It's my first time eating at this restaurant and at first when we arrived it was subdued but after that it filled up really fast. There was a wide assortment of food which ranged from roast beef to lobster tail, roast duck to fresh made sushi. Some of the food was a little dry and tough but most of the seafood was delicious. Their fruit selection was limited as they only had honey dew melons, grape fruit and pineapple. However their salad section was breaming with an array of variety. Overall an amazing experience and the staff was quick to empty your plates. Each day is different as we ate on a Friday so each person only received half a lobster tail.
First of all, very fine dining aesthetic for an Asian cuisine Buffet restaurant. Every staffs here are super friendly, polite, and nice since everyone smile at you and say hi if you look at them. Service is top notch because they constantly give attentive care for me and my partner. Food wise, you have to try the Steak with Chimichuri once in your life, it’s so worthies. Their seafood really live up to the hype cause of the freshness and tenderness. Lastly, the manager Wang and server Lili are really helpful, cheerful, caring and friendly, definitely come back here because of them.
Nice place but so busy. Food doesn't come out fast enough for the amount of people. Heard good things so drove 2 hours to get there. Thank God we made a reservation otherwise prepare to wait or not get in at all. Other than the crab, mandarin is equal to what you'd find there. For the price I hoped it was better. Inside is nice but over crowded.
Wide range selection of food was great, and I like that they have plenty of supplies for the crab legs, scallops, Peking ducks and sashimi, they are barely ran out. I can only focus on eating my favorite ones and don’t have time to try others coz I only have 1.5 hr for my meal. 1.5 hr is actually not enough especially when you have to line up for some of the popular items. Service was great, staffs are very attentive and helpful.
So let’s get one thing straight, this place ain’t no Mandarin. The food here is high quality and actually quite delicious. Finally got a chance to go here for dinner. What really drew my friend and I here was the Peking duck, the snow crabs and the angus beer. Of course I tried a bunch of other food items from here as well and everything was very good. I’m not the biggest fan of crab because of the work it takes to eat it but I really enjoyed the snow crabs here and the fact that it’s unlimited is great. The angus beef steak was absolutely exceptional - some of the best beef steak I’ve had. This was the first time I ever tried Peking duck and I think this was my favourite food item at Dragon Pearl. Other foods that I’d love to highlight were the bbq spare ribs, the fried rice and especially the pork shuimai. The spare ribs were meaty and bbq sauce was good. The fried rice was salted to perfection. But the pork shuimai here was by far the best shuimai I’ve had at any restaurant. Not often do you find shuimai where there is a generous amount of meat in the dumpling but this was filled with pork and very flavourful. The sushi here is also edible, unlike at other Chinese buffets. Dessert selection was the typical dessert found at any other Chinese buffet, nothing too exceptional but they had the favourites: twist cookie, selection of mouses and cakes and of course ice cream with the fixins. Service is actually quite rough at Dragon Pearl though and it’s the only but biggest downfall. Now people usually don’t go to a buffet and expect the most amazing service. But I think their biggest downfall is their time limit. They only allow a seating time of 1.5 hours. Good luck if you come here with a big party. The server gave us the bill when we had 20 minutes remaining, that’ll make any guest feel very rushed. Server comes right at the 1.5 hour mark and kind of demands that we pay and finish our dinner. Not friendly either - though to be fair, I feel they don’t care to be friendly. I understand the food is excellent, but with their dinner price, a 2 hour seating time is much more fair. In their defence though, this place gets incredibly busy. My reservation was for 5:30 and there was a steady stream of diners walking in at that time with a short lineup inside at the front. By the time we were leaving just after 7, the entire front of the restaurant was packed with diners waiting to be seated. The atmosphere of Dragon Pearl is also so amazing! They all the tables are spaced out well and the decor made me feel like I was in an authentic Chinese restaurant. Around the restaurant they have a few different themed tables, such as one table that’s designed as a boat and another that’s in a large bird cage. The atmosphere here felt much more modern than other Chinese buffets out there. One understated thing that Dragon Pearl has is a hand washing station right in the middle of the buffet section. Instead of going to the bathroom to just wash your hands, you can use this station to wash with soap and dry with the paper towel. With the all you can eat crab, this hand wash station came in clutch! Overall, I’m glad I came here. The food here is the best you can find for a Chinese buffet and very high quality. So delicious, everything. I highly recommend this place over any other buffet in Toronto. Just understand that when you come here, yes you will get great food and the restaurant itself is gorgeous and welcoming but service is not good at all and you will feel rushed. Overall for me though, it’s worth it and I cannot wait to come here again.
The food and service were awesome. When we came for my reservation we were pretty much seated right away. There were plenty of dishes to choose from and the line up of certain stations wasn't too bad. They had plenty of snow crab legs that never seemed to run out. Although the restaurant was booked solid they managed the crowd very well. Everyone was very happy with their meal and service the restaurant provided.
We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation around 6:20 PM and were informed that the wait time would be an hour and a half. After waiting until 8:00 PM, I approached the receptionist and was told, "I have no table for you because of all the people who made reservations. Maybe you should come another day." This was after waiting for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. It was a complete waste of time. Eventually, after waiting for 2 hours and 30 minutes, we were finally seated. I believe their reservation system needs to be improved, as many people with reservations were also waiting outside, and the inside was extremely crowded. Moving on to the food, overall it was not bad, but the main reason I went there was for the snow crab legs. However, they were so soft that the shell wouldn't crack but would peel off, and the meat stuck to it, making it difficult to eat and enjoy. On the positive side, I did enjoy the Peking duck and the fruits that were offered the most. Overall, it was not the AYCE experience.
I recently visited a food Dragon Pearl buffet and had an above-average experience. The restaurant had a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including lots of meat options, main courses, and desserts. The food quality was good, with many dishes being freshly made and flavorful. The service was also great, with staff members being attentive and friendly. They constantly refilled our drinks and cleared our empty plates promptly. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, as the buffet area was well-maintained and organized. Overall, I had a positive experience at this food buffet restaurant and would recommend it to others looking for a satisfying dining experience.
Food is not fresh at all, service really bad, try to rush us and only have 1,5 hour to eat. Server when they try to take a bill really rude. :))) not recommended
We recently hosted our company New Year s dinner at Dragon Pearl Buffet, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The variety and quality of the food were exceptional, with every dish beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group, ensuring everyone felt welcome and taken care of. If you re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy an amazing meal, Dragon Pearl Buffet is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Great food, great family friendly atmosphere, superior service, special thank you to, Jennifer. Mgmt team, Jennifer went above and beyond to accommodate my elderly mom that uses a walker. Thank you for the hospitality. Aaron Kid-friendliness: Great family atmosphere Wheelchair accessibility: This location has a wheelchair accessible ramp and is senior citizen friendly.
Visited at lunch time with a couple of friends. Overall food was just alright as well as the service. What stood out to me was the Peking duck wraps, dim sum, and the torched sushi. I would definitely come back to indulge in those specific items when the cravings hit.
Celebrated my birthday here with friends . Food was very good and our server Andre was wonderful!
A lot of food choices but the food is really salty. I mean i guess thats the point for you to drink a lot of water, get full quick and leave. Probably wont return.
Very good.
Great staff! Friendly as well.
Went with a party for lunch. Food really wasn t that great. And they are very sensitive with time and want you out the second your table hits the 1.5 hr mark.
I went to this restaurant after seeing multiple posts about it on Reddit. People generally compared it to the Mandarin, but professed that it was better. Having said that, I know that the experience there varies - particularly if you go to the ones closer to the citys centre. In my experience, their flagship location in Brampton is head and shoulders above their others. But I digress. Dragon Pearl did not live up to the hype. Pleasant atmosphere and the staff were attentive, but the food was some of the most bland I have had at a buffet. The selection was reasonable for a lunch, but given that they were charging holiday prices for it in the middle of the week in the first week of December, I was disappointed. The food wasnt particularly fresh, and in most instances, it was room temperature. I will not be back.
Is Okay but Kindly expensive
Very packed place to eat at. First time ever I experienced lining up to get food in an AYCE. Would only recommend this place if you go at a time when not much people are eating.
Waiting time without a reservation sucks!!! After waiting 1.5 hr were told maybe we wouldn t get a table, we asked to talked to a manager and we got 1 . Food was good, just to crowed .
Their holiday specials are to die for!! Phenomenal especially if you love seafood. Cannot recommend this place enough Parking: ample parking with lots of spots Kid-friendliness: saw lots of children there & some even celebrating their bday
We went for the AYCE crab legs but enjoyed the variety. Everything was great and they even had things our picky son enjoyed. Staff was friendly and welcoming and they kept up with refreshing the buffet quick. We went on a Monday night and it got busy quick, but it wasnt overly crowded.
So they figured out how to make a AYCE buffet even more in their favour. Put a 90 minute time limit, serve overcooked, tasteless half lobster tail. Then put food stations tightly across from each other, therefore creating constant traffic, bumping in to other diners and huge line upstairs at food stations where customers pick and choose from ghe platters like they are the only person in line. Peeking duck was nice but they give you one piece at a time. Most dishes are comparable to Mandarin although Mandarin has food table spacing and accessibility in the customers favour and not the restaurants like Dragon Pearl. Service was poor too, had to hunt down staff to order drink and also they dont give out new napkins unless you ask, even though the trash dishes are filled with soiled napkins. Food plates are also smaller, not allowing you to put on large amount of food and consequently forcing more frequent trips to buffet. Which in turn means negotiating through crowds and lining up and waiting to get to your favorite food station only to find it near empty or food is cold. Sad. Had such high expectations. Guess Ill stick with the devil you know (Mandarin) when Im in the mood for Chinese AYCE.
You pay 52 dollar per person for the food that I personally think it is a bit over priced. But it is a good experience to give it a try.
Stay away from the fish and the chicken wings.
After seeing so many TikTok videos about this place I had to give it a try. Lets just say its basically the better version of mandarin. Though they do not has as many dishes as Mandarin, the quality is unmated. Im definitely going again. Food : 5/5
I love the food here!!! The salmon was so tender and flakey, the sushi was fresh and there s a fantastic variety to choose from. And the green tea ice cream!!! Need I say more?
Better then the other buffet place just need to get some better pies. Coconut cream pine. Black forest. Then all will be good
Its a great place to eat
Very popular establishment, may need a reservation. I went Friday evening and everything they serve is available. Service was great, especially young lady named Lili. I would want the tables she worked next time I go there again.
Best place to eat and different types of food for everyone!
great place to eat
Food is good. My complaint is that with the known 1.5h time limit, the wait staff essentially comes to your table at 1h mark to say last call for food, then come back at the 1h and 15 min mark and offer our bill. It takes away from our experience, feeling like we are getting kicked out. This was our second visit, happened both times. Will not be back or recommend. There are other comparable buffets that don t do this.
A lot of choices .. specially the Peking Duck is nice
Best all around
Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. We had a 7:30 reservation, arrived early at 7:15, and still weren t seated until 8:00. To make matters worse, people who arrived after us were seated before us due to the completely unorganized front staff. Once we finally sat down, we waited 5-8 minutes for someone to take our drink orders, but no one came. Frustrated, we decided to get food instead, only to find very limited options. It seems like they rely heavily on holiday specials, which didn t live up to expectations. After finally managing to order drinks after we got our food, we found the quality to be mediocre at best Mandarin offers better value and flavor. Adding to the disappointment, the restaurant stops refilling food at 8:40 even though they close at 9:30. Considering we were seated so late, it felt like a complete waste of time and money. We won t be returning.
Had our family first Christmas 2024 dinner here. It was awesome, food to please everyone, even the picky eaters. A must for seafood lovers. Service was great, and there were tables each for meat, sushi, vegetables, seafood, rice, and noodle dishes, spicy crabs, and of course, desserts. If you like spicy, go for the spicy crabs its awesome. Plus seniors discount was a bonus. Highly recommend. ***** Kid-friendliness: Kids will be happy eating here, something for everyone.
Long line up for certain foods..better than Mandarin
I had heard good things about this place, but my experience was very disappointing. When I arrived, it was extremely busy, especially considering how small the buffet actually is. There were long lineups, and the service was terrible I had to track down a staff member just to get water. To make matters worse, I felt really sick after leaving and even ended up with food poisoning. I m honestly not sure how this place has such high ratings it feels like a lot of the reviews might be fake
I had an awful experience at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly rude and unaccommodating to a very simple request: we asked to move a table slightly so our group could sit together comfortably, especially since we had an infant with us. Instead of understanding or trying to help, the server flatly refused and treated us with an unnecessarily bad attitude. The restaurant was also overcrowded and poorly managed, making the entire experience stressful and uncomfortable. With such terrible service and dismissive attitudes, it s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. I would not recommend this place to anyone, particularly families or larger groups.
Ive recommended this restaurant to a friend. Only to be embarrassed by the service. We had no glass for our sake. So we drank our water glass to fill it with sake. Our glass already half full, the server comes by and pours water into our glasses. We told him there was sake inside. Rather than apologizing. He said, we should of asked for a sake glass, proceeds to remove our water glasses and returning with neither a replacement water glass or sake glass. So we wasted our money on sake and were blamed for not asking for a glass when it should of came with our order. You know who you are. I even asked server after if he planned to replace our drinks. He said yes, then asked us for our bill instead and completely disregarded our conversation. Horrible.
Great place to eat out with family. Good choice for kids who are picky eaters. All cuisines available , lobsters and seafood boil are my favourites .
Always busy. Not enough staff. A bit pricey comparing to similar restaurants
Good food and good service
Good fast service. Will be back!
Snow crab legs, peking duck, lettuce duck wrap, cocktail shrimp, chimichuri steak, sashimi, cheese, fresh seafood, variety of dessert. Lili and Wang the manager is amazing, so tentative, so friendly and make our experience here wonderful. Would definitely comeback for this buffet.
My first time at Dragon Pearl was over 10 years ago. This place is one of the rare buffet restaurants that not only survived but has maintained good food quality.
Dietary restrictions: Sugar free desserts Food
Pretty fresh
Bebe here twice, once for dinner and second for lunch. Both times it was packed, so a reservation is a must. Even for lunch there was a lineup outside before it opened it. Good quality food available with aa good range of offerings
We were going to meet at that place with some friends to spend a friends birthday at that place, they arrived earlier and from the moment they were given a table they told them that they could only be there for 1 hour and a half, finally it was no longer worth going because We would be eating quickly and it is not worth it for what it costs, bad reception before arriving. I wont try to go another time.
Lots of variety of food, fresh and tasty !
Very good place to get together with friends. Wide selection of dishes available and very tasty. Parking: Can be quite busy so parking can become a bit of a challenge.
sea food is amazing here
It may sound petty to u right handed folks me a lefty had a hard time using the ladles
Always the best place to take the family out when you don t want to cook! Food comes in quickly for refill Service is always good Can t beat paying under $150 for six family members ! We eat until we re full! Please do add more vegetarian options more than just salad , tofu is good
A great alternative to that other Chinese buffet we all know. Amazing selection and they offer a lot of items in their menu. I went on a Sunday evening and highlights were Peking duck, tteokbokki, bacon wrapped quail eggs and snow crab. It was busy and as a result service was a bit slow with drinks but overall it was a good experience. After paying for the dinner, a pop and a beer my total was just over $65. Well worth it if you enjoy seafood and eat a lot
Did not enjoy the prawns. Too much seasoning and the Peking Duck was dry.
Food is okay. The lobster festival is only half a small lobster. Ive eaten larger prawns. The taste is sohsi. Nothing to shout about
I strongly recommend making online reservations before you go, as walk-ins can expect long waits about 1.5. Hours on weekends. Despite the lengthy delay, the quality of the food made up for it, but be prepared for the wait!
Not ayce lobster or snow crab legs like what they advertised in Instagram or fb. They give you a ticket for 1/2 lobster, and you can not ask for more ticket. Food section is so packed and tiny. Seasoning is mid and plain. Better go with normal ayce Japanese bbq if you want better restaurant
Great tasting food. It was very crowded on the Sunday but there was no shortage of freshly made food. The variety was astounding as well.
Sub standard food and a very chaotic atmosphere, long lines for seafood and1 half lobster per adult customer only on Saturdays. The only highlight was a lovely server named Kristy. If you live around the corner from this place than perhaps to you it might be good but, for me who lives an hour + away and went for the all you can eat lobster this was a huge disappointment.
Very busy location. Wish the food area was just a little larger. Buffet area tends to get over crowded quickly. Food options are great.
My family and I went here on October 20 at 1:30 to 3:30pm. Around 3pm, we started to notice a lot of debris falling from the vent above. We were seated at the round table at very the right-hand side and to the back of the buffet. The vent above looked like it had not been having frequent maintenance for it to be cleaned. Instead my family, especially myself and anyone at the front of the table had the potential for eating the debris and dirt before noticing the large chucks that went on the table, which would be incredibly unsafe for our health. There were large chucks of white debris and black spots of debris falling to the middle-front side of the round table. If we didn t remove the debris since it had fallen, it would have been a plate full of dirt collected from above. Luckily somehow we were close to done eating desert until we saw dirt falling down on our table. I had to practically moving to the very left and cover my food from it getting dirty. The rest of the drinks had spots of debris on it already. So I had to eat my food whilst moving away from the middle of the table. It was incredibly disgusting, disruptive, and inconvenient for the customers to have to deal with this in the buffet. Especially for an expensive price to eat here expecting a clean environment. At the end, my mom had to ask if there would be a discount included for the bill. The waitress came back and said 10% off would be added. I would ve expected, however, that the management would have the generosity to offer a discount in the first place instead of the customer because this was unacceptable unhygienic standards of the buffet in their part. Please be aware of cleaning every vent you have in your place as this would be potentially unsafe for the health of a lot of people in here, especially for the vulnerable and old people eating here.
Varieties of food dishes, taste is ok.
It s too short. An hour and half limit.
one of the best buffets in the city
Went here the other day after having an abismal time at Mandarin and I have to say this is a great improvement. The food was actually pretty good I enjoyed sweet and sour pork, angus steak, fried duck, sushi and many more. It is more expensive then Mandarin but I think its worth the extra 15$. In terms of service it was okay and it was hard to flag a waiter or waitress down, but that may be in part to the location that I was seated.
You re better off going to Mandarin Restaurant which has more selections, better quality and tasting food, more organized, not squished into an overly occupied dining area, cheaper, and so much more cleaner than this place. The quality of the food seemed questionable and it was reflective in the taste.
I was looking forward to trying this buffet because had read how good it was. It was okay. Most if my food was lukewarm, not overly tasty unless I added chili oil. Bit pricey for lunch buffet. Would not return.
Awesome buffet lots of seafood options
Pretty nice experience, good food. Good quality!
Service was terrible, long lines to just serve yourself one item. Servers act like they dont see you. Super packed at lunch time. We had one guy sing our guest happy birthday with a tamberine, it was soo awkward lol. O lord I could go on forever. Manderine at Dufferin finch is better pretty much
They had variety of options from salad to hot food then dessert. All you can eat Peking duck!!!! One of the main reason we went. Service was excellent. Water is always topped up and plates cleaned. Will definitely return!
Always love going here
To be fair, it is a great place for group setting, but the downside is also the same. Many big tables to accommodate for groups, but the buffet area can be too crowded due to the high volume of guests. I was told the sesame ball for dessert was a must try, but when I was waiting in line for the fresh batch a lady infront of me took the whole tray right away ... Which left me nothing to try.
Mandarin is better
A little pricey for me cause I dont eat a lot, buffet is good only for good eater.
Peking duck was pretty good. If I had to choose between Mandarin and dragon pearl. This is it. Cost per value is pretty awesome Food
Too many people and lack of control/hygiene regarding the way people are serving themselves. For instance we saw a lady bending over the ice cream station with her hair touching the ice cream. Plus no proper queueing instructions which led to a mess. I believe some items could have been served to the customers which would be way more hygienic.
Great upscale buffet with premium dishes such as crab legs, Peking duck and steak. Service was constantly cleaning up and checking in. Very happy with this restaurant and will return.
A hidden pearl in North York/Scarborough area! Too many good food items under one roof.
Saw some server cloth touch with the food tray (buffet counter)I will never come back.
Food was comparable to most buffets
Visited with a group of four for a 7:30 reservation. On November 1st. The food selection featured the usual buffet favorites, but I was especially there for the unlimited snow crab legs. They were a bit saltier than expected, so you really didn t need any extra butter or seasoning with them. When we arrived, it was incredibly crowded, so Id definitely recommend booking ahead! Some guests without reservations had to wait over an hour. My favorite items were the Peking duck, crab legs, and salmon. The salmon was unexpectedly buttery and probably the best Ive had at a buffet! They also had a surprising charcuterie selection, along with fun options like tanghulu (candied fruit on a stick) and cotton candy. For dessert, there were several ice creams and cakes; the carrot cake and puddings were especially good, though some of the other cakes were a bit on the dry side. Service was also really quick and neat! The layout was convenient, with a handwashing station by the fruit bar really handy instead of trekking to the restroom. This location feels slightly smaller than the one in Markham but still offers plenty of space and a nice atmosphere. Overall, a great spot with lots of variety!
Excellent experience well worth going.
Its a store I like very much, and I often check in with the whole family. Personally, I think the taste of this buffet is very suitable for Chinese stomachs (not for foreigners like M s). The food is of good quality, the ingredients are fresh, and there are often different limited activities. You can try it for lunch (very cost-effective)/dinner (more seafood). Kid-friendliness: Suitable
The food is good. They have pecking duck. Food
Very good for the price when they had all you can eat crab legs! Hope they keep that special forever and I will go often.
Food was not good at all. Was not tasty. It s not worth the money. Sushi looked so ugly and I got diarrhoea from it.
I have not been here yet but hear it is delicious and works great for wedding buffets
Super busy with a good selection of food. The half lobster I received because it was Saturday was my favourite part. Could be cleaner overall but especially behind the buffet bars.
Wheelchair accessibility: Closet the doors clean pathways Food
Incredible buffet! Very good quality food, at the same level with an a la carte. Good sushi/ sashimi, very good seafood, the best duck. A lot of options for dessert also as well as fir salads. Mango salad and chicoria a must. Food
Great place and very fun! The wait time is crazy to get in so please book ahead of time! The food was miles better than most buffets. And the weekend crab legs are worth going out of your way for!
So we booked here for a party of over 50, May 4th and fully expected a private room. Instead, they stuck us unceremoniously in the middle of regular buffet diners. They even tried to tell us we had our own section. However, it was three rows of tables completely surrounded by other patrons, not even off to one end or side of the restaurant. I would never have booked that many people there if Id known my wifes 60th would have been handled as such. A 60th chinese birthday for her should have been treated with more respect than that. Certainly no face shown by the restaurant. As a result, the atmosphere was shit. We made the best of it for my wife. For 50 people and two hours in the restaurant, my unlimited pop glass was serviced twice only. We would have ordered more drinks if we could have been sat together to toast and celebrate. Their loss. Also, as the person paying, I tried to use their online group email service to book the event three or four weeks out. They ask you to use this service, not call, for group bookings. Nobody responded for the week. I then tried to call a couple of times to book and couldnt get through. Even their voice mail was full. Eventually, someone managed to call and get through on my behalf and book. Maybe instead of farting around making Tiktoks, the owner could answer e-mails or phone messages. A little after a week, they finally answered my e-mail booking after I had a reservation. The buffet area is tight, congested, and not very well laid out. All the hot food is on top of each other, and the line for the Peking duck, a favorite of most, is stupidly centered in the middle of all chaos. Restaraunt is chaotic and totally loud. With the congestion and wait lines, you will find the 1.5hr seating is rushed, uncomfortable, and unpleasant. The food is good, lots of choices, large desert selection and all food was hot and fresh. Salmon sashimi is metered out by an employee, yet you can ask for extra without reservation. The salmon, due to popularity, is warm and soft versus chilled and firm like I prefer it. Sashimi selection is very limited as is specialty rolls. We received a lobster ticket for half a lobster on the night. I had the baked, and it was dry. I can not comment on what the steamed was. Its tough to cook lobster for masses, though. All in all, we had a decent time as it was an overdue family reunion. However, I cant recommend the atmosphere and restaurant as one for a special occasion gathering place. Work event, date or a few freinds, for sure. I would direct you to Dragon Legend for a private room event or a higher quality experience. I did like that they offered cash, all in price for meal, soft drinks, and tip. The price was reasonable. It is super easy to plan and calculate costs besides alcohol being extra.
Had my birthday here and it was great
Great selection of food. The peking duck is a must try! I came on a Sunday, when they have AYCE crab legs and we couldn t get enough of those. The roast beef and smoked salmon are delicious as well. Unique interior decor and tons of seating. It was busy everytime we visited and seating limit is 90 minutes, but that gave us plenty of time to enjoy our food. Will continue to visit when we re in town!
love their crab legs. Service is good with many varieties for everyone.
Very good, delicious food
Food was amazing, had to wait a bit in line as I had no reservations, service was good, would recommend
Overall good food!
Long waiting time. Excellent food Vegetarian options: Yes there is Food : 5/5 |
Dont count on their promo saying 15%discount. It exempts lots of items as well willnot give for patry tray combo. Donot mix up the party tray with regular dishes to loae the deal.
Forever fave
They kick you out. Really strict with 1.5 hour seating time, so rude. Not worth it
I liked its decoration the food was average. Salmon was not tasty and too much cooked. Servers were too busy so we waited a lot just for a napkin and longer for the bill
I came here with my mom for my birthday and the service was excellent! Our server Lili was very kind and attentive. The food is tasty and fresh with a great selection of choices. The decorations were really cool as well!
We were unable to dine at this restaurant, and here s why: after several unsuccessful attempts to reach them by phone to make a reservation, we decided to visit in person. Once there, we were told reservations could only be made through a device at the location. We followed the process, received a confirmation code via text, and waited. However, despite trying several times to ask about the expected wait time, we got no response. After waiting 50 minutes with no updates, we chose to leave and went to Paisano s instead, where we had a much more enjoyable experience. The lack of communication here was disappointing.
With reservation we were seated right away. Drinks for provided and we were eating within 5 minutes! Great service great atmosphere and great food! Vegetarian options: Vegetable rice, vegetable noodle vegetable options are lots available Parking: Recommend coming early to get good parking. Or get a ride.
Best Chinese buffet in GTA , better than woke of fame and Mandarine
The food was great and i had a great time here. The lobster was great but for some reason seemed very small. The sushi i would not recommend
From snow crab legs and prime rib to Peking duck and fish roe bricks and abalone, this place knocks it out of the park on the Sunday night dinners. Nor were they stingy in doling out the mountains of premium protein. Two small grouses ... Felt an MSG thirst an hour after, and during the dinner the server twice tried to remove my plate of carefully shelled crabmeat without asking. Etiquette training desired.
We had a group of 10 for a birthday lunch. Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend. Family friendly. Food : 5/5
An excellent place to go for some decent crab legs.. Go there hungry because on busy nights theres an hour and a half limit which is understandable, but the only downside. Cheers
Really busy place, make a reservation. great food lots of selection come hungry. seafood, seafood, seafood. Parking: Lots of parking just a little bit of a walk. Be a gentleman and drop ur guest off and get the steps in. Kid-friendliness: Lots of young families, lots of older ppl also
Lines up for everything. Food was like any othee ayce. Just small section of sushi, and theres a line up for that too. Pekind duck was great, but the line up are just as long.
Fresh food lots seafood and tasty
The food isnt good
The food was very good. I enjoyed the crab legs. Im looking forward to going back sometime soon.
Good experience all fresh and delicious thank you , good service.!
The roast beef was overcooked very dry and lukewarm. Also mash potatoes were runny and watery. I had a stellar beer that wasn t at proper temperature. The only thing I liked was the hot and sour soup. And the atmosphere
Such a disappointing experience. So we decided to try this place after a very long time and as it happened they had unlimited crab. As we were being seated, they told us we had 1.5 hours to eat. Considering it s Thanksgiving Weekend and very busy, we thought it was fair to use that as a guideline. We had no idea we would be kicked out whilst we were eating. It s apparent they don t consider how much time you waste waiting in line for food, especially the crab. Total sit down time we had was maybe 50 minutes. The wait staff are not very attentive as it s mainly a buffet but you still have needs. You really have to try hard to grab their attention. Our reservations were for 6:30 and we were seated by 6:40. At 7:40, as we are eating, the waiter comes over and says Last call for food - I said excuse me? He said Oh it s your last call for food, OK? I said Oh, you re kicking us out? He looked at me, nervously laughed, then walked away. Within 15 minutes of that, whilst we were eating, he came and grabbed the plate of crab off our table. We didn t even get to finish the food that we were eating. Needless to say we were extremely annoyed so we just got up to get ice cream. I will say this, and yes I m gonna go there we didn t notice them limiting the Asian customers to 1.5 hours. In fact, the table behind us was there and already eating when we sat down, and still eating when we were asked to leave. This is not an exaggerated review but simple facts. I can understand if we had gone past 2 hours and approaching 2.5 hours. But no, not the case. What a horrible customer experience. If you don t have a better option, give them a try.
Very expensive and food quality goes down hill. They also monitor what you take. The taste isnt the same. Also 19.99 for kids? Crazy. My kid ate fries n a pizza slice. New review 10/14/24 I am extremely happy with the change. Food is better. Taste extremely flavorful. Had so many options but unable to decide what to eat. I am extremely happy after my last visit. Seafood was so delicious and cooked perfectly. Mt kids even had more options. Bravo Will return.
Love the variety of seafood..from mussels, shrimp, calamari, steamed white fish and lots of steamed veggies.
Chinese buffet that offers Peking duck wrapped in rice crepes as a lunch item. Went on Thanksgiving weekend Saturday so it was busy. Long lines to get duck, sushi and roast beef stations, but the food was good and the staff efficient at topping up water glasses or clearing plates. I would recommend, but perhaps not on long weekends. Wheelchair accessibility: This facility adequately accomodated my mothers wheelchair access needs.
Good food for a good price! The service was average, the atmosphere was great with an average amount of people present during a Tuesday night, and the food selection was diverse enough. There s lots of meats, fish (including sushi) and classic Chinese dishes, like the soups and duck wrap station. One thing to note is they don t have much meat options if you don t eat pork. Otherwise, there s a very diverse dessert section, although I felt there weren t many appealing Chinese dishes or East Asian cuisine. The crab was also heavily overcooked in my opinion. A great buffet, but I m sure there s better out there!
Didn t like the food .. too oily .. chicken wings was too salty , kids was coughing all over the buffet area especially on sushi counter . Pressure to leave after 1.30 hour . No proper service .
Expensive so make sure to get your moneys worth. Most of what I had was pretty tasty but it wasnt really worth the price. You will have to eat a lot of the expensive stuff, crab legs, Peking duck, steak, etc., to really get your moneys worth. If you do go make sure youre very hungry.
This buffet restaurant is our familys favorite restaurant. We think the environment is good and the dishes are rich. Our family went there again on Friday night, August 17, 2017. Other changes were not much, but the noodles, which used to be artificial ramen noodles, were delicious! This time I went to get robot noodles, which were really delicious! Even the children at home said it was not as delicious as before!
All you can eat crab legs good twist on menu
My favourite Buffet in the city!!
The selection of food was great, and the freshness of the food. The lines are way too big/long! The atmosphere is very authentic, and charming. Restrooms are clean. Make a reservation for your own sake!
Delicious Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options Food : 4/5 |
Food is great but not as much selection as other buffets, cozy atmosphere though.
Disappointing Birthday Celebration - Not Worth the TikTok Hype I recently celebrated a birthday at Dragon Pearl, drawn in by the rave reviews on TikTok. Unfortunately, our experience fell flat. The ambiance was nice, but thats where the positives end. Considering it was a special occasion, the lackluster experience was especially disappointing. Maybe we came in with expectations too high, but I wouldnt recommend Dragon Pearl for special events or exceptional dining. Save your money and try elsewhere.
Better than the mandarin. Service lacked big time with drinks. Bathrooms were disgusting!
Were in a private room and it was very hot. Food is just like Mandarin.
this is the place. If your looking for good food this is the place. If your looking for sushi(like i was) this is the place. If you want a peaceful relaxing place her it is. you just gotta get a reservation Vegetarian options: good
