Pretty good ramen with fair opportunities of customization, nice place to have lunch at. The only thing, I would suggest not to buy drinks there cause there is something wrong with their way of washing their cups. The water glass had something black in it, like a tiny piece of rubber or a fly. The tea cup had a layer of oil on top of my tea, potentially the washing liquid. When I asked the waiter about it they just said that they will take it away from me, meanwhile I paid for it without any replacement. But nice good ramen. I guess I just happened to be the unlucky one.

There was a lineup, as usual, the evening we were there. I reckon we waited for 20 minutes before we were seated. While waiting, you do get an order sheet to customize your order. From the type of broth, the richness of the broth, noodles to toppings and proteins. Food arrived fairly quickly. While Danbo is clearly a popular choice here, I do think it's slightly overrated. However, ramen can be subjective so this is still a good option, if you are near to a Ramen Danbo.

Great ramen located in North Vancouver. We arrived at 8:00 on a Saturday night and waiting in line about 30 minutes to get a table. While in line you can fill out your order. Once seated we had good within 5 minutes. While we are use to waiting in line for ramen we thought we’d be safe because it was later in the evening but we were wrong! Still - no regrets. It was delicious. Would definitely return.

This ramen spot is a gem, especially for vegan ramen lovers. You can personalize as you like, so each visit can be a bit different. The vegan ramen here is outstanding, with a flavorful, umami-rich broth and a vegan egg that tastes as good as it looks. In my stay I went two times and had two amazing experiences, with no line. One small caveat: when ordering the vegan combo with two toppings and gyoza, it came with a regular egg instead of the vegan one—something that could use an update on the vegan menu for clarity. But overall, this is a go-to spot for those seeking a unique, tasty vegan ramen experience.

How can I capture the taste of this Ramen in this post. The miso broth is out of this world umami and rich. The flavors are complex without being heavy handed. The noodles are perfectly thin and chewy. The chashu is delicate filling. However, what blew my mind was the Chashu Pork Danburi. Basically just wood grilled pork on rice. Don't let the simplicity fool you. The charred and smoky pork is melt in your mouth rich and too good. This should be a menu item by itself.

Danbo on North shore! No line up after 9:00pm on Saturday. Their ramen is simple everyday kinda ramen. Tonkotsu based broth with some variety such as miso and shio Reasonably priced though it will add up if you choose add-ons. Small place but with quick turn overs.

Amazing Ramen which you can customize! So flavorful, different thickness of noodles, and the gyoza were all the best! I ordered the thin which was very thin ramen noodles. My wife ordered thick noodles. They were good...a bit thicker than the usual ramen noodles but not like wide fat udon like noodles. We both got the rich broth and mine had the spicy added...which wasn't spicy really. The gyoza were amazing whether veggie or pork. The staff were all perfect and sprung to life as I yelled "Oishii Desu" while leaving. I really felt like we were back in Japan again! Till my Suica card couldn't be used to pay... The seating felt close but yet still had plenty of room to be comfortable. The service was top notch and really stands up to serving with pride and honor.

Finally, a legit ramen spot in the north shore that isn’t catering to the neighbourhood (speaking of the ramen spot besides chipotle). Simple and straight forward menu. You can customize the way you want your noodles and broth, and have the option for the red spices to be taken in or out. The prices are very reasonable.

As usual a line up and as expected am amazing ramen spot! The broth is rich and flavorful, and you can customize everything to your liking. The noodles have the perfect texture, and the chashu melts in your mouth. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it even better. Definitely a must-visit!

I love this place! The ramen is always so great and service as well. Great broth and noodles for a REALLY cheap price. It can be a bit awkward with how close you are seated next to other tables, especially if youre sitting with someone else and trying to have a conversation but (to be frank) its not too big a deal. Just a great place to grab a quick and delicious bowl of ramen.

Ordered 2xs from here. Do NOT do take out! Youre lucky if you get a cup of broth. Charged me 53cents for hot sauce and got not even 1/8th of a tsp and they left out the one they were suppose to include!!!.. will not be back! I searched top ramen places and this place popped up! If its the top vancouver sucks for ramen.

This place is fantastic!! Even when there is a line up to get in, the staff here are so dialled in, the efficiency and respectful service is top notch. The food here is great, perfect portion size, I love all pork ramen and the gyoza is to die for! I was really surprised reading other reviews because I have been here more than a handful of times and have never had anything but a great experience.

I didnt understand the hype behind Danbo ramen before but after a few years trying most of ramen restaurants in Vancouver, I gotta say Danbo knows what theyre doing. The quality is very stable. The broth is rich, and the noodles is always cooked at the perfect level. There must be a reason there are lines outside of all their locations.

My first visit tonight. I ordered to go, went there, ordered and waited for my food to be ready. I get home, and they forgot my egg I paid extra for it and only had the 1 ramen with side gyoza. Very sad to be missing crucial part of any ramen order especially on such a simple small order. Its even written on receipt and stapled to the bag. I tried calling but no one answers and says memory full

They forgot my egg on the order and no way to call or interact with them once home. Hopefully they will do better . The location on Robson is always amazing and accurate

I ordered a takeout through doordash online. It was shown that my order was ready to pick up, but my order was not in the paper bag when I arrived. They started to pack my order when I arrived. After I brought back my takeout home, I found out theres only 2 ramens inside. They forgot to put my Soy Chashu & Takana Donburi in the bag. I only want the refund for the donburi in the beginning because I didnt want to waste my time and go out when it rains. However, I called them 3 times, but no one answered. So, I have to waste 30 minutes to go back to pick up the missed dish and come back home in the rain. The ramen was good, and its soup has a smaller portion compared to other ramen restaurants, but it has rich and intense flavor. Rice is good as well, but the fried dumpling(Gyoza) is a bit dry and overcooked.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all 5/5. Even with an eight-person line, we were seated in no time. There are plenty of customization options to make your order just the way you want it. The broth and noodles were amazing. The workers were incredibly kind and enthusiastic, and our food came out quickly despite the heavy volume of customers. They seem to have a swift operation in place. So far, this spot is doing an excellent job! Keep it up

Very disappointed in this store. Rude staff, not child friendly. We went to the place and were told there will be a 20 minutes wait, no problem, i took the order sheet they gave to me and picked what we wanted to eat then gave back to the staff. During this time there was no one waiting outside except us. At this point my daughter needed a diaper change, we rushed back to the car to change her diaper and came back. We parked not closely and my toddler kid walks slowly. Its about 15 mins after we return. By this time there was a line of several people waiting outside. So they told us to start the line again. And got someone who was probably the manager to come and explain to me (both clerks had very poor English and couldnt express themselves clearly) 1. The man who may have been the manager was very rude and kept interrupting me with but during the conversation. There is no BUT, all of your excuses are after the fact, if there was a line out the door when I left I would have known that I needed to stay in line, but there was no line out the door and none of you ever tell us that! All the BUTs are excuses you guys are making for your own job failures. Even during our conversation, the other customers standing back of the line said that we should have been let in first. Yes, everyone there can tell it was obvious your problem and yet your customers are being held responsible. 2. We had already given the order sheet with what we want to order before we left, however the manager said he THOUGHTS we werent going to eat here. We never said that, so what makes you subjectively think that we are not going to eat here? 3. You guys asked us to take the sheet and order outside. So we make the order and give the sheets back to you. However, I contacted two clerks before leaving for diaper changing and none of you informed us to keep waiting outside. There was no sign outside the store stating this either. 4. We werent hanging out, we came back after changing the babys diaper immediately. Still being interrupted after we informed the fact and being asked to re-queue from the end of the line. Extremely child unfriendly. Disgusting place.

Clean your tables faster and get people standing outside seated. Why are your staff staring at tables that need to be cleaned up to get new customers seated and just walking away from it to do nothing else. There are fundamental issues here that need to be addressed for you to be successful. Whoever is responsible for front of house, start taking charge and doing your job or let someone work there who is capable of this. Staring through the window seeing somewhere you can sit at that you are not seated at is the absolute worst experience on Lonsdale. 0/5 stars right now. Complete waste of time. Do better.

My partner and I always love their noodle. However, this new branch is very disappointing. When we got to the store, there were several available seats inside, but the staff was too slow to get people seated, cleaning the table slowly, not giving people menu to fill in, and letting people stand outside to wait. On top of that, once we entered the restaurant, there is an awful smell of unwashed in the whole restaurant that we couldn t bear that ad left the restaurant without dining in. I really hope they can improve this because we do love their noodle.

The people complaining about the non-ramen items and giving this place a low star rating should maybe go to a different restaurant that specializes in those dishes.

I was a regular at the Kitsilano location for years and I must say the quality and taste is exactly the same, if not better! Very excited about this new location, couldn t recommend more! Vegetarian options: I opt for the vegan ramen simply because I don t like pork and they instead serve it with tofu. I add a regular egg to it every time, but I appreciate that they have a vegan egg option available that s just as good.

Japan portion sized, North Vancouver expensive price. You can do kaedama (add refill noodles) $2 for full portion or $1 for half portion. If you ordered chashu meat (6 pieces for $6), egg $2, the soup base and no green tea $2, water is free, after tax and tip $26+. Broth is good though, noodles and everything too, just rather pricey for ramen. I also thought the egg was gonna be marinated or seasoned like other ramen places but it was not, just a normal runny yoke 6 minute boiled egg cut in half. You can choose the broth richness, firmness of noodles, thick or thin noodles which is nice to have as options.

What a discovery a ramen spot on the North Shore! Let me tell you, you won t regret stopping by, and dont even get me started on the food. The line outside? A sure sign this place was going to be a hit. There are two other ramen joints in the area, but let s just say they re not even in the same league. The food came out fast, the flavor was spot-on, and I threw in some gyoza for good measure because why not make it a full-blown dinner experience? The staff, bless them, yell in Japanese every time someone comes or goes, which really takes me back to Japan though, to be fair, I don t understand a word of it. Still, Danbo on Lonsdale has officially become my fall/winter ramen go-to, and trust me, it should be on your list too!
