Specialized in Silog(All day Filipino Breakfast), Beef Pares, Mami Noodle Soup and Sizzling Plates.
Ordered lomi but they used udon noodles. doesn't taste good. not even taste like filipino food. expensive as well.
The food portions here are just right for the price, making it great value for what you pay. The staff are incredibly welcoming and always greet you with a smile, which adds to the overall positive experience. The restaurant’s style and ambiance really evoke the feeling of being back home in the Philippines. It’s a cozy and familiar place that’s perfect for anyone craving a taste of home.🥰
First time here and we weren't disappointed. Fantastic food and great owners. Portions are huge and every dish was delicious.
Absolutely fantastic experience! Visited with my family and couldn’t have been happier. The beef tapa with homemade gravy sauce paired with java rice was an absolute delight—a perfect blend of flavors that left us craving for more. The variety on the menu is impressive, but the sizzling tapa stole the show for us, especially my dad! We’re making this our Saturday tradition—it’s just that good! Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere
This place satisfied my cravings for authentic Filipino food. I will be definitely coming back for more!
I really enjoyed how nice and crispy the pork was. I didn't really enjoy the soup too much but the meat was fine. The gravy and the rice in the sizzling plate is great! Overall a pretty nice option for takeout.
Food was delicious and piping hot. Made fresh to order for dinner. The lechon fried rice portion was generous and the chicken lugaw was perfect. I would imagine this menu to pair excellently with bar options. Looking forward to returning :)
My husband and I had lunch here! The crispy pork rice is my favourite. My husband enjoyed the beef mami (noodles). The quality of the noodles is unexpectedly good, the beef broth is a little greasy thou. The dessert Ube Halo Halo is amazing, full of toppings and flavour!
Ive always liked Bangku congee, but the recently ordered congee came with overcooked liempo (hard and dry) and overfried eggplant torta. So sad
Food.was good and the price was worth it.
Amazing family restaurant, great food and lovely place to have a nice meal. Portions are huge without sacrificing any flavor and the tables are kept clean at all times.
A must place to dine
The best filipino food in town
Staffs were very friendly. And the porridge is so flavourful: a must try if you were here for first time.
Being Filipino, Im usually hesitant when visiting Filipino restaurants just because I can usually eat it at home for cheaper but this place is a must try! Its reasonably priced for todays standards and the food that they serve is really delicious! The staff are also so friendly. I recommend their sizzling plates
Mango drinks were yummy
Great place with amazing food ! Our go to spot for a delicious and flavourful beef tapsilog for years !
Got the Bangku Fried Rice. Awesome
Place is very cold (low heater or no heater at all) sizzling was served with no side dish even if it is clearly stated in the menu.
Good food, great ambience, and feels like home.
Food looks like the picture and taste like heaven. The service is also good
Food s amazing! The staff were nice and accommodating. Will definitely come back again. Must try their Tapa Sizzler. Parking: Only street parking available
The food is great! I got to try almost everything. I can t think of one thing that I do not like. It is all great food. Love it! I will be back.
Has a family feeling coupled with fresh food and attentive service Kid-friendliness: Host is friendly and attentive Food : 5/5 |
First time here!Very good food Very nice atmosphere. Would come back again! Food : 5/5
When Im missing my grandmas chicken lugaw I come here. Friendly service and even better food.
July 8, 2023 they are closed for renovation. I hope your google hours are at least updated. We still travel for 1 hr.
The foods absolutely good!I will definitely coming back here.
I was craving for authentic Filipino food and so I found Bangku! The best Pinoy food you can ever find here in Toronto!
Wonderful food, I have tried most of the dishes now and they are all so flavourful and always served piping hot! The staff are amazing and super kind!!
Chicken mami soup was tasty and a generous portion was given. Would definitely recommend this place if you re in the area looking for a quick bite.
For those who want African foods, this is the place to visit.
Exceptional service and food. Eat like at home.
Very kind, great service, and great food. My kids loved it too!
I liked that friendly attitude of the owner that as he sees me, a greetings from a typical fellow kababayan (countryman) just liked back home. As with the food, its truly what you missed back home.
Best lechon kawali and garlic rice!
Just needs a touch of Canadian souls... revamped
The rice with pork and chicharrón is quite delicious, the place is nice and the Filipino chef is very funny every time I go he says things in Spanish and greets you saying Hello compadre!
They re delicious no need to think twice
Nice place and food its sumptuous dining and friendly. Enjoyed the food and service. Great place to be dining and with friends.
I ate here a few days ago and it was great. Its a small place but has great food and the owners (one was a chef at another restaurant we visited) were very friendly. We bought a variety of dishes and all were great my favorite was the Shanghai. Fresh and was cooked perfectly. When we visit the area again we will stop by and grab some more food.
Real Filipino food experience. Sisig rice sells out real fast
My go-to comfort Filipino food. Love the lugaw and lechon fried rice!
Delicious and authentic Filipino food. Friendly and welcoming!
The food is affordable and tastes good! The owner is also very friendly chatting with us, it s a family business, this place is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood
Great Variety of Authentic Amazing Yummy Food and Atmosphere with Smiling Friendly Service.
The owner and cook have the best Filipino cuisine food I have eaten in years highly recommended
Delicious foods and beautiful music playing.
My friend loved having her lunch here.
Delicious food , affordable price and great service. Please come and visit you gonna love this place.
The best of comfort food! The taro leaf stew was such a pleasant surprise. Cant wait to visit again post-pandemic because it seems like such a friendly, cozy spot.
great
No problem about the service and food. Though, the menu posters are posted covering almost the entire walls. The list of menu they have can be written in a 2x4 poster but they decided to put it in a regular sheet of paper and stick it all over. It s a fire hazard.
So good! Reasonable prices too
So cheap (ingredients) but food is prepared and serve nicely..so you pay more for presentAtion
Customer service is terrible. It seems like the girl on the cash register does not want to be there . This place was the last resort for my cravings since the restaurants I usually go to is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays .. bad customer service is the last thing a customer wants from a restaurant . I would not recommend it and definitely I won t be coming back
Good food if you know what to choose but they tend to overcook food or not properly prepare the meat as they don t remove the fat
Good Filipino foods
Great place to eat my favorite pinoy foods..try crispy pata with fried rice and surely youll feel home.
Cant get enough of this place the flavours are so satisfying! Fried rice is superb and the dumplings are yummy!
Really nice staff. I recommend ordering the pork lumpia shanghai!
Pretty decent spot. Dishes has those unique tastes which you would be looking for every now and then.
Great little Filipino place. The service is great, the staff is super friendly. Get the fried pork belly!! Highly highly highly recommend!!!!
Love this place!
Small portions, the ration of rice to meat is laughable. The silog is about 90% rice and 10% meat. The only good thing is they know how to make their eggs. Other than that, lechon kawali is dry and they skimped out on the good portion of the pork belly.
Om nom nom nom. Rice and meats. Lets eat!
Forever love this place! Always a go to for palabok or lechon kawali silog
Delicious and super friendly staff! I definitely will come back. The food is fresh and the atmosphere is so welcoming, like a true Filipino home!
A must try! I really liked the decor and vibe of this place, food is on point with savory flavors and the right amount of spices. Delicious and affordable, I will definately be back.
The authentic Kapampangan dishes!
One of the best tapa in town! Just thinking of it now makes me drool. Yes, its that good.
Awesomeness!
I wanted to try something new and I noticed this highly rated Filipino food takeout/restaurant not far from my neighbourhood. Its a cozy spot with a few low benches and tables for eating in. There are photos of all the menu items on the front of the counter and walls, giving the Tagalog and English names of each dish. The person behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. The price was good. I tried the beef pares silog and the sweet pork silog with rice (which comes with two eggs on top and small side of something similar to coldslaw with a vinegar taste) both dishes were tasty. The beef was delicious. The eggs and rice were good, they have that slightly more authentic flavour than plain eggs and rice youd make yourself (maybe its fish oil?). I want to go back and try new dishes! There was a short line on a weekday evening. The wait is 10 minutes or so for the food. I later learned from my coworkers the next day that the silog was something normally only ordered as a breakfast food. But I thought it was good for dinner anyway!
Pros: Instagram worthy. Affordable (21 dollars for two people). The place looks like a Filipino Carinderia Cons: debit and cash only.
I love bangku Loved their food and prices are affordable. We also went here everytime we would be attending mass in bathurst.
We have never ordered Filipino Fusion so we decided to stop by Bangku on the way home and try it, the atmosphere was electric inside and made me feel like I was outside at a street market, I loved the way they had it setup inside ... the food was fantastic and I enjoyed trying both the pork and the beef meals that we got, would recommend and go there again for sure !!!
I popped in while waiting for my brother just to get a Leche Flan for $2.50 and I wasn t disappointed.
Delicious. I put salt on the egg.
Presentation of food is good, but the taste, not much. I can cook better..
It was surprisingly good! We didnt see this place on google when we were researching for restaurants to eat at. But when we were walking around, we saw it and just really satisfied our cravings. We got the tapsilog and porkchop silog and it was great!
Great small place with great food. Excellent customer service. Would greatly recommend.
This is the place to be if your looking for a generous serving of Filipino food! The silogs are the go-to choices for any mealtime, the pancit luglug has selection of toppings served in a small-sized pan but it can be good for 2 people. The prices are affordable :)
I order takeout all the tine all the silogs are great. My fave are tapa and corn beef!
Great food, very friendly, the best sisig in town.
I loveveating their fried rice full in a cutie pan
Good Filipino food
Friendly people who give good advice on dishes. The food has good flavours too.
Warning! Cockroach crawling everywhere! Non-combatants evacuate immediately
Great Filipino food and great service.
The place got a nice vibe. They have alot of must have food to try. Check out their Menu. But the downsized for this store was the waiting time for the food to be ready. I have arrived at 1:18pm, my order was taken after 2mins. While I was ordering i ask how long until my food is ready, and she says saglit lang My food was ready at 2:05pm. I dont think Ill be back here. I hope this place improve.
The best food to tastes. thank you Chef Rosslax. All staff are nice and friendly.Mabuhay !!!
The food are good... feels like home...
One of the best Filipino breakfast place! The pinapaitan is the best in the city! Get the $12 large bowl with rice! Its worth it!
Food is tasteless wont go back.
First time here. Ive never seen so many kinds of Silogs! Great portions for the price. Definitely hit different cravings all at once. As the famous quote goes, Ill be back!
Great tasting filipino food. Pinoy na Pinoy...
good good at a fair price. lots of selection
food is really good! specially the halo-halo! not the typical halo-halo that s why its soo good!!
Authentic Filipino (Pampangueño) cuisine made to order. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. Cozy environment. Wish it were just a little bigger but no complaints. Wide variety of dishes to cook and serve. Great pricing too especially in an expensive area, this place is a must for simple dine in or take out.
First time here worst experience ever! Staff are not accomodating. Im asking for a ketchup co z they don t have on there display tray and there this guy who is arrogant. BIG NO for me!
food is alright ... be prepared to pay for water when eating here I payed over $10 just to drink water...unbeliveable never went to a restuarant and got charged for water...
The go to place after drinking and weed.
Very good food and its worse it the money.
Best bang for your buck. Great food for the price.
Good food hot and freshly serve
should have more variety...
Ill be honest, Ive been dating a Filipina for about 8 months and I had never had Filipino food before meeting her. Nothing about it appeals to me - I dont eat pork, I cant stand fat/gristle, Im not really too into rice or rice noodles...so the prognosis wasnt good. Ive been to Maxs and found it extremely disappointing and overpriced. All that to say, my hopes werent too high leading into lunch today. To my surprise, it was good! Im a very picky eater and I tried two dishes and liked them both. The family running the business were very genuinely warm and sweet people, the way Ive always been told Filipinos are back in the motherland. I wish them success - I think this could actually catch on with non-Filipinos as well.
For sure, the best Filipino food in Toronto!!! Really good!! Amazing and friendly environment!!!
Worst, waited an hour and 5 mins for just kawali silog! They keep on telling that they were busy and sorry for the wait, I understand how stressful it is on the kitchen but business has to do adjustment not the customer. place is overrated.
Long wait during peak weekend hours. But the place is absolutely outstanding. THE best Asian Fusion/Filipino food weve ever tasted. No wonder its booming. Not too greasy. Very clean kitchen. Ingredients first quality. Cant go wrong with any dish.
Great little place to eat. Meals are basic but taste good. Very reasonable prices.
Really delicious food. Worth to come back several times to try out more dishes.
Not so healthy menu.
