3169 Dufferin St, North York, ON M6A 2S9, Canada
Italian classics like pizza & housemade gnocchi, plus traditional music & an extensive wine list.
Fantastic food and our server was also amazing. Great presentation, decent sized portions and cooked perfectly. They were able to accommodate allergies
Amazing food and incredible service. I hosted my baby shower here and everything g was made to perfection. Each guest came up to me and told me they loved their meal, everything was so fresh and delicious. They were able to cater to my vegetarian and gluten free guests. The service was impeccable, from making sure every table had what it needed to making sure food came out on time in an orderly manner. If you are looking to host your event here, you are going to be extremely pleased because it’s very rare to find both excellent food and service in one place. The atmosphere is beautiful, the restaurant is spacious and holds many people. I had so many guests say they are coming back to dine here on their own.
Severs name was Josh who did an excellent job! Considering the restaurant was very full at the time we ordered he did his best to accommodate us and move as quickly as he could, the crowd was a young professional, upper scale clientele, coming from a background Italian heritage this food was 100% completely authentic , I definitely will recommend and will be returning!!!
We had a party of 9 and the food and service was outstanding. The atmosphere and service was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend Mezza Note if you’re looking for great Italian cuisine, as they knocked it out of the park from the entrees to the main dishes and desserts. We will definitely be making a comeback. We had an amazing time.
Never disappoints us. We were regular at Yonge-Finch location but unfortunately it was closed. First time putting the order with the new location, Rustica - replacing rapini with black olives and olive oil drizzled on top Always the same choice and it never gets boring ♥️
Our go-to spot for a classic southern Italian restaurant. This place has everything you're looking for from great fo and friendly service. Roberto and his team are gems and some of the kindest people I've ever met. It was absolutely a pleasure coming here. I want to add that this is a great place to host an intimate family gathering or business function. I can't say enough about Mezza Notte! We'll be back again very soon!
This was the first time at the new location. It seems smaller and is much noisier. The menu has changed and is much smaller and they no longer have the salmon penne in a vodka sauce, which was my favourite. However, everything was still great. Parking can be a challenge. Overall, still one of my favourite places.
Italian food that is outstanding. We were invited to a family event and I honestly can say the food was delicious. It was a preset menu and each dish was not only delicious but beautiful presentation. Every bite was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I would highly recommend if you are looking for Italian food. They are opened for business in between private parties.
This was the first time I came to their new location as I have always visited their old location that was by young street. And I love this new site. Its upscale and the food and drinks are amazing. Love the ambiance and servers Are very kind. The chicken parm was on point and I love their pizza and my all time favourite tiramisu. Its a must try.
Loved the food and service but it gets really loud. We went on a Sunday night and it was full and we could barely hear ourselves talk. Also, their phone system doesn t work. I tried to make reservations and leave a message and it just hangs up after giving you these options.
The most condescending, rude server I have ever encountered. From the first instance of interaction she spoke down to our table suggesting our ignorance. Delicious food, but if you get the middle aged Asian woman as a server I d reconsider dining with them or ask for someone else. She was horrid. Really astonishingly rude, demeaning and condescending. This should be a zero star for service but that is not programmable. Be warned.
food is delicious and the service is fast. Our server was very knowledgeable and the staff are welcoming. And the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
We were looking forward to a great meal, as I ve been to Mezze Notte at their other locations. When our appetizers were served, we asked for a basket of bread and were told you get four pieces for an additional charge , out of principle, it was a hard no. I ordered the Veal parm. It looked dried up and tasted even worse. The tomato sauce was very acidic. I should mention that we were seated in the basement because the upstairs was full. We sat in the basement where it was dingy and stunk of mould/mildew. There are far too many other trattorias/restaurants to choose from. Will NOT be going back
Wish I could give Mezzanote more than 5 stars. Everything was so perfect. Extremely polite and friendly. Highly recommended. Food
Pizza was burned !Never had a burned pizza in a restaurant! Definitely not a good option for pizza ! Food
Everything exceeds expectations. Very welcoming staff, food is perfection and the overall energy is great for a small dinner to a larger party. Highly recommend
Great environment and delicious food. Always busy so leave time to enjoy your meal.
The resturant was fantastic loved
last time I was there I went with my mother and some of her friends, they werent familiar with some of the dishes and the staff really helped us out and even let us sample some stuff. We had a great time and the food was delicious.
I have been a diner at Mezza Notte for many years. The food is always served piping hot, theres always specials to chose from and the food is delicious. I just wish it was still in my neighborhood. Having said that, I will always support them. Service with a smile.
Everything was amazing. The food, the service, me mattress Edmond very educated and nice. We ll be back!
What a fantastic restaurant! We loved going to their old location, and this newer location was still excellent! Delicious food (soup and blackened salad were amazing), wonderful service by both the owner and wait staff. Drinks were tasty and the ambiance in the restaurant was lively! Kid-friendliness: family-friendly restaurant
Loved the radicchio salad!
Good food fair prices . Nice portions
Great food .. authentic... highly recommend...
good service but food was absolutely horrible. portions are severely small for the price you pay. avoid this place please i m begging you! anywhere else is better than this.
My friends and I passed this place many times and finally decided to try it out. Such a nice place and our server Edmond was an absolute delight! Will definitely come again!!!!
Went for a birthday lunch, we would always drive by and hear good things about this restaurant. It did not disappoint we had 3 variety of pasta, a pizza Cesar salad and burrata. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service can be improved but over all a great experience. We will be back!
Excellent food, service and great atmosphere!
Server was great, friendly and knowledgeable with food they serve. Food was great and good portions too. Dietary restrictions: Server was great in suggesting food that can be ordered and suggesting modifications can be an option too.
The best Tiramisu i ever had
Service & atmosphere was amazing, music was lovely and at a perfecr volume to dine at. Our waiter was friendly and made sure we had everythingwe needed. We ordered a few dishes from here and they were all good except one seadfood dish was quite salty. Other then that one dish I will come here again to try their pizza next time.
Mezza Notte is an authentic Italian Restaurant. I have watched it under construction and finally open for business plus Patio coming soon. Im happy to say the ambiance has a feel good energy to it, lots of happy people dining and sipping vino, service is great, price and portions are reasonable. I will be back to try more items on the menu and I highly recommend it. Patio is now open. Vegetarian options: available Dietary restrictions: Ask and itll be oblige Parking: in front of restaurant Kid-friendliness: available Wheelchair accessibility: available
Great place, the food was great. We will go again .
Pricey and dissapointing Gnochi I had was too soggy, hard to finish the plate even when I was really hungry 2 pastas & 1 salad for $75 including everything
Amazing service and food was absolutely great. Vibe was lively.
Highly recommend eating here.
I think the food was ok, nothing special. They sat us in the basement/lower level though and it wasn t that nice of an atmosphere.
Great New Location, would go back and would also Recommend it
Food is amazing, but it could get very loud in the restaurant as its a square shape space with nothing on the walls to absorb the sound.
Took my beautiful wife for her birthday dinner last night and it was a lovely experience. Rob makes you feel like one of the family and his chefs create some magical and unique dishes. Two of my favourites are the radicchio salad and the home made squid ink pasta with seafood.
Very very disappointed. We drove from Durham to dine here. Got there at 9.57pm and were turned away bring told they are closed....online says they close st 11pm Very very shameful action by staff.
Excellent experience. Great atmosphere
A restaurant that takes you back to Italy with the right flavors and colors. The staff very kind and professional. Ideal for an excellent dinner.
The best italian restaurant in the city. Hidden gem. Amazing food, amazing staff. Love this place. Vegetarian options: Foccia, salad soup.
Every dish we ordered, food was tasty, portion was decent, and price was reasonable. Well balanced. Floor and walls didnt absorb noises well. We have been visiting this restaurant at different locations in the past, and this location met and exceeded expectations on our family gathering.
Came here tonight to celebrate an anniversary and for their summerlicous menu. The food was great, the service on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. We had to asked for two separate drinks twice and people who came after us got served before us. When my plate came out, I found hair in my food. We flagged the waiter down right away and he took the plate without any expression of regret. There were some other mishaps like dropping a fork into my lap and grabbing for it and asking several times for things, drinks, salt etc. Maybe he was just having a bad day but it took away from the overall experience. The food itself was delicious and would like to come back still.
The food was mediocre, lacking both flavor and presentation. The service was equally disappointing. The Summerlicious menu choices were a letdown and felt like a scam: a vinegary salad, pasta with red sauce, and a small dessert. The service was almost nonexistent. Stay away unless you can tolerate a disappointing dining experience.
The most mediocre Italian food. Poor service as well. Better off eating at home. Hostess said she would be able to seat us outside once the previous table left and sat us inside in the meantime. However she never came back to seat us outside. Server was unpleasant and offered little to no information on the dishes.
Excellent restaurant, great food, great service. Owner is a nice guy. Highly recommend. Parking is sparse but there is street parking nearby.
Amazing place, me and my girlfriend went for a summerlicious dinner and were blown away by everything. From the great service to the delicious food, and the tiramisu the size of the slice, I wish I took a photo. The decor is right up my alley with the vintage car brands. Will be back next month for my birthday, for sure. And the owner has great taste in cars!
Great restaurant
This has to be one of my favourite restaurant s in the city. Great food, the location and layout of the restaurant is top notch. The owners Rob and Gus are amazing hosts. We have recommended Mezza Notte to many of our friends and they LOVE IT!! Keep up the great work Rob!!
Great food and wonderful staff.
**CATERING** Mezza Notte!!! Thank you for catering & delivering at our event!! Food was spectacular!! Hot, delicious, fresh!!! You made our event a success!!!! As always!!!
I can t get enough of great food and great service. The Carlini pasta with lobster was off the chain and I love love loved it! And OmG the cozze
Food was good. Had Pollo Picante - portion size was perfect and food was good. Clean restaurant Good service.
For many years, we have enjoyed our visits to Mezza Nottes original location on Yonge Street, celebrating birthdays, Valentines Days, and other special occasions with great service and food. This tradition led us to try their newer location on Dufferin Street for my mothers 78th birthday, with nine of us in attendance. Sadly, the experience fell short of our expectations. We understand that mistakes happen, but the multitude of issues we encountered, including four of our nine main courses being messed up, was not satisfactory, for the amount that was spent and really took from the occasion. The issues started 10 minutes after ordering our main courses. We were informed the steak and the halibut dishes from the list of specials, were now both unavailable, why present them as options if they are not. This required us to revisit the menu and make other selections. Once the main courses started coming out the fun continued. A wrong pasta was brought to the table, which then had to be sent back. The correct pasta, which had originally been ordered, had to be made, causing further delays. On top of that my moms salmon order, was served at room temperature and was sent back to be reheated, when it came back it was luke warm at best, and ultimately was sent back for good. Despite our polite efforts to address these issues with both the waiter and the manager, the day that was meant to be special was not due to all these mishaps and the family not being able to enjoy a pleasant stress free meal together. The manager did removed the charge for the salmon, but come on it was sent back and thats the least that could be done. Other than that I would say the new location was very loud, lacked parking and lacked the charm and warmth of the original on Yonge Street. With regret, we do not plan to return. Ty for making a special day, extra special.
Food is great, place has a great atmosphere, service is fast and good. Unfortunately, tables are so close to each other and there is not enough parking.
Delicious food
Amazing food and service such a delight to be there...first impressions count!!!
Good was delicious, as was the wine. Our server was so nice and helpful. We found the restaurant somewhat noisy which can make it difficult to have a conversation at times! But that just shows how much everyone was enjoying it there. Will definitely be going back soon! Food
Tasty food, attentive staff, and clean space - can t complain!
Very good food... tasty ingredients and a pleasure to eat. Excellent service! Kid-friendliness: Ottime pizze e pasta Food : 5/5 |
5 stars Excellent atmosphere, food, and service. 100% recommend Food
Restaurant was Beautifully modern, food was delicious served prompt, our server Rob was very attentive helped make our experience superior. I d defiantly come back
Our son and daughter in law had their sons baptism dinner here. The food was very good, fresh and delicious. If we lived in the area, we would definitely return.
Food was great! Ordered a 1/2 serving og the seafood pasta. Generous shrimp, clams, and squid. Very tasty! Ambience was too noisy with the open concept on the main floor. Loved though and we will dine there again.
Cozy restaurant, great food options, make sure to listen to the specials from the waiter because they had some good special selections when I went that werent on the menu. I had the eggplant parmesan, I guess I was expecting some kind of noodles with it but it was just 4 (deliciously) breaded slices of eggplant. Fairly priced and nice solo washrooms.
I have been several times and I have yet to be disappointed with my food choices. I have a family member with a garlic allergy and the wait staff is always kind in answering the questions that we have (and there are garlic free options too which is so hard to find!) There are also several gluten free options which are also very helpful. It does get busy on the weekends so I do recommend to make a reservation just incase.
We did my daughters communion here and had a great experience! Food was really good and portions were also great! Service was also amazing. They exceeded my expectations. I would recommend for any event!
Amazing food, great atmosphere and friendly staff
The food was and never has been a problem, well in the past. The new menu axes most of the old inuding some favorites. What is left has smaller portions and was overcooked. Servers are inattentive, the atmosphere is dead from old locatio to new. With the open space of the new location it is impossible to hear people at your own table including the server. The table are cramped and uncomfortable. All the charm and class the restaurant had once is long gone. Never coming back.
I was excited to see a new place open up in the neighbourhood. Our daughter s communion was coming up and we looked into booking the downstairs private room. Called the restaurant and 1 of the owners called back. He had a time slot available that afternoon. Great! We went in to see him. First off he had no other ideas for different option other than the bland out of date dishes on the 1950 s menu. Ok, so we ll go with those. He then told us that he would speak to his partner and call us back in a day or 2 with a price. Well he called back 2-1/2 weeks later saying that he didn t call earlier as he felt that we were not going to book anyways. Well guess what? How can I book a place that has no other suggestions for food options and calls back 2 weeks later. Anyways your loss not mine. I know you ve been in business for 30year plus. I think it s gotten to your head. You should find a different avenue of business. Maybe one that doesn t require customer service.
Just had dinner at Mezza Notte. Our food arrived quickly. I ordered the Fettucine DEstate. It was just so/so. My husband had the Rigatoni Russa and the pasta was hard. The service was fine. Be aware that it is very loud in the restaurant. We have a regular Italian restaurant in Scarborough which is far better. Disappointed. Parking: Disappointed.
Food was good as was service. Only downfall thatll keep me from returning is the fee for bread. To refer the restaurant as being authentic Italian.....this is a definite faux pas.....bread is to be served as customary upon being seated. If you want to nickel and dime....bake the cost into the entrees.
First time visiting here for a friends birthday and tried their rib eye. Delicious food, great service, beautiful atmosphere. Keep up the great work. I am learning Italian and their staff was very kind and hospitable in helping me to understand some things on the menu. Food
Absolutely love everything about this place. I recommend the rice balls, lamb shanks and tiramisu with espresso. Amazing espresso!!
The food was fresh, reasonably priced, and the flavors went together really well. some of the best tiramisu and fresh bread weve ever had. Great valentines day spot. Will definitely be back.
We went to celebrate a friends birthday - her choice of the restaurant. The food was good, the service could be improved - pretty slow and our waiter wasnt very attentive. The atmospheres is good, but noisy. We were surprised when we were charged $10 for a piece of cake with a candle. Guess we shouldnt have presumed that it was complementary...on the plus side, it was a delicious piece of tiramisu ;o)
Bad service,bad tiramisu
Not worth the wait. Appetizer and main course was ok but tiramisu was the driest tiramisu I have ever had. Service was slow and with bad attitude. Will not come back.
Mezzanotte Restaurant made my moms 90 birthday truly memorable! The staff was attentive, the food was exquisite, and the ambiance was perfect for celebrating such a special occasion. Highly recommend for any special event!
We celebrated my sons baptism at Mezzanotte. The food was amazing! All the guests enjoyed themselves. The staff were all so pleasant and accommodating. Gus (one of the owners) had great suggestions for setting up the space and very helpful ideas for our menu. He was always happy to help and checked in throughout the night. He let us use their basement hall (free of charge), which was cozy and intimate for our event (of about 20 guests). He allowed us to bring the cake, bomboniere, and flowers in the morning ahead of the function. Jen was our server and she was awesome as well. I would definitely book my next event at Mezzanotte. I also highly recommend Mezzanotte if youre looking to book a private function. The food is on point, the people are polite, accommodating and well organized, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Vegetarian options: Menu options allow for fish and dairy free options.
I took my mum and daughters on Feb 8 for my mum s 87th birthday. The food was great and the service super. The waitress was so friendly and helpful and really added to the whole vibe. I ll definitely be going again.
The tables are so small that you can barely put anything on it. The atmosphere is not conducive to date night or Valentine s Day. There is little space between tables so it feels like you are double dating as you are sitting so close to other people and you can hear them. The food was okay, nothing to rave about.
Ate here before was delicious. Was very excited to go again Made reservations a week in advance and once we arrived they informed us they were closed for a private event. Very inconvenient after making a special trip to eat here. Loved the food but very disappointed.
Ive eaten here before, but this/that night, the chef was a little off. Willing to give it another try
Went for dinner on Wednesday, December 13th. Ordered our usual pizza, but it was not that good that night, I think they were too busy because of Christmas. The pizza was too well done. I do love their pizza usually though.
We were really hoping for an authentic Italian experience in our neighbourhood but ended up with a Italian restaurant run by non Italians. No bread and focaccia made on pizza dough layered with onions. Save your money. Take a pass. Food : 2/5
Have ordered online multiple times. Great pizza, impeccable customer service.
Very disappointing The most important thing when we enter a restaurant is to feel welcome but unfortunately that was not the case. My husband and I went to this restaurant to have a dinner after a long day of work expecting to have a good time but the man who welcomed us (the manager or owner, maybe) acted arrogantly and without cordiality. We were sent to the room downstairs, maybe because we didn t have reservation. The waiter who served us was very attentive and friendly but the food was just ok and the tiramisu is not worthy it We were expecting more from an Italian restaurant.
Amazing food! My pizza was delicious! I really liked the atmosphere and what the host was very pleasant. Lovely place!
Excellent service & quick service for lunch. Portion sizes were good value. Very tasty!
Amazing food and really good portion. Pizza was spectacular! Food
My daughter and I were invited to a baby shower and the food was excellent . We really enjoyed everything. No complaints, we will 100% visit again forsure !
Service was excellent
Little pricey... food not bad but nothing special.
I went for dinner last night with my friend. The food was very expensive and the portions were very small $24 for a plate of pasta. You would think that you would get some bread the taste of the food wasn t that great either I don t think I ll be going back, this was my first time
Celebrated my Moms 80th Birthday at Mezza Notte Trattoria ... one word: FANTASTIC!
Appetizers were good. We had mussels, calamari and bread with warm olive oil. Entrees were underwhelming. The steak my bf ordered was sent back for being tough. My ossobucco lacked flavour. The restaurant is very sterile and it is way too loud. Parking: Limited parking in front of restaurant. Unfortunately, a customer with a large SUV decided to take up 2 spots.
Disappointed with our dinner. The meal at best was mediocre.... it was way over-priced. The restaurant atmosphere is sterile with its white walls. FYI charged us for bread ?? Come on !
Had a wonderful weeknight dinner at Mezza Notte with friends. The restaurant is bright and modern with excellent ambiance for conversation. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would recommend the Frittura Mista, Insalata di Radicchio, Arancini and the Casarecce Norcina. I will come back to try something new next time. This cozy spot is also excellent value, look at the menu!!!
Food was amazing!!! And their pizza is fantastic!! I will definitely go back!
The food is just as good as the old location. The wine is great and the new decor is really fresh. But unfortunately halfway through our meal I saw our server stick his fingers in the cheese dish and eat it. Only posting because the manager seemed pretty okay with this situation.
Mezza Notte has been my main go to/order in restaurant for many, many years. I cant wait to visit Gus at his new location. Heather Laytner Sherman
Average food and service. Nothing special.
First time at this location. Food was very good. Service was very slow and the atmosphere was very loud and difficult to have a conversation.
The atmosphere wasnt Italian feeling like the original location
We used their catering service for 2 event in the last 2 months and both times the food was excellent. It arrived on time, and the food was delivered in foil pans with lids and then in a card board box which kept the food warm. We had penne vodka which our guest loooved, lemons chicken, veal and mushroom masala, grilled veggies, risotto and salad. All absolutely delicious! Rob was the person who we connected with to set up our menu and he was lovely to work with. All in all Mezza Notte s food and service was amazing! We look forward to eating in there soon or using them for another event. Hundred percent recommend!
OMG , the food was so good, finally a great restaurants in the neighborhood. Dine in or take out the food is the same quality. Thanks Rob for a great night.
New location not quite ready for prime time. We always enjoyed the Yonge Street spot so we decided to try the new Dufferin location. Reservations highly recommended. On walking in the place was full and the noise level was 10+. They have a downstairs dining room and we checked it out, same noise level so we stayed upstairs. Wines by the glass start at about $15, which we think is pricey. We ordered an Italian salad, a pizza and a pasta with grilled chicken. Salad served quickly, but came with the root end of the romaine which the server and manager thought was appropriate (we disagree). The pizza and pasta and took over 30 minutes to arrive. Food was well prepared and tasty. Bottles of still water left on the table is great. Dining rooms need baffles, carpeting of wall coverings to reduce the noise. Its nice to be able to speak to and hear others at the table. Servers try hard but need some more time to get it right. Vegetarian options: Pizza and the pasta without the chicken, otherwise no choices.
Loved this place food is excellent, owner always comes by to make sure everything is perfect. Second time in a month here . Great food great place.
Amazing Food , Great Service ! would recommend
As always a fantastic experience great food, great ambiance
Cute local Italian restaurant. Decor is simple, modern, and clean. It was a busy night, so it was very noisy and difficult to have a conversation. Service was slow, but Ill blame it on a busy evening. Cesar salad and Margarita pizza were fine. Tiramisu was light on the coffee flavour but still delicious.
The food was very good and a good size portion however the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is definitely family oriented.
Awesome establishment my neighbourhood has gained a wonderful place to eat, drink and enjoy. Try it out and experience it and I know you will love it.
Great place. great owners. Great food.
Pastas are a little over priced, but okay. Loved the desserts!!
Thr food was fine, however the venue itself, was so bad, it made the entire experience an unpleasant one. You literally had to scream to hear guests that were sitting right across from you. The other problem, was that there was at least 20 - 25 steps to use downstairs washroom. Too bad! This was our first and last time at the new Mezza Notte.
Vegetarian options: The restaurant has a great selection of vegetarian .options ranging from pizza to pasta Food
Great atmosphere, fun times fantastic food.
This Mezzanotte relocated from Yonge street to now on Dufferin. The best pasta dishes from the Yonge street location are no longer being offered. No more complimentary bread. Food is good but not great. Prices are up, food quantity down and overall this 10/10 restaurant is regrettably now a 7/10 restaurant. Too bad as this used to be a favorite.
What was supposed to be a dinner celebrating my mom s birthday, turned out to be a disaster. I made a reservation a week prior to the date. Was confirmed by the gentleman on the phone and thought that was it. Turns out, the incompetent gentleman did not record our reso and we showed up (9 of us) to a packed house and the gentleman at the door looking at us like we were crazy. He didn t offer anything or even try to accommodate us, didn t really seem to care at all that his staff screwed up and said, well, what do you want me to do? Nothing sir. Absolutely nothing. We went to Moretti and had the best meal. With customer service like that, we ll never go back to this location again.
Amazing authentic Italian food. Please do yourself a favor and go!
Came to visit this new place in the neighborhood..ordered a pizza beer and sangria. Waitress informed us that they didnt have any sangria today so reccomended a drink called Paloma which was supposedly close taste to sangria...until my date tried it and it was nothing close and a very sour tasting drink. She literally had a sip and it still looked as if it was new ..told our waitress we didnt like it and if there was something else such as a margarita which she informed us that they couldnt make cause of ingredients. So we shared our beer and pizza . Asked for the bill and ti my surprise they charged me for the drink . Even mentioned it and was told that the boss said the drink was poured so they have to charge . Never in my life have I witnesses such .even Tim Hortons would replace your drink ..I didnt want nothing for free . Just a replacement with simlar taste to what I was trying to order . I even left a tip because its not the waitress fault either..piss poor management whom obviously never heard of spillage or word of mouth advertising which Ill be sure to let everyone know not to visit this place . It only cost me 15 to realize Ill never go back and 15 to ruin your reputation ..I guess thats how it goes when you obviously hurting for the money that youd pull a move like that .. also had a hair In my pizza that I didnt even mention to them . Ya, stay away from this place..much better options near by that know how to treat customers with
Great pizzas and fantastic service. Always have great food.
Great foot. Friendly service.
Delicious
We had take out two days in a row for dinner. The food is absolutely delicious! Will definitely come back.
Outstanding. Im so happy to see this restaurant has moved to a better location . Located on Duffren between Lawrence Avenue and Orfus Road . This newly opened location well surely impress even the fussiest of diners. They offer the same great quality that they had on Young Street and in some ways I find it even better. I love the new decor it looks very nice. They also have a private function room available if youre having any kind of special event. They also do catering as well as possibly delivery but I would strongly suggest you ask the management about that. As a regular of their other location its nice to see that other faithful customers are also making the trip across the city to enjoy the dining experience at this location. They have a very loyal fan base and I wish them all the best at their new location. This amazing review will cost you an appetizer of calamari !! Kidding . Anyways thank you to all the hardworking staff and management for their outstanding efforts at providing an upscale and excellent dining experience.
Lovely patio set up and beautiful dining room inside. Im happy to have sat on the patio as the indoor dining area echoes and it can be quite loud. The food is good but wasnt as flavourful as I had hoped. Most of our order was seafood so maybe next time Ill order something else. I will say, service is very good. Everyone is pleasant and our orders came at a reasonable pace. Parking: Parking lot is very small. Street parking is available on the street in the evenings at no cost.
I have been to many Italian restaurants and I was very impressed with Mezza Notte trattoria. I really enjoyed the pasta and pizza dishes that I have tired so far. The taste and quality are of the highest level! The inside of the restaurant and patio and really beautifully done also.
Everything we ordered was outstanding! The pasta casarecce with rapini, ground sausage and truffle oil was AAAAMAZING!!!
Kid-friendliness: Yes Food
First time at new location. Not alot of parking. Interior is beautiful but noisy. Food was delicious.. however no bread provided like most Italian restaurants. No bruchetta or garlic bread on the menu either. Drinks are priced quite high as well. Main courses and pasta were very good but upon asking for spaghettini, cappalini or angel hair pasta I was told it wasnt available. Would I return? Maybe.
I enjoyed the service, the staff and the food. It was a very loud place though.
A big thank you to Rob Gus and crew for the absolutely delicious meal. Great to see Mezza Notte open again in a gorgeous new setting! I can t recommend this spot enough! Beautiful restaurant and patio, delicious food, great service, could not ask for more!
Overall, attentive service throughout the evening. Great menu and the grilled fish plate was excellent. Highly recommend.
The service was quick and the vibe at the restaurant was great (esp the music) and I really enjoyed the dishes I ordered. Fettuccine d estate, didn t have a tomato based sauce, as it s base is just extra virgin olive oil. Super delicious and pasta was cooked perfectly. Insalata di radicchio, one of my favourite salads! It was sweet, a bit sour and bitter but went really well with the walnuts and blue cheese. Vitello saltimbocca, this dish was a bit too salty for me but the veal was cooked really tender.
Great authentic Italian food.
Clean, nice staff, reasonable price. Food was good. Food
The food was pretty good but I was surprised with the service. We arrived and were seated and given water. The waitress came over right away and started telling us about the specials of the day. We were not asked if we wanted a cocktail. We had to ask her for one. We were not given a wine list. We had to ask for it. Food was very good. We loved the Arancini and I had the Salmon for my main and it was delicious. My friend had a pasta dish and she enjoyed it also.
Its so unfortunately loud in one big square area...there was no ambiance and i could barely hear my friend speak at the same table as me
Excellent location with excellent food. My only gripe is that voices seem to echo in there and it feels really noisy. Not the ideal restaurant atmosphere.
There were only three tables occupied during lunch hours. The waiter wasnt friendly. He didnt smile at all or make the slightest effort to have a co left a generous tip...and he gave me a ver The Rigatoni was very good but the portion could have been larger (No bread on the able) The Tirramisu was ok.
The food was very good, the service was good, the atmosphere was pleasant.
I wish I could have lunch at Mezza Notte Trattoria every day. Love sea food prepared there.
I ordered the black squid ink spaghetti and the cured meats and cheese for appetizer. Ordering the cured meats and cheese was a terrible idea - nothing on the plate looked presentable, the cheese was dry and cut randomly in different sizes, and the meats were messy. It felt like they didnt even try for this dish. However, the black squid ink spaghetti was delicious with a generous amount of seafood. The staff was super nice and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely. I would go again for their pasta and seafood.
Great place to have a nice sit down meal with family or friends with some delicious Italian cuisine and atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend. Parking: The parking out front fills up fast but there is plenty across the road or on the side street.
Celebrated my Birthday party for 20 in the private party room ! Spectacular food and service! Highly recommended for a experience
Optimal
Amazing veal chop! Juicy and tender!
As an Italian myself, the food is excellent!!! Highly recommend!
The food was amazing and fresh, wow. What a local Gem. Taste almost like homemade.
Amazing restaurant. The best food I ve had in years. Wonderful atmosphere with servers who were available without them hovering around. A new experience with the many different foods that were brought to the table. Wine list is small but I think there s something for everyone s palate. All in all a very enjoyable evening. Make Mezza Notte your next destination.
Decent service, food was just ok. Place is a bit loud for my liking.
Food was average, good but nothing special
Second time dining here. This time dined downstairs in the small party room. Loved the quieter room. Amazing food, great service, great atmosphere. Pizza was delicious..thin crunchy crust. My husband and son in law devoured the mussels in red sauce and enjoyed sopping up the sauce with the crusty fresh bread. Well be returning for sure.
Amazing italian place. I heard this place was recently renovated and you can tell because it looks very modern and new. We arrive on a Thursday at 8 pm and it was empty but by 8:30 was packed. The cozze marinara and the pizza with pesto was out of this world. The service was excellent and everything looks super clean. Parking: It has limited space in front but there are free options nearby. Can be a little bit more dificult to find a place if you go for lunch
Amazing Brand New Location. Well done Team Mezza Note. From the decor to all food dishes and especially the service. Fantastic on every level. Bravo Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp available
This place is the bomb. Looks fancy enough for a good dinner stop, yummy food. The new location does have a few problems, like how they have unlabeled washrooms and most of the menus food being erased, but other than that its good. The new salted cookie was very tasty.
Amazing food, friendly staff and convenient location. Robert and Gus are doing everything right. Parking: Close and covenient Kid-friendliness: My grandson loves their pizza
Very clean and lovley place will be bring my family here to enjoy the hospitality.
Amazing restaurant

Great Italian spot, food was really good! Everyone there was helpful and nice!!
We brought together a group for dinner. It was accommodated with no problem thanks to owner Robert Savonarota. Our dinner was excellent. It was very authentic and classic Italian. The service from Maria our waitress was great.
Very good food end service thanks
The food is delicious and highly recommend.
This place has the most amazing Italian food I have had in a long time. The presentation and the taste is unbelievable. We had sea bass it s was to die for. My new place to go. The service was amazing. Thanks Agusto for your hospitality
Excellent food and service as I bring family and friends. Parking: plenty of parking Food : 5/5 |
The place was really loud. You couldnt hear yourself think. No parking also, only had about 5 spots in front. Had to park across the street at the mall and dodge traffic crossing he street to get to the restaurant. Side streets were packed. Just a OK spot, probably not going back. Definitely NOT worth the money they charge for the food.
I Was here for a baby shower. Food was unbelievable!! Fresh, delicious and hot. The service was also amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. I will definitely be going back and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a regular day or special event Food
Good authentic Italian restaurant. Not a lot of curb appeal but dont let that fool you! The food was good. The Tiramisu is homemade and is the best Ive ever had! It was light and perfect! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the service was not hospitable. He did the job fine but was curt.
Thanks to the people in our neighborhood who recommended this restaurant for our event. This is an amazing restaurant with wonderful staff 10/10. And 10/10 food!
Tried the new location after frequenting the previous two locations many times. . The food was excellent as always. Delicious Italian food and prices were fairly reasonable. Service wasn t bad, the waiter was friendly except he forgot to bring us the bread and we had to ask for it. Unfortunately as others have mentioned it is way too loud. Also, the ambience of the room was not very good, too many tables packed together in one room with fairly basic decor. Overall I found this new location a little disappointing and I probably would not go back unless during a less busy day of the week or maybe in the summer when the patio is open.
This is an authentic Italian cuisine. When I was in Rome, Italy, most Italians common foods were pastas and pizzas. Well, this is my comfort Italian food because I missed eating in Rome. I found this place a great Italian restaurant I ever had.
Food was delicious. Price was very reasonable. And the staff were wonderful.
