Still one of my favorites for curry goat I feel the selection of goat that they have been using is going down a bit but I feel the taste cant be beat anywhere else

This restaurant has been around for more than 20+ yrs & the taste of the food remains consistent. My favorites are the Curry Goat (best in Toronto!), I also love their Oxtail-its so soft & tender with a rich gravy. The staff is very nice & service is pretty quick so you are in & out in no time. This is my go to Jamaican spot for the authentic tasting food, tourists & visitors to Toronto should put this restaurant on their bucket list of must trys when visiting the city!

Ive had my fair share of Jamaican food from a restaurant, but THIS place?! Wow. I got an order of curry goat and fried chicken...2 things - like I was eating food in Jamaican and my grandmothers cooking; food was AMAZING and on POINT! The goat was salted right and had the right amount of pepper . And the staff was friendly, quick and polite. Had to tip her!

I went there for the 1st time my order was fried chicken the taste is good But the chicken ice cream very cold, I brought my point up while I was there, without anything being resolved thats it for me.

Went there the first time recently as Ive heard there food is good. Also with previous reviews indicating the curried goat was always on point, I decided to opt for this. In truth it was very good. Perfectly spiced.

First time trying authentic Jamaican food and it blew us away. The flavour was so rich. We tried the jerk chicken and the curry goat, both were so tender and flavourful. We will make the 2 hour drive again to have more. Highly recommend!

After hearing about their curry goat . Travelled all the way from Oshawa, battling lots of road closure and construction to only find out . They take only cash .

There s no point in paying $12 for a large & $10 for a small when the containers both sizes hold the same amount of food. I realize you can t call and place an order for pick up cause customers service sucks on that stand point your food wouldn t be ready specially if you just told them you re around the corner. I order a meal and thought it was fresh food I was receiving when they ran out of rice and didn t even think to ask if you would rather something else due to re-warm day old rice it ended up running my stomach for the rest of the day. Don t get me wrong they have great food just not the best customer service they need a bit of improvement. Take this in serious consideration to make ur business better!

If you want to taste real Jamaican food this is the place! They catered our holiday event and the food was so flavorful, hot and fresh. The staff were also so professional. We will definitely be ordering here again.

A friend suggested that I try the place, because they have amazing curried goat. Since its close to home, I went. Boy am I happy that I did. Absolutely fantastic food. So delicious, good portions and awesome friendly staff. I couldnt believe how tender and delectable the goat was. You must try it!!! Now if only you could get boneless, I would be in heaven.

There is where Serious food is cooked and available 7 days a week, thank you, Chef!! The staffs customer service and the mannerisms given is appreciated everytime and it is a pleasure especially during these Serious and Critical Times that were living in. Sometimes it hit or miss. Later in the evening you dont get as fresh food. Despite asking for extra jerk gravy, it always ends up less or barely. Very dissatisfying becuase you really wanna savour that jerk chicken with that gravy. Otherwise its too dry.

Went in Sun Dec 18/22 @18:45 The smell of the building was upsetting, its smells like old construction demolition. I could hardly breathe had to wait outside and watch through the window. Ordered medium oxtail and medium goat. Not rice and peas available so white rice it was. I did not look at the receipt but when food was ready I drove away and proceed to eat in the car at another location. Both foods were curry goat. I started eating half way through I started vomiting. I never vomit 25 years. Renovation customer service badly needed for this establishment.

First time buying from this place, first off let me say how discussing the lady s attitude was. She walked to the kitchen preparing our food without even cleaning her hands. A friend of mine recommended this place never again! The chicken was breaking apart so easy it was overcooked, it was not fried it was probably baked and had no flavour they also used Chinese rice it was a sticky and also had no flavour or seasoning. The only good thing about this place was actually the veggies.

It was Monday and we bought the beef soup and it was obviously watered down at the end of the evening. Very disappointed. If the soup dun it dun , nuh water it dung fi stretch it.

I was in the area and noticed the restaurant was still still open. We ordered two fried chicken meals for $10 each. We were very disappointed with the food. The chicken was very dry and didnt have any flavour due to not being seasoned. The rice and peas was very bland and tasteless. We felt terrible about having to take a few bites, only to have the rest thrown out. I regret not reading recent reviews. I hope that this location specifically can improve, as I want to continue to support black owned businesses, especially being Jamaican myself. Jamaica House has an esteemed reputation. I know that if this location puts their heart into it, the food will taste better.

They dont present the meal very well and the rice lacked a touch a flavor. Again, I know there is another location....maybe this is where the hype is.

Lovely restaurant with the freshest ingredients. Definitely recommend you should try the Curried Goat with rice and a side salad. Very savory and theyll add any spice level you can handle. Felt like I was back home in Port Antonio. Whoever slaughtered the goat did a perfect job. There werent tonnes of splinters in my meat. So it was great to chew and suck every bite. Mwah! Delicious!

I will never eat from any of Jamaica house again. Both brampton and Toronto. Visited the Toronto location recently and outside smelled like dead animal. Then I went inside the restaurant and it smelled like rotten chicken. I was so turned off . I immediately left the restaurant without purchasing a thing

I got curry goat and I dont know if it was because it was late but the rice was very and I mean very stale. I travel to this location specifically because I like there food but I honestly wont be back 20 dollars for stale rice. Cyan believe it. Three stars is for the currt goat which was decent and spicy.

I have always been a supporter of Jamaica house but today, I realized why people say they dont support black business. I ordered a large oxtail for $16.00 and they must have thought the order was for a dog, not one piece of meat just bones and one spoon of bones. I have ordered small oxtail before and received just as much bone but at least some meat. They are disgusting and need to treat people better than that, its not free. I just paid $16.00 for bones, no gravy and tasteless cabbage. Lesson learned
