Worst service ever! Couldnt break a smile or spend more then 5 seconds with our table of ten with a set menu. Served us a bottle of wine at the end saying we had ten minutes to get out.

Beautiful location. Excellent service by Andrea for a table of 11 people. The Spaghetti Puttanesca was really good. Everyone enjoyed their salads, pastas and pizzas. They were happy to provide dairy-free and vegetarian options for those that participate.

My pasta was barely warm & had absolutely no taste to it. No amount of chili flakes I added could compensate. When the waitress asked me how it was, I was mid word when she turned, said great and walked away. I was trying to tell her I was not impressed but she didn t care to listen. It is 2 pm - the place is nearly empty so being busy is not an excuse. I say walk past it

Ordered 3 of their pizzas to go and we were extremely disappointed. We planned to treat our cousins that were visiting from the States. Someone wanted Dominos and I insisted we get something much better. Boy was I proven wrong. Minimal toppings on the pepperoni. The Margarita and the sausage pizzas were just as bad. Spent over 80$ and no one was impressed.

Came here for drinks and dinner with the girls, and Kirsten took such good care of us! We had a confusing way of splitting our bill, and she was so sweet and accommodating about it! Food and atmosphere was amazing as well.

My wife and I chose Nook in Lonsdale to celebrate a birthday this past Sunday. We were treated to an atmosphere and level of service that exceeded our expectations, and the food was really quite good. Our server managed to wrangle up some very tasty tiramisu for dessert to celebrate, and the coffee prepared for us after lunch was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend. Further, when I spoke to a friend of mine, who resides a few blocks away, he stated emphatically that Nook was likely the best spot in the area. Vegetarian options: The menu has a decent number of vegetarian options, and many others can be made vegetarian Parking: Large hotel nearby with ample paid oarking, rate for parking is reasonable

Although the food was good having to wait outside for 20 minutes aftet arriving on time for our reservation was frustrating. The wait time for our meals was longer than I have experienced in the past

Ive loved Nook for years and every time Ive gone in Ive had great service, great food, and drinks! Dietary restrictions: I have a severe nut allergy and have had no issues eating here.

My friend and I came in for dinner on a busy Friday night and Kelsey, the bartender, was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond which made our experience a great one! Will definitely be back.

We visited Nook yesterday, and while the food was good, the welcoming experience was very disappointing. We tried to find a comfortable spot to sit, but the waitress kept suggesting a table in a corner that wasnt appealing. We spotted a table with four chairs and, being a group of five, asked if we could add an extra chair. Unfortunately, the waitress gave us an excuse that we couldnt add a chair to that specific table. On top of that, the waitresses had some attitude, which made the experience even less pleasant. Overall, we were not happy with the service, and it overshadowed the quality of the food.

Went to the shipyards 5 th anniversary event was pleasantly surprised to see our favorite waiter on the planet , Tracey who works at Nook , and kindly got us in on such a busy night for a nosh not dissapointed. .. the Burrata , the Pizza and Tiramisu were next level. I am now an eternal fan. And I would tell you all Go There!!!!

I cant rant and rave enough about Nook. The food is always outstanding, made to order fresh and perfectly cooked. They are so helpful and willing to take in dietary restrictions without hesitation. The team of servers are not only friendly but well informed, and super attentive. We love coming to Nook, we know we will be treated with warmth and welcomed in with enthusiasm to enjoy their flavorful food. You can tell they are being led by inspiration and it shows! Kudos to the management team for bringing in such electric and passionate servers.

Great pizza

Absolutely loved the prosciutto pizza, spaghetti bolognese, and the tiramisu. Friendly staff and great location. Parking: Paid parking lot below Nook is a bit on the pricier side but that s Lonsdale Quay for you.

Even though the place was very busy, the staff kept a positive vibe and were very energetic. Both the pizza and pasta were definitely worth the price. I will try their drinks next time!

Ok now imagine indulging in yummy pasta while enjoying breathtaking views, welcome to Nook. I couldn t be happier that Nook graced the Lower Lonsdale area, as it truly elevates the dining experience. The food is not only delicious but also leaves you longing for more, especially their mouthwatering pasta dishes. Moreover, I firmly believe that they serve the best Aperol Spritz in North Vancouver. I highly recommend this place for a charming date night with friends, you won t be disappointed. And yes, they do have burrata on the menu.

Nook was able to accommodate our wedding dinner for 11 people on a Saturday night, despite giving them only a little notice. Not only that, but our food came out fast, with each guest enjoying every dish. Our server was honestly amazing, she struck a perfect balance between attentive and giving us space. Her humor and professionalism was a huge relief after a busy and stressful few days. The portions were filling with a number of us getting take away boxes as we couldnt finish it all. Finally, we were treated to massive slabs of tiramisu which were delectable and still makes my mouth water just to think of it. The bill was more than reasonable, the food was delicious and filling, and the service was fantastic. We really appreciate a great ending to our wedding day!

We ordered 2 pizzas and a pasta.The kids pasta was disappointing ( not tasty) and the pizzas burnt with a bitter taste. Usually we have a good experience form this restaurant but this time we were shocked! How can they delivered this pizza for the customers !!!

Great service and even better food. Good options for non alcoholic cocktails as well. They were also very accommodating of our baby. Our waiter was wearing a Cookie Monster button up shirt and we all found that very funny, it suited his personality. We had pasta, which all three dishes were delicious, and pizza, which was good but very salty. Highly recommend nook. Sit indoors for the most comfort as it can be very hot and sunny on the patio. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and they will cook a special baby friendly meal for them.

Update Apr.24 - Love dining here. The Boscaiola pasta and mushroom/pancetta pizza are the favs. So glad theyre doing reservations again! ---- Second time weve eaten here, and I think its our new fav North Van restaurant. Awesome and fun staff, fantastic food, great vibe. Both pizza and pasta are excellent. Love the rotating local taps (would love to see some more variety/non-Italian on the wine list too).

Great food but in my opinion charged at a premium price. I understand the majority of the ingredients are outsourced and with inflation a lot of restaurants have bumped their prices. I definitely eat here often just not as often as some of my other favorite places around town. Cheers! Food

Nothing like trying a restaurant for the first time with high expectations and they are exceeded!!! Pasta was so good I ordered two entrees and both were superlative!! Danny was my server and couldnt have been more hospitable and upbeat. Overall a great meal and experience. Highly recommend. Go hungry! Ciao

Delicious food and beautiful location at the Shipyards, N. Van. The kale salad was citrusy with the perfect bite of textures and flavours. I don t usually like quinoa but they make it like a crispy topping instead of soggy. The daily special crostini with whipped fava bean and burrata - highly recommend! Raspberry lemonade is housemade with fresh raspberry puree and lemon juice mixed with soda, well balanced and not overly sweet. Pizza has that charred bubbly chewy crust reminiscent of pizzas in Italy, 10/10.

It was my first time at Nook this past weekend and we had a group of 8 for a birthday. There was an issue with our reservation, most likely my fault, regardless they managed to pull a table for us together quickly saving the birthday plans. Food, service and atmosphere is incredible.

Went to the restaurant for a dinner with the wife. The pasta is amazing. Super flavorful and filling. The pizza is excellent, but could have a little more options. The seating was a little claustrophobic as the tables beside me were literally an elbows length away. I actually knocked elbows with the gentleman beside me as we were having dinner. Overall, I will definitely be back for the pasta but will hopefully ask for a a different seating.

Some dishes were tasty, but the cacio e Pepe was a real let-down. It was basically over-peppered spaghetti. For an Italian to get this basic dish wrong was disappointing. Also, the cocktails tasted more like soft drinks/soda. Overall, not impressed but would potentially return for the pizzas.

The happy hour here is incredible. The pasta portions are big and the flavour is great. The pepperoni pizza is also huge and is packed with cheese and pepperoni pieces. Drinks are also reasonably priced. Nice environment. Will come back again 100%.

Decided to try this place for the first time. My dog and I were on a walk around the area. I was hungry. I asked if they had a dog friendly patio. She said unfortunately not but I could leave her close to the stairs where I can keep an eye. I said no problem. I asked if the patio was open for service. she said it was and pointed at a table to sit near the stairs. So I placed my dog near the stairs waited outside for 15 mins for service. Saw people go inside and get seated. Saw people come out. Meanwhile I was still waiting for a menu or water or service. I was upset by this point went inside to see if I was going be accommodate. I spoke to a guy at the bar or pizza area. He apologized for the lack of service. But by then I was already upset as it didnt seem like anyone cared, otherwise someone would of informed a manager or something if the server was too busy that there is 1 guest on the patio . Even though it was around. 240pm. It did not seem busy. I left because it was my first time wanting to try this restaurant and I didnt get any service for 15 to 18 mins. from 220 to almost 240.

December 28. Quiet day. Decided to check out what s going on in the neighborhood. After a lousy experience at Bowen Island pizza, we decided to watch the skaters on the ice. It s almost 2 pm so we thought to check out the Nook happy hour. OMG! I m starting to develop a complex. We came in. No one greeted us. I picked up a menu from the cupboard, where a guy asked if he could help. I said we re looking to see what your happy hour menu is like . To which he said delicious and kept walking. The menu I picked up was the general menu. He yelled back did you find it? We left.

Without doubt the best restaurant experience of the holiday. Especially for me as a Norwegian to celebrate Christmas Eve so far from home, but it couldnt have been better. The owner served us a wonderful three-course meal, prepared with care. Even though we booked late, they also managed to make a lovely sauce for the turkeys, even though I have an onion intolerance. We ordered three different desserts, I dont eat dessert myself, but my friends, from Croatia and Slovenia, think they were heavenly. The home-baked rosemary bread was one of the best breads I have ever eaten. Dietary restrictions: Managed to adapt well to me who is on the low FODMAP diet. Kid-friendliness: Street level, garden.

We made a reservation to go to Nook one evening after we realized we would be spending some time down by Lonsdale. I ve always wanted to try this place out as they re really busy. When we arrived, we were greeted by a host and was asked to wait outside for 15 - 20 minutes (due to COVID). As soon as we sat down, we were not surprised by the amount of diners around us and the bustling of the restaurant. We decided to share a couple appetizers, and a few mains to share. For starters we got the chicken liver crostini as well as the meatballs. The crostini, while creamy and flavourful, was a tad bit pricey IMO, but that being said, it was probably the best dish that evening. The meat balls were tender but overall not very memorable. For our mains we got the prosciutto pizza, the crust was great, perfectly cooked. The pastas were also cooked to Al dente, and had plenty of sauce. Overall the atmosphere is great if you enjoy the bustling places, maybe not for a first date though. Service was prompt and on point. Will definitely go back and try other things on their menu.

The Nook has been our go-to Italian place on the North Shore since it opened. Great food. Great location. And great service especially Kirsten, who might be the greatest server in the known universe. She is knowledgeable, kind, and her sense of humour could stop a baby from crying. Whenever we are lucky enough to get her on our section, we know we ll be treated right and the vibe will be solid. Busy, busy at 8pm Friday, but only a short wait to be seated at table for 2, without reservation. Staff all working hard, friendly and efficient. Food was great. Overall a very nice experience!

Great gnocchi let s just start there! Little Pillows of deliciousness and the bolognese was spot on. Went for lunch and ate family style with a salad and pasta dish between two of us - perfect! Green salad was delicious. Friendly service, and affordable prices. A great option if you re in the Shipyards neighbourhood!

I just love everything about this place

Gnocchi was great ! Whipped riccota got the post-covid makeover and can fit in the palm of your hand, not what it lokked like 2 years ago. $15 drink is just really sad.

Great place. Even tho it is technically a local chain it doesnt feel like the rest of the cookie cutter chains at The Shipyards. The food is excellent, the service was great, the staff knew the menu and didnt need to fight with tablets to take our order. Will definitely be returning.

Enjoyed an amazing meal beside the firepit on the patio near the Pier at Nook in Lonsdale Quay! We loved the Aperol Spritz drinks and devoured the kale salad with roasted pumpkin seeds and their handmade gnocchi and baby meatballs !!! Highly recommend

We had a great dinner here last night out on the patio. Great location, lots of action going on and lots of people watching. Service was really good. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. Food was excellent, very delicious and tasty.

I brought my dad here for his birthday and we had a wonderful time. Their salad special, pizza, and service were wonderful. We sat on the patio and it had a wonderful atmosphere.

Music was a little loud for my liking, and for an Italian restaurant. Our server took 20 minutes just to take our order, considering the food menu is quite small. The food took nearly 40 minutes to arrive. Portions were very small (especially for the price). I ordered the pasta special for $34. Now I have no problem paying $34 for a bowl of pasta but the portion was so damn small, like at least throw some extra pasta in there. It took me less than 10 minutes to finish about 12 bites of pasta. Also Took nearly 10 minutes for our server to bring the machines after giving us our bills. Water in the washroom was so hot, you couldn t even put your hand under the water.

I was very disappointed with my visit. We had four different people serve us, all distracted and unprofessional. I had to ask for my wine order three times. The food was ok but my meatballs, which I paid extra for, were burnt on one side. It was not at all worth the price. Don t bother going here.

We went to Nook for dinner the other night and had such a great experience! The food was so delicious. We ordered the special pizza and the gnocchi with a caesar salad to start, probably the best pizza i have had in a long time. The service was excellent, very personable. Andrea and Kristy are the best! 10/10 would reccomend and we will be back forsure.

I never share reviews but this place was bad. I came here for the first time for my anniversary and we deeply regretted it. We ordered the cacio e pepe and arrabbiatta pasta and it tasted pretty bad - even sent it back. I read other reviews and honestly we might ve just gotten unlucky with our food since they have such high ratings. The pasta was half el dente and half overcooked to the point where it was falling apart. The meatballs made it slightly better, but for an extra 8$ it wasn t worth it. Both tasted bland and flavourless, like straight out of the can. I booked this reservation with a note that it was our anniversary, and in most restaurants they ll take note of that but I don t think they bothered to even check the reservation profile tags and information. Everything seemed rushed and the dining area was way too loud. We left after 40 minutes. Overall pretty disappointing but if you like plain pasta this could be the place for you

We chose to come to Nook as we previously had good experience with other branches. Although food was delicious and satisfying but we were very disappointed with the service and staff. While our server tried to make patio comfortable for us by providing more heaters, every other staff including manager been very rude and made couple of uncomfortable comments which I never expect from a professional staff.

I love nook restaurants, I think I have tried all locations except this one. I crave for their pasta and prosciutto pizza once in a while. Service was good, food was good, house wine is so-so, the only thing that I don t like much would be their tiramisu, it s dry and felt like a store bought tiramisu. Save-on s tiramisu would beat theirs. Overall it s always good to support small family own businesses.

Nook at the Shipyards is a great place for a quick bite, or a nice tete-a-tete rendezvous. The pizzas are delicious and they make an amazing Rigatoni Arrabiata to die for. Good selections of beer and wine. The service is always pleasant and light-hearted. Pricing is in line with similar eateries. Very cozy and enjoyable place. Highly recommend it. Make sure you have reservations on weekends.

Nice ambience, good value good service.

Food was good, drinks were good, service was excellent. Lots of underground parking nearby, but it is pay parking! The restaurant lives to its name and is a little nook. Seating is a bit tight and when seated against the window one party member will have to move to let u in and out.

Came here on a Friday night. It was way too chaotic. Kids running around, dogs everywhere, long line-ups. I guess it was just a busy weekend? Though I hear it is like this every weekend... The pizza was delicious. The meat pastas looked great; however, for friends/family who wanted the vegan options - not so much. They dont have vegan meats or cheese so you are left with a very bland dish. Servers were great!

We ordered a pizza to go after having just picked up a sandwich from neighboring jamjar, and were headed to sit in the nearby square. As we waited, a new server came up to us and snatched the plates off the table we were sitting at, and told us we shouldn t be sitting where we were and that we were rude for having outside food. We were a little shocked and asked for clarification and she dismissed us and walked away. Clearly there was a miscommunication, but it was understood this woman wanted us to leave. We cancelled our order and decided to try somewhere else for lunch.

One of my favourite spots for pasta. I ll normally get their pasta feature which always includes awesome local ingredients. I ve had their pizza as well which was equally as good. Chris is a fantastic host and forms real connections with regulars.

This is a family favourite for me and my two young boys! The staff is wonderful, friendly, professional and very welcoming to my two young kids. The food is aways top notch and priced right.

Consistently good pizza and pasta, amazing appetizers, and great salad. All paired well with a nice selection of wines and cocktails (especially their Negroni).

Good food but the portions are lacking.

Not the best I have had for a long time.

This was my first time at Nook in North Vancouver. I have been to numerous restaurants in Vancouver as a whole and nothing has come close to the experience my friend and I had at Nook. Gabriel and the rest of the staff were the kindest, most knowledgeable, and attentive servers I have ever met. The food was absolutely phenomenal 10 out of 10. I will be back guaranteed. Thank you all!

My friend and I took our kids to Nook today For lunch. Resturant was empty. Our kids are well-behaved but from the moment we sat down, our waitress was unfriendly towards us. She did not give us a chance to look at the menu before taking our order. Our questions were ignored and when the food was brought out, our plates were thrown on the table in front of us. I get that people may have bad days but taking it out on us was unnecessary specially since she doesn t know what we are going through in life at the moment. My friend paid and did not leave a tip! As we were walking out of the empty restaurant, we heard her and another guy called us names. In the past 22 years here in Vancouver, this was the first time I was treated in such a manner. My only day off work with my child turned out to be such a sad experience.

The pizza was too salty that we could not eat! Told the waiter and he did not care at all!

Really , really, really great place for italien fud.

Nook Shipyards is fantastic. Good food, good ambiance, good speed, good people - you name it. Its a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Definitely one of the few truly delicious Neapolitan pizzas you can get in Metro Vancouver. Shout out to Brad. Hes the man!

Came to Nook for a Saturday night dinner right near the end of the rush. From start to finish the service was impeccable. All staff seemed to be on their game, but particularly our own server Tracy was far and beyond impressive with his thorough knowledge of the entire menu including the wine selection as well as his personal suggestions. I heard the food and wine were delicious, they did not disappoint. Will for sure be a go-to spot and highly recommend. Tracy deserves a raise!

Mushroom, procini cream pizza was amazing and liked the lampone drink. Good food and place to chill out with friends witha view of perfect skyline

What an awesome little place for Italian! Was walking by to go somewhere else and smelled this place, and I knew right away I had to try it. Had some Pasta, along with the tiramisu and friends had pizza. Everyone was so pleased. Its not fancy, but the flavors are just wonderful. Atmosphere is fun beside the ice rink. Overall great place I am sure I will be back to.

Super delicious! We had the cacio Pepe and Rigatoni Boscaiol. Clean flavours that weren t too rich or sickly in both dishes and perfectly cooked pasta. Arrived with generous sprinklings of Parmesan already on top. Decent sized portions to share with a little bit left over when we were happily stuffed. Cesar salad is not the typical creamy dressing affair, instead you can taste all the ingredients that go into a Cesar dressing without the heaviness. We shared a tiramisu for dessert and it was heavenly! Light, fluffy and well balanced; also big enough to share. Friendly service in a relaxed, cozy setting.

I was hoping for this restaurant to be good as the location and seating was really nice But . The food is actually not that good :( We ordered the regular margarita Pizza and ordered a Cacio Pepe. The pizza was best at average and had no taste to it expect for the cheese. The noodles were over cooked and really spoiled my appetite. The server was nice enough to replace my order with another pasta which was better than the Cacio Pepe Overall the food here was average and not worth the pricing. I would definitely go to the Joey s restaurant right next to them. Sorry Nook

Great waterfront location. Excellent pizzas and pasta. If you are craving Italian, you cant go wrong.

Food was late and burnt. I wish i could post a picture. Meatballs were ALL burnt on one side.
