Always enjoy my dining experience here They are very warm and inviting The soft music and calm environment is so nice. Especially while waiting for your appointments I definitely recommend this cafe

Ordered a cup of tea and the meat lasagna on the menu. The lasagna was good, though it could have been heated up some more and less watery. Service was excellent

My wife and I just went to Baretto Caffe for the third time. We are consistently impressed. For a caffe in a medical building, its seriously impressive. For starters, the cashier/server greets you in a friendly, Italian way. Secondly, the food itself - its amazing. Ive had a few things - the omelettes, the lasagna and the Baretto panini. All of them excellent. And the service itself, also outstanding. You dont expect table service at a cafe, but Baretto has it anyway. After youve finished your meal, the waiter (who might also be the owner, Im not sure) asks how everything was. You get the sense that its not just for politeness, but he really wants to know. All in all, Baretto Caffe is a consistent, pleasant, delicious experience through and through.

Glad I found this place, it truly is a hidden gem. Probably the best coffee I ve had in Toronto.

I hopped in there based on ratings. I had the cortado; not that it wasnt good but Ive had much better ones. The customer service is great. I was told to sit and enjoy my coffee and pay later after I was done. Didnt taste the food, but they have so many options.

If you have 1/2 hour... delight yourself with a quick meal... recommend. Surprise yourself with my advice. Parking: N/A

Visiting a dear friend in Toronto and as I have italian roots she wanted me to have the best espresso. Thanks to Google we fell on this gem which indeed offered an espresso which truly hit the spot. I had a taste of my friends cappuccino and it was so authentic and delicious that I ordered one also! We had a cornetto farcito con crema and another with crema di pistachio: we were momentarily and divinely transported to Rome! Staff and service impeccable and personal. The owner took time to chat with us to share story about his native Rome, his love for this business and his young family! I highly recommend that you visit.

Got an iced latte for $7 which is disappointing because it s too expensive for the quality. Not worth it especially with the price.

I ordered an oat latte and it was delicious. Not only did he ask me to sit down so I could wait, but he also brought me a glass of ice water without being asked and gave me a slip with the wifi password . Great service , cozy atmosphere and music that isnt overwhelming .

Manuelle provided unbelievable customer service and such an amazing breakfast that I could not fathom exist in the neighborhood. When you talk about an authentic Italian experience, I cant see that conversation happening without Barreto Caffe being highlighted. To top it off, Manuelle is part of the small few today that believes in exceptional customer service, ensuring a guest walks away feeling better than they walked in. Please, please, please try this Caffe! Even if it means a detour from your regular route or routine. Heres pictures from my first experience at the Caffe, Ill definitely be back for more! A hidden gem. Lovely staff, wonderful food. They even have an outdoor patio hidden in the pathway of the building (only used by the cafe patrons). They serve authentic Italian coffee and cakes. I had an omelette (very nice and filling), and my husband had a lasagna (served the right way - fully covered by the sauce and parmesan cheese). We will definitely come back here

I came here while I had to wait for my gf and this place is a gem! Lots of healthy options and the coffee is delicious! The waitress told us there was a patio at the back. We had a beautiful lunch there! The portions are generous and my gf could not finish the whole panini even though it was delicious. We purchased 5 drinks and not a single person enjoyed their beverage. Despite asking for 1pump of flavor in most drinks, they all came full sweetness and were all much to sweet for our liking. None of us could finish our drinks without adding more espresso or milk to balance out the sweetness.

The service is outstanding, the coffee rich, the espresso delightful, the pastries delicious. Surrounded by tasteful furniture and plants, with plenty of seating, classic jazz, natural light, and a glass waterfall, the atmosphere makes for a truly enjoyable visit.

my favourite cafe in the area, most kind owners, been coming here for years for their ginseng latte! i wish this could be closer to home, but used to come here often during a lunch break (before covid). so happy to know it s stayed busier, i stop by whenever i get the chance! don t hesitate to come for coffee. or quick lunch. it s simple and quick, not anything fancy but the owners put lots of effort into making the food and making sure you have a great experience!

I assume it was the owner who I interacted with. I didn t know he was closed as he was inside doing some work (looked as if he was prepping food) I went in and ordered and he made the most delicious cappuccino I ve ever tasted. Way better than any big chain.His system wasn t running as he was closed so he asked if I had any cash. Unfortunately I dont carry cash on me. He said no problem and to just bring it in next time I m in the building. I believe his young daughter was there helping him out as well. Such a lovely man. I will for sure be back!! With what I owe him and for another amazing cappuccino. It s so nice to find good people and in today s world when life is so expensive it s heartwarming to find people who are willing to wait and trust. Thank you again! You made my Sunday. I literally search for pizza near me , and this cafe appeared with great reviews. And I came to give it a try and was intrigued as I saw a medical building, the cafe is inside and is a hidden gem. Great food, the tomato soup is amazing.. and the pizza as well.. also had a cappuccino.. so I think is a great choice for either breakfast or brunch. And I was amazed that a coffee place inside a hospital could be that great. Totally recommend it. Wonderful service.

This little gem was a great find! It s a bit hidden as it s behind and within a larger building. It s got decent parking and a fair amount of seating. This is a casual eatery/cafe, order at the counter and sit wherever and they will bring you the food. The shopkeepers were super friendly. The price to portion of food was very reasonable! The food was hot, delicious and made to order! My favourite was the prosciutto and egg toast! The espresso beverages taste great. I would highly recommend visiting this cafe if you re in the area. An overdue visit to this authentic coffee shop which we wanted to visit a while back and it did not disappoint. It is a middle of a commercial/office type area with decent amount of parking. We loved the service which was top notch from beginning till the end. This cafe has Italian goods specifically imported from Italy. We had the butter croissant, croissant caprese, cappuccino and orange/peach tea. Everything hit the spot! Next time we will have more breakfast items as they have a diverse breakfast menu. Thanks!

I was so pleasantly surprised with my experience. The prices are fair and reasonable, the service was exceptional and the food was phenomenal. You have the choice to take the food to go or sit down- if you choose to sit they bring the food to you. The seating area isnt large but gives you options for seating groups or single people. They also have other snacks to buy like cookies and chocolate. I ordered a slice of pizza that comes with salad ($5.99) and a bagel with cream cheese ($3.99) it was fresh hot and delicious. The service and food quality is something Id expect from a fancy and expensive restaurant however they give you everything youd want in eating out but with a better price.

I went to this cafe with friends to share my secret place. I told them that their coffee and food are good. When I got there, two people were inside. One of them told me, This place is a hidden gem; you found the right spot. Later, the other one also said, This cafe is nice. LOL. They were excited to share how nice this cafe is. We enjoyed Prosciutto pizza, garden salad, chicken panini, and latte. Everything was so good, and there was very good customer service from the owner. Thanks; we will definitely come back.

A hidden gem of Italian Cafe located inside a medical building. Food and coffee were fabulous. The pasta with Alfredo sauce was so rich and creamy. The Americano Misto was the best that I have tasted in Toronto. The service was excellent and the price was good. Highly recommended!! Parking: Lots of free parking around the medical building.

At first I could not find the building. But I was glad to figure out it was in the advanced health building. Because Walking in. I got to see beautiful ponds and koi fish by the window. As I walked into Barreto Cafe I was expecting authentic fresh Italian cuisine. And I got exactly that. I grew up thinking salads were cow food and was disgusting. The chef at Barreto has given me an epiphany. I could not believe how sweet the tomatoes were and how fresh the rest of the salads were. The cheeses that I tasted and Italian deli meats were delicious. This is a chef who tastes and selects their ingredients, and you can taste it in their food. I m glad to have found this hidden gem. My girlfriend and I will be regulars here. The decor is homie and has artful snapshots on the wall of places in Italy. As well as a wonderful shot of the restaurant back when it was originally opened in Italy in the late 19th century. I appreciate seeing the chefs journey. And it was a delight to eat delicious food that was healthy and made my girlfriend and I feel great.

Nice place. I went there because my family doctor is in the same building. I was not expect the small coffee shop in a medical building will produce any delicious thing. But it dose. I ordered hazelnuts cappuccino and it s so amazing. The sauce of Lasagna is a little bit heavy(I personally don t like tomato sauce. Order this by a wrong understanding) Will try Alfredo sauce pasta and pizza next time.

LOVED this place! The staff were SO kind and friendly. I got the prosciutto panini, a vanilla latte, and a chocolate croissant. The sandwich was great as well as the latte. The croissant was NEXT LEVEL though! When I tell you that it was the best chocolate croissant I ve ever had, I m not exaggerating. It was flaky, soft, and the chocolate was so delicious and decadent. The cafe also had a lot of seating options and once your ordered, you sit down and they bring the food out to you so you don t have to stand while waiting. If you re ever in the search for a refreshing coffee, amazing sandwich, life changing croissant, this is the place!

We were a party of five. Water was brought upon request and we submitted our order. Our Italian sandwiches were most tasty and very delicious. We topped off our meal with cappincinos which were very well presented and tasty. We added biscottas from their retail store. Thanks a lot for a most delicious lunch experience.

We had the mushroom and sausage alfredo penne and prosciutto panini. The salad was in the alfredo sauce, and the alfredo sauce was thinner than expected. The garlic bread also looked and tasted like frozen garlic bread. The panini was delicious, but it has cheddar, which is not stated on the menu. The ginseng cappuccino was very good as well

We got cappuccinos for take out. It tasted like coffee flavoured water with a bit of milk. Unfortunately I was super disappointed.

Have wanted to try the espresso drinks here for awhile and got the chance to a few weeks ago! And so sad I didn t come here earlier! Totally found my espresso place in the neighborhood! Nice little cafe inside an office & medical building, it s surprising to see something so awesome in building like this! The espresso is smooth with a nice bold flavour and I got the Irish cream latte and the Irish cream flavour is strong, but not overpowering! And there s so many awesome espresso based drinks I want to try now! Went out of my cortado comfort zone on first time cafe experiences and so happy I did! The service was amazing as well! Super friendly and just a nice vibe going on with the people working here! Even gave me recommendations on flavours as I usually get the regular no flavour coffees, lattes, etc Great job overall! Definitely recommend and will be returning for sure! And when weather gets a little warmer, you can sip your drink while relaxing by the koi pond they have out front! This location is mobility accessible. This is located at a medical building and hidden from the road. If you are coming from the south on Don Mills it tells you to make a U-turn at Chipping Rd and then turn right. What it actually means is just turn right at the light into the medical complex. The Caffe is just behind the entrance of the parking lot. The Caffe is really nicely decorated. There is 2 seating areas. The selection is much larger than shown online. They have fresh pastries and a large selection of items for breakfast or lunch. I had the fried egg with lettuce and tomato. It was very tasty. They offer dine in or take out. If you dine in, they offer table service. If you are in a hurry, I would suggest either doing take out or let them know you are in a hurry. It was pretty busy when I was there so there were a lot of customers to tend to. The staff were all very friendly. I was glad we found this location to visit. It has a very welcoming vibe compared to many coffee chains and a great place to relax and meet with friends or family.

Love this little Italian cafe. Its (too) well hidden inside a medical building but youll see it once youre in the parking lot. It looks fishy to me at the start because it looks like one of those cafeteria restaurants inside office building, but surprisingly it is an amazing place. The lasagna is quite good, along with the salad and toast that comes with it. The cappuccino is a bit too light for me but it comes with cute latte art. The real star of the place is definitely the service, the staff are super welcoming and friendly. Would definitely come back for the food and the espresso! P.S. Everyone in the review mentioned theres cortado but its not on the menu

Surprised this customer service still exists very very welcoming and kind staff here! Keep up the good work,lattes/espressos were on point and amazing. The caprese panini was soooooo tasty definitely coming back again... must try!

Amazing coffee and pizza!

I had a latte at Baretto Caffe. It was really bad. The milk was way to hot and it tasted like hot milk.

Excellent service and delicious food. We will come back. It is inside a Health Care Center but its amazing as a stand alone. Go visit and youll enjoy it.

Everything from the staff to the foods are superb. The must try place to eat .

Tucked away in the medical Center, but such a cute service they provide. Absolutely polite, food looks and smells delicious. Only grabbed a sandwich, but would definitely want more. Latte was delicious and adorable! And they ll serve you with absolutely politeness.

Staff here is great specially the owner, the food is as healthy and fresh you can get with an amazing taste

Cute little cafe thats hidden away. The tiramisu cake was delicious. Espresso macchiato and cortado was done perfectly as well.

Kindest humans ever. My mom is in Toronto for a surgery, and these wonderful people have gone the extra mile to make sure she got food on a day they were closed. Please support this place, they have the warmest of hearts, and I hear the food is fantastic!

We haven t visited and dine in for a long time. All the food and coffee quality are still excellent. The pizza crust is crunchy. Baretto Antipasto ingredients are so fresh and the spices/olive oil/balsamic vinegar are so balance. The Lasagna with meaty sauce is so tasty. We need to come back more in the future

This is my husbands favourite cafe in the GTA (... anywhere, maybe) and he and his friend will each travel half an hour to meet up here for the ginseng coffee. He ate there for the first time today and enjoyed it also. He always comes back super pleased with the coffee, the service and the atmosphere, and today he added the almond croissant to his list of recommendations. Give it a try!

This place is a true hidden gem. If you happen to be getting some sort of medical procedure at the medical building it s located in, treat yourself to something delicious from this Caffe. I had the chicken panini which was great and my husband had the Caprese panini. Their iced matcha is very good. It comes sweetened which is perfect. And the customer service is incredible. These are good caring people 100% recommend.

We dropped by this cafe for a coffee & snack we liked our coffees & really enjoyed our hot, tasty, freshly prepared chicken panini but most of all we loved the friendly, warm & welcoming energy of the folks who ran this cafe!

This special spot has now become my favourite go to cafe spot in the neighborhood. You feel welcomed here , the cortado is always to perfection, and the croissants , oh my goodness!!!!! They are delicious ! I always end up eating more than one ! It really gives you an authentic Italian experience. This is a family run business and everyone makes you feel so welcomed and happy, always greeted with a smile , it s amazing , I love this spot ! So happy your in my neighborhood !

Great food and great people

A hidden gem! I ordered a mango cheesecake and a London fog, you could tell the owner made every dish special. The family was very kind and approachable, I learned that they also have a cafe in Italy! The customer service was beyond - thank you for the lovely experience!

Today I visited a small cafe that is very popular on the Internet. The sandwiches are really crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the vegetables are fresh and juicy, and the chicken is tender. The boss is so cute. He told me that the pizza was not delicious and refunded my money and even gave us a cup Coffee The pizza is really delicious, the dough is very chewy, the ham and sesame leaves are very fresh, and it is baked with a mixture of two different cheeses. No wonder such a small shop is so popular
