Great food eggs were amazing

This place never ceases to woww you! One of the best breakfast places uptown. This cozy cornerplace has a decent menu and a wonderful staff. Serving with a smile, this place also is pocket-friendly! Give it a try for sure.

I give then 5 stars for their food because Ive always loved when I ordered from them with Uber. Today was the first day I decided to eat there with my family. I arrived with my family at 3 and the website said it closes at 4. When I arrived it said it closed at 3.30 so I still had half an hour. When I walked in they told my family and I they were closing early today and we could only do take out because they didnt want to do the clean up. I might order from them again some time but Im not gunna waste my time going for their sucky service.

The food was old school in a good way, nice portions. Love the rye toast & sweet potato fries. The coffee is delicious. Good place for a dependable breakfast. Kid-friendliness: This restaurant welcome families to relax and enjoy a meal together.

We had a great experience! The team was welcoming and smiling. The breakfast was served quickly and was delicious. I 100% recommend coming here for breakfast.

I order from here for office events on a regular basis. The food is amazing, it always arrives on time and is an office favourite.

I usually come here with my friends for brunch but we had a really horrible experience today. We ordered water for the table and we never received it. It took a long time for someone to take our order but we didn t mind the long wait. It was only when our server got my order completely wrong (I wanted to sub my potatoes for toast but they gave me the potatoes and put my eggs Benedict on the toast instead of the English muffin). When it arrived, I immediately told them I didn t order potatoes. They told me they d bring me the bread separately which I didn t really want since I hate wasting food and there was already so much I couldn t eat. The bread never arrived, we still didn t have water, and nobody came to our table for 30 minutes. Finally, we called a server over to tell them what happened, she went to go see what went wrong because I had ordered really clearly and she had understood what I wanted. She came back and told me she wrote the wrong thing so it was her fault. We waited another 20 minutes for the bill (there still wasn t water) and she said they wouldn t charge me for the bread that never came. I ended up having to just pack it home for a friend. I feel bad having to write this but this was a horrible way to handle a mistake and we will be looking for different breakfast options from now on.

Good burger

Its good, but for the price, imo, it should be better.

I ordered a burger from DoorDash, found a piece of plastic inside the bun while I was eating (the piece of plastic to tight up the bag of bun). Moreover, the patty was under seasoned and under cooked, the lettuce was also brown, First time also last time in this restaurant.

Had the meat lovers omelette. Kinda too slty for my tastes. Home fries couldve been cooked a little longer to soften it up. Staff is friendly. Thy have a good lunch special posted at front.

This restaurant is arguably the greatest thing to happen to north york. This is the quintessential breakfast diner that this community needs. I am truly grateful that a family business such as this exists so close to me. Although I have been unable to try anything outside of what I always get (three eggs, sausage and home fries). This restaurant surely does every item well. Everything this restaurant stands for is what makes the city of Toronto great. I m writing this review before I have received my food. But I have been here multiple times and that s why I just feel compelled to write this review. Sunshine spot simply delivers exactly what it s meant to deliver. Honest food at honest prices

I ve eaten here several times and can honestly say this restaurant has absolutely incredible food from savoury to sweets. The breakfast and sandwiches are out of this world. The food is cooked so clean and fresh. It s a treat every time I eat here. The servers are all so kind and warm best hidden spot in North York. Trust me try it out shout out to the chefs.

Needs improvement . It was my first time trying this restaurant, I ordered from Uber Eats. My biggest complaint is that my scrambled eggs had some small egg shells in it, and I also found a very small piece of hair in the hollandaise sauce. I think the chef needs to pay better attention when cooking the food. Other than that, the food came on time and was presented nicely. But if this is how the food is usually prepared, then I m not sure I d like to eat here again.

The moment you enter this place it smells of black mold and mildew. Had breathing problems in minutes. The food is also horrific and tastes of mildew and rot. This place needs to be closed permanently

This place doesn t deserve the one star but I had to choose it. IF YOU RESPECT YOUR HEALTH you would never ever go to this place. One order had missing egg and bacon the other order was totally wrong. The potato was burnt, supposedly was homemade but didn t taste like potato. The dishes were dirty. The chef proved that you can mess up a simple egg breakfast recipe.

I have been a. customer of SSS spot for many years. The staff are warm, cheerful and friendly and the food has always been excellent! I love my three times weekly breakfasts! I will be a customer for life and the staff will be friends for life! Good luck! Anne

Its a casual atmosphere. You might need to remind them what your order was a couple of times! But the food is good. For 6 orders, we paid $150 (including tax and tip)

My husband and I come here regularly for breakfast on the weekends. It is a great spot for fast, reliable and good food. Portion sizes are good and the food is made fresh to order. It is a diner and you get exactly that. The service is always excellent.

terrible place

Ok let s start with I love this place and have been coming here for many many years. The staff are always warm and welcoming and remember me regardless of how long it has been since my previous visit. Plenty of space to sit and well laid out so you are comfortable. If you come at breakfast rush hour or on special holidays you may well have to queue so I would recommend going early. The whole family can find an excellent selection of food we love and a shout out to the coffee, so often coffee in cafes is rough but theirs is lovely. I could eat anything on the menu but love the big breakfasts as they satisfy my hunger and make me happy! Plenty of parking out front making it easily accessible. If you are in the area get yourself there! Parking: Good size parking can be busy in eating rush hour but I have always been able to park. Kid-friendliness: Loads of kid options and mine love the chocolate milk.

Food was average. They didnt seem too concerned about checking vaccine status though when we were there. Service was very good.

This review is a summary of two separate visits. The first time was take out and the second time was dine in. Both times we got all day breakfast, it was decent. However, the reason why I gave it 3 stars was how dishonest , or potential up charge, they might be doing. The first time we got take out, we went there before 10AM, which we should qualify for their early bird breakfast but they charged us the regular price. However, back then we didnt know they have an early bird pricing! It wasnt until the next time we went to the plaza to line up for Toro Fish that we saw their ads for their early bird pricing! The second time, we dinned in. The food was decent, it satisfy your oily breakfast craving but I over heard the cash over charged another customer. Good thing that customer knew his pricing and corrected the cash. After this time, I might not come back anymore, two up charge incidents during my two visits... Either someone is really bad at math or it is something else.

Horrendous food! Ordered through Uber eats and it seems like other people that ordered through Uber eats had the same horrible experience! Dry food, hard stale fries.. don t even get my started. Chicken wrap with OLD BLACK lettuce, none of the ingredients stated, and old crumbs they called chicken . Old burnt black bacon no sauce, half the ingredients listed missing couldn t eat the food. What an absolute joke. I wish i could rate 0.

Staff was great. It s important that they are attentive to tables when we are dining in. Very friendly and always smiling. Food was amazing, our table tried omelettes, pancakes, waffles and other breakfast foods. All of it tasted amazing this is a local place for us so we ll definitely be coming back!

Their prices on Uber eats are doubled. Wouldn t trust food at such a shady place. If you can t afford to be on Uber eats without charging $30 for a wrap get off it

This is my favourite breakfast spot in the area. The server is always quick, kind and courteous. My favourite dish is the eggs Benedict, everything down to the Hollandaise sauce is perfect. Breakfast is an easy thing to make however not all breakfast spots have mastered it like this chef. The open kitchen concept allows you to see him cook your food, which is an added bonus. Highly recommend.

I work in the neighbourhood and there isnt a lot of food options. But theres no need for options, because I keep coming back. I enjoy eating breakfast food here (or takeout). Good food, decent prices.

I love local breakfast/brunch spots. But I have to say I was a little disappointed with the meal here. Only dislike was the home fries. Wish it had more seasoning. Unfortunately, theres a wimpys dinner down the street which does things a bit better. But otherwise, if youre in the area, this a good place for brunch. And definitely take advantage of the early bird deadea always worth iit

Went around 2 P.M. and got a house burger cos I didnt feel like breakfast food. Tasted clean and fresh like the way itd be done in a home kitchen. The water and the cup it came in were dirty (black specs) so I skipped on that. Its a decent place, but I wouldnt go back unless I were craving something super specific from the breakfast menu. The atmosphere was friendly, chill and pleasant though.

Was searching for breakfast options and decided to give this place a try. The bench I sat on had the bottom broken so it sank in the rear. Surfaces were sticky, the salt shaker was especially gross, (used hand sanitizer and the one napkin the utensils were wrapped in to try and clean it, the whole napkin ended up grey and the shaker was still sticky) The food was okay (steak medium and poached eggs, home fries with a side of hollandaise and an English muffin and orange juice) , but given the price, the portions somewhat stingy. Have had a better experience at chain restaurants. Only good thing was no crowd

Great service and attention from the staff. We had a great time on our breakfast / brunch there and we really enjoyed the plates. The Benedict Eggs were pretty good and the French Toast ordered by my wife was good amd fresh. The service was fast and the staff really helpful. We paid a fair price for a breakfast for two. Besides that, the place was clean and the tables being sanitized just after the customers left. The place is nice and worth the stop.

So nice breakfast

Cajun steak is not Cajun at all. But not a bad steak, just no seasoning or Cajun style toppings. The eggs were a little overcooked but understandable with takeout. All in all not a terrible experience but did not impress at all.

I brought their Strawberry Nutella Waffle and it was so delicious definitely was my favorite . Thank you so much for making a delicious breakfast .

Been here since I was in my early teens with my mom and brother. Food is always amazing and for a good decent price. Love the steak with eggs Benedict. Will always be my choice of dish when I come.

Delicious, good quality food. The sandwiches are amazing. Dessert crepe is amazing. Haven t had a bad experience and I order take out from here every other week.

So order the Super 8 and Breakfast Special plus 2 coffees. Wow. Food was luke warm, home fries under cooked, bacon fatty, sausage greasy and pancakes no taste. Get this Coffee was $4.50 per cup and again luke warm. Total bill $32.00. What a waste.

Friendly staff and fast service. Were here most weekends, pretty much regulars now . The all day breakfast is our go to order and our son usually gets the kids waffles with chocolate milk. Very good value for the portions you receive. One time, I ordered outside of my usual breakfast and got the peppercorn burger thinking it was going to be a thin patty, it was a giant burger and was delicious! Better than most burger joints. I will be ordering out of my usual to taste more of the menu. Keep it up! We love your spot.

We ordered two salmon eggs Benedict s. The potatoes were raw, the salmon pretty low quality, and the sauce just a salty mess. I haven t returned food for years, but I called and they agreed to a refund. Upon returning they were being very difficult and ended up refusing a refund because their cash register was closed . What s even worse than wasting my time after calling me in was the fact that I SAW TWO OF THEIR CHEFS COOKING WITHOUT A MASK. If they re this petty about $30, you can only imagine how cheap they are with their food quality. I should ve eaten something of better quality like McDonalds.

The place was renovated a couple years ago and is now much better than what it used to be. The menu is a little pricey but the quality has improved. I really like the hungry man. I had requested for the eggs to be scrambled and fluffy. They were done perfectly. It was possible to share with the kids while we ate. Overall, I think they re doing quite well the place was very busy.

Great breakfast, fast service!

We enjoyed a nice Sunday breakfast here. The portions are a good size and the prices are great, especially given the area we were concerned the price for breakfast would be really high. The restaurant is a seat yourself environment and is very child friendly. In fact we were surprised at how many children were roaming around and saying hi, very cute. Food was great, I ordered too much, but the staff were great and able to give a takeout container for my leftover pancakes. The biggest meal they have is actually big and their hot sauce was a nice west Indian touch. My girlfriend enjoyed the well prices and well prepared eggs Benedict. One point of concern was what seemed like a lack of attention from wait staff. When we finished our meal no one came to pick up our plates until presumably after we had paid and left.

Have been ordering food from that place for quite a while now, but somehow the quality has gone down. I ordered grilled cheese today and after eating half of it i noticed there was mold on the bread. Beware people, after talking to the person who works there, i got a feeling that she knew about the problem but still served the moldy bread. Never gonna order from there again

This was my first ever time coming and I mostly enjoyed it. Service was pretty good and fairly fast. They served me water without me having to ask. Prices were moderately low too. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Im not a food critic, but I personally enjoyed the eggs benedict very much. However, I thought the home fries were bland.

Foods were good, nothing to complain. Servings were fast. Egg Benedict is something nice to have when you cant decide what to try.

Chill restaurant and staff, well prepared food, tons of breakfast options, all at a good a price. The interior isnt the nicest but still has a good vibe to it.

Its not bad for a quick bite. I had breakfast there. Got the skillet. It was cooked alright, but the cheese was not of great quality (probably one of those grated Black Diamond cheese blocks) and not melted with the rest of the food, so you can actually pick out individual pieces of grated cheese, which is not how Ive ever had any of my breakfast skillets before. Wasnt served on a skillet, but served on a plate, which is fine. But for what I paid, Id expect a little bit more, or for it to cost a little bit less. I have paid for really interesting and unique brunches that are of a similar price. So that was disappointing. The service was not bad though. Coffee was never empty. Food came out quick. The restaurant is clean. Parking is sufficient as theres not too many other restaurants/stores in that plaza competing for space. Overall would probably not come back again, not because it was bad, but I could probably find something of a similar quality at a lower price point, or pay a similar price point for something better. But in a pinch, it worked fine for that morning.

This place is an absolute gem! Amazing food, great and super fast service, big portion size and wonderful price! Can t say enough good things about this place! Will be back next time we are in Toronto.

Delicious and fast

Good food and service, the breakfast menu is rich and varied (see pictures). Its open seven days a week; starts at 7am and closes at 16:30. The prices does not fit in the affordable category and according to my personal appreciation its slightly overpriced sometimes, but overall the place offers very good value for money in a descent environment. Its located just above Besarion station on Sheppard Avenue across the street from Canadian Tire and Concords presentation center. Nearby, there is Shater Abbas kebab bistro, Subway, a Japanese Fish /Sushi market, a barber shop and a MEC store. A convenience store, Pizza Pizza and a pet gadget store are nearby as well.

Standard breakfast fare but well priced. Definitely would return.

Use to eat there when we lived in Thornhill and remembered they had great breakfast so visited when had a an appointment in the area.

Wonderful restaurant for breakfast brunch and lunch. Food was if amazing quality and served up fast. The portions are large so bring your appetite. Service was quick and friendly. Defently one of Torontos better breakfast spots. Looking forward to returning soon in the future.

Fantastic diner in the North York area. This diner is extremely busy regardless if it is week day or weekend. The prices here are very affordable, and for the quality of food you get, it is just a steal. I love their burgers. The cheese is nicely melted on top of the patty, and made fresh to order. This is a great spot for brunch and lunch. Highly recommend and its a great way to support local restaurants.

They have a great mexican breakfast special if you might like spicy? Fairly busy on some occasions. Highly recommendable.

Friendly staff. Portion was big. Skillet was tasty but Big big was okay and a little pricey, each 13.99$. And there is a thing that I didn t like, the chefs didn t use any gloves and they made and prepared the food without any disposable gloves. It s not hygienic.
