Met a friend here for a drink, and had an awesome time! I ordered a Fat Tug and was super happy to see it on tap at this location! They have a number of rotating taps, so some nice brews to choose from! Excellent service!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Social Browns House on sunday August 11th at around 1:45AM. I arrived with my service dog, which is essential for my daily functioning due to my disability. Unfortunately, the experience was far from welcoming. Jay, the Food and Beverage Manager, approached me in a very unprofessional and rude manner, questioning the validity of my service dog. He demanded to see proof or identification, which is not only inappropriate but also against the law in British Columbia. It was clear that he lacked proper training or understanding of the rights of individuals with service animals under the Guide Dog and Service Dog Act. The way I was treated was not only disrespectful but also humiliating. As someone who relies on a service dog, I expect to be treated with the same dignity and respect as any other patron. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. The lack of awareness and professionalism displayed by Jay made what should have been a pleasant dining experience into a stressful and uncomfortable one. I urge the management of Social Browns House to properly educate their staff on the legal rights of individuals with service dogs to prevent such incidents in the future. I hope no one else has to endure the same treatment I did.

Steak fritz served not to order after specifically telling server also changed order to French dip and received no dip. It needs to be much better if I ever decide to go again

Food and service were great. The level of loud, aggressive music in the place was close to abusive! Our group would have stayed longer and had dessert and spent more money, but decided to run away because of the ridiculously loud music. And a couple of servers themselves agreed that the music noise was unbearable. The worst ever atmosphere at a Browns weve ever experienced by far!

Small, intimate, and cozy. A perfect neighborhood pub Parking: Youre lucky if you can find parking on Lonsdale. Hence, it is difficult to find parking in the surrounding neighborhood thats a short walk to Browns.

went on a date a couple days ago with my boyfriend after our usual spot was busy and it was great! our server was a woman named Riley and she was amazing and the food was just as good! we usually go to the lower lonsdale location but our experience may have swung us!

I have been going to Browns for many many years but the last couple of times I have been disappointed Was there on Saturday the service was really good the staff were great as they always are . I got the Cowboy Salad and was asked if I would like to add some avocado for a added cost . So I said yes thinking it maybe an extra $ I got my salad it was quite dry so asked for more dressing was told there maybe an added cost also there were maybe four little squares of Avocado in the salad . The bill came and they charged me $3.50 for the Avocado what a bloody joke . I got 3 Avocados form save on later that day for $5.00 . It will be the last time I go to Browns it is a shame because I use to love going there and knowing your food would be good ,not anymore I have no problem with the staff or the service.

Im craving Cowboy Salad.....it was delicious - as always. To go order - had puppy in tow. :) Its my go to - but once in a while I give in and have a burger - their Hollywood Burger is also ....and the Dragon Bowl.....

I ordered from this place through Skip - they called a few minutes later and said they have already scheduled a driver to pick up the food but they cant make one of the items work in that time. I told them it was alright and they can just refund the item no problems. Received the rest of the order but they never proceeded with the refund, i called them TWICE they said they will process the refund through skip but 2 days later they never did. I had to initiate the refund myself. TERRIBLE management.

My experience at this browns varied, I will say that my server, (Aurora I believe) really made my time spectacular. I had a few issues (not her fault, and her dedication and professionalism really reflected well and made my experience 10000x better. Thank you!!

This has become my go to spot for me and my girlfriend to grab dinner and drinks. The service is always good and the food is delicious. Big shout out to Gavin, we come in often and he is always super happy and positive , his service is second to none , he always makes sure we have a good time.

I come here all the time with my kids and with friends. Its smaller but a solid choice in the neighborhood and the staff are all so nice. We usually go for steaks but they have been sold out sometimes in 2022/2023 but aside from that we love this Browns.

Drinks were great, Moscow mule in particular was great..food was good except for the lettuce wraps, very little chicken and chicken was pretty plain and bland.

Got a burger, meat was overcooked, and overall burger was not very flavourful.

I havent had a bad experience here. Always friendly helpful staff, delicious food that can be catered to my dietary requirements, and I love the ambiance. Especially sitting at the bar - the gentleman who bartends has a great memory and makes the experience top notch. Highly recommend the fish and chips, they are nice and light in breading and arent soaked with oil like most places.

Yummy food

Thats one of my favourite place in North Vancouver which we can hang over with our friends. Regarding to their space it seems to be more comfortable and enjoyable for friends or couple not big family. I had veggie sushi roll as well as cowboy Salad which was so declicouse. I also recommend the white wine and beer there. You have to notice that I were there during the week and they didnt ask me to show my Id however some cafe bars will do that during the week as well. But I am not sure how would it be at the weekend

I ordered a smoked house burger, I think they meant burnt so it s kinda smoky. Meat was dry as hell , burnt buns, tasteless meat (no salt) .it was my first and last order ever. They charge me 30$ for a horrible burger.

Sent the fries back because they weren t properly cooked. The waitress came back with new fries , still undercooked, and informed me that the reason that the fries weren t crispy was because of the fact that they had changed the oil to new oil. That s an embarrassing excuse for not understanding how cooking oil reacts with food. Oil that is too fresh can t penetrate the barrier of moisture that surrounds food as it fries. HINT: Save some used oil to mix with the fresh oil the next time you fry, I guess being the award winning chefs that they are, they couldn t have possibly screwed up. It have must been my fault for not wanting pale, soggy fries.

I had the Quesadas with fries the Quesadas where very greasy and the fries where over cooked limp and greasy I have been going to this location for many years and I have to say the food is not like it use to be . The staff where very good no complaints there . May think again before going back

Got the butcher burger and yam fries with the brownie for desert. Brownie was warm but tasted extremely sweet so it s not worth 12$ to me highly recommended to NOT buy it , butcher burger was perfect but yam fries were not cooked fully and sauce it came with was not good as well very runny / thin and too spicy for a sauce with yam fries. Staff here were amazing happy with my burger but not happy with brownie and yam fries especially for the higher price for this place. Just get the burgers and maybe a drink if you go here I question the quality and value of everything else here .

Great food a bit pricey but we still went back the next day

We were a family of 9 and stopped in on travel s from Vancouver island Having that size of a groups can be hard and our groups was 4 kids and 1 7 month old. The server (we can t put her name) that we had was absolutely amazing. She was very attentive to all of us and also to the kids. Our food was making but the service was above of beyond. Shout out her her!!!!

We enjoyed our food and drinks, though they werent extraordinary. What truly made our visit enjoyable and memorable was the service. All the servers were exceptionally nice, friendly, and attentive. I cant remember the last time I received such outstanding service. This is now my new favorite place.

Great food.TERRIBLE SERVICE.. server never around to take order no matter when we come in. Waited 15 minutes to order then we had to leave cash after waiting 15 minutes for cheque then accosted because server never checked table to find money and generous tip.

My brother ordered dinner for the fam tonight and I got the dynamite roll and salad combo (ordered through skip) And I am beyond disappointed. With prices rising I expect quality to rise with it. My sushi lacked the spicy sauce usually drizzled on top of it and the shrimp sizes inside varied. Some were so small all I tasted was dry rice and the salad! I expect crispy croutons but these ones were soft. Like they cut the pieces but didn t bother to toast them. I should have taken pictures but didn t think to. I took the shrimp out of the sushi and ate it plain then threw out the rest This isn t the first time we ve ordered from here with the quality being subpar. Instead of a refund, last time it was store credit. I don t want store credit as I will not be giving them another chance. I highly recommend the Lynn valley location. At least they re consistent.

I was there with a group of friends in mid-October and there was a billing error that I only noticed the next day. I emailed the outlet and got an immediate response from the Service Manager Rafael and General Manager Brianna who confirmed there was indeed an error and refunded the balance to me the same week. On top of that, Brianna also took the trouble to mail out a gift certificate to me as a token of apology. 5 stars to the managers for being so responsive and going the extra mile to make amends!

Everything is good here! The OG of Browns chain of restaurants, this one has a cozy feel with all the great food and drink options. Always great service. I highly recommend the social sodas and the dragon bowl with chicken!

Tired of having food in restaurants and receiving sub standard service and food quantity, hence writing this review. Had dinner at Browns Upper Lonsdale on Saturday night. Calamari was less than before (quantity). Burger was ok, but not great, and by end of finishing it, everything looked mushy, including the patty, and falling apart. I also ordered a salad, which the waitress forgot to bring forks, so I basically ate it after finishing my burger! I also ordered a Diet Coke in the beginning but she forgot to bring that either. With excessive cost of living these days, when one is trying to treat himself with one night out dinner, this was just not OK, considering I spent almost $100 on a burger+2 beers+ a salad+ yam. I paid 15% tip, which I think was more than generous considering how things went, and the girl who got my money (different than the waitress) seemed not impressed. These businesses should not take customers for granted. I realize it s a tiring job, like many others, and staff my wear down by end of their shifts. But if you do something, do it right. Funny that I had dinner around July at this location, and I had a good service from the waiter (a guy) and food was decent. I sent a direct message to their management to compliment him and the experience, but they did not bother to write back and thank for my feedback. I doubt I will dine here again for quite sometime, too bad, since it s a close location to my place. Good luck!

Steak very good, fries way over salted and could feel my blood pressure rising. Carrot cake, best ive ever had, to die for (cubed light cake w tons of crunchy walnuts and whipped cream cheese topping) Service good. Find prices a bit high though. Dark setting but can be quite relaxing.

I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here with my good friend. The service was wonderful, as was the playlist- they even acquiesced to my request for The Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett! My friend said I was being embarrassing and that Halloween is over and that I should stop wearing that stupid costume, it s almost December for god s sake But he s just a bit of a miser!

All I got to say is right from the start to the end of my meal with my brother and other friend if it was not for the manager , I would have waited a long time to order, and getting riped off on my bill. My brother felt he sure got repit off.

Nice place to enjoy good beer, delicious food and excellent services, also the patio is pet friendly and a warmer place. The manager was attentive to recommending beer teasts.

I stepped into this place 2 days ago with my partner. I had dropped my mask somewhere and covered my face when I walked in and asked for a mask. The hostess told me they dont have any and that the manager will not allow us inside without a mask. Any business that requires masks should provide them and never be out of them.

Quiet and cozy place to drink and eat great food and talk to beautiful and friendly ladies who are passionate about having a great experience at the restaurant.

I went there with my friends after a party, and I usually do not go out and eat at places like Browns. Unfortunately, the food quality of the location was subpar at best. The dry ribs lack in substance compared to places like White Spot at comparative prices, and my steak came out well done when I asked for medium rare, and was under-seasoned. I wouldnt recommend going to this establishment to anyone.

Very friendly bar tender and waiter. Love the Cowboy salad. Also the dry round. Well be back for the millionth time.

Out of all the pubgrub style chain restaurants in Vancouver I prefer Browns over the rest. Their menu may not take you by surprise but the food is well made, tastes great and is totally reasonable in price. Service is always on point at Browns and I m never left waiting at the door for a table. I ve never had a bad experience here and i would definitely drop in every now and again for a comfort meal and to watch a little hockey!

This is our favorite browns on the North Shore. Their food is always really good. We love that it s a bit smaller then the other browns. Feels more like a true social house/pub. The best part is the staff, they are very attentive, you can see they re working hard to give everyone a great dinner experience. Unlike other browns where the staff stands around talking. If you have to pick one on the north shore, pick this one!!

The food came out hot and really fresh. I ordered the veggie burger with fresh cut fries and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Also, I could not have asked for a kinder more genuine server. Thank you Sabrina and team - you guys killed it.

What makes this Browns more particular than other ones? You can expect everything you know about the restaurant chain here. Attentive staff, a well maintained and operated dining area and the casual urban fare these places are all known for. What makes this one special to me at least, is that its more cozy than other Browns Ive been to. Its smaller, but their dining area set-up is great. Another good thing about it is that all their windows face west and so does their sidewalk patio. This means on a nice sunny and warm evening, youll get that sunset either on the patio or through the windows. The staff here are all great and very professional. If youre in the neighborhood for something youre familiar with, try this Browns.

Better than most Browns, they have staff. I had a take out order last night where they neglected the sauce which made for dry food but that isnt a common occurrence. This is the only decent restaurant in Lynn Valley which is a shame but keeps this place busy all the time.

Everyone in our office love Browns for Eat In or Take Out lunch. Our favourites include their Cesar Salad, Hot Chicken Wings, and of course their Teriyaki Chicken Dragon Bowl

Went in for late night happy hours with some friends. The food was good and the serve were really friendly and just over all super awesome.

4 went there to celebrate friends birthday... The starter dish of calamari to share was delicious. My cowboy salad was good , not great, my fish tacos were nice. My wife had the beef dip which was far too salty. My daughter had a burger which hit the spot , she enjoyed it with the fries. Our friend had blackened chicken which he said was good too. To end I ordered the carrot cake and it was NOT great at all - some kind of modernized baked, dry version with a few blobs of ice cream on top. Browns should really look into this - it is an awful recipe and sad to say replaces the delicious Key lime pie they used to make. BUT to Browns credit they did bring my friend a FREE carrot cake. He made no comment as he struggled through it. The service was excellent , the waitresses and waiter friendly and attentive and the ambience was better than average....the straight coffee at the end was good too, but the girls had coffee with alcohol and although quite strong they said it was good. Bill which my daughter paid with tip came to almost $ 200. 4 stars not quite earned - i would give 3.75 but no option for that.

Really good experience! Great service, yummy food and a very enjoyable atmosphere. I appreciated the subdued lighting inside so it wasnt too bright and very cozy and comfortable. The servers were really on top of things, from refilling our water to clearing our plates when we were done.

I only had time to stay for a drink however, the servers were attentive and the atmosphere seemed welcoming, I am not a usual Patron of this particular chain, that said, Id return to this location, to sample the fare.

My favorite restaurant. Whenever I can or on a special occasion, I take friends. The manager Rafael is super kind and always pays attention to us. The dishes are wonderful. I recommend the stake with pasta and the roast beef sandwich (my favorite). The price is average but worth every penny.

Most of us have been to one. Its a chain. Best cauliflower bites though. This location had very down to earth friendly staff. Fast service and clean. 4 stars is high. 5 stars is for places like Gotham steakhouse, Black & blue etc.. But yeah this Browns is really good.
