We went for Happy Hour and had a great time. Our server Brittany was fabulous. She made our evening so much fun! She also suggested the KeyLime pie which was amazing and a lovely bottle of wine. Thanks for the wonderful service! We will be back!

November 2024 My family and I love Browns at Lynn Valley! It was time for my annual checkup at Lynn Valley Optometry (see my review about them too!) and with dilated pupils and unable to drive such a great excuse to have lunch at Browns. I cant write a review for every visit but today I want to give thanks to Rene for her wonderful, friendly service, and to Diego, for going above and beyond for me with friendly, extraordinary service and helpful advice! I have so many favourite dishes there - but lately I have pushed myself to try different things instead of sticking with usual favourites. I have to mention the Seared Ahi Tuna Crunch which I enjoyed last week - the tuna is delicious and the salad alone is so delicious! Today I had The Potato Crusted Cod with Cowboy Salad, Key Lime Pie and then asked for some of the Ahi Tuna Crunch salad to go - a special treat! February 2, 2024 Had a wonderful meal with Hubby tonight - our favourite Calamari to start, Blackened Chicken Fettucine Alfredo and Baja Fish Tacos with Yam Fries. All very yummy and satisfying. The main reason for this review though is to give a special thank you to Slavka for your friendly and wonderful service, taking great care of us on a super-busy Friday night. Thank you so much!! ****************************************************************** November 22, 2023 I have been a long-time fan of Browns - love the food, atmosphere and service and the Lynn Valley location is close to home and where I worked. It had been a while but last week I had a chance to go for lunch there twice - I had an appointment at Lynn Valley Optometry on Wednesday and my pupils were dilated - a great excuse to have lunch at Browns until it was safe to drive home. I treated myself to a couple of favourites - the Crispy Calamari with extra tartar sauce (Browns has the best calamari!!) and a cup of Thai Chicken Soup. It was very busy for lunch that day but I was seated at a lovely booth and the service by Katelyn was wonderful, fast and friendly - she took very good care of me! Then I had a chance on Thursday to go for lunch with my very special friend and former coworker. When we worked together and had time to go for a special lunch we would often go to Browns at Lynn Valley to treat ourselves. When she found out I had been there the day before she offered that we could go somewhere else but I said no - this is our special place and I can have my favourite Dragon Bowl since I had the calamari and soup the day before. So we met at Browns and Im ready to order my beloved Dragon Bowl and my friend asks if I have ever tried the Kung Pao Chicken Lettuce Wraps - oooh we have to try these! So we both ordered those and now have another new favourite - so yummy! My friend and I were having a much needed visit to catch up - life can be so stressful and challenging these days - so much stuff going on in the world (just driving anywhere is stressful!). Well I have to say that we are very grateful that we chose Browns for our lunch that day because between the delicious food and the extraordinary care and service from both Sophie, James and team that we left feeling happy, positive and recharged! They were both so kind, friendly and generous - they reminded us of the good and kindness in the world. Thank you Katelyn, Sophie, James and the rest of the team at Browns Lynn Valley for a much-needed boost last week! We will be back!

This review is a long time coming. At browns prob weekly. Awesome food and the absolute best service u can ever have. We really like how they alter their happy hour menu occasionally for variety. Staff appear happy, content and are always personable. Kudos especially to Ash! Mgmt is great. I have dealt with Mgr to arrange event for upstairs area. I have dealt with bar Mgr via email to find out a brand of liquor they serve. Browns is our go to...obviously cuz weekly! Well done Browns team!

Love browns! Great food and drinks, especially at happy hour. They have two couch areas at this location which are prime spots and a nice patio thats heated in winter and exposed in the summer. Plus its all in an enclosed area so you dont have any cars rushing around you. Fantastic people watching. Very family friendly.

Quick take out service! Best hamburger ever!!

After enjoying a great play at a local theatre, my friend and I decided to have a snack and wine at Browns. Even though we somehow mixed up our order, Claire, our server, was so agreeable and helpful she straightened things up right way. Thanks to her thoughtfulness we wound up having a very pleasant evening.

After the staff noticed myself, my wife, and my mother looking after a lost child just outside the restaurant, they took it upon themselves to pay it forward, and treat us with extra special kindness. The chef came to our table to commend us, as did Connor the manager. He gave us our dessert on the house, and also made us feel like we did something special towards another human being. Aside from all that, the food was all excellent, well prepared, and the staff all super kind and helpful. We definitely recommend this restaurant for everything they have to offer, and going the extra mile to make us feel welcome.:)

I always liked this place. Last week went for lunch. I was waiting to someone help me to get a table. 3 different servers at front desk asked me how can they help. But only because I was one person and I needed to be seated in patio, no one helped me. I was watching how they are helping super quick to the groups and ignoring me. I just left and will not suggest this location to anybody. Very very poor service.

I thought I might like some fish n chips while visiting the Toronto area but they had one better: potato crusted cod with a cowboy salad. That s more my style! We ended up going twice in one day for the same meal!

Brunch menu was awesome! Cinco de mayo deal was a nice surprise and Alyssa was very friendly and quick with service. 10/10

Reservation was honoured on time. Seated promptly, attended for food and drinks promptly, and very little wait time for our meal to arrive. Food was great, service was awesome. Thanks for stepping it up and since I know from experience Browns can get busy, I will make reservations from now on. It was a very pleasant meal. Thank you.

The restaurant is very comfortable at the end of the road so you can look out of the restaurant with views from several sides. Just tried the coffee and a few snacks, everything was delicious, havent tried the food yet because it was just dinner, but one day Ill definitely come back again, this place is highly recommended because the location is very strategic in the middle of the city and tourist attractions, and dont hesitate, regarding parking, its on the side of the road and in the basement too

Excellent experience as always

Waited almost 10 minutes to get seated (lots of open tables) then waited more than 10 minutes for anyone to take our order. Multiple servers walked by our table ignoring us. After waiting all that time, we got up and left.

The foods is good but I wish they would change up their menu sometimes. Nice inside but very noisy. Hard to hear anyone you are with.

Grabbed a quick lunch on Boxing Day with my Dad. Service was impeccable and food was outstanding! A first for me trying the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and it did not disappoint! Dry ribs to share as a starter and they too were on point. Top that off with professional polite and friendly service by Cole and our meal/visit was a complete success that exceeded our expectations. Happy Holidays to the entire team! Parking: First three hours of parking are free - must register vehicle at the kiosk in the parkade to avoid being ticketed/towed. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible for their main entrance or via the parkage entrance (elevator).

The food was great, service is good but this place is a bit far out of my way. You live in North Van, should check it out.

I hosted a 60th birthday party in the upstairs lounge they have. Their team was amazing and easy to work with. It was a surprise party and the layout worked out so well to surprise the guest of honour. We hosted 60 people and everyone had lots of room for socializing and moving around and the staff were incredibly helpful and courteous. The food was fresh and delicious and well timed out so there was always something to eat. I Would easily host an event there again.

The hostess and servers are great! They made sure everything was to our liking. I m not crazy about the eggs Benedict though. The sauce was so thick on top of my egg I wanted it so soften the bun but it was hard cut through it with my knife as it was toasted. I guess it s personal preference. Ambiance is great lots of people meeting friends for New Year s Eve brunch.

Had a great expirence with the server named Cleigh. We came in with a large party, she introduced herself, quality checked and got all the bills organized with no problem! Will come back for this location again!

Small portion size especially there chicken fettuccine dish comes with small pieces of chicken barely even half a chicken breast- Earls is generous with portions full chicken breast you leave satisfied. Sadly we had to order more chicken for our fettuccine dish. It s very important to go to a restaurant that cares about giving people a good experience, and should get what you pay for their prices are high and you get small portions But the staff are friendly and helpful . I think they need better management.

Few week ago actually February 14 th i took my wife to browns for burger and drink. We did not expect anything special but McDonald and Burger King are more tastier than burger we were served that day, no taste at all , old and cold bun, thin slice of meet not much really, we are not offered salt no pepper no mayo nothing They get you in quickly and get you out quickly Beer was good and washroom was clean , that s the spotlight

I order the same item every time, the seared tuna salad. It s a little different every time but generally good.

Great menu - lots of choices. Everything Ive ever ordered from them has been delicious, and generous portions too. Our pick up orders were always ready at the requested time, always right and complete - nothing missed or forgotten. Friendly, attentive staff. Dine in experience has always been great too!

Great variety of food, Ive liked everything I have tried, Some more than others. I really enjoyed the chicken quesadilla (not a dish I usually eat out). Atmosphere and staff are great as well!

The service was average, no problems there. But the beef dip... I have had many beef dips from various restaurants as its my favorite pub food, even had one from a browns in Victoria, but the one I had these evening was EXTREMELY disappointing. The beef was cold, the bread was stale, the, I assume, cheese sauce tastes expired. I only finished the dip because I havent yet had eaten due to working all day, and to have that, horrible. The fries were great but that dip... just awful..and for $24 ? Never again. I am thankful the server took it off the bill, but I can say I will never order that item again and cannot recomend it sadly.

Service was excellent, but the food was meh.

The food was good. But the service could be better, honestly. The family and I came here. The waitress wasnt rude, but she wasnt very responsive. She was mainly talking to the other of her employees, distracted, when we were trying to get the cheque and the machine. My brother had to physically come over to the counter and remind them, ask them for the bill since she was busy talking and laughing with the others. Left my mother in a bad mood after, even despite how good the food was.

OK for the limits of Lyn Valley, food was not hot, sent one plate back, still charged for it... service was good..or better than the food

The food was very good and filling, and really enjoyed their new summer drinks! Their carrot cake dessert is also ! All the servers who dropped by the table were very friendly and helpful. This location was a great place to chill out and eat with friends after a hike. Would come again!

The lunch service atmosphere was good, I ordered a black chicken bowl, and for $18.00 plus tax, I was very disappointed. It was one 1 1/2 cups white rice, two tiny pieces of chicken, 2-small chunks of avocado, around ten sliced nacho chips, with a tasteless 1/2 cup of mixed beans and other things.

We live in Lynn Valley and it s our go to place . We had some friends who came from Richmond and we brought them over for dinner. First disappointment was that our favourite calamari was all done for the day . Then we asked to turn the fire pit on 4 times. Even my 5 year old daughter kept asking her. All our food was on the table and we never had any cutleries to eat then with so we started using our hands of course. I had to walk in and ask for some. We were done eating still no fire yet. One lady said she is looking for a manager to turn it on. Later another lady comes and says sorry we can t find out BBQ lighter. I mean seriously? It was super embarrassing for me because I promised my friends that this is our fav fam restaurant but not any more. Thank you but you lost a regular customer.

Our first visit to Browns was outstanding. The ambiance on the patio was great, food was excellent, and service outstanding. Our server (unfortunately I didnt get her name, but the bill says name 903)went above and beyond, offering suggestions, was very friendly and outgoing and service was prompt. Note: I had no issue with my server. She was great. I visited Browns Lynn Valley last night and ordered the Blackened Chicken Cowboy Salad. I must say I was quite disappointed. It consisted of some very tough cabbage leaves, a couple of kale shreds and perhaps one lettuce leaf. One or two grape tomatoes cut in half (and not fully ripe) and perhaps one walnut chopped into tiny bits (settled on the bottom). The chicken breast was not even a full half split breast. Perhaps one quarter of a breast. And all that for $21.50. I remember when I ordered the same salad pre-COVID, I got a large LETTUCE salad full of dates and candied pecans with a normal piece of chicken. Perhaps new, cheap ownership? New chef? Not sure...but not worth it. PS Do people actually enjoy loud heavy metal music during a meal? Maybe that was just staff choosing music on a Sunday night?

We always feel welcome and have good food at Browns. It is a consistent experience. We had lunch there 2 days ago and I must say, Kali went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, provide an exceptional experience and elevated service. Our server was excellent as well. Ordered the Chicken sandwich with the lettuce bun. It was the best fried chicken sandwich Ive ever had.

They took the butter chicken off the menu. Just as it s getting cooler out! We came for that as it was decent curry nearby. We d prefer not to drive for a curry, so please bring it back.

Fast and efficient service, very helpful staff! Only did takeout but looked like warm and fun atmosphere. Great portion sizes and very fresh.

Excellent for large groups, even 20+ people. Responsive communication during reservation, no minimum spend was much appreciated (even had access to social hour menu). Efficient service, food was reasonably good and came quickly, enough options to please everybody. Automatic 18% gratuity for large groups was clearly stated in advance and when paying, we appreciated the warning to not accidentally tip again.

Ordered through the Brown Lynn Valley website for delivery. At no point during the process do they disclose that the delivery is through Skip the dishes. We found out it was through Skip after the order was confirmed and we received an email from Xdine . There was an issue with the delivery address so we called the restaurant. The restaurant said they couldn t do anything to fix it, and we had to contact Skip. But ordering through the Brown website doesn t enable any of the functionality of the Skip app and it wasn t tied to our account. We couldn t contact the driver or use our account to communicate with Skip about the specific order and the delivery address. The driver contacted us after he left our food at some random address in West Van. We hope someone hungry found a free dinner. Easy solution we won t be ordering from Brown again. Plenty of other pubs have better online ordering systems in place and much better customer service. There s absolutely no benefit to ordering delivery through the Brown website. Just use your Skip account so you can troubleshoot with Skip directly (and not lose your money and never get your food because Brown will do nothing to help).

I go in have 2 beers friend has a beer I get charged 13.50 for 2 friend gets 1 4.75..tell my server she gives me back 4 dollars ..watch your tab..not the 1st time..how does 4 dollars change add up when owed 4.75..not impressed

We had burgers. They were good but the buns were cold. The waiters were nice but service was really long even if the place was not crowded. Too bad cause it could be a nice place. Well give it a try another time Food : 3/5
