I loved their Hot & sour soup 💯 Complete review on instagram : @iarzoosyed The food there is delicious, and the halal options are fantastic for those looking for Chinese cuisine prepared according to halal standards. It's definitely worth a try if you're in the area!
If you’re looking for an experience outside of the Hakka realm but still halal and caters to your taste buds, then look no further than the Chinese Halal Restaurant. The food here is delicious and service is absolutely stunning. The servers are extremely fast, listen to your every need and will bring the food out in record time, all while tasting hot, fresh and tasty. They have different size tables to serve either 1, 2, 5 or 10 people. My wife and I were hesitant about this spot as we’re so accustomed to Hakka food, but this is a different experience on its own and just as good if not better! You must try the steamed lamb dumplings, the lamb skewer, the hand pulled and spicy fried noodles as well as their fried rice. This is the ONLY spot where I was able to heat up the rice the following day without it being solid as a rock. They do add a 18% gratuity to your bill regardless of your party count, so do account for that as you do not need to tip. Honestly, they deserve the 18% because of how fast, attentive and great their customer service was. Overall, our experience was amazing and we’ll definitely be returning with a larger party. 10/10 would recommend! OH, don’t forget to buy their chilli oil if you are doing take out! The food taste so much better with it!
The food is okay, under my expectations. The lamb kebab is not fresh enough, and the rice crispy with tomato sauce is too sweet for me and my kids all. The cold dish beef is good, but very small portions. Overall the food quality is on average.
i always go here and love their food and customer service! so kind !! this time took my family, and they LOVED every single dish! highly recommend ❤️ loved their black pepper beef sizzling, kungpo shrimp and especially the lamb skewers are always my go to order!
Update: we both felt sick after dining here. Definitely not coming back ———————————— The food was mediocre. Lamb didn’t taste fresh but defrosted. Feels super thirsty afterwards so maybe a lot of MSG added. Price was ok but for this price the quality of food could be better. Service fee was added for us even when we were only 2 people. Wechat payment not accepted, and there was an additional charge using credit card. Will not be coming back
I've been a long time customer at this place. I realized the service has been going down. Food is still good but the way they serve dishes doesn't make sense. Who serves rices and noodles right at the end? What do you expect us to eat our gravy, chicken, beef, shrimp dishes with? Service wise - no one ever comes to check in on whether you are OK or need something else.
Great restaurant for lamb! Came on a weekday for dinner and it wasn’t busy at all. Service was fairly quick as well. Prices overall are not bad, and many dishes are great for sharing! They have a really large variety of lamb dishes (and non-lamb dishes) and they’re all pretty tasty! The gamey taste is not very strong, the spices are also not too spicy as well—great for those who don’t want an overwhelmingly strong lamb and cumin taste. This is definitely not the best lamb or BBQ place I’ve tried, but it’s got something for everyone. The soup I was very surprised at, it was a smaller size that we ordered for 2, but it felt like it could be for 4. The soup is not overly fatty, so it doesn’t congeal as it cools down—however it’s still best to eat while hot!
They serve authentic Chinese food, therefore i felt their target audience is not population trying Chinese food for fun. If you already have in your mind what exactly you would want to eat then that would be better. Even then the servers were kind enough to help us select from the menu. Great atmosphere and awesome service. Very much recommend.
This place is AWESOME, in short the employees are kind, humble and respectful of all customers, I would recommend the spicy noodles and the sweet and sour chicken they make an amazing combination. I will definitely be back again soon 10/10.
Dietary restrictions: Halal Food
Quiet place thats family-friendly (we went there with our 1 yr old). Their portions are generous and service is fast and courteous. We love going there..
The food was super good and service was quick - there were only a handful of us in the restaurant. However, the bill came to $43/person for 2 people with one app and 2 entrees PLUS a mandatory service charge. If we re paying this much, you could at least have been given rice. Overall, solid place but I won t be returning cos it was pricier than expected.
Perhaps one of my favorite places to eat in the whole city. Every one of my associates enjoys going here for dinner. Fantastic, flavorful food and reasonable pricing. Ginger beef tablets, dumplings and soup are really good.
5 stars hands down! the chicken fried rice, the mixed veges, the garlic beef cubes and lamb skewers are to DIE FOR!!!! AMAZING!!!! I would eat here every week 100% if i was closer. And it s halal yay!!!
Good restaurant with Halal food. I had their BBQ lamb, lamb skewers, lamb buns and lamb noodles. They were all good and the food was served piping hot. I wish the lamb skewers had a bit more BBQ flavor (the server assured me that the Lamb BBQ skewers are BBQ on coal fire, but honestly I am not too sure, because the wooden sticks that the skewers came in were not even burnt at all). The owner mingles with customers, he is super friendly.
I had deep fried dumplings, pan cake beef, noodles, bbq chicken. I would highly recommend dumplings and bbq. Please note that they prefer cash as you will pay tax on credit card, they pretty much charge 13% service fee as well on top of that they also charge you visa fee which is another 3%. They won t accept amex as payment of method even though you re forced to pay transaction fee. If you have cash, this place is recommended
Excellent place with lots of variety. Everything was delicious and the prices were reasonable as well.
I always make the travel from Richmond Hill to eat here. The beef and lamb here for practically every dish is extremely tender. Among all the places I ve been, they make it the best. I ve had the kabobs, dumplings, stir fry, soup etc. and they don t disappoint.
The food tastes good but the survice is just passable and 12% tip is pre-set in the bill. Unbelievable.
Amazing halal food. Love the skewers
Our family go to Chinese restaurant in GTA. It s a family run authentic north china cuisine. The portion sizes are great with great service. Highly recommend it. Dietary restrictions: Halal food
Dietary restrictions: Hand-slaughtered halal according to staff. Always confirm yourself! Food
Been going here for 10+ years and have always enjoyed it, but I wasnt happy with my last visit. They recently started charging for tea and the lamb skewers were very fatty with decent chunks of tendons. Since covid they also started automatically adding a 12% tip to your bill. Unfortunately seems like most places that slowly go downhill over time.
Superb food, generous portions. Well be back for more and to edit with pics. Parking: Parking can get tough especially when the other stores in the mall have rush at mealtime, but theres free parking all around the restaurant in the mall Food : 5/5 |
Had a slightly Indian taste to the dumplings. The fried calamari was really good.
Amazing place Get the black pepper honey garlic chicken Food
So usually come here, food is good but the service was pretty bad today. We ordered skewers but they ended up serving 5 other people skewers and forgot about us not to mention the fact they tried to charge us for them. Then the cook had a fit and slammed his spoon. I wanted to get the inside deets from one of the servers but they said no no no. Having second thoughts about coming again.
Food and service were good so far!
Great halal Chinese spot with many lamb menu options too!
1st time going there, enjoyed the food, was steaming hot, it felt like freshly made, price is reasonable
Huge menu, careful with what you wish for
Ordinary hala food. Many lambs dishes.
Its my favourite halal restaurant to go, food is amazing customer service is top tier
Great food
Grateful to have halal Chinese restaurant everything authentic family owned restaurant .
I found the food pretty bland, I got the hand made lamb noodles and soup dumplings. They were pretty much cold by the time they arrived. Service was poor due to there being insufficient servers.
Very good food, the menu is really long which is good and bad. Was hard to figure out what was their specialty items. That being said my favorite items were from the BBQ, specifically the lamb skewers.
Food was normal but seating was poor. Not very clean and dishes were broken.
The food is exceptional, however, the rice we ordered came in last which was supposed to be eaten together with the other food. But other than that, definitely recommend
Halal Lamb dumplings are the best in the city.
The best halal Chinese restaurant
The food is very average/greasy, and there is basically no service. You have to write the order yourself. Tell him thank you/trouble and he will not respond to you. After eating, he will collect the plate as soon as possible and give you the bill to drive you away, and force you to charge 12 %tip Wont go there again
Have been coming here for the past 9 years. Same great taste every single time! One of the best places for Halal Chinese food in Toronto
Delicious food, good variety, large portions, lots of free bonus items like soups and spring rolls. But the service is very slow, takes a lot to get a waiters attention
Amazing food especially the skewers and dumplings. Vegetarian options: Not recommended for vegetarians really Parking: Protect your car...
It s a great halal Chinese Place if you re in north York. Their dumplings are amazing and authentic and I love their corn soup! I d definitely recommend if you re in the area and craving dumplings. Food
The restaurant is a unique experience in Chinese food. Their lamb specialty is very delicious. The food taste and quality is amazing with cumin spices adding a special taste. The lamp chops as entrance was a great choice and hot and sour soup was very good. All orders of big size so always consider sharing. One soup order was good to serve 4 persons. The option to have private dining rooms is also a very good idea that can serve big numbers of people who seek privacy. It is highly recommended
new stuff is disappointing
workers cannot read latin alphabet they misread my order code and forced me to pay for it without doing any discounts never coking back again this joke
Always good food which kids approve too. Love their skewers and hand pulled noodles
last times I went there the new stuff messed us our order 2 times, they charged at the end
dissatisfied
messing up orders, we wait so long, we didn t have time to ask for them to cook the orginal order. they charged the really bad dish we did not want it
Violent diarrhea for all 3 families!!! My friends and I, 3 families with children, recently ate at this restaurant. The food was great. However, all 3 families had violent diarrhea a few hours later lasting 2-3 days. I called the restaurant a few times to let them know. The lady who picked up said the owner was not there and would call me back. Its been more than 3 months and they still havent called.
We drive all the way from the west end of the city just to eat here! Never been disappointed. Excellent food! Muslim Chinese owners so the food is authentic. Fatima is a sweetheart and we often ask her for new dishes to try apart from our usual order. Worth driving all the way across town just to eat here! They also have a party room for about 25 people and a small banquet room in the basement.
It was very yummy. Vegetarian options: Dunno Dietary restrictions: Dunno Kid-friendliness: Its good Wheelchair accessibility: Its ok
We went for dinner yesterday and the experience about food quality, service and price was a definite disappointment. First, there is no tea served. You have to pay $2 to buy it. Then it s a long waiting to get your food served. We had to waited at least 30 minutes still didn t get our food. We had to ask a server to check it out. We ordered two sets lamb skewers, two sets lamb pie. ( and three lamb noodles. In between each food, we had to waited for a long time to get the next one. Even between each bow of noodle, we had to wait nearly 15min to get next one. Second, the quality of food: lamb skewers are fatty, less tasty, and too old chew. My first bite of the skewer was a full piece of fat. The second bite was half fat. The lamb in noodles are also too fatty. Some pieces of meats were head to tell if it s meat, fat, or tendon. Lastly, they added 15% service charge automatically to your bill before your consent. We were about to pay tips although I would not pay the highest amount as I usually do. But I was surprised to find out they already charged tips in the total of the amount. Considering all above experience, I would not recommend this restaurant. And I m not coming back unless there is improvement. 15%
We ordered Sweet and sour chicken with pineapple and there was no chicken inside it. It is heavily battered with no chicken at all. I also ordered the chicken fried rice and chicken noodle but there was barely any chicken in that. Overall the quantity was also less. I had ordered all the items for an event at home and was extremely disappointed with the food.
Underrated and amazing. Go eat there
We always have a fantastic experience here! The food quality has been consistent over the years and portions sizes are always good. Food is absolutely delicious. We love the hot and sour soup, chicken noodles and the general tso s chicken the most. Menu has lots of options and everything always tastes so yummy!
Good, good, delicious
Very poor service, they didn t even realized we walked in until a customer called out. Food portions are very small, pricey. Wont come again
My family and I have been going here for years, the food is always excellent! Service tends to be slow but friendly and polite. We especially love the lamb skewers. You have to order rice separately, it doesnt come with main dishes. They have some dishes that are an acquired taste, Id recommend asking questions before ordering anything if youre unsure. Theres a nice place to pray downstairs. Kid-friendliness: They have highchairs and the staff seem to really love kids
Amazing authentic Chinese!!! Worth your taste buds and WORTH every penny.
Service was horrible, took ages to flag down a server to ask for something. We ordered the soup it and it tasted burnt and was unpleasant. The food overall was not good. The restaurant was empty during dinner time so that should have been our first sign. I wouldn t recommend to be honest. The mandatory service charge was shocking as there was no signs on the walls or on the menus. This is not okay, customers should be aware of this before they sit down at your restaurant.
Good food!
Best chinese food restaurant in town. If you have not tried it, you must. It is my families go to chinese restaurant. My extended family who visit occasionally from overseas love it too and I have to take them at this restaurant every time they visit me.
Went there two days ago. Love their lamb soup.
Excellent HALAL food, awesome service and a very nice ambience Family friendly and delicious Chinese food I would highly recommend it Drove all the way from Niagara falls and will definitely come again
I really enjoyed this place until yesterday. The service was very poor. Except for lamb dumplings, everything else I ordered werent tasty at all. And some prices are not consistent with the menu and at the checkout counter. This was one of our favorite place to go. Unfortunately yesterday will be last. Disappointed.
This is my favorite place in the GTA, love the food and the people! The best place to enjoy chinese and halal in the same sentence and on the same plate. I tried a variety of things, my favorite is the steamed dumplings, the noodles (with any toppings), and the chicken and beef varieties. Portions are big and filling and I always go home with delicious leftovers. I also take a sneak peak at the nearby sun chinese market next to it after were done, awesome collection of fruits.
Lamb leg, mutton in glutinous rice dumplings, mutton soaked in glutinous rice noodles, stir-fried mutton with green onion, mutton box are all great. Only disappointment was haggis soup, it had 3 small pieces of liver(?) and the rest is clear soup. Where are all the rest organs?
Place and food were great. Unfortunately they have no guidelines how to handle a party of more than 5 people with individual orders. They ve dishes with order nos but no idea who ordered what or which dish no. they are bringing to the tables.
The store enforced a mandatory tip, and I couldnt choose the tip percentage. When I requested to select my own tip amount, the staff said they wouldnt provide a receipt because the system couldnt be changed. This is simply ridiculous. Mandatory tipping is illegal. They claimed there was a notice at the entrance about mandatory tips, but I specifically checked, and there was none. I am extremely dissatisfied with their coercive behavior towards customers. I refused to pay the tip, which led to an argument, and the staff even insulted customers. This issue arises because customers have been too accommodating. Such bad practices should not be tolerated! We had already argued, but I still paid the full meal cost and HST. In the video, you can see the money in her hand, along with some other coins on the table. In this situation, she refused to provide a receipt for the $202 I paid. She explicitly said that without a tip, a receipt wouldnt be issued. This is absolutely outrageous. In Canada, any card machine can be set to issue a receipt for the correct amount. Additionally, mandatory tipping is not allowed; neither the law nor social customs permit it. Customers always have the right to choose the tip percentage. Since I paid, I must have a receipt, so I took the previous receipt, which included the mandatory tip. However, my taking the receipt caused her to shout to those present that I hadnt paid enough, misleading the facts. I asked for the correct receipt, but she refused. Moreover, she insulted me, even mentioning the child who was with me. This led to the argument between my family and her, as shown in the video. Additionally, I must point out that the kind of cash receipt they issue is essentially a bill, not a receipt, and it is likely not suitable for tax purposes.
OMG.This place offers a remarkable service where restaurant managers and customers engage in intense arguments, all for a mandatory tip. Its truly eye-opening. The tables, chairs, and benches are all greasy, just like the food here. The restroom is dim and scary too. I wouldnt recommend coming here; there are plenty of other choices available. A terrifying dinner experience.
I love the food here and have been coming for years now. Nice big menu, and you write down your order so great for us introverts :) Dietary restrictions: Everything is halal :)
Good service
This restaurant is amazing. They don t have a liquor license and they use the excuse that they are Muslims. All the meat skewers are said to be charcoal grilled, but they are all fried. They forcefully add tips when paying the bill. The waiter doesn t know anything about it. Toronto restaurants are popping up one after another. , how did their family open until now.
The spices for chicken skewers and another chicken dish were repetitive, a bit bitter. The cumin taste was nice, but after all that cumin, I dont want to have halal food anymore..the lamb skewers were mid. This is an overdue review from CNY.
They have a variety of Chinese cuisine , and delicious. Staffs are helpful. Love the restaurant atmosphere, spacious. I just love steamed dumplings and fried fish
It was unique at first glance. But the food is alright. Nothing special.
Everything thing is sweet
For me, customer service is everything. The food was okay, but the thing that makes me never comming back is the fact that they force a 12% service charge upon you, without telling you. Its not on the menu, nor the walls, nor informed by any staff theres is a mandatory service charge for a party of two. Nowhere does it say service charge implemented on bill. Once again food was decent, service was dog poop. Never comming back again, shame too since its hard to find good chinese halal food.
The service is terrible, there is no service at all, and the guests are forced to leave a 12% tip. Speechless
No good.
We chose this place because we had been there before (about a year ago) and also because it is a truly halaal restaurant. But this time the food was sub par. Very disappointed.
Large portion size. Great food.
Had a great experience with mouth watering Halal Chinese food, food was delicious and i would highly recommend the place
Always delicious (just don t expect amazing experience haha)
Amazing halal Chinese food. Xing Jiang style. Loved most everything there, especially the meat skewers. Vegetarian options: Tons of veg options Dietary restrictions: Halal
Love the variety. One will always find something they like
Their fried beef noodles, and pan fried lamb dumplings are my favourite. Overall the food here is tasty and consistent, plates are large shareable portions and very reasonably priced. 10% gratuity is automatically added to the bill, but the servers let you know it s added. Great value for price/quantity/quality. I recommend: -Pan fried lamb dumplings -beef fried noodle -beef with green onion -beef on hot plate -fried chicken wings (regular)
Absolutely terrible place. I would never recommend coming here. They gave us a hard time when we didnt like one of their plates and forced us to tip them. The server Julie li and manager both continuously gave us bad attitude Would never go here again. They also force you to tip 12% no matter how many come (was only 2 of us)
Worst experience, the staff has 0 customer service skills. We ordered spicy beef and it wasn t like how it looked in the pictures at all, when we asked if we could replace it they straight up said no. On top of all this, they force a tip out of you of 12% even though it was just 2 people. Would never come back, and would definitely not recommend it to anyone.
And it has a prayer area downstairs!!
Awesome food !!
Variety of delicious foods from lamb to seafood and vegetables. Tea is included in each food. Free parking
Used to be good but now it sucks. The prices increased, portions decreased, quality decreased, and service also decreased. They also force you to tip no matter and will charge you extra for using a credit card
Tasty and fresh
Excellent hala cuisine! Much better than I thought.
This is the one of the most delicious halal Chinese restaurants I have been in Toronto. Tried their beef sizzling, house special fried rice, pan fried beef dumplings and sweet & sour prawn soup. Food portion was good for 3/4 people
Great place and great prices
Amazing halal food and great service!
Excellent food, quick service
Authentic tasting Chinese food and all Halal certified. Best place for must visiting. Reasonable prices with generous servings. Ample free parking.
Amazing food
Loved the atmosphere and the people of this restaurant. Met with owner. A very humble person. Enough place to pray at downstairs. Didnt like that much. But really loved their shrimp and chicken. Juices are not original fresh juice. But overall it was good. Will visit again to try the other items. Happy to find a halal chinese restaurant.
Absolutely horrible behaviour. They told us that we can enter before 9.30 pm. We drove 40 mins to reach here and then the owner shouted at us for being 1 mins late. He said the last call was 9.15 pm (despite confirming on the phone multiple times that the last time was 9.30 pm). We literally arrived at 9.16 pm. They should learn how to deal with customers politely. Even if they can t serve, they should learn courtesy and deal with some courtesy
The food is ok, but customer service is not very friendly
We didnt order the food we get, no one seems to care, poor service. After many attempts they finally agreed that made a mistake..
Foods are the best. But employees are nit friendly. Feels like they are always pissed off. Other than that everything is best including ambience
Most delicious food and excellent service.
Nice place for Halal Chinese foods
Very bad services, rude and indifference to customers; extremly long waiting time, both for dine-in and pick up. No credit card payment or they charged you extra. Food was not clean and fresh enough, my entire family got diarrhea after eating there. Do NOT go!
The food quality was really good. Nice atmosphere. One of the best places to try Chinese food. The dumplings was really good. Food
Food is not bad, lots of options. A bit salty. Convenient location, lots of parking. Large restaurant and large tables available for big families.
Great food. Best authentic Chinese food. Reasonably priced too.
Excellent authentic chinese halal food Vegetarian options: Have some good tofu dishes as well! Food : 5/5 |
Enjoy this food. Authentic chinese and it tastes good. Different from regular Hakka. Just a challenge sometimes to order due to language barrier. There is a nice space for salah!
Soup was superb
Food here is a 10/10. Usually menus this large are not that good, but everything Ive tried is a hit: pot stickers, steamed dumplings, soups, the beef skewers are one of the best things Ive ever eaten. And the absolute best part is that its all halal!
I used to go to this restaurant frequently prior to the pandemic, since this is was a great place for some authentic Northern Chinese Halal food, but then moved out of the city for a few years, and haven t been to the restaurant again until recently. I was looking for a light dinner, and ordered a couple of cold appetizers and BBQ dishes. Unfortunately, I felt the quality of the food had gone down a bit, and had mixed feelings on the dishes ordered. - Garlic Cucumber this was surprisingly bland except for a slight garlic taste. Adding some chili oil helped make this more flavourful. - Lotus Root with Chili Sauce a well flavoured dish, with a tiny kick from the chilies. - BBQ Beef Skewers these were undercooked, and lacked any seasoning - BBQ Potato strangely my favourite dish this visit. It was well flavored, and had a light crisp on some of the edges - Fried Cumin Lamb the portion was a bit smaller compared to the other times I ve visited in the past, and thee meat was a bit dry The restaurant itself has a bright airy feel, with plenty of seating, and can accommodate large groups. The staff is friendly, and the service is overall average. Because the restaurant is part of a plaza (back side), there s plenty of free outdoor parking. Note: they charge you about 2% if you pay by credit card.
Food was very good but service could be improved
Great quality food and exceptional service the desserts are crazy good
It s not that common to find halal Chinese restaurants in GTA. It s very satisfying and even though I have visited this place frequently, I still plan on coming by every time I am in the area. Do note that this isn t Hakka or Uyghur cuisine.
Place smells like piss, except in the toilet.
Not for indian & pakistani eater....more of Chinese not hakka Chinese .....zero star for service..zero star for food .
This is our most favorite Chinese Restaurant in GTA. Their General Tsao Chicken is YUM. There hasnt been any item on their menu yet which we dont like.
One of our favourite restaurants.Food and service is fantastic,Atmosphere is also great
Loved the service at this place. The food was also great. Enjoyed my visit!
Very very good food, very generous portions, very clean restaurant, warm welcome, I highly recommend it. Im from Montreal, I come back with my family every time we go to Toronto. Thank you very much and good luck. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes available Dietary restrictions: Halal meat and chicken
Very good food and friendly staff. Wait, times are not too long. I recommend the steamed lamb buns!
Such tasty food, been going there for at least 10 years and the food flavors are consistent
The atmosphere is very pleasant with smiling staff and very delicious food no doubt . I have visited so many Chinese restaurants in the GTA but this is the best restaurant I liked and I would definitely go again and again and above all they have an exclusive place for praying which no other halal restaurants have. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone without hesitation.
17.4% HIDDEN FEES! They charge you 15% service fees that is NOT DISCLOSED even in the in-store menu and another 2.4% charges if you pay by credit cards. Portion size was fine, HOWEVER, the beef (meat) quality was below average. Safe to say that I wont be visiting there soon.
We dined here some years ago. Glad they are still around, and busy. Menu extensive with lots of lamb, beef, fish, shrimp, noodle dishes. We ordered pan fried pancakes with beef, lamb & beef tongue skewers, snow pea sprouts with garlic, house made noodle soup with beef, BBQ lamb shank and Fish Filet cooked in hot chili liquid. Except for the very bland house made noodle soup with beef (noodles too soft / broth had no taste), food was good, price reasonable, quick and friendly service.
I ordered take out and they charged me 50 cents more than the after tax price. Its not tip so I dont know why they did that. The food is pretty good though and the portion is good. Food
A must-pay 12% tips should be doomed
I have visited twice in last few weeks with my family . Enjoyed the food with average service no complain. Only complain I have why I was charged 2.4% extra on my bill because I have paid by credit card. I am well aware how much all the credit card merchant supplier charge to the restaurant which is less than 1%. Felt I was penalized for paying by credit card . I would suggest you rather add 25 cents extra to your menu item rather asking your customer how you are going to pay and then decide how much extra you can add to the bill . Management should look in to this and give a 2nd thought . I would have given more stars but at the end I was pissed because of credit card surcharge . Parking: Enough parking
Beef dishes are excellent. Decent portion size as well. Has prayer rooms in the basement.
I enjoyed the dining experience at this restaurant. The Hot & Sour soup was delicious , and the noodles were tasty. Fried rice was alright. 12% service charge is included in the bill.
Food here was in large portions and super value
Delicious food love the egg fried rice
The best choice
House Fried Rice is tasty. Their beef on sizzling plate is good as well. Way better than the Congee Wong in the plaza which has gone downhill in terms of food quality.
If you re looking for a phenomenal dining experience, look no further than Chinese Halal Restaurant. Their menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering an incredible selection of dishes that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive, making every visit a true pleasure. I ve dined at Chinese Halal Restaurant several times and have never been disappointed it s truly a must-visit destination for any food lover. The place has the huge indoor seating arrangements and the seating arrangement is super comfortable and spacious. The staff is really nice, friendly and kept following . Pricing is decent, good value for money and the place is more suitable for a group of people. Parking: Ample parking available Kid-friendliness: Kids friendly place Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility available for fellow individuals
The restaurant is very neat and clean . One of best Chinese halal restaurants in North York. Every food is delicious. We went there with our kids ,They enjoy the dumplings and soup. Staff are very friendly .
Great food and even better staff. Best Shrimp I ever had.
Excellent taste and quality. The portions are generous but full of aroma and flavour. This has become our go to place.
This is possibly my favourite Chinese restaurant and I dont eat strictly Halal. The general tso was so crispy and sauced perfectly, the shrimp fried noodles tasted delicious, like I could eat it just as the noodles no other dishes needed, and the lamb pan-fried dumplings were so addictive. Its not Hakka food either, its really Chinese food. Normally I go to get Halal Chinese for families and its Hakka, very spicy, but this was not spicy at all and you have their delicious chilli sauce if you want to add some. Great food, great service!
Service was terrible, they made me wait like 30 mins before giving my order. Food was delicious though, the price was not cheap. They charge tips in your bill without asking and act like its something normal... I would prefer to order online instead of going there.
Lamb soup is really just a pot of water. Unbelievable
The pie is not fragrant, the mutton soup is very salty, and the water is completely wrong. The service is okay, but the food cannot be regressed. The regression is shocking; understand and avoid lightning. (Water burst belly: the taste is too fishy, the texture is not crispy, and I don t know whether it is fresh or not; the mahjong is too salty, and it has not been diarrhea, which is wrong; I can t swallow it after taking one bite, and I can t take it back, so I asked the waiter to leave)
this place is always amazing! the dumplings are always so good and juicy. i would recommend getting the beef and lamb pan fried dumplings. the hand pulled noodles are SOO good. the chilli chicken is truly a fav, so crispy and just different from the regular. definitely a spot i keep coming back to. this spot always hits.
I was craving for soup. Tried soup and ordered one deep fried dough however they served me completely different item no match with the menu s picture. Issue was not the big deal i feel bad when she was saying it is the correct one. We need to learn accepting the mistake. Our tell the truth to your guests you don t have it as we menu. Very disappointing
Pineapple chicken is Dumplings amazing Noodles on point Anything skewered beef chicken and lamb just muahh Dumplings in soup could use some work a little vinegary Service impeccable Seating area is very comfortable, modern and pleasant to view Parking has an upper level for busy nights Vegetarian options: Meat free option plenty and fresh Parking: 2 level Kid-friendliness: Good seating, dishes and very friendly staff Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps
Love it!
The service is poor, still have to pre-add 15% service tips to the bill without telling the customer. This is ridiculous.
Food and service has gone downhill from before. I guess inflation but at least the price should reflect the value , this was not the case. The lamb skewers looks nothing like the menu , and it is not even charcoal grilled its fried, tasted bland and dry. Would not recommend this place, take your money elsewhere.
Excellent food !!!
Very delicious..!! Every plate was rich in the taste and amazing in quality..!! Definitely planning to come again with family and friends..!! Food
The food and staff are amazing. The food is super tasty, I was shocked because I have never tasted food this good anywhere else. This was my 2nd visit.
