Cliff House Restaurant & Bar in North Vancouver

Went to eat here with my boyfriend and sierra was our server. She really took her time to explain the menu and accommodate it to our diet restrictions. I haven t had a caring and charismatic server like her in a while so I wanted to spread the love through this review. Thank you sierra!!! Well be back for sure :)

The team was mega!

We had a delicious meal with the best view. Very cozy atmosphere and very good service.

The food and drink were great; however the service was terrible. We havent finished our dish yet, one waiter brought our dessert, we said were not done yet... and he said... oh.. but the dessert is ready... I refused and said later. Later on, another waitress came, would like to clean out our plate, but were not finished completely. Very bad dinning experience with these two Asian waiter and waitress. But the other waitress is quite friendly and well service, only remember her name starts with B. It was not weekend, weekday around 5pm, the restaurant is busy but still have few table available and no one waiting in line. They shouldnt push us like this. Terrible experience and felt so sorry for the restaurant to have these two employees to downgrade the restaurants reputation.

I asked if there were any vegan options and the answer was no. I asked if any dishes could be made vegan and the answer was no, we dont do that . This seemed very contradictory coming from a restaurant that is located inside a park that is so engaged in raising awarenesses about sustentabilty. What a disappointment.

We visited Saturday evening. Our party of 6 (3 kids, 3 adults) were seated outside quite immediately; however, things went downhill from there. We placed our order with our soft-spoken server quite quickly but waited forever for our food (a neighboring table that ordered after us got their food first, a large party also, but they also had issues). Eventually our server came to tell us there had been a mistake with our order and instead of bringing out the cooked food they let it get cold so when we finally got it both the fish and chips and burger were cold not even room temp. One of the kids mac and cheese finally came 10+ mins after the rest of the food. A table nearby was having similar issues and the server just completely avoided them even when the man was yelling in her direction. A hostess had to step in. We got a significant discount and hot chocolates for the kids to go. Im sure the food would be decent (the brussel sprouts were good but again not warm) when hot but cannot recommend.

I ordered soup and the side of bread they gave me was rock hard. I mentioned it and it was scoffed/strugged off; as if its not a problem. So if you chip your teeth on their food, apparently theyll be fine to cover the dental work youll need. Quality is hit and miss.

Seafood chowder is one of the best Ive had anywhere in the PNW! My husband had the butter chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it, too. I will say dont trust the small plates adage because they are not small by any means - we expected appetizer size small plates but they were meals on their own!

It s inside the park. You have to buy tickets to get inside the park in order to eat there. The google location is off, it looks like it s by the street but it s not.

Cant comment on the food. My friend and I were turned away. The hostess suggested we go elsewhere when she overheard that we really just wanted a drink. It was the middle of the afternoon and most tables were empty. We had our drinks somewhere else instead.

Woww!! What an experience, the views from up top were absolutely phenomenal and our lovely server Tiarni made our visit extra special, she was so welcoming and attentive! This is a must do if you want an incredible view of the mountains ! I wish it was open in winter as well. I ll be back !

Our server Beatriz was very friendly and professional, she recommend us the pulled Pork Sandwich and it was delicious, the service was really fast and kind, definitely I come back again. Thanks Beatriz for that excellent service

On Saturday I have brunch with my family at the restaurant, the staff very friendly but specially our server Beatriz, she took the time to recommend us dishes, I have the Steelhead Salmon and I really like it. Excellent service, professional server and cool spot to get a delicious food.

Good tasting food, generous portions, beautiful presentations Ashrapeet very attentive service along with helpers Recommend dishes Grilled Brussels sprouts, seafood chowder, salmon end or start with raspberry cheesecake -is a combination of light moist cake and cheesecake, I thought I died and went to heaven. mmmmm

Delicious food! I recommend the lois lake steel head and the seafood chowder. Please note you can only come to this restaurant by paying for admission into the capilano suspension bridge which is around 60 dollars as of July 2024.

The food was yummy and the staff were very kind and professional. Our waitress an Asian or Philippino looking N ... Ms Wonderful she was very attentive, kind and caring. When she noticed that my kid was not eating his food she brought a different dressing and asked to my kid if this sauce was better, when my kids chair was far from the table she pushed the chair closer to table without being asked. If I could rate her I could give 5 and thousand of stars to her. Kid friendly restaurant, as it also offers some crayons and a piece of paper for coloring, it has a gorgeous view.

Delicious salmon

Pretty poor fish and chips. Fish was too heavily battered!! And practically raw. Small amount of coleslaw.. For the money not worth it!! Food

Had lunch here after walking though the park. Family of 7, ordered burgers, pulled pork sandwich,, bolognese, Caesar salad, quinoa salad and Brussel sprouts. All food very good with generous servings. Service excellent, they accommodated request to move inside when it got too hot for us outside

DONT BE FOOLED! We drove to this restaurant and had our friends meet us there for dinner to try something new. As we walked up and asked where the restaurant was, they told us we needed to purchase park passes first. at $66.95 and adult to get admittance to the restaurant. So for four of us, $267.80 before we eat and then we have to buy dinner. So we were turned away after burning carbon to get there, paying $6.34 to them for parking. We had to turn around and drive to West Vancouver where we had a lovely dinner at Earls with a fantastic server, Sophie. Heres why I am VERY disappointed. Number 1, when you look up restaurants on Google Maps and read about this place it says nothing about a $267.80 cover charge to eat there. Number 2, if you decide to do further research (which some people do) and go to their website, buried in plain text at the bottom is this statement, No reservations available. Seating is on a first come, first served basis for Park visitors. Its incredibly misleading and possibly on purpose. I read that Park visitors get first seating and if I show up, I may have to wait. What it should read is, You are required to purchase Park Tickets to eat at this restaurant. Clear as day, no mistakes. It seems like they want you to show up and say aw shucks, okay, Ill fork it over...especially after you just paid for parking in their private lot. Number 3, any good or great business should allow the front line managers to make decisions on their own. The staff there are not allowed to make exceptions or provide excellent customer service. We were there later, seniors hobbling around and we didnt want to sneak into the restaurant to get access to the park. I would have left my license with the guy or given him my phone while we had dinner. But we were spurned away, hobbled back to their parking lot, got into our cars and provided additional climate change damage driving to another restaurant where we had a lovely dinner and a great time. Whats really ironic about the whole situation was that this weekend, we were expecting out-of-town American guests (they cancelled because one was feeling sick) and we were talking about taking them to the Capilano Suspension Bridge experience. Guess where we will be taking them when they reschedule or any future guests? Exactly, not there.

Cliffhouse restaurant left us with mixed feelings. Despite good reviews on Travelocity, our experience took an unexpected turn. Arriving without a reservation as advised, we were shocked to learn about the mandatory $70 per person park admission just to dine there. We hadnt checked their website beforehand, which caught us off guard. Considering we had already paid for parking, the additional $280 for our group seemed excessive. Ultimately, we opted to leave without indulging in their cuisine. A disappointing twist to an otherwise anticipated dining experience.

Ordered their paneer main course and it tasted worse off than most frozen gravies Ive had. The naan seemed store bought and they give 2 drops of raita. In case youre planning to order this main course, pls dont.

I sat in for a beer to wait for the sun to go down (for the lights). And I couldnt really decide. I was offered to try two beers first. Very helpful! Then enjoyed a Chase My Tail Pale Ale in the cozy atmosphere. :)

Nice restaurant , good food. Visited during love lights. The view from the restaurant was quite nice and the atmosphere inside is excellent. There is a very nice outdoor seating area for when the weathers better. Food is well presented and quite good. Small menu but it has a good variety of options. There is a kids menu available, with crayons and coloring sheet. Be warned kids meals are basic, we ordered There mac and cheese for $10. Which doesnt come with a side or drink or desert. And was not of same quality as adult meals. Staff was friendly and service was a bit slow but it was quite busy. Bathrooms at this restaurant are located outside which is a real drag when its pooring rain. Overall a good experience and a refreshing option to see at an attraction. This restaurant exceeded my expectations for food taste and presentation. Definitely worth a visit.

I was visiting the Capilano park for the second time and decided to try this restaurant out. It s probably a wrong choice cuz the overall experience was very disappointing. The food was a bit over priced but it s acceptable if it tastes good, but the taste was super average. Didn t like our server, she seemed like didn t have the patience and heard one of our order wrong but still charged us on the wrong item; I asked for recommendation and explanation on the menu, and both me and my friend felt that the way she talked was rude; only checked back to us once for the entire time, not to mention that even asking us if we needed anything else. I also noticed that other tables had flower however not on our table. The wait time for food was long as well, I suggest just go to DT for food, didn t worth trying.

Went to Capilano Suspension Bridge park for Love Lights and ate here thereafter. Server was great and the food was delicious. How awesome it is that they cater to vegans and vegetarians. Just wish that there s a washroom right inside the restaurant and not out in the park. Wouldn t mind heading out of the diner to use the washroom when the weather s warm and dry, not so much when it s cold and wet.

Surrounded by the beautiful lights, sitting by a fire and amazing options to eat and drink. We had the eggnog and muld wine, it was mouth watering. Shianne did an amazing job looking after us.

Magnificent service and attention

Great service, nice ambience, and tasty food. We had the house burger with fries. The burger had fresh ingredients and was a solid burger. The fries were crisp and a thicker cut. I really liked it. Servers were attentive and friendly. Its a good deal if you have the BC residents pass, as you can get a bit of a discount. Otherwise it is a bit pricy for what it is, but they do create a nice atmosphere and food was good. Its a nice place to take a break from walking around the park.

We came here for a birthday meal and at first we were taken aback by the limited menu. However it quickly became clear the food they serve is outstanding. I have never had brussel sprouts as tasty as the ones that came with the salmon, the glaze on which was delicious. There was a slight issue with my salad which was not the fault of the staff, but they more than made it right. The staff was genuinely friendly and its clear they take great pride in the restaurant and the food they serve. We encountered some regulars and loved seeing them interact with the staff. Despite going to Capilano numerous times a year we have never eaten here (due to lack of time) but we will definitely be back.

Service was good, the food was alright. The kids menu has little choices. We sat next to the fireplace which was warm and cozy compared to the weather outside. There are a few tables outdoor which has fire in the middle of the table. The rest of the outdoor tables has heat next to it. There are a few tables indoor.

Took an uber and found out we have to pay $70.00 just to get in the park. Forget it, not impressed

Wonderful experience dining here after a chilly walk enjoying the canyon lights everyone was happy with their food (table of 7 adults) and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks from the bar were well made and very tasty! Also really enjoyed the brownie dessert which was even GF! Decadent chocolate flavor and rich texture. Will be back for that as well as the seafood chowder we were fortunate to go on a day that was not very busy as the rain had scared most ppl away so it was lucky for us. Thank you for a great night! The manager was also very nice.

Highly over priced. 2 bacon cheeseburgers and 2 drinks were $82 Bacon and burgers were overcooked. Fries were amazing. Wait staff was amazing. Shouldn t cost that much for cheese burgers.

Although we have lived on the North Shore for many years, we had not been to the park or this restaurant in the past. As it was a friends birthday, we decided to give it try and we were aghast at what we discovered prior to going. The Restaurant prices are extremely high - a burger for $26.00 !!. But worse than that, it costs $63.00 per person TO EVEN GET INTO THE PARK where the Restaurant is located. Also lets not forget to round out the absolute gouging experience by charging for parking. Also we dont believe that it is a genuine oversight that the park entrance fee is not mentioned on the restaurant website. We will definitely spread the word so that unsuspecting locals dont bring their tourist friends to this rip-off destination. Who knew that natural beauty could cost so much !!

The service is enthusiastic and the food is served quickly. The taste is okay! I just didnt expect that the Truffled Parmesan Fries (delicious) as an appetizer came in a large plate, which was so large that it looked like a main course; the Fish and Chips as a main course only had two small pieces of fish, which seemed like an appetizer. With this amount, it s a bit difficult to order the food.

The food is pretty good, but not the service. Firstly, the waitress brought me coffee, but no sugar, then the wrong meal, so I needed wait for my order much longer. In addition, when I ve got my order, the was no fork. And for the dessert when I ordered a beer, no one have brought me it. Don t know, maybe it s the waitresses first working day, but it wasn t a pleasant experience for me anyway.

First ever review on Google. Why review now? Its easy to complain when you get bad service but its equally important to be vocal when you get a great meal. I visited the bridge with my wife and three kids over 18 months ago and we still talk about the unexpectedly excellent meal we had at the Cliff House. I went to this restaurant because I needed a break and lunch after crossing the Capilano Suspension Bridge and visiting various places, and the food was good, probably because I was walking while sightseeing.

The manager Shiva made our experience very unforgettable !! One of the best services I have received in a long time. The food came very quickly and it tasted incredible!! Thank you Shiva so much for providing this heartwarming experience for us!

Highly overpriced, and there was a poor choice of food

I order many dishes at the menu and let tell you they were all surprisingly tasty. It is a little overpriced, but it s worth the experience: delicious food at an amazing location. Definitely ask for a table outside, so you can enjoy the full capilano experience. The rose wine was really good as well.

This place is 5 stars in food, service and atmosphere. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and loved the portion sizes and hospitality. The restaurant manager, Shiva made it a very special experience for us. He went above and beyond to ensure that we have a great time. I definitely recommend this place!

Ate lunch here today after visiting the Capilano Suspension Bridge park. All three of us got salmon, and it was the best meal we have eaten since weve been in Vancouver. Such a nice surprise and a hidden gem tucked away in the park.

We came here after the suspension bridge walk and cliff walk. We were really enjoying our time in the park so we wanted to extend our time with a nice meal outside in the perfect weather. I ordered the quinoa bowl with salmon and my husband got the frittata brunch special. The portions were perfect and the meals themselves were delicious. We also got cocktails that were very tasty, our waiter Nook was fantastic and attentive, she really made our dining experience here awesome.

It was my first time to visit capilano had an amazing experience with all the views and beautiful nature and it topped with that was cliff house the food was spectacular and the team was so on spot with service Amrit,Ruban ,tom and Shiva where so attentive and pro active even during the busy hours we where thoroughly checked and asked for refills which gives us the experience of good service Will definitely comeback at Cliff house thank you everyone for making my day

A tourist trap for sure, it does the job as the quality is acceptable, just overpriced.10$ beer and 26-29$ meal with slightly better than food court quality and service.

Atmosphere is nice, and it s a convenient place to eat. It s expensive but it s easy. Clam chowder and the butter chicken were okay. Fish and chips were a little oily but not too bad.

Ordered the parmesan fries and caeser salad. The fries were perfectly seasoned and the salad had generous amounts of parmesan, they didnt skimp on it. Good balance of dressing and parmesan. We sat outside and enjoyed the view.

Very pleasant place just at the start of the park. Eating a good Caesar salad on the terrace with a glass of white wine with a view of the park is worth the price. I recommend and the dishes are plentiful.

well i wasnt expecting this, a very nice surprise, the location obviously is cool , the food was shockingly excellent, chowder was great, fish n chips were good , and the ghoulish pulled pork was messy and yummy, menu was light but that in my opinion is good rather have great food over hundreds of sections! good job ,Will feature it on my YouTube channe admission and 15 adventure thanks

Highly recommend the pull pork sandwich, the sauce and the meat was perfect. But it made the bun a bit soggy and hard to hold all together. The burgers meat patty was a littler on the dryer side. But the fries was very nicely done. Wished the kids size mac and cheese had a bit more flavor, it needed a bit more cheese and small portion for $10. But they do give you some crayons and paper. Does not come with a drink or dessert. Overall its a good atomosphere and convenient place to grab a quick bite and to relax the feet after all the walking.

We visited there on Halloween night with our friends and after visiting Suspension Bridge, parmesan fries and hamburger and hot chocolate was so delicious and the staff were so nice and the restaurant was well designed for Halloween, thank you

The staff were amazing getting the kids meals out, and checked back on and additional needs. The staff were the best you could imagine. Food was good and prices were normal. Dietary restrictions: Two of our six guests have multiple dietary restrictions and the kitchen met all our needs. Parking: It is the Christmas lights at the suspension bridge, so.parking involves driving around the lot, but they had staff allocating spaces by arrival time which minimized stress and bother. Kid-friendliness: Crayons, kid friendly menu, understanding staff. Terrific

My family and I ate at this restuarant while visiting Capilano suspension bridge park during Canyon Lights. The food was pretty good but the menu was rather small. I had the butter chicken, which was very good. This restuarant has a large drinks menu and also has a childrens menu which includes chicken tenders. Overall I would eat there again.

Went here after finishing the walk on Capilano Suspension Bridge and the other tree top trails in the park. The place was pretty full and people were seated outside fireside even though it was -8°C. We started with a local brewed blood orange beer and a glass of wine and some truffle fries. The fries are thick cut potatoes and a bit oily. For main course we had Lois Lake Steelhead salmon which comes on a bed of quinoa, corn and black bean and Aloo curry(the best) which comes with naan, basmati rice and mango sauce.

Amazing service and very friendly staffs. And the view of this place is just magnificent. Their menu is just wonderful. And I have met some amazing people who are working there. They are really welcoming. I ordered an espresso martini and the employee made it for me even though that was not in their menu at the time. And it was so good as well. I would recommend this place to all nature lovers and I am definitely gonna come back here soon.

Before you leave the suspension bridge make sure you eat here and order the Salmon!!! It is so freaking good! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. You should also play with the old register.

Called ahead to make sure it was open and there was availability for lunch. Was told to come on down. What they failed to mention was that you need to pay $60 per person just to enter the park area in order to go to the restaurant. No idea what the food is like but the uber ride there and then back was great :/ The park looked alright, there s a bridge that is a tourist attraction, hence the ticket price.

A great post adventure meal. You sit right near the edge of the canyon and everything is so lush. For people complaining about prices at the snack bars, this wasnt much more. Plus it had shade, cold drinks, and great service(our kids kept the wait staff busy, with no obvious displeasure)

The food here was excellent! The restaurant manager, Shiva, was very accommodating and checked on customers constantly to ensure their experience was enjoyable. Even the head chef came out to ask about how everything was! We ordered the butter chicken(which was available in halal if requested, and had its own twist to butter chicken), cauliflower wings, Mac and cheese for the kids, and the chicken quinoa. Everything was great!

What a flawless experience! The rigatoni was fantastic, with such a great selection of local craft beers to be had. It was my first time dining in at the cliff house restaurant and I was very surprised by the amazing service and delicious food! I found that the staff was very friendly and the menu has a variety of options to accommodate for food restrictions. The restuarant manager, Shiva, was very kind and helped my friends and I pick food that we would enjoy. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would recommend checking out this restaurant the next time you are at the suspension bridge!

Great place to grab a bite after walking across the suspension bridge. The patio outside offers a unique opportunity to have a sit-down meal in the middle of the rainforest. The salmon which we added to the quinoa salad was fresh and delicious. The seafood chowder was loaded with seafood and also a good choice.

Perfect place to end ur trip . We had Calamari and French fries with beers and cocktails. Calamari was amazing and fresh . Portion size good enough for 4 people. We didn t have main course or dessert so I give them 4 !

Honestly did not expect much but genuinely very good food and nice staff (thanks Tomas)! Ate outside and there isnt a view on the canyon but still nice atmosphere, and has heaters. Food was excellent and the beer flight definitely worth trying. Shame its after the entrance to the park that is pricey, but overall experience was worth it.

Park was awesome! Came for the Halloween event and had a great time. Stopped for dinner, Dan the bartender had some great recommendations on drinks.

What an amazing experience. The park was beautifully decorated. The kids had a chance to do a scavenger hunt which was just perfect for exploring. We stopped at the Cliffhouse for a quick bite and we re not disappointed. Our server Daniel recommended us an amazing drink, the Empress Delight. Paired with the Steelhead salmon, it was like eating at a Michelin star restaurant . Manager Shiva even dropped by our table to make sure everything was to perfection and was great with the kids. 10/10 would recommend.

A great place for delicious food and friendly staff. I would recommend the homemade mulled wine for this Christmas season. I would definitely visit this place again. Parking: The parking is just opposite to the restaurant . Its a paid parking from 10 am to 5 pm .

We did not expect the level of service and quality from here that we received. We live close to Banff and are used to the tourist trap restaurant that is most likely to disappoint (with a side of dry, cold, flavourless french fries and a half present server that can t wait to get out into nature). We were taken aback by the friendly and helpful server. The chef came out and chatted with us for awhile. The folks that work here are amazing, thank you for the wonderful experience. The restaurant itself was beautiful and spotless. Food was flavourful and artfully presented. I had a Halloween dish and my husband had the Caesar salad with salmon. We were stuffed and wanted to do dessert but we will save that for next time. Thanks for knocking it out of the park and exceeding our expectations!

Good restaurant although a bit expensive. Its hidden away secretly in the capilano suspension bridge park. Its accessible and easily viewed when you take the cliff walk, which is a right turn just before you get on the suspension bridge. The restaurant has outdoor pet friendly seating arrangement as well as an indoor dining scene. The outdoor seating has beautiful views of the forest and the tall trees. The prices are expensive though. The seafood chowder was delicious. The fish and chips and the baileys hot coffee were decent. They have heating lamps all around the tables which makes it warm and nice to enjoy the food.

Incredible experience to cap off a memorable time at Capilano. Dan greeted us with a smile and made the Cliffhouse Restaurant a fond memory of our time in North Vancouver.

My partner and I came to Cliff House during Canyon Lights and had an exceptional experience. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated for the holidays and the lights from outside make it feel like you re in a snow globe. Our server Dan was very hospitable and went out of his way to make specialized recommendations for our food and drinks. Dan made the night even better than expected. Burgers are good quality wagyu beef patties and the fries were crispy and delicious. Would recommend to anyone coming to Capilano!

Very good food, excellent burger and great fries! A little expensive because its in a park, as expected. But very good and I wasnt hungry anymore. And the service is also great! Without forgetting the view on the terrace where you can see the whole park, its magnificent and pleasant!

Perfect spot to eat after exploring capilano bridge! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The restaurant had such a great ambiance and the holiday decorations were just on point. We got our food and drinks very quickly and they were so good!! I got the butter chicken and i could not stop talking about it all night 20/10! I would highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you are already in the area. I would definitely come again.

Staff was super friendly and quick to serve. Outdoor patio seating was shaded with splashes of sun, picturesque. Ate from the BBQ menu and everything was yummy. Will definitely be back for more. Had the ribs and brisket, loved the brisket. The baked beans and the potato salad were also delicious.

Food is a little on the pricey side BUT worth every penny. The whole menu is tasty. Ive have tried a few dishes. The chefs take pride in their food and plating. The food is plated and presented very nice. The service is a bit on the slow side. The Host is a bit all over the map, she tends to leave guests waiting while cleaning unnecessary tables or going and grabbing more menus to wipe down. Servers tend to get overwhelmed easily which leaves the guests a bit confused. They stopped letting guests in due to getting busy but they forget they have done that and left the guests waiting until they leave. Servers need to communicate better. So have patience when going.

Great location and ambience. Service was good. The food was fine and portions were generous. Regrettably few local, sustainable, or farm-to-table choices. The menu seems to be a mismatch with the setting. Sitting adjacent to a fish hatchery, we expected some basic options related to local produce and/or seafood.

Bad experience. A hair on my sons plate. My wife and daughter ordered chicken and it came with the visors!! It was a bit disgusting. I ordered lamb and the portion was miserable. The service is attentive, but the product is very bad

A cozy restaurant! Salad is ok. The fish is great! And the beer... It s not only food, but it just saves me from suffering a rainy day! It was my first to Canada! Everything else is just fine. Staff is friendly~ view is great!

Good time visit.

I would not recommend going here. I ordered one coffee and beaver balls and was the only one in line at the time . They deemed my order not to be a priority and served 2 orders behind me causing all ready pastries to be given out . Then there employ try s and says sorry we mixed up . I waited a total of 24 minutes for something that should have taken 2 minutes like the 2 others that ordered behind me .

The food was delicious! I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant. We ordered the blackberry cocktail which was incredibly well made. I also ordered tea. The clam chowder soup was excellent as well as the quinoa salad. I tried a few fries and that was great as well. Definitely an enjoyable, delicious, and memorable experience. Side note: Canadians are delightful!

Nice place good food

When you visit Capilano Suspension Bridge, you can spend about 3 hours crossing the bridge, looping around Treetops Adventure and the Boardwalk, strolling along the edge of the Cliff Walk, and browsing the gift shop. Add an extra hour to your trip and enjoy lunch or early dinner at Cliff House Restaurant. It was surprisingly reasonably priced, delicious and plentiful! The portion was really large, so it was just enough to share. The terrace in the trees is very popular in the summer.

The food and the outdoor setting surrounded by the woods are superb. Strongly recommended to have lunch after the visit.

Possibly one of the BEST dining experiences I have ever had. Friendliest host and server (Joline I believe) who you could tell genuinely wanted you to enjoy your meal. Gave great recommendations and offered us blankets upon noticing that we were cold (PS dont sit near the door). We had the fish & chips and spaghetti and I highly recommend both, although spaghetti was a little too oily. Entrées are around $25 each. Every single person at our table agreed that this restaurant makes the best fries.

I came to see the famous suspension bridge... I cant believe its so crowded at the entrance... I stopped going to see the suspension bridge and took a break here. The inside of the store was stylish and I enjoyed the Canadian feeling.

Normally I would have given only 1 star: waiting nearly 1 hour for our food and then getting raw chicken on two burgers. But the staff was very professional. That s why, 3 stars - prices are reasonable and view on the suspension bridge is great.

As a solo business traveller relaxing for the day amidst the beauty of Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, I was looking for comfort food for lunch and then later for an afternoon dessert. Both visits were very enjoyable experiences. Several minor service incidents were promptly corrected and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Extensive rainforest views in a gorgeous outdoor courtyard or inside heritage dining room. The cliffhouse has an unexpectedly tasty menu paired with local British Columbian wine, beer, ciders and cocktails. I can recommend happy hour specials which will feed you for about $15 and local draft beer is only $6.5 from 5-8pm. If you are a local consider getting a membership to Capilano and this will give you ten percent off. Dog friendly.

We visited over the weekend to enjoy a relaxing lunch and a stroll at the attractions. We ordered a club sandwich, fish n chips, and the soup. I had high expectations due to the pricey menus. First off the sand which, basic club sandwich can t go wrong right??? Wrong! It was dry as a desert. The only thing moist about it was the tomato. Hav you tried eating a dry sandwich? It s like cardboard. Next, the soup. This was better. Very chunky had lots of flavour and seafood in it. Next fish n chips, this was also okay nothing to write home about very basic batter fried fish. However ... the fries visually looked very appetizing with herbs and such! However looks can be deceiving one bite of the fri and you realize there s nothing special about it. It actually tasted better with ketchup. Overall I think eating here was an experience that won t be remembered, except the price.

As expected, the place was like everything else in the Capilano park...rustical, refurbished and well crafted. So was the food...the tomato soup was one of the best I had... you could really see it was made from real tomatoes....the burgers were averagely good! The service was very kind and accomodating. The only reason why I and many reviewers before me dont give five stars are the prices! While I do understand it has to be more expensive in touristic places like this, I think 25% abouve the avatage prices in a similar places in Vancouver is just a bit too much... specially when tjere is no happy hour...nor many people during winter months...
