Yummy Donair and Kebab in North Vancouver

Very clean kitchen and delicious food.

The food is highly underrated, and the staff are incredibly hospitable and friendly. I m already looking forward to coming back the next time I m in Northvan

I unilaterally declare that this is the best restaurant in North Vancouver. No one can eat like this at this price. I will be full after skiing.

The food might be decent, but the staff is infuriating! That scrawny girl at the counter always has this miserable scowl on her face, like she cant stand anyone. There s zero friendliness no smiles, no thanks, nada! It s like they despise their jobs and the customers too! What s their problem?

Food was good, Cashier was rude and unwelcoming.

I think this business has been sold to new owners because the kebab is now AWFUL! SO DRY and TASTELESS also the consistency of the kebab doesnt even feel like meat!

The kebab of this shop was not really occupied and could not be eaten. The grill that I bought from this store just looks like it grilled the flour occupation occupation and occupation

Very cheap and poor customer service and customer has to be paying for bread they have to pay for onions. They have to pay for everything it s supposed to be bread and onion and vegetable come with the food like allrestaurant.

This place was very good in the first few years it opened then gradually went downhill. The worst is the lady with glasses at the cashier with no smile, eye rolling and strange attitude like she hates being there then QUIT lady!! No one forcing you to work. Also the short middle aged guy making the Donairs is like having an angry battle with the Donair s He rushes it throws in random portions and wraps it terribly. Slow down it s not even busy! The owner needs to know this sort of behaviour and attitude will cost him lots of customers.

Absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly.

Cashier woman was rude. No smile, no thank you and no hello . Felt like I was interrupting her because I wanted to order. I was excited to try the food but her attitude ruined the experience. The donairs were actually really good and I recommend it. If the business reads this, I would def change the cashier or train her on customer service ASAP. You don t want her greeting new potential customers in the future

The staff is not very attentive. Feels like they re doing a favor by giving food. And the Chicken Donair has quite a lot of chewy fat pieces. I usually expect lean meat in donair. If it weren t for the sauce, I wouldn t have been able to eat it. Perhaps their Kebabs are good. I could give those a try and update my review.

Got the lamb platter was very filling for only like 14$ or something. Tons of meat rice and hummus. The salad was ok but everything else was really good, lamb so juicy and the hummus tastes so good. Recommend the sangak bread, its like 16 sq ft of bread for like 4 bucks cant go wrong Parking: Parking lot across the street from a&w, or just park at a&w and walk over.

It is a cute and cozy family restaurant in North Van; every time I order the platter, I bring leftovers home, Ive never had a bad experience with them, if youre in the area its a must!

This place used to be my fav spot to go but the couple of times I went there, the quality has definitely declined. Today was definitely last straw for me. I tried it again today hoping that it will be ok but I was wrong. I even asked the lady in the cashier to make sure my food is hot because of my past experience. Obviously she didnt even bother caring,the guy whos putting things together didnt even bother re-mixing the meat that is sitting in a food warmer insert. I got the food, tried it and truth be told it was lukewarm at best. I grabbed the guys attention and talked to him about it, I explained to him about my opinion about the food that I got so he hurried back in the kitchen, re-tossed everything, grabbed a brown box container and brought it to me, dropped it on my table like he dropped a freaking bomb. I told him I dont need a replacement for it, Im just letting you know for the next customer. Hes response was, what do you want now? Beef or lamb? Then hurried back inside slamming the kitchen door. In all my years (13+years) in the culinary industry (currently working as a Sous Chef of CactusClub), this is definitely the poorest taste of kitchen experience Ive received in a restaurant. I didnt get his name since they dont have nametags but hes middle-aged man wearing glasses. That man shouldnt handle customers comment at all.

I came here for the second time, and was happy to enjoy the same delicious donair I had the first time. I ordered the beef donair, and it took around 8 minutes to come out (it was a little busy at the time). The wrap was packed with a generous amount of beef which was seasoned to perfection and cooked just to the point where it was full of juice and flavour. The amount of each condiment (lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, tzatziki, garlic sauce, hot sauce) was balanced so that the flavour of each bite had a nice dynamic of texture and flavours. My one small criticism is that there was too much tomato for me, which slightly overpowered some of the other flavours while also making the wrap a bit wet in some places. This was fixed by taking out one tomato slice, so not a big problem. The service was good, nothing too crazy but not bad. The lady at the counter makes sure she gets your order correct and confirms it with you. However, their machine did not work with tap payment and I was disappointed to see it still did not after dealing with the same issue three months ago when I went the first time. Contactless payment like Apple Pay is becoming more popular these days, and they might lose customers due to not accepting tap. The atmosphere is average, like any other donair shop. Theres enough seating that you wont have to worry about finding a place to sit, and there is a bar with all of the condiments youd need. It was relatively clean, but I still noticed some dirt here and there. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a reliable, affordable donair restaurant. Would go again.

My absolute favorite place to eat in North Vancouver. The staff is polite and welcoming. The establishment is clean and I love that there is a clear view of the kitchen/ prep area. There are tables if youd like to stay in and eat. The food is worth every cent. I always order the chicken and beef platter. As for wait times, Ive never had to wait a very long time for my food. Always fresh, always hot.

I got the chicken donair and it seems it is not mixed well. All the chicken on one side and veggies on the other. Tasted very plain. Other than the food, the cashier was friendly and it looked like a nice place to eat

Had the mixed (lamb & chicken) Donair combo which comes with fries and a drink. The Donair is one of the best ever. Definitely yummy as the name says. Its very well done as they can jam so much stuff in that pita. Way bigger than a lot of donairs. They put it on the grill a little bit to crisp it up. Its very big and somehow it doesnt break and drip everywhere like some. They got some magical skills!

The sauces are hands down the best part of their food. The platters have become quite expensive though.

Double beef kabab with bread was amazing. Glad I found an excellent new halal place for kebabs. And the staff was very kind and helpful.

Negative reviews are true. The food here is terrible. Chicken is covered in fat, unseasoned, they add sauces to the donair but somehow everything tastes unflavoured and unseasoned and old. Not recommended.

AVOID. Really, really bad. I should have read the reviews first. I doubt the owners eat the food here because you can tell that theyre serving the lowest quality of food at a ridiculous price. $13 for a donair wrap that is 80% lettuce, falls apart and has strange meat with weird texture and zero flavour. Whats going on here? Do you even care? Shame.

Stay away, this place is a waste of money and you can find better food at the nearby Capilano Mall food court. Not trying to be rude but I hope the owners see this and the other negative reviews to use it as an opportunity to make a lot of needed improvements because right now, it doesnt taste good. Im not picky but youve really managed to make one of the worst donairs. Hopefully you can change that otherwise good luck.

Excellent donair/shawarma The food is fresh and on point. Prices are pushing the limit though, almost $20 by the time you leave a modest tip... You could sit down in a proper kebob house and have an agreeable meal for the same or less money, if you have the time

Really tasty kebob, the beef was juicy and flavorful. The huge chunk of onion was a bit difficult to deal with though, i would have cut that up

Update your door dash / Ubereats descriptions and add some detail. Joojeh platter means nothing when there is no description, no photo, and no options for the sides that s not a platter it s customer annoyance

The family experience 100% above and beyond. Took excellent care of us, the grilled tomatoes are the best in the city!

Been going here since it s opening. yesterday took a Koobideh for take out and they brought my food outside and they gave me a sweet (baghlava) at no charge! I found this nice gesture very kind and makes me want to go back and recommend!

Myself and my husband went here and ordered 2 lamb donairs. They went ahead and made 2 donairs while we were standing there and never asked anything about toppings or sauces. So, I have spend $30 for 2 donairs with toppings on it I cannot stand and loaded with hot sauce which I dont like. When I questioned why no one asked me what i wanted on it, they stated they asked at the beginning when we paid which they did not and then informed me that next time I need to tell them my toppings at the till when I pay. It has been a very long time since I have been so appalled such a lack of customer service. I would give negative stars if I could. I Don not recommended since the people making it cant even speak English.

Good food in a nice and clean restaurant. I like their mixed beef and chicken wrap with a side of fries and garlic dip. They have a good drink selection as well.

It s for couple time that when I order online and give my own instructions they do whatever they want. For couple times I ordered chicken donair ask for all sauce on that even they wrote themselves on the donair bag but again there is NO sauce on that. Today was the 4rd time!

If you re looking for a great late night kebab served by great people, this is the place for it. Most places in the North Shore are closed early in the evening but this place is always busy with a steady stream of people coming for pick up and dine in. A North Vancouver staple you ll never get tired of.

I don t recommend the place, bad food zero Costomer service, they don t know how to cook the chicken they gave me half cooked chicken, it can be very dangerous any how i didn t eat my order, I told staff they seems like they don t care, and health BC is sleeping they should shut down the place like this.

Very fresh donair and very reasonable pricing. One of the very places that are open till late. They verbally confirmed that all of their meats are halal. I got lamb and beef donair fries. Donair was fresh and chips were hot.

When paying for donair, make sure to see prices in the menu, because they may overcharge you. I had that bad experience with them.

Absolutely scrumptious! Yummy Donair and Kebob exceeded my expectations in every way. The flavors were out of this world, with perfectly seasoned meat and delectable sauces. Great food, but the cashier did not seem to like her job. We had 3 orders to eat in and 1 order to go. We specifically asked for the to- go order to be ready later. She choose not to hear us and when we asked her about it she just give us the cold shoulder. A simple smile goes a long way in customer service. Food

We went here after completing the grouse grind on a Sunday afternoon. There weren t anyone dining in but they had a steady flow of takeout orders. The staff was polite when it came to taking our orders. I loved how they have a huge array of different soft drinks in the fridge. There were ants crawling on the countertop, so if you are squeamish it might not be for you. The food came out piping hot. The skewers were cooked perfectly. The chicken was seasoned well and juicy. The fries was hot and had a nice crunch. The portions were huge, so come hungry. I wished they had more sauce. It would have been perfect if they had a white sauce or red sauce. This is something that Toronto donair spots would have. They had sriracha, ketchup, sriracha mayo on the table.

Ive eaten here many many times over the years and I have never once been disappointed.

Avoid this place.I went there yesterday to order beef and chicken mix platter. I requested extra rice because the rice they put in the platter is very little. The lady with the glasses at the counter told me that she will charge me like $3 extra for that which I was Ok with, but immediately she told the guys preparing the meal they start murmuring to one another in their language while looking at me. The cashier lady then told me they don t have enough rice. I was shocked to hear that because it is not like I was getting the rice for free but was paying for the extra amount. It was like they don t care what I wanted. Also the men preparing the meal and the lady at the cashier they are very rude and unfriendly. There is only one lady who at least is friendly. I am not going back there again.

This restaurant provides a combination of Persian and Turkish food. The place is not fancy, but food is decent. You have the option of getting foods as a wrap, with bread, or with rice. You can find yogurt drink here as well.

I was at Yummy on Saturday and it was very crowded. We waited a long time to receive the food. I had a question about the food and the cashier explained it to me in detail. They gave us baklava on the side.

I believe his name is Alireza and he super nice and would love to give him credit for being super friendly and supportive. they would have less bad reviews if they could simply care a bit about adapting to different tastes. In any other food places they get that some people prefers some dressings or less of rice, etc... even with subway, McDonalds, etc... you can customise to no end. Customers are totally ok with paying extra dollars for extra bits of this or that. Why cant they just understand people are not robots and have different needs. Do they even understand English? maybe I should just ask that first next time

Yummy says it all, generous portions, hot and delicious food service with a smile and a big screen tv on the wall showing tropical destinations, and playing EDM music. Vegetarian options: Falafel is delicious, so my wife says, lots of veggies in the donairs. Parking: Limited number of spots usually taken up by residents of the apartment across the street, but at least its free.

BEST hummus you will ever have! So creamy and delicious. You can buy a large order of it, and the sangak bread that s given with the platters (and you can order extra for $1) is the best bread! We always order the chicken donair platter supersized and it is such a generous portion for the price! Consistently good food every time. I had to write this review because this is my favourite donair/shawarma joint, the service is great, and they always hook it up! Thanks for everything!

This place is anything but yummy! Food quality and consistency has become absolutely deplorable these last few months - please don t make the mistake of giving this place as many chances as I did hoping for any improvement in taste or service. Staff very rarely bothers to follow simple instructions/notes on all online orders and management rudely refuses to address concerns due to carelessness. It s truly a waste of time and money giving this place business considering the great variety of donair and kabob options we have available in the area.

If you are Turkish, Persion, or you have ever eaten a real Döner in your life, just do not eat from here. It is not right to call the thing they served as Döner. Probably I will never eat Döner in Canada ever again. Go Türkiye to eat a real Döner.

I had an awful experience at this restaurant. The staffs behavior was unacceptable they treated me poorly, and the sandwich they served seemed fit for animals. They ignored my order, and when I pointed out the mistake, instead of apologizing, they chose to mock me. A truly disappointing and disrespectful encounter.No one who has self respect will ever go there again.
