Please just go to other Filipino restaurants. The quality of food here is subpar.

I bought 10pcs of bbq, I felt upset while eating dinner when we figured out that 3 out of 10 are leftovers ( hard, taste different and overcooked) beware!

And I thought I was the only one who thought this place has gone downhill. The other reviews are 100% correct. The bbq is barely edible. It looked like it was reheated from a week ago. Dry, overcooked/burnt and tasteless! This was not how it used to be as Wilsons has been a favorite of my family. Bbq was juicy, sweet and flavorful. Has there been a change in the chefc management or pork supplier?!! I have no idea but total waste of money (and gas!) ugh wish we had gone to some other place. This is definitely not the Wilson Haus of Lechon that we used to love! Please bring back the old marinade/ sauce! Youre bound to lose customers!!!

What we like here: - Lechon paksiw: Mainly composed of meat, only minimal amount of pork fat or skin. The sauce is not filled with so much fat. - Pork bbq: Good portions and mainly meat. Less pork fat. - Grilled quarter chicken: They remind us of Mang Inasal.

Every time i buy here a letson for take out, i am not satisfy its a waste of money she wrap a pound a crap of meat even i told her give me a belly or ribs. the cashier should double check the order all the time when trust are broken you guys are losing a customer. The owner should look at it seriously this matters we dont buy a food if we dont like it.

I ordered online and waited for 45min -1hour just for them to cancle my order. Shouldnt have accepted the order if theyre just gon cancle it after making me wait. TOTALLY BAD SERVICE.

I order grill pork belly very dry and i try to call the store to tell about the pork belly i order but unfortunately no one answers. The price so expensive but you will not receive quality of food.

It s not our first to dine in here. Foods are just good especially the lechon. But today is different, we had dinner for two and ordered a pound of lechon, ginataang langka and garlic rice. I was starving so I usually just munch anything to feed my stomach. I was not happy with the fried rice it was so soft and very oily . Well, I keep trying and ate like 2 spoonful but decided to ask if they have regular rice. The lady offered me steamed rice, wow finally, I thought I m gonna enjoy my dinner now! Plus I add-on some chicken wings. But to my surprise white rice wasn t done yet! They served rice without checking it? May butil pa po. Yes, I am not joking. I informed the lady and she said sorry about it, confirming na she unplugged it early, but I think kulang talaga sa tubig. But wait not only that, the chicken wings tasted old and super hard. I did not complain anymore about the chicken wings knowing I already has couple of complains, and I even felt bad about it. Of course we keep the food (throwing rice is bad, my belief), I will gonna do a recycle-cooking tomorrow just not to waste foods. Dated Sept.1, 2024

Do not support this business at all! Very unprofessional. Had ordered a lechon for them for a special party and when they didn t receive my e transfer for the deposit they never even called me back to confirm the order. I never got a text or a call. They put the onus on me to confirm and to follow up successful businesses do not work like that. You should be responsible with follow ups, not me. Don t support these unprofessional people.

Food was bad. BBQ was burned, rice was overcooked, and lechon was very dry. Not worth it. Also, the lumpia was bad too. It was a bad experience, we should ve gone to Kabalen.

Menu shows $18 for lechon combo. But they actually charged me $20. Scammers!

The staff was not accomodating, the fact that we are fellow Filipinos, they were racist the moment we were sat down we just helped ourselves with the utensils, napkins and even water, a group of foreign nationals came in they were well served. The food was overall blunt plus the serving was not same as shown in the picture, like their tapsilog it was served w/ 1 slice of tomato and 2 slice of cucumber. I would not recomend this place.

Was great first time going the garlic flavored rice was good with the BBQ chicken with BBQ sauce was good ibwould go back.

I came here because the store I wanted to go to is still close . I am really hungry, and this store looks like they are serving the same food, so I went here. But when I look at the foods they serve, they dont have a real plate. The plate they are using is a paper plate and then paper on the top(why is it like that?are they gonna use it again?). I ordered the one with fried rice (its so sticky, and it looks like they put too much water when cooking it), longganisa (the looks of longganisa it is looks like this is hard, old, and when I tried it OMG H_ _ L Im right, the taste is bad too, looks like they using the old pork from outside for the longest time and then cook it. The vegetables are fine, the fried egg is okay, oh and also the water bottle is fine too. I paid for 2 meals and it already cost me almost $50 . Usually, after eating in the restaurant, I am still ordering food to go. But NOT in this store. I did not let them know that is because I have to go already.

We go on random food adventures and wanted to try Filipino lechon and thought to try this location since the reviews suggests it to be a hotspot. We were disappointed with the quality and taste of the meat. It wasnt the best. It was an unanimous vote that we wouldnt visit it unfortunately. Parking is very limited in the front, although there is some parking behind the building. It was quite pricey for what it was.

Food is good. However, price wise it way too pricey. I really don t think prices should be way up that high. It s almost price gouging. I wouldn t pay that much just for a lechon. I am certain they are aware of it. They just take advantage cause they know people still pay for what they ask. Just take a look on the photo below. Do you think this is priced accordingly?

food is good but the old lady is so mean! while waiting for the order I ask the cashier I need to use the washroom and she said go straight then turn right and because it s my first time here I went to the wrong way and the old lady said eengot engot , so I went back to ask her why she need to said that but she told me hindi ikaw un si joana ang engot but still she doesn t need to say that! she s not good! bad influence!

Excellent quality! My colleague and I ordered a few dishes. It was amazing. The owner is a wonderful human being. The prices are extremely fair for the quality of food. Keep up the great work!!!! Best Lechon in all of Canada!

These guys really put up a sign that says they dont cut or chop up rotisserie chicken anymore.. the only BBQ/rotisserie place I know that doesnt want to do it for there customers LOL lame for that Im never coming back

Ordered uber eats. Missing my drink combo and no utensils when i clearly indicated that.

Went here last night around 630pm. Unfortunately, it was not the same from previous visits. The lechon skin is very rubbery and not edible and the meat was hard. The pork Bbq taste good and the kilawin is just ok. The display of pansit and pinakbet looks like it s been there for ages-it is scary looking. If you are looking to try filipino food, skip this restaurant there are much more better ones.

Lived in Ottawa and it s my second time eating there and for sure the last time. We noticed that part of the chicken is not properly cooked as seen in the picture with still blood in it. I asked my wife to ask the server to get a new piece and what they do it s to heat it up in the microwave. What a business!!

If you are craving for real and fresh lechon, this is not the place. I ordered through uber and I received low quality foo. Tasted like it was from yesterday.

All I wanted was a box of crispy skin of lechon baboy and its juicy meat. When we arrived, I saw some lechon in the warmer, but the crispy skin was out of sight. Luckily, the senior citizen lady asked her co-worker to get the new one from the oven. I was thrilled. She then tried to sell me more than a pound. I politely declined because my partner is vegetarian, and I am the only one who will consume it. Even a pound is a lot for me. She then proceeded to add leftover bones from the customer ahead of me who didnt want it (not part of my order, by the way). She just decided to put them at the top of my order and made the box unable to close properly. I was a little offended because why would she give me those bones? But I just let her. I went to the cash and paid. I even tipped. We finished the transaction, said our thank yous, and left. When I sat down, opened up everything, and was about to eat, I realized that the lechon was hard. Even my dog cant chew it. The skin was not crispy either. It didnt taste like lechon at all! The experience was such a disappointment. She must have put the old meat (the exposed leftover meat in the warmer) and top it off with the new one. Which I could say, only about 15 - 20 percent. The rest of it was old. It was appalling. I couldnt believe it. How could she? Whos gonna eat this now? I really dont want to complain, but the service was very unacceptable. If she can do that sneaky thing to me, how much more to those who are timid? Its not okay. To the management, please refresh your food handling training with your staff because I didnt see her changing her gloves while serving, chopping the lechon, and touching something else. A 100% cross-contamination scene. I understand that the business thrives in upselling. However, it is not fair to serve products that didnt meet the companys standards for your paying customers. It will definitely affect the brand.

I ordered 2 lbs lechon via uber @8:28 pm, I made a mistake in ordering 2 liempo s but corrected it by calling the store & hey gladly helped me. I was just surprised when I got home the order was bulky with 3 rib bones literally bones and meat cuts were all uneven parang pinagtabasan. The taste was good but with this experience I don t think I ll order again from here. I don t know if it s because I ordered late. I went the following day to order at B s lechon, The difference is beyond Wilson s in presentation - equally cut choice meat & taste. I like it more at B s so I bought my lechon & gave some to my friends as gifts.

Lechon was very supple and juicy

In my experience, before They serve good dishes. But I bought. Some lessons. Couple of days no. Fresh. They said. They say its fresh. But. Its like chicken. That and there is still a smell, Fishy!

Went and disappointed with the amount of food that was served. Very little and not good tasting. The lechon was dry and the lechon paksiw was salty. Dine in area is not welcoming. 2 stars because the pork liempo was good.

The food was delicious. The staff were so friendly. It felt like we had been regulars even though it was our first time.

I had some sausage skewers, a barbecued chicken leg some stewed vegetables and some soup. The quality has really gone down recently. Down enough that I got food poisoning from the food. And that s despite having a strong stomach (I m from SEA). Will not be back to any of their locations. I recommend you stay away and look elsewhere if you want to enjoy yourself while you eat AND after.

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately, I must share some disappointing feedback regarding my dining experience. As someone who follows dietary restrictions that prohibit the consumption of pork, I was disappointed to find that the chicken dish I ordered contained mixed pieces of pork and chicken. As you can imagine, this was not only disappointing but also potentially harmful to my health. I was under the impression that this restaurant would take the necessary precautions to ensure that the food served would meet dietary restrictions. Not recommended .

Over price and tateless food!

I order the halo halo and pork BBQ skewers at doordash. While the food and drink was good, I was disappointed when I got the skewer, considering when ordering, they show 3 skewers, and even the name has skewers and not skewer. Knew the price was too good to be true if it was for 3. While saying this, this isnt to bash the restaurant but I hope they fix this minor issue.

I ordered for takeout a Liempo Combo comes with drink in can - $17.49 and Pancit - $8.99. I think the food is overpriced on a small portion servings based on take out (see photos), it s only in a small container. The Pancit is not even tasty. The only thing that taste good is the small portion of Grilled Liempo.

Terrible customer service! On Tuesday July 9, The Filipina working the food should not be working there. I can tell she is a consistent problem when it comes to customer service. We ordered 1lb of their lechon (pork) and this worker gave at least 0.5 of only bones. She then doesn t cut the lechon and shoved it all in a small container. My mom asked her to put it in a larger container and the lady starts arguing with my mom. I then asked her and the lady said she doesn t have any bigger containers. 2 minutes later she finds a bigger container to put it in. We then dined in and the lechon was completely cold. This was a terrible experience. She just has so much attitude. If she doesn t like her job then quit but she shouldn t be working in a customer service environment. I can tell her coworker was starting to get uncomfortable with how much attitude she was giving my mom and I. That Filipina lady is disgraceful. I do not plan to give this place anymore business.

They gave me one tiny vinegar sauce for 6 pieces of BBQ that costs 5bucks each 10/10 don t recommend

It was my first time trying this restaurant and I felt in love The best chicharrones in town and I love love their Turon, I didnt know what it was, I watched a video on Instagram and I asked what that was, to my surprise they answered and explained what it was, next thing I was at their restaurant buying them

food could still be improved

We had high hopes but the food was just average, it felt more like a fast food place for a quick meal. The lechon was chewy (skin was hard and soggy), the lumpia was also hard and chewy, and the pancit noodles lacked flavor. There was one exception, the chicken skewers were excellent! The whole meal felt very expensive for what we got.

We had barbecue chicken, it was vey dry and look like cooked long time, ordered Halo-Halo which a famous filipino fruits drink with crashed ice, they didn t have straw!?

I was not satisfied and I was sad. I thought it would be nice to prepare lechon for my guests.

The food was great, but the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. I went there on Saturday and the customer service seemed very upset and was taking it out on the customers. The only reason I would go back is because of the good food. Keep up the good work when it comes to food, but please improve your customer service.

I have only been here twice in the span of 5 years I think. There are just a lot of good options for Filipino cuisine in the area. I would say the second time round was better than the first. I celebrated one of my birthdays here as one of my friends helped install hardware here. I remember the other being so pleasant and really went above and beyond to serve us well. The roasted chicken and lechon are so good here. You can sometimes see them roasting outside and just smell all that wonderful-ness. I havent done a boodle fight like that in a while, reminder to go back. The second time, I picked up a boodle fight to go and I am not sure if they changed their recipe but the chicken was juicier this time around and flavorful. I accidentally ordered the wrong item so I missed out on baboy lechon but the chiccharon included was great. Wilsons haus is a great spot for Filipino smack dab in Little Manila. Flavours are spot on, everything cooked to perfection, nothing was burnt, and though the parking lot is a bit horrendous, still a great spot.

I just bought 1 lb of lechon for take out this weekend during taste of Manila event. Very disappointed that they dont give in house/home made lechon sauce or even Mang Tomas sauce. It wasnt tasty as it taste dry and chewy and without sauce, its not worth the value of money..Pork BBQ is okay but expensive, Republika offers better price and tastier. Not coming back again. I thought it was good based on friends recommendation..

Experimental Visit for too good to go , they had stated wrong time to pick up on the app and the lady asked me to wait for an hour til 8pm for a small portion of food (not even one full meal) which labeled as big surprise box . (I know It s a weekend time but please correct the time on the app) As a result, I had ordered 45 dollars extra at this restaurant after I received my package because it was tiny paper bag. One thing I have to mention that They don t treat people who are using this app customers as their customer . This is a pretty sad experience I had.

I love how when it comes to Filipino customers, the female staff are very nonchalant but as soon as white people come in, they re EXTRAAA friendly. It s unbelievable that they provide those outside of their race better customer service. It should always be equal. On top of that, the food wasn t hot or even warm at least. It was on the cooler side. You would think that if you come early, everything would be good to go but it was not. P.S. This did not happen today. We ordered pork and chicken bbq. Our was over cooked and dry. All I tasted was the bbq sauce. Didnt finish them. The other food was dry and boring flavour. We will not order here again

Shout out to wilson haus of lechon. Thank you very much for your panis mongo.. I hope you at least taste it before you serve it if its ok! Dont you just sell it.. dont you know that the one who will eat it is still pregnant. Then your lechon is ready made.. I mean its already put in the container.. I was expecting the one on display to be given to you but I wont say anything because you might just make excuses. Your lechon is still dry as if it was from the morning. FYI I bought at 7pm. Sorry but your service is terrible. Dont let it happen to others. Yes, the midday meals are delicious because they are still freshly cooked, but I hope you at least maintain the quality of your food.. you dont know who can eat or eat the panis dish you sell.

We ordered three items. Lechon combo Cebu chorizo combo Ginataang langka We are not happy with everything. I feel like the food that they served are leftovers from the previous day. The lechon skin was not edible and too hard i feel my jaw will have a proper workout if I tried eating it. The chorizo was tough and dry, just like the villains in movies. The lumpia was so bad it could have mugged me. Sorry but this was a waste of money and time.

Halo Halo was great as usual ! Sisig was good too . The pork belly was cold and little too greasy for my liking . But it was great the last few times . The jackfruits always been consistently good . Rice was old, not fresh food okay

went for some meat yesterday, very disappointed. the price is high, the food is dry, the portion is small. ordered lechon and was recommended pork bell combo. the lechon is mediocre and expensive. the combo contains dry pork belly probably from yesterday, the spring rolls, i cant even begin to describe it. total disaster. no more Filipino food for me.

We stopover for a dinner this last Wednesday expecting the lechon is still crispy and juicy but no more and the lechon manok is salty.

I asked my husband to buy their grilled liempo, guess what, its obviously leftover from the previous day. Never again.

Food wasnt worth it. Their sisig is more of an adobo. They didnt even bother to chop it into small pieces.. While their Liempo was tough. Overall, youll be better off trying other Filipino restaurants around the area.

I really wanted to like this place. My dads name was Wilson, and he loved lechon. came to TO for a little vacation and sought this place out. Got the lechon rice place. Its a little expensive for what you get. Like you can go to a chinese BBQ place and get a whole pound of roast pork for $11. You got a handful with some rice for $17 here. Skin wasnt crispy, despite the pig being brand new from the back. Watched them walk it in. People are really nice, though. The guy outside at the grill was really friendly.

As for the taste, I feel like Ive gone to Cebu for the taste

My first time trying here. Staff are very friendly. They even gave me more portion of the combo we ordered. I have not tried the lumpia because they ran out of stock but ate was kind enough to give me pancit which is also good. Reasonably priced. Try the combo 5 and add a Bbq stick to share. I will definitely come back to try more of their dishes.

Overhyped and the quality of the food here is not great. Very over priced (compare to other filipino restaurants) and the food was oily and DRY! Not worth the hype. Staff is very unwelcoming as well.

The pork bbq sticks were dry, the lechon is salty. The grilled bangus is dry and overcooked. The store needs to declutter, there were stuff all over the place. The dining area is not clean.

The best filipino barbeque, inasal and lechon so far I had in Ontario, meat was tender perfectly cooked, flavor was great and theres a lot of other filipino dishes lutong bahayoption to choose from. Will definitely comeback. Highly recommended!

Oh my god! The best BBQ you would ever have. Note, they make their BBQ in morning and evening. I went their around 4:30pm and they were still roasting fresh ribs! Try to grab when it s fresh. Or take home and pop it in the oven for a few minutes!

I heard about this place through a coworker of mine who had brought it in for lunch. I tried a sample of his food And it was so juicy moist and delicious I had to have some. My partner and I made the long trek down cause we live on the other side of the city. But worth the drive for good food. Ordered 8 pork skewers. Got home opened the bag and what an utter disappointment. Every single stick was hard and dry. Will absolutely not be returning. You guys should take pride in what youre serving your customers and if it doesnt meet the standard of quality throw it away. Making afew quick bucks off terrible food isnt the way to treat customers.

One of the best place to eat Filipino food in Toronto. Even though we moved outside GTA, we still visit this place to buy for take out esp. their delish lechon. Staff are great too. Will definitely recommend.

Severely lacking in quality lumpy rice, dry, salty meat served on disposable styrofoam plates. The combos are around $20 each; not worth our hard-earned money. The interior of the restaurant was cluttered with big boxes and the washroom was unkept. One star may actually be too much :(

First time coming to this place yesterday and we ordered lechon kawali with rice. Wasnt impress with the lechon, it wasnt crispy but chewy and it tasted like adobo flavor mixed with churizo. Also, the dining area was so messy, boxes every where and some equipments. Definitely I will never recommend this place to anyone. Lastly, the food its not worth what I paid for.

I ordered lechon for take out but when I got home Im very disappointed because they gave me left over,shame on you guys.

We are from Belgium and this is the closest lechon we can find. Our aunt and uncle (who are actually close friends with the owner) recommended this place and were so excited to finally taste lechon after 4 yrs. But upon arrival to the place, the crew are so rude. We ordered barbeque, fish sinugba and of course lechon. After ordering, the staff attending us even reviewed our orders and it was complete. But turns out the lechon was not included. We followed up for the lechon order and this attending staff asked (very rudely) if she can check the receipt, as if we were just making it up or we couldnt afford to pay! This is my first time being treated this way, especially coming from a fellow Filipino. It was very unprofessional. The quality of the establishment is always reflected on the treatment of the staff, regardless if the food is good or not!

I was so excited to take my fiance here to try some filipino food. I dont know what the good reviews are for. Too expensive for bad food. The chicken bbq is dry and the rice is gummy. I had lechon and the skin was not crispy at all. Very disappointed .

I understand that prices went up due to the pandemic and changing of times but in this place not only 1 or 3 people that I knew told me that they too themselves did not prefer to eat nor buy food here because Food in this place is really VERY EXPENSIVE. And still staff will answer rudely after being asked of the prices. Even the cashier, answered its ok its just a once a year event, meaning because of the filipino festival, you took advantage of everyone including regular customers who bought food on those 2 days event? Sad, everyone is also working hard to eat but do not take so much advantage!

Chicken (right) and pork (left) BBQ skewers. I really have only had Filipino BBQ from my Tita, or friends. Passed this placevwithva friend so I decided to try. I will chalk it up as a bad night. The pork skewer was extremely dry and tough. The chicken was kind of sour tasting, Ill assume there is lemon juice or zest in the marinade or BBQ sauce, but it was a bit heavy handed. Overall disappointing skewers compared to the ones I get at friends bbqs.

We wanted to try the lechon here so bad. We travelled far only to be disappointed on how their bbq were cold, the meat was hard, and it had no taste- we needed to find a sauce to dip it in. The lady servers were nice and kind. Although, the food really wasn t good at all. We enjoyed the ceviche or kinilaw, so with the pinakbet, although the vegetables were already too cooked because of being in the food warmer for a long time. The bbq has been sitting inside the food warmers for hours and I think it s best to come at lunch time when they are all made fresh. I will try again this place next time around lunch time when I come back. The combo meal we had came with 2 spring rolls that was not crispy, cold and salty. Very disappointed on this visit. I hope they can come up with a better solution on how to keep their food fresh. (Maybe making a few batches at a time ?)

I took the ladies out for lunch and dessert and quite enjoyed the chicken BBQ. Well cooked, flavourful sauce, and the rice was cooked perfectly. It was a nice lunch on the patio that had the sights, sounds, and flavours that brought back memories of the Philippines. Thank you for the nostalgia.

Tasty filipino food

Very very good skewered pork and chicken. The lechon is really flavorful. I love how transparent they are cutting up meat in front of you. They only weight the meat not the bones! Not like most Chinese BBQ they weight the bones with it. Definitely would go back Very friendly Filipino staff.

Great food especially the leche flan and pork barbecue. We had lunch together with my team and it felt like we were having a vacation in the Philippines again.

Roasted pig was okay. Probably a little salty but it was manageable. Desserts were creamy (Flan) milky. The people behind the counter were super nice and friendly.

The most legit lechon (ala lechon de Cebu) that I ve tasted so far here in Canada. Homesick no more! I hope you open a branch in Vancouver, BC too. Salamat kaayo!

Im from Cebu and I can say that Wilsons lechon taste is legit from Cebu. One downside is that the lechon skin is not crispy every time we visit. I like the pinakbet and chorizo too.

Good foods; the staffs are very accommodating; reasonable price. You really have to try their lechon, liempo, roast chicken and longganisa from Cebu- you will ask for more rice.

Went to order lechon and first of all their overpriced $18/lb and second they gave me skin that wasnt even cooked or crunchy. It was like skin that was boiled in water very disgusting..my guest wasnt amazed and only had bad reviews to say....such a ripoff never going back there again and wont recommend. Theres other lechon places in gta

Everything was bad. The pork bbq was dry. The sisig doesnt taste good. It is all fats and no onions. It is like marinated in adobo sauce and it has ginger. The turon is also bad. The filling in the turon is not banana. I dont know what they put in there. The lumpia is dry inside and the meat is still a little pink. The turon and lumpia that came in a delivery didnt have a container. They just put it in a paper bag (not sealed) which is not hygienic especially during this time.

Very disappointed! Used to love this place. I always buy lechon when I come to Canada for business. Yesterday I specifically requested ribs and the lady even told me since you are the first customer she will give me what I requested. But when I arrived home in the US my wife could not find 1 or 2 rib part. When Kuya was the one handling the lechon before he usually give me the part I requested. I even personally come to see you guys and buy even if I have a long drive home and wait for your opening. I do understand I cant have all ribs because that is unfair to other customers I do expect a few ribs for my wife to enjoy. When I found out what you gave was not specifically the one I requested. My heart broke! I feel I was duped. If you dont value me as a customer then why would I come to your place and buy. You just lost a customer.
