Goa Indian Farm Kitchen by Hemant Bhagwani is a tribute to the rich Portuguese influence on the Goan culture of India, dating back to the 450 years of Portuguese rule over this state. It's a culture that is joyous and buzzing, and reflects the region’s stunning cultural diversity today. "Come, celebrate the good days, and make the rough ones better, just like the Goans do."
Amazing drinks and absolutely delicious Goan Indian cuisine! The taste was impeccable and the dishes had the key ingredients of a Goan Cuisine! The Goan Mule is a must try!! Will definitely be back again for the delicious food and great service!
The eggplant! Yes, the deep fried eggplant is spot on! Not to mention the very delicious chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. They are not too spicy. And perfect pairing with garlic naan.
I got the mango pomegranate drink but it wasn't as sweet as I had hoped. Instead, it had a savoury taste to it that I didn't really appreciate for a drink. We ordered the cauliflower appetizer and it was amazing! Not just the taste but the texture was spot on and I think it's the best I've ever tasted! We almost ordered it again to take home but resisted since it is likely deep fried. The braised short ribs in a vindaloo sauce was unique, spicy and delicious! The laal maas had tender lamb and the curry was flavourful. The service was great! I liked the small take home containers so I could separate the curries and it was easy to take home leftovers. Will definitely be back!
Very good deal for Summerlicious lunch ($27). We came with a group of five so we were able to try everything on the menu. Appetizers - favourite was the avocado papdi chaat, which was light and refreshing with great flavors and textures. The shrimp balchao toast was on the spicier side, and the chicken masala fry taco was tasty but a bit dry. Mains - the vegetarian thali was excellent! Both types of curry were both very good (not too spicy), and lentils were so creamy. The Goan fish curry was good but the fish was a bit overcooked/firm. Tandoori chicken fajita was very salty. Desserts - no standout here, all three were pretty decent. The savory dishes were definitely the highlight. Overall, portions were generous and filling (especially since every main comes with rice). Service was friendly and efficient.
Rich and flavourful food. Definitely a must try place. You can tell the food is prepared fresh and good flavour balance. Spicier than the average pallette, but true to their culture. Ordered the lamb biryanyi. Nice large portions. The avocado Chaat was sweet and savoury. A must try.
I had high hopes for this place and I went with an empty stomach. Unfortunately, the food was just not quite there. The mango lassi was bland. The cauliflower was well prepared but too saucy. The biryani was not fluffy enough. The butter chicken was unremarkable. Service was great, however as was the atmosphere.
They served very good tasty food even though very limited Goan dishes on the menu.. I was expecting more Goan dishes. But still the food tasted very good. Must must try lamp chops , prawns achari. I celebrated my bday there and they gave me a small yummm mango cake. If u have any special occasion, please let them know in advance. Very good service and servers!
Came here for the winterlicious menu and it was okay. The curries were very flavorful and rich but the portion sizes were pretty small. The chicken tikka was the best of the appetizers, the fish was like dry, hard frozen fried fish you would get from the grocery store. The dessert was also okay. Overall while it is a cheaper option for winterlicious, I still think the value isn’t that great.
Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options. Like Chana masala and daal makni Parking: Currently construction takes half of the avaliable parking in the mall. Been like this for a while.
A for the effort, its not bad, but wont be back again, our goan family came in with high hopes but failed to meet our expectations. Please do better with menus or change your name by removing goa as it isnt authentic or at least tried to.
Indian food place with Goa name restaurant but its not a Goan food restaurant. Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Ask for dairy free Parking: Enter from Scotia Bank and Park in front of the bank parking lot Kid-friendliness: Ok Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Fantastic food and service
I have to say it s the best India restaurant I ve ate. It s also the most beautiful Indian restaurant in my list. To be honest, I was dumb to read the menu, but the waitress gave me a really great recommendation. Every dish is amazing. I ll invite my Indian friends to the restaurant to check.
So far a real Indian taste I have got in NorthYork Vegetarian options: My wife loves her vegetarian style Food : 5/5 |
NOT GOAN FOOD. Indian food, yes. But NOT GOAN FOOD. Everything else is really good. Love everything about this place. I just hate the fact that they use the name of Goa to serve simple Indian dishes. Where s the Sorpotel and the Chorizo? Where s the Beef Roast and Ros Omelette? THIS IS NOT GOAN FOOD!!!!
The reviews seem fishy! Goa started very strong and we kept going back the first year and then second and we start seeing a huge decline on their food quality! I don t know what happen maybe the chef changed, not sure but we got disappointed not once but I a. Say at least ten times till we are giving up! Not more! Service was not there till day one, the servers always had attitude
Excellent food
Very good
Quality and services is best
I had the butter chicken and garlic naan. The naan is very good - 4/5! But the butter chicken is quite sweet, and it s a small portion of meat (6 smaller-sized pieces) for $22, so I d give that a 2 or 3 out of 5. Overall, rates as a 3, in my opinion.
I love the lal mass and lamb biryani which I would suggest to most of the new people. It taste super amazing and I have been going here for like past 2 months which I thoroughly enjoyed it
Great food and Great service
Excellent food, perfectly cooked chicken and lamb dishes. Delicious samosas and great friendly service. Parking: Large mall, plenty of parking except on weekends Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is in a mall
I really liked the garlic naan.
Amazing food Amazing service Highly recommended Food : 5/5
We arranged a family get together and we all enjoyed the the atmosphere and food. The service was excellent especially Sahil the person who serve food did a great job and the price for the food was reasonable. Parking: good parking space Kid-friendliness: kid had a great time
Hidden gem!
Food was phenomenal. Dessert menu limited. Service was efficient and very polite. Lovely decor.
We ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala as always. The prices has jumped up significantly and also now its half portion of the chicken. Its a complete rip off from both end. Very disappointed.
Amazing Food. Quantity and Quality were great. Was worth the money. You will see us again.
I ordered the Buy One Get One food from Uber Eats, and the quantity and quality was above par. Food was Delicious.
The food and services are good. I mostly order butter chicken and lal mass , which significantly is too good. Would 100% recommend to go!!
During this unprecedented time, a lot of us are home and we are lucky to have restaurants open for delivery. Goa Indian Farm Kitchen came through for my family this weekend! Every dish ordered was cooked with care. Loved the balance between ingredients in each dish - eggplant was paired effortlessly with pomegranate seeds, chunks of mango floated blissfully with jumbo shrimp in a delicious sauce and the fish was a delightful surprise with okra and drumsticks! Thanks to the chef and thanks to the Uber driver for his delivery. You are the welcome rays of sunshine while we wait under this dark cloud of uncertainty! Addendum May 22, 2024 It was my sons 16th birthday, and we chose to have a family dinner, to celebrate the milestone birthday, at Goa Indian Farm Kitchen. We are glad we made that choice. Priya, our server, was amazing with customer service. She was personable and professional. Excellent on all levels. The rest of the staff were great. The food was delicious and didnt disappoint. Thanks so much for making it a memorable evening.
Delicious food. Each dish has its own character, not the same flavour sauce in every dish like some restaurants do.
Yummy
They accepted my Uber eats order and they called me to make adjustments to my order at 8:00. When my order was ready and wrapping up according to the Uber eats app the driver called me when he arrived at the restaurant and it said they were closed I never got my food and they never answered the phone when I called they also never answered the phone when the Uber helpline called. Thankfully Uber gave me my money back but I would not trust this place to make an online order. Vegetarian options: They claim to be vegetarian and vegan but they also serve meat and chicken. I hope they use different grills and pans. Dietary restrictions: They claim to be vegetarian and vegan but they also serve meat and chicken. I hope they use different grills and pans.
It was our second and very pleasurable visit. Pramisha was looking after as again. She is always extremely proficient and kindhearted and ensures our dining experience is excellent. Every dish is very tasty with a very good presentation and with generous portions. Examples: Pulao basmati rice with Saffron, Bhindi masala aloo, Samosas, Cucumber Raita, Garlic Naan, amazing Mango Lassi and Mango Juice. Very nice ambiance, restaurant service is very well organized and very clean. Easy for quiet conversations because the music volume is gentle. Highly recommendable establishment for discerning connoisseurs of Indian cooking.
Pictures of ordered dishes are posted to their Google Map location in Bayview Village
The service at Goa is warm, attentive and my family and I enjoyed our lunch there. The food was fantastic, fresh and flavourful - as well as consistent! This is why we continue to return. Looking forward to our next lunch there! We ordered: - multiple orders for garlic butter Naan - 2 x Cafreal chicken - my favorite! - 2 x Lasuni cauliflower - another group favorite - 2 x Branzino fish curry - 2 x basmati rice - Short Ribs All of these tastes better than ever!
The food is great. But all BBQ items on the menu are very salty.
Delicious!
After having lunch there my kid and I got a very upset stomach to put it nicely. I do not recommend it neither Im planning to ever go there again. First and last time
The best experience for the lamb biryani i had at the Bayview village Shopping Centre with Goa Indian Farm Kitchen. I really loved the service and hospitality from Mary, very courteous snd helpful and recommended me with the Biryani. Flavorful, rice being fluffy good preparation with amazing quantity and quality on top of that lamb was cooked with perfection. Looking forward to come back for more, it was a plessure to be here. Loved every bit of it, Thanks Mary for your hospitality once again.
Found this little gem around my work a couple weeks ago and we were blown away by the food! Authentic and delicious!! Will definitely go back!
Had lunch for the 1st time. It was very enjoyable and the food was excellent.
My first visit to the restaurant but definitely will not be the last. Food was delicious and the server lady was very professional. Friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a delightful experience.
High quality food
Great Indian flavors! I realized a little extra of an ingredient makes it stand apart. Good one chef!!
Very good
Visit this restaurant at least twice a year as its a 30 minute drive to get here. But the food is absolutely worth it. Went again for winterlisous, and though the menu was smaller, found something. Food tasted great as always. Strongly recommend this restaurant. Lamb chops are pricey, but amazing
Tried Winterlicious lunch and had chicken tikka, Changezi chicken and cheesecake with mango pulp. The Changezi chicken was slightly overcooked. If I have to be honest, I felt the quantity wasn t just enough for me. The serving was bit less for the rice and appetizer. I had to order bread (lachcha paratha) on the side. Cheesecake was my favourite. Please carry toothpicks and mouth fresheners. Thank you everyone.
Initially we order two briyani items and I swamped one briyani wirh papdi chat . Server brought chat and I was waiting for 15 mins. when asked waitress about briyani she thought we canceled and its Literally closing time and I left the restaurant with hunger .Please confirm the order twice .
We recently dined at Goa Indian Farm Kitchen, on the last day of Winterlicious and it was an absolute delight! The regular menu and the Winterlicious menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes, each bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was top-notch as well. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Overall, dining at Goa Indian Farm Kitchen was a true pleasure. I left feeling satisfied and content, eager to return and explore more of their culinary offerings.
Surprisingly really tasty. Took my parents out for dinner and the food was good, but the food landed warm not hot! The lady waitress came by and we told her the issue and gave us a dessert at the end! Overall great service, and great food. Price was fair 4 dishes $120 bucks for 3
The fluffy naan and soft lamb makes this place nothing less than a 5. The service was amazing too. My personal favourite is laal maas with naan.
Nice meal. Havent had Indian food in ages. Not too spicy and a reasonable size.
More like a fine dining Indian restaurant. The food was phenomenal though the portion was small. Service was decent. It was quite an experience.
Great service, and perfect food with all the Indian spices.
Is this restaurant open right now? Nobody is answering the phone!
Menu had enough items for different tastes and diets. We went there at the end of the shift so service wasn t at its best. Food however tasted good and full of flavours and spices expected. I dont think they made their own Naan or other bread which was disappointing as they taste way better fresh, but I also gotta be fair as they are located in a mall and not everything can be done as expected. Overall satisfied with the quality
Delicious Indian food in a formal, upscale setting. Vegetarian options: We had saag paneer and sweet and sour eggplant with saffron rice, there was a good selection of vegetarian food here. Food : 5/5 |
Today I began goa restaurant fust time . I got really surprised food was really dilishes and one of the best food in Toronto . I think goa restaurant was really lucky to have cook Hes the best cook thank you so much cook. I will come next with my family. See you soon cook happy new year 2023
The food and customer service was great Everything tasted delicate
Its the most beautiful restaurant. Dined last night. The food was delicious. Their service is top notch. The server and manager were very pleasant and friendly with the kids on our table. This is my favourite restaurant now and will be back soon.
My familys favourite Indian restaurant. The food is so delicious!
I went to this restaurant as being in one of the most prestigious place in Toronto but after being seated I realized I made a mistake. A presenter named Harry attended us and the experience was not really pleasant, he did not know how to talk to a customer and please ask him how can a server serve wine. Anyways leaving the proper things aside his overall behaviour was not even satisfactory enough.
Great food, service and atmosphere! The place to go for Indian food in the Bayview and Sheppard area.
Visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We got the prawn balchao as a starter, which was very flavourful. We got the koyla lamb biryani which wad really good and the meat wad very tender. We got Laal maas curry, which was yummy but very SPICY. Im pretty sure it killed a couple of my taste buds. Overall the food was delicious. However, it was very disappointing that there was no Bebinca or the Mango Lassi cheesecake available :( Vegetarian options: Minimal veggie options
Came for a late lunch on a weekday with my mom and it was absolutely wonderful! The decor was unique and interesting to look at as they had portraits of different people, places and things hung up on the wall. Our server H was always attentive, checked in with us often, and very accommodating especially when we asked for hot water and he offered it with lemon and was able to make our meal mild since we do not have a strong spice tolerance. Not many indian restaurants will offer this and it was very nice. Samosa - 2 large pieces came cut open to cool down and we really enjoyed the pastry of the samosa and the tamarind sauce. Tikka masala - decent portion with huge chunks of chicken breast. It was nice and tender and the sauce was great. Butter naan- although delicious and freshly made, for the $4 price point it seemed rather a smaller piece than expected Thank you for the great service! Looking forward to coming here again to try the butter chicken and biryani.
Its located inside bayview village mall, and gives an elegent feeling, had a good vibe, and the food is great!
It was expensive and naan was not included with the food and they charged me 4 dollars for 2 small pieces of bread. I don t recommend to anyone to go to this restaurant.
Great food and upscale, attentive service. Food came quickly and all at once, Shahid is very nice and professional.
My daughter and I went for winterlicious, great fixed menu, nice variety! Really colourful restaurant, great vibe, food is delicious and wait staff are friendly, courteous, respectful. We had Sahil and he was very easy to talk to. Great experience! Parking: Mall parking
We went here for a Winterlicious dinner, having made a reservation well in advance. Unfortunately, the restaurant was grossly understaffed for a Winterlicious weekend. It took about 15 minutes for us to even be seated. Then it took 45 minutes for us to even get menus, and we had to ask for water. We selected drinks from the menu but when we tried to order them, they were not available. We made new selections and those werent available either. It ended up being easier to ask what was available and choose from that handful of options. When our drinks arrived, those of us who had drinks containing lime juice had to send them back because they smelled off, as though some of the limes used to make the juice had gone bad. Our server told us it was supposed to smell that way... but we just couldnt consume those drinks. The servers were working very hard but they were not well-trained, so the quality of service was poor. For example, as we went through the courses, the servers kept bringing dishes to the table but werent clearing any of the empty dishes, so the table became very cluttered. We had to ask the servers to take away the empty dishes so we could have some room to eat comfortably. Although the food was fairly good, the desserts were quite disappointing, the service was painfully slow, and the courses were not well-paced. When our bill arrived, it had a built-in gratuity, even though we were a small party (4 people) and they charged us for the drinks we had sent back. Overall, it was not a good experience at all. Its unfortunate, as Winterlicious is a great opportunity for restaurants to shine and gain new patrons. The management of this restaurant completely blew that opportunity.
Tables are empty, but server claims he has reservations. YOU SHOULD WRITE CLEARLY RESERVATIONS ARE MANDATORY. WE WOULD HAVE NOT PLANNED FOR IT. Food : 5/5
I went for Winterlicious! $27 prix fixe, and the food was overall quite solid. I thought the portions were a tad small given the price however, and unfortunately the food took 30 minutes to arrive, although the waiter politely apologized. Recommended!
Very good atmosphere, excellent food and great presentation. We were very impressed.
Our family had a great time at Goa. We went there without booking a table in advance for Winterlicious. Staff were nice enough to try to find us a table right outside the restaurant. Out of sight definitely does not mean out of mind. The staff took care of us in every way- from explaining the menu, to checking on us frequently, not to mention our water were filled whenever it was running low. Food are exceptional too- the fried cauliflower appetizer is out of the world. For main dish- we each tried different curry dish. They are unique in flavour and ingredients are fresh. We especially love the rice and naan !!!! Kids kept complimenting the food in spite of the fact that they usually could not tolerate spices. That s how good the food was. Thank you for your great service. We had a memorable night!
This food is addictive Its sooo delicious! Im bringing my family here this weekend. Cant wait! Food
Awesome food at this place. A rare occurrence of non oily yet tasty Indian food. Chat was tasty and healthy! Chicken tikka Caf-real was perfect on spice levels. Prawns bal-chow was juicy and tender! Do try spicy guava drink..it tastes awesome! Whole spices flavour in biryani could have been a touch lighter. Menu could have some more options, may be Konkani/Goan to go with the name of restaurant :-P
This place was fantastic. One of the best Indian places Ive ever gone to. All the food here was high-end and made in a distinctly un-pedestrian way. For example they had braised beef in an Indian curry style, but the beef was wagyu! Even the biryani had some upscale accouterments to it. The only drawback is I wish it wasnt in a mall, but its own dedicated restaurant instead. Wonderful place.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Food
Delish food. Wonderful service. Very quick wkth the orders. They broke down each dish and what it has as well as spice level (i like spice but my gf doesnt really) quality GOA food. Its a blend of Portuguese and indian.. so good! Will def go back!
I see a-lot of great reviews and that, and a dear friends recommendation brought me here. To my surprise though, I did not at feel welcomed here due to certain issues: - Booked a table for 6, and was told on reaching that they cant fit 6 anywhere. Upon a rigorous here and there, we at least got a table, but at the outside - Placed the order, and the host looked more intruding into our conversations, thinking if we were still talking about the awkward encounter - Were offered no big plates, even when asked for, twice (said thats what we get, even though I could see bigger plates on the inside tables) - Made to feel as if we were un-welcomed and were constantly eyed upon for placing order fast and making a choice (understandable since they were closing in an hour due to family day, but hey! should have been told the same while making a reservation) The whole encounter made me a little nervous and I was there especially to try their Lal Maas (Red Meat) and was again disappointed as, even after claiming it at numerous spaces as slow cooked for 8 hrs... the lamb was far from tender, juicy or well marinated. We quickly brought that into the hosts consideration, who recognized and agreed that the lamb was dry, undercooked and looked like a piece of moist wood. Although, all he did was to offer dessert on the house, even after taking the matter up to the chef and coming back to inform us that yes! the meat was bad and its been a constant complaint, but we recognize that the issue was from our back end (factory, as he mentioned, while telling how the food was procured pre-made from some factory!! (shocker for sure). No amends were made whatsoever and we looked like a bunch of nosy Indians who they might have considered not so generous with the tip already. Throughout the conversation, the gentleman kept making remarks how the owner had a habit of handling food business and keeps opening and closing restaurants every now and then (total boasting)... Nonetheless, other vegetarians on the table were happy with their food and these were some of the remarks: - the gravies were amazing and delectable - Naans were amazingly done and felt like dough pillows - Menu is good, but lacked execution on table! All in all, Ill think twice before visiting again. Wanted to try their Xacuti as I am a fan of the dish but Ill think and research for it better to try some good alternative Goan kitchens. Parking: Free Plaza parking at the Bayview Village plaza.
Everything taste perfect! Really really good. Sahil is very wonderful and very attentive. Thank you so much for the delightful lunch. More power to this establishment! highly recommended!
Outstanding food and service
Great food. Please introduce new items in the menu.
Great taste, awesome service, beautiful place (in and out). Overall it was a great experience. The spices used had authentic smell and the taste was true to its name. The gravy, the biryani, the kulcha, the naan, even the gulab jamun all had the true Indian taste and not like some other restaurants that make it for the westerners taste buds. I enjoyed my time at this restaurant. Good luck to you guys.
Great service
My husband, his cousin and his wife, dined out at the Goa Indian Farm Kitchen this past Saturday and the food was very good. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered and shared. The service was very, very good. My husband and I were looking all over for a good Indian restaurant in Toronto and we couldnt find a good one until we went to this one on Saturday. Although it is pricey, it was well worth it. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.
I ordered from Uber eat 2 daal makhni and 2 Mumbai pulao with some breads. Food was way above 5 stars like I can t get enough of it. The portion of dal makhni was really less as I ordered them on the 1+1 offer using Uber eats . 3 stars only coz the dal portion was half of the container and 3 people couldn t eat 2 orders of dal makhni.
Chicken and lamb biryani were great, great ambience. But we were expecting more of Goan recipes and dishes in their menu.
My wife and I wanted to try out this restaurant as we wanted to try something new. My favourite dish that we got was surprisingly the Lasuni Cauliflower as it reminds me of sweet chilli chicken. You can t tell your eating cauliflower, it s soft and coated in that sauce and similar texture to chicken. Really delicious and that was a 10/10 in my opinion. The lamps chops were okay nothing spectacular. Same with the Xacutti chicken. Almost similar taste to butter chicken and didn t have much flavour and spice as I was expecting. The Laal Maas was decent as the curry had good flavour and spice along with well cooked lamb. If you have the curries as leftovers they actually taste the same if not a bit better the days after. Also, service is amazing and the servers explain well all the menu items well.
Nothing wrong here. Food is flavourful. Just nothing compelling me to go back. Food : 3/5
Went there on a Sunday afternoon and we were very satisfied with their food and service. Their home brand beer was surprisingly good. Food
No taste of food only food coloring. Nothing like Indian.
Good Indian Goan dishes
Great South Indian food and the mango lassi cheesecake was bussing!!
Decent place. Food is pretty tasty and would overall recommend it. Was not convinced on the halal status as they seem to get some halal meat but were not able to provide convincing information on all the meat sources. In case you are particular about halal meat, I would stick with the seafood and vegetarian options.
Vegetarian options: Excellent choices Food
Really disappointing experience.
So good!
Food was great but service was slow only one server working so slow . They keep servers with not experience..
Ordered old style delhi butter chicken it was really old as the name says..chicken was hard..there is no diffrence between aslam chicken tika masala.Just to make butter chicken gravy they added sugar...I can also give minus rating if i get the chance to do so..waste of money
The food was so delicious, I ve never eaten such kind of food since I come here in canada. We ordered 5 dishes, all was super tasty, met all our expectations. Love the food.
Excellent, always fresh, flavourful and attention 10/10.
Great service. Incredible food The best Indian food i had in gta Sahil was great and very professional, the accommodated us last minute and the food did not disappoint This place comes highly recommended
I have never tried a food like this before .. The taste was on point.Everything was professional. The quality was soo good I cant explain by just elaborating. I love the food and will visit again whenever get a chance.
Lal Maas , prawn Curry and butter chicken you cant miss. The must have once atleast. Every dish is upto the mark . Made my day goa Indian farm kitchen thanku
Food was amazing, Mary was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the entire time. She greeted us warmly, took the time to explain the menu items, and provided excellent recommendations based on our preferences.
Vegetarian options: Pretty good vegetarian options Food
First time dining at this Indian restaurant for lunch. The food is delicious and authetic, service is good. The atmosphere was noisy because it was located at the Bayview Shopping Mall. The price for the two of us for lunch was $80.
Order veg pulao, taste is so bad
It was a very pretty restaurant. The food was really good. We had the butter chicken with naan, and lamb biryani. Portions were large. The service was abit slow.
Decent food. Recommend the chilli cauliflower. Meat biryani, mixed grill and butter chicken was decent.
Chicken is raw and the service also not good.
Very very bad experience! Never come back! When we had the appetizer and we found the chicken was raw, we reported it to them and they didnt say anything about it, just changed the chicken, they didnt even give an apology, feel so disappointed. And the entree they sent to the wrong table without any apology too. Food is bad service is like a tragedy Go to other good restaurant instead!
We came here a lot of times, the foods and services are really good!! Special thanks to Shil who helped us accommodate a table.
Yesterday I had the misfortune of dining at Goa Indian Farm Kitchen, and I must say, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. The service provided by the restaurants manager was not only rude but also showcased unprofessional behaviour. Instead of welcoming us, and acknowledging our preference of order in regard to summerlicious and regular menu order he showed a complete lack of interest in providing good service. His behaviour was incredibly disrespectful, asking us to leave the premises if we cant order according to his offerings. My experience at Goa Indian Farm Kitchen was affected by the managers awful behaviour and the inappropriate assistance of the servers. I would strongly advise not to visit this place if you value good service and respectful treatment as a customer because their management has no etiquettes.
Delicious.
Came here for their Summerlicious lunch menu. Ordered the spicy beef kebab which wasnt spicy. Main course was makkhan chicken with mushroom which did not hace any mushroom and the chicken did not have any charcoal smoke taste even though the description says its charcoal smoked chicken. The curry sauce was quite salty. The dessert was Mango Lassi cheese cake which just tasted like an average Mango mousse cake. We had 4 people and instead of giving us 4 portions of naan to go with thr main dish, they just gave one basket of naan in which each person got only 2 small pieces. There was a male server who seems to notice its not enough and said he can give us more if we want implying that we can get free refill. But when we tried to ask for more from a differerent server, she said we have to pay extra.
Loved the lamb curry! Good service too!
Missed my Pepsi while ordering through ubereats, poor service
They display that they are open till 9 pm but the manager here is so rude that he said we stop taking orders at 8 pm and we arrived at 8.25 pm and asked them for dine in and he said he can only give takeout and then I went to next door restaurant and even ate my meal and then on my way back I saw this restaurant was still open and there were people eating food at 9.20 pm too ,so not sure what was the reason manager lied to us . I think they either need to fix operation timings which the display or treat every customer equally.
Good meal. Havent had Indian food in ages. Not too spicy and a reasonable size.
Visited this today for lunch, the food was too good, we tried chicken tikka 9/10, eggplant fries 9/10, paneer curry with garlic roti. Lunch without a dessert will not complete so ordered mango lassi cheese cake which is damn tasty. Sneha Mary suggested this dessert it was Yumm. A must try I can say. The staff were too polite and friendly and very comfortable to get what customers asked for. Thanks to Mary for good service.
After a long time i had such a delicious food especially butter chicken, laal maas and garlic naan was fabulous. I will surely visit soon
Came here to try their Summerlicious menu. The dishes were definitely hit or miss. Nothing was bad per se, but nothing stood out either. The fried eggplant appetizer and lamb curry were pretty good, but the proportion was tiny and we got 3 small lamb pieces. The rest of the savoury dishes could only be described as spiced, but lacking flavour . The shrimp curry was my least favourite. Naan was fine but proportionally we felt like we should ve gotten more than just 1 shared between 2 people for the amount paid. Mango lassi cheesecake was just your standard cheesecake with mango purée, cant really go wrong. Service was good. Overall: Yes, it is slightly more upscale than your average Indian takeout, but you can find much better taste and price elsewhere. All the dishes had muted flavours, perhaps because 1) spices are largely oil soluble and these dishes lacked fats/oils and 2) the lack of animal protein was not made up for, and therefore lacked that deep savoury and umami taste.
Ordered through uber eats , they followed the order notes. The Aslams chicken tikka was bit salty(still eatable not too bad) but the gravys taste was good. It had less chicken pieces maybe because it was Buy one get one on Uber eats. I did not like the lasuni cauliflower. It had tangy sweet chili sauce not exactly not exactly lahsuni. I wouldnt pay full price for any of those. Seeing the menu online I feel it is bit expensive.
I really enjoyed the food here . Especially i love daal makhani, lamb xacutti and garlic naan which i had such a delicious food after a long time since came in canada and remind me of India. I will definitely visit again to try more items. In context of food its worth to visit again.
Enjoyed a dinner here; plan to return to sample the other offerings.
Wanted to reserve for 10 people. Online would take only 7. Called and booked for 10. When we got there after almost an hour drive, they say they only have reservations for 7 and cannot accommodate more. An absolute bummer. Was looking forward to trying this place. Had to scramble last minute to find something else for a party of 10. What a waste of time!
Delicious menu.
Great food
Dishes all had lots of sauce but very little in the way of paneer and no or next to no vegetables.
Fine dining experience Food portion for Indian food is fair not like others Food
Delicious food. Taste is authentic and very Indian. The service was great and the service team were kind enough to put up with kids. Definitely worth going back. Parking: Mall offers free parking
Great experience. Would highly recommend for authentic food with great service.
Everything we ordered was super tasty and served very quickly. Would recommend the butter chicken and saag paneer!
I recently dined at the Indian Restaurant, and I must say it was an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment I walked in, the aromatic spices and warm ambiance set the stage for a delightful evening. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who provided excellent recommendations and ensured our dining experience was enjoyable.
Really good and well priced Indian food! Atmosphere was lovely too. Food : 5/5
Great food indeed! A little pricey however the food is definitely tasty. The quantity for their starters wasn t a lot but their main course was quite filling. The butter chicken was too sweet for my pallet but the laal Maas was very well done. The ambience is good as well. Would recommend trying this place for fine dining.
Cauliflower was so amazing
Uncooked paneer
what can i say the food taste good!!! Rahul and Sahil are amazing.. keep it up guys, cheers!! Food : 5/5
The food was really good. We ordered butter chicken, garlic naan and the cauliflower appetizer and enjoyed them all. The staff was really nice too. The service, like filling out water, providing napkins, etc. could be better
The Goa Indian restaurant exceeded expectations with its flavorful biryani and perfectly cooked tandoori dishes. The delightful culinary journey, combined with a pleasant ambiance, made it a standout dining experience. Highly recommended for those seeking authentic and delicious Indian cuisine.
Very nice and friendly staff but we paid $67 for 2 dishes. There was the butter chicken which comes with no side of rice or naan (bread) so we had to order on the side. We also ordered the short ribs which was $25 but again nothing comes with it, just the curry itself. You would kind of think paying $20 and $25 for two dishes you would get something more than just two stews. Other than that the quality of both dishes were very mediocre, the rice was dry, butter chicken was very average but the meat stew (short ribs) were very tender. It s nice to try this place once but I would not suggest going more than that.
l love their food, it s clean and tasty,, staff are friendly and kind,, close to my house too! what else l can ask for..
Great ambience
Ordered thru delivery service. The food was okay. Four stars if the price were half. At this price one expects better taste and better quality meat.
Before I review this restaurant I want to say that I am originally from Konkan, a Western part of India which includes Goa. Judging by the name of this restaurant I had a perception that GOA Indian Farm Kitchen would have the basic Goan food dishes - Pomfret, Pork chilly, king fish, to name a few. I would like to question the owners as to why such a misleading name when there are maybe 1 or 2 Goan food dishes in the menu? Next about the 1 or 2 Goan dishes - we tasted the Goan Balchow (it should actually be spelled B-A-L-C-H-A-O) and Chicken Xacuti. Sadly none were near the authenticity of Goan food. All Im saying is that the food was good. The interior of the restaurant was fantastic - lovely photos of Goa. The quality and quantity served was nice but the restaurant is NOT Goan!
Some unique versions of standard Indian fare. Especially dal and the breads. Always good service. Goa beer a nice touch.
Great atmosphere and food. Outstanding service! Manan was our waiter and he made great recommendations. Will definitely come back
Great place to have authentic Indian food. Staff was awesome. Loved the interior. Could have done better on table size, but that s not a problem when you get to have best Indian food in North York. Good variety of dishes. Would surely visit again and again.
Food was too spicy for my palate, but I did enjoy it. Service was good and gratuity is right in the bill. Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options on the menu Parking: Plenty of parking available
Delicious cuisine for Indian food fans but the dishes were unusually expensive and particularly if you attend any of the lunch time Indian buffets around the city. The price of admission to 4-5 entrees plus all the naan and basmati you can devour for the price of a single dish at Goa, so bring your wallet full. Youll need the contents.
I went with a couple of friends last weekend. I have to say while Indian food tastes amazing. I almost always feel sick afterwards and attribute that to dairy. I am glad to have tried this place and they are dairy free. The diary free dishes still have so much flavor. I loved the overall vibe of the place and hope to return.
My family and I went for lunch earlier today and similar to our first experience here earlier this year - the food was great & service team was friendly. Would recommend
The taste was disappointing. No flavour or richness. This is clearly made for a particular palette or I caught the chef on an extremely bad day.
Very good
Good tasting food. Is a tad expensive, but still reasonable.
All the chefs did an amazing job. Rich Indian taste
Its simple and easy food.
The food and service are good, the price is a bit expensive.
Order from uber eats. After waiting for 1.5 hours, they cancelled order. Thanks for nothing, but making me hangry. Never ordering from this place.
Update: tried the butter chicken today. It s so bland. Like they forgot to add salt. So disappointed, it was my favorite butter chicken place, but not anymore it looks like. Last year: We had the Butter Chicken and Charred with Paneer. Both were fantastic. It tasted homemade. Price for them were reasonable. We got 15% off for ordering from them directly. Will definitely go back!
Amazing food, flavor and service...highly recommend this small, but intimate source of authentic South Asian food...
The food was good but the way they double tipped us was so unprofessional. They already included 17% graditudity in our bill but again the server brought us tip option in pos and we again paid 15%. The they did not explain us that tip is included in the check. Its so rare to include tip in bills in Canada. So unprofessional , so un Canadian Never go this restaurant again.
Laal maas meat had no taste. Their butter chicken is the worst butter chicken I have ever had in my life. Expensive place selling terrible tasting food, a place you should definitely avoid.
Very nice overall. Nan usually larger at other restaurants.
Heard so much about this place from my husband that we finally decided to go there. Theyve changed their menu, so we couldnt order lamb vindaloo that he loved so much. The chicken xacutti was the worst - chicken was dry, doused with cardamom powder and black pepper. Left with a weird overwhelming aftertaste of black pepper which was hard to get rid of. Didnt expect this bad quality of food specially given the price range. Definitely wont be going there ever again!! Fyi the 2 stars are for nice servers and location.
Food was excellent, service was outstanding. loved the place its become my favourite Restaurant in GTA even though the price was bit on the higher side but it was worth it. We had Goan prawn curry and aslam chicken Tikka masala in main curries and for starters we ordered lasuni cauliflower and everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place in Gta.
Felt the real taste of indian food in this restaurants. Chefs are amazing and the staff and the way their management works it is smooth and full of hygiene. I will visit again
Great taste and great facilities Family and couple friendly. Staff is very professional and respectful
This place has gone downhill over the last couple of years. We ordered the chicken xacutti. The chicken was dry inside - no taste at all. Hard to swallow. The sauce was bland and had a lot of pepper in it. There was no taste at all to this dish for which they charge $22 - which is a lot of money. Further, most of the dishes on the menu have nothing to do with Goa - just regular North Indian dishes so why the false advertising about Goan food. I won t be giving this place my business ever again. Don t know how some of the reviews are 5 start: either they are fake or someone is feeling a nostalgic about Indian food. Save your money and go somewhere better!
I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in Goa indian farm kitchen. I tried a couple of dishes, with a couple of drinks. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a romantic dinner.
The best ever Indian fusion taste in entire Ontario. The chef Sanjay is truly understand essence of spices , the blend in making all dishes are so authentic. The serving food temp is so good even you are eating last bite . The food remains to its best temp. To say I like lahsuni cauliflower, prawns , chicken they taste too good. I was happy to see major foodies in that restaurant were not much of Indian & I could see great satisfaction on their smiling faces of true enjoyment . The server Harishankar is gem & he does explain each dish with great pride. I hope they keep this service & taste for many years to come. Anyone trying at good quality & best service at North York, you must give them chance to prove , what they can deliver. I wish to give them 10 star
Incredible great tasty food. Severs were all respectful helpful and nice ! We will be back again!
Great spot to try Indian food. Service was quite good and food was delicious. A bit pricey but with decent portion sizes.
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience..
The food is great the staff are very professional Adrian was very nice and made our lunch more pleasant
Very good experience. Sahil was great.
It s a really good restaurant and very good experience there and thank you Sahil for the recommendation; good service
An update on November 2022: I missed the foods here. Service was courteous and genuine. Adrian took care of us well. I had the Laal Maas lamb curry. The sauce was special, medium spicy. It was perfect to be paired with Butter garlic Naan. I found the lamb was too lean to my taste, braised in this dish, it was chewy and tough. If they use lamb bellies with fatty meats, it might have been perfect. Still my favorite to enjoy Goan authentic cuisine. GOA is a gem in Bayview Village. As area residents, this presents an excellent choice especially for authentic Indian Cuisine from the region of Goa. I had the fish and the sauce was flavorful but not overpowering, paired with NZ Sauvignon Blanc, it added so much enjoyment to my dining experiences. I cannot wait to bring my family to try the Summerlicious. Impressive, you all should try for yourselves.
Adrian is the best server!
Had a wonderful time at Goa today. The food is always delicious and we were very lucky to be in Sahil s care. He made our experience at Goa extra special. Thank you Sahil :)
Great food, but takes forever. Might as well show up 20 mins after expected pick up time.
Our server and staff were really nice. The food is really really good! The restaurant has a nice ambiance and something I noticed as soon as I sat down- the chairs were very comfortable.
Tasy and authentic food. Definitely a must go for goan fish curry
