Mac and cheese and side poutine are sooo good!

We tried the burger, the chop & chew platter and the pulled pork sandwich. Everything was good. Our favorite was the beef sausage.

The Loco-moco tasted like camp food. The sasauge patty topped with a fried egg over rice and gravy sounded so appetizing and interesting but sadly was a bust. The rice was soggy and lacking any flavour, the sausage as just meh and well how can you mess up an egg. I would try again one day something else off the menu but I think that item should straight up be removed from the menu.

We just had our Diner there and it was fantastic. We had the chef glazed salmon and the chop and chew platter with the Oktoberfest sausage. The food is really good and the folks are extremly friendly, it was more like visting your buddies, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. I also can recommend the black kettle pale ale from tap. Amazing experience! I was curious with the rating and after being there I understood! I had the Mac and cheese (amazing), my bf got the poutine (also amazing), I m not normally a fan of sausages (their specialty) but was also soooo good! The drinks are delicious too! The service was amazing, we ordered something by mistake and the chef came to our table to ask if we would like to change and to make sure we would have the best experience, and we did!!

We followed google search result to go to this restaurant and it was worth to spend 2 hours in there at 2:30pm for our late lunch after hiking on Grouse mountain. Food was delicious, the waiter was very friendly introducing the menu and recommending meals. We liked those foods.

We traveled from Montana and were looking for a good, local feeling place. Chop and Chew was exactly that! We felt welcome the moment we walked in. We loved the menu, the atmosphere and service. We loved hearing that it was run by a group of young, long time childhood friends.

This place is fire! good vibes, genuine staff, and the food SMACKS. Traveling thru on the way to Alaska, got there kinda late and Alexis held the kitchen a few minutes longer so we could order food. That s the sort of service experience that separates the good places from the best places.. Will definitely be back.

just had dinner here, my partner and i were looking for food and recommended we come here. i had never heard of it before. we shared the mac and cheese with a chicken sausage, and pulled pork sandwich with the most crispy delicious steak cut fries, and we also ordered the crispy mushroom wings which came with a house made marinara (everything in this resto is made in house) - the mushrooms were so freaking good i had never had anything like that before. for everything, it came out to $50 - just incredible food and quality for something that barely dents the wallet. the service was fantastic, we actually sat down and the waiter was helping another table so the chef came out and greeted us, it felt really nice and friendly. cant rave about this place enough actually hahaha, new favourite for me. well be back!!

Chop & Chew is a neighbourhood gem. Shayan (owner & cook) is unfailingly friendly and attentive, plus his mother is also a great cook. The venue is cosy and has outdoor seating. The menu selection is not large, but it is carefully thought out with good portions and wonderful flavours. We always have a fun time there!

We had difficulty finding the store hours to go there, but it was worth it! Shayan, the manager, created a welcoming atmosphere and was super nice. The burgers were so damn good super great flavors and sauces with no sogginess. The fries were also delicious and a massive portion. Well be coming back every time we find ourselves in North Vancouver and will suggest it to anyone who asks.

I don t have much to complain about here; we visited with our out of town relatives and found Chop and Chew from its outstanding reviews online. The sky was overcast so the patio was completely empty, but the sole server was happy to sit us with our big dog and was friendly and accommodating. Inside, TVs were showing some hockey games, and as our meal went on, a few groups came and enjoyed beer towers while taking in the game. The food options all felt like home cooking, our group tried charcuterie, mac and cheese, potato leek soup and the chicken schnitzel. All were cooked well and flavourful. I would love to come back and try a few of their other options as they all appealed. The selection of beers and wines would be great for a day of summer drinking too! Vegetarian options: They offer vegan sausage links which were a little salty but a nice alternative to beyond meat

I have to say there are foods amazing. Hamburger is very juicy and fresh, even side dish chips are crisp. When I ate Sausages which let me to think my grandma, few layers in my tongue, smashed potato are very touching too, totally homemade mama s dish feeling. Also the boss is very kind and I have had a chat with him, he told me he prefers to earn less, but gives good foods to customers. It was a wonderful lunch on Sunday. Kid-friendliness: My daughter really enjoyed the hamburger, she finished all of them. Normally she is a picky girl on foods.

From the moment we walked in Shayan (owner and chef) greeted us and welcomed us to his restaurant. My mom didn t want to use the QR code so Shayan offered his iPad. We chose to share the Rocket Beet salad-absolutely delicious in-house dressing. So refreshing! Totally sad they did not have the house-made nuts that were usually on it but he added a little extra beets and cheese. Then mom had the chip and chew with the chicken sausage and the Bavarian sausage. These are made in-house. The coleslaw had a hint of cumin and it was yummy. I had the Mac and cheese with a vegan sausage. So creamy and satisfying, cooked a little al dente, perfect. Our waiter was so lovely, Aidan. He checked on us throughout the evening and told us to relax and take our time. Shayan came out often and checked on his customers. We really enjoyed this little gem and will go back on a Tuesday when they have local comedians come at 8:00pm. I definitely RECOMMEND this cute little gem.

Still Five Star. Ive been coming to this place close to when it opened during the pandemic. Its my neighborhood spot. The staff is wonderful, and the owner was so gracious to host our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. The entire crew made our family and friends feel so welcome and well served. The food is always a treat. The cocktails are *premium*.

I dont give reviews often, but this place definitely deserves a review. Ive been there a few times over the past few weeks and I always leave with a smile on my face. Ive been there once for drinks and food and a second time just for drinks and Ive always been happy with everything. Theres not extremely much on the menu so you wont have a problem with the food selection and for drinks I can recommend Pilsner by Wildey which is good.

Sorry but no photos because we just tucked into the food. Whatever you order ...you wont go wrong. Get a spoon to get the last of the gravy/ sauce ...(So you dont have to lick the plate)

The service here was outstanding. It isn t a huge space but it s comfy and inviting inside. The food was very good. Their menu is not overwhelming which helps with decision fatigue. We got shareable plates between four people. We ordered the mac and cheese, the bratwurst / lemon herb chicken sausage, fries and mashed potatoes. Portions are decent and definitely shareable. I also recommend their pineapple beer if it s still available mmmm. Will be back.

My husband and I went here for dinner last night. I was honestly hesitant as the menu wasnt necessarily calling my name, but I went along with it and, man, am I ever glad I did! Every thing we had was delicious. Started with Smoke On the Water cocktails (yum!), followed by the mushroom appy and then shared the best burger Ive ever had. The fries were also perfection. This is a small, family-run restaurant that really focused on delivering delicious food and the best customer service possible. Their daily soup is literally made by the owners mother! I really enjoyed my time at this place and will definitely be back for their signature dishes that I didnt get to try. But you must try their daily soup, regardless of what it is, their selection of locally produced sausage, and the poutine. We only had their apple turkey sausage but they offer a wide variety of different sausages that is made locally and they all sound amazing. The quality of food and customer service for the price that we paid was fantastic and I urge others to go and support another great local business!

It is indeed the best burger place on the North Shore. Juicy patty was thick, perfectly grilled and delicious. We also liked french fries and spicy mayo. Only one regret is . They were crunchy and tasteless- I prefer caramelized onions.

Last night, I had an interesting dining experience at Chop and Chew. My dinner and was fantastic, the sausages were some of the best Ive ever had, the coleslaw to die for! I was in the midst of planning who Id like to bring back (the burger looked amazing!), but then the comedy show started. If dinner was delicious the humour was unpalatable. Im a full supporter of following your dreams and would have shown my support enthusiastically, if the jokes were just bad, but not shamefully of distaste. Within 15 minutes, I heard everything from liquor shaming, for those choosing to embrace a dry January, to antisemitic jokes, attempting to pull the Israeli/Palestine conflict into New York with Kanye West rejoicing. This was not comedy this was offensive. Vegetarian options: Fantastic vegan sausage and mushroom wings look interesting.

One of my favourite places in the city. The owners are young, cool, hard working and have curated an amazing menu. Everything is fantastic. They are also a cultural hub for north Van - they have comedy shows given space for newer comics, and also established comics trying new things. You might find your next new favourite comic there! You never know! PERFect Date spot.

Chop and Chew is the place to be! everything from their food and drinks, to their service, and their ambience is top tier. You are warmly welcomed and greeted the minute you walk in through those doors and immediately feel like you are apart of a community. The staff are attentive and are always ensuring that they are creating an experience for you that makes you want to keep coming back for more. What elevates the experience even more is how the owner Shayan, comes around and personally greets everyone. My favourite item here is the sausage style burger that comes with hands down the best fries in town. But you can t go wrong with anything that you order here because it s quality and most importantly, made with love!

I did not dine in or take out. My coworkers and I walked there twice with the hope of having some amazing food as reviewed at lunch time seeing a sign on the door saying that they don t open until evening. The second time we ran into the owner, and she said they open in the evening. So I suggested to the owner to update their hours. It has now been almost a month and it has never been updated, which is causing inconvenience to people and disappointments for not being able to have the good food we expected for the short break during lunch time! It is a courtesy to update your hours and maintain your own restaurant on Google Maps. The hours are there for a reason. :(

This is our first time in Canada and our first time trying Poutine. Chop and Chew set the bar high. We thoroughly enjoyed it as well as the Mac & Cheese, Bratwurst, and Trash Can Nachos (Fri/Sat only). Sheyda was a great server, very friendly and attentive. We also had the pleasure of meeting the Head Chef/Part Owner, Shayan, who is very personable and kind. You can tell he is very passionate about the quality of food he is preparing and serving to his guests. He is serving great tasting food at a very affordable price. We definitely recommend this restaurant!!

If you are a burger guy/gal, this place is one of a kind. The patty is amazing. Fries are out of this world crispy. Owner truly cares and takes pride in his creation. You can taste the quality and soul.

Down to earth, authentic and absolutely delicious. I can only agree with the positive reviews. The very good service was remarkable. I ordered salmon and was immediately told that it would take a little more time to prepare. In addition, there was a portion of French fries to tide me over, which were among the best Ive ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Absolutely great. Sometimes I really want a box of fries. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box to eat. They were perfect! So puffy like pillows and the texture was like a grilled cheese sandwich - such a great crunch and puffy texture. The flavour was so good! Its not every day the craving for fries hits but Chop and Chew is the only place Ill be getting them from now on. So tasty!

Its my home away from home. Its so delicious and its consistently a good visit everytime I go there.

Finally got around to trying this place recently and it was fine, but overall a bit disappointing. Its a limited menu with few healthy options, and the coleslaw is literally just shredded cabbage. Good service and a patio, though. It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening

My husband and I really enjoyed our meals here! We were drawn here initially because of the vegan sausage, and it was great! We had the mac and cheese with vegan sausage and the Chop and Chew platter with a brat and chicken sausage. We also got a complimentary chorizo sausage due to the chicken sausage being on the smaller side, which we appreciated. The coleslaw and mashed potatoes were also fantastic! Would definitely recommend! Vegetarian options: Vegan sausage!

The Hidden Gem of the Lonsdale. A family-owned place with hilarious comedy shows every Tuesday, which you can rarely find at any other place on the north shore. The food is also great, variety of quality meat and sausage-based dishes. And last but not least, the staff, Shayan, Aiden, Shaun and the rest are always super-friendly and make the whole experience even better. My first go-to place in NorthVan

Shian (sp?) is a wonderful business owner and his establishment, Chop and Chew is a top notch local eatery. Ive gone for beers, wine, bites and good banter with friends and colleagues alike. The food is great and atmosphere inviting. A unique North Shore gem. 10/10 would recommend.

If you like a good ole cookout with your friends, you ll love stopping in at Chop and Chew. Gourmet food that you ll love, prepared without fuss. Great fries, great sausage, great service. Make it a point to stop here.

Great food and great service! Very affordable as well. Shawn was really friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend this place. I would suggest the crispy mushroom for appis and the chicken sausages for mains!

Good meal with drinks in the evening Dont expect Putin in Quebec I dont understand why people are praising Conslow so highly. There is a high possibility that foreigners will not like it.

Chop and Chew was fantastic! Great food, great service and just a great overall experience. Shayan, is down to earth and really knows his way around the kitchen. My wife and I were up from Ohio and wanted to try this place out and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Loco Moco which has gravy, and it was the PERFECT amount of gravy. Most places just pile it on and it gets sloppy, not Chop and Chew. Shayan also hooked us up tremendously. I HIGHLY recommend coming here and I sincerely hope that you do. When Im in town again, I will definitely stop back here! Also, the dessert, which was like a smores style dessert, with a freshly baked cookie, amazing. Get that too! The overall price is very reasonable.

Solo dine here a couple of weeks back. The server was really nice and helpful. I had the vegan sausage link platter and side of macaroni and cheese enjoyed the food.

The food is simple but tastes very good. I thought it was super tasty. I would definitely like to come back. The service is also very friendly and explains everything about the dishes. The Canadian version of the German Bratwurst is only distantly related to the original :-) Parking: According to the signs on the surrounding streets, you are allowed to park for 1 hour. Parking is free. The owner of the shop said that the parking time was not really monitored.

Shayan & his team are always putting their best foot forward! From comedy nights to celebrations, Chop & Chew has been our go to spot on Lonsdale for reliable customer service delicious food, and a positive, welcoming atmosphere!

Food was fantastic but above that the best part was the service. The two people running everything tonight were so nice and courteous about my take out order. Theres a reason they have one of the best ratings. They have great food and they seem like great people. Parking: Hard to park in the area. No fault of the business owners.

Great meal, fun place. Sausages are locally-made. Coleslaw was outstanding. Bit of a miscommunication with the server, though. He charged for an add-on, and then left off an included entree side that was paid for. It wasnt an upgrade upcharge. Seperate addition. Would still go back. Chorizo Verde sausage was delicious.

The sausages here are definately super delicious and I am not a sausage person, but I still enjoyed it very much. Service was good and I liked the atmoshpere as well. The mac and cheese was lacking though, super dry and a tad tasteless. But I would come back here for the sausage.

Two friends could not finish their macaroni because it was no good. One friend enjoyed his mushroom soup. I found the sausage to be just average - no different than what I might find in the grocery store. Food : 2/5

These guys were incredible, came for a comedy show on a Tuesday night, the vibe in here was 12/10, staff were so nice, French fries were fantastic and the sausage immaculate. Terrific little gem in north Van will be back soon!!!

In an effort to try new restaurants instead of returning to the tried and true, my friend and I went to Chop and Chew. We are so glad we did. The servicers were friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. We had the itty-bitty little buddy committee appie and it was simple but delicious. We both had the Chop & Chew Platter and had different sausage options, so we could share and have a taste of all 4 highlighted that day. The sausages were great, all with distinct strong flavours. Coleslaw is a bit of a risk at restaurants because everyone makes it differently, but this was really good - not drowning in dressing but nice and flavourful. The meal was ramped up a notch with the fantastic grainy mustard served with both the appie and the entree. The venue is small so it was a bit noisy but they did a good job with the space they have. I definitely recommend this establishment.

Best service ever! Really felt like they cared. Had some delicious mulled wine, and I was so excited to see they had vegan sausage. At most places anything vegan tastes like plastic, but the sausage here was seriously delicious. So impressed with food and staff here! Check it out!

All of the food here is amazing and I especially recommend Mama Js Mirze and the sausages. The bartender makes delicious and creative cocktails and everyone who works there is incredibly friendly!
