19c Finch Ave W, North York, ON M2N 7K4, Canada
We are a Chinese Sichuan restaurant located in Yonge/Finch. We cooperate with many takeaway platforms such as UBER , fantuan delivery(饭糰外卖), facedrive foods(小红车外卖) Welcome in and try
Don’t order your food from here because I ordered mine and its not the same as website pictures, no vegetables only green onions very very small pieces of chicken and lots of rice went back to restaurant and show them my food and their website and told thats what i want like the picture on your website and they said thats not their website but CLEARLY HAS YOUR ADDRESS YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND PICTURES OF YOUR RESTAURANT
Great Chinese food! Absolutely loved all the dishes packed with flavours and spices. They do have vegetarian options and dry pot potatoes were amazing 🤩
Flavours decent but too pricey for the portion you get. Lunch combo was $20 after tax and there are many better options nearby. Also tried the smoked pork fried rice but it was very bland and the portion was much smaller than say Congee Queen. Staff were super nice though.
Fantastic hot and delicious tofu served on to of rice! Side dishes (cabbage and tomatoe-scrambled egg) were also a nice addition to the main dish. Friendly service and clean restaurant. Great place for a quick lunch.
Impressive! The food quality and taste were 10/10, large servings as well. The staffs were nice, the place is clean, quite spacious. The fried rice was amazing. +following up on the reply: I do love liang pi haha! But I know it’s a tremendous amount of time and work to make the dish. But if possible, looking forward to it!
Great chinese place in North York! The service is on point and the food is very good, with large portions. The ambience of the place is really nice and charming. A special thanks to the team for letting me charge my laptop when it was dying. Life saver!
Hands down the best egg fried rice I’ve tried in Toronto! It’s perfect 🤌🏼 the menu selection is not wide, but there are guest fav dishes that are quite good. Great customer service (except for one time, when the regular server was away and there were random two servers who didn’t pay attention at all and didn’t even give us water pitcher while other tables had one, and we didn’t get water refills the whole evening, but this was one time thing only). I like that you can ask to regulate the spice level and even ask not to add certain ingredients (pork in my case) and they are very accommodating and cool about that. Love coming to this place, just the rice and crispy green beans are so worth it, and regular guy server is great!
Good flavour, small portions, reasonable price. Venue is pretty small — sits about 20 people. Food are prepared fast and piping hot when served. Fresh ingredients. Fish fragrant shredded pork (鱼香肉丝) and Kong Pao Chicken (宫保鸡丁) are a bit too sour and lack sweetness in my opinion. Kitchen noises are audible.
Our all-time go-to restaurant
A delicious restaurant that I will visit again Every dish is delicious! My favorite is the fried pork with chili pepper, which is super delicious!
The knife skills are not good, there is no flavor, there is too much oil, the food is unpalatable, please improve it.
The chef cooks delicious food and the service is great
Feel good pictures and praise are brushed out, I feel their oil is not fresh, eat diarrhea. Customers who actually order takeout rarely have time to write good reviews
Awesome lunch set with authentic taste.
The roast duck was tasteless, the roast duck didnt feel fresh, and the soup base tasted average. Usually when I have leftover maocai, I add something to it and cook it for a meal. I just throw this away so I won t want to eat it again.
The imperial dishes are too unpalatable. The Sichuan style roast duck recommended by Xiaohongshu is really unpalatable.
Have eaten here many times. Add a review, Here I mainly recommend fish-flavored shredded pork, spicy pepper sausage, pickled fish, and boiled fish. And stir-fried tender beef Recommended vegetables: garlic agarwood This restaurant is more suitable for 1-2 people to eat together. The price is relatively affordable, a stir-fry dish is less than 20 dollars, and one order of fried rice can feed 3 people. However, the new dishes are obviously not as polished as the previous ones. For example, the sauerkraut and beef are not as tasty. So overall I prefer the dishes served before. But the new curry fried rice and curry beef flavors are pretty good and worth trying. You can consider coming here for a set meal at noon. The price is relatively cost-effective. A set meal comes with rice, soup, and side dishes. Its actually equivalent to ordering a stir-fry and getting rice and side dishes, and the price is the same as ordering the stir-fry a la carte. So the comparison is good value and the portion is worthy of the price. My personal favorite is the spicy pepper sausage here. This sausage is considered to be the most delicious among the nearby shops, and the taste is also relatively clean.
This is another restaurant where the side dishes are more delicious than the main dishes. The braised pork is very average and feels like an overnight dish. The Kung Pao chicken is just right. The peanuts in it are delicious. The chicken is as tender as jelly and the meat powder is too much. The scrambled eggs with tomatoes are okay. , considering the price is not cheap, it really shouldn t be done like this
Worst place ever to work. I just learnt that the manager here ( has given me a fake ROE, and therefore delaying my application for employee insurance. He pays me the after tax salary, but seems to be avoiding the taxation process, all along. Working with him was traumatic, he always slept through the whole shift, and seldom helped in serving food. My shift would always be understaffed, because he never helped. Last time I worked here, I got gastroenteritis. Ive heard the chef has it too that day, and I threw up the whole weekend. He asked if I was okay, I told him I think most people got it, so the restaurant may be in a situation. He put me on read. The sanitary situation here is really bad, sometimes hait in the dish, Just stay out of this place. Btw, no point in giving tips too, cause they only share a fixed $20 at the end of the day. Just leave if youre working here lol.
Bad service
I came to Canada from the states for vacation. Went out for a chinese night. Had terrible experience at this resturant. Unprofessional rude staff, below average food. Wont be back again
I ve been living in Toronto for past six months. I m moving province soon so just went for a night out with friends to try new places. This has to be my worst restaurant experience i had not just in Toronto but all over Canada. There is no one qualified enough to serve at this store
I recently had the pleasure of dining at 19 19eatery, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant offers a cozy ambiance combined with a touch of traditional Chinese decor, creating a perfect setting for a memorable meal. Food Quality: The food at 19 19eatery is simply outstanding. We started with the Free-Range Chicken Pot, which was perfectly cooked with tender, flavorful chicken. The Spicy Blood Tofu Stew was a delightful mix of rich, savory flavors with just the right amount of heat. The Stir-Fried Cabbage with Pork Belly was another highlight, with the crispy pork belly complementing the fresh, crunchy cabbage beautifully. For the main course, we ordered Kung-Pao Chicken, which had a rich, savory flavor with a perfect balance of heat and sweetness. The Stir-Fried Ribs with Pepper and Garlic were tender and flavorful, with a delightful kick from the peppers and garlic. The Spicy Potato Fries were a surprising treat, offering a crispy, spicy twist on a classic side dish. Finally, the Mapo Tofu was perfectly prepared, with silky tofu in a spicy, flavorful sauce that was simply irresistible. Service: The service at 19 19eatery is impeccable. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server provided excellent recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. The food arrived promptly, and the staff frequently checked in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Ambiance: The restaurants ambiance is both elegant and inviting. The traditional Chinese decor, complete with beautiful lanterns and intricate woodwork, adds to the overall dining experience. The seating is comfortable, and the tables are well-spaced, providing a sense of privacy. Value: 19 19eatery offers great value for money. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is evident in every dish. Whether youre dining with family, friends, or on a date, youll find the prices reasonable for the exceptional quality of food and service. Overall: 19 19eatery exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The delicious food, excellent service, and charming ambiance make it a top choice for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit.
Really delicious food. Just moved to the area and excited to have Sichuan food available so close by!
Very rude busser/server guy here in the afternoon time!!! The food was also not so good
Not delicious
They said your order would be ready in 10 minutes and its been about 25 minutes and its still not ready, no one cares, especially the 2 women at the cash register. Ive never seen such a disgraceful system in my life.
This is absolutely the worst restaurant Ive ever been to. We have been harassed and had to leave because of how they treated us. We were a group of 6 and first of all as we sat down, this staff came up to us and said if its 6 people or more there s a 15% percent service charge. We were fine with it but as soon as we said we wanted to spit bills, thats where he went off and said its not possible since we came in a group..From there he started to threaten us and leave as if we were there for nothing.. this is the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in Toronto in last 2 years..
Absolutely disgraceful staff, not welcoming at all. Where asked a few questions about the menu and availability, the staff acted annoying and rude from that point. Extremely unprofessional. We were there for a table of six. When we said you wanted to split the bills threeway. The staff angrily responded we cant split the bill and we need to leave. My friend walked up and told him what was the problem asked why, the stupid staff said he was feeling threatened and called the police. This person is not capable of serving in the front of a restaurant. Fire him! I ll come again just to check.
So 6 of us went out at this restaurant and this young guy was serving he was probably the only one working in front of And here r the reasons for the 1 stars . We said we dont eat pork at from that moment he started acting up . While taking order he got annoyed because we asked for suggestions .When we asked if theres anything w/o pork he got real turnt up and start cussing in his lingo .when we asked whats this behavior he called his manager on phone but didnt let us talk to him and hes gonna call the cops if we dont go out all the time he was cussing tho Idk maybe its a good restaurant but maybe dont hire crackheads
Extremely unprofessional and rude service. Not going again
Bad service
Every dish is very delicious, the portions are good, and the seasoning is not too salty. Be sure to order their seafood dishes, which are super fresh! The store manager is very kind and a good store worth visiting again
Nice solid Chinese cuisine. It faces stiff competition in the neighborhood. If this shop was anywhere else it would be a 5 star. The dishes were delicious and authentic. I just didnt find anything amazing that stood out. Food
Hidden gem
Food was good, but when we arrived with 6 ppl, the server told us we have to pay at least 15% for the tips and they didn t really serve us during the dinner. I personally dont mind paying tips but i don t think any restaurant should require anyone to pay at least a percentage of tips
I don t know where the good reviews came from, but a big box of hot and sour potato shreds for takeout is $16+tax. Its dark enough and a money-stealer. I expected it to be a big box of shredded potatoes, but it turned out to be just like the picture. The taste is just like ordinary home-cooked food, and this restaurant is praised to the heavens.
Special thanks for providing veggie fried rice. Taste was amazing. It was unique. Warm atmosphere. Staff is professional, empathetic and understanding. Would love to visit again! Vegetarian options: Veggie fried rice without egg (On demand)
Sooo good! I ve revisited multiple times. If I have to be picky and say something constructive certain dishes could use a tad less oil.
I love their delicious tender beef and spicy and sour potato shreds! ! ! The tender beef is really tender, the shredded potatoes are really crispy, my new treasure Sichuan restaurant
Good place for Sichuan dishes. Highly recommend eggplant and mapo tofu. They make excellent . Food
Great food and experience at 19eatery. I ve come here multiple times now and it was great each time. Egg fried rice is a staple!
It tastes great. I often order takeout. The stir-fries taste great.
After ordering takeout rice balls, my partner and I both had diarrhea. It felt stale.
The waiters attitude is poor. I ordered a set lunch at this restaurant at noon. When the soup was served, I asked the waiter if the soup could be refilled, and the waiter gave me a positive answer. After I finished my soup, I wanted to refill it, so I waved to the waiter. When the waitress saw me, she didnt come over. She still stood at the counter and asked, Are you okay? I felt very strange. I signaled that it must be because I had needs. Why didnt she come directly instead of asking me from far away. After I said I wanted to refill the soup, she said I wanted two knives for a bowl. I was confused and said that I was told before that the soup could be refilled. At this time, the male waiter suggested to give me a refill, but the female waiter refused. I felt that a bowl of kelp soup was priced at $2 regardless of whether it was priced at $2. Why did the price change as agreed in advance? Later, the waiter explained that it was priced at $2. I checked the menu and did not find such a price. I hope the boss can unify the price and directly indicate on the menu that no refills are allowed. When I checked out, the waitress didnt ask me if I needed an invoice as usual. I eat at this store at least a few times a week, and Im not very satisfied with the service.
Very hot! Keep!
Lunch bento was hot, fresh, delicious and fast.
The lunch set includes meat, vegetarian and soup, so you can have a great meal by yourself! The dishes I ordered were stir-fried hot and steamy, and the accompanying vegetarian dishes were prepared in advance but kept warm well, and they were relatively fresh. Every time a friend comes to NY, he packs a copy and takes it back to DT.
Food is bland and oily. It is spicy but there is no other proper seasoning or flavor. The restaurant is kept as cold as a refrigerator and not at all comfortable for eating. Beef had a lot of not chewable pieces.
I ve ordered takeout many times and it s absolutely amazing.
Good places
Excellent Szechuan mala chicken dry pot if you dont mind working the bones. The dish they recommend it for 3-4 people but it was so good the two of us wolfed it down.
Very tasty, usually go there for 3 times a week. Best lunch at Yonge and Finch
The taste of the food is okay, but the pickled fish is not authentic enough and the rice is not delicious.
Very delicious. I like it very much.
Be sure to eat the stir-fried tender beef
I ordered a piece of saliva chicken, Mao Xue Wang, dry pot sausage, and fried rice. It tastes terrible! The service attitude was very good, maybe I ordered the wrong dish.
I ordered a piece of twice-cooked pork. More than 50% of the meat had a lot of pig hair. It was disgusting. I ordered a good one before, but I don t know what happened this time.
Those who ask for tips do not deserve tips. Worst place I experienced in Toronto. If you don t tip well enough, the male boss will sarcastically roll your eyes and keep hinting that you need to tip. A Chinese restaurant is responsible for the whole process of serving dishes. Is there any additional service? Are you brave enough to ask for such a big tip? Tips are very simple. I can give them proactively, but you are not qualified to ask for them. Once you ask for a tip, I wont give you a penny. Those who ask for tips do not deserve tips. Canada s immigration threshold is too low. Anyone can come. Its rare that I go to a place once and never go again, just waiting for it to close down.
Great food!
enjoyed lunch there.
worst restaurant in Canada. Never go there.
Everyone must avoid this crappy store. The male boss will constantly ask for tips from you, and will make fun of you if he doesn t give you enough. Canada s immigration threshold is too low, and anyone of any kind can really come here.
The high-cheekbone waitress was aggressive in asking for tip lol
this is definitely a 5 star restaurant, food is amazingly good at a reasonable price.
Oh boy! Even though I ve only had their pork belly dish and cold tripe dish, i suspect the rest of their menu is also an absolute 10. Go feast!!
The meals have always been stable and delicious, and my orders was delicious each time !
I ordered takeout, and the $20 stir-fried tender beef was full of chewy tendons, and there were even bones. I gained experience and admired it.
Good deal via app. V ry tasty food.
Loved their fried rice!
This is one of our regular restaurant for dinner or take out. Food is flavourful and served very fast. There are lots of options to choose from. Price reasonable too. Definitely recommend.
Authentic Sichuanese home style food
Delicious and reasonably priced. Those who are afraid of spicy food should adjust the spiciness level.
Plenty of portions, reasonable prices, fast service, and good service But the food is quite spicy, Kung Pao Chicken is a must-eat!
The service was excellent! The food is just a bit salty
Affordable and delicious, the service attitude is also good, I deserve that the business is better than before .
The food is served very quickly, the portions are large and the food is delicious! The service attitude is also friendly! Friends who live nearby can use this place as a canteen!
Really tasty food!! Had dine in and we ordered the Twice Cooked Pork Belly, Spicy Popcorn Chicken, and Fish Sauce Eggplant. Well priced and we were very satisfied. Would go again.
Authentic Chinese street eatery! Brings me back to my childhood in Sichuan! Great value for what you get!
The Kung Pao Chicken is average and the egg fried rice is delicious! Stir-fried green beans are delicious. I want to eat them again.
tasty! The best Sichuan food in Toronto! ! Still very clean The guy at the front desk has a very good service attitude and the food is served quickly.
Kung-Pao was very tasty, and the service was great. I decided to visit because of the reviews and my one dish was delicious. Looking forward to going back and trying other dishes. Next time Ill take pictures, but the current photos are accurate. Tip: I visited just after 5 pm and I beat the rush on a Monday evening.
The food is delicious! The portion is just too big for me. I hope there will be an option (60% quantity, 70% price) in the future so that I don t have to eat leftovers for the second meal.
I came alone and ordered fried pigs kidney. It was tasty and the price is reasonable. Place is small but relatively clean! Will come back again.
It tastes very good and the ingredients seem to be handled very cleanly! The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the service is great. The hot and sour chicken offal is highly recommended. It is flavored with pickled peppers and tastes particularly refreshing and appetizing. This store really feels like it s been a long time since we met! EXCELLENT food and service! Super authentic southwestern Chinese taste, please ask for less spicy if you are not a super fan of spicy food. Price is reasonable as well. This is a must-try spot. Highly recommended!!
Very delicious Hunan food. Come often
The taste is perfect, delicious and not greasy. The only drawback is that the waiter makes too much noise when cleaning up. Can you put the plates gently into the cart and not use the lost ones? And the chair is made of iron, so dont kick it in with your feet.
Hunan certified! So delicious
Not bad to eat
Many dishes are legit!
It became a canteen
I ordered a lunch set and an a la carte stir-fry on their website, but when I took it home, I found that both portions had been stir-fried... and the pork liver tasted bitter, and many slices had pink blood in them that had not been stir-fried. Ripe. Although the twice-cooked pork is cut very thin, it tastes like bacon... The fried rice with bacon, sprouts, vegetables and eggs tastes good. Anyway I wont go there again.
Very delicious. Great for eating.
If you wanna try traditional Hunan and Sichuan cuisine, this is the right place to go!
very delicious food and taste is constantly good.. EDIT My canteen
The lunch specials they launched at that time can be said to be very cost-effective. Being able to spend just over ten yuan to eat a set meal of three dishes and one soup in a place like YF where land is so valuable makes me wonder if the owner of this shop is doing charity The taste is also very good
Can
Is this sick? I ordered 3 dishes and these two came directly to me. Then I still didn t want to eat them. I didn t check the order when I placed the order. I spent 60 and had a bad meal. The driver didn t even call me back if he got the wrong one. See you in Xiaohongshu.
Food is good, and customer service is great!!
Very original chinese cuisine. It is not a fusion of other Asian cuisine Vegetarian options: There is tofu and eggplant options available
Authentic Sichuan restaurant! Recommend stir-fried liver and kidneys, stir-fried chicken offal, couples lung slices, bean sprouts fried rice, and hand-shredded cabbage. Every dish is delicious!
I often order takeout from this restaurant on Uber. It suits my taste very well and it is basically my go-to restaurant. Please continue to maintain this level!
I order both delivery and do dine in here from time to time. It is an authentic Chinese restaurant with excellent food (I have tried the kungpao chicken, tomato egg rice, shredded garlic pork and other dishes, all are top notch). Staff are super friendly and accommodating, portions are generous and represent good value. Highly recommend
Every dish is delicious, the restaurant is clean and the boss has good service. The portion is very large and suitable for sharing with many people/booking out events
Great chinese food, especially the crispy green beans and stir fried intestines.
This is my first time taking the initiative to write a Google review! Because it s really delicious and more authentic than the stir-fried dishes in many Chinese restaurants! Touched The taste is very good! (Coming to comment a few months later, I don t know if the chef has changed and it s different from before)
Rice was in another plastic container. Not that tasty but the taste was okay. Not very spicy. Good packing and presentation.
Very delicious and affordable
Had the egg fried rice and the stir-fried pork belly with green peppers. Very tasty, generous portions and friendly service.
This has become my canteen. I come here to eat every day.
The food was good and the price was reasonable. Should totally check it out!
The store has an unassuming appearance, but it s not hard to find on the popular Yonge & Finch section. Specializing in Sichuan and Hunan cuisine, of course you have to try [Sauerkraut Fish] and [Maoxuewang] [Sauerkraut Fish] Although boneless fish is used, the taste is very delicious. The sauerkraut is so sour that it is appetizing, has no residue, has a good taste, and is particularly delicious. Add bean sprouts and pickled peppers, it s sour and spicy! [Maoxuewang] A red pot with yellow throat, luncheon meat, large intestine, hairy tripe, duck blood, and bean sprouts. Super filling and deliciously spicy! Their side dishes are also very good~~ [Braised Beef Tripe] Very tasty, not too hard [Cheat Sheet Tender Beef] The beef is fragrant and chewy, perfect for side meals! [Hand-Shred Cabbage] Sweet and crispy, with plenty of flavor [Hot Kidney] Refreshing, tender and fragrant. The perfect meal choice! Basically, food lovers will find it difficult to resist its products, as the portions are very generous. Now there are discounts for dine-in, it s such a good deal, the price-performance ratio is so high, it s absolutely amazing! !
Its a newly opened place, at first I was doubt about here since there were only 8 reviews. Decide to give it a try after a friend ordered their take out and said its pretty good. So we dined in, and the food blow us away. Authentic Chinese spicy cuisine.
The food was extremely tasty. The price was really reasonable.
Very Very Very Yummy and Fulan ( Hunan Province of China) Local Style Restaurant. As a Hunan Born girl , this place is amazing! I can taste my mother town from the dishes, really fit my appetite and really hit my heart. Love it! Will come back soon~
Affordable price and sufficient quantity
Rlly not bad.
Very generous and sincere! The lunch special includes two side dishes, a rice bowl and soup. The service is also very good. Good review!
The taste is good, the dry pot is highly recommended, especially the dry pot sausage
