Good food and service

I recently dined at White Spot on Lonsdale, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and perfectly prepared, living up to White Spot s classic comfort fare. The service was equally impressive, with the staff attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. A special shoutout to the manager, Pedram, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was very helpful, addressing our needs promptly and making the entire experience even better. The service here is exceptional, it is the second time I got attended by this gentleman and is remarkably good for big tables and dealing with kids!

Missed one of five orders so one person had to wait while the other four proceeded with their meals. Manager & waiter apologized and made good by comping the meal. Overall quite happy with our visit.

Sometimes slow service but 1 server in bar side has bad attitude. (Update now hes gone) Major rodent problem in parking lot area. Very serious. Im frankly disappointed with how the menu has been thrashed by the team that is obviously cutting back. Whitespot is cutting there best plates to cheap out. They took off seafood fettuccine alfredo. Omg it was probably the best and last good pasta plate left on the menu. Now they have replaced it with a sad shrimp plate. Very disappointing. White Spot youre starting to lose my business by cutting back way too much. Be smart add to your menu not take away.

Our waiter was amazing. Food came out quickly. I had eggs Benedict and it was hot and yummy. I was even offered more shredded potatoes and accepted. That is something White Spot does. Dietary restrictions: My friend ordered gluten free and said it was great.

Our server was incredible! Wish I got his name. He was witty and attentive.

Went for dinner tonight and our server Tim was very nice and had a good sense of humor. The food was pretty good, got to try their new menu tonight and I would definitely recommend the new yorkshire pudding appy. I would love to visit this white spot again in the future next time I come to the Vancouver area.

Five of us went for a birthday breakfast. Each one of us placed a different order and we were all disappointed. Our server was outright rude and very abrupt. No smiles, just threw the food on the table. She was short and probably in her 50s. Cant remember her name but her moms name is Ann. She yelled at the 2 year old that was with us and made him cry. So sad, it used to be a good restaurant.

Steelhead dish was gourmet! Server was warm and friendly.

Had an excellent experience at White Spot Lonsdale. The food was great, and the staff were absolutely fantastic ( specially Lorna). Highly recommend!

Okay place.

White Spot is an old favorite. Been going since I was a kid, and the menu has evolved beautifully over time with changing tastes. I would give it a 5 star if half fries half salad were put back on the menu as an option. I would be happy to pay the extra cost of a side salad and get half and half instead of doubling the side, which makes for waste..... just a thought! Vegetarian options: Had a nice selection of vegetarian options . More than just the one token item seen in many other places.

Not sure what happened to this White Spot used to be one of the nicer places to eat. Very disappointed with the cleanest of the place waitous had dirty outfit on used to come here as a kid, but not no more it has totally gone downhill

We came here for breakfast. I wasnt ready to order a drink but my friend asked for water and the server only brought one glass of water and when we got our food there was this big hair stuck to my friend s food and we had to change it. I had to eat alone slowly until his food comes again. The experience was ruined. Wont come here again

Had a great time there-once with friends, and twice with family-the kids loved the milkshakes and my daughter enjoyed the chicken stripes from the kids menu- my son had the steak which was quite good-I tried the green salad which was okay. My daughter had a ranch sauce by her meal, which she didnt eat. However, I tried some and didnt like the taste. My wife had their Alfredo pasta and said it was good.to sum it up, the food was quite good, but the plus goes to the nice atmosphere and friendly personnel Parking: A good number of parking spaces in front of the entrance

We got there at end of the day Pretty much. .server was awesome.Did not catch his name guy with a beard.Very nice guy and we asked him to bring our order faster.And we were super hungry.He did it and it was awesome experience. At this location.

Always great service and food!

Tim is the best staff I had ever met in Canada! My friend and I came in for dinner and he knew everything that we are looking for. He works very well with kids as well and was able to make our day. Smart, friendly, reliable, thoughtful thank you Tim! Kid-friendliness: Tim works very well with kids and your needs. He won t disappoint you.

I dont know how or when but the food and service at this place has gone from an 8 to a 1. Just horrible. Either you get over cooked or undercooked food, obnoxious servers, rediculous wait times. And dont even get me going about take out. You get it home and it appears to have been sitting cold for hours. When you call to complain nobody is accountable for the absolute garbage you paid for. My suggestion is go to Burger King. Somehow their food is ten times better now. Mr Toigo really needs to get a reality check. His business has fallen off a cliff.

White Spot is consistent. But nowadays its just mostly consistently overpriced. Food was fine, service was fine.

Getting takeout feels like terrible service; once they know youre picking up, the staff tend to ignore you and focus on other tasks.

Have always loved White Spot since I was a kid, but this one is very good. My burger was a fussy special order, and it was done perfectly. And it was HOT! Good job!

Wonderful service

We picked the food up ( carry out) . I had a clubhouse with shrimp as an extra topping . It was massive and very good . My wife had a burger and also enjoyed her lunch . $52 though . Prices are crazy .

I love the location. Staff is wonderful and coffee is amazing as well as the food choiceswould recommend it for a quiet coffee meeting or just hanging out.

This particular white spot is consistently good. Their food and service are reliable and dependable. We usually order burgers at white spot which they are known for. I would have given 5 stars if the service were faster. The restaurant was busy and there were not enough staff on hand to take care of us quickly. In any case the service we did get was quite good. It just took a while.

Your average food, but the service was terrible. They had a manager in there and kept on giving us weird looks and wouldn t let us enjoy our food and slowly pushed us out and when we left said oh, have a great New Year s, in a very sarcastic manners. I ordered delivery from White Spot and was impressed with the order experience. I got milkshakes as well as food, so I really appreciated the separate bags for these cold and hot items (which is not always the case at other restaurants). Food was warm and as described on the menu. Will be back!

Just had a chicken penne alfredo pasta. Pasta was broken in pieces and didn t have a good taste.

We needed a quick stop for food. Service was fast, and the food was hot and fresh.

When I moved to Vancouver in 1994, I thought, Lets see what all the talk is about, because people raved about White Spot. So I visited one, and was less than impressed with the fare. The food was soooo bland. But I figured maybe I would try again, because everyone has a less than great day. So I tried one in Surrey, one on Vancouver Island, and of course, the Ferries serve White Spot food, and another on in Vancouver, all with the same conclusion - I did not like any of them. So, when a friend invited me to go to the White Spot in North Van, I thought, Well, at least they have alcohol, and I will be among friends. And, off I went again, to another White Spot. It was different from the moment I walked through the doors - a very warm and welcoming atmosphere - maybe because it was not long before Christmas and they had Christmas music playing *softly* - just loud enough to hear, but it didnt drown out conversation. The staff were very genuine - funny too. Our server, whose name I cant recall, didnt have to try to be friendly, he just was. Then came the moment when I decided to order food to accompany my absolutely delicious glass of BC VQA white wine (which had a rich, crisp taste, and gorgeous bouquet and surprised the heck out of me because it was Jackson Triggs which I had not really enjoyed before, but *this* Sauvignon Blanc was clearly the right choice for me). And I decided to have a bacon cheddar burger because at least the bacon would probably be okay. Wow, was I ever surprised when I bit into it! It was absolutely delicious!! I could barely believe my taste buds! Suffice to say that not only did I enjoy my meal, but I finally found a White Spot that I would consider returning to!

Service was better this time compared to last time

I ve been to almost all of the White Spots in Vancouver with my gaggle of children and this one is by far the best run. Impeccable service! Will be making this our family regular outing.

Well. It s a family restaurant so you can have different experiences. Tonight was a bit noisy due to lots of kids but that is the white spot. Had a burger because, well burgers. Food was great and so was the service. Will be back as we do.

The waitress only came to our table three times and it was really slow she didnt even ask how our food was until another worker came and asked us and that was when we were finished eating! this is the second worse experience Ive had at white spot. . . . hopefully next time when I go to this one our waitress would be a lot better

The food was good, but the server lady wasnt very cool. She pretty much accused us going to dine and dash, right to our face. Saying she wanted us to pay at the table, cause she doesnt want to chase us down the street. It wasnt cute, and it wasnt funny. We wont be going back. This happened at january 19th 2023 at table 55 at 8:24pm the servers name was Linda.

Since it wasnt a busy time, I felt that I could relax and stay as long as I wanted. New Pulled Pork Macaroni and Cheese with a salad was delicious, as was my next visit for Nats Hearty Breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausages, half waffle and fruit

Everything looks BUT for such a nice place you guys have to find better music. Something more quite and nice than just regular modern stuff that are on a radio

Great breakfast option with ypscale services.

Our family always likes coming to White Spot Lonsdale esp for Sunday brunches. However, the door mechanism for disabled access has been out since December 2022 to February 2023! The concrete flooring is also uneven but seems to have little attention paid to it. Having a disabled family member, we are quite particular about such hazards.

We regularly attend this restaurant and always have a very positive experience. Compared to other locations, their fries are usually warm and fresh. Everything is delicious and well made. Vegetarian options: They have vegan and vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: You can order the burgers gluten free- either on a bun or lettuce wrap which is my favourite. Parking: They have a parking lot. Kid-friendliness: Lots of things for the little humans.

Great location to go for lunch great service

I have been going here since I was 2 and have always loved it and was always my favorite family restaurant. Very amazing food for a good price.

The server didnt seem to want to work and wasnt friendly at all. For the first time ever, we werent allowed to order a pirate pak for my daughter. Mind you, the age for pirate pak is age 10 and under and shes 14. However, she eats child-size menu items. I personally have been able to order a pirate pak for myself with no problem at other locations when Im not hungry enough for a regular-size meal.

Not sure when one waffle became $15 when waffle batter is probably 30 cents. Service was so slow. It took our server forever to get anywhere and back and he was extremely unfriendly.

Friendly staff, good collection of food. Atmosphere is good too. The food taste tho is mediocre and greasy. Whitespot is a good franchise but it s probably time for a menu overhaul and healthier options and processes in food prep.

We ordered takeout. Three hamburgers and two orders of dipping chicken. Only one of the three hamburgers was correct. The other two were either missing items or had something they that was not ordered. Probably the worst thing was the coleslaw. Four of the provided coleslaws weren t even half full. The fifth coleslaw was rotten and full of sour liquid. The order was a waste of money.

Masks are no longer mandatory. I understand personal preference is a must but, to be lied to by the manager that there were no mandatory requirements yet all but one employee (the very sweet hostess) was wearing one.

6 of us all had various dishes, mine was seafood fettuccine. All were well received. $160.00, no booze, appetizers or dessert. The white spot isnt getting any cheaper but its a good spot for a family lunch as everyone can get what they want.

Pirate Pak day is awesome

Everytime I order food through doordash and pay extra fees for additional items like cheese sauce, the store keeps forgetting it. This is a constant issue. If it was free I would understand but I pay for those additional items. Food is good, service needs to stay on top and take accountability.

The money I paid there is worth it.

In town for the weekend. Excited to try this place! Inside for over 10 mins and not one person acknowledged us, althrough plenty saw us standing there! We decided to seat ourselves as it wasnt busy, waitress made eye contact, walked by 3 times, not once even acknowledged us. We got up to leave and no one even batted an eye. We left to find another Whitespot close by (Brooks Bank) and the service and food were amazing. Couldnt be more disappointed with this Lonsdale location. Just awful.

Went in after the dinner rush for a bite. Our service was great but the food was lacking. Legendary burger was dry and over cooked. Fries were more like hash brown size. They ran out of chowder which was disappointing. Overall I dont think Ill be back for a while considering at the price point theres much better options out there. They need to do better.

Enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal at the White Spot on Lonsdale today! The food was fresh and tasty, and our server, Linda, was amazing! She was very quick on her feet and managed to provide efficient service, despite being responsible for many tables! Well done, Linda, and thank you for doing an amazing job! =)

Took my Grown Son to lunch on Saturday November 19th. I had the BC Chicken Burger and my Son had the BC Bacon. The food was absolutely fantastic!! The service was just as good! 5 Stars all around. Thank you White Spot NV.

Great Salad with chicken.

Served its purpose

Ordered the Louisiana chicken sandwich for take out. The fried chicken was non existent. The sandwich consisted of pieces of burnt breading. Literally inedible. Very disappointed.

Not good quality burgers compared to their prices! The fries were also awful. Couldnt eat them at all.
