Fuwa Fuwa is the largest North American souffle dessert cafe. Fuwa Fuwa means fluffy fluffy. Apart from pancakes, we also serves croffles, and other desserts like roll cakes, macarons, waffles, ice-cream as well as cheesecakes. Souffle pancakes, traditionally served during the wedding, nowadays it is served as breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea and desserts. Pairing it up with coffee and instagram, it makes your day happy.
Hands down the best pancakes in the world! If you ever get the chance to try them here, don’t miss it. The pancakes are fluffy, perfectly cooked, and just melt in your mouth. The toppings and flavors are spot-on, making every bite a delicious experience. I can’t recommend this place enough. A must-visit for any pancake lover!
I’ve given this store two chances, but both times left me disappointed. The first time, I got a very small cake for $24.99, which was not worth the price. The second time, they gave me the wrong cake flavor. When I called to resolve the issue, they told me to go back and exchange it myself. As a customer, I don’t think I should be responsible for their mistakes. This has happened more than once, and the store’s service and professionalism are very disappointing. Not recommended! they just call, but i don‘t think they have a good attitude for there mistakes
The pancakes are amazing, but the service here was slow. The place is a nice hole in the mall. I would go again, but expect to wait a long time.
Took 20 mins to get a single item out, with only one order queued ahead. This is unacceptable. The food was delicious but portion pancake and fruit syrup portion could have been more generous. Chic interior.
The Japanese pancakes were delicious. This is the first time we’ve had soufflé pancakes, they were excellent. The food took about 25 minutes to prepare which was unexpected but overall we were quite happy.
Had the most delicious Japanese pancakes, waffles (cookies and cream) and 2 drinks (milk tea). Great value. Lovely place to sit and eat and the nicest lady working there today. Will definitely have to come back and try more from the menu. So many options for everyone. Next time I will try the sandwiches on waffles.
Pancakes were delicious, and came out very quickly. They have lots of variety in pancakes compared to other locations. The staff are friendly and when you enter, someone comes to give you a menu. Seating is limited but it’s cozy and nice for taking photos.
The pancakes are nicely presented and taste okay, but the price just kills any thought of returning. Worth trying once if you've never had souffle pancakes before, but there are definitely better options out there for the same prices.
Only one person serving many costumers! It took her 40mins to prepare 2 pancakes. She overcharged my card and had to pay back the extra amount once I explained it to her. Very suspicious. Stay away!
The soufflé was delicious. When I went there, no one was serving the food very quickly, but I felt that the soufflé was a bit slumped. It didn t feel like it was freshly made, but it didn t affect my occasional cravings.
I ordered Matcha latter which taste good and their special tiramisu. The taste of pancake overweight tiramisu which wasn t bad but it was pricey and not worth it. Overall, you may try once and once only!
The souffle is very puff and taste.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with an experience I had at your store on Monday. My mobile phone battery was very low, and I simply wished to charge it briefly using my own charger. However, one of your female employees informed me in an unfriendly tone that I was not allowed to charge my phone unless I made a purchase. I found her manner unprofessional and rude, and this left me with a negative impression of your store. As a customer, I believe that a little courtesy and understanding go a long way in creating a welcoming environment. I had intended to make a purchase later on, but the unpleasant interaction discouraged me from doing so. I hope you will address this issue with your staff to ensure a more positive experience for customers in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to seeing improvements in customer service at your store.
The Earl Grey cheesecake was incredible. A little pricey but really good, we really enjoyed it. Across from T&T, in a bland mall, so its not very exciting ambiance wise, but that cheesecake was good. We will return.
Pancakes are soft, fluffy and delicious!!!
Hot Chocolate very disappointing.
the company that treats people so rudely. Go
The signature pancake is so good!! especially with the matcha ice cream
You pay for slush of fruits, you get a mix of ice and various syrups. It is a big scam.
There was spilled water and thry just gave us a payper towel and made us clean it. It was expensive and nothing special
Not a good choice for drinks. We didnt order desserts, our group ordered 5 drinks. The watermelon juice tasted like they added so much water there wasnt much watermelon flavour. The pineapple slush tasted bad, it was thrown out after a few sips. May come back to try desserts but definitely not coming back for drinks.
The baseupe slice is a lot smaller than I expected. Its got some burnt bits, but its not worth the $7.09.
Pancake is average. Server is nice. HOWEVER, SERVICE IS SO SLOW.
Oh my..... it melts in your mouth Taste like a dreamy cloud...made me very happy Food
I will recommend Fuwa Fuwa to my friends We have been eating at fuwa fuwa so many times in different locations. BUT Not the one in Fairview mall is the worst. We had under cooked pancakes. They don t even want to fix the problems. We want fluffy pancakes not doughy pancakes!!!
Compared to other locations this Fuwa Fuwa is terrible. Frequently undercooked and burnt, they dont compensate by making a new one for you and are combative if you tell them its not consistent. Try a different location, youll be much happier.
Awazing pancakes and soufflés itt just perfect and the amosphere is relaxing and aesthetic. The service was not the best service but it was not bad at all imo not very affordable but a good price I mean for what your getting !!
We got the tiramisu pancake which was very good!
Delicious Pancakes and Friendly Staff; the service could be quicker, but the waiting time was OK.
Amazing croffles!!! Will come back for the pancakes :)
I went to other locations of Fuwa Fuwa many times and then I came across to try this location. It was very bad experience for this location! believing its a franchise shop, the food and drink were very bad. Not gonna come here again.
Very delicious pancakes, the batter was very fresh and tasty, and very fluffy! Would recommend the cookies and cream pancakes. Food
This is a cute little cafe inside Fairview mall . I had the burnt cheesecake and Nutella pancakes. IT WAS HEAVENLY. The staff was so kind here.
Food portion is so small.
Took 35 minutes to make one small pepperoni pizza. Incredibly slow.
Great dessert place; I would highly recommend the crème brûlée pancake!
We tried every types of pancakes. All of them are good and fluffy. I enjoyed all the flavors.
Finally tried Fuwa Fuwa and got ourselves a tiramisu....and honestly I cant wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. The tiramisu was packed with flavors mind you the fluffiness of the pancake will send your tongue into confusion based on how it melts easily in your mouth. I forgot which coffee drink that I went for but will definitely update on the second visit.
Nice and cozy place with very delicious puffy pancakes.
I don t have a problem about the food and atmosphere, but to the service omg it takes so long for them to prepare the food, to think I ordered only their signature pancake but it takes like 30 mins before they served it. Can t recommend if you are in a hurry or even willing to wait coz its really takes time. Their SERVICE is VERY DAD!!!!
The worst service for one order it takes more or less 30mins! How long they can cook 2 pancake? The Server keeps looking like we are not waiting and the cashier who keeps saying 5 minutes! And the one who is next to us got their order first and finished first! They didn t even say anything or apologies for the wait! nothing at all!
The pancakes are really delicious, super soft and spongy. I recommend the two that I have tried: strawberry and tiramisu.
Fuwa Fuwa Dessert Cafe offers a delightful experience with their unique and delicious desserts. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing treat. The desserts themselves are beautifully presented and taste amazing, with a variety of options to satisfy any sweet tooth. The staff are friendly and provide great service. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, Fuwa Fuwa Dessert Cafe is a must-visit for dessert lovers looking for something special.
I ordered to go croffle the other day. It was burnt under. We have to throw away
The slowest place I have ever seen not gonna lie
I enjoyed the most fluffy waffles at this location. It was devine! Delicious and light. The fruit was fresh. Its on special now so go get yours! The atmosphere was quiet and a perfect break from shopping at Fairview Mall.
Good croffle sandwiches and the OG Japanese fluffy pancakes. I definitely want to try their other pancake flavours but I thought their drinks were a bit overpriced and just average in terms of flavour. The restaurant is very small since its located in Fairview Mall, which also gets quite busy, so we were lucky to get seats (it got full right after we sat) on a busy weekend.
Food was good
The taste is pretty good, just that the serving speed is too slow. Parking: Fairview mall s parking Kid-friendliness: Children will like it
Fuwa Fuwa Dessert Cafe sets a modern tone for a dessert cafe experience with its bright colours, wooden theme, and a charming section accented with flowers against a green backdrop. Since it was my first time trying their fluffy Japanese-style pancakes, we thoroughly reviewed the menu, which consisted mostly of sweet items. There were promotional savoury items as well. Here s what I ordered: Soufflé Pancake: Choosing the simplest item on the menu paid off. The pancake was delightfully fluffy and airy, with none of the raw batter concerns I initially had. The batters natural sweetness, enhanced with side servings of whipped cream, butter, and syrup, made for perfect bites. The service matched the quality of the food. Despite some reviews suggesting longer wait times, our experience was swift, with our orders arriving in less than ten minutes. The cleanliness of the utensils and tableware was a plus, contributing to the overall positive impression of the cafe. In summary, my visit to Fuwa Fuwa was very enjoyable. I would like to return again for another round of sweet indulgence with friends.
I was happy discovering a branch of my favorite downtown soufflé spot nestled within the Fairview mall. My recent visit to this new location was a delightful journey that mirrored the excellence of its downtown sibling. The air here lacks the burnt scent often associated with high-heat baking, a refreshing change that enhances the overall sensory experience. The controlled mall environment lends itself to a warmth and cleanliness that elevate the soufflés delicate aroma, allowing each soft, airy bite to be savored without distraction. This subtle difference significantly impacts the enjoyment of their offerings, allowing the true flavors and textures to take center stage. Presentation-wise, the soufflé doesnt just sit on the plate; so tender that it succumbs to the mere touch of a spoon, speaks volumes of the craftsmanship behind it. However, no dining experience is without its room for improvement. The seating arrangements felt somewhat limited, a small hiccup in an otherwise seamless experience. The beverages, although happy in quality, left a bit to be desired in terms of quantity. Also, I wish the pancakes were served just a tad warm enough melt the butter atop the cream, wouldve created a blissful harmony of flavors and textures. Despite these minor suggestions for enhancement, the core of the experience remains untouched by these slight imperfections. Vegetarian options: Wouldn t have problem. Dietary restrictions: Those with dairies restrictions, watch out Parking: Located at the T&T entrance, thus the parking can be challenging if you re planning on parking nearby. Kid-friendliness: They ll love this soufflé pancakes for sure Wheelchair accessibility: Somewhat small space inside
An accidental pleasant surprise that we found this little gem in a mall Came all the way from Toronto downtown core, supposed to go grocery shopping at TNT, but saw the pancakes on their poster, decided to give it a try since we had these Japanese pancakes in Taipei Taiwan and it was amazingly delicious We ended up ordering 3 of their soufflé pancakes: The signature, The Tiramisu and The cream brûlée all came in a full size and they tasted heavenly Love it !!
I tried Fuwa Fuwa first time on Bloor st. and I have to say this one inside Fairview mall tastes a little odd. It wasn t fluffy, too eggy and the strawberry syrup was way too sweet. Staffs are very friendly though.
Friendliest counter service lass
The food is great and the customer service as well
Not a lot of seating but still very cute and sleek. Got the Fuwa Fuwa latte and the creme brulee pancake. Was a standard latte, not anything too special. The pancake took awhile to come out but came out fresh, hot, and still jiggling.
Fluffiest pancakes youll ever try!
Beautiful pancakes)))) Only debit or cash. Food
Best burnt cheesecake ever. Although a little bit too pricey
I bought it and took it home to eat. There was a brown hair in the cream box...it was so disgusting that I threw it away immediately without eating a bite.
Slow service, food was average at best
Paid $7.90 for a slice of basque burnt cheesecake to go. Got home opened it & it is the tiniest slice! Not even a full slice cheesecake! Felt ripped off
Food was delicious but you have to be patient. Theyre hard working ladies in the back and it takes a while for your order gets ready. So, grab a seat, have a conversation, read a book, or anything else and allow them time to prep your order. Because the taste is definitely worth the wait! Parking: Free parking lot for the mall
Very good Japanese pancake. Good service.
Very soft and fresh! Its fresh and the cake and cream are refreshing!
It was not that good experience here. I ordered pancake, and it comes with fruits. I saw how they make the pancake and I saw two ladies decorating the pancake with fruits (blue berries, banana, strawberry with all bare hands (they picked one by one with fingers) They didnt wear vinyl glove or anything and Im not even sure they washed their hands before doing that. It was open- kitchen it means I can see how they cook. Please be cautious when you make foods. Its not a cheap price and the hygiene is not good. I might not come back here again..:(
We are definitely fans of Japanese style pancakes after trying them for the first time in Japan. An absolute experience! Fuwa Fuwa brings just that, those fluffy pancakes to Canada. We had already visited the Fuwa Fuwa location in Vaughan and our experience there was very nice. The Fairview location is much smaller as its located inside the shopping mall. As for this location, definitely some improvements needed. Using the same small towel to wipe and clean multiple tables, after a period of time, the towel becomes soiled and emits an odor. That odor stays on the table especially if there is water residue left over. Recommendation - Change the towel from time to time during the course of the business day! In Japan, that would never happen. Customer service is held to such a high standard there. Usually asking for a small cup of hot water is not a big deal but for some reason, the cashier lady said they didnt have hot water? Well, you have hot water because hot tea is available on your menu. The cashier lady mentioned, ...we have hot water from the tap. Okay, that makes a ton of sense. Other than that, we received our fluffy pancakes which were delicious and that was a wrap!
Terrible experience here. We were told our food would take 10 mins, it took 30 mins without an apology or acknowledgement. The pancakes weren t worth the price. Skip it and go elsewhere.
Their signature soufflé pancake was very delicious: so light and fluffy and not too sweet. I recommend it.
Had a great experience here, great food and an even better customer service. The lady working at the cash register was very welcoming and kind!
Cant go wrong with cheese cake Parking: Its a mall so you have free parking Food : 5/5 |
Great pancakes! They only accept cash or debit for payment
Everything good except the qty for price
Delicious and fluffy pancakes, can tell it was freshly made. The staff was super friendly.
Take-out cup lid for hot drinks dont fit well with cup. Dripped all over my clothes.
Got the special, and it was ok! I think its the French toast fluffy pancakes so its quite eggy. I did like the interior of the store though, and the servers are really nice
Worst fluffy soufflé pancake I had, can t compare to the authentic Japanese soufflé pancake(if you ever tried the authentic one, it s puffy and airy, not moist or sticky, melt like cotton candy and ice cream). I suggest home cooking recipe from YouTube might get you a better pancake than theirs. Would only suggest it if you never tried the dish in any other Japanese soufflé pancake store.
Always an amazing and light snack on a long day. This location has pretty friendly staff and good service
I tried the lavender soda for takeout. The flavor is nice, but I was disappointed to find that 3/4 of the cup was filled with ice. Its not worth the purchase.
Ordered the banana nutella pancake, cost $14. They recommended the best sellers blueberry cheese costing was $17. As the staff mentioned the best sellers, I noticed best sellers tended to cost the priciest. The pancakes taste egg-y, unsure if thats how its supposed to taste. Doesnt taste like a pancake. Overall its a decent dish but not worth the value. Staff is friendly but took them 22 mins to serve me the dish, and I was the only customer at 11am. They had a handful of take away orders, but still a very long wait time, considering its two pancakes, cut fruit (half a banana and one strawberry) and prepared sauce.
Service was great. We were getting by an amazing and sweat server. Presentation was beautiful and flavour even better. Would 100% recommend.
Service was friendly despite how busy it was, but because the space is small and it was hectic (likely amplified due to increased mall traffic during the holiday season), we had to get our order to go and eat it in the food court. Unfortunately, its just not the same as being served the pancakes while seated at the cafe! The pancakes were still as light and fluffy as when we tried them in the past at another location, but they were a little soggy due to the condensation from the takeout box. The presentation was obviously also not the same as dining there (which is understandable). The space is bright but not very big, and its conveniently located by the entrance where T&T will soon be. Its also now one of various eateries located at that entrance, so you can now select from a variety of places offering drinks and baked goods/pastries all along that corridor.
Ordered the Tirimisu pancakes which came with a free drink and I chose Peach Lime Oolong tea. The pancake was tasty but was abit undercooked in the middle, but the drink I would never order again. The whole cup was filled with ice from top to bottom, so diluted I could not taste any peach flavour or the tea flavour. Service from the cashier was also not great although there was no line up.
Walked by this location and decided to give it a try. I ve been to other locations in the past but this is by far the most convenient for me. It is located on the lower level of Fairview mall on the west end in the new section. The servers were friendly and even gave me a free drink with my order! My only complaint about all locations in general is that you have to wait about 30 minutes for pancakes. They are worth it though.
Pancake was pretty bad undercooked and not fluffy. Since this place new needs improvement.
Visited to try their grand opening special. Service was friendly but were also quite busy which delayed when I received my order. The pancake was made fresh but due to the high volume, took longer than expected due to the special grand opening price. There is also limited seating inside but may be better after the grand opening to be able to eat in. Otherwise, recommended to get it to go.
Took forever but delicious
The brightness of the store captured my attention. I was thirsty so I only ordered a drink, and the only negative thing is that I couldnt adjust the sugar/sweetness level. If Im in the area again, I might come back and try their pancakes. It was great to see that there were multiple tables inside the store for dining in.
Don t drink latte here( I think it s better to drink Tims coffee ) pancake wasn t bad but not good too(I am not sure it it fully cooked... I couldn t finish every thing even though I was hungry. I spent over 20 including tips .. not worthy
Ive gone to Fuwa Fuwa downtown previously, and always enjoyed it. The pancakes were fluffy, just as you would expect. The store location itself is a bit small, only having room for 10ish people. I tried using my stamp card at this location, and they did not honour it though. Could not get stamps, nor redeem for anything, so that was disappointing. Got the lemon blueberry pancakes, and they tasted great. Love the sugared lemon slices that they give. Parking: Mall parking Wheelchair accessibility: In the mall, first floor. No extra access required. Might be tight with a wheelchair though.
When we passed by, there was a big ad which said a free drink with a pancake until Jan 20th. They were so busy at that time, so we decided to go back different day before 20th. We went there on Jan 15th, but they said that promotion ended. We still wanted to try, so we ordered some pancakes and drinks. The pancake was undercooked, so it was wet and mushy. I dont call it fuwafuwa. I also ordered Yuzu pop. There were lots of orange peel, but it was not Yuzu. I dont know if they ran out of Yuzu, or they dont really use Yuzu, but I wanted Yuzu, not Orange. If they dont use yuzu, they shouldnt name it yuzu pop, and if they ran out of yuzu, they should tell it to the customer. It is still new store, but the table was so sticky. I saw they cleaned the table, and I also cleaned with my wet nap, but it didnt help. The table was so sticky, and I didnt want to touch it. I gave 2 stars, because the staff and their service wasnt bad.
what do you mean you ran out of forks??!! foods pretty good tho Recommended dishes
The food is good but 40 min to bring the order is absolutely not worth it
Spectacular pancakes with real cream! Wonderful!
We have been to many fuwa fuwa stores and was excited that one opened so close to us. However this was the worst experience Ive ever had. We ordered a signature fluffy pancakes and signature craffle. In the 40min of waiting for our food, I saw that they messed up twice of other peoples order. On top of that, they wouldnt give us any water (said we only allowed to buy bottled water) even though the table next to us clearly had cups of tap water. When our food finally came we, they also got our order wrong. Instead of a signature craffle they brought a tiramisu craffle. At other stores when we order signature pancake it always come with chocolate sauce and ice cream, here they didnt. We had to wait for another 20min before getting our food. Definitely wont be returning to this location again which is too bad since this is by far the closest location to us.
Poster says monday-sunday 10-1130 I arrived today at 11 and noone in sight, waited until 11:15 still noone in sight and noone even preparing the store. Disappointed.
Staff was nice But the price doesn t worth. And the taste of all were the same. Not very delicious but well designed
I m a big fan of Fuwa Fuwa but this particular location was Unbelievably slow at service! All the workers there seem pretty nice but they were clearly struggling to serve on time. Product quality not at par with other locations. Saw service folks regularly touching the toppings served on the plat with bare hands, multiple instances of cross contamination.
Pros: - Pancakes are consistant with other locations - Clean and comfortable environment no issues getting a table at 6pm weekday Cons: - Pancakes usually takes long from my experience across the chain however my green tea took longer than it should
I really love the food and drinks but the seems takes a little long
I will give 0 star if system allows me to do that. We wait 30mins for the cake while there is no other customer in the store.
I was sceptical while reading reviews... But I have already ordered before that.. I found pancakes are so nice.. Not typical pancakes, these are Japanese... Egg taste, fluffy n cold.. Tiramdasu combination is good.. Regarding service - they given my order in less than 5 mins...
Very delicious but it takes a bit of time to prepare the food. Be patient for a yummy treat. It is a new shop and I think service will be improving.
The taste is ok but the price is a bit expensive
I love fuwa fuwa, so I had to try this new location! Unfortunately it let me down big time. The taste of the pancakes were like my homemade pancakes using Japanese pancake mix. Completely different from the spectacular taste you get from the original Toronto location downtown. This place really needs to improve, I see that I m not the only one who feels this way.
Horrible coffee and service. And very overpriced!
Only giving one star as I cant give zero. I ordered a Signature Croffle to-go to eat at my hotel during my family vacation. I arrived in my hotel room, which was only 10 minutes away, and I was shocked to see the inside of the box. The cream was all melted, the croffle was soggy and it looked nothing like what was advertised. If the staff warned me that the cream they used could melt in the box, I wouldve definitely ordered something else or eaten at the store. (It was my first time, so I didnt know the croissant was warm nor the kind of cream they were using). Button line is, the service was bad, and the food was awful for take out order. Eat at the location or just forget about it.
The pancakes are delicious! Its worth the wait. The service is slow because it takes that amount of time to cook the pancakes. We loved it and will come back! Their burnt cheesecake is also really good.
Ordered fruit forest as take out, they didn t even provide me cream on top. (Also, use some sweet fruit next time)
I tried the Signature Pancakes and Cookies and Cream Croffles and those are awesome.
We went there to have some pancakes, I had tiramisu pancake which was highly recommended by my friend. And my friend had the signature pancake. I liked the signature pancakes more. P.S they re not just any other pancakes they re soufflés. Hence the waiting time is more. Loved it! Worth the hype.
Drinking is simple and over the price. Cake is good but expensive too. Dont waste your money.
Same great taste and texture as you would expect from any fuwa fuwa location I see many people saying it takes awhile to get the food, but if you ve had fuwa fuwa pancakes from other locations earlier on, they do state that it can take 20-30 minutes. First it s made from scratch and second, the way these fluffy pancakes are made, the process just takes that long But when you get your pancake, it s thick, fluffy and depending on the toppings, jiggly, as it should be And this location isn t any exception. The presentation was awesome and it had the slight jiggle which I love seeing. The weight of the blueberry and heavy cheese cream also made the jiggle not so prominent. The blueberry compote really went nicely with the pancake and the cheese cream is a great combination. Service was great. There might be a minor language barrier, but they are patient with trying to understand the customer, so be patient Great job overall! had the signature pancakes it was so delicious! service was suprisingly quick and workers were kind
Nice Japanese Cafe on the first level of Fairview mall, close to the Subway entrance with a variety of delicious desserts. We tried Signature Croffle, Cheesecake, tea, and coffee. This cafe is small but has beautiful decorations and nice staff.
Pancakes were good but service was not. Sat down for dine-in and paid a tip, but server refused to give us glasses of water. Then after we finished our meal and were just chatting, server came with a spray bottle to pressure us to leave even though there were still tables free. Go to other Fuwa Fuwa locations, this one is thumbs down.
I went to this location today around 11ish. My friend and I were the only customers so not that it was busy. We ordered a tiramisu pancake which was served after half an hour. The syrup with the pancake was served in a broken pitcher. Not that it was busy and they would mess up with something like this but we were the only customers and still served in a chipped plate and broken pitcher which is not really a good service. Not sure if I would be coming here again. The pancakes are really good. But lack of attention on the service is not what I expected.
Great location. Food was great. Presentation was great and service was great.
Pancakes and croffles were phenomenal, just like the other locations. Staff was very friendly and service was great.
Good pancakes and nice spot to eat.
I really like the texture of pancake, especially the matcha flavor.
I got the raspberry and caramalized banana pancake and it was delicious! The pancakes were super fluffy and the fruits were fresh, definitely worth the price. I also got the strawberry and lychee genmaicha tea which was good and had a nice roasted tea flavour to it.
This latte is really bad, not worth ordering a drink
Nice small place, the top burnt cheese cake was so delicious, however they serve small portions
Japanese cheesecake isn t as good as other locations. Basque cheesecake is okay.
take immense pride in pancake wide array of matcha flavors.
Everytime we visit this place is like just so cozy and soo good.. Thrice have visited it to try out its diff fluffy pancakes ... 1. Tried the cookies and cream 2. The tiramisu pancake is amazing 3. The fuwa fuwa signature and its burnt cheesecake slice... But one of the visits, I wasnt happy with their serving and attention towards us tho we were their only customer. We were served in a chipped small cup and the plate was also a bit chipped off by the side. This is wasnt professionally towards us.... being the only ones at the Cafe. Must pay attention while serving - the crockery or else it must be double checked or maybe the chipped off ones shall be discarded... Anyways, overall its always being a good time fr eating the pancakes
The store looks absolutely amazing! The decor looks modern and the flowers at the side give a cozy feeling. On top of that, the pancakes were so fluffy. I also love the style of them as well. All the details put into the pancakes made it feel really special. The customer service was also great. They were so kind and patient. Overall I highly recommend taking some time to come to Fairview to try the pancakes here!
I ordered pancakes and asked for tap water and they refused to give me water
This Fuwa Fuwa is pretty alright all things considered. Atmosphere is very cute, though the establishment is exceptionally small, especially when compared to its other locations. So dont be surprised if you show up to find little to no seating available. Service-wise, its a bit mixed. Staff was kind when ordering, so no complaints there. However, when we arrived, the only table unoccupied was one that had plates and garbage from a previous group that had sat there. No one came to remove the dishes or disinfect the table, until one prompted the staff to do so. The place was not busy at the time of ordering, so the prolonged cleaning of the table detracted from the experience. Foodwise, I didnt find any shortfalls. I had the Tiramisu Pancake. Which presentation-wise, looked immaculate. Thankfully, the pancake tasted as good as it looked. It was cooked thoroughly and had just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, although I argue other Fuwa Fuwa locations are better than this one, this one does have the added measure of convenience since it is located inside a mall. So, you can satisfy your craving for sweets after a busy shopping trip.
Very fluffy soft mouth melting souffle pancakes. Very satisfying. Highly recommend. Takes around 20mins + waiting time atleast, but well worth the wait.
Never again!
We ate very tasty, light (fluffy) pancakes here, but it took a while before we got them. The pancakes are worth repeating!! Wheelchair accessibility: The toilet is very spacious and wheelchair friendly.
Green tea Macha with white chocolate Japanese pancake is pretty good. Very light and fluffy. But for $18, not including tax, quite expensive for two pieces of pancake and not worth it.
I ordered a hot drink today. When I moved it from the counter to the table, felt it get soggy. The whole cup spilled totally on the table in 2 seconds. My hand got burned. I asked them to make another one for free, but they refused. I have never given any store a lower rate than 3 stars. I gave one star this time and never visit them again.
I am sitting there in the store and wait for my friend to come, the lady came to me asking me to leave.
I go here with some regularity and the experience is very consistent. The ordering is easy, they dont have too many options so you wont be staring at a wall of food, but they have enough options so that everyone will probably have something they like. The service staff are friendly and the food gets made and served within 15 minutes which is quite reasonable for the japanese pancakes. The seating area looks and feels quite nice. There arent too many tables though (5 or 6), so there may not be seating available at absolute peak times. The pancakes and drinks themselves are very tasting and pretty. Its the type of food thats very instagram-able if youre into that. But its not just a pretty picture, the staff take their time to make a really good product and everything is carefully placed and cooked. It does feel on the pricier side, but one pancake set can be shared between 2 people so it works out to about $8 for 2 people. The card reading terminal does prompt you to tip which can feel a little pressuring, especially since the lowest option is 15% which isnt the greatest way to start off an experience.
Cute little place at Fairview. So good to see them make everything from scratch. We had avo Croffle and salted caramel latte. Latte was too sweet for me but it was a huge cup. Croffle was nice and crunchy with less avo. I d try the soufflé pancake next time.
Stopped to try it out. Service was good and fast. Both my pancakes and my wifes waffle concoction were very good. Definitely will try more items on their menu.
Extremely over priced for the dishes you get.
The pancakes are what you expect from Fuwa Fuwa. But we had a really bad experience with my wife who went to the person in the counter to ask if they were hiring (we are assuming is the owner or manager) and the person responded asking yes. who will apply? we are looking for young people . This is a very ignorant and stupid response since according to the Canadian Human Rights Act, this is discrimination based on Age. We are researching if this can be investigated since I wouldn t want anybody to work in a place who is discriminatory against anyone, who knows based on what else (age, race, religion?). I hope the Fuwa Fuwa group can educate the people who work here to answer appropriately and according to law and not being discriminatory to people asking for jobs. Really bad experience for a business of this type and size, and very stupid and ignorant.

Firstly, if you plan on coming right at opening time, they wont be open. We came on a Saturday morning, but lights were off and there wasnt a soul in the shuttered store despite the listed opening time being 10am. The opening time is more accurately 10:15-10:30am. Even their neighbours told us they usually open half an hour later. The shops next door were all preparing way ahead of time and opened on time. So as you might expect, it took forever to get our food. We waited almost 45 minutes after placing our order as soon as they finally opened. There were only 2 other people ahead of us. One of them got their meal in half an hour, while the rest of us had dismal wait times. We didnt even order much, just a croffle sandwich and a Nutella souffle pancake. Luckily my 2 year old was being a saint of patience that day. I think theyre just understaffed in the morning. Prices were a little steep for breakfast/brunch, but the food was good. We paid total about $40 for 2 items. My husband particularly enjoyed his croffle breakfast sandwich. We might come back for brunch on some lazy day, but definitely not with our toddler. Only come here if you have nowhere to be after. Kid-friendliness: Not that kid friendly in terms of wait times.
Very tasty Japanese style pancakes. We ordered the Fuwa Fuwa Signature and it was really good. It was fluffy, the cream was smooth and the fruits were fresh. The coffee we ordered was surprisingly good and the strawberry soda was refreshing.
Ive been in other locations Tried savory waffle today Delicious so yummy Food : 5/5
The worst service ever! We re a group of four people including a 12 month baby so it s reasonable that we use two tables. While we re still drinking and talking, a staff came to ask if we can move one table back. I refused because there s no customer waiting for table and my daughter still used that table. Then, the owner came and said move the stroller to the corner and just use one table. I got so mad because this is really disrespectful way of asking. we ordered foods and drinks like others why she kept asking the same thing just because she thought they re getting busy. I bet the owner never checked those reviews and your business won t go up with this kind of bad attitude!
The dessert had an eggy smell and was not freshly made. Because we had to pay first, we also tipped 15% first as normal. Even though there are seats next to us, we havent even finished our drinks yet. This restaurant chases customers away, which is very rude! The reason is rush hour. They didnt tell you how long the meal time is in advance. Its very confusing!
Very very overpriced lattes with same taste/quality as Tim Hortons beverages... ($8 for nutella hazelnut latte just tastes like a regular hot chocolate!!!) cant comment on their dessert pastries as we didnt order, but their beverages are not their selling point at all. Cute decor and staff were okay although a little slow (10 mins for 2 beverages).
The first time my friend and I went there (Fairview Mall) we ordered the signature soufflé, the soufflé was done almost to perfection (tho the fruits were stingy). Two weeks later (Sep 13, 2013, around 3 pm), we ordered the soufflé again and a mango drink. Both the drink and the soufflé were disappointing!!! The soufflé was mushy and not fluffy at all. The mango drink is tasteless, watery, there s hardly any mango bits, and the drink has lots of ice. We are not going back again.
Decent food (french toast was overly eggy) but expensive for the size of portions. I left hungry. Staff was friendly but took around a half hour to receive meal.
Service is fine, interior is super cute but the pancakes take a long time to cook and assemble. We went on a monday on at 4pm and waited up to 15 mins even though when we placed the order the shop was empty. 15 for only 2 pancakes. Other shops might give 3 or 4 though.
Had a $10 strawberry frapé, didnt taste like ANYTHING, never felt so robbed and disappointed ....Im sticking to the chill from Tims
I recently visited Fuwa Fuwa, and it was an absolute delight! The Tiramisu was a heavenly experience, combining rich flavors and perfect texture. The cheesecake was equally outstanding. Its no surprise that Fuwa Fuwa is always bustling with customers; the desserts are simply irresistible. If youre looking for a dessert haven, this place is a must-visit!
First time at this location. Location is clean. As always my fave fluffy pancake.
We tried the burnt cheese cake which still had frozen parts on the inside. Mentioned that to sales person she said that its not supposed to be frozen, but did not even care to apologize.
Delicious! Great experience.
Great cafe and food experience. I got the tiramisu pancake. It was fantastic. Highly recommend. Food
Worst service , takes very long time for a single thing
Worst service ever! Dont feel like the desserts are freshly made and have a smell
Had the Fuwa Fuwa Signature for $15.54 tax included. 2 light airy pancakes topped with cream and blueberries, strawberries, banana slices and sprinkled with icing sugar. Quite unique and tasty. The pancakes are so very light and fluffy, yet look like cake. I guess it is the egg whites they use in the ingredients. Really nice flavour but not overly sweet. The assembled dessert was very artistically created by Chef / Artisan Jessica. A bit pricey, but really enjoyed it. Highly recommend.
very good
43 minutes for one pancake. Nice staff but waited way too long. It s good but be prepared to wait.
Worst service today. First we waited for an hour for our food. Our hot matcha latte is not hot. My daughter found a hair to her pancake. Will not come back.
Came into the store to take a look at the menu as well as charge my phone as it was dead. Upon entering, I was harassed for taking too long to order and was told I can t charge my phone if an order isn t placed. I asked for the supervisors name and they blatantly lied to us. Very hostile environment, would not recommend.
I was deciding what I wanted to order while charging my phone and was asked to leave if I wouldn t order immediately . I made it clear that I was deciding what to get and was continually harassed to order or leave the establishment.
The service was quite fast, didn t end up waiting long at all, me and my friend waited probably like 10 mins. I like how you can scan the QR code and order on the website and just bring it up to the front and they ll scan the code and get your order, very easy and smart way of ordering. I got the crème brûlée and my friend got the white chocolate matcha, the chocolate hazelnut latte is also a drink I recommend. The cookies however tasted a bit salty, I don t really recommend getting the cookies from here, and the bananas that came with the crème brûlée taste a bit too unripe, but other than that it was very delicious, had a good first time for trying Fuwa Fuwa
Indulging in coffee and dessert is an unparalleled experience. Although its a bit pricey, the uniqueness makes it worthwhile.
Spent $70 and waited 2 hours for food+drink. Should hire competent cooks instead of kids that mess up drink orders and cause delay.
Love the decor and their pancakes. Pricey but so soft, light, and airy. I ordered a blueberry latte - not sure if I remember exactly the name and its not on their website. It tasted of blueberry milk so I was disappointed.
Tasty I guess, but 40 minutes for this when Im the only person in the store? Pretty ridiculous
Today is the first day of their soft opening. Free drink with the purchase of a pancake until Jan 20th. Ordered the signature souffle pancake, it was soft, fluffy, very light and not too sweet. The free drink we got was mango black tea but the mango pulp was not great. Tea flavour is strong with a nice sweetness but the mango pulp ruins the experience a little. Overall, great pancakes and we will be coming back for more. P.S. Saw lots of caregivers coming with older seniors - great afternoon activity for those who have difficulty chewing
Close to the TTC subway entrance. Pancakes were very fluffy and soft and delicious to eat. Note: it takes about 20 minutes for the pancake to be made. Be ready to stay for a bit!
