Love this place for dim sum and dinner. Bring all my out of town guests because of the decor
First I want to say that the atmosphere was very good. It was loud enough for you to have a private conversation but not loud enough that you cant hear each other. Interior is also very clean and unique. Now to get into the food. All the dishes tasted good but doesnt blow you away. To start off with the duck course. It comes in two courses the first is sliced breast with wraps and a variety of fried vegetables. The flavors were there but not so strong. Especially for the fried vegetables I would say their only purpose is to add more crunchy texture. The second course is stir-fried duck with lettuce wrap. I personally enjoyed it more cause it had more flavor and the cuts were somewhat uniform. The squid tentacles were well seasoned with a grilled type of aroma. The fried custard ball was also very delightful because if the rich creamy custard and can crispy yet chewy exterior. There was also a carrot looking dish which actually had meat inside and similar texture to the sesame ball. The rest of the dishes were well made but nothing really stuck out. The service was very good because the servers were walking by very frequently which made it easy to ask for water, utensils and sauce. They were also very helpful explaining the menu when we were confused about the dish description on the menu. Lastly the price is.. well we came to eat duck and dim sum so we knew it was going to be pricey. The total was 200 after tax. Each person was about 50 dollars. Closing statement: The food is satisfactory but I wouldn’t consider it Fine Dining.
Food is decent but I am leaving a bad review because the staff was very rude to us. Receptionist was yelling at us when we made a reservation and the waiter had the audacity to tell us we didn't tip enough. It's a shame they think they are entitled to a high tip. We left her an extra tip after she said that so she has money to pay her rent but we will definitely not be returning. Please train your staff better.
The papaya tomato & mushroom soup is delicious. It’s sweet and full of umami flavor. The chicken was not tender and the portion is small. The sweet and sour pork on the ice is purely a gimmick. It doesn’t taste great and most importantly, there’s no meat, only the batter. The beef short rib is also meh. The lobster and the scallop and broccoli are just average. The highlight is actually the dessert, the red bean soup with sago. It’s not too sweet and thick but not starchy like you’d find in most of the other restaurants. The service is really good though.
Food: 4 Stars Service: 3 Stars Ambience: 3 Stars Value: 3 Stars Overall: 3.25 Stars Crown Prince Fine Dining and Banquet offers a pleasant experience for dim sum enthusiasts. I visited for a casual weekend brunch, expecting a mix of traditional and modern dishes, and I wasn't disappointed. The food quality is notably good, with fresh ingredients that stand out in each dish. The tea selection complements the dim sum well, enhancing the overall dining experience. Service at Crown Prince is decent, though not exceptional. The staff were polite and relatively attentive, but there were moments where I felt the response time could have been quicker, especially considering the restaurant wasn't at full capacity. Despite this, the overall atmosphere was calm and enjoyable, making it a comfortable place to dine. One of my favourite dishes was the milk egg tarts. They come with bird's nest on top, which, while luxurious, I felt was an unnecessary addition to an already delightful dessert. The tarts are creamy and rich, making them a highlight of the meal. However, it's worth noting that the pricing here is on the higher side, which might be a consideration for those looking for more affordable options. In summary, Crown Prince Fine Dining and Banquet is a nice place for a decent dim sum experience. The food is fresh and of good quality, with some standout dishes like the milk egg tarts, though the prices may be a bit steep for some. If you're looking for a more upscale dim sum outing with great tea and a pleasant atmosphere, this place is worth a visit. kellychan360
Have not been here since about 7 years because of bad service of running after you for more tips. Well, today I return to check them out. Their new menu items I tried was a bit disappointing- ie, the shark fin seafood with chicken soup ($24) tasted and looked more like your “Hot & Sour soup”. Scammed! At least this time they did not run after you for tips but suggested a minimum of 12%. They also accept credit and imposed a tea charge of $2.50 for lunch?
Used to come here when I was small and now saw that they reopened as a fine dining restaurant This presents as a high end restaurant both in atmosphere and price. However at least with the price you get generous portion sizes that don't "cheat" but putting random crap under your food to prop it up. The service is friendly and attentive. I had a server out of nowhere notice my plate was full of bones etc and instinctively came with a new plate to swap out. As mentioned before serving size is representative of the price. Their Har Gow (Shrimp Dumpling) are massive. I was also very surprised with some twists on traditional Chinese dimsum such as the Fish Paste Rice Roll with ACTUAL Black Truffle! Yumm Give them a try, but be forewarned, I highly suggest you call ahead and rsvp *edit* came here for dinner the other day and the quality and service is just as good as the dimsum service. Portion sizes are very reasonable and the house soup (fish soup with mushroom, papaya & tomato) was absolutely delicious
My husband and I were their downtown regulars from grand opened to our VIP card granted, then we had our wedding banquet and all the way to the business shutdown Today we decided to drive an hour to this uptown location just because we missed the “Crown” dining experience. It’s our first time here but it’s all familiar, from decor to food, it brings back memories Trust me I wanted to leave 5 stars on all aspects, especially for the tasty food and servers during our visit (ordered 18 items for the 2 of us)…unfortunately I just couldn’t get over at the end we have to pack and box our own leftovers, given that we spent over $100 per person and you “crowned” yourself “fine dining”. Furthermore, while we confirm if their VIP card from their shutdown downtown location is still good, the woman manager didn’t even make any eye contact with us and replied “No !”….talked about getting an extremely rude response or attitude from some service providers, it’s so frustrating. That’s it, not returning
Very good food and service. Delicious
Tipping is compulsory. If you don t tip, you won t be allowed to leave.
Service there is too bad! The front desk and server are really rude.
I always ate it before the epidemic! It still tastes the same and the waiter is very enthusiastic.
The dim sum was sooo good!
This is a long-established morning tea restaurant. I often come here when I have dinner with colleagues. It tastes good.
I had a meal last time. The food was absolutely good and delicious. Basically, you won t order anything bad, but the service was bad enough. I asked the waiter to get some water but even tissue paper was not brought. I asked three or four times before giving it. You will show off your face to the customers. No matter how delicious this attitude is, you won t want to go there again. Let s train the staff first. When you check out, are you still asking for tips? Do you deserve it? Consumption is a reward for your good work. We should not give it to you. Don t give it to you. Shameless
Too slow
Very disappointed experience. Food quality doesn t match the price. And they really persisted with the tips, if you pay under 12% they will confront you and give you bad face. Will never visit again. Food
Jumbo sized dim sum restaurant. Reasonably priced.
Many people are noisy
Crown Prince is a large bustling Chinese restaurant with a large selection of Dim Sum. Dishs are brought steaming and quickly. Food
Very good. Food taste not as tasty as my last visit. Still a wonderful experience.
Prices have definitely gone up over the years, but thats everywhere now. Steamed prok buns are still the best here. Portions are large and still taste great. Egg tarts are super flakey and delicious. Food is made to order so its aleays fresh and hot. We love to come here when were craving dim sum. Vegetarian options: Fave is the steamed mushroom bean curd rolls Parking: Depending on time, parking spots might be limited. Park a little further in the lot and you should be okay if you dont mind walking.
I have never seen such bad service!
Good dim sum place.
Awesome dimsum place very ritizy feeling.
I ve eaten at more than ten restaurants and I still think it s the best in Toronto. If this older generation of Cantonese people were gone, maybe today s tea snack would not be available in many years. Eat and cherish
Grand environment for fine cantonese cuisine dining...very good...
The dim sum here are really good. As a Cantonese , my favorite dim sum is always sweet egg yolk paste layer cake ( ). It was part of my childhood memory. I know this dim sum is difficult to be made so lots of dim sum places in HongKong or Guangzhou no longer make this type of dim sum.. Im glad they have it here!
Very nice for banquet
Went for dimsum, no wait for Sunday lunch. Some hits some misses, mostly misses. Steamed dishes are below mid. Kitchen dishes absolutely horrendous, no seasoning. Renovations and atmosphere are good food is not. Would not return
Too bad to eat
Loved the Dim Sum, very fresh and flavourful and large portions. We also had great service and liked the atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
Very quiet on week day evening. Surprised to have small flies flying around and landing on food.
The food is so so. Servers only say good morning to customers they know and ignoring others who come along.
Expensive but good dimsum
Extremely bad service, unfair table sequence arrangement.
The quality has been going down overtime but still offers some of the best dim sum in GTA. The egg tart used to be my favourite but is missing its key ingredients now. There is very little Custer and the crust is hard. Pineapple bbq bun and everything else are still delicious. The shrimp role is surprisingly good. Freshly made with crispy skin and soft shrimp filling.
Nice chinese restaurant for dim sum.
Great dim sum!
Overcharged and quality went down too much . One dish of Fresh lobster with Maggie sauce charged over $240. I won t go any more.
It s expensive. Bitter melon doesn t taste good.
This is a gem of a restaurant! Very clean and well maintained. Decor is rich with a European feel with statues, pillar, large, paintings, giant vases and numerous chandeliers. Food was delicious and the dishware was nicer than the regular plain white ones in other restaurants. Service was very good...except that one of the head male staff could be more friendly.
I love my experience here. Food quality is high. You could tell the dim sum is more refines than other local dim sum joints, in particular in Sauga. If you are ever in the area I would highly recommend this restaurant. They have a large variety of dim sum items to select from, including special items you dont see elsewhere. The dishes are on the pricier side but I think for the quality it is great value for money. As for the ambiance, they are going for this cross of Victorian? and very chinese bougie vibe with red and gold theme and serving tea in this Victorian porcelain tea set. I would avoid the rush hour and come after 1pm if on weekends. We came at around 1:30pm on a Saturday and we got a table right away.
Very delux but strange decors for Chinese dim sum restaurant. They used to have all the middle aged waitress dressed in maid dress. Thank goodness they don t do that no more To have a good meal it s important to order a bit of congee and not dim sums only. Fish Maw & Pork Bone w/ Peanut Congee is really nice. The dim sum here is quite big portion.
I went there today for Mother s Day,very disappointed. This restaurant seemed fancy and rich but it isn t .My grandma gave a red pocket to our main waiter but then all the waiters must be at lease 10 were crowing my grandma for money. They tried to act helpful but they were just trying to get money from my grandma. My mom said to them she s out but they gave and still tried but didn t work. Soon our main waiter was like replaced by these crazy waiters who was begging my grandma for money, the waiters simply said it s okay I m doing it know but she never served us u tik the money situation. This is unacceptable behaviour coming from an high end restaurant. It seems like these workers don t get paid. The food was also very over priced for not got food and I had to pay 634 dollars for nothing. Waste of money and time .Will truly not visit ever again.
Every time I come for tea, I feel happy and satisfied
An Overall Great Lunch (Diem-Sum) Experience We only chose to come here since it was within walking distance from TenderCare. We had diem-sum TWICE during our visit to see a relative last Aug 2023 and most recently on Mar 2024. I hate coming to Chinese restaurants here in Toronto. Hostesses would not speak in English so I had to guess whether our No. was called or not! The wait was chaotic. Eventually we got a spot for 5 in a very tight corner (2nd room) but otherwise cozy table. On our 2nd visit things were much more pleasant despite the long wait. Didn t care if we didn t get to sit on the main fancy room as long as the diem-sum was good which was not bad. My wife admitted that the food was good for the prices. Portions were big and fresh. Service was slow but that s because the few staff members around seemed overworked. On our 2nd visit we sat right on the main room which was quite nice. The serving was a lot faster and food was tasty. I will still consider coming here. Wish the hostess realizes that NOT everyone (customers) speak Chinese. At least on my 2nd visit I saw some improvement. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it was but still quite to squeeze Auntie in.

Very good restaurant with delicious food, reasonable prices and excellent service.
Grand and opulent dining hall with tons of tables was a great atmosphere for a dimsum meal with friends. Price was fantastic, food came out hot and delicious. Definitely get the Siu Mai in Sichuan sauce.
Extremely bad service with normal food.
$35 take out gave us 3 half bowel soup, seriously, it s just starch and some egg white
Love this place best Dim Sum ever! Reasonable prices and great service Food
Rude servers
1st time lunch with business partner... very clean, well decorated, very good food. Very satisfied. Will definitely return with the family for dinner, soon.
I did a walking and paid $51.98 for a plate of plain rice practically since it had 6 little shrimps or more like 2 large ones cut in small pieces, and a few paper thin strips off chicken here and there tasted like nothing and the sweet and sour chicken was lost oin the take-out plate highly disappointed did worth the time or money .
We ate here today at lunch. Food is tasty , reasonable price, nice chinese decor. Dinner is also tasty.
Always really enjoy, going here!
Standard dim sum fare. Not a pass by any stretch.
I went to have morning tea with my friends on February 2nd, and while paying the bill, I bought rice cakes from the store. When I took out the New Year s Eve dinner on the 9th, I found that there were mold spots in two or three places. It was so frustrating.
Heard good things about this restaurant but was disappointed. They first asked if I wanted tea when seated and I said no tea thank you. On the bill they still charged me $5 for Tea, and when I told the waitress she said its just called Tea on the bill but its all included for the table, tea and water. How is there a flat charge of $5 just to be seated and have water. Food was average. Ended up paying around $50 for 4 items plus tea that I didnt even order.
If you dont have a reservation, you dont go. The three of us arrived at 11:17 in the morning and got the number 27. At that time, the number was called 18. An hour later, the number was only called 20. It turns out that as long as there is a reservation, they will be arranged immediately no matter when they make the reservation and when they come, but the staff will not tell you, so you will just wait stupidly. If I hadnt found out, I dont know how long I would have to wait, because I dont know how many people had already booked a table and were scheduled in front of me while I was waiting. Queuing for morning tea is normal, but such an unreasonable wait for the first time. If your reservation has reached the saturation limit, please do not receive non-reservation guests, or at least inform them in advance instead of waiting for an hour like us. I decided to change places when I had no chance of seeing him again.
Great food and great service
Love love LOVE this place ! Dimsum was extremely yummy
Nice restaurant for Chinese meal.
very nice
The wait was too long, but the taste was okay.
Overall food and atmosphere, service is quite good. Like most dim sum places there are superb dishes and some okay ones. The majority of what we tried was really tasty ! Har gow and siu mai are good! Rice noodle roll is okay
Food was excellent but lacking in service. The Siu-my were huge. But had to ask for mustard 5x before I finally got some. The dessert deep fried egg yolk ball took more than 25 mins.
The food was overall good but the Peking Duck was not crispy and the flavour was just bland.
Excellent service
Excellent food and service. Unfortunately their reservation system is chaotic and disorganized resulting in average 45 min wait even with reservations. For example, every time I walk in and say that I have a reservation they put me down in the waiting list without checking my rsvp details.
very nicely decorated i luv the red and gold theme. food was overall good especially the durian pastries and custard buns
Rubbish waiter, no service
Fine in and try not to take out. Most dishes we order wont taste good if we do take out. Great old fashioned HK style dishes in a modern style restaurant. - food is great but relatively expensive. - The atmosphere is great but the designer did not plan in Eastern and Western well. Lol - service by traditional Hong Kong / Chinese staff. Nice and polite at least. - food is great with tons of details in preparation and cooking method. You cant find this anymore in most restaurants. An important note: they offered us the red bean soup at the end for free. It was special. They used small red beans and the cooking time was right. Sweetness is just right as well Chilled pork ribs, casserole with dried shrimps and stir-fried kale and kale are delicious (dine-in is OK, not takeout). Braised pork with pickles and vegetables. The meat is not greasy. The red bean paste is just right, fine beans, enough paste without thickening, sweet and delicious!
Six of us enjoyed Peking duck, a variety of dim sum, noodles and chinese veggies. Busy place with lots of local families, young, older folks coming for lunch considering it was early in the week. Attentive staff were on hand - quick and efficient.
Lovely place for dinner. Excellent food. Attentive waiters.
tasty
Tried out 5 dim sum dishes this afternoon with the boyfriend just as a crowd of people were leaving. Best dim sum ambiance I ve had in years! Customer service was great, makes me want to learn Mandarin so I can communicate with the waiters better
Best place to have dim sums
The food was great as usual, tea was also good, one thing I wanted to mention is theres no price on any menu, and I guess we have to find out when we check out?
This dim sum place had been on my Saved List for quite some time, finally got the chance to try it out. Very nicely done dim sum. This is a place that I would visit again with friends and families.
The good: This was one of my favourite place for dim sum. They seem to make things in house as every dish have a unique touch. The bad: It is more expensive than other dim sum. The ugly: Scam alert! Check your bill carefully! Every single time Ive been since the pandemic, there is *always* extra charges on the bill! 3 out of 3 times. There bill us for a dish we didnt order, our double bill us on an item we did order. One time, its a mistake. Two time may be a coincidence. Three times, its a pattern. If you do decide to go, take a picture of your order sheet and compare it carefully with your final bill. They no longer return order sheet with the bill. It seemed weird since prepandemic they used to give back the order sheet with the bill. Now we know that they are trying to scam you every single time.
I recommend the brown rice cake (name forgotten) in the photo
Decent dim sum joint but prices are really high. I will say that the environment and renovations are really regal and elegant, so that might be why theyre charging a cut above the rest of the dim sum restaurants in the GTA. I also enjoy the fact that youre able to make a reservation, when usually dim sum restaurants dont allow reservations at such a busy time OR they have trouble actually seating you at your reservation time (cough cough Skyview). Regardless of the price, there are some hits and misses with the food. I would recommend the curry squid and beef short rib in maggi sauce. Other staples like shumai and shrimp dumplings I had no complaints or compliments about. I dont think their congee was flavorful at all, so Id steer clear of that. Overall Id still recommend this place if youre trying to impress guests with the grandeur of the restaurant. It really is beautiful and the food is decent. But I probably wont be coming here for weekly dim sum due to the price.
So far its the best dim sum Ive found in GTA. Definitely should have a higher rating than the 3.9 stars it currently has. Reasonable prices, solid, authentic dim sum flavors, and good portion sizes. Theres usually a wait to get a seat but it moves quickly and they have tons of tables and seats inside. Service is decently fast as well, but you may need to flag someone down from time to time to get a tea or water refill or to hand them your order sheet. We forgot to give them our order sheet on our first time there and were sitting waiting for a good 30 minutes until we realized. They hadnt come to check on us in that time. Once we realized and gave them the sheet though, food was coming out pretty fast.
What kind of rubbish service attitude? After making a reservation, I asked in English if there was anyone who spoke Mandarin, and the other person said No! I called him, what kind of state banquet did we book? ! ! ! ! !
Awesome food definitely be back for takeout .service was subpar cheers
Update 2023: The blonde hair receptionist supposed to call number when table is ready. Asked about the number and stood just in front of her. She said she called the number but nobody answered. NOBODY could hear what she said, wearing mask is totally fine but she s like whispering to herself when call the number . Will definitely not come back for this type of services! My favourite place for dim sum just because of the food. Service is bad and those old ladies are all very rude. If you speak Cantonese they will treat you better. Racist!
Nice ambiance. Food is yummy and good service. Went there on a weekday and not too busy. Food : 5/5
One of the best Dim Sum in Toronto. Great athmosphere. Fast friendly service. The food was to die for. Will I go back? Of course I will. Ignore the cranky people. Just go and enjoy this amazing place. I was happy I made resarvations. Place was so packed Sat lunch time. I added their secret prices for the menue in one of the photos. The only dish we did not think was superb was the turnup cake. It was only ok. Had better. Second visit was even better. Incredible fast service . Well done. Food was spectacular.
One of the best dim sum spots in Toronto! It was love at first bite a year ago their iconic shrimp dumplings and cha siu bao will win over any foodie. Were regulars every other month now. Lately, Im hooked on their barbecued octopus and fish congee, but feel free to explore. Their seating arrangements handle all group sizes. Plus, they accept CREDIT CARDS! A rare find in Chinese restaurants, trust me!
Consistent - great Dim Sum spot!
Just double check your bill before paying. Honest mistakes can happen.
Normally a fantastic restaurant but DO NOT GO AROUND 330pm. The staff take their meal break all at once! Food that is usually great, was awful. Service was none existent. . Too it off with credit card payment automatically adding 12! They shunned my offer to pay by cash too. Not anymore.
The server sat us close to the kitchen even though there were so many tables empty in the middle, they kept on making noise with keeping the cutleries which was very annoying. After the bill was paid in cash I left a 10% tip and the server was like pay more, tip is my choice and I feel they cant just ask for more money for this kind of bad service. Never going back!
All colors and flavors
Food has been decent here but the service is lacking. The last two times we came here, we made reservations but we still had to wait 20-30 minutes to be seated (and also had to ask the service staff multiple times because they would always forget about us amongst a hoard of people waiting). Today when we went they forgot 2 items and the service was extremely slow. We had to drive our 1 yr old baby back after 1.5 hours because there was no more food coming. We won t be returning.
The food was average and very pricey. Service is great with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Will I go back? Most likely not. Food
I think Ill be 100 by the time they serve it
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Crown Prince Fine Dining and Banquet with my family and in-laws from Vancouver. As someone who enjoys dim sum, Ive noticed that prices at most dim sum places have significantly increased. However, Crown Prince surprised me in the best way possible. The standout feature of our experience was undoubtedly the dim sum. The har gow and siu mai, in particular, were not only generously portioned but also bursting with flavor. The har gows delicate shrimp filling and the perfectly seasoned siu mai left a lasting impression on our taste buds. Its worth noting that the portion sizes were quite substantial compared to other places, making the dining experience even more satisfying. Crown Prince Fine Dining and Banquet provided an ambiance that was both elegant and inviting. The attentive staff and comfortable seating arrangements added to the overall positive atmosphere. While the price for dim sum might be higher than what weve encountered at other venues, the quality and taste made it well worth the cost. If youre a dim sum enthusiast looking for an exquisite dining experience that doesnt compromise on taste or portion sizes, Crown Prince Fine Dining and Banquet is certainly a destination to consider. The delightful combination of delectable dim sum and a pleasant dining environment made our visit a memorable one, leaving us eager to return for more culinary delights.
Terrible experience. Food was kinda ok but there was no service at all yet at the end the server was force asking tips saying that it had to be 10% which was completely disgusting cus there was no service. I was really disgusted... There was no service at all. When I paid the final bill, I had to leave a 10% tip. See for yourself. Is there any law? Is it mandatory? Its not your shame. Is the tip given to you for free? See It depends on whether you have good service. If you have good service, I will tip you 20% in a restaurant. I will happily give it to you. If you ask for a tip confidently even if you don t have good service, you won t even look in the mirror. I hope it closes down soon.
Disgusting service quality
Went for dim sum, place looks very traditional , has not been updated for a while. The service is slow but place is busy and the food is so-so. Not much dim sum selection.
Dim Sum is very delicious
The dim sum is delicious
As a Cantonese, I think dim sum is very authentic, especially the steamer dim sum, which stands out from other teahouses in Toronto.
I go there three times a week, it tastes great
The service attitude is very good, I will definitely come again!
This morning tea is really delicious. I went there with my friends. The price is very good and the service is great! ! Highly recommended! ! !
The taste is particularly good. I particularly like the siomai and shrimp dumplings, which are especially large and taste great. The pumpkin and polenta porridge is recommended! ! ! It really smells great and the service is great. The return rate is 100%.
There is almost no service. If there is service, the service attitude is so bad that one star is considered too much.
An upscale Chinese cuisine restaurant & banquet facility, nice vibe and decor for a relaxing dining experience, extensive menu of all Cantonese favourites with fancy fixings, nice elegant presentations, attentive and helpful staff.
I called to place an order for take out, nothing too complicated and no questions asked. Lady on the phone was extremely rude, noting, she was telling staff in Chinese that she was dealing with a complicated order , and can t you see I m working . When asked about method of payment, she indicated that anything over $100 would require a credit card she proceeded to escalate her voice. Beware if you place an order over the phone, staff is rude and has attitude.
Good dim sum
Rude manager/supervisor who ruined our experience. When we were paying the bill she was rude in demanding us to specify the tip percentage before handing me the card machine. A completely unwarranted behavior that ruined our experience. Not coming back again.
I don t know why so many reviews complain about services. I went there for dinner so I can t speak about dim sum services during the day. But they did well providing services. I went there when there was a wedding, and they were super busy but still had enough people serving us. They also helped wrap up our leftovers. Food is great and delicious, and definitely upscale Cantonese restaurant quality.
Great dim sum
Taste good
Its really noisy most of the time, like being in a wet market. The food is delicious and the service is really hard to describe. No one responds to anyones call, as if I owe him millions.
I tried this place for the first time and have been quite impressed. I usually go to Skyview and I was a bit hesitant to come here when it was recommended. Overall, the food quality is quite good and comparable. The staff are nice and attentive. I would definitely come here again when I am in town.
Prepare for a long wait even though you have made a reservation and showed up on time during the weekend ( especially if you dont know the lady at the door). She only gives table to the people who she knows or tips her (I saw this happening while I was waiting). It took us an hour finally being seated. Initially, I wanted to give them a two star rating becuz the wait was ridiculous even though we made our reservation. But the food saved it from happening. The food was good, flavourful..didnt taste too bland. Im glad they let us enjoy the food and didnt rush us out. Its also very difficult to get a parking spot too..
Delicious dim sum. Wow. The service is quite rushed, and you very pushed out. However would 100% come back based on quality, quantity, and price.
google maps said it closes at 10pm but when we arrived at 9pm the restaurant is already closed and the door was completely shut with no one inside.
The interior renovation is good. Everything is over priced than most other places. Renovation is the only good part in here. Food is very disgusting, durian dim sum mixed with a lot of other stuff very fake. Most stuffing inside of different dim sums made me vomit mixed with other things. The service is very bad, most customer services are very rude when you haven t finished yet they took everything away. There are no many people eating there today Saturday. Anyway for me no going back forever
Extremely rude service. 1. asked for hot sauce 4 times nicely, did not come till we basically finished our meal. 2. We had to cancel one of our dishes since it did not come at all till we were paying for our bill. I wanted to check the bill if it was correct. The lady stood there rushing me look look is cancelled disrespectfully shaking the paper in my face blocking me from looking at the bill. 2. They missed one of our dishes and did not come till the end when we were paying. But gave attitudes when we wanted to just check our bill before paying.
Horrible customer service.
Stupid place. I keep getting cut in line. The front desk keeps bringing regular customers in. I will never come here again. The food is just so-so. If it wasnt close to home, I wouldnt come here. I still have to wait in line for half a year. I wish you will close down soon.
Came here for weekend brunch. Tried a few dim sum items. The Steamed Bun with Custard & Egg Yolk was still my go-to choice here. Not only did the egg yolk add a pinch of saltiness to the custard, enriching the flavour, but the filling was abundant. It was so satisfying just looking at the filling pop right out of the bun when splitting it. Har Gow (Steamed Shrimp Dumplings) and Siu Mai (Seafood & Pork Dumplings) were great too. There was a generous amount of meat in each of the items. The steamed BBQ Pork Rice Roll had a lot of pork inside, wrapped with a thin and soft rice sheet. The sauce was the cherry on the cake. Steamed Chicken Feet were good too; the chicken feet were jellied and tasted sweet. It would be even nicer if they were less greasy. We also tried the Char Siu (BBQ Pork) plate. The pork was well-roasted, paired with sweet beans on the side. I highly recommend ordering this separate dish. The place was spacious, well-suited for wedding receptions. The interior was adorned with royal-style decor, delicate dishware indicating a Hong Kong-British style. Service was a bit better than other Cantonese restaurants. One thing a bit disappointing was that they never got back to me about my lost cap - I left it on the seat but they claimed they never found it. Food (quality, creativity, consistency) - 4/5 Drinks (quality, variety) - 3/5 Ambience (interior design, cleanliness) - 3.5/5 Service (courtesy, knowledge, timeliness) - 2.5/5 Value (quality vs. price) - 4/5 ($30-40 per person)
This is one of my favourite dim sum restaurants, so I brought my friends that were visiting the city from oversea. Unfortunately the experience was pretty unpleasant as a dead mice was found right under our table. Pretty upset and embarrassing as my friends had to see that, especially when is a place you go to eat
Nice seating ambient. Dim sum is pretty good, but very expensive. Tea is also very nice. Playing on the speakers is by Teresa Teng, on infinite loop back. Now, this is a very nice song tune, but if its constantly playing, it gets very annoying. 4 stars because of the constant piano tune, otherwise it would be 5 stars.
Too bad to eat
Very nice dim sum restaurant. Food was hot and served quickly.
No early bird special for dimsum and waiters are dismissive and impatient. Will not be returning due to my experience here.
Food was generally good. Ha gow and fun gao were a bit thick on the outside, but the filling was good. The BBQ pork pastry & Fung jiaow were great.
If you come here during weekend please prepare to wait at the door. If you come with a group of two, the waiting time might be less. The food here is much larger than other dim sum places. The taste is good but not exceptional. There is not much service other than serve the food to your table. It s difficult to find a person who can stop and listen to what you need. They are all seem very busy. Also they all speak Cantonese not Mandarin. The entire restaurant is relatively noisy with people talking and baby crying. But I guess it s not the owner s responsibility. However I had to raise my voice to talk to my friends sitting on the same small table. Kid-friendliness: Many kids come here. They can cry and yell as hard as they want.
Waited for 20min for a dish and it turned out sold out. Server gave attitude when she brought the bill and we wanted to cancel that sold out item. Very unpleasant customer service.
Desserts and side dishes are still bad food.
Food is not bad but the service is terrible! The short-haired waitress (or super) is very rude. Very disappointed.
We were in big number, more than 20, so we were able to try almost everything there. It s really hard to say which one was my favorite. I don remember any name . All I can say is that some items on the menu do not have that rich taste. If you are not familiar with Chinese food like me, make sure you get some help from the staff there. BTW, don forget to try their desserts, I do recommend them.
Great and old-school restaurant! There are many local residents coming while opening the place. Payment in cash has 80% discount for morning orders. Food : 5/5
We had a very special dinner exclusively for our guests. Its up in the attic. We shared our business using their projector. It was ok. But the audio didnt work and the decorations looked worn out.
I just made an appointment and the first thing I said when I answered the phone was: Whats going on? I didnt want to go with that attitude, and then she hung up the phone without listening to what you said, and I played it back again, or what? Didn t I tell you that we had an appointment? The attitude is so impatient! Oh my God! No one cares? Do you like to eat or not? OMG! Is this the boss lady? Business is so good that you don t need customers? But I pay for my meals! You don t lack us, we also have other choices! Its really disgusting!
Fried oysters Hong Kong style
Great place for dim sum. I came here with a friend for lunch and the food is great!
Waited forever, food was ok, but during payment, we were a little bit short on cash for tips. Enough for the meal (which was pretty expensive already), and the tip was just a bit lower than usual, server was extremely rude and upset over the tip that we ended up paying an extra $10 with debit just because of the tip. Never coming back again.
Beautiful dim sum and banquet space. Service staff was quick and friendly. Food was decent, nothing spectacular but definitely comfort dim sum. Will return !
Nice place for Dim Sum, havent tried dinner yet.
Its a little noisy, but the food is delicious.
Enjoyed the dimsum at this plate. We ordered quite a bit. I would suggest to make reservations on the weekend cus it can get busy.
Overall, a good experience at this dim sum restaurant. The good food offset the not so good food. There were just two of us, so we will need to try more next time: Best were: Squid Har gow Siu Mai Needs improvement: Deep fried sticky rice - interesting idea but not to my taste - intestine shacha sauce - needs more flavour - black bean - tofu wrapped vegetables - needs more flavour
Very tasty dim sum. Very clean fine dining place. Food
I feel like their quality is not as good as before. Decent but there are better options for the price. I was disappointed with the lobster dish. Bit salty and over cooked. Peking duck was decent.
The dishes served are pre-made dishes Not recommended Very poor service attitude Not recommended. Things are very expensive Not recommended. Summary: run quickly
