant was so dirty that one could find lots of germs on the salt sprinkler. I will never return to this place.
Worst customer service!!! Rude manager, never come back here
Good luck Kale Pache is the main food of this restaurant, The place is old and it reminds you of a Kalepazi in Iran Its located on Lonsdale ave , so easy to access for those who live in North Vancouver . Nice management team, Nice owners. Good atmosphere Good luck
Been going to this place from time to time over the past 20 years. Cute family business making food with love. Food : 4/5
Traditional Persian dishes are so good, with tasty conventional flavours with authentic ingredients. The service is acceptable if you do not rush.
Great authentic food and customer service.
Very friendly staff and good food. I highly recommend this place.
Compare to places in Toronto, I generously gave this place 3 stars. The taste of KalehPache was nice but I can not even politely and fairly talk about the level of service, waiting time, cleanness and etc.
Authentic Persian food. Service is good. No problems with parking Food
Omlette not good but loved kalapch and halim
Best kaleh Pache which is a persian style cooked lamb head (tongue, brain, face meat, eye,...). Service was great as well. It also has a variety of other sandwiches and other dishes but the kale Pache here is famous.
The best in Vancouver They are very patient and kind and fast
The food was perfect and the staff are great too
I only tried their breakfast. Omelet, Kaleh Pache and Halim. The food tastes nice but the environment is dirty and you need to go and ring the bell if any minor service is required.
Great Kale Pache, cant wait to come back.
Such a lovely and cozy place to share your time with your friends and family. Delicious foods and traditional Persian cuisine.
Amazing Kale Patch!
Customer service was not satisfactory , they have not served our bread and tea , so we had to cancel our tea . Good quality was different compare to past , less quality
Very delicious food and kind staff. Thank you for the delicious food Food : 5/5
Great kalleh pacheh. Havent tried anything else here.
Super authentic place. Great Haleem. Very consistent and great quality in the last 13 years that I know them .
Best kalepache
You cant go wrong with their Kaleh Pacheh, best in town.
Friendly staff, good prices, small place
Here is the best place to test a traditional iranian breakfast and enjoy a freindly nice service. Highly recommended. Viva Abadan Food
Very cool Iranian cafe/Restaurant with nice staff and pretty quick service. Their Persian breakfasts, Haleem and Kaleh Pache are somewhat popular in the neighbourhood. Food
every thing perfect It is strongly recommended
Best spot for kaleh pache for decades. Many Iranian restaurants are now offering breakfast but they can t match the old school & authentic flavour of Kolbehs Kaleh pache. Been coming here for years and frequently in the winter seasons.
Delicious food with traditional decoration, this makes it unique place!
Too expensive for the food they serve. A dish of kale packe which is not even half a full (a tiny bit of brain, a tongue, 1 pache and 1 eye and thats all) for over $20 and thats without bread and tea
The best kale pacheh ever, a must try place in north shore
There Halim was amazing There stuff very kind and gentle I really recommend here
The owners are so nice and friendly, food was clean and tasty. Not stinky at all.
Everything was awesome about this kallepache exprience we had.
Worst place ive ever been too. Stay away Extremely dirthy place, rude customer service and subpar food with high prices
Worst restaurant I ve ever seen! Worst customer service, they don t care about customers at all, not welcoming, not taking names to have a fair queue, takes 1.5 hour to bring your food, very unorganized and RUDE! They got mad when we told them we are not satisfied with their service and not giving them tip! They forced customers to pay tip Also the food price for breakfast is waaay too high I would rate them 0!
I drove by
Yummy!
Best
Great food, just short on staff, so it takes forever to get your food, but honestly only two people takeing care of sometimes 20 people , I can say its too much. Food
You most try the Real tasting of foods in there !!!!!
We went with our family seeing a relatively high review, however the waitress was very rude,. Never will go there again.
The Kale pache was good but services are weak, especially on weekends. Busy place with just 2 staffs. You should wait for an order or payment long time
